I’ll be honest here homie the things I Won’t write are pretty slim

Like I guess anything sexual that’s like,,, literally dirty (scat, piss) or like major age gaps (teacher/student), daddy kinks make me pretty uncomfy but I’m not Opposed to writing them. If it comes up in my writing because it’s the most accurate thing a character might say in the moment, then whatever, but ageplay for the most part is off the table.

I also won’t romanticize abuse or mental illness. It’s probably come up in my older works (because I was 16 when I started writing), but it wasn’t okay for me to write then, and it’s not okay for me to write now.

To each their own and all that, but I have my own personal issues with the romanticization of that stuff, hence why I won’t write it.

Otherwise the door is pretty wide open, ya know? I mean I’ve got anything from mermaid aus to tentacle porn on my Wattpad so like,,, I don’t know how strict you think my guidelines are but uhhh,,,, they really aren’t

If it wasn't public from the get-go, it's public very early all because of him. Maybe it's a few soft launch pics. Your hand in a photo. Both of your meals side by side. The back of your head in a store. Whatever. Even if you're not keen on the posts, he simply says, "Don't worry, love. I wouldn't post anything to upset you!" — as he is posting things that are upsetting you.

Then, one day, he full-on posts a video with you in it. Maybe a recap of the month. Or him doing a silly video where you just so happen to be in view, clearly on accident!

It blows up clearly. And he's quick to respond, of course influencer style: sat down in front of the camera with a ringlight and a serious face. Thing is, Kaidan may be delusional to the point of insanity, but if anyone hurts you, he sees right through that part of his brain and protects you — but because his fans are his income, he tries to be as polite as he can. He's not that dumb to leave his fans to rip into you because 'they're just supporting me!' He loves you too much to do that.

And i guess saying disappointing is an understatement ‘cause.. Obviously i’m not talking about everyone there are good gems out there but some people really are disgusting.

So i come back home (obviously you can tell that i missed Hobi’s live T-T) So i decided to catch up with what i’ve missed and since i want to be sitting around not doing much to watch the whole live i decided to watch snippets which allowed me to know that Jimin visited Hobi (My Jihope heart was so happy AAAAH!!) Right!

Now the reason why i’m linking the video instead of just downloading it and posting it is because of the comments. The video is nice, just our Jihope being Jihope nothing new, obviously unless one is blind yes Jimin went for Hobi’s neck for a peck or maybe not can’t tell with the angle but a peck nonetheless. It’s bad enough that some people have the audacity to make aus with that plot actually, where Jimin is actually being passed around between the members to satisfy their sexual desires and fantasies. Don’t get me wrong you do you when you’re writing a fiction but inspiring your characters from real people with such plots.. I’m not even going to talk about other more disgusting and disturbing plots i came across. 

Just because he did that with one person, it doesn’t mean he goes around doing the same thing to all the members. Yes i get it, it’s a joke, i’m not a party-pooper i also like joking around as long as it brings no harm to anyone, do people even realize that whatever shit they say online can be picked up by the media? Let’s go on your “Just a joke” train and keep it that way right? When the next day media start posting articles about how Jimin is a .. I’m not even going to say the word this infuriates me actually, going around pleasuring the members then what? You think everyone knows not to believe Koreaboo or Music Mundial or Allkpop? 

Your “simple joke” can turn to a nasty rumor about Jimin and then later you’ll be fighting those medias about it, about the same stupid ass joke you thought was funny a few days ago! Grow the fuck up! Some shit can be said online and some shit is best kept away from prying eyes. Y’all are nasty!

I’ve been wondering.

For the past week, I’ve been wondering about what Jeon Jungkook would do for Park Jimin’s birthday  privately. Because I was 100% sure he wouldn’t appear in JM’s vlive, just as much as I was 100% sure JM wouldn’t vlive from his private home (my reasons being, are probably for another post though … 😁). BUT, at the same time I did  wonder; since JK doesn’t have the excuse of being at the company anymore, and since he is not going to release another 100% centric Jimin GCF; … what is he going to do? So you might be wondering: if you didn;t think he was going to do anything public, why still wonder about what he could do?

MIND YOU, being the private person that he is (they are), I did for the most part  expected JK to not post anything at all. So I was actually at work wanting to talk to my loved one and not being able to (don’t ask…) while waiting for some Jikookers to beg for JK to post something, the whole time thinking “…  it would be nice if they’d leave JK alone, is not like he is going to publicly do anything ..”. AND THEN, the second I thought that, I remember about last years birthday and I was like “🤦🏾‍♀️🙄😒😬…”.

Which brought me right back to the me that had been hypothetically thinking about “if, then what?”. If JK really wanted to publicly wish JM a happy birthday in a still intimate way but still not being caught: HOW THE FUCK WOULD HE DO THAT? 

Believe it or not, I thought he’d rely on his Golden Closet Film. Crazy right?! I mean there is  NOTHING remotely covert about that. To be precise, in my imagination, they’d already be in Busan, and he’d gift us with GCF in BUSAN. But … BRUH~! That would be so fucking OBVIOUS. The unrivalled magic word that just by merely uttering it, it’s capable of having a sea of people hella insecure and another strongly rooted in their fraternal beliefs, ALL at the same time. BRO; three letters one (apparent and alleged) meaning; The word that would rule them all. The word that was apparently never used in any other meaning aside from its “blood-relative” dictionary meaning, never in any type of history. JK uttered this word and successfully appeased and potentially misled all those who suddenly got lost. 

Nevermind the shivers I got when JK came on weverse just saying jjyaman... I was like “JK?...👀👀👀” which proved me that I was wrong 😬😬😬

Which he then followed with a happy birthday … to which I was like “oh, I see, okay, never mind, an awkward but simple, happy birthday…”

I don’t even know where to begin with this, no cap. Like … FAM, BRUH~, BRO! The whole almost minute before he delivered his very simple message, what was that?! Like WHAT WAS THAT?? I am this anon and I want to clarify something. I saw a post from an o/lers fan probably in response to my message mentioning how every team has bad guys and I know that. Everyone knows that. But this person mentioned e/vander k/ane as the o/ilers bad guy and my message wasn't about him, I know none of them likes him, as they should. But I also know, and you can see for yourself if you go check their fandom lb tag and h/yman tag, that most of them loves that man. And I do find evil someone going their own way to make fandom content about a man that publicly supports an ongoing genocide. The same way b/lackhawks fans kept making content about p/atrick k/ane was evil and everyone also called them out on it.

If they don't support that zionist they shouldn't be so mad at people pointing out their fanbase supports him.

i hear what you’re saying and i understand why that would make anyone uncomfortable. i’d just like to also say, even if “most of them love that man” (which i was unaware/am surprised to hear) i don’t know that we can condemn the few people in that fandom that do not agree or do not interact with those showing him support. i’m not sure if i make complete sense, sorry. i guess what i’m getting at is there will be bad eggs and good eggs in any fandom and maybe it’s naive but i like to separate the good and bad. i think there are some nice people who genuinely do not stand by him and still root for that team. i am not privy to the positive content about him (nor what their regular content consists of) since i cannot call myself someone who participates in that fandom. if we circle this back to the post i made in the lb, i swear it was an innocent joke about the goal post making some saves, it was not meant as an implication in any way that i am a zionist sympathizer (edit: if you were implying that anyone rooting for that team is considered one just because he plays for them).

These People Are Nuts! 1989 New Wave / Punk Rock / Alternative Rock / College Rock / Post-Punk / Power Pop / Ska

Here's a nice retrospective rundown of one of the greatest and most eclectic indie labels of the 1980s: I.R.S. Records, which was headquartered in the US, but had a whole lot of UK bands on its roster too. Founded in 1979 by a guy named Miles Copeland, I.R.S. started out primarily as a punk outfit, but as new wave proceeded to develop, it sunk its teeth firmly into that movement too, landing a bunch of acts along the way whose material was considered to be strange, zany, quirky, and campy, like Oingo Boingo and Timbuk 3.

But between all the acts that ultimately end up lending to this album's title being These People Are Nuts! are a bunch of bands who aren't considered to be all that weird too, like The Police, The Go Go's, Buzzcocks, R.E.M., and Fine Young Cannibals. So, what we really have here is a nice blend of genuinely good punk and alternarock with straight-up enjoyably silly and irony-laden new wave.

But this album that celebrates I.R.S.' tenth-year anniversary actually opens with a song that predates the label's existence entirely: it's the B-side of the debut record by the band that Miles Copeland's brother, Stewart, happened to play drums for: "Nothing Achieving," by The Police, a terrific classic rock-punk tune that was released in 1977 on another one of Miles' labels he had founded beforehand, Illegal Records.

And another great tune from those pre-I.R.S. days comes courtesy of a little-known band called The Electric Chairs, who, at the time, were fronted by a performer named Wayne County, who now goes by Jayne County. County is someone who holds the honor of being rock music's first openly trans vocalist, and she ended up working with a lot of famous people throughout her career, including David Bowie. Plus, she was also at the Stonewall Riots. So, she's an absolute legend, to say the least, and her band's punk song, "Thunder," which predates her publicly identifying as a woman, was released on Illegal in 1979.

Also, have you ever wondered where the great Fatboy Slim derived his stage name from? Well, it probably came from Maryland's Root Boy Slim, a brilliant and eccentric rabble-rouser who went to Yale and then came back on homecoming weekend the year after he had graduated and got kicked out and permanently banned from his frat house by none other than future war criminal president George W. Bush himself. His song, "Dare to Be Fat," kinda-sorta answers the question of, "what if Frank Zappa was a black blues-rocker?"

And there's a bunch of other songs from this compilation I could write about too, like The Go Go's’ "We Got the Beat," a landmark new wave tune that convinced the group to head towards a sound that was more new wave than punk; or the Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen in Love," which presented a pretty perfect mix of late 70s punk rock and power pop; or Fine Young Cannibals' debut single, "Johnny Come Home," which showed the world this band's signature mix of rock and ska, along with Roland Gift's uniquely satisfying and tender voice.

But I think I'm gonna dedicate a few sentences to a deeply misunderstood song instead: "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades," by Timbuk 3. If you've ever heard this top-20 mid-80s hit before, then there's a pretty solid chance that you're among the many people who think of it as quite possibly the dorkiest song that the new wave era ever spat out.

I mean, peep this refrain if you're not familiar:

I'm doing alright Getting good grades The future's so bright I gotta wear shades

Now, is it possible that this song was made in a sort of tongue-in-cheek backlashing kind of way in response to all the live fast-die hard, sex-drugs-and-rock n' roll music that was going around back then? Sure, I guess so. But the song wasn't even really so much as that. It was more about the banality of contributing to an evil system and feeling as though you were on the right path. See, "I Gotta Wear Shades" is told from the perspective of a young nuclear scientist at the height of the Cold War, and that brightness in the future he refers to is actually referencing the potential detonation of the nukes that he's been working on. It's a really cleverly-made song that became a pretty big hit, but people never really seemed to understand the message that was behind it. It certainly wasn't a song to celebrate strait-laced, apple-polishing nerds.

So, there you have it: a nice and varied set of songs from a transcontinental indie label that played a big role in shaping new wave, punk, and alternative rock through its first ten years and change. There wasn't really any other label that was quite like I.R.S. Records. A lot of names that would end up defining eras and styles, along with some real kooks too.

Hi! I came across your blog a couple of days back when I was going through the rwrb tag on tumblr and the perspectives you're sharing were new to me. I have a couple of questions and I promise I'm coming from a place of genuine curiosity and desire to learn, and not to attack you. There's a good chance I might inadvertently say something offensive because, tbh because of the places I've lived in, I have not had a chance to interact personally with any Jewish people. So my ignorance is probably, I admit, shamefully high. For eg, till I read your posts, I did not know about the existence of 'ethnic religions'. So a) sorry in advance if I offend you, b) I hope it's okay that I'm asking these questions. I did some reading over the past few days about Judaism and ethnoreligious groups. My understanding so far is - 1) Judaism accepts conversions 2) Children of mixed marriages can be considered Jewish, based on different rules for different denominations 3) Jewish people can have different racial and ethnic backgrounds (I assume this is a result of mixed heritages, conversions, non-traditional family structures, etc.) After I learnt all this, I'm a bit confused about the following - 1) Why is the assumption that the character Nora's ethnicity/appearance is what would 'traditionally' be associated with Judaism? Is there some mention in the book that she doesn't have African-American heritage? It's been a while since I did a thorough reading so it's very possible I've forgotten such a detail. 2) Do we know that the actor playing Nora is definitely Christian? Has she publicly stated any religious beliefs? Or is it an assumption? I'm wondering if there's a chance that one or both of the actor's parents are Jewish? Or maybe she's Jewish by descent but maybe doesn't practice the religion (my understanding is such people are still accepted as Jewish)? 3) Unless the actor has definitely stated that she practices another religion and is not Jewish by birth, is the expectation that a person has to be publicly open about their religious beliefs or ethnicity (since that's not always obvious by appearance)? If yes, I'm wondering if that sort of expectation is fair? Is it not the right of each person to share that information if and when they want to? I know there are plenty of people who do acknowledge this publicly, and then proceed to champion others of similar backgrounds, but maybe not everyone is in a position to be open about such information when they could be discriminated against, especially at a younger age/level of experience? Is it not unfair to expect them to speak publicly about this? (I have to admit that for this point, I'm thinking mainly from the perspective of sexuality and recent events like the pressure on Kit Connor, but I feel being open about religion/ethnicity is on the same level as sexuality - it's upto each individual). I'd love to know your thoughts about all this, and sorry again if I've said something ignorant/offensive. I promise I'm just trying to educate myself.

Hi!! Thank you so much for your ask! It’s always interesting to me to hear from people who don’t know about Jewish stuff or have never met many Jews, so welcome to the blog! I’m so glad I was able to spark some intrigue.

First, you educated yourself because you were curious. That’s awesome and not many people would do the same. So you deserve credit for that. Researching and asking questions to learn stuff is what I’m all about.

I’m gonna touch on what you said first and then move onto your questions. You are totally right with everything you researched. I just wanna elaborate on them a little more because they’ll help with answering your questions.

1. We do totally accept converts. I don’t actually know much about it besides it being a long/hard process because I’m Jewish from birth, but I know I have some followers who are converts who can talk more about that if you’d want them to. When someone converts in they become (in the eyes of many branches of Judaism) as Jewish as any other. Their kids would be Jewish by birth and they themselves would be seen as having joined the tribe.

2. Children from a marriage when one parent is Jewish and the other isn’t depends on a few factors. I’ll run through each. If the child’s mom is Jewish, the child is Jewish. The Jewishness is passed from mom to baby (take that patriarchy). If that child’s father is the Jewish one, then in the eyes of Reform (the only branch I can personally speak on, but also the one that’s the most chill and progressive so this is likely the bare minimum), the kid is Jewish as long as they’re raised exclusively (or nowadays at least very firmly) Jewish. Meaning, the family isn’t totally ignoring the Jewish side. In theory, the child would be raised 100% Jewish by said family to be seen as Jewish, but in practice a mixed-family would have Christmas and stuff, which is normal. But the key point is that the Jewishness is not ignored or avoided. It’s acted on. It’s not just shelved away. Like the kid wasn’t Baptized, they attend Friday night services, or the kid went to Hebrew school. It’s an active involvement. TLDR: Dad is Jewish, kid has to be raised Jewish.

3. Yes. Jews can be of any race. There is such a wide diversity and it’s honestly one of the things I really like about being Jewish. And it’s because you can have a race and an ethnicity at the same time. Someone can be Black and Jewish, or Asian and Jewish. One doesn’t take away from the other. It adds on. I mean, you could have multiple of each I guess. You could be the child of an Afro-Latino and Asian couple who’s Jewish, that’s like a whole bunch. And it’s awesome. It’s welcomed.

Okay question time. This is already so long haha sorry about that.

1. Nora’s “appearance” and if there was anything said about her being/not being African-American. In the book CMQ did use more stereotypical descriptions of Nora, and in an image she drew of Nora, she did have more stereotypical Jewish attributes. I’ll say this is due to Casey, probably much like yourself, not having much exposure to the wide world of Jews. They come from a highly religious background where on the daily, likely, they weren’t exposed to many if any Jews. So, any Jew to Casey would’ve been seen on TV or online or talked about, and for the most part, people tend to describe or show Jews more stereotypically (either kindly or… not). So Casey used what they knew when creating Nora. To Casey, Nora had paler skin, dark curly hair. She was Jewish because Casey wrote that she was. Literally “Nora is Jewish” was what they wrote. So, the answer to your question is that the appearance was written in by Casey, but that doesn’t mean in the movie she couldn’t be African-American. Like I said, you can 100% be Black and Jewish (that would’ve been some great rep for the very underrepped part of the Jewish community) the only issue with that for RWRB, is that they forgot that second part.

2. How do we know Rachel isn’t Jewish? We know with 100% certainty that Rachel isn’t Jewish. I have previous posts about this, but I’ll try to give you a very short rundown.

- In an interview her mom said she (Rachel) was volunteering a lot with their church.

- They are an active church going family. I’ve been told by someone who attended the same church that the family would go often. This is supported with the fact that: Mom worked for the church. Sister worked for the church. Grandparents worked for the church. Aunt on father’s side works for another church. (All this was found online by googling combinations of Rachel’s name and church, Christian, etc. All on the first page when looking.)

- Instagram: Picture of young RH (Rachel Hilson) at a Christmas Eve dance and then a lot more of her and the fam celebrating all the Christian holidays.

- During the peak of the Kanye stuff, RH posted an “I support my Jewish friends” story, but didn’t say anything else on that post. Basically saying she isn’t Jewish but supports them, and the caption on that actual post itself that she reposted said “If you don’t know what to say, say this.” She still never said a word herself about stopping antisemitism.

- Rachel has tweeted and Instagramed stuff that was very obviously Christian focused. Such as talk about the holidays, the Lord’s Prayer, etc.

That’s not all, but it’s all I can remember off the top of my head. I have a longer post where I say all this and more. But it’s clear that Rachel wasn’t raised Jewish religiously since her family isn’t, and she’s not Jewish ethnically since, again, her family isn’t. I don’t think she actively practices any religion now, but that doesn’t take away that she’s not Jewish. As far as her being of Jewish descent, if she does have any sort of ancestry, it’s not in her immediate history. Both sides of grandparents raised their families non-Jewish. I’ve researched this topic of Jewish descent myself, because I was curious what the thoughts were from others. I asked if people considered someone Jewish, if they were actively not Jewish and it hadn’t been that way in at least the better part of a century. The very conservative Jews think you’re never not a Jew, if your relative was Jewish in the 1300s but converted and nobody practiced or related to being Jewish ever again, you’re still a Jew. Most people believe that if you’re actively not Jewish, and from an actively non-Jewish family, and in no way/shape/form consider yourself Jewish… Then you’re not. It depends on how much of the Jewish laws you want to consider, but for a lot of people, having a Jewish relative from a century ago, but never actively being Jewish since and instead being a part of another religion who believes Jew are “unsaved”… You’re just not Jewish. You can convert back and you may have an easier time because you have some Jewish heritage. But again, just having some Jewish heritage doesn’t make you Jewish. It would be the same way if I said that I’m Portuguese. My family hasn’t lived in Portugal since the 1500s, but it’s my ancestry. Does that make sense? God that was long, sorry.

3. Rachel has explicitly said and shown she’s not Jewish. And I guess technically her mom did too in Rachel’s interview. It’s clearly known that she isn’t, and she doesn’t pretend to not be. So for the Rachel part of the question, she was already openly non-Jewish. For the second part, I don’t think an actor has to express religious beliefs. Religion is a personal thing, yet just about every single actor in the 21st century anyway is pretty open about it. And I mean, just by way of social media, they’re not going on talk shows to discuss it, but they’ll post a holiday picture or they’ll thank Jesus in an award speech or they’ll post something along those lines. And since the majority of people tend to belong to Christianity (it’s the global big one, not a surprise), things like that are pretty normal. There are plenty of articles online that talk about the religions and ethnicities of actors. Articles from reputable places not the dailymail type of ones. An actor is never forced to admit anything about their religion, but they’ll do it on their own. Ethnicity a lot of the time is visible— NOT all of the time, of course, but for many, they can’t not reveal that. Or it’s on their Wiki somehow. Actors doesn’t have to reveal their ethnicity either, but, and here’s a trade secret between you and me, actors who are open with their ethnicities get more roles. This is because when casting something a casting director might be like “I want someone of ******” and if an actor has that background, they can have that role. Keeping things a secret means less work. I’m not talking about sexuality, that’s a different story. Sexuality is inherently personal. Ethnicity is something people can either see, or it’s on public paperwork like the census, or it’s tied to your religion, or you have no reason to not say it. Discrimination for ethnicities exists, but for actors specifically, it’s a plus not a minus, especially for the already famous ones, because then they can be used even more and bring more money to your production. So, again, sexuality is different. Actors will already be open about their religions or ethnicities without even really thinking about it, it’s not as personal as sexuality. Especially for famous actors like Natalie Portman or Joey King or Lisa Edelstein, who if they say they’re Jewish and they then face discrimination, they’d be proof of that, which there isn’t. There is for non-famous ones, but that’s when your ethnicity shows and people don’t want that, but you can’t hide that.

- religion, people post and talk about like it’s no big deal.

- ethnicities are either visible or people use them for their own gain, or they don’t mind sharing.

Week 1

Day 1:

I knew finding my motivation was going to be difficult. I had been lucky, they had informed me of my layoff on a Monday and my last day was Friday, so I did a lot of leg work early, when I was ready to say F you to my employer and work on finding a new job on company time. So, I did a lot of damage control.

       When in this situation, I’ve noticed employers (managers, higher ups, whatever) will do one of two things.

They’ll tell you early. If they like you, and it’s of benefit to the company, they’ll tell you early. Telling you early gives you the opportunity to find another role in the company. If this is something you want to do, call any internal contacts you have the moment you find out. Don’t announce anything publicly until after you’ve exhausted all these resources. If I had the option, I would’ve rather stayed with my company where I was getting a paycheck and health insurance over the severance package. However, if you don’t have this option (or, if you’re like me and take things a little too personally) then you’ll want to move quickly to option 2:

This option is for those who either were informed on a Friday they no longer have a job Monday, you’ve exhausted all your internal options to find another job at your company, or you decided staying with a company that was going to lay you off wasn’t really your cup of tea. If this is the stage of unemployment you are at, this is where your external resources will hopefully come in handy.

 I decided the Monday they told me I was being let go that I didn’t want to stay. It was an impulsive decision, one that looking back I probably shouldn’t have made, but I had already prepared for the worst and set myself up for the wheels in motion that were already moving in my head. I notified my LinkedIn community of my decision, and I started calling everyone I knew who didn’t work for the company to ask for help. This is something I wasn’t good at, not even a little.

I was an only child, with divorced parents, and though I know the stereotypes of that type of kid, I also know the thing that no one talks about – the determination and drive to do everything yourself. Asking for help, for me, was a sign of weakness, needing other people was something foreign to me. So doing this, reaching out to others in my time of need, wasn’t something I wanted to do. But I had to.

The response I got back from the people who knew me was overwhelming. People I didn’t know commenting, sending thoughts and well wishes. People I hadn’t talked to in years reaching out to see if I was ok. The support was overwhelming, and suddenly my little post about what happened to me became bigger than I thought it would, reposted by people I knew, copied by people I didn’t who needed to say the same thing I did but didn’t know how.

It took a phone call with a mentor who had been let go in February to help me understand what to do with all the attention I was garnering. She mentioned to me that there would be two types of people that would come from this attention. I found that both were helpful, in different ways.

Person A – I called these people TAPs (thoughts and prayers). These were the people liking my post, which had now reached over 6,000 emoticons in a matter of days. They were giving my post visibility to people I hadn’t seen before by adding a heart or a hug. These aren’t the people to go to asking for leads, I found quickly, as I received DMs from a few telling me they felt bad, or they liked working with me. The conversation about how they could help me would quickly become a generic “I’ll see what I can find” only for them to go silent. But, gaining visibility into their networks gave me more of Person B, and I have a mental note to reach back out to a few of these if I’m still unemployed in a month. They may not be helpful now, but they may be helpful later.

Person B – These are your HCIH (how can I help). These ones I found quickly, within hours of announcing my notice. These were the ones who, when I told them what happened, asked if they could share my post to their network, with a vamp about working with me. These people said they had contacts they could connect me with, who knew hiring managers, who had job postings for open availability. These are the people in your circle whose relationship is critical to maintain because these are the ones who have connections, who are willing to share, whose help I already knew was going to be the difference between finding a job in a month or finding one in 6 months.

I had been told when I first started at my old company that relationship building was everything. I thought it was because I worked in a role that required me to talk to people, I didn’t realize it was because those people that you meet at your current job, or on the street, may be the people you reach out to for your next opportunity. I had told myself I was good with meeting people, that I made an excellent first impression. The thing that I had trouble with, I was now being tested on – maintaining relationships. And I was doing the thing I hated the most, reaching out in a time of need to people I hadn’t spoken to in months.

So the TAPs made sense, people who liked me but didn’t want to help me. But the HCIHs, these were the ones who made me realize who I wanted to be moving forward. That I wanted to keep these relationships, to hold on to these people who would help me even though they hadn’t heard from me in a while. Even though I was coming to them in a time of need. It was something my mentor had said that resonated with me even now - “it’s good karma.”

A - Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) 

He’s never affectionate publicly. Behind closed doors, though- well maybe he’s not your stereotypical lovey-dovey type, but hey-ho, he shows it in his own little way. A few hugs, but mostly through making you things. Music boxes, little figures and robots that wind up, you name it, he’ll try and make it. 

B - Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? Where does the friendship start?)

He’s not a friendly man, typically. He’s cold, and driven only by his motives. It takes a long time for him to warm up to you, but when he eventually does he is always by your side, whenever you should need him. Be it for violence, or for an ear to pour your thoughts into- even though half the time you swear he’s not listening completely. 

C - Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Heisenberg likes warm cuddles above all others. The kind where he can pull you close and hold you there for a while- he likes feeling you against his chest. It’s comforting to him, after years of no affection and a torturous living experience. 

D - Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking, cleaning, ect?)

Karl is not particularly skilled in any domestic skill. He’s very mediocre at cooking, and he can’t clean to save his life- his factory is littered with dust and other probably very harmful particles. He isn’t very good in a domestic environment at all, really. 

E - Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Blunter than a broken pencil I’m afraid. He’s never had to hide something from you in the past, so why should this be any different? He would not want to beat around the bush here, he’d annoy himself with pleasantries and euphemisms. 

F - Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? Do they wanna get married?)

He’s perfectly fine staying as partners, without marriage looming over the pair of you. Quite frankly, he doesn’t think it’s worth it.  “A piece of damn paper to show someone your fucking devotion? Bullshit.” 

G - Gentle (How gentle are they both physically and emotionally?)

Unless you’re shaking like a leaf or have specifically asked him to be gentle with or around you, he’s not going to be. He’ll treat you much how he treats most others- with a little bit of affection for zest and flavour every now and then. 

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it, and what are they like?)

While he likes cuddles, he isn’t a huge fan of hugs. He thinks they’re too short to show any real affection, and often get in the way of whatever task the recipient is trying to perform.  

I - I Love You (How fast do they say the “love” word?)

S l o w l y. This man has gone through some stuff, and doesn’t want to get attached to people despite falling for you. Give him a chance. 

J - Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What are they like when jealous?)

Okay so he may be “non-committal” in a loose sense of the term, but this man is one jealous motherfucker. And he gets angry. I’m talking  punching the wall, lashing out and breaking shit kind of angry. It’s mostly because of a nagging fear that not only will he lose you to someone you think is better or less monstrous than he is, but also in part due to a feeling that because of what he was forced to become, he isn’t good enough to keep you for himself. 

K - Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

He kisses you on your hands or neck mostly. Those are his favourite places to kiss you. He occasionally kisses you on the inside of your wrist. If you have any scars as well, he’ll kiss them. 

L - Little Ones (How are they around kids?)

It depends. Sometimes he’s the perfect uncle figure, others he’s a whirlwind of rage. If you’re taking him to see some children for a prolonged amount of time, please check how he’s acting and feeling on the day so there isn’t some sort of horrific accident. 

M - Morning (What are mornings like with them?)

There’s nothing special about them, he’s usually up long before you are. He doesn’t leave anything like a hot beverage behind, unless it’s a special occasion that he’s remembered- like a birthday or anniversary. 

N - Nights (How are nights spent with them?)

He often tells you to go to bed before him, as he’s usually working on something, and would rather not have to worry about you being down in his factory and workshop. 

O - Open (When do they open up about themselves?)

When he’s extremely angry. He gets riled up, then will start to spill facts and secrets while hardly even realising it. 

P - Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He has a very short fuse and a violent temper, to say the least. There’s a reason the man swears so much. Though he will often apologise if he’s scared you after an outburst. 

Q - Quizzes (How much do they remember about you?)

He remembers the basic things at the very least- Your name, your habits on eating and drinking, what you do to amuse yourself. He’s quite observant, actually. 

R - Remember (Favorite memory with you?)

He made you a small music box once. The past part of his day, or his entire week, was seeing your smile as you opened it and listened to it for the first time. It was the widest he’d ever seen you smile, and he loved the feeling it gave him. 

S - Security (How protective are they?)

Very. One particular other Lord- “Lady Super-Sized Bitch,” as Heisenberg has dubbed her- is very interested in your presence, and Heisenberg has made it very much his business to keep you practically under lock and key to keep you safe. And when Ethan Winters comes around? Ooh, boy. You ain’t leaving his sight. 

T - Try (How much effort do they put in?)

He does try- through making trinkets and gadgets to both help you and show his affection. Sometimes it may not always seem that way though, with his outbursts and his tantrums. 

U - Ugly (What are their bad habits?)

He smokes. You tried to get him to quit once, then stopped when you realised it made him more irritable. 

V - Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s not that concerned. If he’s still kicking... Well that’s all that matters to him. 

W - Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He’d feel that something’s wrong, something’s not right- a cog missing from a machine, in a sense. And he hates that feeling. 

X - Xtra (Random HC)

This man would die for some ice-cream. You bring him a tub of the stuff- BAM, instant good mood for the next like two days. 

Y - Yuck (Things they don’t like either in general or a partner?)

This man is not fussy, in the slightest. 

Z - Zzz (Sleep habits)

He basically doesn’t, he gets so little it’s a wonder he can actually function normally.
