I genuinely hate hate hate it when people js completely oversexualize EVERYTHING. it feels like in today's media, you cant enjoy media without some freak js completely sexualizing the entire thing- THID DOES NOT mean when someone rights a little fan fiction or makes a little bit of odd art- I'm guilty of it myself, but what really grinds my gears is when someone js completely ONLY thinks of a character as a sex object for them and completely takes the personality out of the character, no, Stacy, Rorke isn't some weird fucking sex maniac who kidnapped logan for pleasure and wants to raw dog your oc 24/7 he's doing his job and has no dick and no balls and is probably asexual. I swear to god it's wild how some ppl on tiktok are completely fine with sending death threats/sh threats to darkshippers but shipping a problematic ship between FICTIONAL CHARACTERS is where they cross the line. Like, what??

Look, I can understand not wanting children (like 13 and younger) involved in darkshipping. I also agree considering unlike those who are older, children cannot define the line between fiction and reality in a way that wouldn't influence their morals, which could lead to them thinking those actions are okay irl

But simply harassing others bc it's a problematic ship? Like why? You can voice your complaints about certain tropes but no need to do it on someone's work/post.

without those very precious people whose support I can always count on I wouldn’t post at all anymore, they mean the world to me and I keep telling them that and express my gratitude towards them. I keep reading nice tags and asks over and over because they genuinely give me so much motivation and happiness.

why would you send such a message hours after I deleted my complaints where I even reflected that my negative feelings about it are a problem that goes way beyond tumblr and that I don’t know how to let go of them? and your first impulse was to make me feel even worse about it? that’s incredibly insensitive and I don’t think I even want people like that engaging with my work so by all means, don’t.

Changes to this blog

Just a quicks heads up, I didn't think I'd ever do this but I've come to the decision that I no longer wish to continue posting scans online as I have done in the past.

I have been sharing edited scans from my personal media collection online for free for over two decades now, with Tumblr being my home base since 2012-ish.

I didn't think anything could make me give up, but in recent months the combination of my ill health and the sheer amount of reposting-for-revenue people have perpetuated on other sites via "otaku art" accounts and the like has made something I used to love doing for free feel quite miserable, honestly.

I will continue posting about the things I like here, making gifs and answering questions if asked. I might even get around to working on some of my other projects, but for the moment I'm going to stop posting edited scans.

Thank you for supporting what I've been doing here. I just don't have it in my anymore for the scans to continue, sorry.
