Oh my god Sophie this just punched me in the chest with feelings 😭 Do you know how long I have been plagued by the idea of Zhou Zishu asleep in his loyal Ying’er’s arms?!

Han Ying looking down at his Lord as they recline together, Zishu’s cheek pressed into Han Ying’s broad chest. Han Ying feels his eyes prickle, brimming with too many emotions, as Zishu’s head lolls comfortably in the cradle of his elbow. His fringe is messy and whisper soft against the fingers Han Ying uses to gently brush it away from his Lord’s eyes.

He remembers a time many seasons ago when his Lord was tossing fitfully in a sickbed, lips ashen and eyes glossy with feverish heat. Han Ying had not known then that the cause of his sickness was an infection brought about by the third nail his Lord had driven into his own body. Delirious with heat and hacking on blood that had only just begun to fill his lungs, Zishu had shoved Han Ying from him, telling him to go, to leave, to save himself from the tragedy of being tied to one such as himself.

Looking down at his Lord now, cheeks flush with life and lips parted around deep, steady breaths, Han Ying feels tears finally fall. “I meant it,” he murmurs, thumbing the soft skin beneath Zishu’s bottom lip with quiet wonder at how deeply his Lord is asleep. How untroubled. He reaches down to gently clasp Zishu’s hand in his own.“-what I said then. I promised I would be by your side for a thousand lifetimes, if only you would permit it.”

Brushing a tender arc over the back of Zishu’s hand with his calloused thumb, Han Ying lets his gaze wander around their room, the deep shadows of the night kept at bay by the soft light from the flickering brazier, pulled close to the bed to keep them both warm through the autumn night.

The mansion is quiet outside their window, the moon shrouded by the thin clouds ushering in a morning frost that is still several shichen away. Wen-shixiong will be returning soon, and Han Ying knows he is out of time. He allows himself to bend and brush the ghost of a kiss to the back of his Lord’s hand.

“Zhuangzhu...” He breathes the confession across Zishu’s knuckles, eyes closed and head bowed. “...Han Ying must break that promise.” 

When Zishu wakes in the morning, both bed and brazier are cold beside him. He sits for a moment in the weak light of the overcast sunrise, before bringing his hand up to his own lips, recalling the fleeting press of Han Ying’s kiss.

“Foolish brat,” Zishu huffs, even as his brow darkens in worry. “Forget your next life, first walk beside us in this one.”

how does it feel to always have the most correct takes regarding f&b characters? 🫶🏻

i also really can't imagine alys being all that attached to her family, and definitely not to the point of plotting aemond's demise as a revenge. like they're ones who have made her into a servant and a wet nurse, it's them she had to grovel before all her life despite having the same blood run through their veins. hell, i wouldn't be surprised if they at the very least took part in repeating all those rumours about her going around. many forget that jon snow was truly the exception when it came to being a bastard offspring treated with some kind of affection (and even Then he fell out of place😭) and being deeply devoted to his family (falia flowers' case, anyone?👀)

people mostly want alys to be this #girlboss that ends us manipulating aemond (and a good percent of those who want helaena's children to be his) mostly because they want to see him suffer even more and it's getting so weird jdjdj like his ass' traumatized enough already, they need to give it a rest! and also keep alys' mouth out of their mouths when they don't care about her in any other scenario.

lots of people believe their shippers are expecting them to have some kind of a cottagecore (a real accusation getting thrown at twitter alysmonders again and again 💀) or a fairytale romance and maybe some of them do but from what ive seen the majority share the same sentiment. which is the amazing potential of a romantic relationship between a kinslayer and a witch taking place at a Literal haunted castle with both of their touch-starved and misunderstood asses finding solace in each other, all murky details and all. their very own gothic romance slay❤️. and because of that im not surprised lots of people are drawn to this couple and want the best possible outcome for them.

LITERALLY!!! this is happening to so many of these “fringe” female characters. The fake caring only when it concerns centering characters or narratives they like, even it makes little sense. Hence the popularity of helaemond. But a lot of those people do not speak about Helaena outside of her connection to Aemond 😵‍💫. And then you have the people pissed at the idea of Aemond (team green legend) getting even more fleshed out character work. It’s why those same people are obsessed with scenarios where Aemond switches sides for whatever reason. They find him hot and compelling but don’t want to admit it… couldn’t be ME! Also it is connected to Aemond being the resident self insert guy. People are so focused on shipping and who they want him with. And an older, dubiously acting witch is not what they envision for him. And like not to judge bc hello fic writer here, but it is annoying how people misread very in your face story telling simply to fit a ship.

people seem to forget that Aemond seems pretty… repressed in multiple ways because of trauma. I feel like having that scene of him visibly uncomfortable at that brothel lady to him “keeping a woman to rape” would be a crazy turn imo.

If they want to make it seem like alys cares about the strongs, I think they should’ve set that up in the first season. Or at least made the older strongs we saw not like… awful or annoying lmao. I don’t see her caring about harrenhal as a place outside of gaining some power that’s been taken from her. I would love the idea of since harrenhal is considered haunted, she gets “powers” from that place. Like she feels stronger (pun intended) being there versus “normal places”

And like you said, most people who like alys and Aemond together are very realistic about how murky their relationship can be. No one is expecting Aemond to be Prince Charming, just like no one should be expecting alys to be the perfect self insert protagonist. Anyway regardless of what happens, I think it will eat just based on how Ewan talks about Aemond. Ewan gets him so our boy is in good hands 🙏🏽

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO TOBY MY FAV 💕 (at least, one of em)

i know, i know, i’m lazy… BUT i hadn’t been able to hear for like 5 days until now and every. single. time. i used any sort of light source my eyes would water 😭‼️‼️ but i’m good now n on amoxicillin

so, for his birthday, i feel like i should post (some of) my fav headcanons !!

I - when driving with lyra right before the crash, she had the aux and was playing some sort of popular girly song. although he doesn’t remember what song or why he practically despises it, he knows the song has some sort of significance because he heard sally listening to it on some old boombox jeff found and he started violently ticking and got a severe ringing in his ears (starting off strong with some angst 💕)

II - i see some people that say his “father” ruined alcohol for him, but honestly… i could see his resentment for his father being stronger than his distaste for alcohol so he totally drinks on occasion. like, he has this very strong “fuck you dad, i’ll do whatever i want !! you can’t ruin that for me” attitude that RADIATES off him. also, considering the CIPA, he doesn’t get very bad hangovers (LUCKY BASTARD ??!??)

III - i also see a lot of people saying that his music taste would be alex g and car seat headrest, a bunch of male manipulator music, but… that man listens to midwest emo. like, his original design?!???1( THE SIDESWEPT FRINGE ?!??(?!1 yeah. he listens to ptv. (saliva, ptv, get scared, american football, shinedown, and probs even picked up some heavier music ((i.e. sludge/nu metal like acid bath and mushroomhead)) from jeff)

IV - knows when to keep his mouth shut, he just doesn’t feel like it most of the time or has some smartass retort he’s just GOTTA say (realest)

V - his canon ticks are cracking his neck, bending backwards, and like one other one i always forget… building off of that, i feel like he’d also erratically twist his head to the side as if someone slapped him across the face (wonder where he got THAT from…), clack his teeth in like a biting motion, whistle, imitate water droplets (YK WHAT I’M TALKING ABT), and he uh… randomly yells “FUCKFACE”. specifically because it was what he liked calling his dad 😭

VI - i imagine him as somewhere undefined on the ace spectrum, like 60% of the time he’ll be sex-repulsed and the other 40% he’s uh. fuckin’ odd to say the least. omniromantic with a male lean and is violently trans-masc (OMG ME TOO !!?!! not self projecting guyz i swearrrrrrrrrr🙁🙏‼️)

VII - he’s german, we all know that, but bro. PERSONALLYYYYY i think he’s german, some irish n italian, and native american !! give that guy some depth 🙁 also, his skin is like an olive-y tone and it’s pretty tan, just not as tan as it could be because he was homeschooled (meaning he probs spent most of his time inside), and the tree canopies of the forest provide quite the shade from the sun.

VIII - he knows how to cook/bake but his ticking kinda interferes with it so he doesn’t do it often, but when he does he makes little treats like mini bundt cakes or german chocolate muffins, and one time cooked pancakes n bacon for all the creeps he’s close with (he cut some livers in halves kinda like butterflying and made it into “livercakes” for ej… 😭

4. true face

since you basically were stranded in twisted wonderland with no known companions, excluding grim since you didn't even know him and he was trying to grill you alive when you met. riddle takes up the role of someone you can look up to, and rely on just like he did for everyone else.

it just to happens that you're a tad more privileged than the average student. getting off the hook earlier and easier due to his not so subtle favoritism. trust me, riddle really does try to treat everyone equally but he can't fully succumb to the wishes of his mind. the other half following his heart <3.

I don't really think that he acts any different but he pays attention to you in a way like actually asking how you feel, including you in conversations, and keeping your opinion known and valid. it's as though you're the sole white rose sticking out a bunch of red ones.

—unconsciously drawn by your uniqueness in general, and yes. even if you don't believe you are unique, you really are. your resolve, no matter how strong or weak opens his eyes since you always manage to come through despite the level of its intensity.

by attention I mean like noticing something new faster than someone else. maybe a trim to your hair, a change of your tie, or a wrinkle in your clothing. he will notice it sooner or later. if it's wrinkles he'll just unconsciously reach out :)

16. intimacy

fixing up your posture. i can't tell myself if it feels intimate for everyone but I imagine the feeling of a hand pushing up against your back, straightening your spine from its previous slouched position. the action alone required riddle to squeeze near you and hide it by slipping an arm behind you like some one sided quick embrace.

using his fingers to grip your wrist when he's off to drag you somewhere. you can quite literally feel the fabric of his gloves from your hand and it's hard not to get flustered when it seems to be like some unconscious habit on his end. the grip is loose, but tight enough to secure his hold on you. almost as if he's intent not to lose it.

leaning over just enough to feel his fringes brush against your forehead, or tickling yours if you have one instead. he mainly does it when he can't see a notebook from his previous position so he obliviously leans in closer, too absorbed in the notebook to notice how close he is exactly. he retreats back unaware as usual, meanwhile you're having an inner crisis.

4. true face

more or less. deuce himself in the first place doesn't even realize the feelings are actually well,—feelings. he's stuck somewhere between mistaking it as something platonic and borderline confused about how giddy it makes him feel, is this what having friends does? well he didn't have a lot in the past since he was basically all delinquent-like and everyone else got scared. :(

deuce just acts the way he always does and most of the time he doesn't even realize that he's forgetting about the feelings since he's too happy with you and aside from him, there's always some kind of chaos revolving around you and with all that you can't blame him for forgetting.

speaking of forgetting. if he does end up realizing it it'll be like a: "wait what the fuck." moment cause it genuinely baffles him, was it romantic all this time? god he's so embarassed.

deuce tries to set up goals, as weird as it sounds sometimes he practices things to say to you in front of his mirror and there's a 50/50 chance that ace would end up barging in and witnessing him pathetically compliment the mirror.

but actually leading up to the moment, all that confidence he tried to built up from before disappears and his mind goes blank, heart racing. basically he wimps out at the last second, he swears he blinked and suddenly he was watching you walk to ramshackle.

aaaaand back to square one. but with a little more extra cursing.

16. intimacy

not hesitating to throw a punch when he feels as though you were treated unfairly, or downright disrespected. the thing about deuce is that he's probably one of the guys in the school that has genuine kindness. other than kalim of course, with his outstanding sense of justice you bet he's pitching in some revenge for you.

letting you do whatever you want. another thing about deuce is that he can't exactly say no, so if you politely ask him to lay down on your lap he will. he will not question when you start fiddling with it and pull out a hair tie? or when you start smoothing out the middle part of his hair and twist it inside the tie. he wants to remove it to save his manly dignity but doesn't have the heart to so he walks in class with that get up. not affected by the snickers, but in fact. proud of it.

literally listens to you about everything and takes it all seriously. atleast close to everything, again I'm not sure if that's intimate for you but it's funny seeing him actually take up your advice or the times where he'd fearfully nod when you're in a mood. oh (band name) is really good? he hasn't heard of them but they must be the best if you said it. someone is an asshole?? where are they, do you need a punch for them? oh you make a joke? he does it literally.
