My utter hatred for the glorified POO new CC is yet to be quenched despite having gotten 620 pts after many bloodshed, so here's a rant about why I think it's utter shit (and to be less bitter, what it actually did right) (Tl;dr high medal requirement + required tags bs = lack of variety despite lots of tags and painful experience. Rotating maps are alright)
So first off, the first problem with this CC comes from the medal requirement

Simple enough right, 600/620 is the Risk 18 equivalent of CC Batteplan isn't it? Wrong. I will quickly point out that it's nice there's no longer a timed requirement for the trimmed before pointing out the problem
Due to how the pts system is structured, only getting 10-30 pts per tag, you'd need to take a lot of tags to even reach 620 pts. They were going somewhere though with the tag set bonus, but the other flaws eventually void this
The second problem comes from the "required tag" thing

Say, I want to take the tile ban and caster tags without the drone tag as I don't want to deal with them... well, I can't. In past CC, you're allowed to pick any tag you want, no "required tag" thing; here they grabbed you by throat, threw you off a cliff, and say ‘fuck you, take that tag you hate dealing with.’ I'm actually fine with this system on the rotating maps (I'll get to them later), but here, it's just utter ass due to the number of tags you'll have to take
And speaking of the number of tags... As far as my memories serve, we actually have as much if not more tags compared to past CC, but... it just feels lacking in variety, and it's precisely due to the medal requirement. If it were lower, somewhere around the 400-500 pts territory, something that I personally feel is actually closer to Risk 18 than 600/620, there'll actually be more variety as you can pick which poison you'll take. But you can't, in this reality, you're forced to deal with all of them
I understand that they want to make this the endgame event, but I feel this is too harsh, and haven't people always gone beyond Risk 18 anyway? Maybe it's because despite being a 3 years old AK player, I'm relatively casual and "fuck all", but I've never been punished this hard for not raising and getting meta ops
That being said though, I've never felt as much joy playing rotating CC maps. Previously it's all stat buff + slight enemy mechanic change if any + taking away map buff, but now? ‘Hey do you want to take this tag that change the gameplay a significant amount in exchange for a buff?’ I like this, as it plays to the "required tag" system nicely. Usually I wouldn't be bothered to go above Risk 8 as it's kind of boring, but here I got above 300 pts for all the rotating maps except Federal Prison I just can't be bothered with that one
I hate the fact that we'll be stuck with this sytem for 4 years. If they'll ever remake CC/make a new endgame event, I'd rather they keep the "required tags" system only for rotating maps and do something with the bs system with the perma map
