I'm so excited and proud of this boy. He's just getting better & better. Today he ate some mustard greens for the first time, didn't even skip eating a day or two to protest first. Ate a full third of the greens I put down. So he got roaches as a reward & was SO quick to zoom over when I showed him the bowl. Chomped them all down in no time!

And as you can see, he's shedding!!! Already gotten a bit off the neck. The rest of his body is getting dusty looking, so will be joining the party soon.

I'm just so happy about him today.

i think my lizard is the most magical creature in the world. i was gone for the weekend and when I came home he was hiding in his usual pouting spot being angry colors. I handed him his food bowl and then sat and stared at him for 5 seconds before he ran out and stared at me. I’ve picked him up and put him on my lap and he scrambled around my bed a bit before deciding to sit on my shoulder where he has just been staring at me with happy colors for several minutes

a big distinction between ace and sabo to me is that ace eventually got the support he needed to grow from a bitter kid constantly angry at the world to a happy adult who both had people willing to sacrifice themselves for him and people he'd sacrifice himself for. whereas i personally believe sabo jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire in terms of traumatic family situations which caused him to go from a kind and smart morally upright little kid to a completely unpredictable adult with an inscrutable moral code. *grips him tightly in my fist* man what the fuck happened to you
