Can I request how’d art would react to reader getting a night terror
In truth, I don’t think he’d react to the night terror. He IS the night terror, and likely the very reason you have them. Maybe it’s done because he thinks it’s funny (very likely), and also maybe there’s just a hint, just a hint—of the desire to be with his partner even in their dreams. Especially when he’s not there. It’s one of the ways you know when he’s around as well.
He makes an effort to reach out to you. Forever and always.
Apparently in the Terrifier 2 book, Sienna wasn’t the only one who had a dream about Art. Her brother and her mother did, too. Sienna was just the only one who survived Art.
Whatever you dream about, it’s never pleasant. But it’s his hold on you to remind you that you’re his, and even when he’s far away, he’s there in your dreams. Some nights he torments you, other nights he stalks you, and you want to enjoy it, you really do, but there’s just… This foreboding feeling you can’t escape. You’ve had nights he’s lovingly choked you, whips you, gives you a few cuts, strangles you, the works. Interestingly, however—they have all have hints of erotic undertones to it. Sometimes you survive the dreams. Other times you don’t. It’s a mixed bag.
It’s fortunate you cannot feel the pain in your dreams. Though you’ll never forget one night he was choking you in your dreams, you woke up with your chest heavy and in a sweat, going to the bathroom to wash your face off. You recall seeing hand marks around your throat in the mirror.
All just a loving reminder who it is you’re dealing with. A mark of possession that he owns you, perhaps? A threat, maybe? A foreboding warning of what is to come? Who is to say.
But he hasn’t killed you yet.
