First, the title ("Symbols") is so very fitting let me tell ya.

Secondly, idk why but Sakura being worried for Umemiya is so heart warming 🥹. My son, oh my, have you have grown so much 🥹😭🤧. I hope he gets to do the "babe this isnt you" that other people have said about in previous chapters, but like in the funniest way possible.

Thirdly, this panel of Ume is insane!! LIKE THE EYEE, THIS IS BOFURIN'S LEADER Y'ALL. BEAT HIM UP UME!!

Fourthly, Endo and Takiishi tattoo lore drop??? Not me thinking that tattoo on Endo's left deltoid m. was exclusively for himself then Takiishi takes of his jacket only to reveal the same tattoo as well!?

AND THEN PROCEEDS TO LORE DROP THAT HE DREW THE TATTOO HIMSELF??? Moreover, TAKIISHI AGREED?? these two make me sick (/affectionate)

My ideas for a Young Justice show that is actually based of the comics (that will never happen)

Animation style:

Bart’s hair is its own entity. To be animated differently than Bart and others. Hair is animated studio ghibli style bc of the static (this will slowly fade as he gains more control over excess energy. RIP extra fluffy hair Bart.)

It’s important for it to not feel like cinema. It should feel like a moving comic. Backgrounds will be simple and mostly stagnant unless the characters interact with it. Backgrounds will not always be where they are, like comics, it could just be a color, abstract art, or simplistic abstract art. When a character is moving towards the camera it should slightly feel like a 2D object is moving towards the camera.

Animation in different layers to get more comic feel (think how the background moves in the opening of beauty and the beast.)

Nothing regular should have a high frame rate or have smear (exceptions: odd things like Bart’s hair or an odd object/person like Bedlam. One background smear frame that stays a smear frame while a character is flying to help show speed without making viewer dizzy.)

Should not have a lot of bright flashing colors (especially without warning.) I WANT THIS TO BE ACCESSIBLE PEOPLE!!

Showing multiple Bart’s at once (like how they do in the comics) to show how he’s moving fast rather than give the viewer a headache (or/and rather than leave out him being like that)

(I get it, and I honestly admire your dedication to give the best you have for your works, so take your time with your projects, I know you're working hard and I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we'll never rush you to have anything finished and posted right away.)

• My take on inokana: They complement each other in many ways. Inosuke is very loud, and Kanao is very quiet, but they've both seen each other in the rare state where they're not. I feel like Inosuke could bring out a little immaturity in Kanao and that she could teach Inosuke a fraction of patience. Inosuke definitely has some form of appreciation for her skills and capabilities, and he'd definitely hold her in high regard in his own mountain king way. I don't know why, but a gut feeling tells me they'd agree on a lot of things for completely different reasons, and I suppose she'd humour him when he wants to go exploring in the forests because why not? Personal hc: they would've stayed by each other's side during recovery where Kanao would tell Inosuke more about Shinobu, and would also tell him the occult stories Shinobu always used to tell while Kanae covered her ears. Anyways yeah I care about them a lot. The bsd friend that suggested rengokunikida is a genius because it's so fitting. The immaculate coincidence of both of them getting impaled in the stomach by an immortal being WHILE SMILING AND LOOKING AT PEACE is too perfect.

The sun beat down onto the dusty streets relentlessly. Alejandro kicked a pebble into the gutter and smirked victoriously at his best friend, who simply rolled his eyes. "Maybe if you had skills like me, Valeria would be interested in you, hermano." He evaded the other’s vicious attack and cackled, not letting up his teasing. "After last week’s mess up in English class, you might want to actually impress her."

Rudy just tried to hit the back of his head again, his face red as a beet. "Cállate, cabrón! You’re the worst- and I wasn’t even trying to impress her!"

By Ale‘s shit eating grin it was clear that he didn’t believe a word his friend said. With a sigh and a shake of his head, Rudy merely looked away, ignoring the other’s laugh.

They soon arrived at school, a few students mingling about in the sparsely shadowed yard, an escape from the heat provided only by the school roof‘s overhang and dry looking trees. Classes would start soon anyways, so they didn’t bother finding a place to sit outside, making their way towards their classroom. It was an old school, the hallways a squeaky linoleum, but some of the rooms themselves still had floorboards just like their‘s did. They creaked when you put too much weight on them or took any kind of step. Alejandro did take a step backwards when he first crossed the threshold. In the back of the room, next to the window, sat someone he‘d never seen in any of his classes before. The stranger had short, sand coloured hair and, most importantly, Alejandro noted, the bluest eyes staring right at him. Instantly, he was aware of his appearance, how his hair just wouldn’t lie right today, his shirt that definitely wasn’t a bad one but also not his nicest, that he probably looked stupid just standing there-

"Huh, I didn’t know we‘d get a new student this year", Rudy noted nonchalantly, as if there wasn’t a cute guy sitting on Alejandro’s assigned seat, and stepped around his frozen form blocking part of the doorway. He made his way over to the guy. "Hey, you’re new, right? I‘m Rudy."

The stranger shook the offered hand and introduced himself. "Phillip, how‘s it going?" His American accent was strong, Alejandro noticed, and sadly very charming. Rudy smiled politely.

"I’m good, thanks, I just wanted to ask if Señora Rivera told you to sit here?" Before Phillip could answer, Alejandro had stridden over and motioned to the seat he was occupying. "That’s mine. You can’t sit here." What a great way to talk to the cute new guy; he wished the ground would just open up and swallow him whole.

Said guy also didn’t like his tone and crossed his arms, leaning back in the chair. "I got this seat assigned, so fuck off." Before anyone else could be insulted, the teacher stepped into the room, hair pulled back tight and gaze sharp.

"Ah, Vargas, Parra, good to see you‘re already getting acquainted with our newest addition. I was hoping you two would show him around after class; we don’t want him to get lost on the first day, do we? Your new seats are one to the left." Just a quickly as she had entered, she had left, some papers in her hands, probably to go copy them like always, leaving Phillip and Alejandro staring at each other, one smug, the other angry. Rodolfo sighed, sensing a headache from a mile away.

Heya, Kait! Been a while, huh? A lot has happened honestly. I started to post some of my art here, even though I'm not that motivated to do digital art much-

I don't want to make this too long but I've actually gotten way more comfortable with self-shipping with the second character I told you about! I'd like to tell you a bit about him, too. His name is Yatora Yaguchi, he is from Blue Period!

Recently I've actually gotten a bit more better at my art and even a bit more confident all thanks to this media and especially Yatora. His experiences with art made me feel seen because I relate so much to how he feels and the way he learns more about art had opened my eyes in so much stuff about art as well. I'd love to ramble about how much Yatora means to me but it's gonna be extremely long, honestly.

He is a very emotional and insecure guy deep inside and he tries his best with art and even to have good relationships with the people around him, even if he doesn't fully agree with them. He is friendly and I love his appearance a lot. The fact he cries easily and blushes very easily makes me appreciate him even more, he's so cool istg- I find how hard he works very admirable and so much stuff about him.

I still tend to focus on Saeyoung as well sometimes but my main focus is Yatora for now. Although, I do want to focus more on the redhead, Saeyoung has also helped me through a lot in my life and I feel grateful for both him and Yatora.

I tried redoing Saeyoung's route once more and I still feel myself loving this precious redhead. I just wish I could focus on the both of them equally. Even if I could do a crossover between the two, I'm not really sure about it so I just imagine two different versions of myself in their worlds.

But I am kinda sad there's not a lot of fics, fanart (ngl it's mostly ship art even though there's.. no romance in the actual series) and other stuff of Yatora. At least we have an anime of this series and a lot of manga panels of this boy, even official merch and more but I can always write self-inserts or even random prompts I find online. Even though the manga is still ongoing, I'm thinking of not doing many self-inserts with Yatora yet. I do wanna see the whole story fully before inserting myself into it. Though I know it's gonna take months, even years.

Other stuff.. I'm at my grandma's! I'm still kinda sad I can't use a bike because it has some problems, we still have cats, chickens, actual ground outside I can walk for a while and even going to the beach by my uncle's car. And I won't lie, it feels.. lonely a lot here? I don't do much during the day, sure I draw here and there but that's it mostly.

The people that used to come out to play with balls and even ride their bikes aren't really here anymore. They grew up and stopped coming. So I'm just trying to get through the days as much as I can.

And one thing that actually happened recently.. remember when I named you after a Snow Wraith, Kait? Sadly, the game shut down a while ago. And the thing is that it actually shut down the exact same day I came at my grandma's. I don't mind that I wasn't on at the last moments of this game but man, it's still something.

It's insane how all my dragons must be at the hidden world by now. I actually started that account when I was here at my grandma's. So the game ending the same day I finally came at my grandma's makes me feel some type of way.

I actually used to play that game for at least 7+ years and then settled on working on one account, no matter how long it took, which was this one. I actually had most dragons but them making everything free at the end which allowed me to get everything and get them to the max instantly felt kinda.. off.

So for 2-3 days. I flew around with every single one of my dragons, fed them fully and took off their saddles before saying goodbye. I took screenshots of every single one of them, too. It feels weird but this game was really fun sometimes.

I think I'll end my rambling here, I'd love to send asks about Yatora and Saeyoung and ramble about them. Yatora gets really flustered just like our redhead Saeyoung and it's making me smile a lot. Although at Yatora's side, he isn't exactly a dude who teases someone else or flirts. I love how even though Yatora and Saeyoung have some similarities, they are still different.

Hello, hello! I'm happy to hear that you're doing better. I'm sorry that your favorite dragon game shut down its servers. I've had two games do that this year and it really bites. It definitely makes me wish there was a way to get tangible offline versions of our favorite games so it would never be lost, but that's a tough bargain in our society. All that leaves us with is the memories, and that's not too bad, because we'll always have those.

I don't know anything about Blue Period but I've seen the art before and it looks pretty! I think it's great when you find a character who's capable of reaching you and showing you something that you didn't know about yourself until you dove into the story. Like, it's important to have those experiences with characters, regardless of if we love it or not.

Sometimes, you need a hard mirror to look at instead of a soft way. I feel that way about some characters. As much as I love growth from tenderness, damn, sometimes we need a smack in the face to see a new angle we never imagined before, you know what I mean? I get it from the strangest places! So, yeah. It's not weird.

When it comes to tying to your different loves together, there is no right or wrong way. I definitely enjoy crossovers where I can find the best way to see myself with all my favorite characters, or at least, two of them because I love world-building and seeing where that goes...

I am just that kind of person, though! I can't tell you how interesting it is to have my brain debate the best way to tie together Obey Me and Mystic Messenger or Mystic Messenger and Tears of Themis or what have you!

I'd love to hear you babble about your new love whenever you get the chance to! I've got a lot of free time and I love talking to my buddies online about everything, not just MM.

If you're doubtful of that working out, though, don't worry about trying to tie them all together, friend. You don't need to tie those universes together if it's hard or you're getting comfort in different ways from each character. Not everything has to unite, sometimes you just need to have things pushed apart!

I'm doing alright these days. Some days are tough, some days are easier, and some are in the middle. Pain flares have been more often these days, though. It makes it hard to write so I'm not putting out as much as I want, but hey, health comes first and that's just how it is. I can't nudge myself into exhaustion. Saeran wouldn't like that and it's that fact that keeps me taking care of myself. Cheesy, but it works, I think that's a good thing.

Right now, I'm working on some self-care. I want to put out another installment in my self-insert series with Ray... I've got the plot set up and I'm so close to getting things where I want them to be.

I have read all of your stories and I love that you have main characters and not y/n / reader insert because it gives the story that much more depth because the characters are complex and I'm sure people still identify with the main character on some level because they feel so human. I was wondering how you come up with the characters? Are they based (character and appearance) on someone you know or your self or completely made up or? I'm truly fascinated

💘💘💘 cant thank you enough for asking about the characters!!! istg!!! i love this SO MUCH that i intentionally took a little to answer just so i could do it properly 💘💘💘

so, first of all, i just wanna say that i dont insist on creating main characters because i think they're better or anything like that, but because i dont know how to do it any other way. it is what makes sense to me, and it is the reason why i am so passionate about writing. ive studied theater/performing arts most of my life, so for YEARS i played around with watching people on the streets and imagining what their lives could be. i learned how to find motives for someone to do this or that, how to create at least some minimum of background story and how to plan a story with beginning, middle, and end. and i always loved that SO MUCH and was SO fascinated by it, that when i decided to stop pursuing a career as an actress, i also decided to get a psychology degree just so i could learn even more about how people think/act/react/feel + how that's all connected, etc.

and in the end, thats how i come up with characters. because its basically part of me now lol i do it naturally and i cant help it, and even if im doing one scene or writing just 300 words, I'll still need SOMETHING to base myself on (even if it's just the tiniest bit of information). maybe i won't share the main characters' names with anyone or mention anything about their lives, but i can promise you they more than definitely have a full name and past somewhere in my mind.

with that in mind, the way i come up with specific characters for my stories is completely different. i created maisy and harry from the prompt "we're not just friends and you fucking know it" and that was supposed to be really short. so i knew the names, and knew how their friendship started, and some details here and there, but didnt dig TOO MUCH into their past stories. cant even remember why i chose maisy as her name tbh lol however lia and harry was different, i first created harrys personality from this one picture of him that i was looking at one day, and then i created lia. and then, for a toast to the future, someone requested a one-shot based on harry in Italy and somehow i came up with aurora and everything else.

none of my characters are based on myself, tho. like, for me, creating characters and stories is supposed to be a distraction, kinda like "stepping out of who i am", yknow? so i cant write if im picturing myself or writing about my own flaws and traumas and things like that lol at the same timmmmeeee, we ALWAYS end up putting a little bit of ourselves into our writing (whoever says they aren't they are lying to themselves lol). i had a best friend who never admitted we were way more than friends, which was why i chose that prompt back in 2020. our story has NOTHING to do with maisy and harry for many many many reasons, but i didnt choose that prompt randomly. then lia... well, that was very cathartic to me and probably the most personal lol years ago i was dating a guy who told me "i should be more spontaneous" and i never realized how much it had bothered me and stuck with me until i based myself on that to create lia. i mean, im not like her in many many ways, but i wanted to create a character who struggled to speak up (i struggle to put my thoughts in order bc of my adhd, she struggles bc of her anxiety) and stand up for that character. she's not perfect and i know some people dont have too much patience for the way she behaves/thinks, but in the end i guess thats basically my point with the story? like people dont have too much patience, but thats on them. we shouldnt be trying so hard to change in order to please them or be more socially acceptable/welcomed.

ANYWAY... as you can see i could write HOURS AND HOURSSSSSSS about this. i didnt even get into Aurora bc thats a whole other long story that probably deserved its own answer lol but yeah, in the end, Lia's entire life was created so it makes sense that she is the way she is rn. same goes for harry!!! also didn't get into appearance and so many other things 😩 but i have to stop writing at some point which is RIGHT NOW!!!!!
