Diavolo, wanting to learn more about your life, reads books from the human world so he can talk with them better. He somehow picks a book on birds and reads about how birds perform dances to attract potential mates, and he thinks this is something all species does, including humans.

Jump to the next time you and Diavolo meet, man starts dancing trying to impress you bc he wants you to fall for him as hard as he did for you.

Please explain to him that humans don’t dance like birds to attract lovers.

can't stop thinking of domestic ghost learning how to crochet after he sees you practicing, large scarred, battle worn hands working away with a crochet hook and wool; not missing the way your eyes go fond as he joins you on the couch to crochet by your side. trying to suppress your giggle at the soft sounds of his frustrated grunts when he tries (and fails) to tie the slip knot for the 5th time in a row before he turns to you with a blank expression, arms extended in your direction.

what starts as slowly mastering little granny squares quickly evolves into working on whole projects; clothes, hats, face masks, stuffed animals. your house slowly fills up with both yours and his creations. although it's something you mostly do together, it wouldn't be uncommon for you to come downstairs as the sun rises only to find Simon hunched over a ball of wool, clearly awoken from a night of terrors and craving comfort from the repetition that crocheting provides.

he'd inevitably have to leave for deployment, but not without laying out a new cardigan he'd made just for you (a way he can keep you warm despite the thousands of miles that might separate you) or a little crocheted plush of himself, fitted with its very own little mask; even giving you the option of dressing it in either combat gear or his go to black hoodie and jeans. it leaves you teary every time, clutching his new creation to your chest and nuzzling the soft wool into your cheek, always knowing that his hands were made for more than just war and death.

and if the day comes you finally bring a child into the world, you better believe he's making them an entire wardrobe that matches the clothes he's already made for the two of you; holding the completed tiny garments up whilst you try your absolute hardest to not burst into tears at how small they look, knowing they're so lucky to have a dad who's going to love them so, so much.

At some point you won't even bother prying them off your hair, you just start walking with a mini garden on your head while Merlin secretly snickers to himself in the back.

He will never say it out loud but it's his own personal way of just... Branding you. To remind you and anyone nearby that ha ha! Merlin is right there, next to you! ~

As for his meals, well darling, you are the meal!

The kick he gets out of devouring your dreams is... Not healthy. He just wants a taste he said to himself, but he never looked back.

He starts to view you as a drug of sorts, if he misses even an evening, he is unwell.

Don't be mean, please don't deny him such tasty meals... He can't help himself, he may or may not indulge in taking some liberties in making you fall asleep right on top of his big and cozy lap, his magic engulfing you into a land of lovely dreams as the mage combs through your hair with his pale fingers, a strange glimmer in his eye.

... Perhaps, he ought to keep you this way.

I've got to ask you though, your art with Sam in it made me wonder if you've got any other drawings of him? I adore him and I'd love to see more of how he'd look in your style!! Hrm, so I commissioned art from @rosenkranz-does-things again, this time about this very uh, gay fic. AND I AM GOING INSANE OVER HOW GODDAMN BRILLIANT THIS ART IS!!

Aaaaah! After writing a fic quite recently in which Jenny kills someone to save Vastra, I felt inclined to commission Roz because just LOOK AT THEIR ART! Gosh the sheer SKILL in this! I love how vibrantly, agreesively red the blood is! It contrasts so well against the background, Jenny's clothes, and Vastra's face. Gosh, the way Vastra is so still and calm in her worship of Jenny and the intimate kiss!?? AHHHH this is just perfectly captured, and then Jenny's despair, her clinging to Vastra for dear life with her hand and gosh her facial expression!! Can we talk about her face! Because she looks SO hot with blood on it! Roz you mad genius! (Hey also, two of those splatters look a little bit like kiss marks on first glance, and it's driving me insane! (positive. VERY positive.) I don't know if it was on purpose or not, but omgggg) They're just everything to meee, and Roz you deliver every single time, you never miss! Just. AHHH!
