ARCANE SEASON 2 ACT 1 THOUGHTS!!! SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT IF U HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET SCRAM ‼️‼️
my jaw was unhinged the entire time. how did they manage to make already great graphics EVEN GREATER????????? wasn't expecting the intro change but I was GAGGEDUH. vi in a white tank top was NOT on my season 2 bingo.
cried while watching all of them, gotta be fr. in the moments I wasn't I was either biting my lip or saying oh my god oh my god under my breath out of utter disbelief.
caitlyn is STUNNING. like I genuinely wanted to lick my screen when she was in the frame who said that. vi is an absolute darling, I wanna eat her up. sevika can GET THIS I repeat CAN GET THIS. jinx looks so out of herself my poor pookie but she eats it up every time she's on screen. all the others are divine and it's so refreshing to see them again after so long rewatching the first season until I practically memorized the scenes.
jayce being so worried over viktor kiiiiinda cured me tbh. scratched my jayvik bone so good. ambessa pulling the strings on absolutely EVERYTHING bad happening like I KNEW IT FROM THE START. she's so hot but she's such a bitch. hope she dies in the last act sorry not sorry.
I love the way caitlyn is so different from season one. she's bloodthirsty, ruthless, blinded by rage (I'll defend her with all I got) the way she was so ready to shoot a child was insane tho, and what she did to vi straight after? UNREAL. cait honey u and I gonna have a serious talk later. that kiss was WAY TOO SHORT I need an hour long makeout scene idc.
speaking of vi, HOLY SHIT. LIKE HOLY SHIT. I missed her puppy eyed ass. watching her on screen is so cool and it makes my heart ache because she seems so done with the idea of trying to rebuild her family. like she's EXHAUSTED and BROKEN. but she still keeps her heart sweet and compassionate, my poor baby. she can't change who she is, no matter what life throws at her. I need to see her happy again.
jinx also seems resigned to the idea of being everyone's bad guy. like yes, she did do a lot of terrible things— good thing she owns up to them. but she doesn't do anything to prove herself the right way. she's just succumbing to the fact that she is, in fact, a jinx and that no matter what she tries to fix or make right she can't. because it's just not in her nature (according to her). let's hope that bond she has with isha changes something in her...
oh also um THE WHOLE HEXCORE THING???? HUH???? THE ARCANE AND ALL THESE WEIRD THINGS GOING ON??? I was left buzzing from excitement. like what in the actual fuck is happening. viktor turning into some sort of spooky messiah IS INSANE. WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT. like yes girl heal those shimmer addicts u got powers now. it's giving jesus. I literally gasped in that scene.
the settings, the music, the graphics, the new and old characters, the montages UGH THE MONTAGES. I need the names of every single animator and creative designer so I can send each of them gifts. wtf people are so amazing and creative.
I really REALLY hope things only get better from here. I'm already devastated and Vi isn't a pit fighter yet. this is gonna be great, I know it.
#im genuinely so excited#didn't know if i covered everything#i ramble#cant wait for next saturday#arcane#arcane 2#arcane netflix#arcane season 2#vi arcane#caitvi#caitlyn arcane#jinx arcane

RWCH Readathon 2024: Day 4
Underciver Princess - Chapter 9
THE GIRLIES GET TO BOND! FINALLY
Im on a train so his is literally my thoughts as i listen to the audiobook instead of reading a physical book
I really love the visual of Ani and Ellie painting each others nails... stay tuned for something about that tomorrow? ;)
Ellie tidied the room! I really adore that Ellies messiness isnt necessarily gone, but you can try that Ellie has really tried to sort it out
AND OH MY GOD
WHAT DO YOU MEAN STANDING IN JUST BRIEFS
We were too casual about this
Also you can wear a bra or tank top to dye your hair trust me i do it every month
This is the gayest thing I've ever read and I've been on ao3 since i was 12
The velvet underground is excellent, and i think you should all go listen to them
Their lil apologies and the "Mr Truffles." Im dying i love them
NON BINARY / ANDROGENOUS ELLIE MY BELOVED
Baby gender funky
Ellie is legit the reason i figured out i maybe was gender funky so shoutout to ellie wolf the most gender ever
Even though ellie did get to choose Rosewood that easily, i like that she can still kind of relate to lottie in that it wasn't the easiest thing to get there, even though they have different circumstances
I like that ellie really genuinely is in awe of ellie and shes trying to say that
But honestly yeah some of the others probably wont apprciate it as much as them both because they almost couldnt go here
"Ill gladly beat them up for you" cut to Edmunds nose...
"I'm perfectly capable of beating up my own enemies" well... not yet, but you'll get there
Honestly yeah. Dying hair is a true bonding experience. I remember my gf dying my hair for the first time and its one of the... most non romantic non sexual but intimate things
Maybe Charles boyle from b99 had a point about the shampoo...
The kitchen sounds like heaven
"Like she'd found a little home with her" GUYS IM CRYING ON A TRAIN I CANT DO THIS
Right onto the "Bad Thing"
Thats the most scary way she could've phrased that
Poor lottie she just wanted to please
Adina devine once again could punch me and I'd thank her
I love Ellie so much, shes such a little actress
Prof devine is so chaotic good i adore her
I feel like theres not enough fan art of their pajamas!??!?!? Ellie likes star wars and we dont talk about that enough
I love their lil blossoming friendship, the way they cant stay mad or cross and just burst out laughing theyre so sweet
William tufty!!! What a man
I have such a perfect image of this room in my mind, but a glass table is no where in it that feels so wrong
I dont like the term loveseat
I think that this scene and the interaction between prof and devine proves that she knows ellies identity. We never get confirmation of it, but like... someone must have her actual legal documents right? For exams and stuff?
"The fates have placed you together" UGH I NEED A SOULMATE AU RIGHT NOW
All of devines speech at the end of this bit feels like its got so much power behind it, like shes casting a spell.
She understands these girls so intensely that I wonder if she had a similar experience when she was a student. Did she go to Rosewood?
"We can achieve amazing things when we uplift one another"
Reminds me so much of "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent" from YOU GUESSED IT Barbie Princess Charm School
I promise I'll have a different comparison eventually
Theyre a little sanctuary 😭😭😭
Finally, the ominous little bit about the rumour, growing like weeds in the grounds of rosewood is so poetic and so full of suspense i love it so much
It really sets up quite how dangerous the rumour could and will be
It also comes back to the whole thing about Lottie being somehow tied to the roses and garden. And the rumour and things stirring as weeds, here to disrupt her perfect life at Rosewood
And we're so back. This is the chapter that lowkey gave me faith again. The way the settings are described and the character motivations are softly shown and they feel like real moving characters.
I really appreciate this humanising Devine too, while also making her seem otherworldly at the same time. It's like a heightened version of Binahs almost omniscience.
All in all, this chapter makes me really happy and i need fan art of all of it please @ Rosewood artists

@ovcrwctch said,
"What do you do for fun? We should do something you like this time." Rein suggested, since they had a free evening. Roommate bonding time!
Despite his apprehension within OVERWATCH, he finds himself adapting... actually quite well to living with Reinhardt! As boisterous and rambunctious as the Crusader often tended to be, he finds himself startled less and less by the abrupt interruptions and prodding he receives from his roommate-- to the point where he hardly reacts when Rein opens doors at random and barks his name, and even less so when disturbed from his own work, and while that might seem relatively insignificant to the others, it’s a massive improvement, all things considering. A pleased smile plays across SIGMA’S features when Rein meanders into their shared room, his holopad placed to the side to give the other his full attention as he sits up from where he’d been laying sprawled across his bed.
“... Fun...? Well, I do enjoy going down to the water’s edge to listen to the waves break on the shore to collect anything that happens to catch the eye--“ SIGMA taps a slender digit against the base of his jaw, scratching at the white stubble that peppers his chin. “... Admittedly, I have been spending a considerable amount of time on my work... Okay! Let us find something to do! I doubt SIEBREN would mind a little break too terribly-- we have been working so hard!“
“-- You know, we spend an awful lot of time on-base... Would you be too terribly opposed to.... I don’t know-- heading into town or something...? We could just look at things, or-- oh, oh! I did get a little spending money from Miss Ziegler as a gift for helping out in her office. We could use some of that and get some snacks or something-- maybe we could purchase a few beers and take them down to the beach for low tide...!“ Although most certainly not a drinking type, he found knocking back beers with Rein to be a fairly good medium between sobriety and inebriation without the detriments of full intoxication.... And, really, he’s come to feel so safe around the Crusader that he doesn’t mind allowing himself the opportunity to genuinely relax and enjoy a little down time...
“... How does that appeal to you, Reinhardt?“

The Bond Between Us ~ 49
THE BOND BETWEEN US MASTERLIST
< previous chapter
Word Count: 4,070ish
Summary: Reunited, you and Obi-Wan need to get the people off Jabiim quickly before Vader arrives.
Notes: I loved writing this one! The little sweet moments I was able to put in was just so... ugh! Loved it!
You woke up in a bacta tank. You immediately began panicking, confused as to where you were and what was going on. Obi-Wan quickly got your attention from outside the tank. His hand rested against the glass as he tried to push some comfort toward you.
“You’re alright, little star,” his voice was muffled. “I’m right here.”
You continued to panic. Your brain still not comprehending that this was real. Obi-Wan noticed.
“Pull her out!” He demanded.
“But she’s not—“ Tala tried.
“I said pull her out! Now!”
Obi-Wan raced up the small set of stairs that led to the top of the bacta tank as Tala controlled the wires that began pulling you out. As soon as you breached the surface, you spit out the breathing tube and were crying and whimpering.
“Please, don’t hurt me,” you whimpered, clearly not thinking straight. “Please, don’t hurt me.”
Every time Obi-Wan thought he couldn’t feel anymore heartbreak, you went and did something that further proved him wrong. He quickly grabbed you and unhooked you from the wires, pulling you out and into him. You trembled as you willingly leaned against him.
“It’s just me, darling,” Obi-Wan’s voice was soft as his signature wrapped around yours tightly. “No one is going to hurt you here.”
“Obi?” You questioned, looking up. Then you remembered the rescue. The Fortress. Leia. “I’m so sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I—“
“No, no, no, no, no. Do not apologize, my dear. You have been through a trauma no one should ever have to endure. It’s going to take a while before you are fully healed; mind, body, and spirit.”
You nodded, looking around the room. “Where are we?”
~~~
Obi-Wan explained everything that had happened; Leia getting kidnapped, the Third Sister, the Path, his duel with Darth Vader, Leia getting kidnapped again, and Jabiim. He did this all while he helped you get dressed, knowing that you would not be willing to enter the bacta tank since you were continually clinging onto him. Not that he minded. Having you by his side was something he had lost forever. If you longed to be there, he would make it happen.
You and Obi-Wan walked out to the main area of the hidden base, seeing Leia talking to Haja.
“Haja?” Obi-Wan questioned. “What are you doing here?”
“I had nowhere else to go,” Haja said. “Right after I saw you, I got into a fight with that scary lady Inquisitor. Now, I’m wanted by the Empire. But now, I know what it feels like being a real Jedi.” Haja laughed. “It’s not easy. This place is a good business opportunity though.” Haja walked off.
“On you go,” Obi-Wan encouraged Leia. She ran off to join Tala who was talking to other kids. “Roken,” Obi-Wan and yourself walked up to the other man, “that transport, I need to get her back to Alderaan.”
“Once we get all these people out of here, I’ll do whatever you want,” Roken replied. “They’ve been waiting for months. We used an old trade route to get them out but the window’s closing. We held it to help you get the kid. We only have a few hours.”
Obi-Wan nodded as the two of you looked around in the crowded space. “We’ll do whatever we can to help.”
Roken gave Obi-Wan and yourself a thankful nod before giving Obi-Wan’s arm a pat as he walked away. “Alright, alright, let’s hurry it up! Get ready for dust-off. Leave anything you don’t need.”
“Come here. There’s something I believe you’ll want to see.”
Obi-Wan guided you over to a wall full of carvings. The carvings of names and symbols and sayings. You left Obi-Wan’s side to run your fingers along the carvings.
“The light will fade, but is never forgotten,” Obi-Wan read off in a whisper.
He glanced down to see a crate of left-behind lightsabers. Picking one up, he inspected it before setting it down and picking up one of the forgotten Jedi cloaks. Turning back to the wall, Obi-Wan looked at you. He remembered a time when your light could fill the whole Jedi Temple. Now, you stood before him so worn down, and yet you never gave in. Your light had faded slightly, but you were never going to let it be forgotten. He took a step and reached out for your hand. You turned as he brought it up to his lips for a kiss.
“What was that for?” You asked softly.
“To remind me that you’re real,” he admitted. “I… I had thought you died. The pain… it was…”
You hurried closer to him, cupping his bearded face. “I am so sorry, Obi. I did what I had to do, but that is no excuse.”
“No, no, please don’t apologize. I understand what you did. All of it. I am just grateful to have you here with me now.” He leaned forward and kissed your lips softly. “My little star.”
You sighed. “I have missed you so much.”
Your attention was quickly pulled to the hangar doors slamming shut above you. Obi-Wan made sure your hand was in his firmly as the two of you jogged over to Sully.
“What’s happening?” Obi-Wan asked.
“The controls aren’t responding,” Sully answered.
“An Imperial Destroyer just arrived in orbit above us,” Roken stated.
“She must have tracked us,” Tala added.
“It’s not her,” Obi-Wan said. He glanced at you to confirm what he was sensing. You gave him a worried look, feeling the same thing that he was. “It’s Vader.”
“He wants us to surrender,” Sully said.
“If we surrender, he’ll kill us all,” said Tala.
“He’ll attack next,” Obi-Wan stated. “He hasn’t the patience for a siege.”
“How do you know?” Roken wondered.
Obi-Wan and yourself looked at each other sadly. You squeezed his hand, trying to bring him some peace. He looked around, noticing that the crowd was panicking. He shook his head slightly.
“Everyone,” he called loud enough to gain the crowd’s attention. “Everyone. I understand you’re scared. The Empire will attack soon. They’re stronger than us, better equipped, better trained. If we try and fight them, we will not survive. But we do not need to fight them. We just need to hold them off long enough to get you all out.”
You stood there, holding Obi-Wan’s hand, in awe. Your mind almost took you back to the clone wars because there, beside you, stood General Obi-Wan Kenobi. And it was clear he hadn’t been around for a long time.
“Roken,” Obi-Wan continued, “how much time do you need to override the doors?”
“Three, four hours,” Roken responded.
“You have one. And block every other remote access. Everyone else, we’re gonna lock down every other entrance in this facility. If we defend our position together, then by the time they get inside, we’ll be gone.”
“You heard him!”
The crowd quickly started moving. Obi-Wan looked over at you, noticing you were staring.
“What?” He questioned. “What is it? Have I got something on my face?”
You chuckled lightly. “No,” you responded, your free hand coming up to rest on his cheek, “it’s in your eyes… General Kenobi.” You pressed a light kiss to his lips. “I saw you eyeing that cloak over there. Why don’t you wear it?”
“I don’t know—“
“There is no time for excuses, Master Kenobi. Grab it and bring me one as well.”
~~~
You, Obi-Wan, and Roken, quickly got to work on a plan to get the people out as quickly as possible. You knew that Vader had no patience and a force was on their way to you right now. You could sense them when they arrived, lines of stormtroopers and the Third Sister waiting outside of the base’s entrance. You flinched when the door started being fired upon.
“It’s a heavy gun!” Sully said, racing toward you, Obi-Wan, Tala, Haja, and Roken. “They’re trying to blast through the outside door.”
“Roken, we need the hangar roof open,” Tala stated.
Roken pressed a button, muttering to himself. “Come on. Come on. Come on.” The gears straining but the roof did not open.
“That was underwhelming,” Haja commented.
“I don’t need your opinion.”
“Did you try going in the vents to see what’s going on?”
“I’m a little too big to be crawling around in the vents. Would you like to try?”
Leia walked confidently toward your group. “I’m going to need a ladder,” she stated.
“It’s not playtime right now, Princess.”
“Do as she asks,” Obi-Wan ordered. Roken was surprised. “You trust me? I trust her. Get her the ladder.”
Roken huffed. “Get her a ladder. Quick.”
“Leia.” The girl turned to you and Obi-Wan as he called for her. “Be careful.” She nodded before walking off. “Haja, will you keep your eye on her?”
“I am not a babysitter, Ben,” Haja responded as a device began beeping in Obi-Wan’s pocket.
He pulled it out. “We have to go.” Without another word to Haja, Obi-Wan pulled you away.
“I don’t know how I feel about the name Ben,” you admitted.
“It was the best I could do.”
“Was it?”
Obi-Wan pulled you into a secluded room. He let go of your hand, set down the device and turned it on. Bail appeared in a recorded hologram transmission.
“I know we said no communication, but your silence worries me,” Bail said, his worry evident on his face. “If he’s found you, if he’s learned of the children… If I don’t hear from you soon, I’ll head to Tatooine. Owen will need help with the boy. I pray you’re safe, Obi-Wan. Both of you.”
You noticed the worried look on Obi-Wan’s face as he rubbed his beard. His old habit that you didn’t realize you had missed until now.
“We will get her home,” you told him, trying to reassure him. He nodded, opting to stay silent. “Then you can get back to watching over Luke on Tatooine.”
His brows furrowed as he turned to you. “Are you not coming—“
“Is everything alright?” Tala asked, sensing the room as she came in.
“It will be,” you told her, ignoring Obi-Wan’s look of great concern. He huffed slightly, crossing his arms over his chest as his concern grew.
“You know, I was following orders on Garel. The Empire said it was a roundup. People not paying their way, taxes for the cause. They lied… There were four families, all Force-sensitive, and we… we gather them up. I didn’t know who they were. I didn’t know what the Inquisitors would do. Fourteen people died, and six of them were children, and I couldn’t do anything to help them. So now, I do this.” She lifted her blaster to show tick marks on the barrel. “One for every one I get through.” She placed it back in the holster. “You’re right, Ben. Some things you can’t forget. But you can fight to make them better.”
“We’re in trouble,” Roken said, rushing in. You all quickly followed, feeling the blast against the door shake as you rushed into the hangar. “I don’t know how long it’s gonna hold. We got a plan B here?”
“We’re going to have to slow them down,” Obi-Wan said. “Tell the Inquisitor I want to talk.”
“That we want to talk,” you corrected.
“She started this when she kidnapped Leia. You do not—“
“She came to me before she kidnapped Leia. Trying to get information on how to drag you out because clearly having me in the Empire’s hold wasn’t working.”
“I didn’t know. If I had—“
“I know, Obi-Wan, I know. But she didn’t need to know that… She’s been taunting both of us. We will both speak with her. Besides, I believe I know her.” You looked at Roken. “We will buy as much time as we can.”
You and Obi-Wan walked over to the sealed doors. You could sense the Third Sister on the other side while Obi-Wan placed his hand against the door to do the same.
“If this is you stalling for time, it won’t work,” the Third Sister taunted. “Lord Vader will have you at any cost. Both of you.”
“You mean, Anakin,” Obi-Wan corrected. “You knew who Vader was. Back on Daiyu, how did you know that? Vader would have kept that hidden, and you’re too young to have know him. Unless…”
“Unless you were there,” you said, it finally coming back to you just as Obi-Wan used the Force to sense it from the Third Sister. “You were one of the younglings I once trained… Reva.”
“It doesn’t matter where I was,” Reva retorted.
“The night of Order 66,” Obi-Wan continued, “you were a youngling. That’s how you knew. You saw him.”
“Stop.”
“Anakin killed the others.”
“That’s enough.”
“He killed the other younglings, but somehow you su—“
“Enough! Enough!” You could feel that her memories of that night were replaying in her mind as she grew quiet for a moment. “We thought he was there to help us. I tried to help them, but I couldn’t. I was too weak. When he left, I played dead. Hid with the bodies.” Obi-Wan’s eyes closed. “Felt them go cold... I even saw Y/N arrive at the Temple. I thought she could help but watched Anakin overpower her…” Your eyes shut next as you tried not to relive the memories. “They were the only family I knew, and he slaughtered them.”
“You’re not serving him, are you? You’re hunting him.”
“Let us help you,” you told her, snapping your eyes open.
“Why would I ever trust either of you?”
“Because we want the same thing,” Obi-Wan responded.
“Do we, Obi-Wan? Do you really want Anakin dead?” Obi-Wan’s mouth opened and closed as he tried to form an answer to that question. “Where were you while he was killing my friends? He was your Padawan. Why didn’t you stop him? Why didn’t you save us? I don’t need your help. I don’t need anyone.”
“You won’t stop him alone.”
“You have no idea what I’ve done alone.”
Suddenly, Reva’s red lightsaber was plunged through the door. Obi-Wan barely shoved you out of the way in time. She pushed it down and through the seal on the door. She opened the door next, only to be Force pushed back by both you and Obi-Wan. Reva grunted as she slid back through her lines of stormtroopers and they started firing.
“Fall back to second position!” Obi-Wan ordered.
The two of you ignited your lightsabers and began to deflect the oncoming blasts. Some of the crowd fired back on the storm troopers while the others rushed away, following Obi-Wan’s orders. Reva ordered her troopers to continue forward. The troopers entered the base, allowing you and Obi-Wan to physically cut them down and the crowd ran down the tunnel. You and Obi-Wan were the last ones into the tunnel, rushing down it. You were still weak and tripped over your own two feet. Obi-Wan quickly caught you as he kept running.
“I’ve got you,” he promised. “Come on.”
The two of you turned back when you saw that stormtroopers were closing in. You watched as a woman was shot down, injured. Obi-Wan quickly raced to her side, helping her to safety as you ignited your lightsaber and deflected shots. Tala was beside you, fighting as well. Her droid, NED-B, was in front of you both, firing and physically harming the oncoming troopers.
“Tala!” You screamed as she went down, having been hit in her abdomen. Obi-Wan spun around at your screams, igniting his lightsaber. You knelt beside her as she gasped.
“No!” Obi-Wan shouted.
Troopers began surrounding you, forcing you to fight back. Obi-Wan, busy with other troopers, was unable to get to you or Tala.
“Tala! Y/N! No!” He screamed.
“Go,” Tala urged you. “Get him out of here.”
Panting, you nodded. You fought through the stormtroopers to get back to Obi-Wan’s side. He continued to shout for Tala as he fought to get to her. Tala looked back to see you and Obi-Wan grunting as you swung your sabers. She held up a detonator.
“Go!” She shouted.
“No!” Obi-Wan screamed.
Tala shot at the door panel, closing the door between you, Obi-Wan, and her. “May the Force be with you.”
Obi-Wan pulled you away as the explosion rocked the base’s foundation. He ran with you until he got to the hangar, the doors closing behind you both. He fell to his knees, pulling you down with him, wrapped his arms around you, and held you close. You could feel his grief and quickly hugged him back to let him know he was not alone in it.
“Please, tell me we’re close,” Roken said.
“Leia, you close?” Haja called.
“Working on it!” She responded from the vents.
“She’s working on it.”
Slowly, Obi-Wan stood up, keeping you in his arms. He panted as he looked around, clearly distraught.
“What is it?” Roken asked. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s over,” Obi-Wan breathed out. He looked at you before leaning in and kissing you deeply. “I’m going back.” He let go of you and turned around.
“You can’t quit,” Roken caught Obi-Wan before you could. “I fought for too long. You can’t just throw that away. It won’t make a difference. They want all of us.”
“Vader wants me.”
“If you surrender, she died for nothing. He’ll keep coming.”
“That’s why I have to stop him.”
“Not alone,” you cut in. “If you think I am going to let you go out there and turn yourself in, you are crazy!”
“I cannot lose you again!”
“And you think I can handle losing you?! Especially at the hands of him… at my own brother…”
“Little star…” he stepped back to you, hands coming to rest on your arms.
“You will not do this without me. He is expecting you to surrender. Do it with me at your side.”
“He knows I’ll do everything I can to protect these people… to protect you.”
“That’s why I must come with you.”
Obi-Wan studied your eyes and knew that you were right. He sighed with a nod, kissing your forehead briefly before going over to Haja.
“Haja, look out for her, will you?” Obi-Wan requested, talking about Leia as he handed the man the communication device, his lightsaber, and his blaster. You handed your saber over to him as well.
“You want to tell me how either of you are gonna fight without a weapon?” Roken questioned.
“There are other ways to fight.”
Hand in hand, you and Obi-Wan walked over to the door that Tala had shut. A few civilians followed so that they could shut it quickly behind you. Obi-Wan brought your hand to his lips for a brief kiss before letting it go. Both of you held your hands up in surrender as you walked toward the stormtroopers.
“Seize them,” one of the troopers ordered.
Two troopers came on either side of you. They roughly shoved your arms down and bound your wrists together in front of you. Two stormtroopers escorted either of you out to where Reva was waiting. The troopers behind Reva, quickly aimed at you. Obi-Wan and yourself were stopped when you reached Reva.
“Inform Lord Vader, Kenobi and Y/N are ours,” she said cockily.
Reva nodded and you and Obi-Wan were forced onto your knees. You bit back a groan. Obi-Wan felt the pain, knowing you were still not healed enough, and tightened his signature around yours. The troopers backed away as you and Obi-Wan stoically knelt before the Inquisitor.
“He’s on his way,” Reva stated. “You’re gonna die soon.”
“You’re not bringing him to us,” Obi-Wan whispered. “We are bringing him to you… this isn’t over yet.” Reva came closer to the two of you. You stayed silent while you let the Negotiator do what he was best at. “There are families back there. Children. Are you gonna let him do it again, what he did to you? We could end this together.”
Reve thought a moment before shaking her head slightly. “What makes you think he won’t see it coming?”
“Because all he’ll see is me.”
Reva sighed, turning around as she paced. She motioned for the troopers behind you to escort you both back behind the doors. You and Obi-Wan quickly took care of the stormtroopers that were guarding you. He rushed over to you, checking you over even if nothing really happened to you.
“Are you alright?” He fretted.
“I’m fine, Obi-Wan,” you responded. “Though, I can feel my body growing more tired.”
“We must hurry then.”
Placing an arm around your waist, Obi-Wan held you close to his side as the two of you rushed down the tunnels. You could sense Vader approaching and knew that you were running out of time. When the two of you reached the hangar, you noticed the roof opening and Leia climbing down the ladder.
“Everything’s all set,” Roken told you both.
Obi-Wan nodded, letting you go and hurrying toward the girl. “Leia!” He exclaimed. He got on his knees and the two quickly embraced. You couldn’t stop the tears from coming. “Well done!”
Leia pulled away and looked around. “Where’s Tala?”
Obi-Wan shook his head. Leia sighed before looking at you and coming over. You got down on one knee to be closer to her level. You were surprised when she embraced you and quickly reacted in kind. When she pulled away, you looked at her with slight confusion.
“What was that for?” You asked.
“I feel like I’ve met you before,” Leia stated honestly. “It’s faint, but it’s there.” You looked up at Obi-Wan with glossy eyes before quickly focusing back on the girl. “Are you my real mother?”
“Oh, oh my sweet Leia,” you held her hands, “I wish I was.”
“Did you know her?”
“I did and maybe someday I might be able to tell you about her but right now, we’ve got to go.”
Leia took hold of your hand tightly as you and Obi-Wan guided her to the transport. You could sense Vader’s closeness and knew that time was almost up. You loaded onto the transport and watched nervously out of the window. Darth Vader marched in as a transport took off. You gasped as he seemed to so easily use the Force to prevent the ship from flying away. He forced the engine to shut down and crashed the transport to the ground. Using the Force, Vader tore off the wall, revealing no one inside. The transport you and the others were in, quickly took off before Vader could do anything.
You were leaning heavily against Obi-Wan as you and he sat on one of the benches along the wall. He was worried that if you didn’t receive the proper medical care fast, he could actually lose you this time. The ship shuddered just before Roken came in and quickly sat by the two of you.
“Our hyperdrive is down,” he whispered, “and they’re behind us.”
Obi-Wan looked at you with worry. He would not let anything happen to you or these people on board. Suddenly, you both could feel it in the Force. Something wasn’t right. You gripped onto Obi-Wan as he did the same to steady you.
His silence did not sit well with Roken. “Kenobi, are you listening to me?”
“Something’s wrong,” Obi-Wan stated.
“What is it?” Obi-Wan quickly looked at you and Leia, trying to see if what the Force was telling him had to do with the two of you. “Are you okay?”
“I’m sure it’s nothing,” Obi-Wan brushed it off. “Thank you, Roken.”
You did not believe Obi-Wan as his eyes were still trying to sense out what was happening. The Force was warning you about something, but what was it?

Don't Blame Me
Request: Can I ask for a fluffy fic where reader gets angry because people are blaming her for things she had no fault for and Gabriel is there to hear her rant then he comforts her afterwards when she gets sad, maybe also involving reader being able to see his wings and Gabriel using it to calm her down? (anonymous)
Author: Holly
Warnings: A couple swear words.
Characters: Y/N and Gabriel
Words: 2,425
Y/N = Your Name
A/N: First fic in a while! I hope it makes you smile!
Something in the kitchen behind you broke as it fell courtesy of your thrown plastic cup. Sounded like you’d missed the trash can. Oh, well. The boys could blame you for the mess just like they blamed you for everything else. You were fuming.
Things had been sour since Castiel disappeared. You were reasonably sure whatever crisis, death, amnesia, or temper tantrum the angel was having would resolve itself eventually, because seriously, that angel seemed to have greater staying power than a cockroach. And that wasn’t a slight against Cas – you loved him just as much as the brothers did – but the fact that Dean couldn’t get his head out of his butt without his feathered man friend was making you feel angry at just about everyone. Dean’s agitation bled over to Sam, and with no one else around, they were both taking it out on you.
And you were sick of it.
The latest argument was so incredibly stupid it made you wonder how any of you’d managed to accomplish the things you’d had. Actually, it was so stupid it made you wonder how any of you even had the brain power just to walk across a room. Dean picked a fight with you for taking too long to fill the Impala’s tank when one of your fake cards declined. Though you tried to explain it was the card, and that it must’ve been flagged, Dean couldn’t let it go, and when you raised your voice to defend yourself, Sam took his side. Suddenly it was your fault that law enforcement or a credit bureau could do their job competently once in a while and now they had to pay for gas when it was technically your turn.
At least the one before that had been somewhat explainable. The three of you had, once again, mixed up which ghost was the murderer and which was benign, resulting in two more people nearly dying before you could rectify the mistake and send them both packing. Sam was furious with you for missing the key detail, conveniently forgetting that he and Dean had both missed it, too, and you’d all had equal opportunities to pluck it out and make a comment. You’d been so angry at each other than that you’d slept in the car.
Putting it shortly, you needed a break from them, and they needed a break from their testosterone, but since Cas wasn’t around to stop the bleeding, you thought their castration should probably wait until such a time as he could heal the eunuchs so they wouldn’t blame you for the embarrassing trip to the ER, too. Ugh. And when you suggested they drop you off in Kearney to get some space, they’d been only too willing to leave you at a bus station with a wad of cash and a useless credit card to get the ninety miles back to the bunker. Their excitement and absolute lack of concern for your safe transportation pissed you off the most.
It wasn’t like living with the Winchesters was always a piece of cake. Much as you loved them, they could be a lot to handle. Dean was still dealing with some arrested emotional development, and neither of them were helped by the massive amounts of trauma they both steadfastly refused to unpack. But usually the three of you could balance out. It was rarely so bad you needed to be away from them for more than a few hours to cool your heads. And you always hated when it came to that, because it was always you taking the break, never one of them. When the tension became too much, it always strengthened their bond at the expense of yours, which made you feel even worse. But then, it was no wonder they blamed you for everything. Those two were so damn codependent, when they started blaming each other, they unleashed the literal Apocalypse.
And despite knowing all of this – despite knowing they loved you and would make it up to you in their own ways, and that you hadn’t actually done anything wrong – it really, really hurt, not just to be happily shoved to the side for a while, but also for them to snap under pressure and resort to thinking poorly of you just to handle their own stress.
Now safely back in the bunker, you took a couple of hours to decompress. It was a big, big place, and it felt empty and cavernous without anyone there with you. Still, it was one of the safest places in the world, and over the few short years you’d had it, it had become home. You settled in the chilly library with some music and fixed headphones over your ears to drown out the quiet, white noise whirring of computers and fans.
It was too bad decompression didn’t work faster. Your back was so knotted up from muscle tightness that you could barely get into the music. After a few songs, you ripped the headphones off your head and tossed them behind the couch with an angry groan, right as the ruffling of wings registered in your ears.
The headphones hit something soft and then fell right to the floor. “Cas?” You asked hopefully, sitting up to look over the back of the sofa.
It wasn’t Cas. Gabriel stared down at the headphones blankly for a second before he held out a hand and they sprung back up into his grip. “What a welcome,” he said sarcastically, hooking them over his other arm.
You dropped back onto the couch. “Hey, Gabe,” you said glumly. “It’s not personal.”
Gabriel came and went as he pleased, his exception added to the anti-angel warding that protected the bunker. He, Castiel, and Hannah were the only angels that Team Free Will felt comfortable enough to allow into the bunker at all, although Hannah hadn’t come to Earth in over two years now. Gabriel never said, but you suspected he popped in and out due to a sense of loyalty after everything that had happened with Asmodeus and the way you’d all put your necks out for him. Years ago, when you thought he died fighting Lucifer, you’d grieved for the archangel more out of principle than out of personal loss, but since Ketch brought him to you, silent and bleeding, you’d formed a real relationship.
“Never is, Sugarplum,” the archangel said. The rolling of his eyes was audible. His shadow moved in the room, sliding across the couch and covering the rug on your other side before he dropped his elbows onto the cushions along the back. “What’s gotten into you?”
“Winchesters,” you said simply, knowing that Gabriel would understand better than most how stubborn and pigheaded they could be.
“Ah,” he said, nodding understanding. “No wonder you’re in a bad mood. I hear that’s terminal.”
You snorted and covered your mouth, embarrassed by the crassness. Just because you’d all thought it, didn’t mean you had the nerve to say it out loud – especially not to poor Sam.
“What’d they do this time?” He asked. His wings, hidden from your eyes, made a rustling sound and in between blinks he had moved from behind the couch to the opposite end, shoving your feet out of the way so he could sit.
“Oh, it’s not what they did,” you said in a sarcastic, scathing voice. “It’s what I did. Because, you know, I’m responsible for everything bad that happens, ever.” The subject being brought back up, and having someone who you knew wouldn’t get on you for badmouthing one of the brothers, opened the floodgates and turned off the filter on your mouth, allowing you to rant freely to the trickster angel. “Never mind that they’re the ones who started the Apocalypse and that their unnatural codependency also opened Purgatory, freed the Darkness, and nearly caused at least two other end-of-the-world disasters. I’m the incompetent one.”
Your blood felt like it was boiling. Gabriel had a look on his face that was somewhere between surprised at the size of the can of worms he’d opened and amused at how irritated you were with people that he only respected out of obligation more than actual liking.
“Stickiness on the upholstery?” You continued angrily, moving to sit up straight. “My fault, obviously, never mind that Sam was sitting there. Cut it close on the life-saving? Don’t mind that I did the life-saving to begin with. No more hot water? My bad, I should’ve quit and left the blood in my hair!” That one pissed you off the most because it had been so disgusting, and you’d even said they should shower first since they would be faster. You’d all been tired and hurting, and Sam and Dean kicked you when you were down.
“Those idiots wouldn’t know gratitude if it slammed ‘em in the face,” Gabriel agreed, getting on board with the ranting.
You nodded appreciatively. “Which is wild, because they call me family but really quickly forget when it doesn’t suit them anymore!” That was the part that hurt the most. You were so mad about how much they hurt you emotionally when they ganged up on you. “They never turn on each other when I’m around. Or even on Cas! They just take it all out on me. ‘Cause it’s like no matter how long we’ve been together or how much we’ve gone through, I still won’t be as much family to them as Cas is…”
You trailed off, realizing how your voice had quieted. It was true, you realized. Or, if it wasn’t true, then it was at least how you really felt, and what you really feared. Sam and Dean loved you, but they showed priorities once in a while. And you knew that that shouldn’t cheapen the sense of family that you usually found in their company, but it was a lie to say it didn’t hurt.
Gabriel sensed the tonal change and sat forward while scooting closer up the couch to you. “Hey now,” he said, his voice low and soft. You hadn’t hurt him sound so comforting since the parallel Michael had taken you hostage. “Those bozos would do anything to keep you safe.”
You nodded, unconvinced. They’d move heaven and hell, for sure, but there were lines they wouldn’t cross. Truthfully, you didn’t want them to; you’d rather leave peace behind than come back through violence. But that didn’t change the fact that a little part of you longed to know you were someone’s first priority.
“Heck,” Gabriel said, seeing you weren’t sold and wrapping an arm around your shoulders, “It’s not just them, Sugar. You’re just as much family as anyone else. They’re just morons and can’t figure out how to show it better. But sometimes they come through. Dean said yes to spare your life.”
You nodded reluctantly, shutting your eyes and leaning against the archangel’s warm side. You hated that Dean had given in, but you’d known your safety was a leading cause.
“And Sam faced Luci for you. More than once,” Gabriel added.
You nodded again, wrapping your arms around yourself even as Gabriel turned his body closer to yours, all but holding you. That was true, too. Sam fought his worst fears and put his life in peril to make sure you came home.
As you were folded up in his arms, the air around you started to shimmer right before your eyes. Then the view through them tinted shades of amber and gold, and finally you saw the textures of feathers emerging. In a few seconds, the wings around you were opaque and solid, fully manifested. It wasn’t how his wings really were, but it was as close an approximation as he could show you without your eyes burning out (and that was the best-case scenario). You snuggled closer to his chest as the tops of his wings arched and the distal feathers slanted, overlapping around you and enveloping you in a safe cocoon of angel.
“And Cas literally got exploded keeping you safe,” Gabriel pointed out, then, under his breath, muttered, “Really, though, you’d think after the first two times he’d start avoiding that particular cause of death.”
You made a tiny giggle. It wasn’t funny, except it sort of was. The morbid humor was a necessity in a hunter’s life, and somehow the fact that people died and came back so often had become a punch line in front of everyone except that person’s face. Even you had been resurrected – twice now.
All of it was very true. You were very much a part of Team Free Will, and you were part of the family. You were being treated badly now, and it wasn’t the first time, and you knew that if push ever absolutely came to shove, Dean and Sam would defend each other to the end of their lines. But that didn’t mean you weren’t also cared for and valued. Sometimes they just got their heads stuck in their asses and forgot how to show their care. When you calmed down with time and distance, it was easier to keep in mind that the two of them had buckets of unprocessed PTSD and childhood emotional abuse. Their clinginess to each other was a coping mechanism more than a conscious choice. When they did make deliberate decisions, they never made you feel like an outsider.
“Thanks,” you said after a beat, dropping your cheek onto his shoulder. “That helped a lot.”
“I always do,” he claimed airily. The shifting of his feathers gave away his self-satisfaction. They were beautifully glistening, perfectly dry but sparkling with something powerful and unearthly. “That’s because I’m the smartest of the bunch.”
“I dunno… Who dated Kali again?”
Gabriel dug his fingers into your side, just under your ribs, in a way that almost could’ve been a tickle but was just a touch too hard. The result was an uncomfortable pressure that made you jolt and squirm, yanking yourself away and into the side of his wing. The feathers were firm, refusing to bend, but grazed over your skin as softly as fleece. Gabriel chuckled while you protectively moved your hands to cover your sides.
“Okay, point made,” you squeaked.
“Even if that counted – which I’m not saying it does,” he hastily said, holding his hand up to threaten another jab. “I think it’s cancelled out by being smart enough to stick close to you.”
“Aw,” you cooed, kissing his cheek. “Alright, you can have that one.”

chapter 3
word count: 2631
TW: none
Go figures, I didn’t get much sleep, maybe around 2 hours. I put on my usual outing outfit, a pair of black jeans with a black tank top. I was never one for dressing up, but it’s not like I also had many choices to pick from. I walked out mentally preparing to see all of them but before I could mentally prepare I heard Misa.
“Y/N/N Good morning are you ready to have the best day of your life and see the wonders of being a female!” She grabs my hand and pulls me towards the elevator to head down stairs.
“Surprisingly I am, I guess it would be nice to see what i’ve been missing out on.”
“ Since we’re now friends we can tell each other all our darkest secrets and talk boys! Or girls if you want!”
“Yay fun.”
Once we both made it to the main office, all the men were facing either screens or looking at papers. Once they heard our footsteps they turned around, everyone besides Light and L.
“Hey Light! Y/N/N and I are going to be out all day, so don’t miss me too much! Y/N/N has never had a girls day and I’m going to show her all the pleasures of shopping!” She hugs Light and he squirms in place.
“I don’t think that’s a good ide–” Light is cut off by Misa.
“ Of course it’s a good idea! L don’t you think it’s a good idea for your girlfriend to go shopping!”
“ Y/N/N is not my girlfriend, I don’t particularly want nor have the time for one. But if you must, then please do go, i wouldn’t want to stop you two from bonding.” L not giving much attention to anyone.
Misa lets go of Light and comes to me and pulls my hand and leads me away from everyone and back into the elevator.
—-
We are now walking around going from shop to shop, and i do have to say that shopping is very fun. I don’t think I’ve tried so many different things! Misa was right, dresses are amazing! Of course I love my sweat pants, and leggings for the most part, but I feel a lot more confident and prettier in a dress.
“ Misa, what do you think of this dress?”
“ Y/N/N! I love it! Oh my gosh you need to wear that when we go back! If L didn’t call you his girlfriend before, he will now! Oh how I wish I was like you!”
“ Like me, why? I wish I was more like you! You’re so outgoing, and pretty and you know how to dress and everyone loves you. I’m nothing without my skills.”
“ Are you kidding me! You're so smart and you’re pretty too! Maybe yes I know how to look the part but with these new clothing, and once we get your hair and nails done! And I will teach you how to wear makeup, You will be better than me, just stay away from Light, or I will kill you.”
I turned my head at that statement so quickly, I’m pretty sure I got whiplash. “ you would kill me?”
“Um yeahh, if you start talking to my boyfriend! If you talk to anyone’s boyfriend, the girl will want to kill you. You’ll understand one day!”
“I don’t think I’ll understand, I don’t see myself being with anyone.”
“ Ugh Y/N/N do you not like anyone!”
“ I suppose not.”
“ Not even L?”
“Why do you insist that L and I are together? I hardly know him.”
“ Well I mean you’re always around him, do you not talk with each other?”
“ No, not unless it’s about the case, besides that not really. He’s busy with his own thoughts about the case and I’m too busy analyzing everyone’s actions and patterns.”
“You’re no fun! Light was the same with me, but now he loves me! You just have to keep talking with them! And do whatever they say, that way you can show that you’re faithful to them!”
“I don’t think I want to do whatever someone says, people who are submissive to those all the time means they have no direction in life, or know how to rule their own life. And wouldn’t talking to someone all the time make them annoyed?”
“ Well not if they love you, if they love you they will always want you around!”
“But Light doesn’t always want you around, He always tries to pull himself away, or freezes and never hugs you back when you hug him.. I think you deserve someone better Misa, someone who will want to take you out like you deserve.”
“ Light Loves me, he just has a weird way of expressing it! Imagine Ryuzaki, if you think Light is so bad of a boyfriend, just wait till you see ryuzaki! He would probably accuse you of being kira and your dates with him will be him kidnapping you and talking to you through a speaker.”
With that i laugh, probably one of the loudest laughs i have ever experienced.
“ I guess you’re right! But I’m not really interested.”
“ Not really? So there's a possibility!”
I look at Misa, this has to be the most attention she’s ever given a conversation, not to mention she’s paying attention to every single word I’m saying. If she kept trying and practicing she could end up taking my job.
-4 hours later-
We had finally finished with getting our nails and hair done, both of which were my first time. When I looked at the new me in the mirror, I didn't know how to react.
“ Y/N/N you look amazing! Wow I just know while we’re walking back to headquarters everyone with eyes will be looking at you!”
Misa wasn’t wrong, when as we walked back, i felt everyone looking at me, today was filled with new things. First it was the dresses, my nails and hair, now I have experienced so much attention.
We finally made it inside and I could drop the heavy bags on the floor.
“ Hey guys! I hope you didn’t miss us too much!”
The Task forces all had looked up and Mr.Matsuda was the first to speak as always.
“ WOW- Y/N/N you look so different, you look so beautiful- I mean you were always beautiful, but You look so feminin.. I’m not saying you looked like a guy bef–”
“ Thank you Matsuda, I know what you mean.”
“ That’s what I said Matsuda, doesn’t she look amazing! Come on Ryuzaki, you're not even going to tell her that she looks great?” Misa jumps in speaking to L.
L turns around slowly and looks in my direction, though it was subtle, I noticed that his eyes widened. He doesn’t say anything and just stares at me.. The room gets quiet as the tension in the room becomes worse. Before L turns back around he speaks; “ Yes you look different, I much prefer your old self.”
“Ryuzaki you can’t just tell a girl that! Tell her that she’s beautiful and that she looks nice! This was her first time doing any of this and you ruined it for her!” Misa yells as she stomps towards L’s chair to spin him around.
“ If you don’t tell Y/N/N that she looks pretty, I will Gouge your eyes out so you never see such beauty again, do you understand me?”
“I’m sure Ms. Y/N/N is aware of her own beauty and doesn’t need me saying it. Light, please tell Misa to leave me alone, we have work to do.” He spins back towards the desk without another word.
Light tells Misa to leave and she does with huff, she tells me “ lets go” as she pulls me back towards the elevators. For some reason I felt upset, was it because I hoped L would say something? No. Maybe I’m upset because I think Misa and Matsuda were lying to me, but their tone of voice sounded like they meant it.. They didn’t break eye contact nor did they blink a lot when they spoke, now I’m just overthinking everything. My thoughts are interrupted by Misa speaking.
“ I can’t believe he did that, Ugh i think you should go for Matsuda, he talks too much but at least he appreciates your beauty!”
“ I’m not bothered much by his comment, he’s right, he doesn’t have to tell me about my beauty. As for Matsuda, I will pass. He is very kind but I feel like he’s too gullible for my liking, and again I don't see myself being with anyone.”
The night had finally come to an end, and I was getting ready for bed. Now I’m actually exhausted and think I will actually sleep. I already showered, and put my hair up so i don’t ruin the salon blowout, and washed the new clothing, so i could wear one of the new pairs of pajamas.
Just as I was about to shut the lights off, I saw a small paper slide under my door. I got up quick in hopes to catch the person, but by the time I opened the door my hallway was empty. I pick up the note and read over the words.
“ You looked beautiful. - L”
I read over the note over and over, looking at every letter, seeing how every letter was written trying to see if this was really L, or if it was someone else who was just trying to play with me..
Once I was able to confirm that it was in fact L, based on the note from yesterday. I knew that he could possibly be watching me through the Cameras to see my reaction… So, I threw the note away.
—-
L (POV):
When I saw Y/N I was left speechless. I had never really been left without words, the only times of which that has happened was when there was a sudden change of behavior when Light and Misa were in confinement..
when Misa had mentioned they’d be going out, I just thought it was Y/N way of trying to find something out about Misa. But when I saw her come back a completely different person .. I didn’t know what to say.
For some reason after I saw her, I remembered Matsuda’s reaction. It had annoyed me? Nothing he said was false, but for some reason I didn’t like what he said.. and I can’t put my finger on it..
After Misa had threatened me I thought what I said was good enough. I didn’t call her ugly, Quite the opposite. I said I didn’t need to tell her she’s pretty since I’m sure she’s aware of it.
Once the girls had left, Chief Yagami spoke, “ L I know you don’t have much experience with women. But Misa was correct, you tell them they’re beautiful. Just because we think that they know they’re pretty, doesn’t mean that they actually think they are.”
Mochi jumps in as well: “ I’m not one to diverge from the case, but i agree. Every girl wants to be told she’s beautiful.”
“ yeahhh, especially when they’re like Y/N/N, I would definitely shoot my shot with her, but I think she thinks I’m an idiot.” Matsuda interjects with a blush creeping onto his cheeks.
There it goes again.. this.. this anger or irritation when he talks about her. Is it jealousy, I don’t think so. I’ve never been jealous.
“ she isn’t wrong to think that Mr.Matsuda.”
Matsuda stops and looks at me with a look of discontent.
—-
It’s finally night and I have been staring at the note that I had written for Y/N, debating if I should give it to her. It’s just 3 words.. nothing more or less, yet somehow I’m more nervous than when I speak with important people.
I call Watari to come and pick up the note and instruct him to slide the note under Y/N door. I didn’t need light knowing about this, he’s currently asleep on the chair beside me. So he doesn’t know what the note is even about.
I watch from my laptop as Watari makes it to her room, he slides the note under the door. And Is quick to hide into the shadows. It was seconds after the note was slid under that Y/N opened the door. She looks around as she holds the note in her hand, she finally closes the door and flips the note over .
She looks at it for a while and finally gets another paper.. what is she doing? She looks back and forth between the two papers and that’s when it hits me. She’s trying to see if it’s actually from me. Just as I think she’s going to keep it like the last note, she does the opposite. She throws the note away.
Was I not supposed to say that, did I upset her before and now the note made it worse? Am I supposed to call her or someone beautiful in person and not over paper? Should I speak with her tomorrow, no, it will be awkward. But I’ll need to work with her, maybe if I don’t bring it up she won’t.
What if she brings it up and says she’s mad, what do I say back? Why are women so complicated? I had no problems with any of this until she came along.
Until Elies brings her and decides to ruin my focus. I should be focused on this case and catching Kira, not focusing on if I was wrong in calling a girl beautiful over paper.
… what if she never speaks to me again? Lawliet, stop over thinking this and get back to the case. I will just keep my distance from her, I do not need whatever little emotions to get in the way. If she becomes an issue, she will have to go.
—--
The next day rolled in and I had not gone to sleep, i was too preoccupied by all of the things in front of me. I’m sure that Light is getting fed up with having to always sleep on the chair since I refuse to move from the desk. But this is the only place where I can stay focused.
Y/N came in but hadn’t spoken a word to me besides a good morning and looking over video tapes all morning. I debated if i should speak with her in private but went against that thought and stayed put. We are currently looking at all the files and seeing how the numbers of companies and how Yotsuba’s competitors are somehow dying..
“ Ryuzaki didn’t Chief Yagami mention the last couple of deaths being on Saturday and Friday? It looks like the deaths of many of the competitors happen during the weekends… Offices are usually closed, meaning there is a less likelihood of the police or anyone connecting their death to any prior meetings.. Making the deaths seem random or unrelated. ”
I turned to look at Y/N surprised to see she even addressed me,” Yes that’s true.. I’ll have Watari get us more information on the people who work in the office.”
“ No need to do that, Y/N/N had already asked me to get all of the files on every person in the company. “ Mochi comes in putting the papers between Y/N/N and I
“ Thank you Mr.Mochi, I knew I would be needing this at one point.”
I’m left unsure what to say, she was a step ahead of me, we came to the same assumptions yet, she was faster at it.. What's going on.

In Another Life // Two Ghosts
Aaron Hotchner x y/n
March 2013
It’s current day at the BAU. I’m working at my desk like normal, every so often peeking over at Aaron’s office every few minutes. It’s just comforting knowing that he is so close to me while I work. Spencer, Alex and JJ work at their desks around me. I am very engrossed in my work, but look up when I hear footsteps up to me. I look up and jump in my seat when I see the face in front of me. It’s Haley, with her blonde hair, it was brown the last time I saw her. The last time I saw her laying in a pool of blood…
“Haley,” I blurt out.
“Hi Y/N,” she smiles. She adjusts her bag on her shoulder then looks around the BAU. “Is Aaron in his office?”
“Uh, yeah. Do you need to talk to him about Jack?” I ask, but she laughs at me.
“No,” she says with a crude smile. “I’m here for our date.”
I choke on the air I’m breathing. “D-Date?” I finally get out.
“Of course, a wife has got to keep her husband close,” she says.
“But you two are separated,” I say.
Haley tilts her head at me and pinches her eyebrows. “What are you talking about?”
Based on how things are going I’m scared to say this next part. “But Aaron and I are together,” I say slowly.
Haley looks concerned, then quickly laughs. “Oh I get it. You’re his work wife. Very cute,” she says. “I should get going,” she says, but I get up and follow her.
“No, no, not just that,” I say over her shoulder. She’s walking towards Aaron’s office. “Aaron and I are in a committed relationship.”
Haley ignores me and walks into Aaron’s office with me on her heels. When we walk in Aaron looks up and smiles at me, or at least I think he’s smiling at me. “Hi honey,” Aaron says and I flash him a grateful smile.
“Thank goodness,” I say and walk past Haley to him. Although, once I reach Aaron he gives me a weird look. “Honey, are you okay?”
Aaron chuckles. “Y/L/N, you should probably stick to calling me Hotch.”
“W-What are you talking about?” I ask. But he ignores me and walks up to Haley and kisses her. On the lips. “Aaron,” I snap.
He turns around to face me, clearly annoyed. “Y/L/N, my wife and I could use some time alone,” Aaron says.
“But she’s not your wife. I-I’m your girlfriend!”
Both of them look at me with wild eyes. “Y/L/N, are you feeling alright?” Aaron asks.
“Yes, I’m fine,” I shout. “I know what’s real and I know that you’re my boyfriend.”
“Honey,” Haley hisses. “He will never be yours. He’s mine,” she smiles up at him again and they kiss.
I wake with a jolt, shaking the arms off my waist that previously rested there. I scramble in bed for a moment, but finally go still once I sit against the headboard. I haven’t been very quiet, so the person next to me also sits against the headboard.
“Honey,” Aaron croaks. “Are you alright?”
Oh my God, it’s just like my dream.
“I-I need to go,” I say then throw the cover off me and slip my shoes on.
Aaron chuckles. “Go where? It’s the middle of the night.”
I don’t answer him and just leave the room. I don’t know where to go so I settle on a bench outside the hotel. I wish I brought my jacket. It’s freezing out here and I’m only in a tank top. However, I am sitting by myself for less than five minutes because Aaron comes outside bundled up and holding a blanket for me.
“Thanks,” I grumble as I take the blanket and quickly wrap it around me. He sits down next to me with a long sigh.
“So what’s going on?” he asks.
I open my mouth, but nothing comes out. “I just don’t feel right about this.”
“About what?” he asks.
“This baby,” I say and turn to my boyfriend. His face goes blank as he continues to make eye contact with me. “Aaron?” I snap. He shakes his head and comes back into reality. He reaches out and takes my hands in his.
“Do you not want to have this baby?” Aaron asks and I stay silent. I don’t know what to say. I eye Aaron again carefully. His face is full of concern. I have to tell him what’s been going on.
“Okay,” I hum while placing my palms on my eyes. “I’ve been having some…guilt about the baby.”
Aaron furrows his eyebrows. “What is there to be guilty about?” he asks.
My chest starts to grow tight and tears start to fight their way out of my eyes. After a moment of resisting, I let the tears fall as I gently weep. “Haley,” I murmur.
Aaron wraps me in his arms and holds me against his chest. “What about Haley?” he asks.
“I’ve just been feeling guilty like I am taking over her life. I don’t ever want to replace Haley in Jack’s or your lives, but I don’t know what I am suppose to do. Am I suppose to not marry you and not have babies with you? Am I suppose to not love Jack? I just don’t know anymore Aaron,” I rant. “Then I had this dream where Haley wasn’t acting like herself and saying that she would always have you and you would never be mine. And you were acting like we weren’t together.”
Aaron stays quiet for a few moments, but rubs circles in my back. “You know what I think we should do?” he asks and I look up at him. “We should talk to Haley. Jack and I talk to her occasionally before bed, but it sounds like you need to talk to her too.”
I am a little unsure. What am I suppose to say? But I agree anyway. “Okay,” I say.
“We’ll do it right when we get home,” Aaron says then kisses my forehead.
**********
I got out of the shower just a few minutes ago and am currently brushing out my hair. The whole team just returned from Minnesota a few hours ago. It was nearly dinner time so we picked up some food for the three of us then ate at home. I got in the shower right after dinner because I am beyond exhausted. I am planning on a long, solid sleep.
I open the bathroom door and see Aaron in his pajamas sitting on the edge of the bed. “Are you ready?” he asks.
“For bed, yes,” I laugh then pull back the covers.
“No,” Aaron says then grabs my hand. “To talk to Haley.”
I freeze. I didn’t realize we were still doing that. Maybe it will be a good thing though. I’ll do anything to stop this guilty feeling in my chest. I give my boyfriend’s hand a squeeze then let him lead me into Jack’s room.
There is a candle and a lighter resting on the floor with Jack sitting in front of them. “Jack, Y/N is gonna join us this time to talk to mommy. Is that okay?” Aaron asks.
Jack nods quickly and scoots over. “Thank you buddy,” I whisper as I sit down cross legged in front of the candle with Aaron next to me. Without warning, Jack sits in my lap and lets me wrap my arms around his tiny torso.
Aaron carefully lights the candle then turns to me and Jack. “Hi Mommy,” Jack says and my heart nearly breaks. “At school I am doing a lot of reading and I’m playing a lot of soccer.”
“Tell her how good you are,” Aaron whispers to him.
“I’m really good. I score all the time,” Jack says which causes me to chuckle.
“Hi Haley,” Aaron says. “I miss you and love you. Work is going well, but I know you would tell me that I’m working too hard. I’m spending lots of time with Jack and going to all of his games. I wish you could be here to see him play. And something very exciting is happening. Jack, do you want to tell her?”
“Mommy, I’m getting a little brother-,” Jack exclaims.
“Well we don’t know if it’s a girl or boy yet, but yes, there is going to be a baby,” Aaron says then he pauses and turns to me. “And we brought Y/N here to get some advice from you.”
I give Aaron a small smile then turn to the flickering light. I let out a shaky breath and nervously run my fingers down Jack’s hair. “Hi Haley,” I say. I pause for so long that Aaron finally turns to me. “Is there any chance I could talk to her alone?” I ask quietly.
Aaron nods. “Sure, Jack, let’s give Y/N and Mommy a moment together,” Aaron says then takes Jack’s hand and leads him out of the room. I let out a shaky breath before continuing.
“Hi Haley. I know we never really close while you were here, but I sort of feel like we’re bonded now. You know, both having been Aaron’s girlfriend at one point,” I say with a laugh. “Anyway, I’m sort of struggling. As Aaron said, I’m pregnant, but I’m feeling guilty that I’m stealing your life. You know, it should be you with Aaron and Jack and having Aaron’s second baby, not me,” I say as tears stream down my face. “But the hardest part is that I want to be with Aaron and care for Jack, but I feel like I’m living in your shadow.”
I’m quiet for a moment. “So I guess I’m asking your permission to be with them? Ugh,” I say then bury my face in my hands. “I honestly don’t know what I’m asking. I just don’t want to feel guilty anymore. I want to know that you are okay with me taking care of your husband and your son.”
I focus on the candle. I guess I expect there to be some sign to know that she’s listening, but there’s nothing.
“And I am really trying to keep my promise I made to you, to keep Aaron safe. But as you know, he’s got a mind of his own,” I say. “I want to make a new promise now too. I want to promise that I will love Jack and Aaron with all of my heart and never let them forget how much they are loved. I also want to promise that I won’t let them forget you. I always want you to be a part of our lives.”
Suddenly, the candle blows out on its own. It takes me a second to realize what happened. I stare at the smoke curling into the air and know that must be Haley’s way of saying “okay”.

✾D.K- Two words: fuck, yeah★✶
Master list
Words: 2535
Warnings/kinks: Somnophilia(?), Exhibitionism(?), masturbation, Denki being a perv
Pairing: Kaminari Denki x reader
Summary: a sleepover with the squad, and Denki being horny
===NSFW under the cut===
Even if you didn't admit it aloud, you were glad Mina dragged you into her friend group. Even if you were in a different class, you still hung out with the group a lot. It took awhile to get used to since you didn't really have any friends before UA, even Mina; she was an acquaintance at most. So having four loud dudes, and an over dramatic Ashido, was a little much.
Kirishima was very patient with you, encouraging your social growth. Bakugo just never talked to you, Sero was like Kirishima and made sure to tone down his energy. Jiro was pretty quiet, but you loved listening to her music. And Kaminari on the other hand.. was a lot like Mina. Over-dramatic, loud, and energetic, oh and not to mention flirty.
In fact, the first words he said to you were, "woah, hey there beautiful."
Needless to say, you avoided talking to him as much as possible after that encounter with him, you didn't want to embarrass yourself. But after you saw him flirting with literally everybody, it gave you a bit of reassurance that he wasn't doing it just to you.
Over the course of six months, your bond grew stronger with the group, and you even started talking to Bakugo when he wasn't as moody. You were still flustered around Kaminari, trying to work up the courage to make him flustered.
"Pass the popcorn," Mina said to you, pulling you out of your daze.
"Oh— here," you handed her the bowl of popcorn. Only about half of the group was actually watching the action movie.
It was strange being in a boy's room, especially since you were sat on the bed with Mina. It wasn't too odd because it was Sero's. It was comforting, it always smelt like Rose incense, and the fairy lights gave it character.
"Y/n if you're not gonna pay attention to the movie at least let someone who actually is on the bed," Sero said with a raised brow.
"Sorry," you said, scratching the back of your head. You slid off the bed to switch spots with Sero, and realized that you were now sitting next to Kaminari. Ahaha, great.
"Oh hey cutie," he winked. He knew what he was doing. It gave him confidence that he was making a pretty person like you blush.
"Hey Buzzy," you replied with a nervous side-smile. You heard his breath hitch at the new nickname, something you came up with about a week ago after training.
As the movie progressed, you could feel Kaminari's gaze periodically land on your face. It made you self conscious, so you thew your hoodie hood over your head and pulled the strings tight. You heard a giggle from Kami.
"Well that was a boring ending," Kirishima said as he switched off the TV. "They could've at least left it on a cliffhanger."
"Well let's just get settled in, then," Sero said.
"I'm gonna go back to my dorm now. Thanks for the movie," Jiro said.
"Oh yeah, anytime," Sero replied.
Bakugo had also left for his room about an hour ago, already two hours past his typical bedtime. So it was just you, Sero, Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari. One for the hammock, two for the bed, and two on the floor.
"Who's sleeping on the floor?" Sero asked.
"Not it!" You and Kaminari yelled at the same time, pressing a finger to your nose.
"Not it!"
"Not it!"
"..not it! Shit," said Kirishima.
"Well at least you won't be alone on the floor," Sero shrugged.
"I call the hammock!" Mina yelled, jumping onto the piece of hanging fabric.
...shit.
"Well beautiful," Kaminari said, slinging an arm over your shoulders, "looks like you and I will be talking the bed."
"Yeah," you grumbled. "Let me get changed, one sec."
You grabbed your bag and headed to the bathrooms. Of course. Of course this would happen to you. You had to sleep beside your unofficial crush! Wait— what. You let out a sigh at your self-confirmation, slipping on a white tank-top. Well, if you were going to try and fluster him, now would be the perfect time. You pulled on your silky black pyjama shorts, and took a slow spin in front of the mirror. You quickly fixed up your hair and brushed your teeth.
By the time you got back, everyone had changed into their sleeping clothes and were chatting away.
"Oh, y/n! We were just talking about how—" Mina got cut off.
"—how cool Hanta's twinkle lights are! See, they have three different colour settings," Kaminari interrupted, flicking through the settings.
Sero let out a chuckle as he fluffed out his pillow. You might be a little bit of an idiot, but you knew for a fact that they weren't talking about the lights.
Denki took in your sleep-ware, and his jaw nearly broke off the hinges. How on earth was he going to be able to sleep beside you when you were wearing that. True, your shirt had a few random stains, but did you not notice that you could just barely see your nipples through the white fabric?!
Kirishima gave him a quick nudge as if to say, "good luck, careful what you wish for".
Denki knew he shouldn't, but he really wanted to tell you how nice your nipples were. For once he kept his mouth shut, and crawled into Hanta's bed. You and him got separate blankets, but that wasn't enough to calm Denki down. He was going to be laying next to you, while you were wearing the most unintentionally sexy tank top ever. And those shorts... thank god those would be covered under the sheets.
"Ok, what were you guys actually talking about?" You asked, sitting against the headboard.
"We were talking about how Kami's gonna be sleeping with a girl for the first time!" Mina yelled before Denki had the chance to butt in.
Denki felt his face heat up as you started giggling.
"Lucky me," you chortled. You put your hands behind your head as the conversation continued.
"—yeah Denki, why do you brag about being so experienced, but you've never laid down beside a girl before?" Hanta teased, nudging Denki.
"Well you gotta have confidence! That's what gets all the ladies," Denki crossed his arms and stuck up his nose.
"Yeah? Where's your proof?" Kirishima prodded.
"Ok, fine. It hasn't worked.. yet!" Kami said, loosening his stance.
"Whatever you say, Denki," Mina giggled.
The four of them continued to talk for a while, you occasionally giving input. You were pretty drowsy, and remembered that you had barely any sleep the night before. You began to drift, still sitting against the headboard.
Denki let out a startled squeak as he felt a pressure land on him. You were asleep, head leaning on his shoulder, and he felt your arm slowly wrap around his, "uhh."
"Hahaha! Denki you're so red right now!" Mina laughed, hand on her stomach. He felt his cheeks with his free hand, and he was in fact blushing profusely. He leaned over to look at your sleeping figure, and couldn't help but stare at your chest. Your nipples.. were so.. perfect..
"Hello, earth to Kaminari!" Kirishima slapped Denki's leg.
"Ah— hmm?" Denki said, snapping out of his trance.
"You might wanna put a blanket over yourself," Kirishima nodded to Kami's lap.
"O-oh, right. Sorry," denki stuttered. He hadn't even noticed how hard he was, and since he was wearing sweats it was on full show. He quickly grabbed his blanket, and covered his lap. How awkward..
"Imagine if y/n knew what she was doing to you," Mina teased.
"You wouldn't," Denki gulped. No way would you forgive him if you found out.
"But I would," Mina smirked. "Unless..."
"Oh don't blackmail me, Pinky," Denki pouted.
"I wasn't finished!" Mina giggled. "Unless you grow a pair and take her out on a date."
"I-I can't," He started to panic. What if you said no? He didn't usually care about rejection, but with you..
"You've asked out literally every girl in our class, you shouldn't have a problem confessing to your actual crush," Hanta added.
"Ugh," Denki leaned his head back, "but it's different with y/n. I really like her, and I don't wanna fuck things up."
"Your choice," Mina shrugged with a sly grin.
"I'll think about it," Denki frowned. He was too conflicted to rejoin the conversation.
He felt you slip down his arm, and he tried to readjust you, and ended up with your head in his lap. Fuck, not what he intended to do. It felt so good to have some relief from his hard-on, but trying to restrain himself from jerking his hips up— fuck. He did not want you to wake up to him humping your head. He felt his cheeks get hotter, and took a deep breath.
He later managed to gently push you off of him, and covered you with your own blanket. He really needed to have a quick shower.
"Hmmph..?" You mumbled, gripping onto Denki's arm as he tried to escape. Shit.. so cute..
He sighed quietly, and decided to stay in bed. His erection would go away at some point. It was easy but difficult to sleep at the same time. On one hand, you were cuddling into him, and on the other, you were cuddling into him.
Fuck. Erection did not go away. Denki pulled out his phone and squinted at the time: 4:15am. He was now even harder than he was before, but he was still trapped. In fact, you had managed to sneak under his blanket and fully drape one arm over his torso. Shit, Shit.
Maybe he could just peel your arm away from him and— ah crap. Your thighs gripped his leg; another restriction. Denki could admit that he was really enjoying your attention, awake or not. The thought of your crotch so close to him made Denki whimper. He couldn't just go back to sleep, he would end up having a wet dream and horribly embarrassing himself.
Denki guilty looked over to Hanta's side table at the tissue box. He glanced at you again and took a gulp of air. Fuck, here goes nothing. He reached his free hand, (thankfully you only restricted his left), and pulled out a couple sheets. He laid them beside his hip for later. He slowly slipped his hand under his sweatpants, and began to pump himself.
Denki was scared shitless that you were gonna wake up and freak out. God, he was such a pervert. He focused on your thighs, and how wonderfully they felt clamped around his left leg. Your arm was still on his torso, loosely gripping onto his T-shirt.
He let out a soft sigh at the thought of you gripping his shirt as he kissed you, "a-ah~"
Denki shamefully glanced down at your relaxed face. Oh what he'd do for you to let him cum on your face. He picked up the pace, moving his gaze down to your chest. He let out a soft groan when he saw how hard your nipples were, breasts practically falling out of the tank top. He was getting close. Just a little longer.
"Oh fuck y/n, please," denki whimpered quietly, loving the way you shifted your position slightly, your hand falling down to rest on his stomach. He felt butterflies explode inside him, and he quickly grabbed the tissues and laid them on your arm.
"Hmgh," denki struggled. Your tits.. so close to him.. thighs.. oh fuck! He let spurts of cum land on the tissue, a little missing and landed on your hand.
His chest heaved as he tried to breathe properly again. He carefully folded the tissue and dabbed the drop of semen off your hand. He couldn't see the garbage from here, so he just stuffed it in his bag. He haphazardly put his dick away, and sighed contently. He couldn't believe he just did that. Needless to say, he had a good sleep after that.
You on the other hand, had woken up in the middle of Denki's activity. You weren't totally surprised that he did what he did, but you were surprised that he moaned your name, (and the fact that he basically jizzed on your hand). You couldn't help the heat that beat through your body, making you gently grind Kami's leg.
No, you thought. You aren't gonna do what Buzzy just did.
You had a bit of a restless sleep, waking up about every 30 minutes. When you finally did fully wake up, you realized that you were basically on top of Kaminari. Your left leg sprawled over his pelvis, and your left arm gently holding onto his broad shoulder. Just as you were about to try and get more sleep, you felt Kami stir awake.
"Oh fuck," he whispered groggily, using his left hand to stroke your hair/head.
"Oh hey Denki," Kirishima greeted, giving him a toothy smile.
"Hey," he replied, rubbing his eyes.
"L/n sure looks comfortable," Kiri teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I know," Denki groaned, "she was like this all night. Not that I'm complaining or anything."
"All night?" Kiri asked.
"Yeah, I basically couldn't move."
"Well good luck with that," Kirishima grinned, "I'm going to the gym with Bakugo, tell the others?"
Denki nodded as his friend left the room. You decided now was the time to 'wake up', and you shifted around your weight, "hmm."
"Morning miss cuddle bug," Kaminari said, grinning stupidly as you looked up at his face.
"Good morning," you mumbled, "sorry about that, I kinda latch on to anything in my sleep."
"Don't worry about it, it was nice," Denki blushed.
You peeled you leg off him, as well as your arm, "I'll be right back. Bathroom."
His eyes trailed your ass as you left the room.
"So Denki," Mina popped up, causing him to yell in surprise, "how was sleeping with y/n~?"
"Erm-" he started.
"I know what you did," Mina said evilly.
"W-what?!" Denki jumped out of the bed. "Please don't tell, I'll do anything—!"
"Denki I was kidding!" Mina interrupted. "I don't even wanna know what you did, you big perv."
He gulped nervously, "I-I'm gonna be right back."
Denki sped out of Sero's room, nearly bumping into you down the hall.
"Whoa, what's the rush?" You asked, now in a hoodie.
"Mina— was—," Denki huffed.
"Teasing? Typical," you rolled your eyes, "anyways, I need to ask you something."
Denki got nervous all over again. Ask him what? Why he jerked off last night? "O-ok, shoot."
"Did you know that you're super comfy? Like actually," you continued.
"Oh r-really?" He replied. What a dumb reply, at least say 'so are you' dunce face...
"Mhm! And something else," you licked your lips. "Can we cuddle again sometime?"
Denki practically choked on his saliva, "y-yes! Of course!"
"Cool," you smiled up at him, continuing your way back to Hanta's room.
Two words: fuck, yeah.

hey steph!! i was wondering, what do u think abt the rumours of a s5 of sherlock?? 👀👀👀 i have no idea if it’s true of not, tbh, ive kind of lost hope that there ever WILL be a s5 😂😅
Anonymous asked: Hey Steph :) I was genuinely wondering; Do you think there will be another season? Personally, I don't. Wby?
--------
Anonymous asked: Hi Steph! Well you’ve probably talked about this before, but if you don’t mind answering, do you really believe there’s still a chance for season 5?
I feel like a shitty fan for losing my expectations, but to me the S4 finale (with those scenes of how their life continued and Mary's speech) felt more like a series finale rather than just a season finale.
I know that hope dies last, and of course if tomorrow they announced an S5 my family would have to call an ambulance to stabilize me, but it’s hard to keep the faith when it’s been 5 years without a hint of anything.
Hey Lovelies! *HUGS*
Ooof this seems like something I've been putting aside for too long, hahaha.
I've talked about this in the past several times on these posts:
S5 Posts (Masterlist Apr 2020)
What are your current thoughts about S5
Do you think S5 will happen? (Oct 2020)
Do you still have hopes for an S5 (Nov 2020)
Do You Think S5 Will Happen? (March 2021)
Addressing the S5 Rumours
Did They Confirm a Season 5?
Proof of Mofftiss Baiting Us
What would You like to see in S5?
There's a tonne more, but I think those are the relevant ones to the conversation.
First off, it's okay to both HOPE and LOSE HOPE. It's normal, as long as you – ugh I hate this phrase but it's most descriptive –"manage those expectations"; be HAPPY if it is announced, but don't be a douche if it never is, because like one of y'all said, S4 really had a finale feel to it, and it really felt like they were trying to pitch another show about Mary or James Bond or something. I have a lot more negative, more gossipy thoughts, but I'll omit them from this answer.
Essentially, while I DO hope we'll get one some day, if only to correct whatever the heck S4 was, I DON'T want to give anyone false hopes that it WILL happen. I've worked in media nearly half my life, and EVERYTHING going on is all clickbait and shitposting because we live in an age where likes and clicks are more important than factual news, and until we hear an official announcement from a Studio or Network, we need to just take those nuggets as grain of salt. ALL past seasons WERE announced by the BBC AND Pinewood, THEN by Moffat hours later, THEN by any networks picking it up for international distribution. As I've said in the past, Moffat KNOWS Sherlock The Brand™ gets him clicks and whatever money he wants, so he will tease it until he's bored of it.
A narcissist wins a few Emmys and suddenly he thinks he's god's gift to television.
BUT given the general disinterest in a Season 5 from everyone involved (Ben and Martin nearly cringe every time S4 is brought up), actor schedules being booked right through to 2025 at the EARLIEST, the websites tied to the show have elapsed and expired years ago, I think we won't get anything more than a one-off special again as a 20 year anniversary or something, after the bitter taste of S4 has become a distant memory in the public's eye.
And, personally, I think it's better they leave it be. Yes, I love the show, and would love to see it continue. It was really something special, and one that brought together people in ways I've NEVER seen in any fandom I've been in before. But I think the problem with Sherlock WAS Mofftiss; they got too full of themselves, thought they could do no wrong, and did their experimental "The Mary Show" and James Bond spinoffs with a MAIN SERIES SHOW, destroying everything they had all because they were petty that people guessed their plot lines, so they literally tanked their own show just so they could have a "Shyamalan twist".
Okay, that last bit is pure speculation, but I can't help but feel like that's what it was when they shat on fans, especially Johnlockers, every chance they got.
SO TL;DR, no, I don't think we're getting another season, at least not within the next 2 years. 2026 is the Earliest I guess unless they officially denounce an S5, but 2030 for the 20 year anniversary. That's it.
I'm sorry, all, if that's not what you wanted to hear. I don't think it would be responsible of me to hype it up as happening either, since I certainly don't have any inside information.
Speculate! Theorize! Write stories and meta! HAVE FUN! That's the fandom experience, and staying on that baseline of reality, I've learned, is MUCH better for your mental health. Just don't expect Mofftiss to deliver any time soon. Sherlock tells us always to look at the facts, and the facts show that it ain't happening anytime soon.
BUT I could be wrong, and I'll happily go back to theorizing and speculating more often again. For now, Fandom is where I think is the "level" place to be. You're welcome to this blog if you think a new series will happen tomorrow, just don't shit on people who don't think it is. Post S4 was a goddamned nightmare, let's not repeat that. Fandom should be fun, not draining. <3
#steph replies#s5 shitposting#chatting with nonnies#my thoughts#shitposting steph#sorry if you don't like my answer#false hopes is what tore apart this fandom#i refuse to contribute to it again#if you believe fine#i'm not a gatekeeper of fandom

BOBF chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa
“Well now I am insulted”
“No one respects you” THAT’S WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING
I’m also and genuinely insulted on their behalf they deserve to be respected
Honestly if I have to watch Boba get his ass handed to him by teenagers I might be upset
Oh look it’s the chick everyone was thirsting after in the trailers
Wait okay Boba adopting the street rats okay this I can get behind
Actually this is exactly the sort of “Boba brings justice” vibe I wanted from the start and which we’ve seen in the flashbacks but not in present day yet so I’m feeling super positive!
Baby Bobaaaa
Jango ur such a dick leaving your boy behind all the time
So majestic on his bantha
WAS THAT A PELI MOTTO I SAW
THAT’S DEF A BACKGROUND PELI
Oh god?? NO??
NO
THE TUSKENS
NO WHAT THE FUCK
THE LITTLE ONE??
Y’all I’m gonna cry wtf he looks so sad and I’m so sad it isn’t fair they didn’t deserve that
OH SHIT
FENNEC WHERE ARE YOU
GO BOBA FUCK HIM UP
oh the scrappy teenager
hm
I’m less into this
Like when is Boba not gonna get his ass kicked?
Sharing his bacta tank tho what a good guy
A rancor??
Boba gets his own pet rancor???
Is that? It is! Uncle Machete!
Well. This seems. Bad.
Overall the vibes of this episode feel slightly more serious at least, slightly less quirky wacky, but still a fair bit of wacky
Though Boba yet again getting his ass kicked and needing saving is ugh. Which like is fine, I don’t need him to be a badass unbeatable force, but we clearly saw what he was capable of in TM and I can’t quite decide what they’re going for here
Boba bonding with a rancor is the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever seen help
Boba like “forget a litter I’ve got a rancor”
I hope Uncle Machete isn’t a liar
I really want Boba to have a nice rancor friend
Holy shit y’all this is so fucking cute I’m dying
These street rat kids have some very nice speeders, so much color
Anyway Fennec is my wife
A Mos Espa low speed speeder chase huh
I take it back the colors are making me think of Power Rangers and seriously they look like they’re moving at a pace slightly faster than a brisk jog
I take back what I said, the vibes are strange again
The Pykes again, okay
Okay seriously you could WALK faster than these speeders
Oh wait so the Pykes are who are taking over okay I get it
IM STILL SO FUCKING SAD ABOUT THE TUSKENS Y’ALL
Like seriously what the fuck that was my necessary at all
That aside though, and my mild disinterest in the punk rock young adults with their space mopeds, a good episode
Not enough Tusken stuff though and now I don’t know if we’ll ever get more Tusken stuff and I’m very upset about it
I lied it wasn’t a good episode I’m done being positive when it’s just! So! Frustratingly not good!!

I am the Alpa Now part 1
Bakugo X Reader
Words: 2808
Reader is from America and somewhat of a delinquent with an alpha quirk that allows her to turn into a wolf as well as bond with dogs. She is sent to UA to straighten out her attitude. She ends up in a power struggle with none other than our favorite hot head. Words in Italics are words said telepathically
*****************************************************************************************************
Don’t do the crime if you can't do the time... That was what my stubborn, hard ass, police chief father told me before shipping me off to some stupid school across the world.
What was my crime you may ask? I was my small towns vigilante for over a year. Sure I may have not respected law enforcement during that time, or public property for that matter, but I never took it too far. Or at least in my humble opinion I didn’t. But apparently the mayor and my father did not agree. The final straw was when I left mugger tied up in front of the police station with a note to the police asking them to do their fucking job. Sure that note may have been graffitied on the side of the building but I think I got my point across.
So that brings us to my time... which I will be spending as some school called UA in Japan. My dad knew one of the teachers there and they agreed it would be the best thing for me. Teach me some discipline and respect or whatever. So here I am on an airplane leaving the only world I’ve ever known behind. Sure Georgia wasn’t much but it was home.
*****************************************************************************************************
You wouldn't be totally alone though. Due to your Alpha quirk you were allowed to bring your wolf-dog Mercy. You yourself could turn into a wolf about the size of a small horse and as durable as a tank, and you could also establish your alpha dominance over other dogs and in some special cases you could bond with them and add them to your pack. So far you've only managed to add Mercy but it was an amazing bond you wouldn't trade for anything. The bond allowed you to telepathically communicate with him and the longer you were bonded the smarter he got. He was basically thinking full sentences now. He was also getting faster and stronger, it was like part of your quirk was rubbing off on him.
You were anxious as hell knowing he was in a kennel in the cargo area of the plane. You knew he was okay though. You could feel his presence, but it did nothing for your nerves. You just wanted to land already and give him a big squishy hug.
Somehow you managed to fall asleep and when you woke up you were in a different country. You knew only a small amount of Japanese and you didn’t know anything about the culture... Here goes nothing.
You were picked up at the airport by a fancy looking SUV. The man driving didn’t look at all pleased with the fact that Mercy would be riding in the car with you.
“Why does this man stare at me?” Mercy made sure to stay in between me and the driver as my luggage was loaded into the car.
I gave him a quick scratch behind his ears to try and calm him down. “Easy Mercy. He’s nice. I just don’t think he wants you to shed all over his nice black leather seats”
Huffing he jumped into the backseat of the SUV, “It’s not like I have fleas…and I took a bath before we left!”
You giggled at your beta buddy and hopped in behind him, ignoring the confused look of the driver. He must think you’re crazy laughing at nothing. But then again you were used to that. You didn’t always remember to speak to Mercy telepathically and you had to admit you looked crazy having a one-sided conversation with a dog.
You marveled at the passing town through the window. You definitely were not in Georgia anymore.
When you arrived at the school it was already a little after midnight, but you were nowhere even close to being tired. The car pulled up to the front gate and you could see a few figures out there waiting for you. You were from the south and you were used to good ole southern hospitality, but you couldn’t believe they were up past midnight just to help you with your things.
The driver got out and started unloading your belongings from the trunk as you took a deep breath and opened up the google translator app on your phone. “Alright y/n you can do this. You’re a badass bitch who takes no shit from no body. You are smart, you strong, you can do anything…”
“Oi! You fucking done talking to yourself?”
Your head whipped up to see that a spikey haired blonde had opened the passenger door in the front and was staring at you. You sighed and returned your phone to your pocket, “Oh thank god you speak English!”
His red eyed narrowed, “Yeah unfortunately I have the highest scores in English so I’m the one stuck with you for however long it takes you to catch up.”
Mercy started to growl sensing this new guys hostility. I snapped my fingers, “Hey. Calm down! He’s a friend. He’s obviously an asshole but he’s our new friend.”
Mercy continued to growl low in his throat, “No. I am your friend. I don’t like him. He is not our friend.”
You snorted, “I can have more than one friend dumbass. Now chill the fuck out.”
The new guy was now glaring at you. His red eyes tried so hard to look mad, but you could see a hint of curiosity in there. “Oh great she fucking talks to dogs… Let’s go! The rest of the welcome wagon extras are ready to piss themselves they are so excited.” He started to walk away but he gave you one last glance, “And tell your mutt to stop fucking staring at me like I’m dinner.”
“WHO IS HE CALLING MUTT!”
You just laughed at your dog as you made your way out of the car and grabbed your backpack. Mercy followed and took his place at your heels. You walked up to the smiling group of students waiting at the front of the building that looked the most like dorms.
A green headed boy with a huge smile walked up and bowed, “Hello my name is Midoriya. Welcome to UA! This is Iida, our class rep, and of course you’ve already met your guide Bakugo.
You smirked so weird guy’s name was Bakugo, “Nice to meet all of you. My name is Y/n, and this here is my beta Mercy. He’s part of my pack and he’s very sweet unless you give him a reason not to be.”
“Tch.. yeah right. Dumbass dog growled at me.” Bakugo’s eyes narrowed.
Iida sighed, “Well Bakugo I’m sure you probably gave him a reason to then.”
Midoriya leaned over and picked up one of your bags that actually held all of Mercy’s things. “So Y/n, what did you mean when you said he was your beta?”
You took the bag from him and strapped it to Mercy. “He actually likes to carry his own bags. But yeah so back to your question. I’m the alpha which makes him the beta… and well… I guess it’s just easier to show you.”
Your eyes started to glow blue and then you shifted into your wolf form. You absolutely loved being in your wolf form. You always felt so powerful and free. Like you could do anything, like you had no limits or rules to follow. Your senses were naturally better than most peoples but in your wolf form they were heightened even more. At this moment in time you could hear the thudding heartbeats of the people before you. You could see the beads of sweat dripping down Midoriya’s forehead. You could smell what you could only describe as excitement coming from someone.
Bakugo was the only one who looked unimpressed, so you walked up to him. Your eyes being level with his. Your large electric blue eyes staring right into his scarlet ones. You took a step closer sniffing him and just when you could sense he couldn’t possibly be more annoyed.. you went and give him a nice big lick from chin to forehead.
“Ugh! That’s disgusting! What the fuck!” He was frantically whipping his face with the sleeve of his shirt and shooting daggers at you the whole time.
“Y/n why do you kiss the angry boy! I don’t like him!” Mercy huffed and shook his head.
You shifted back into your human form laughing the whole time. “I’m sorry but you should have seen your face. I just had to!” Your nose scrunched up at the smell of something really sweet. Almost sickeningly so. You sniffed until it led you to Bakugo’s palms. “What’s that smell?” You covered you nose to stop to awful smell from invading your nostrils and further.
Bakugo smirked as his hands crackled with mini explosions, “Well if were showing off our quirks the-.”
“Kachan stop! There will be plenty of time for that tomorrow… Sorry Y/n as you can see he has a short fuse.” Midoriya was rubbing the back of his neck now, “But he’s not so bad once you get to know him I promise.” He gestured to the dorms, “Shall we show you to your room?”
You nodded and attempted to pick up what was left of your bags. It wasn’t easy though and soon enough you were starting to drop stuff. You were about to stop to rearrange how you were carrying everything when Bakugo strolled up next to you and took two of your bags, “Shit did you have to bring everything you own?”
Before you could respond he was storming off ahead of you.
“Just give me the signal and I’ll bite him.” Mercy tight on your heels, taking in all the new surroundings. You knew he was fighting the urge to pee on every bush you passed. He may be smarter than most dogs, but he still had those territorial instincts.
“Mercy we got sent here because we apparently need to learn how to behave… I don’t think biting someone on our first day is a great idea…”
“He started it!”
You just chuckled as you followed your new friends into the building and down a few halls. First floor, very nice.
Bakugo threw you bags down in front of a door and immediately stalked off to the room next door and slammed the door behind him. Great so he was your neighbor too….
Midoriya gave you a shy smile, “So usually the girls sleep on a different floor. But given the fact that your quirk means you have an animal we thought it would be smart to put you next to Koda. His quirk is talking to animals so he always has a few pets. So he’s your neighbor to the left. And ah .. Kachan is your guide for the next few weeks so it makes sense that you would be close to him so he’s your neighbor to the right. If this makes you uncomfortable though we can always find you a new room!”
You waived him off, “I’m fine! I don’t scare easy. Thanks for all the help! I can take it from here. I guess I’ll see you all in the morning?”
Iida bowed, “Yes. Bakugo should come collect you no later than 7 am to escort you to class. Your uniform should already be hanging in your closet. Good night.”
You gave a quick awkward bow, “g’night y’all”
You could hear Midoriya giggling about how you had actually said y’all as you closed the door. He seemed like a sweet guy, a little goofy maybe, but sweet. Bakugo on the other hand… You couldn’t wait to fuck with him. He just seemed so tense and you felt like you could quite literally make him explode.
Your room was pretty sparse save for a bed, nightstand, desk, and a lamp. You could work with this. A few posters and pictures from home. Maybe a cool rug… you were happy you didn’t have to share with anyone though. By nature you were a night owl. You preferred several small naps throughout the day then a whole nights sleep. You were always just so restless to sleep for too long.
You unpacked Mercy’s things first and gave him a quick snack. You put the bed he almost never used at the foot of your bed. You knew he would just end up in his usual spot curled up next to you. He didn’t have many toys but he did have lots of bones to chew on. He only had one single stuffed toy. It was an elephant that he had gotten when he was a puppy and he was a little protective of it. You threw the stuffed elephant on your new bed and sighed. The rest of your shit could wait until tomorrow.
Mercy hopped onto the bed and curled up around his elephant and yawned, “If we’re not going for a run tonight then I’m going to go to bed.”
You looked at your phone and saw it was a little past one in the morning. Bakugo would be here to “collect you” in less than six hours. Usually you’d try and scope the perimeter before sleeping anywhere but you figured this place was probably one of the most secure places you’ve ever been, and you also had no idea what kind of day you had in store tomorrow.
“Yeah bud, I think a good night sleep is probably best. I don’t know if we’ll get a chance to nap tomorrow.”
Mercy started to wine, “Noooooo I need my naps.”
Well no one said you can’t nap. You’re not the one who’s actually going to be in class.”
“Wait you’re taking me with you right? To class?”
You frowned and climbed into bed next to him, “Yeah I don’t know. They never got back to me on if you could go to class. They said you were welcome during training sessions though…”
Mercy wined again obviously stressed out, “That’s not fair! I want to learn too! I don’t want you to leave me! We just got here, what if something bad happens. Nooooooooo”
The end of his sentence resulted in a howl. Shit. “Mercy shut up! You’re going to get us in trouble. They’re going to kick us out if you start waking people up in the middle of the fucking night!”
But of course, he wasn’t listening. He just continued to howl, throwing a temper tantrum just like a toddler would.
You huffed in irritation and your eyes started to glow. You used your alpha voice, “I said Stop….”
His howl immediately stopped and his head bowed to show his submission, “I’m sorry…. I am a good boy. I’ll stop now.”
You gave his head a quick pat before pulling the blanket up to your chin. “It’s okay buddy. I know the first few days are going to be a little stressful.” You reached over and turned the lamp off. “See you in the morning. Try to get some sleep.”
You felt Mercy move his massive furry head to lay on your stomach, “Hey… please don’t be mad…. But I kind of need to pee.”
You rolled your eyes and threw off the blanket, “Of fucking course you do. You have the smallest fucking bladder for how big a dog you are.”
“Wolf”
“Whatever let’s just go.”
You opened your door just to be met with the angry glare of your neighbor, “Are you going to fucking talk to dog all night? These walls are thin!”
You stared at him for a minute before cracking a smile and patted his head, “Is it past someone’s bed time?”
Flustered Bakugo took a step closer, “Tch what? No? You and your stupid dog are just really fucking loud!”
“WOLF! I AM A WOLF!”
You nodded in acknowledgment to Mercy and returned you attention to Bakugo, “Wolf.”
He sneered, “Excuse me, what?”
You shrugged, “He’s a wolf. You called him a dog and he’s a wolf and I think you should apologize.”
His eyes bugged out of his head, “I’m not apologizing to a fucking DOG!”
Mercy started to growl so low it was almost a hum. You could tell he was nervous but also a little amused. “Tell him if he doesn’t get out of my way I will pee on him.”
You started laughing which pissed Bakugo off even more, “OI! What’s so funny!”
You thumped him on the nose, which is something you usually did when training dogs. Nothing hard just a light thump. “He said he needs to pee and you look an awful lot like a tree.”
“Ugh you disgusting excuse for a woman! No fucking manors!” He stomped off back to his room slamming his door for the second time that night.

Embers Chapter 9: Reality
Mortal Kombat 2021
Liu Kang x Reader | Eventual Kung Lao x Reader
Summary: You have some time with your sister. With Liu Kang around it's easier to see what's wrong at home. Maybe he'll give you the strength to find change.
A/N: Hey guys, sorry my description and such have been short and such, I'd been super busy for some time there. Still loving writing these stories, they get me through the day and if they bring anyone else even a little joy then I'm glad I shared them! Love you. Happy Holidays <3
First Chapter << Previous Chapter Next Chapter >> Chapter Index Ashes
There was time between classes so you tended to the store and tried not to dwell on your morning with Liu Kang. Like that was easy or something. He’d made a class you’d already enjoyed that much better. It was easy to make jokes with him. You felt lighter and took yourself less seriously. And your students had adored him. Like he could get more attractive at this point. He hadn’t been afraid to interact with them like so many avoided when visiting your dojo.
You leaned your chin in your hand, arm on the counter. Snap out of it! This was ridiculous! Swooning over him like you were some lovesick schoolchild. Not you. Had you trauma bonded through this whole thing? What was going on in your head? His gaze was tangible even from across the room. His smile was addictive. You fanned your face.
Try to ignore it, you coached yourself.
Ugh, how?
“Snap out of it, Y/N.” You teased yourself. On the hour you locked up the shop, grabbed your water bottle and then sat on the porch in front of the dojo. It was a nice day. Not too cold and not too hot. Usually the humidity was unbearable. Gray clouds were rolling in over the mountains. You loved the rain. It brought you joy. There were very few things that brought you complete peace and rain was one of them.
Jun caught your gaze from down the road and offered a wave. Your mood tanked. You tried to remind yourself to have patience for your sister. You returned the wave. It was funny. With Liu Kang around, you had been reminded just how unfortunate your relationships with the people in town were. Especially with your family. It was the first time you considered that it was abusive. You hated that thought. You were not a victim.
“I thought you said that there wasn’t anything going on with the monk!” Jun took your water bottle from next to you and stole a drink from it. You didn’t really want it anymore.
“Is that why you’re here? To harass me about the monk?”
“You never have fun things to talk about. Your gossip around town always sucks.”
“Tell me about it.” You rolled your eyes. “But nothing is going on with the monk.” You couldn’t help but laugh. There was, in fact, plenty going on with the monk. In your head there were many, many inappropriate un-monk-like things happening with him.
“Really? Because your students are gushing over him. It’s all the kids are talking about.”
“Kids exaggerate. You know that.”
“Y/N, come on… the stories they’re telling…”
“Is this a lecture? I’m having a hard time understanding your tone.”
“Of course it’s a lecture! He’s a monk! What are you thinking? Maybe mom was right to try and set you up constantly. Your taste in men is dreadful.”
“First of all, you’ve never met any other man I’ve willingly dated. Second of all, it’s no one’s business what’s going on with the monk. Which is nothing.”
“Mom would have hated this. Dad was right.”
“Don’t start with me on that.” You were in no mood. You didn’t need to justify your romantic relationships to anyone. “Besides, mom hated everything I did, remember? Everything! She hated me.”
“That’s not true. She liked your cooking pretty okay.” A poor attempt at a joke.
“The only thing that would have made mom happy was if I had married a man that she set me up with who took me far, far away from here and made me miserable until I died. Or if I had disappeared. She probably would have loved that too.” You were under no delusions about your relationship with your mother. “Nothing I ever did was going to make her happy. Or dad, for that matter. I stopped trying. So I focused on making myself happy instead.”
“Mom loved you.” Jun rested a sympathetic hand on your arm. You nodded. That was what Jun wanted from you. But why were you still pretending? Why was Jun pretending? Mom had loved her. You knew the truth.
“No.” You refused the bottle of water when Jun offered it back to you. “I don’t think she did, Jun.”
“Y/N! Come on! She did.”
“Maybe when I was very little but… after I got sick? No. No there was no more love from mom or dad after that. There were plenty of other strong emotions but not a one of them was love.” You rarely had difficult conversations with anyone in town. It was easier to just keep your head down. But with Liu around, you felt brave. You weren’t sure why. You were tired of being complacent to be the town scapegoat. Something about him had made him realize you were living half a life. Maybe it wasn’t Liu. Maybe being attacked had done it. Whatever it was, you felt courageous and dangerous. “Sometimes I wonder what I did wrong. They love you so much. Did they just not… have any love left after that?”
“It’s not true, Y/N. They love you.” Jun seemed sad, like she genuinely believed that. How did Jun feel about all of this? It had to be difficult. There were moments where she felt genuine, like she really wanted you to be happy. But then she flipped heads and became someone else, someone who reminded you very much of mom. Jun was also all you had with the exception of Liu. And that was complicated and new.
“No.” You weren’t going to fold. Not this time. “They don’t. They didn’t. Jun, I’m not going to pretend. They told me as much. You have no idea how many times mom told me the only reason she didn’t kick me to the streets was because of grandma or you. And dad? He didn’t have to say it. I see how he looks at you and your daughter. He loves you. He resents me.” You exhaled and felt weighed down. “I gave up on their love a long time ago. And their approval long before that.”
Jun didn’t argue with you. She looked sad and it made you feel guilty for bringing it up. But no one felt guilty when the tables were turned, when you were being blamed for things that you had no hand in. You felt suddenly drained.
“Well, I love you.” Jun smiled hopefully.
“I know.” You nudged her shoulder with a smile. Jun did love you but that love had a long list of terms and condition that followed. Jun gave love freely when it was easy to. When it was hard? She was just like everyone else. But it was all you’d had for years especially once grandma had passed away. You kept thinking that. Jun was all you had. Was that really a reason to accept unacceptable behavior? Maybe it wasn’t. Maybe blood wasn’t enough.
“Do you resent me?” It was Jun’s turn to sound reflective. “For being so loved and adored when you aren’t?”
“Of course not.” That was an easy one. You didn’t have to lie for that.
“What? Why not? I’d resent you if the tables were turned. Sometimes I get angry just… knowing what’s happened.” Not angry enough to do anything about it, but at least Jun knew something was wrong. Sometimes you forgot that this wasn’t a normal way to live.
“Mom and dad’s behavior is on them. What people in town do? That’s on them. I’ll only resent you for the things you did.” You teased but you definitely resented your sister at times. But for being loved? No. You were glad for Jun. Ultimately, you loved your sister. You wanted her and her family to be happy and healthy. “You’ve tried with mom and dad. I appreciate that. Don’t carry their sins on your back.”
Jun hugged you with one arm. You didn’t return it. You felt too distant. Jun had moments where she was just like everyone else in town. When things became difficult, you were the cause of her misery. But then you had moments like this where it felt like you had a real sister. You knew it was a temporary feeling.
“I don’t care what mom would think of it. I don’t even care what this monk is really like.” Jun sniffled and wiped your eyes. Guilt. Again. It was obvious that Jun cared about you. The conflict in her head must have been confusing. “You should have fun with him. Get laid. Don’t die a virgin.”
“Wow, that’s quite the turn. It’s like whiplash with you the last few days.”
“You were right. Dad got in my head. I want you to have fun.”
“I have fun. And I haven’t been a virgin since I was seventeen, so…” You laughed when Jun gasped in horror. “And what happens in my dojo when I’m alone is no one’s business but my own. But… there is still nothing going on.” You were lying. There was plenty going on with the monk and you could not blame people for noticing because the tension felt tangible. Sometimes it felt like there were flashing lights surrounding Liu Kang telling you to climb him.
“Y/N! Seriously? What? How?” Jun was swatting your arm on repeat and you were incredibly grateful Jun wasn’t on your other side or you’d never be able to hide your wound.
“Come on, Jun, don’t be naïve. I used to sneak into the city and go to clubs and concerts all the time. I met people that way. People who didn’t treat me like the people here. I dated and got around a little, alright? Nothing crazy but… when I couldn’t control anything here, I went and did things I could control.” It was true. But it seemed that crazy people were attracted to you. Like something about you invited controlling, manipulative people into your life.
Jun laughed and covered her mouth to hide her genuine surprise. “Wow, Y/N. I never would have suspected.”
“Some people get frustrated by their lack of control and turn to drugs or hurt themselves. I went and had some fun and focused on fighting. Could have been worse.”
“Do you still do that?”
“No, no. Of course not.” You sighed. It’d been over a year since you’d gone to the city for anything other than business. You’d had a few friends there but they’d turned out to be the kind of friends born from convenience. When you got in over your head with your last boyfriend, you’d cut the behavior out like a bad habit. Then those friends had ignored your calls. You were okay with that, with time.
“Wow, a whole new side of you.”
“I don’t think anyone here really knows me.” You thought that your students knew you better than anyone else. Even then, they knew you as a teacher, not as a person. You cared about them but were careful to keep the lines between teacher and friend bold. You were there to help them and care for them.
“That’s sad.”
You shrugged and said nothing else about it. There was no point. Jun was sad but whatever. What a bummer of an afternoon in comparison to the insane morning you’d had. Just thinking about it gave you a little thrill.
“I have class then dinner. I should go.” You dusted yourself off and hopped to your feet. “They’ll be here any minute.” It was true. The students were usually there early to chat.
“That’s my cue. See you soon.” Jun stood and took the water bottle with her when she left. You watched her leave and tried to shake the sorrow. It was hard. You’d pretended for too long that none of this bothered you but Liu was right. You hated this place. Why did you stay? Your job? Your students? You could do this anywhere.
But you were scared.
Change was difficult. Starting over was too.
Thinking about your relationship with your parents followed immediately by how destructive you’d been to deal with it was making your head spin. You’d been so stupid for so many years. You were lucky that you hadn’t wound up dead in a ditch somewhere. Drinking and making bad decisions, hanging out with dangerous people.
Maybe you should tell Liu you’d go with him. Pack a small bag and never look back. You’d be happier anywhere else. At the very least you wouldn’t have to carry anyone else’s burdens. Some days it felt like you were covered in chains, dragging the baggage of an entire town behind you.
But then your students showed up for your next class and the weight lifted.

(captions~) Heh, I caught a long dialogue from Del, and then Raymond asked to come over, so that continues below~
Also, a friend sent over more bags I’m missing, so I changed the Idle-Tool to the blue electrics-store bag, since it fits the pallet of the outfit~
pic 1: I got sent some new bags from friends, and this fits this outfit more! (pallet-wise) pic 2: "Yeah, you're telling me," Croissant sighed. pic 4: "I... think it’s just for people with solid floors, like yours,” Croissant pointed out, but Del needed to get this point he thought up last night out of his head. pic 5: 'What about hitting stone...?' Croissant thought. pic 8: "Oh yeah, I've had that a bunch!" Croissant chuckled. pic 9: "Uh-really? Sure!" Croissant smiled, glad to finally give Raymond the tour.
“What, a shirt that says ‘first time we smooched at Croissant’s house’?” Croissant joked. “I-I wasn’t thinking about smooching!’ Raymond scrambled.
It was the Kizuna/Bond one, aww~
This was just because I realized I hadn’t tried this shirt on yet to see how far the bracelets were separated from the sleeves, and... It’s like he’s wearing them at the halfway point between his wrist and elbow, lol.
I just found it funny that he brought up his zodiac when talking about a zodiac item that didn’t match his zodiac, lol.
Croissant was worrying about Raymond investigating his computer, so, naturally, Raymond hopped right onto the chair and investigated it... Ugh.
‘...At least he didn’t turn it on,’ Croissant thought to himself as his corgi came to join them and investigate his owner’s partner.
...Huh?
Does it just keep delaying if I don’t go? Weird.
Naomi had two new shirts for me this time, though! A pink cut-and-sew tank and a green neon dj kk shirt~ I had to push Sparro out of the way, heh!
Oh, the final Resident that has a human partner!
Explanation: When I got back to Wild World after a huge hiatus I repurposed the original Skye character to a character somewhat like Robo from Fairies (semi-emotionless)? Anyway, Dotty and Ruby moved in back-to-back, I imagined them as a couple, but then Dotty started being mean, yadda yadda I made her leave and Ruby and Skye started dating, and Skye winded up being the first asexual lesbian OC I made.
I wasn’t as serious into shipping those two as Tattle and his two canon boyfriends, though.
I didn’t know you could do this!
wurf, aw
I never saw the back of the dj kk shirts yet! And these two girls unlock a wallpaper I’m looking for in nook’s cranny...
Yeah, I got bad friendship...

(Ugh, I'm sorry, Au mas, my beloved. But I have strong urges to share shit)
The Brave Au (and it's not angst this time!)
Ghosty's time with the Braves has helped her come out of her shell over time. She's more honest with her emotions. She said things should and should not please everyone (even if some days are more complex than others). However, she's still trying to get over her anxiety attacks when it comes to higher-ups getting angry. It's a big hurdle for her to overcome. Luckily no one is that mean to her when a prank war happens. It's heart-wrenching to see this robot coming comfortable with herself and everyone, alone by herself in the room, shaking uncontrollably with pure terror and anxiety, trying to fix something desperately before a perceived blow-up happens. It takes her time to calm down after that, even if everyone takes her to a quiet place and assures her it's alright, but she looks so emotionally drained. The team couldn't imagine how bad it was for her to be around Wolfbitch, as her creation, but when witnessing her having a breakdown-- that fills in some blanks. Anyone who attempts to hurt Ghostwire like that deliberately will earn everyone's hatred and disrespect.
The girls and her get along nicely, of course. It's nice that she and the others can have some bonding time. As Ghostwire realized not all women were like Wolfbitch(Evermore), the girls enjoyed seeing a new perspective with a female super AI. So it's enjoyable when they want girl time. And maybe Ghostwrite uses the information to get back at some of the guys. Watch out, boys~!
The day she discovered plush toys and aquariums is both the team's entertainment and headache. As she will kick somebody's shin if they try to take the plush away or tease her about it, and the other one is, she will try to dunk her head in the SALT water tank cause the sharks to look so cool! They still support her interests, despite being weird about it.
Her expertise during the job is undercover stings, like Shadowmaru's job but less secret spy stuff and more, surviving the area and finding out the remote locations in public places. Then she comes back and complies with the information with the team, but mostly Shadowmaru, given their jobs overlap with each other the most.
Then, of course, with her strength, she mainly helps with training, and sparing with the others, despite most times they'll end up being head-locked, but this is helpful for the braves. It helps find out some places that needed some repairs, testing out new techniques, entertainment, and burn out extra energy/anger. Then there's interrogation, but she prefers that as a last resort (stays the hell from that same room if humanly possible); she always feels unnerved with how her temperament turns cold, calculating-- and emotionless.
Sometimes Drillboy uses Ghostwire as a shield from Powerjoe and Gunmax if they're about to do mean big brother things to him. Those two have learned early that it's best to leave him when he takes cover behind Ghostwire or become a temporary wall decoration. Drillboy taught this trick to Bishop later on.
Polaris and Oberon are in this verse, but they're organic. Cause I thought that super cute that an AI adopts some cute cats. Of course, the humans would help, btw. (This alone is super cute that I want to delve into this later on). And yes, Polaris is still that bad bitch; she will put others in their place except for Ghostwire and her baby. Even ancient spirits, Zonders, Gods, and everything between will shake in fear before this 8-pound black cat with cute white round eyebrows. I'll let you guys think of who Polaris hates the most. Amuse me.
Ghostwire, having a different chip and system to keep her memory and said super chip running from the rest of the braves, is easily more resistant to virus or what makes her team vulnerable, brain cells included. But it's a double-edged sword. Her resilience makes it more challenging for her to get diagnosed. She can't combine into a more prominent form/trump card. Tune-ups take some patience and experienced workers needed for repairs than the rest. So her repairs or check-ups take longer not to cause more irreversible harm to her.
It might lead to the discovery of Fedelis and Flow thanks to one part that's desperately needed a replacement, or she's stuck in the short form for a year. For this plot thingy for the truth of Phantasma along with Fedelis and Flow, that would be angst with a fluff ending kind of thread; as well established, Ghostwire does not like looking back in her past: out of fear it will not give her closer or peace. However, the rest are not having this; they do want to respect her wishes of leaving her past behind, but not this time; she is needed and can't let her be in a defenseless form any longer. Let along a YEAR. So the stakes and emotional tension are high between the team and Ghostwire. Maybe the two (Fedelis and Flow) would be around more after all of the angst. That'll be cute.
Now, something cheeky with (causes @braveggg-hq. And I thought it would be funny.) Now by the time, the GGG started to appear around the corner. Ghostwire was curious and suspicious of some hidden secrets going around. She's quick about finding details and started to snoop around, which may or may not be discovering the GGG gang's, minus the kiddos, existence faster than the other AI's and Yuuta. The GGG group may not know she found them (Volfogg might suspect something, thanks to sensing her signature. However, that was put on hold as Ghostwire quickly disappeared), but now she knew they exist, and she's getting answers.
Now, you can imagine Saejima, Azuma, and Toudou keep the GGG as a surprise secret. Everything is going fine, only for Ghostwire giving the poor three older men a heart attack by phasing through a wall, cornering the three, and confronting them about the GGG. Poor Saejima, too spook to think straight, eventually told her the truth but begged her not to spoil the surprise. Maybe help them keep the rest from going too far if they wanted to pick a fight! She eventually obliges with the idea after hearing the explanation. Better to supervise the known trouble makers. But deep down, she was excited and curious about the new faces.
Mostly seeing more femme AIs; that's something fun to try to make friends! She's tired of the Smurfette deal in terms of the ai side of the team. She loves them, but sometimes, *gestures a strangling motion*.
We all know how the rest reacted, but luckily Ghostwire managed to lessen the fight's severity. After the petty battle, Volfogg realized his suspicions were correct; the energy signature- Ghostwire did indeed found them first. "WAIT! You knew and didn't tell us!?" From a disappointed, pouting Drillboy. While she dryly answers yes to the young mech's puppy eyes and baby pout.
Sure, the GGG AIs are going to be super cautious of Ghostwire at first. Maybe some might say something unintentionally offensive about her past, but they'll warm up to her after she clears the air, maybe after giving the bot who said the insensitive thing a good karma reward. And yes, the GGG do know of Fedelis. How could they not know of the blunt legend himself?

lessons in opposites
(a/n) a commission for my pal @fanfic-inator795! enjoy some raph and donnie bonding !
It’s not that Raph really prefers one brother over the other; he’s been blessed with three great brothers and one fantastic sister and Raphael is grateful every day, as sure as he’s got life and breath in him, he’s so grateful that he’s not alone.
April asks, just for laughs, for a silly documentary on their Lair Games, if Raph had a favorite brother; and off the bat, on instinct, he wants to deny that he does. He loves them all. But then he blurts out Mikey’s name without thinking and then things start to shift, and Raph starts to wonder if he’s a terrible brother for that.
“It’s not a big deal, Raph,” Donnie says, after having seen the clips of how little faith his brothers had in his athleticism, and that one little clip of Raph easily admitting Mikey was his favorite, followed up by Leo, “It’s just a joke…”
But he says it in the way that’s pinched and just a little forced like he does when he takes hard hits and bad falls and just wants to laugh it off because he’s fine.
Raph swallows, nods, presses a smile that feigns belief in Donnie’s words, but he can’t stop glancing over at his brother’s face the whole rest of the time they watch April’s (incredibly edited) documentary film.
His brother keeps his eyes downcast and does that thing where he wrings his hands till they get weirdly slick with this mucusy stuff.
Like when he’s hurt and holding back.
And Raph makes a silent promise, then, that he’ll definitely make it up to his brother.
---
Life has a funny way of just screwing plans and promises over. Raph trains extra with his father on early mornings, learning to think, to focus, to get his fears under control. Donnie locks himself into work by the time training is over, and then they go patrol and watch something on Netflix and then the day is spent and it’s 4am.
So it’s not exactly intentional, the way their paths just don’t cross long enough for Raph to really get the chance to make it up to Donnie. But it’s still shitty and Raph knows there’s something he can do- he has to.
And so he googles a bunch of stuff going on in Manhattan, something that wouldn’t be so obviously intended on compensating for basically saying Don is his least favorite brother. Something Donnie won’t suspect, because if he did-
“If you asking me is a way of ‘reparations’ for the Lair Games documentary, Raph…”
“It’s not-” Raph raises his arms in innocence, and crosses over his plastron, “Turtle’s honor, Donnie. ‘S just the guys...they’ll be all ‘that’s lame’, and you…”
“Wouldn’t think a teddy bear world is lame?” Donnie quirks his perfectly drawn brow and cocks his head a little at Raph.
This is going abysmally, but not quite in a way that wasn’t expected. Raph bites his own tongue from just spilling his intentions heartfeltly- because he can’t scare his brother off right now. He’s gotta play it cool.
“Uhhh, I mean, I-”
“Because you’d be pretty accurate,” Donnie interjects, and despite his voice remaining flat, his lips curve into a ghost of a smile, and Raph’s heart stops pounding so hard, “I was wondering when you would finally ask one of us, ugh a dream come true.”
Raph genuinely cannot tell if Donnie is being sarcastic, though roughly fifteen years of training has at least let him gather, from that weird way his brother’s eyes got super overbright when he was excited, that Donnie really, like super straight up, means it.
“Wow…. well, aight then,” Raph laughs with his words, still not believing how easy it was to simply…ask to spend time with his brother, “Just pick a disguise and we good!”
“Yup, normal disguise. Friday it ‘tis,” Donnie returns the laugh, a touch awkward, before taking his sandwich back to his lab.
And the slightly manic look that Raph catches in his brother, just as he slips from view, makes a lot of little pieces in Raph’s head come together, like a little, horrifying jigsaw puzzle.
Because Raph has been blessed with having Donnie as a brother for fourteen years, he knows a terrible plan forming when he sees one.
-----
Donnie takes pride in his intellect, like not in a super cocky way, he’s just glad he’s been gifted with the ability to make a pea shooter in one afternoon that also has the capability to laser off a bastard’s face.
Still he’s not too prideful to admit that he’s sometimes stupid as hell, in the emotional department, and social department. And while that’s not exactly ideal, Donnie’s got four pretty incredible siblings to lean on for that and so he doesn’t really complain about the impossibility of picking up social cues.
But sometimes, like when his older brother is standing across from him uncomfortably stiff, babbling on about Teddy Bear Town- well sometimes Donnie kinda wishes he did get it.
It’s only until he’s stacking his third layer of his sandwich that Donnie really understands what this is all about. Because Raph’s got his ‘I’m nervously trying to make it up to you’ stink, and then Donnie remembers the documentary, and Raph’s commentary, and the really…awful way Donnie pretended not to feel afterwards.
He doesn’t want Raph to pity invite him, he doesn’t need that. And Donnie’s gonna make sure his brother knows he’s fine- he’s chill and and he’s okay with potentially being Raph’s least favorite.
So he’s supposed to respond to Raph nonchalantly, to just go with Raph and be cool about it but-
“Shelldon, download all the info you can find on Teddy Town…”
-----
“Rise and shine, bud!”
Donnie must’ve drank four extra shots of espresso to be this hype this early, and Raph grips the steering wheel of the Turtle Tank a little harder to try and not smell so nervous. Because there’s no way Donnie could have actually known what Raph’s intentions were, like he had to have just thought that this was a normal thing, and not a ‘I’m so sorry I made you feel less than appreciated, please forgive me’ type of thing.
And Donnie is definitely onto something, even if he’s not onto Raph. He’s just got that glint in his eyes, and Raph feels just a little bit selfish for wanting this to be a normal day- for his brother to just be-
“Uh...thanks for taggin’ along,” Raph doesn’t intentionally cut Donnie off, but his brother’s talking a mile a minute about the history of Teddy Bear Town and Raph knows that he’s only doing it because he feels he has to.
Donnie stops himself, blinks, and puts his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, “It’s no big deal…” he says, in complete contrary to his hyperactive Ted Talk, “Being benched for a sprained ankle was shit, needed to get out anyway…”
He glances over at Raph and looks instantly, incredibly smaller.
Raph thumbs the steering wheel, drumming against it in thought, in a search for words.
He doesn’t have to do this kinda stuff with Mikey, and Leo never shuts up- and Donnie is just…
“Bluetooth, connect to my phone,” Donnie says abruptly, before Raph even gets the chance to think of something to say.
And they stay quiet, listening to music the whole way there.
------
Things feel significantly less awkward in the bigger crowd. Raph is grateful for all the noise and movement that he can shift his focus on, instead of the downcast way Donnie’s been carrying himself since halfway through their ride over here.
And Raph’s always kinda felt his younger brother had a tough time expressing himself- that they were different that way. That Raph carried his heart on his sleeve and that his brother didn’t. But now he’s starting to see that maybe he’s got some things twisted. That he and Donnie are a lot more alike in these things than Raph thought.
“Stay close,” he tells his brother, because as aloof as humans are, they’re still humans, and they don’t always accept what’s different.
Raph remembers telling Donnie that, when they first met April, when Donnie surprisingly was the first to reach out and grab her little hand and compare it to his. And Donnie had looked at him weird, and yeah, well humans aren’t the only ones that don’t understand ‘different’.
The memory hits Raph so suddenly, and almost makes him miss a step.
He turns to find Donnie staring at him, which must mean Donnie noticed, because of course he did.
And Raph stares back because oh. Holy shit.
“Uh…” Donnie glances around awkwardly, “Raph, you’re giving off a weird...vibe right now. You good-”
“Can we talk?” Raph blurts out, and surveys their surroundings, for a place to dip, “Like real quick?”
Donnie looks like he wants to bolt now, which would be ideal in the packed hallway of the mall. But he doesn’t. He just swallows and darts his eyes and nods.
Sure.
Pros to being trained ninjas is the ability to disappear quickly, and they find a quiet, tucked away spot where Raph finally lets himself breathe.
“You’re different,” he says it quickly and rushed and Donnie’s eyes briefly widen in some sort of surprise, but Raph presses on despite his sloppy start, “You….you think different, you think, like, way smarter than us, an’ you make different jokes and express differently an’ that doesn’t. It’s not bad, Donnie.”
His brother keeps his eyes to the ground, kicking gently at nothing, “I don’t care that you said I’m your least favorite, Raph,” he mumbles.
“But you do,” Raph counters back, and keeps his voice leveled, tries not to talk to Donnie too softly or else he’d feel babied, “And that’s normal, and I wish I could say that what I said wasn’t...I dunno, like a…”
“Reflection of how you feel?” Donnie poses, but his words aren’t angry, even if Raph feels his brother’s got full rights to be.
He sighs, deflating a little, “Yeah...yeah, I guess it’s that. But not because I think...it’s because I get really...weirdly insecure man. You’re a freaking genuis and I know you never try an’ make us feel dumb, but- and then we’re both super bad at words and I just… I dunno Dee.”
Raph takes the extra step to go close the distance between him and Donnie, and Donnie stiffens up- at first, for just a couple of seconds, “But I love you, ‘cause you’re an awesome person, and ya not my least favorite. You’re not. And ya don’t gotta pretend you’re cool with everything.”
Donnie pulls back, a dorky smile on his face, which is infinitely better than the sad way he looked earlier, even better than the way he pretended like everything was good and it wasn’t.
“You don’t have to pretend either,” Donnie says, unlocking their eye contact, and staring back at his feet, “I know you were trying to...to make it up to me, but. You could’ve- you didn’t have to invite me.”
“But I wanted to,” Raph says it and means it with everything he’s got, “Really, Donnie. A-and I wanted to do somethin’ that ya wouldn’t think was me just tryna get on your good side, ya know. Somethin’ we could just...do.”
“And I messed up, the whole info-dumping….”
He’s doing it again, he’s making himself smaller and Raph’s not allowing that.
“Okay, half of that stuff, I woulda never known- and ya looked all’a that up just to get to understand me better. I just didn’t want you...t’ think you had to...say all that.”
“And I didn’t want you to think you had to invite me,” Donnie quips back, but ends it with a small smile, “So I guess we’re in the same proverbial boat.”
Raph snorts, “The boat of insecurity…”
And Donnie, stiff and awkward and still full of feeling, takes his turn to hug Raph fully this time, “Screw that boat.”
-----
In the end Donnie makes his bear with a shitton of detail, getting so wrapped up in it that they spend a couple hours there.
And Raph’s bear is simple, not all that complex like his brother’s- but that’s more than okay, actually.
Their differences were more than okay.

Here’s chapter 10! The Rescuers
Hours went by and Luca and Giulia haven't seen Alberto nor Maria. "Where are they? Are they ok?" Giulia said worriedly "I don't know! I'll go check!" Luca said and dove into the water and swam out towards the island Alberto was heading. A few moments of swimming, Luca saw a trail of blood coming from the side of the island and followed it. As he followed the floating blood trail, more blood started appearing as if something was bleeding. Luca looked down and saw Alberto at the bottom unconscious. "ALBERTO!" Luca yelled and swam towards him. "Alberto! Wake up! C'mon, please wake up!" Luca cried. Alberto groaned from the pain in his head and started waking up from a long blackout. "Ugh... What happened?" Alberto said sitting up and rubbing the wound on the side of his head. "You tell me, why is there blood everywhere? Where's Maria?" Luca asked, then Alberto remembered what happened "OH NO! MARIA! Ercole stabbed her through her shoulder and took her away!" Alberto cried, "What!? Ercole!? What for?" Luca asked "A competition! In Genoa!" Alberto said, "The train! He's gonna be on the train!" Luca cried and they both started swimming back to town.
Giulia was pacing around the dock waiting for Luca and Alberto to return. Luca and Alberto started coming out the water and ran to Giulia, "Giulia! Have you seen Ercole!?" Alberto asked worriedly, "I saw him carrying something under a blanket and headed to the train station." She said "That was Maria!" Alberto shouted then ran over and hopped on his Vespa and started racing to the train station before it took off, Giulia and Luca got on their bikes and started racing behind. "C'mon, c'mon!" Alberto said nervously as he was almost there to the train. Giulia and Luca caught up to Alberto, "Alberto! The train's leaving!" Said Luca, "Look! There's Ercole!" Giulia said pointing to Ercole hopping onto the train carrying a bloody humanoid-shaped blanket. "There's Maria!" Alberto said and sped up faster, Giulia and Luca followed behind. As the train was moving away, Alberto, Luca and Giulia started riding on the train tracks trying to get as close to the train as possible.
"We're not gonna make it!" Luca said, Alberto looked to his left and saw a rocky ramp then grabbed Luca and Giulia hands and had them sit with him in his Vespa, "You guys hang on!" Alberto said as he started riding up the rocky ramp and jumped onto the top of the train losing the Vespa and struggling to stay on top as they started sliding off. Giulia started swinging back and forth hanging off the edge of the train and hopped in the end of the train where there was a door and railing. "C'mon guys! Jump down!" Giulia shouted and Alberto and Luca started doing the same thing she did and jumped down to the end she was at. "Now let's find Maria!" Alberto said as he opened the door and they went inside viewing a lot of people in the passenger seats. "Let's be careful, and keep an eye out for Ercole and Maria." Giulia said as they started walking through the seated passengers looking for Ercole.
After a long while of strolling through the train to find Ercole, a conductor caught them. "Hey! What are you doing? Do you have a train ticket?" The conductor asked, Giulia laughed nervously, "Hehe, it's a funny story..." she said then started running and Alberto and Luca followed running after. "Hey!" The conductor shouted and started chasing after them. The three started running through the train cart to cart until they bumped into Ercole.
"You three!?" He said, then the conductor caught up. "It's ok, Amico. These three are with me." Ercole said, "Well... Ok, next time they should have their tickets." The conductor said and walked away. Ercole pushed the three into a cart that had no seats or passengers, but it was dark and only had two window left to right. "Where's Maria, Ercole?" Alberto said standing up and walking towards Ercole. "Relax, fishboy. She's fine, we managed to stop the bleeding and get the harpoon out." Ercole said. The three sighed in relief, "But that doesn't mean your gonna stop me from having her make me a winner!" Ercole said and snapped his finger and his mates grabbed Alberto and his friends and put a clothe over their noses that had a sleeping chemical on it and the three started falling asleep, "By the time you wake up, this will all feel like a bad dream." Ercole said, his voice starting to fade away as everything faded to black.
Hours had passed and it was nighttime, Alberto woke up to find that they were tied up with their hands behind their backs and a piece of cloth covering their mouths and was sat against a brick wall underneath a bridge. Alberto started struggling trying to break his bonds, Ercole started walking up and kneeling in front of Alberto, "Don't worry, I'm sure your fidanzata will be just fine!... In an aquarium!" Ercole said and started laughing evilly while walking off downtown where the competition was being held. 'No! Maria!' Alberto said in his head thinking of all the bad stuff that was gonna happen to Maria if he didn't save her in time.
Giulia and Luca woke to find themselves also tied up, they started muffling and struggling to break free, but it was no use, the bonds were too tight and strong. Giulia managed to get the piece of clothe off her mouth, "C'mon guys! It's not over yet!" She said trying to cheer them on as she rolled over to them and took their clothes off with her teeth, "Yes it is!... We failed... Maria's gone... we're too late..." Alberto said sadly looking down. "No, Alberto. Look! We're here! We just have to find Maria and get to the train back to Portorroso! As soon as we get out of these ropes!" Giulia said continuing to struggling through her ropes. "And how exactly are we supposed to do that?" Alberto said, "Well...uhh..." Giulia said trying to think of something hopeful to say. Luca looked at the water that was next to them on their left and started rolling towards it until he fell in. "LUCA!" Alberto and Giulia screamed, Luca jumped back out the water free from his ropes for he had bit them off with his sharp teeth, he started untying Giulia and Alberto.
"Giulia's right, Alberto. We can't just give up now when we're so close! We just have to hurry and find Maria before Ercole sends her away to someplace horrible!" Luca said. "Yeah! Maria's our friend too! And she's a part of our group, The Underdogs!" Giulia cheered putting her arm out as Luca joined in and put his hand on top of hers and they both looked at Alberto waiting for him to join in. Alberto looked at both of them and smiled, putting his hand on top of theirs in the middle, "Underdogs!" They shouted, "Alright! Let's go find our friend!" Giulia said, "And I know someone here who will help us!"
After a while of walking through town, they came to a house. Giulia knocked on the door and a lady that almost looked like Giulia opened the door, "Giulia! This is an unexpected surprise! And I see you brought Luca and his friend here too!" The lady said, "Ciao, mama! We need your help!" Giulia said, "With what?" Giulia's mother asked, "Ercole stole Alberto's friend! She's a Siren and Ercole is trying to enter her in the competition so he could win the prize money!" Giulia said. "Santo Pecorino!" Giulia's mom gasped. "And Maria's injured because he stabbed her with his harpoon, so we have to get her out of here before its too late!" Alberto cried. "Then what are we waiting for? I'll help you save your friend and make sure you get home to Portorroso safely." Said Giulia's mom. She put her shoes and stuff on and they started heading towards the competition.
There was a crowd of people gathering around to see the Sirens up close, Ercole started walking up to the front desk to sign in. "And what's your name?" The lady at the front desk asked Ercole, "I am Ercole Visconti, the five-time winner of the Portorroso cup!" He said bragging. "Okay, and what costume are you submitting today?" The lady said sarcastically, "She is not a costume! She's the real thing!" Ercole said pulling a blanket off of a large and wide fish tank containing Maria inside. "Oh my!" The front desk lady gasped in shock. "Yes, so you may as well tell everyone to go on home, I won this year!" Ercole said walking backstage and taking Maria with him. Giulia, her mom and Luca and Alberto made it to the competition, it was crowded and they could barely see over the crowed. "See anything guys?" Giulia asked, "Nope, nothing yet!" Luca said, "Look! There! Behind the giant red blanket!" Alberto said pointing to everyone going backstage. "C'mon! Let's go see if Maria's back there!" Giulia said and they all started running towards the backstage.
Behind the red curtain were boxes full of fish tanks and costumes, "You three look around for your friend, I see Ercole I'll distract him." Giulia's mom said, "Thanks, Mama!" Giulia said and gave her mother a hug then they started looking. They searched everywhere, there were mermaid costumes, makeup, tails, and fish tanks. "Ugh! This is gonna take forever!" Giulia complained, "Maybe we could try calling for her?" Luca said, "We can't alert anyone or else they'll find us and then we're never gonna save Maria!" Giulia said. Alberto looked around and started thinking, then he got an idea. Alberto started to sing while walking down an isle of boxes and fish tanks, "Come with me, into the sea, as we swim far out to sea. In the deep, you will see, a world of my dreams. As you sink into the ocean, without a warning-" "You've fallen into my trap..." Alberto looked in the direction he heard the voice and looked down to his left and saw Maria laying down in a large wide fish tank. She looked as if she was still weak from her wound on her shoulder that was now patched up and covered in bandages and was now wearing a royal blue dress.
"Maria!" Alberto shouted and kneeled down to her tank, "I'm so glad your okay!" He said letting out a sigh of relief. "You shouldn't have come, Alberto... What if he catches you?" Maria said, "He'll have to fight me first. And I won't back down from a fight!" Alberto said smiling at Maria. "I'm sorry, Alberto... You were right... I should've listen." Maria said, "No, It's my fault. I should've stayed with you before he came." Alberto said standing up "And now this time I'm gonna make sure of it! I won't let you go alone again." He said uncovering Maria's top to open her tank.
Alberto grabbed Maria and picked her up out her tank as she started drying and turned back into a human, her wound on her shoulder started hurting as she hissed through her pain, Alberto started holding her up using her right arm and started heading towards his friends. "Guys! I found her!" Alberto said as he and Maria started walking towards Giulia and Luca. "Maria! Your okay!" Giulia said, "For now, yes." Maria said still weak and sore from the pain "C'mon, let's get her out of here, quick!" Alberto said and they started rushing back outside to Giulia's mom. "Mom, is the coast clear?" Giulia asked, "Yes, c'mon, hurry!" Giulia's mom said and they all started pacing through the crowd out of downtown. Ercole was coming back from having some equality time to himself, getting something to eat, got himself a drink, then started walking back to the competition. Ercole started heading backstage to Maria's tank to find it empty. He spat out his drink from shock, "Mama Mia! She's escaped!" He shouted and grabbed his harpoon and started running outside searching for Maria.
