Ayo my hearing aid finally crapped out after 7 years (they’re supposed to be replaced every 2-5 years) and I don’t have a pcp which means I can’t get a referral back to my audiologist (it’s with a different hospital than what my insurance pays for and it’s a whole thing) and my style of hearing aid costs $100 less than the maximum amount the government gives to me every single month.

And now that I’m an adult they’re going to want me to choose the most boring and bland colors for my hearing aid because society makes it so shameful to have hearing loss/be HoH/d/Deaf so god forbid anyone SEES you have them/s

I guess I’ve heard enough???
