yes the PJO show still has some significant changes compared to the book (the whole Medusa thing) but the understanding of the characters is spot fucking on. Like the percabeth dynamic? I’m obsessed. The mf consensus song? Hilarious. Every little thing they change they give a new thing that feels so real and in character that I just appreciate we get to see it. It’s like we get to see things that we haven’t before and they’re things that are absolutely plausible and in character for the trio.

Absolutely love the idea that it was April who got the boys super into snow days.

Like, pre-April, they probably would view the days as miserable, since as turtles they’re likely more susceptible to the cold and back then they probably had much less to keep warm with.

The cold altogether was just never good to them - and then April comes around and teaches them how to make a snowman. And when it’s done, she pelts them with snowballs. And suddenly, the cold is now fun, and they might still be shivering, but now they’re smiling too.

It's a no brainer that they would repress and block off those feelings to the point of being in denial until they hurt other people and annoy us with their sudden explosions of repressed feelings. That is what we expect out of a slow burn. It's easy to get distracted by the TONES of filler superficial comedy, but the real heart of the show is the preciousness of sincere frienship and partnership in romance. It's a kids show, but when you’re able to take a step back and separate what’s meant as a joke and what’s meant to be remembered, you realise how much this story stands out from other kids shows, and could have translated so well as a regular tv-show." - @yllilzneb185
