Our Solo's cyber psychosis is really tearing the party apart to the point where I'm this close 🤏 to just going back to my Netrunner's sponsor/dad to ask help ;_;

Me/my Netrunner and my friend/her Rockerboy's argument got so bad that we were screaming at each other over the Zoom call last night...

I said that my Netrunner walked to a S.C.S.M and bought a soda so she can splash it in his gonk face cos he's FRIGGING RUDE >:U

DM didn't want to allow it and made me roll... and my dumb drink got stuck in the vending machine omg I hate Night City

I tried kicking the machine, but the drink wouldn't come out cos I failed the check and the S.C.S.M wouldn't refund my eddies too

Rockerboy tried shaking the machine but the drink wouldn't come out and now NPCs were staring at our characters...

I told him to leave it. He didn't want to leave it and we got into another argument cos he said he's trying to help but we wouldn't even be in this situation if he didn't start an argument with me in the first place >:T

He ended up punching the machine with his chromed arm

Anyway... we got arrested by NCPD cos someone reported us for breaking a vending machine...

We didn't resist cos we didn't want to start a fight and trigger Solo... And he wouldn't kept his mouth shut. He kept making things worse by making pig jokes and taunting them to hit him harder

I am trying to bail us out! I'm literally swallowing my pride and contacting my friend cos he's the head of NCPD's Kabuki branch

This is so frigging embarrassing for me omg. I'm literally good with the high ranking cops. This makes me look so bad 😭

This "job" is supposed to be a light hearted intro session for a new Solo player to show what RP, infiltration, and combat is like??

But they are talking like we are going to start the 5th Corp War and I don't want our new Solo to think we're a bunch of gonks ಠ_ಠ

But...

I'm actually impressed. I didn't know that when our Rockerboy follows my Netrunner around, my friend who play him always makes private checks with our DM to survey what NPCs are hanging around

He's not as big of a dumbass as I thought. He can't access certain locations on his own cos he lacks connections to corpos, so he sticks close to my Netrunner to gather/seduce info out of potential targets in the area

And our Exec, he's ruthless and he has the guts to go against his superior in Arasaka to get what he wants. That's someone I can respect, and someone I don't mind working for

Our Rockerboy is interested in exposing Sunbucks for knowing that the automated tech they are using is a prototype with a defect in its code

There's a risk it will go berserk and kill their own workers but they don't care cos they signed a deal with Militech. And Militech doesn't care cos it's easy to cover up the malfunction by saying someone went cyber psycho

Our Exec is interested in making Sunbucks look bad so they'll be pressured into dropping Militech

He will approach them with a deal to use Arasaka guns that are already on the market and proven to be "safe"

Our Rockerboy rather not let any corp profit, but he wants Sunbucks to get rid of the defective weapons before the innocent workers get killed

Both our Exec and Rockerboy want to tank Militech's reputation though

So they're shaking hands and I'm impressed by the competence both of them are showing me

They need my Netrunner to hack into Militech, retrieve the code and exploit the defect. Turn it into something they can use to increase the odds of the tech going wild

They will break into Sunbucks' production plant after work hours and cause havoc to draw Militech security out

Once Militech arrives, I let the malware lose and record the carnage. Cos the defect makes the aiming go crazy. You can't control who you target or how many bullets are fired

My recording will be used as a hit piece by our Rockerboy to avoid revealing our Exec's involvement (to prevent a mini corp war)

^ our Exec's condition for cooperating is our Rockerboy promising he won't implicate Arasaka

Nomad is our get away driver and Rockerboy's backup. Our Solo is my Netrunner's bodyguard, so he'll follow her in as her muscle

Rockerboy said he'll start the shootout with Militech together with our new Solo

Exec will follow them in with his bodyguard, but he is mainly there as a sniper and coordinator

So in one hit, they'll tank Sunbucks, Militech, the exec I don't care about, and potentially get Militech's smart weapon project shut down

But their plan hinges on me doing them a huge favour, and my Netrunner isn't easy 😂

She has her pride, and she can be really cold hearted 😂. "No compensation? No gains for me? Then go away, I'm not interested. And buy me an expensive cocktail before talking to me" 😂

But I'm really impressed. Might do them a favour for free even though there's significant risks involved for me

Keyword is might. Either one of them needs to properly convince me first >_>

Just got the job dets from our DM last night. Sunbucks is apparently using Militech weapons...

I cannot believe our Exec is on board with our Rockerboy's plan to break into Sunbucks' product plant now cos he see this as an opportunity for a promotion ಠ_ಠ

He thinks that if we mess with Sunbucks and show how "inferior Militech ware is compared to Arasaka ware" he can swoop in and close a deal ಠ_ಠ

Our Rockerboy and Exec actually agreed on something for once ಠ_ಠ

I'm actually scared now cos when they aren't fighting, they actually make a good team cos our Exec is good at planning and our Rockerboy is good at "street warfare" ಠ_ಠ

They are bouncing ideas off each other in the group Discord chat and the plan is getting more and more destructive ಠ_ಠ

I'm the only one against this now cos it's FRIGGING SUNBUCKS

Why are both of you acting like this is the 4th Corporate War and you're like frigging Johnny Silverhand and his corp backer about to drop a nuke in a tower???

Why is their plan actually deadly??? This is actually a very competent hit plan???

I refuse to be on board with this. This is ridiculous. It's a Sunbucks but they are behaving like they are starting the 5th Corporate War

My Netrunner will NOT sneak into Sunbucks like this is a spy movie and help them make this look like a Militech equipment malfunction ಠ_ಠ

Sunbucks is literally the ONLY good thing in this hell we call Night City. I'm not letting those 2 gonks ruin my favourite coffee place ಠ_ಠ
