Thinking about Bruce Wayne being Harvey's unnoficial sugar daddy. Like, I imagine they'd be the type of ppl not to joke about the idea bc they know they fit the bill.
Bruce gifts shit to Harvey all the time. It just makes sense to gift him suits that accentuate his figure, gives him ties that compliment his eyes, shoes that just look good on him-- oh don't worry Harv, it's nothing. You can sell them, I just think that you should look nice and not have it hurt your paycheck. DW I can obviously afford it.
It gets to the point the ppl of gotham especulate if Harvey is all that clean... after all, how is it he shows up to galas wearing expensive watches, colognes and such? Is he accepting bribes now? (Harvey wears the gifted items from time to time... it feels good to look good and have backup clothes in case of emergency. And what Harvey doesn't need, which is a lot, he gives away.)
Harvey doesn't get a chance to tell the truth. It's Bruce who laughs on TV and tells everyone how modest and frugal Harvey really is, a sweetheart, and Bruce is helping another citizen of Gotham, it's charity, Harvey is as clean as a whistle, his wife Gilda is really sweet and she agrees with him blah blah blah.
Harvey knows Bruce's words won't all be taken at face value, and it puts the mystery to rest for the public but now Harvey doesn't know if he's angry or flattered about the whole thing.
This is me saying they develop a psychosexual thing where Bruce provides because he loves seeing Harvey in Bruce's stuff. A reminder Bruce is there for Harvey while Harvey likes being supported and... palpably loved in such a way Bruce makes it abundantly clear to everyone that the big bad boy of gotham is tightly wrapped around Harvey Dent, the golden boy's finger.
It's basically the both-are-in-charge dynamic between a cat and a bunny.

Meanwhile Gilda watches in a amusement, wondering when they'll realize what's going on and if she should be the one telling them.
