Finding your blog is a blessing because I have ALWAYS been a Scar fan; and while I do generally prefer brotherhood's overall storyline, every time they bring up Ishvalans I have to prevent myself from committing violence because they bungled the imperial/genocide plotline so bad😭😭😭

And look not to be on the crazy agenda but it does deeply bother me that the only named Ishavalan we have in the series is Major Miles, whose father is likely Amestrian and that makes his surname also Amestrian.

And fine okay my babygirl Scar abandoned his name out of religious belief but damn...brotherhood gave me NOTHING about Ishvalans (except solidifying their ethnic features- after a lifetime of white silver-blond people in fantasy, it's sooo good to see brown people, who actually deserve white hair because they still have brows fhsjfj)

And look I like Miles. I genuinely do like him and enjoy the Briggs arc in mangahood, but he could have been such an interesting insight into the nuances of race politics because we know his Ishvalan grandfather and Ishvalan relatives were slaughtered during the war (and still he stays in the military😐); but what about his half-Ishvalan mother?

Was she spared the racial persecution because of her diluted blood in the same way Miles must have avoided going with the way of other Ishvalan soldiers? Or are you telling me Miles really hears that his Ishvalan family members, including his mother, were shot dead for being Ishvalans and decided that he's #different and he could totally liberal utopia his way into a Better Amestris😭

And I have the toughest life in the world because I am unfortunately a Miles/Scar shipper if only because I experience catharsis at the thought of Miles' third eye finally opening and he's no longer part of the Amestrian sheeple chsjdhsj

Again I do broadly speaking prefer mangahood (although I'll admit that opinion is changing with age), mangahood fans have to stop talking shit about 03 because that adaptation was phenomenal in its handling of the genocide that fmab conveniently forgets🙄

Chill mangahood fans who can recognize the pro-imperialism/militarism and racist politics in their fave media are always welcome here. I'm glad this blog feels like a blessing, even with how much I vent about mangahood and general fan wank. (o^-')b✨

I'll join you in committing violence on behalf of the Ishvalans. Hell, I'll encourage it even! I can never endure Broho again because of how they're treated, ignored, and written.

[Rant incoming]

Yeah, Arakawa, I have no doubt the various Ishvalan refugee settlements are living happily in spite of being displaced from their homes and carrying the horrors of a genocide fresh in their minds. Nothing bad happens to refugee camps and settlements at the hands of the dominant nation they've been forced to hide within. Scar's just unreasonably angry and violent, unlike all other Ishvalans who are nice and placid. (Being anti-racist is when you insist most people in an ethnic group would never raise a finger against fascists, right?)

Except also Scar states that the Ishvalans aiding the coup are "[H]ere to bring change... without resorting to terrorism." This both reads as Scar flagellating himself before his Amestrian 'allies', while simultaneously implying that all Ishvalan actions outside of quietly rotting in Amestris' margins was all terrorism (or more accurately, a 'negative' method of addressing their own oppression and occupation).

(This is why I argue that mangahood Scar's characterization once he's apprehended in Briggs is completely off. Arakawa derails the character she setup to instead force feed us a "redemption" arc that reforms the military. No one who watched their lives and loved ones get mercilessly slaughtered before their eyes would ever think that their murderers 'had some valid points' about how the relations between oppressor and oppressed ought to be run. This isn't what a character like Scar would say or believe, it's Arakawa's politic, boldly out in the open.)

Ahem.

For as much as I, rightfully, drag mangahood through the mud for how an ethnically oppressed group is (under)written, I do have to say that 03 could have also been better in many areas too! I wish there were more named Ishbalans, period. Especially named Ishbalan women with a major presence in the story (Lust is the only one we get, and as fantastic as her arc is, her Dante-gifted sin name is not her Ishbalan name). But I really appreciate that Ishbalans in 03 have diverse features AND opinions, unlike the Ishvalans in Broho. Both all have the unifying feature of red eyes, but for some reason Brotherhood makes it so that every single Ishvalan has the same hair colour and skin tone. They try to reflect this during the genocide flashbacks with the Amestrians being all blond and blue-eyed, but as we can see with both Amestrian civilians and the soldiers/war criminals, that's not true at all.

I'm on the same page regarding Scar (any version) relinquishing his previous name as working within motivations that align well with his character. On the one hand I like to think mangahood Scar does eventually take on a new name rather than giving others free real estate over how he's referred to. On the other, the sense of mystery is fun- until the recollection of the myriad ways he's dehumanized and mistreated throughout Broho come crashing in and I end up seeing his indifference towards deciding a name for himself as just another way to give ownership over himself to Amestris.

(Decent arguments can be made that this is his way to keep his future open, and that this could even be Scar intending to give himself space to create himself anew; only then would a new name become necessary. At least these are my more good faith theories on the matter.)

And hey, for all my ire about mangahood, Miles, and even Miles/Scar, I don't begrudge people liking any of the above. I'm not gonna shit on anyone for liking what I don't, even when I routinely express my dislike.

Miles is a maddening character for me precisely because of the incongruence of his backstory, familial line, his opinions on the military, his participation in their oppression, and how he sees Scar's actions in comparison to his own. I've said it before, but Miles feels less like a character to me and more like Arakawa's mouthpiece (one of many, Ed being the main one). There's no conflict in him regarding his position in the very military that destroyed his own family, no moment where he actually has to reassess everything he's done and believed, and make a decision on whether he wants to continue being Amestris' preaching lapdog or not. This is why I can't simply view him as a complex character with warped politics who makes atrocious decisions, but instead a token oppressed strawman for Arakawa to defend her fictitious militia.

Hard not to wonder though: how would Miles' arc go if he was written by someone who wasn't disturbed by radical actions against the state? There was potential for something far less insulting and racist, but that's not what we got. I can see why Miles fans like yourself would be conflicted with how he's used in mangahood, and I can also understand what potential he held that you folks see in him.

"I experience catharsis at the thought of Miles' third eye finally opening," honestly? Based. If Miles/Scar shippers have Miles finally enter his anti-military era, and both he and Scar shed their liberalism henceforth, then I'm here for it. May they both tear apart the ongoing Amestrian regime, brick-by-brick!

Anyway, bless you for this ask! I have no beef with mangahood enjoyers who aren't talking out their ass (in general and at us 03 fans). I may not post much about mangahood outside of my routine complaints, but we at least have a love of Scar to unite us. 🤝

Just seen that bolo tie image and oh wow I'm honestly impressed by the shippers train of thought.

In my years in this fandom I've seen Levihan shippers , creating headcanons and analysis out of the canon source, and placing the "maybe canon proof" from the original source. ( Yet Levihan in a way is treated like a rare pair)

But for this ship ER and L, anything is canon proof for them and have to applaud their confidence. Outside of the promise scene and them proving the ackerbond is real, the arguments I've seen in them trying to prove it's canon, is from marketing arts or things the most ludicrous I've seen was "E and L shared a room because they put 2 wax statues of them in the same room." I truly seen someone say that Er*ri is their favourite ship but they prefer, hc and fanfics because they're not a fan of their in manga dynamic.

Post note: That anon who told you to not come back to the fandom if Levihan become canon should realise people can have different opinions. And take a break from the internet, damm

I am of the people who really does not care whether i am a part of a community. My blog is literally just me screaming my thoughts into the void. I contradicted myself 100s of times and probably forgot all about it.

People choose to read it. Some like it (i appreciate it) some don't (that's ok too). I never did anything for attention. Hell, my posts have like 10 likes or 0 likes....and i don't even care.

Mostly i creates this blog to talk to myself and share my thoughts that i can't share to anyone irl. That's it. 🤷‍♀️

If LH becomes canon i will, of course, accept it and consider their bond romantic just like if Eroori or Rivetra becomes canon. Doesn't mean i'll join those fandoms though. EM is a canon romantic ship. Guess what, i don't even like it, i much prefer Eremin, but if anyone will say EM is not canon, i will argue it, because it Is canon. And some other ships aren't. Which is totally ok.

The reason's why Melissa, Carol and Caryl fans are upset.

Seems the only ones that are supporting Melissa are fans. Well the fans that are not so far up Norman's ass are supporting her. So many things have happened to disrespect Melissa over the years.

Anti's calling her old, granny, drug addict and Daryl's mom. Treating her like she is just a waste of space on the show. Thinking B level characters are better than her. Lol give me a break.

Castmate's calling her Daryl's odd mom while getting a pass from the anti's off the fandom. Not one article writer or review defended or supported Mel on this. Hell one writer did an article on Lynn C having a little bit of grey hair saying how much of a breakthrough it was. Lol now that Lynn is off the show she already dyed her hair. Where was the article about Mel being a trailblazer for keeping her grey hair? I'll wait.

Then you have two actresses on the show that were apart of two Daryl ships. That not one time defended Mel or even told their fans to chill out about their so called friend. One keep supporting her icky ship even after she knew her character was dead. Just adding more fuel for her fans to be nasty idiots. Then the other actress said this " Well shipping! Oh, I will say that the Caryl-ers and Donnie shippers will continue to waging that war. I think they'll keep it going. And I love, I love seeing that I happen." Like are you kidding me her fans have been so hateful to Carol and Mel and she is going to say this. Very disappointed in her and will never be a supporter of hers.

Then we get to Norman. He has seen and heard the things said about Melissa and Carol. Not ONE DAMN TIME DID HE SUPPORT OR DEFEND HER. He just added more to the hate with saying mom and sister shit. When that was only how he got into the scene and not how Daryl felt about Carol. He is terrible for making her go through all of this when he knows how much it hurts her. Any other leading man would defend their scene partner and leading lady. Not him he is too childish and doesn't want to piss the fans off. Oh wait he doesn't want to piss the haters of Mel and Carol off. When they actually hate and don't support him. All while piss off and pushing the fans that have supported him for years away.

Then we get to the Spin Off. Rumors started going around about the SO being moved because Norman wanted to be close to his family. The news comes out that "McBride dropped out of the spinoff because relocating to Europe to shoot the show proved “logistically untenable” for her, AMC said in a statement. " Just so happens Norman's women comes out a week before saying he would be in France with her all summer. Years ago DK said if she ever had kids she would raise them in France. This was said many many times by her. She said this in April 2022 ' I really enjoyed living in Paris. I hope we live there again" Just so happens the SO was moved to France after her saying all of this. Oh wait there's more DK had a movie that was to be filmed in France when Covid hit. It was pushed back to last summer than they had to postpone it again. Finally in the first f two months of 2022 it is finally going to be filmed in France the summer of 2022. Around the same time the rumors of moving the spin off came about. So it isn't hard to put two and two together that Norman had a lot to do with the SO moving and Mel being let go. Oh and Norman and Jeffery saying Mel needed a break just makes them look like ageist jerks. Acting like Mel is two weak to hang with the boys. And they are the only two that have said this. Mel not making a statement through her people tells me she was not the one that wanted out of this SO.

Hope this helps with why some of us are mad and disappointed at Norman and also AMC

I know people will call me a shipper crybaby or whatever but at some point we're going to have to address the way this fandom as a whole reacts to jikook and jikookers

this has gotten long so...read more under the cut~

outside of jikook tumblr and twitter people always call us specifically problematic or delusional when it's not our ship that's founded on conspiracy theories and hating on one of the other members

actually, jikook is the only ship where the majority of compilations on youtube don't have exaggerated zooms and slow-mos in them and are not heavily edited but simply a compilation of actual moments, in context

yet for some reason people always act like we're the worst shippers in this fandom

I'm not denying that there are rotten apples among jikookers because they're literally everywhere but as a whole, we're by far not the worst lol

yet I see call-out posts from non-shippers in the jikook tag ALL THE TIME and they keep acting like we're always terrible and like the jikook tag is so toxic and when I scroll down the tag I see nothing like the things they talk about if I ask them about it they're always like "oh well I've seen stuff like that before though" but....where's the proof??

but aside from jikookers, jikook is one of the only ships where general fan accounts don't really post about moments

duos like vmin, yoonmin, 2seok, namseok, namkook etcetc are generally accepted as having cute moments, and accounts that don't ship them will still tweet about moments in Bangtan Bombs etc

but when it's jikook everyone except jikookers are hushhush about it, although their moments are often more obvious

it's not even about shipping them but just accepting that they have a sweet relationship?? But no, they totally skirt around everything concerning these two together

some accounts said that it's because they don't want the shippers to "flood their account" but...they post about other ships as well so.. once again I'm asking: what's so terrible about jikookers?

if you post about vmin you can be sure that vmin-ers will flood your tweet as well but people don't mind there because vmin is generally accepted as a cute friendship (I'm only singling out vmin because it's been one of the most talked-about ships in the last time, I don't have anything against vmin in any way)

whenever someone does post about jikook I never see any aggressive or over-the-top jikookers reacting to it and jikook tumblr is generally really chill and mature about everything; most jikookers see themselves as supporters and still keep the possibility of them not being an actual couple in the back of their head, and we also regularly call each other out when someone gets too far into theories etc

so again: why is jikook so terrible??

honestly, the only solution I can come to is that people see something else in jikook than they do in other ships but don't want to admit it or accept it. Because why else is jikook handled so differently from the other ships??

idk, rant finished. but this has been bugging me for a long time

Gift for @ava-ships to celebrate making her and Lamar official! So glad to have another meta runner self shipper around ^^

15 minutes. It had been 15 minutes since the new episode of Nova Explorers premiered, and Lamar was nowhere to be seen. He never missed one of these premiers, certainly never asked Morgan to fill him in on anything he missed. Sure, she knew they could rewatch it on LuuTube, but watching the premiers together was a special time between them, even way back when he introduced her to the series.

Something was up, and Morgan was determined to figure out what it was.

Muting the television, xe hopped up from the couch and entered the hallway behind the common area. Sofia had mentioned something about fixing up a project she and her friend were working on, so xe was careful to stay quiet. Eventually xe approached Lamar’s door, which was slightly ajar. As much as Morgan would’ve liked to admire the new stickers he had adorned upon it, xe went to give a blunt knock, ready to tell him off for missing the premier.

Or, she would have, until she heard him talking to someone.

As much as xe didn’t want to snoop, xe couldn’t help but listen in. From the crack of the door, Lamar was laying on his bed, comfortably propped between two body pillows. The phone app of his Meta Runner arm was pulled up, and while xe couldn’t discern exactly who it was, the profile wasn’t similar to any of his buddies’ that xe was familiar with. Xe definitely had never seen him so relaxed, so… at peace. Instead of the cocky grin or concentrated glare he normally had when talking or gaming with his usual friends, his expression was calm, and a gentle smile sat on his face. Who could garner such a look from-

“Look, my little buddy’s waiting for me, I better get goin’. But I’m glad you’re doin’ better baby, I’ll talk to you later, okay?”

Morgan processed that for a moment. She didn’t want to jump to any conclusions, but if her conclusion was correct, then everything suddenly made so much more sense.

Typically xe would’ve retained the courtesy to knock, but this revelation overcame xier manners.

“Soooo.. Who are you talking to?” She asked, slowly opening the door.

“O-Oh! There ya are, heheh,” he had a tone as if he were trying to play it off, when he had a realization with a start. “Er, how much of that did you hear?”

“Don’t worry! I wasn’t like, spying on your conversation or anything, but I am curious; unless that was a bot, I don’t think I’ve ever heard Mr. Lamar Willams call anyone ‘baby’.”

“Well…” He looked around the room, gathering his courage. “I mean, it's not a big deal or anything, but, I kinda… Sorta been seein’ someone.”

“Seeing someone.” Morgan spoke.” Like. Legit seeing someone.”

“Yep. Again, I’ve been keepin’ it on the down low, but-”

“You have a girlfriend.” A wide smile began to spread on xier face, taking just a moment to fully comprehend what he said.

“Guess you could say that.”

…

“SOFIA!” Morgan shouted over her shoulder, starling Lamar. “LAMAR’S GOT A GIRLFRIIIEND!”

Xe darted out of the room, inches away from banging xier shoulder on the door in xier haste. Lamar remained sitting, remembering why he didn’t want to tell xem just yet. He sighed as he accepted the fact the cat was out of the bag as he heard Sofia’s door opening, accompanied with their high pitched excitement blaring from down the hallway. Barely a moment went by for him to register before they began thundering back towards his room. Oh boy.

In a flash, his door burst open once again, both his younger friend’s hardly able to contain their excitement.

“How’d you meet? What’s she like? Where does she live?” Questions came flurrying from them both.

“You guys, you guys, chill!”

“Sorry, it's just this is really exciting!” Sofia exclaimed.

“Listen, if you guys promise to calm down, I’ll tell you about her, deal?”

“Okay! Calming down now.” Morgan said, relegating her excitement to her flapping hands.

“Alright.” He took a breath, sitting up in his bed. “So, her name is Arielle, but I call her Ella. She’s a Meta Runner like I am, but doesn’t work for any specific company.”

“What’s she like?”

The tender smile Morgan saw earlier returned as Lamar explained. “She’s… One of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. She cares so much about her friends, and she’s so selfless. But once she gets behind a controller, goddamn she’s a force to be reckoned with.”

“She sounds awesome! I’d love to meet her, does she live around here?” Morgan asked.

“‘S a matter of fact, she lives on the other side of town.”

“Woo! Well let her know she can come down anytime, she seems really-”

“Who can come anytime?” A voice asked from the doorway.

The three looked over to see Belle sporting a confused look. Morgan immediately bounded over to her.

“Belle! Lamar has a girlfriend!!” Xe gripped her arm and bounced in glee.

“Woah woah, chill- He has a what.” Belle looked over at him in disbelief.

“Yeah! Her name is Arielle and she’s a Meta Runner too and she’s really cool!”

“Is that what I heard you yelling about when I got back?”

“Yep!”

Belle processed this for a moment, before breaking out into laughter.

“Hey! What’s so funny?” Lamar demanded.

“It’s just, you, the ‘body pillow king’ got an actual girl?”

“C’mon babe, be happy for him! This is great news!” Morgan retorted.

“Alright, alright,” Belle said, before redirecting to Lamar. “So, does this Arielle know about your body pillow thing?”

“As a matter of fact she does, and she’s cool with it.” Lamar stated proudly. “Wouldn’t let somethin’ like that get in the way of our relationship.”

Belle rolled her eyes. “Whatever you say.”

“Don’t mind her, we’re happy for you dude.” Sofia said.

“Yeah, I can’t wait to tell Masa when he gets back, he’s gonna flip!” Morgan said.

“I don’t think Masa’s ever flipped out about anything.” Belle commented

“Well, there’s a first for everything.” Morgan giggled, before a sense of seriousness overcame her. “I mean, as long as you’re okay with that, heh.”

“Not much point in keepin’ it a secret at this point, but maybe let me tell him myself, yeah?” Lamar said.

“Deal.”

After a moment, a realization came upon Morgan. “Oh, uh, Lamar? You kinda missed the premier of the new Nova Explorers episode.”

Lamar’s face fell. “Dammit! I completely lost track of time!”

He leapt up from his bed. “C’mon little bud, our gals are waiting for us!”

“You have fun with that.” Belle said dismissively.

Lamar was tempted to retort, but for now the premier was all he had on his mind.

That, and his girl, whom he had a feeling would become well inclined to MD-5 in the near future.

I know my take is very biased on this and i would most likely get hate on this but i try so hard to keep a level of respect to other ships especially er*mika and their shippers but seeing the way most of them treat rivamika shippers is just ughh. I know we pride ourselves as a nice peaceful community and thats the reason why i dont like arguing and spewing hate back and forth to others just so they wont think that rm is toxic( ik rm is not perfect and there are are toxic people in every fandom but the rm tumblr community is mostly just chill ) and i dont wanna give them another reason to dislike us but when our ship and fandom are repeatedly getting insulted and seeing our favorite authors and artist get harassed so much and even some sending them death threats, its very hard to just sit there with your mouth shut. So when rm shippers finally take a stand and others seeing it as toxic behavior really puts a bad taste in my mouth. They can send as much hate as they want towards us but when we do something about it, its bad?

I know that you can't justify hate with hate but sometimes it feels unfair.

I feel the same. I always try to be kind with haters because I don’t want them to call our fandom toxic; shippers in the AOT fandom don’t really like us, so I want us to have, at least, a good reputation. I think that when someone insults you and sends you death threats then you should answer, but without insulting that person. Don’t fight violence with violence, let’s not humiliate ourselves becoming like them.

here’s a part two even tho no one asked requested: uh, no warnings: FLUFF FLUFF AND MORE FLUFF authors: Abby and Indigo a/n: imagine takes place in Pounce Cat Cafe in South Carolina summary: Indigo feels like the third wheel and Harry and Abby help out.

Indigo giggled as she scrolled through her Instagram, now filled with various photos of Harry and Abby taken by the paparazzi. Everyone was begging to know who the mysterious girl was holding his hand, but every time she was mentioned Harry refused to fess up. Larry Stylinson shippers began spreading rumors that it was Louis in a wig, but Harry’s lips stayed sealed.

The suspense and constant waiting drove Indigo mad. Harry and Abby weren’t officially together, but sometimes there was a spark and she’d be forced to keep herself from screaming “JUST KISS ALREADY!!” at the top of her lungs. Ah yes. The struggles of being a fangirl. There was always an excuse. “I didn’t brush my teeth this morning” and “There are people watching” being the most common. Indigo was sure she had missed something, because every time he tried anything more than a hug, he’d pull himself back like he’d remembered something.

She tried not to complain. Indigo knew that the more intimate they got, the more she’d feel out of place. A third wheel. She chided herself for thinking selfishly, then went back to her book.

Little did she know, Abby and Harry were having problems of their own.

“When was the last time you spoke to Niall?” Abby asked, scrolling through Twitter.

Harry glanced up and raised an eyebrow. “The One Direction reunion last year. Why do ya ask?”

“No reason,” Abby replied, still looking at her phone.

“C’mon, ya can talk to me about anything ya know.” He scooted up next to her and tried laying his head on her shoulder. Abby rejected his request, shoving her phone into her back pocket and moving to another couch. “Oi! What happened to “Treat People With Kindness” and all that?”

“Harry, this is important!” Abby exclaimed, turning on her heel to face him. “Indigo feels left out, I know she does, and I don’t like that look on her. If you really must know, I asked about Niall because he was always her favorite.”

Harry frowned. “Who was yours?”

Abby ponders for a moment. “Liam.” His eyes widened and she laughed. “I’m joking, it was you.” He let out a sigh of relief.

“Sooo… you’re trying to set the two up?”

“Like, duh,” I say. “So here’s the plan…”

“Why did I agree to tag along with y’all?”

“You didn’t,” Abby reminded her. “We dragged you all the way here, the heels of your shoes are proof of that.” Indigo smiled innocently. Abby plopped unceremoniously onto the couch and smirked. “We have someone for you to meet!” she says excitedly. Indigo rolls her eyes and pinches the bridge of her nose.

“And who is it, pray tell?” she asked.

“You’ll know soon enough,” Abby said, patting her head. Indigo hissed and pulled away.

“Should I be worried?”

“Anything having to do with Abby means ya should worry,” Harry said teasingly. Abby stuck her tongue out playfully. Harry pulled out his phone. “They should be here any minute,” he said, and Abby squealed.

“Wow I don’t even get to know the gender. Thanks guys,” Indigo said, rolling her eyes. She pulled out her phone, and Abby peeked over to see what she was doing.

“You’re so uninteresting,” Abby complained as all Indigo was doing was adding an event to her calendar. Indigo laughed and turned her phone off.

“How much longer is it gonna be? I have a paper to write,” Indigo asked, drumming her fingers on the side table.

“Just another few minutes,” Harry said, and Indigo glared at the floor. A couple kittens jumped up next to her, and she scratched them absentmindedly. Abby picked up one of the throwing toys and tossed it across the room. One of the kittens chased after it just as the door opened.

“Do you have a reservation or are you a walk-in?” the lady at the counter said, and Harry jumped up.

“He’s with us,” he said, and the lady nodded and opened the little gate-thingy. Indigo glanced over from the kitten she was petting, and her face paled.

“What the-?” her British accent jumped out for a moment and she touched her throat. “Sorry, er- hi?” she said, even though it was more like a question. Abby laughed.

“Meet Niall Horan. Indigo, Niall, Niall, Indigo,” Harry said, gesturing between the two. Indigo gave a little head-dip thing and said hello (again). Niall grinned and also greeted her, then sat down beside her. Abby grabbed Harry’s arm, and Indigo could tell she was holding back a screech. He chuckled and said, “You’re gonna cut off my blood circulation.”

“Sorry for the inconvenience but I’m-” Niall was cut off with a sneeze and finished, “-allergic to cats.” Indigo pursed her lips.

“We can go outside if you want.” Niall nodded and led her out the door, leaving Abby and Harry to fangirl over their new ship.

“Mind if I ask a question?”

“I guess.”

“Abby and Harry told me that I was your favorite, out of One Direction. Is that true?”

Indigo frowned. “No, it was Zayn,” she deadpanned. Niall raised an eyebrow. “I can’t tell if you’re joking or not,” he said, chuckling.

“Look out, there’s a pigeon up ahead.” Niall shrieked, nearly jumping out of his skin. Out of instinct, he grabbed Indigo by the arm and hid behind her. Indigo tried to ignore how warm his hands were.

“Chill, I was joking,” she said, laughing. Niall was still breathing like he’d just finished a run. Indigo turned to look at him, still chuckling. He looked down at her, half-glaring, half-laughing.

“Not funny,” he said, and he looked down into her eyes. Indigo grinned.

“Sorry you’re right, it wasn’t funny.” Niall looked superior for a second before, “it was hilarious!” All the laughter evaporated from her voice as she noticed him staring directly into her eyes. It was at this point she realized that he’d never taken his hand off of her arm. Indigo tilted her head at Niall, and he sucked in a breath.

“Dammit, why is that so cute?” he breathed, and cupped her cheek with his hand. Indigo felt her breath hitch, and Niall grinned down at her. He tilted her chin up and leaned down. Indigo gasped as his lips connected with hers in a song of sparks. She pressed onto her toes to kiss him back, and she felt his hand move from her arm to the small of her back. Indigo threw her arms around his neck, and Niall drew her impossibly closer. They broke apart, and leaned their foreheads together.

“Abby’s probably screaming right now,” Indigo breathed, and Niall laughed.

“Harry too.”

In honor of Pride, I’m sharing my LGBT Disney headcanon identities. Some have maybe one detail in their narratives that I took and ran with, and some are more commonly considered queer or queer-coded (or at least have more signs that I picked up on). Happy Pride!

Mulan: Genderfluid. I know that canonically she had reasons to pretend to be a man and that after she was discovered she dressed more typically feminine, but I have read some truly fantastic Genderfluid!Mulan fics, and as a genderfluid person who has grown up fascinated by Mulan, I like to view her as like me.

Shang: Bisexual. C’mon, did you not see his face when Mulan kicked him over that first time?! Boy was in love with her before she was outed.

Ling/Yao/Chien Po: Poly. Yes, I know they have a whole song about girls and in the sequel they marry a bunch of princesses, but they were super close friends and had really good chemistry, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they all got together.

Sebastian: Gay. That blue crab in the Under the Sea number is his boyfriend. And my name is Bastien and I’m gay, so Sebastian is also gay. I don’t make the rules.

Ursula: Trans. Listen. This is the epitome of queer-coded villains. She was designed after a drag queen. I’m not saying all drag queens are trans, but a lot of historically labeled drag queens have since turned out to actually probably be trans. And there isn’t a point where she’s not presenting as a woman, so she’s likely not just in drag.

Melody/Henry (Prince Charming): trans. OH MY GOD. This is my most bonkers Disney conspiracy theory. I’m sorry in advance for the long story with this one. So a year or two ago I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole about Disney theories and crossover theories. One theory was that there was (albeit conspiracy-esque) evidence to suggest Ariel is Prince Charming AKA Henry’s mom. The main reason I remember is that both are ginger, but I know there were other details. So the video creator was trying to figure out what happened to Melody between Little Mermaid II and Cinderella, but never thought Melody and Henry might be the same person. My theory based on this: Henry IS Melody. After LM2 he realized he was trans. It fits with the crossover theory without needing to explain why Melody was not at her potential-brother’s wedding. I know there’s a lot of conditions for this to work, but I think it makes more sense than the Melody and Charming are siblings but Melody is inexplicably MIA theory.

Lumiere and Cogsworth: Gay. Come on. Obviously. I will also accept that Lumiere is bi/pan and in a relationship with Cogsworth and Babette or w/e her name is. Doesn’t work as well with the live action BatB, but maybe Cogsworth is married and Lumiere is dating the feather duster and they’re also dating each other?

LeFou: Gay. Like even before the live action this much was obvious. Gaston should’ve A.) treated him way better, and B.) opened his goddamn eyes and stopped chasing Belle. (I’m on the fence about Gaston’s possible queerness though.)

Hades: Gay. I recently heard that James Woods, Hades’s VA, is homophobic. So now I’m headcanoning this out of spite in addition to, I’m sorry MF-er, but you played this guy ridiculously queer-coded. He’s gay. Deal, Woods.

Timon/Pumbaa: Do I even have to say it? They raised TWO kids together!!! Gay!!!!

Scar: Gay. That lion was queer-coded to hell and back. I know there’s issues with villains being queer-coded, but if he’s gay, I’m counting him.

Terk: Lesbian. Duhhh. She’s voiced by Rosie O’Donnell, of course she’s gay! Also all of her friends are guys, which I’m not saying makes you gay, but makes her butch-ness pretty damn overt.

Shere Khan: Gay. Sorry, I might ship him a leeetle bit with Scar.

Baloo/Bagheera: These two were Timon and Pumbaa before Timon and Pumbaa. They’re gay. No, I will not take constructive criticism.

Jafar: Gay. Man, there is a huge problem with queer-coding villains in Disney. I know he sexually harasses Jasmine, but there could be a few reasons for this (other than the fact that he’s a jackass and needs to STOP): performative heterosexuality or bi. Or power-hungry AF and not caring what he has to do to get it. I’m leaning toward that one.

Genie: Pan or Ace. I could see him going either way. I think he gets a girlfriend in the tv show, so likely either pan or panromantic asexual.

Elsa: Queer. Obviously.

Side note: I ship Elsa and Cinderella in the Wreck-It Ralph 2!verse. The bedroom eyes they give each other in the loungewear scene?! My gay ass felt that.

Merida: Ace. C’mon. She’s literally an arrow ace! Isn’t this a thing? “I’ll be shooting for my own hand”???? Girl is ace AF.

Buzz/ Woody: Do I have to say gay? Is it not obvious? Get out of here with that Jessie/ Bo Peep shit. I can play in the poly sandbox just like with Lumiere and Cogsworth. And we do not acknowledge TS4 in this house. That movie was a disgrace.

Jessie: Lesbian. I’ll take bi or pan if you want to insist she’s in a relationship with Buzz. She’s a cowgirl though.

7 Dwarves: Are they brothers? Or just roommates/coworkers? If they’re brothers, absolutely disregard because I’m not an incest shipper (okay, with the exception of Thorki). Otherwise, poly.

Donald Duck: genderfluid. Have you not seen that post going around of all the times Donald wears a dress and it’s not as a punchline? Donald is genderqueer in some capacity.

Live action BatB Stanley: genderfluid or bigender. He seems pretty chill about wearing typical men’s clothes, but when Madame de Garderobe gives him a dress he’s fucking thrilled. Stanley is me when I put on a binder. Genderfluid.

Kuzco: Pan and bigender. He’s very queer, both gender- and sexuality-related. Like he dresses as a woman in a whole scene and I don’t remember him putting up much of a fight about doing it? I could be wrong.

love your hot takes! was wondering if you could give your two cents on shipping/rpf in relation to idol culture, how more often than not these pairings are subtly if not overtly used as a marketing tool etc. I’m all for freedom of expression / fandom consumption as long as the fourth wall is respected but given recent developments in c-ent I feel like we’re treading on thinner and thinner ice....

ok i wasn’t sure how to answer this tbh without possibly getting attacked but i have a pretty strong opinion of rpf/shipping and how people take it to the extremes and i talked to oomf who validated me so here i go

tldr i mean people can take part in shipping/rpf if they want to and if they keep it lowkey but there’s a boundary as to how far shipping/rpf can go and there are too many instances of where people insert rpf/shipping in places that are unacceptable and this goes for all real ppl pairings

i’m not meaning to offend anyone, and in no way are my opinions discriminatory, but also, if you’re someone who’s gonna make HUGE stretches regarding to celebrities and push your favorite ships in totally unrelated things, maybe you should step back and think about how your actions can affect your favorite people

and i’m totally stealing this from oomf, but here’s a thought: if you ask yourself 'if i met this person irl, would i feel embarassed if they looked me in the eyes and i read this out loud to them' and if the answer is 'i would look like a pervert stalker' then like........maybe don't do what you’re doing?

ok so let me start by saying i’m a seventeen stan and when i was 15-16 y/o i shipped svt members, read rpf, etc, but never really was into overanalyzing every touch or gaze. i obviously enjoyed my favorite pairings interact and i read romantic fics about them. i wasn’t really into reading smut because for me, personally, fics using the members’ names and personalities even in au kinda made smut feel like visualizing the members in a sexual context and i felt like i was crossing a fan boundary, like, would my idol be comfortable with me seeing them in a sexual context with another member they tell us they consider as friends/brothers/sisters? or just in general, would they be comfortable with me thinking of them sexually? but hey, if it was a good fic i would just skip over the smut because good fics are good fics. now idk if it’s because i’m older, or other changes? i don’t really do romantic shipping or read rpf, i stick to reading fics about fictional characters because that’s what makes me comfortable (like if i ever rb two members’ interactions on my main, i stick to just tagging the members instead of their ship name, same goes on here for real people) and i still very much am uncomfortable w/ real people smut literature and art, but that’s just me

ok you see shipping a lot in idol culture because idols are in groups and members spend a good 90% of their time together, so whatever cute interactions you see kinda lead to people shipping two (or more ig) members. i never really thought about idol shipping culture from a marketing perspective, so i asked some of my friends, and one of them made a really good point about how some ships are more popular than others, and these interactions on shows and stuff might be a strategic/marketing tactic to lure in new fans because of the “ships” being cute. i don’t know how true this actually is, but it kinda made sense. for example, in svt, mingyu x wonwoo is a super popular ship, compared to ships like the8 x vernon which no one ever talks about, even though we know that all the members love each other equally and wholeheartedly. so yeah, there probably is a subtle pushing of certain ships in order to gain momentum in attracting more fans to the group

also i’m gonna be using wonwoo and mingyu as examples but i’m not targetting anyone or anything, just hypothetical situations w/ an idol ship that i noticed to affect the members because how out-of-control SOME stans are

so as i said in my tldr, i don’t really mind romantic shipping, as long as it’s 1) lowkey 2) not pushed in places that it doesn’t belong and 3) not mentioned among the members

keeping it lowkey- pushing ships in everyone’s faces gets annoying. sometimes fans just want to enjoy idols’ content as they give it to us and frankly, it’s a little offputting when you’re trying to watch something or enjoy something and hoards of fans are fangirling over a gaze or a touch between 2 members. keep it on your private acct, or in a group chat, not in the youtube comment section of the video. but still, men and women are allowed to touch each other and show affection without it being romantic, and i feel like shipping culture kinda invalidates the platonic relationship. like unless a pairing is confirmed to be dating, why even bother with overanalyzing these gazes or touches. and no, it’s not homophobic for non-rpf fans to be annoyed, because sometimes fans just want to see the members as they portray themselves to be rather than finding a deeper (and unconfirmed) meaning behind every small thing. fans being like “bro it’s just the touch of two hands it’s not that deep” is not the same thing as fans going “ewww i’m’ not supporting them if they’re not straight” . and sometimes i feel like people try to twist non-rpfers words and call them homophobic if they’re not for shipping when sometimes people don’t wanna romantically visualize 2 people if they’re an unconfirmed couple. how can you use lgbt struggles, which is an issue in society, to fight against people who simply don’t do rpf?? how are you use that as a weapon and for what ??? (also a good amount of people who do this are lgbt fetishizers who aren’t lgbt themselves bye i said it) why can’t we all jus be friends dudes

ok but if you’re against your idols dating someone of the same gender, that’s homophobic and you needa get that checked

but that’s different from treating two members as friends rather than bfs

but this being lowkey concept applies to any pairing, straight or gay, just keep it lowkey dudes. (like for ex we see yibo and meng meiqi shippers, which also doesn’t make sense to me because it’s based off of literal crumbs but ok) it’s ok to be rpfer or non-rpfer as long as you’re respecting the idols and keeping their best interests in mind

not pushed in places that it doesn’t belong- people need to stop bringing up ships and pairings in randomass places. for example, if wonwoo is doing a interview, with mingyu being nowhere in sight, and he’s talking about his hobbies and interests without ever mentioning mingyu, what’s the need to bring up mingyu?? people do it and it’s so... weird? like wonwoo can do things without being constantly associated mingyu? one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when shippers make these ships such a HUGE part of a members’ identitiy, when the members are doing so much w/ their lives? like no, not every move wonwoo makes, and every breath he takes is related to mingyu, but people still wanna have the audacity to mention mingyu in something completely unrelated? what’s your point?

RESPECT UR FAVES

not mentioned among the members in an uncomfy manner- like if you’re interacting with a real person, why are you gonna bring up a ship they’re included in when you have so many other things to talk about?? like ok it’s one thing to ask someone on a livestream “hey this event you guys did on xxxx show was funny, what’s the tea behind that” but it’s not okay to just mention a ship with no relation and no context to the situation. again, this counts as rpf-ers and shippers attributing a single ship to an idol’s identity much more than what it actually counts as. no, wonwoo is not 70% made of mingyu lover and vice versa. we actually saw this between mingyu and wonwoo as people kept pushing meanie (the ship) to their faces, and we saw (and still see) a much more decreased amount of interaction between them compared to them predebut, because shippers couldn’t stay in their lane. so yes, out-of-control shipping DOES affect idols and can be harmful to their relationships if you don’t control it

^ so y’all see why i feel so strongly about this, because it literally can affect these idols’ relationships on screen

JUST RESPECT UR FAVES

again, this applies for any pairing of any sexuality, i’m just using wonwoo x mingyu as an example because it’s something i saw when i was into rpf. i love both mingyu and wonwoo and they are wholesome together. i have friends who ship them and i’m completely ok with that because they do it without posing any harm to the members, but some people just need to take a chill pill and a seat and calm down ????

so i completely understand that shipping/rpf serves as a creative outlet for lgbt+ folks and that’s completely fine, inspiration, love, cool cool cool. just don’t be so pushy about small interactions especially directly to idols. and as for rpf-ers, don’t let rpf give you a reason to start fetishizing same-sex relationships, that shits weird and problematic...pls

to be completely honest, shipping for idol groups makes some sense to me because idol group members are with each other most of the time, that’s literally their job

is pushing bjyx a marketing tactic? most definitely yeah by tencent thanks tencent. i think you can see this through the amount of bts videos there are with just bjyx in comparison to other bts videos/interviews, even though there are many more important characters apart from wwx and lwj in cql, we don’t see as much side cast interactions as bjyx, and if we do, there aren’t that many w/ other cast members and yibo and xiao zhan?? relatively speaking

so yeah i think pushing this yibo x xiao zhan thing definitely was a tactic to further the momentum that wangxian was already having to attract stans, and it worked. like i LOVE watching yibo and xiao zhan bts videos because they are two goofs. love them. love my boys. love their camaraderie. and if people wanna ship, then go ship. cool! just be casual pls

i think where this becomes a problem is when people start projecting wangxian’s relationship onto yibo and xiao zhan because...the latter are real people. yibo and xiao zhan =/= wangxian !!!!!! (ok first of all yibo is a gremlin how can he be the wang in wangxian in real life) what wyb and xz show us in videos is nowhere near what wangxian is hJKNDJNWD and i see so many people just equate the two pairings...nooo... and combining everything mxtx writes about wangxian in the novel and projecting that onto wyb and xz...i don’t think that’s the move dudes they have their own lives they’re not wangxian

my BIGGEST pet peeve is when people wholly credit wyb’s development as an actor and as a person to xz and vice versa. i cannot tell you how many times i see posts saying “wyb brought xz out of his shell” and vice versa and things like “xz looks like he’s having much more fun than he is when he’s with xnine, they’re soulmates” and etc

both wyb and xz have had years of industry experience before getting to know each other. they’ve gone through some of the lowest points of their careers before even getting to know each other well, and they’ve both found Their People in the industry before finding each other. to say that wyb brought xz out of his shell in a summer’s worth of filming based on some bts videos is just so unfair to the bonds xz has made with his other colleagues and xnine members and the accomplishments he’s had before cql. same with wyb and his career prior to cql. and his uniq members, his ttxs bros, and all his other colleagues. these 2 have gone through some shit with their idol groups and it’s just not fair for cpfs to erase the significance of their career prior to cql to support and find a leverage for their shipping. i’m not saying all cpfs do this, but there is a Good Amount That Do and it pisses fans like me off

but ya my point is, wyb and xz have their own careers and they’re doing their own things now, and it’s unnecessary to bring up xz in an unrelated wyb post/article and vice versa, and it’s just so so unnecessary to link them in everything??? like i heard that cpfs prevented xz from keeping his nomination for an award because yibo wasn’t nominated so xz lost the nomination ./rolls eyes

IS THIS FATE OR” like no it isnt maam it’s just a name stop reaching

ANYWAY UNNECESSARY SIDE RANTS BUT MY MAIN POINT is that people are allowed to be shippers and take part in rpf, but don’t make their identities “____’s lover”, don’t look past their current and past achievements for the sake of your ship, don’t erase their relationships with other people for the sake of your ship, stop bringing your ship into things that are only related to one person/aren’t related to your ship, stop saying creepy things about your ship (if you think the ship people would be uncomfrotable with what you say about them you probably shouldn’t be saying it)

just. respect ur faves pls no matter who they’re with ...just respect them ty

8:04 FLASH FORWARD to the present, where everyone in the cart being pulled by a SINGLE motorcycle deals with the fact that they were travelling with THE Grimm Reaper this whole time. Seriously Qrow straight up geeks out a little to, admitting he based his scythe on her weapon...well...just the scythe apparently, also his gun is more of a shot-gun where as hers seemed more like glocks AH whatever.

Maria than gives herself a BIG OLD pity party, mentioning that even after she got her new fancy robot eyes she couldn’t bare to go back out into the field, fearing the danger that comes with battle and...I KNOW she’s clearly going to be Ruby’s mentor, but I ALSO hope she bonds with Yang as well, as holy SHIT she’s similar to Yang.

Both lost appendages during battle, both had said appendages replaced with mechanical accouterments, and BOTH are hilarious! HELL for wall we know Maria also had an almost-girlfriend who ran out on her, another almost girlfriend who got shipped off to Narnia, and a little sister who kept battling because CRIME!

Hell, she PRACTICALLY acknowledges it-

literally tho?? like ive been so frustrated with all the mike hate because he's a character with his own conflicts and feelings and it'll obviously be resolved. and also like why do you ship by*er if you hate mike??? especially on twitter ive seen some of them say mike should die if will is hurt because of him and im like cAN we pls chill???

ANON I 1000% AGREE! b**er shippers, ESPECIALLY on twitter, love and protect will so fiercely but then act like mike is nonexistent, or a literal piece of garbage if he’s not with will. mike is capable of having his own feelings and struggles. he’s a character that exists OUTSIDE of his relationships, and if you’re going to ship him with somebody, you have to understand who he is and appreciate him!! saying he should DIE just bc he may have upset will shows that some of them just dont care for mike at all and think he’s only there to pine to will’s needs. you cant just ship him with someone for the sake of shipping LIKe….. it doesn’t make any sense!!! make it make sense!!!

S01E03C06 - Eva and Jorge

Okay, so before I start, I'll admit my bias here: I am hardcore into Eva/Jonas. Like I've said many a time, Eva is in my top 3 along with Isak and Sana, and I would never be able to rank them further. And, for personal reasons, I love Jonas. I think Eva and Jonas are well-matched, but I won't ship a remake Eva/Jonas if the remake puts me off them.

I'm not really an Eva/Penetrator Chris shipper, and I don't feel Skam ever really tried to sell the viewer on it. Skam tried VERY hard to sell the viewers on Eva/Jonas.

So I wrote this as a spontaneous response to a friend saying they'd seen Jorge being compared unfavorably to Marlon (Skam Austin) and Kes (Skam NL), after clip S01E03C06. I’ve cleaned up and added details to post as tumblr meta.

I was not expecting Jorge to say what he said in the clip, about Eva and Inés. In case someone is reading this and didn't see subs yet (mine won't be out for a while, if you're even able to find them, heh), here's the full context of the comment:

Eva: Tío, es que de verdad, cómo que feo. Feo. ¿Desde cuándo te llama feo? Jorge: ¿Y tú? ¿Tú desde cuándo eres así? Eva: ¿Así cómo? Jorge: Pues así. Como Inés.

Eva has found a text from Inés to Jorge that says: "uglyyyy!!! what's up on monday in the end?" (I am being super careful with the wording, because I don't want there to be little nuances in the translation that might influence the way people read the rest of my comments.)

Eva: Dude, I mean seriously, what's with the ugly thing. Ugly. Since when does she call you ugly? Jorge: And you? Since when are you like this? Eva: Like this how? Jorge: Like this. Like Inés.

Again, to my knowledge no Jonas has ever said something like this to an Eva, and especially not at this point in the season. Jorge is saying, first, that there's nothing between Inés and him. Because he can't stand Inés. If he could, he wouldn't make that comment about her. Secondly, he's saying that if Eva turns into an Inés, there's going to be nothing between Eva and him either. A friend interpreted this as a threat on Jorge's part. There's definitely a bit of a threat implied, especially in Jorge's body language. not a physical threat, mind, but a threat that breach of privacy is a CODE RED for him.

I found this interesting, because we don't know a lot of what the other Jonases make of the Ingrids. What do the respective Jonases think of the Ingrids, as people, once they've moved on and gotten together with the Evas?

There's a hint of conflict in some versions. Og Ingrid is big into Russ, Jonas isn't. Tom may or may not be French Ingrid's brother, and also Yann's dealer. Leonie wants to organize the Heroes Party, whereas German Jonas doesn't want to work for people who might be proto-Nazis. Giovanni regards the Villa boys with full scorn, and Laura happily parties with them. Marlon seems to dislike everything Abby stands for, although he will deal Adderall to her.

But we do know what Jorge makes of Inés. He can't stand her as a person, he's only putting up with her for reasons that will be revealed later. Skam España has been making so many changes that it's really up in the air what Jorge and Inés' deal is about.

It's not just that he can't stand her as a girlfriend. He can't stand her as a person, because his walls go up completely when Eva throws the "ugly" nickname on his face. At this point, Jorge and Inés are not together, but Jorge still dislikes her enough that he very empathically does NOT want to discuss this "ugly" nickname business. That's the point where he's done with the conversation and leaves.

I also think this dislike of Inés is something that has been hinted at earlier. As we saw in S01E01C02, Inés and her crew do the Mean Girls walk and give Eva a Look. Unlike other Jonases, Jorge is fully aware of Inés' power move, he notices it and takes it in. His reaction? He makes a point of kissing Eva while they're standing there in Inés' line of sight. This is a show of solidarity with Eva, of course. But, with today's info in mind, you can argue that he's also sending a message from himself to Inés. "You don't get to be possessive over me."

Now, Jorge as compared to Marlon and Kes. I love Eva/Jonas, but I won't ship their remake counterparts if the remake gives me very good reasons not to ship them.

I still ship Eva/Jorge. For the time being, and this is just episode 3 (of 6? of 8?), I believe he's genuinely in love with Eva. Unlike Marlon and Megan, Jorge is not shitting all over Eva's extracurricular activities. Yes, Jorge does have his own agenda when it comes to wanting Eva to find friends of her own, and also his own agenda in asking how the meeting went. On the other hand, he still seems genuinely interested in and engages with Eva about the girls' first meeting.

Jorge is also fully aware that Eva has been invited to a party by a dude who wants to hook up with her, but he displays no signs of jealousy. In fact, he even seems impressed that Eva scammed this rich ass dude out of an invite. Despite acknowledging that Cristian probably wants to hook up with Eva or one of her friends, he doesn't feel like he has to be there to preserve Eva's chastity. Even though Cristian's vibe doesn't mesh with his, he's also not opposed to Cristian on an ideological level (like many Jonases about the respective Penetrators). He thinks Cristian's party is a decent enough weekend plan, and agrees to tag along when Lucas tentatively agrees to it. That is, Jorge is not attending in order to impose on Eva and her friends and ruin their style. His plan was going with his friends and doing his own thing, alongside Eva, but not with Eva.

Now for Kes/Isa. I actually really enjoy both Kes, Isa, Lucas vdH and even the peeks we've gotten of Jayden. I believe Kes is fully into Isa. He's a bit dickish, but there wouldn't be a plot if the Jonases weren't dickish at this stage. My concern is that, whatever Kes is using, is making him physically dangerous towards Isa. And that's a much bigger issue than Jonas smoking pot and being too stoned to attend dinner with Eva and her mom. You could argue that Jorge lashing out at Eva about Inés was done while Jorge is completely sober, whereas Kes only wrestled Isa to the ground while he was high on whatever. But. Shit. As much as Jorge did a whole turnaround from his usual chill self in S01E03C06, he was still just angry. He was not physically threatening. And if he was, I would be getting off this ship immediately. No amount of love for Eva/Jonas is going to make me ship Marlon/Megan, and physical abuse would be well above Marlon's crimes against Megan.

As a final note, I'd like to bring attention to the fact that, so far, Jorge has had absolutely no issues with Eva's new friends and what they do for fun. Jorge's issue with Eva SO FAR is that Eva is becoming too much like Inés for comfort. This is in stark contrast with previous Jonases, who were immediately on the defense upon hearing that the Sanas wanted the Evas to break up, and also had issues of ideology towards Russefeiring and the various adaptations of it. This might change as the storylines unfold, but for now, Jorge's issue has more to do with Eva's past than the changes Eva's friends are bringing into her life.
