sometimes things are just meant to be dark comedy and don’t have to be that deep but that’s just imo
#my thoughts on the whole dustin thing I see popping up on my dashboard#I understand it's sort of frustrating ig to see smth like that be handled so lightly but it doesn't really deter me#from thinking the duffers are good writers cause of all the good writing that they have done for everything else in the show#idk I think it's specifically smth not to look too much into#s3 was sort of the stepchild of stranger things and it's not out of the realm of possibility that it was genuinely just meant to be#dark humor and didn't think too much abt it but all writers do things like this its not just the duffers#there's tons of shows/movies that retcon or dismiss things that happened but they're still amazing pieces of work overall idk#yeah
