everything we know about games untold so far as of september 23th

because i had nothing better to do, i decided to stalk jlb's insta for all the info we have on games untold so far (it was absolute torture but worth it). i'll update this as often as i can as we get more information. all of this information comes from jlb's insta (some from posts and some from comments). if any of you have questions on where i found some of this information, i'll do my best to find it again and respond, but, like i said, some of this info comes from her comment section on her insta posts and i might not be able to find it again.

timeline

the book takes place before the grandest game but is meant to be read after (i don't remember why. i think its because there are things in games untold that could spoil tgg but pls correct me if i'm wrong). the stories (or scenes ig) range from before some of the grandsons were born to right before tgg. most of the stories are set after tbh.

this means that none of the characters introduced in tgg will appear in games untold.

novellas

"a challenged heiress. a game like no other. a night ending in flames."

the story is told from avery's pov (first person). its about the three days that averyjameson spent in prague, including that night jameson kept mentioning in tbh. jlb says its the most averyjameson thing she's ever written. the novella shows who avery and jameson are together and how they puzzle and push each other.

this story is told from libby's pov (first person). scenes span the original trilogy and the brother's hawthorne, up to shortly before the grandest game. nash is obviously one of the main characters in the story (and jlb mentioned that writing this made her fall in love with him even more)

although you could technically read the collection of novellas and stories in any order, jlb recommends reading this story after tobannah's novella because it adds some extra meaning.

a/n: this may be my fav averyjameson fic i’ve written 😕 wc: 1.7k warnings: swearing, our fav parents fighting 💔, angst but v fluffy ending i promise!! masterlist

avery sat in her room alone, reading a book to keep herself busy, but she wasn’t actually taking in a single word. 

she usually enjoyed the coldness of her room, but now it was just a bleak reminder that the one person who always radiated warmth and sent jolts through her with his touch wasn’t there with her.

and the worst part, was that it was her fault.

“what do you want me to do, heiress? act like i have it all figured out?” jameson’s voice grew louder, “well i don’t, i can’t just—”

“—just what?” she shot back, “jameson, i never asked you to act or pretend. i don’t need perfect, i don’t even want it. i need real.” her volume began to match his, even though she hated fighting with all her being. 

the moments from last night played on repeat in her mind like a broken record player she couldn’t stop. she chewed on her bottom lip, and before she knew it, her eyes began to sting. 

she wondered what jameson was doing now —drinking? driving at speeds far too high? blacked out? with his brothers? feeling nothing? feeling everything? whatever, she didn’t care. she didn’t care. 

“i need you to stop acting like nothing matters every time things get hard!”

“oh, so staying silent how you do is any better? fuck, avery, i hate to break it to you, but this is the “real” me. as real as it fucking gets.” he said through a force chuckle, letting go of the nickname and using her name instead. “if thats too much for you, or— or, or not enough for you, maybe you should just walk away.“ 

without realizing, another tear fell onto the page on her book, and it was like the boiling point for her. 

slamming the book shut and chucking it across her room, her hands came to cover her face as she sobbed, and she brought her knees up to her chest. 

she was muffling her sobs like she’d gotten so used to doing when she was growing up, so no one would hear her, but there was no one there to hear her now anyway. 

he took a step back, running a hand through his hair frustratedly as avery blinked back angry tears. “jameson, don’t even say that to me.” her voice quivered, but she wouldn’t let a tear drop. “don’t you dare look for the easy way out. you’re a hawthorne, aren’t you? the easiest answer is never the right one — you’re the one that told me that.” 

she trudged her way out of her room to the kitchen, after angrily wiping at her tears and staring at her reflection for far too long. 

she revised over all the things she would say to jameson when she saw him again, how sorry she was, how she never meant any of it, how she was so out of her mind.

jameson laughed bitterly, shaking his head. “avery, none of this is easy." his eyes met hers, his voice colder than she’d ever heard it. “you want someone i can’t be. you want a version of me that doesn’t exist. i can’t change myself no matter how hard i try, and believe me — i have.”

her throat began to tighten as she struggled to keep her composure. “jameson, no. i want you—whatever flaws you think you have and all.” she exclaimed, the next part coming out much quieter than she intended. “but you…” she trailed off, “you don’t even trust me with all of that. why can’t you understand that i love you for who you are? i want to work for us. i know we aren’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t something worth trying for.” 

“heiress,” he paused, “trying isn’t working anymore. down the line we’ll both be miserable and you’ll say nothing until we have one of these bursting screaming matches like this again. you don’t deserve it. it’s not worth it.”

it’s not worth it. they weren’t worth it. she wasn’t worth it.

avery swirled the glass of water she filled up as she leaned against the counter, dim low lighting filling the empty kitchen. the freezing water made her feel as cold on the inside as she was outside. 

she finished her glass and made her way out of the kitchen, making a turn to get to the stairs, only to stop in her tracks and stagger back. 

her eyes met familiar green ones with slight bags under them, and an unruly bed of hair that usually looked a little tidier. 

avery was at a loss for words, jameson hawthorne, standing infront of her, giving up because things got too hard?

she scoffed, but she sounded more dejected than she did angry. “fine then. don’t try anymore.” she swallowed, taking in the way jameson’s brows softened and a flash of something passed through his eyes, though she couldn’t quite place it. regret? anger? satisfaction? 

she let her eyes do the talking for a moment before speaking. “you are the most selfish person i’ve ever met.” she added with purpose, every word like a dagger to him. she didn’t wait for anything he had to say, turning on her heels with one last look and walking out of the room. 

jameson called out for her, but she kept walking. her heart beat faster than it ever had before and it was like every inch of her body wanted to turn around and collapse in his arms. 

—to apologize for everything she did and didn’t do, to look into his eyes and see that glitter of love in them, for him to kiss the tears off of her and simply be there.

unfortunately for avery kylie grambs, she didn’t always get what she wanted, and she kept walking forwards. 

avery felt like she had the wind knocked out of her as jameson stood infront of her, breathing heavily as he looked equally as surprised to have found her.

every rehearsed line and practiced speech she had left her mind in that moment. the only thing that rang through it was his name. “jameson,” she said, almost whispering. 

“heiress, wait.” he said, reaching an arm out to stop her leaving— he couldn’t let her go. she wasn’t going to anyway, she felt frozen in place. she also didn’t want to leave.

“i, i don’t know what to say, jameson, i’m so sorry.” she said with a light shake of her head, “i was so out of line last night, and i shouldn’t have—“

he cut her off, “no, avery, let me just say this, please.” he said with pleading eyes. “i think i should be institutionalized with the way i felt like i’ve lost my mind without you. i know i lost my mind last night, that’s for sure.” 

he chuckled nervously, and avery knew jameson hawthorne never got nervous. “avery, you are worth every single thing on this goddamn planet— in the whole universe. i don’t think i could begin to conceptualize a life without you in it. what i said last night? i lied.“ 

he took a deep, shuddering breath in. “i said i couldn’t change for you, but i know that’s not true, because i have— before my own eyes. every waking day i spend with you makes me want to become better, for you, heiress.” 

avery felt her eyes begin to prick with tears once again, but she didn’t feel a single drop of hurt in her body now. “i’ve never felt so deeply devoted and in love with anything in my life before, and that scares me. it scares me in a way nothing has before because i know it’s so real. but im not letting my fears get in the way, not anymore.” 

jameson’s chest heaved as he looked down at avery, “heiress. you don’t have to say anything.” he said upon seeing her glossy eyes.

there was nothing she could say anyway to express the complete enamored feeling she felt when she looked at him, to express how much she loved him. 

she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, as his arms wrapped around her middle like if he held any looser she would disappear, his head dropping down to her neck.

“i’m so sorry,” avery sobbed into his shoulder, “i love you so much. i’m so in love with you. i couldn’t ever imagine losing what we have.” 

“you won’t ever have to, heiress. i’m staying forever.” he mumbled, as one of his hands came to run through her hair. when she didn’t respond, and he heard her muffled hiccups, he spoke once again. “heiress,” he he lifted his head, his voice low and almost musical. “don’t get all sappy on me now, i much prefer that smile of yours.” 

she sniffled as she let out a little laugh, pulling back from the hug and wiping away at her tears. “shut up.” 

jameson’s smile only grew at the sound of her laugh, and her now slightly red eyes met his. her smile faded for a second before she spoke again, remembering the events that had just happened the day before. 

“jameson, i— you have no idea how sorry i am.” her brows slightly furrowed as she shook her head, echoing her words for earlier.  

he chuckled, reaching his hands out to grab hers, “yeah? i think if you repeat it one more time, i’ll have a pretty good idea.” 

“stop it,” she laughed, “im being serious.” 

“so am i. you don’t have to apologize.” 

“i do, though. and i’m sorry,” 

“if you say you’re sorry once more, i may have to consider bringing you to rehab for people pleasers.” 

“jameson,” avery breathed out through a chuckle, “i just wanted you to know.”

“heiress, i know.” he nodded with a small grin as he brought her closer, and she let go of his hands and brought them to his chest. 

his eyes flickered over her whole face, frequenting back to her lips and eyes, and there was that glitter of love in his that she loved so much.  

“can i kiss you now?” he mumbled.

“you don’t even have to ask.” her voice was barely audible in the small space between them.

he hummed in disagreement as he leaned in, his lips barely touching hers. the mere act made avery feel like she was buzzing alive as her breath caught in her throat. it would never get old.

“i like hearing you want me, like how i want you.” he whispered against her lips, before finally pressing a kiss to them, and they quickly found their rhythm against eachother. 

his hands moved to cradle her face, like he needed her as close to him as humanly possible, his brows knotting deeply as he kissed her.

jameson pulled back ever so slightly, his forehead resting against hers as they both caught their breath. 

his thumb brushed gently across her cheek as he looked at her, his heart leaping at the sight of the her smile.

"see," he murmured, his voice soft, "much better than the sappy stuff."

avery let out a small laugh, feeling light on her toes. she looked into his eyes, feeling the love pouring out of them. “everything is better with you.”

When Jameson gets sick he gets sad because he doesn't like feeling helpless

They NEVER shower alone

Whenever Avery is sad Jameson gets all the blankets and pillows and makes a nest for them to cuddle

Avery LOVES coconut and it makes Jameson gag (me too, Jameson, me too)

He actually cried during their first time because he thought that he would accidentally hurt her or it would be bad for her and she'd hate him

girlie pop did NOT hate him (quite the opposite)

Jameson draws stars all over her when he's anxious/just feeling bad with sharpie because he likes that they stay for a while so he knows she's there (does that make sense?)

For his birthday one year she gets stars tattooed on her hips and he cries :)

sometimes, they give the cooks a break and they take turns making dinner for each other (with help from the other obviously because we all know jameson is not a five star cook)

sometimes they just sit in silence while avery reads and jameson either pretends to read or just sits with her

whenever jameson notices that avery is stressed he gets her reservation at a spa

avery is the only one that makes sure jameson's room is clean and she motivates him to clean it and always helps him with it becuase he's lazy

jameson literally loves cuddling her, and he whatever she's doing he comes and sits next to her or lays with her

wherever they're away from each other, avery calls him every night or just whenever she feels like it throughout the say

he learns her fashion sense and sometimes just goes out and buys her clothes and leaves them on her bed for her

he learns to braid her hair and tries to learn all the different kinds of braids

she's also really good at buying him gifts for his birthday and for christmas

yes, i ship avery and grayson. i don't think jameson is all that. no, i do not think he is a cheater. i know that averyjameson is already endgame. please don't come at me in the comments/reblogs.

OK TO THE HEADCANONS

• Avery and Grayson love to travel together. Grayson takes a bunch of photos, and its perfect because Avery adores sight seeing.

• Both of them have a tendency to overwork themselves, so sometimes the other will force them to take a break from Foundation work.

• Speaking of the Foundation, they share an office and they always leave each other little notes on their desks.

• Grayson loves coffee, so Avery always makes him a cup in the mornings.

• They read books together (romance, mystery, historical fiction, you name it) and have really heated (in more ways than one) discussions about the plot and characters.

• Grayson always takes Avery to different plays and musicals. Though not always Broadway, sometimes it's just the local theatre group performing!

• More often then not, they fall asleep cuddling on the couch.

• Grayson loves shopping for Avery.

• He buys her so many clothes, she had to use a second closet.

• On their travel journeys, they always visit poorer cities/countries and donate a bunch of stuff to them.

• Grayson especially loves the kids, and Avery thinks its adorable.

• Avery sometimes gets Grayson to read her children's books, and she thinks it's the funniest thing when he does the voices.

• For her twenty-first birthday, Grayson, with the help of all his brothers, organized a House-wide scavenger hunt, where with each clue there was a gift.

• The final gift was Toby. Grayson had Zabrowski distract E*e while he snuck Toby out. He also had all the contracts burned (don't ask how, Hawthorne magic), so Toby was free.

• Avery cried so much, and she kept thanking Grayson everytime she saw Toby.

• Whenever Avery gets hate comments, Grayson absolutely destroys the person on his NonErrata575 account (he can't use his main one or else he'll get cancelled or some shit idk).

• Avery got him to wear the leather pants again. That's all I'm going to say.

• They shower together, but nothing sexual. Just wash each other's hair and other coupley fluffy stuff.

• Bubble. Baths.

• They both like to swim, and Grayson teaches Avery his favorite strokes.

• Grayson is a better swimmer, but Avery is better at diving and tricks because she used to do gymnastics before her mom died.

• Avery LOVES hanging out with Gigi and Savannah. They drag Grayson along on their girl time though, sometimes, because he's basically "one of the girls" (Gigi said it first) (my friend calls a bunch of boys at my school this)

• They make a gingerbread house together every Christmas Eve, and then eat it while drinking hot chocolate and watching Home Alone (they do it religiously every year).

• Not really Avery and Grayson, but Nash is basically both of their therapists (like they go to him when they need help, not like couples counseling lol).

• Grayson sometimes has really bad days when all he can hear in his head is Em*ly telling him he's not good enough and will never be worthy of Avery.

• He gets really depressed and doesn't talk to Avery, or anyone, at all.

• When that happens, Avery gives him his space, but at night she always makes sure to give him extra kisses and cuddles, and tell him she loves him.

• It always makes him feel better.

• Every year for his birthday, Avery gets him a personalized mug, pen, and a new tie (he loves practical gifts).

• They go on double-dates with Max and Xander, and sometimes Nash and Libby.

• Beach trips every summer. Avery and Grayson absolutely love the summer heat and tropical beaches.

• Grayson also sometimes sets up one of those little fancy tent things that companies do for like couples (idk what they're called but if you've seen one you'll know what I'm talking about), and sometimes Avery does it for him.

• They get a cat to keep Tiramisu company, and name it Canolli.

• They're both allergic to birds.

• Avery makes him wear color suits sometimes (shocker I know).

• Grayson has like an Atlantic accent, which he copied from TV, but sometimes his country slips (kinda like Young Sheldon), and Avery always tries to record those moments.

• Grayson and Libby actually become really good friends because of Avery, and bond over their love of their siblings and cooking/baking.

• Same with Avery and Nash, except they bond over how they like to keep a simple life (for the most part), and didn't really care about having billions.

• Grayson never drinks when Avery does, he needs to make sure he's 100% sober in case she needs him (Grayson would drink, but he can hold his liquor well and doesn't drink a lot).

He was named Johnathan Tobias Hawthorne

He was born on March 21st at 2:45 in the morning.

Just like his dad, he was a screamer. He screamed so much as a child he was given the nickname screamy weemy. (Not even sure if that is a word!)

Very affectionate with to both his parents.

Even though he has more of his dad's looks of green eyes and lanky frame, he inherited his mother's honey brown hair and button nose.

A rambunctious child, He loved playing outside for hours. If it was a rainy day, the walls would be his best friend. Just like they were for his dad.

He is definitely competitive like his parents are. Sometimes going to the point of being very rough.

He loves being with his dad, but there are times he enjoys spending time with Avery. Reading books with her. Playing chess together.

Max and Xander live with Avery and Jameson in the big house, so Johnathan has some of his cousins to play with.

Hide in seek, tag, sports, playing in the trees, running around through the massive house, and pillow fights, was something the cousins did almost every day.

Even though extroverted, there were times Johnathan enjoyed being alone.

Some of his favorite memories was traveling with his parents around the world. Like Avery, he loved seeing the world. And like Jameson, he can't stay in one lace for too long.

He loves spending time with his uncles and aunts as well. Nash is definitely his favorite. He loves going out riding with him. And Libby makes cupcakes that are to die for!

He was scared of Grayson for many years. Whenever his unsmiling uncle came to visit, he stayed clear of him. He was so afraid of him, that he had a dream Grayson murdered him in his sleep! Crying into his parents room, he said he never wanted to see his uncle again. But after Avery and Jameson talked and calmed him down, he was better, and over time he warmed up to him. But there are still times he is very afraid of Grayson.

His daughter on the other hand.... Johnathan and Caroline are the best of friends and worst enemies too. But in a good way. They argue the most, but love goofing around with each other too.

He knows, and has mastered rock climbing, racecar driving, piano, baseball, bull riding, and skiing.

His favorite games to play are monopoly, chess, clue, uno, ticket to ride, settlers of Catan, risk, and twister. (I don't know why about that one, but he just does!)

He can be very emotional, and a harsh command can send him into tears. Which annoys Jameson very much.

Avery is the one that allows him to cry on her shoulder, comforting him. He find solace being with her.

He hates having Jameson help him with his home work. He prefers Avery since Jameson doesn't do it the right way. They get to sidetracted together.

But playing baseball is one thing he loves doing with his dad. Or taking a stroll with the dog through the estate at night if neither one can sleep.

Even though born into wealth and privilege, his parents make sure he never takes for granted what he has. He respects his elders and even volunteers at homeless shelters once a week.

He is hopelessly romantic, and dreams of having a beautiful wife and lots of children when he grows up.

Do you have any headcanons about averyjameson celebrating their anniversary?

Ok, I know this is late but better late than never. Since I have two of these requests, I’m going to combine them in one post.

Jameson lets Avery sleep in and tells Nash to make Alisa bug off so she can rest. That or he hides the paperwork the night before in his room; Avery never suspects.

Avery surprises her boyfriend with a visit to his favorite ice cream shop and she also rides his motorcycle with him behind her on the bike. She even shocks him by popping a wheelie.

They go on a dirt bike trail (a basic one, of course) in the afternoon and race each other to the end.

In the evening, it's Jamie's turn to surprise Avery and he takes her to a roller skating rink where they have a pizza, one half each decorated with their favorite toppings (hers-green peppers, pepperoni, extra cheese, and bacon [she hates pineapple, Xander wants to disown her while she wants to disown him]; his-meat lover's).

He also gifts her a bouquet of her favorite flowers-hibiscus-in combination with her mom's all-time faves-orchids. In return, she gifts him with cufflinks etched with puzzle pieces in them and a car brooch modelled after his favorite Bugatti.

They spend time sitting out on the balcony watching the sunset with warm mugs of apple cider and hot chocolate.

Later, in the night, they are curled up on the sofa in her room and watching movies they love: Fast and Furious, The Avengers, Knives Out (see what I did there?), The Hunger Games, Pride and Prejudice, etc. Paired with some popcorn and cozy blanket, it makes the perfect set up. They will talk throughout the movie, adding their own inside jokes and funny commentary before gravitating to those quite talks and using their version of a sign language before sharing sleepy kisses and falling asleep (Jamie usually falls asleep first).

her hands moved around as she spoke. they’d been fighting for the last 10 minutes, but their voices only started to really pick up just now. they both hated yelling, but there they were. 

“you really think that?” a chuckle escaped his mouth as his voice grew louder. 

“yes jameson, i do! i-  i don’t get it sometimes.” her voice quivered as she yelled, taking a breath and speaking again before she could stop herself. “i don’t get you.” she let it out quietly, she didn’t even want to say it out loud — didn’t even want to think of it as a possibility. 

the crease in his brows dissipated immediately, his face was telling more signs of concern and anxiety now. “heiress, you get me more than anyone ever has.” his voice was quieter now and he stepped closer, eyes never leaving hers as he cradled her face with his hands.

“then let me know,” she pleaded, her eyes glossy, “tell me, jameson. you keep silent about all these feelings and you don’t open up, you just pretend you’re all happy and drink your hurt away.” 

his hands dropped from her face, and that somehow hurt more than any words could. “you want to talk about not opening up? avery, i love you, goddammit, but you can’t tell me about how you’re feeling for the life of you.” 

avery was silent as she swallowed thickly, knowing that he was right. 

she expected him to say more, to continue to tell her how awful she was, how much of a burden she is. but nothing came, only heaving, heavy pants from jameson and a headache on her end already starting to seep in.

“i know. i’m sorry, i know.” she couldn’t meet his eyes, her chin slightly dropping.

“heiress, i can’t tell you about how im feeling when i take one look at your face, and know you’re hurting much more than you could possibly bear. it’s impossible.” he raised his hand back up to gently raise her chin. 

“i love you.” he said it like he meant it with his whole being, and he did.

“i love you.” she mirrored back. “i’m sorry. i’m trying, i really am, but ive gotten so used to—“ 

she cut herself off, seeing the look on jameson’s face, he knew her inside and out, knew all the reasons of why and how she did things. he didn’t need to hear her say it, and it would only hurt her. he knew that.

“i’m just… i’m sorry.” 

“heiress, you have nothing to be sorry for. and i’m sorry for ever giving you the idea that you had to be.”  

she shook her head, opening her mouth to speak but jameson took over.

“please don’t try and defend me, let me say this. you deserve the world and i want to be the one to give it to you.” both of his hands were on her face again, “i have this nagging feeling that telling you how i’m hurting makes me less than. i just want to be perfect for you, in a sense.” 

“jameson,” she shook her head, “it doesn’t make you less than, it makes you human. you’re absolutely perfect for me. you’re perfect in every sense.” 

jameson’s eyes flickered to her lips, then back up to her eyes, silently asking for permission to kiss her. he felt like his words would betray him, like they could never convey just how much he truly appreciated her.

avery leaned in and their lips immediately found a rythym against each other. he could taste the salt from her tears earlier, and silently hoped that it would be the last time.

as avery pulled back and rested her forehead on his, she whispered into the space between them, “i hate fighting with you.” 

“i know. you have no idea how much i hate it.” 

“i want us to be better.” she sniffled with her eyes closed, “i don’t want to lose you.”

jameson’s hand slid down to intertwine with hers, “you’re never going to lose me.” he promised, 

“we’ll figure this out. we always do. no more silence, no more hiding, no more running away from what scares us.” 

avery lightly squeezed his hand, “we’ll figure this out.” she echoed. 

jameson pulled her into a hug, and the silence suddenly felt a lot less heavy. they weren’t perfect, but they were trying — for eachother.

whenever jameson sees avery reading a book, he asks her to read to him. he’s barely even interested in the book, he just loves hearing her talk. 

avery’s favorite moments are those small, intimate ones that might not look like a lot to anyone else but mean the world to her. 

jameson loves any moment with avery, simply because he’s with her. he wonders how he pulled her at least once a week.

they rarely get into fights, but when they do, it’s mainly because one of them isn’t talking about their feelings, bottling up emotions, or overworking themselves.

jameson is almost always the first to apologize though, no matter what. 

he’ll cut himself off in an argument, apologize and take avery’s face in his hands.

she would feel like crying, if she wasn’t already, whenever he does this.

he’d bring her into a hug, and they’d mutter something along the lines of:

avery usually wakes up first, and then watches jameson for a minute with total heart eyes. then she pretends to go back to sleep, basking in the peaceful moments for a little while longer.

then jameson would wake up, and smile because he just knows avery is awake, then he also pretends to go back to bed.

they’re just two lovesick fools in each others arms, pretending to sleep, with the giddiest smiles on their faces.

avery does her whole morning routine while jameson does his — brushing his teeth and talking her ears off. 

they also play music and scream sing together and act out the lyrics as they go. (they do this with style 100%)

to say he’s obsessed with her eye masks is an understatement.

they always do matching face masks together, eat baked goodies (libby’s half the time) and have movie nights.

jameson loves kissing avery in the middle of her talking. she always gets so flustered and caught off guard, and even stumbles over her words. 

“i’m- oh, you — what was i saying?”

now she’s the one pulling him in for a kiss, and she can feel him smiling against her lips.

jameson loves it when she grabs on his shirt, pulling him closer when they kiss.

he’s always holding her face, there’s just something so intimate about it that he loves. 

even though he’s one for grand gestures and going all out on dates, sometimes a picnic in their backyard, picking flowers and berries, and stargazing with his soulmate is all he needs to make his heart happy.

avery loves talking to him about the constellations and stars, and he loves hearing about them.

he bought her a star, and any time they are apart for work, they call and look at it together.

at least that way, they are connected somehow, looking at the same sky, under the same stars.

of course! its most def not weird and i think ik what you mean. sorry it took so long for me to make this. i apologize if this is short. im trying to finish my requests before july 9th bc i wont really be able to do any for like a month after that (ill do some here and there but it def won't be often). i'll separate these into two categories (interviews and in public) and ill do a few for each. anyways, i hope you like these <3.

in public:

jameson constantly has to have his hands on her when they're out (in a pg-13 way obviously). 1. bc his love language is physical touch 2. bc he feels like if he's holding her in his arms she won't get hurt if someone tries to hurt her and 3. he wants everybody to know he's hers.

there are tons of pictures online of jameson giving avery her jacket bc she's freezing. her stylists sometimes complain when avery puts a coat on after dressing her up bc it 'ruins the outfit' (in this case, im not talking about a jacket, im talking about a huge winter coat that hides her outfit and isn't used as some sort of accessory. bc avery's a people pleaser, she always ends up listening and doesn't put on a coat (even though she gets cold really easily) so jameson always ends up giving her his coat (even though he also gets cold easily).

whenever jameson sees paparazzi taking a picture of them, he kisses her cheek. 1. bc avery gets flustered 2. they both love physical touch (avery only likes it if its jameson) and 3. bc fans eat it up.

most of the pictures that are taken of them in public are of them in a restaurant or just eating food. they love trying out new stuff which is why they're always seen eating.

jameson hates leaving avery alone (even if she's with her security guards). he's always accompanying her everywhere, and, if he can't, he gets on his brothers to go with her bc he trusts them. he literally won't even let her go to the bathroom alone (he obviously doesn't go inside the bathroom, he stays outside but still). he also does this bc he knows that avery gets uncomfortable when paparazzi try to talk to her when she's alone, and he doesn't want her to end up in a situation like that.

i didn't really know where to include this one bc it technically happens after an interview (but not during the interview itself which is why i put it here) but jameson and avery are always seen getting a coffee (or just any other drink) after an interview before heading home. sometimes they head home directly and sometimes they sit on a bench somewhere and talk to one another. (obviously people take pictures of them doing this)

they really like stopping and taking pictures with fans and stuff. sometimes, jameson films tiktok dances with them and avery is seen in the background of them judging jameson's dancing skills so hard.

this isn't necessarily them in public but more about their socials and stuff. jameson and avery post a pic of them in each country they visit with a cute caption. they usually post it once they're gone so people won't start looking for them in that country.

during an interview:

jameson is constantly finding ways to express how much he loves avery. the interviewer will ask him a question like 'how was it like growing up with your grandfather?' and, somewhere along the way, as he's answering the question, jameson starts talking about how much avery means to him and how he has no idea where he'd be right now if she wasn't in his life.

sometimes, avery gets nervous during interviews bc she hates speaking to strangers. she'll start shaking, picking at her nails, and stuff. jameson usually grabs her hands when this happens and starts stroking his thumb over her knuckles to ground her. sometimes, when avery is really panicking and can't bring herself to speak, jameson will take the lead and start answering her questions (he somehow makes it seem normal and it doesn't turn into a scandal like 'avery having a panic attack during an interview' bc.. he's a hawthorne)

this hc is about planning the interview and not the interview itself. alisa mostly asks jameson to accompany avery during her interviews bc she only truly smiles (like not a fake smile) when he's there and the interviews flow more smoothly (she's more comfortable answering questions and her answers are more genuine). also, fans eat up the averyjameson content. she obviously still does interviews with the other brothers but not as much.

jameson loves coming up with ways to fluster avery during interviews. sometimes he'll bring up something he loves about her, things he wants to do for her in the future, or brags about how lucky he is. avery gets shy bc of all of the attention and can't look him in the eye for the rest of the day. jameson always ends up proud of himself.

jameson is really good a recognizing questions that he knows will make avery uncomfortable (but aren't 'no' questions as landon would say) but she'll answer anyways bc she's a people pleaser. sometimes he'll deflect by doing or saying smth funny (or simply saying smth he knows the public will love), and, sometimes, he'll squeeze her hand or her thigh to reassure her that she doesn't have to answer questions that she doesn't want to.

sometimes, interviewers ask avery and jameson (especially avery) really inappropriate questions about their relationship. jameson rarely gets mad, but he either tells the interviewer that they will not be answering the question (in a way that scares the shit out of the interviewer and makes them ask them smth else) or he just stands up and tells everyone that the interview is over (he only really does this when the interview is being recorded and isn't live) (ik this one is cheesy but idc)

if the interview is live and there's an audience, jameson always sits on the side closest to the audience bc he thinks that its a little safer for her to sit on the other side. that way people cant throw stuff at her and she's not as visible to the crowd.

avery and jameson have this special code thing (10 consecutive taps on the other's thigh) that indicates that they want to leave immediately. usually avery is the one using the code bc interviewers put her in uncomfortable situations quite often. jameson ends the interview no questions asked and they usually head home directly to watch a show cuddled up in blankets together to comfort the person who used the code.

of course! SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG. i'll do a few hcs for each of the characters. they all have one public and one private account (this isn't relevant for all of the characters hcs in this post but eh). i hope you like them <3.

avery: (i actually did these a while back and never finished)

she also has a shared insta account with grayson for the aesthetic pictures they take of nature together (i've mentioned this in so many posts, i will die on this hill)

she also has an old one she doesn't use anymore filled with people from her old school who never gave a fuck about her asking her if she remembers them and if she could send them some money. she and max sometimes go back on the account and laugh at her old classmates/teachers' messages (the first part is canon but eh)

max sometimes gets avery to do stupid tiktok dances or funny videos. avery pretends to hate it but she kinda likes it. (jameson eats them up)

xander sometimes hacks her public account and posts really weird shit. avery almost got cancelled once and alisa got pissed at xander. she made him make a statement

she uses her private account to like her fans videos. her fans know that it's her but obviously none of them follow her.

she makes the wildest get ready with me videos (like grwm to talk to the president or smth like that). she doesn't do them often, but when she does people eat it up.

obviously her account is verified and she has like 50 million followers or smth crazy

jameson:

at least half of his videos/pictures on his account are of avery and him. the captions are always smth cute like a song lyric or smth.

he makes tiktok dances with his fans when they ask him to.

a lot of videos are of him trying to beat world records and basically just doing really wild and/or dumb things (like how many spoons can i balance on my body)

he's very big on following back his fans and just interacting with them in general. he likes all of the averyjameson videos he sees, comments on edits, etc. people love him for it

when he was younger, he had a phase where he posted thirst traps. his brothers laugh at him for it. he doesn't do it anymore and finds it embarrasing.

grayson:

rarely posts on his public account but still has millions of followers bc, well, he's a hawthorne.

he loves making his insta look aesthetic. his insta matches a theme and he gets pissed at xander whenever he hacks his account and messes it up.

he only has one pinned tiktok which is a video of him twerking bc his brothers dared him too. accepting that dare is his biggest regret.

like i mentioned earlier, he has an account with avery where they post aesthetic pictures of nature. he also has one (under another name) where he posts random pictures he takes of people and stuff. the caption is usually the date he took it on.

when he does post smth on his insta, it's usually a picture taken at an event or some announcement of sort (idk what that could possible be though)

xander:

makes the wildest storytime videos where he talks about all of his failed experiments and shit (one of them was "storytime on the time i accidently castrated a dog)

he definitely has a public spam account which is basically just a fanpage for all of his favorite things.

xander has a secret fan account where he posts edits of avery and just gushes about how much he loves her

of course <3. i apologize if this sucks, i haven't really slept in days T-T. this one will be shorter than my other posts cause the topic isn't as broad (and wont just be about one major fight but just a fights in general too), but i hope you still enjoy them <3. @ariscats helped with some of these <3. she's amazing.

i've mentioned this before, but i think that their codeword, tahiti, was created as a result of one of their bigger fights in order to avoid them.

jameson is the one that created the code word.

i think a lot of their fights would be related to each of them keeping secrets. avery's mentioned not liking being vulnerable before which, i think, would cause issues in their relationship. she'd keep secrets in order to keep herself from being vulnerable and jamie would hate it and confront her about it. she'd be very defensive and wouldn't admit to keeping secrets which would make things worse.

i think jamie would also have trouble opening up which is smth that would annoy avery a lot. unlike avery, though, it's not because he doesn't want to talk to her, it's bc he's afraid of what she would think of him/not wanting her to see him differently. she'd confront him about it, but he'd deny it and tell her that he has no reason to want to lie to her (lies).

they're the type of people that, even when they're mad at each other, have to sleep in each others arms bc its the only thing that keeps the nightmares away.

i feel like they're also the type of people who would try their best to not raise their voices bc they know its not healthy but would end up doing it anyways.

most of their fights ends with someone crying (not because they hurt each other's feelings, but bc they end up becoming vulnerable with each other and that makes one (or both of them) cry)

i think that whenever they have a major fight, avery would do smth like not eat. she'd get so mad she'd forget to/she wouldn't head to the kitchen to get smth in order to not see jameson by chance. jameson would make sure to make/get her smth and leave it by the door or give it to oren.

they'd definitely have fights about how careless jamie is with his life. i imagine that whatever happened in prague caused a screaming match between them.

they'd try to resolve their fights before bedtime bc they hate going to bed mad.

jamie would get really afraid whenever avery is mad at him bc he'd get the idea in his head that she was going to leave him. that's why, now, whenever they fight, avery makes sure to tell him that she's not leaving him before hand.

i also think a lot of their fights would be caused by avery overworking herself/not taking care of herself, and jamie would get worried/mad and say smth about it (avery disagrees with him thinking its unhealthy bc she thinks its her duty).

speaking of overworking, avery would work so often she'd start neglecting jamie (there are fics about this). this would obviously also cause fights.

i also think that, near the beginning of their relationship, jamie would have a really hard time expressing his emotions properly and would try to hide them by acting careless/happy, enough to hurt avery's feelings multiple times.

when fighting, avery would get so mad and anxious she'd start digging her nails into her palms really hard (its something i've noticed she does in the books too so this is less of a head canon). even though they're fighting, jamie doesn't like seeing this and will grab onto her hands and hold them or will give her smth to hold if she doesn't want to touch him.

they're the type of people to take breaks from their fights cause they hate having disagreements. they'll have a screaming match and then one will go 'break?' and they'll pretend as if nothing happened and come back to the fight later.

ok so idk if this will make sense but ill try my best to explain it properly. avery reads the hate comments she receives and starts believing them, smth she'd never admit. instead of admitting it to herself, she'd sort of project onto jamie and convince herself that he thinks the same/believes the comments. their fights would revolve a lot around that, i think. avery would go 'so many people call my ugly and unworthy of you, why would you not think the same?'

speaking of those fights that i mentioned in the hc right before this one, these ones tend to not become screaming matches. jamie would try to comfort her calmly bc he knows screaming won't do them any well.

as their relationship moves forward, their fights get rarer, and when they do, they don't scream (if they do, very very rare)

idk if this is even possible but it happens to me so im guessing it is. i mentioned earlier that jamie gets scared when they fight bc he's convinced himself avery will leave him. well when he gets scared, he also gets cold so they always have a blanket on hand for jameson to use if this happens.

avery would get jealous of jamie's ex's at the beginning of their relationship bc she has shown hints of being insecure about her looks in the books. this would also cause issues with jamie.

at the beginning of their relationship, avery, like mentioned earlier, would get really insecure about her looks, enough that she would compare herself to girls online and people jameson followed (he only follows them cause they're family friends/extended family members, etc). the fact that jameson used to see her as a game and her own insecurities really messed with her head, but she never talked about it with jameson because she hated being vulnerable. this would cause fights until jamie realized what was going and then he created the code-word.

whenever they're done fighting, they always have these huge love confessions planned bc, like i said a million times before, they hate fighting and like to end it on a good note.

i mentioned this in my averyjameson fight hcs post, but, whenever they fight, jameson gets scared that avery will realize she deserves better and leave him. bc of this, when they're done fighting, he always cuddles up next to her for comfort. avery just sits there with him telling him that he's stuck with her.

jameson tends to blame himself for most of his fights with avery bc he thinks he's the problem (anti-hero) which makes him hate himself so, after they fight, they always sit down and watch friends or any other tv show to distract him (he's never explicitly said that it makes him hate himself but avery can see it. she started the 'tradition').

he hates fighting so he usually starts planning their next date after one. he's next to her lying in bed watching their tv show typing ideas on his phone. he sometimes asks avery for some input. he'll be there like 'hey, heiress, should our next date be in italy or spain', and avery just tells him that he doesn't have to do so much and they can just have a candlelit rooftop date. jameson then tells her she deserves the world and that he'll do anything for her. avery ends up shedding a few (happy) tears discreetly.

he becomes a touch starved mess. he's either holding avery's hand, begging for hugs and cuddles, or pulling avery into his arms so that he can stroke her hair and kiss her face.

fights tend to make him tired so he usually falls asleep next to avery while they watch their show. avery sees this, closes the tv, pulls him into her arms, and falls asleep too.

grayson:

like jameson, he'll start blaming himself for his fights with his so, but, instead of finding healthy ways to distract himself, he overworks himself the next day to forget about it (i say next day bc he spends the day of the fight (after it of course) with his so)

fights give him anxiety so, to losen up, he takes a bubble bath (and sometimes his so joins him)

he finds this weird, but he always feels the need to change clothes after a fight bc when he looks in the mirror and sees the suit that he wore during the fight, he starts thinking about it and it makes him feel bad. his so usually has another suit out ready for him to put on.

at night, when his so is sleeping, he goes out for a swim to clear his mind. sometimes, one of his brothers (or avery) finds him and tells to get back to bed bc its late. sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't. when he doesn't they just sit there with him/keep an eye on him from further away if he wants to be alone. (this might seem ooc of the brothers/avery but, in my head, in the books, whenever grayson is out for a swim at night, its usually around 10 pm and here its like 3am which is why avery/the brothers intervene)

he has to go to the bathroom and fix his hair bc he tends to run his hands through his hair when he's fighting with his so and it always messes it up, enough to annoy him.

xander: (i honestly see him and max as the type of couple who don't fight)

fights take a lot out of him bc he rarely has them which makes him hungry. he usually goes downstairs to have a scone and ends up bringing one up for max or he gets on of the maids to bring some food up for them.

he goes out the next day and buys items to make max a care package. he buys little bows and glitter to decorate (a rich boy's care package includes things like : 10 new books (or more), 100 bags of her favorite candy that she'll never have the time to finish (he only puts on in the care package and the rest he gets shipped to her), a new necklace with a customized pendant that reminds him of her, and more all wrapped and placed in a designer handbag)

in bed, later that night, he secretly wonders if he's good enough of a boyfriend for max. he doesn't dwell on this for too long bc he's scared of his own emotions, but he does take some time to think about it.

if he does dwell on it (what i mentioned in my last hc), he gets up and goes to his lab. he usually ends up building smth that he knows max wants to please her and to prove to himself that he's good enough (also building distracts him. its a 2 in 1). also, idk how to explain this so here's an example: max and him fought him bc he didn't give max enough kisses in her opinion so he builds a machine that slaps him every hour and yells 'kisses' (they would never fight about this, but this was easy to come up with a gadget for it).

sometimes, when he dwells on it (what i mentioned 2 hcs ago), he ends up taking a walk bc fresh air always clears his mind.

nash:

his first insitnct, after a fight, is to ask libby if she's ok. his feelings don't matter to him if she's not ok. if she's ok, he'll kiss her and think about what he's feeling (if he isn't happy), but if she's sad, he'll pick her up, sit her on his lap, and whisper sweet nothing into her ear.

libby doesn't need to explicitly say this, but nash knows she has abandonment issues and thinks that their fights will someday lead to him leaving her, so sits he goes out and buys her a gift and a card in which he writes that he'll never leave her and that he can't wait to grow old with her.

he's obsessed with her playing with his hair and it always cheers him up. their fights will sometimes sour his mood so he lays his head down on her lap which she knows means he wants her to play with his hair. he'll close his eyes and either relax or fall asleep. libby finds him adorable.

bc fights sour his mood, he usually brings libby out for some horseback riding. he also gets some food ready so that, during their ride, they can sit down somewhere and have a picnic. usually they take these rides close to sunset so that, when they settle down to eat, the sun is setting.

if the fight upset him or made him anxious and he doesn't want to talk about his feelings to libby, he either heads to the bar at night (not to drink but to bartend) or he gets a massage therapist to show up at the house and give him a massage. this usually ends up clearing his mind.
