ok the last post i reblogged sent me on a minedai spiral and i wrote a massive textpost i didn't actually finish and watched like 30 mins of cutscenes including the whole finale rooftop stuff [yakuza 3 spoilers to follow] and god WHAT THE FUCK I'm actually crying like multiple consecutive tears over fucking. MINE YOSHITAKA. not that he's not worth it but i Did Not Care That Much when i first saw that scene but after spiralling over his emotions i am apparently DEVASTATED. cannot stress enough that i do not cry very often at all. this is a rare event. but it's just so fucking sad. when you know what's happening and what's going to happen and how mine feels the atmosphere is so fucking miserable and mournful. god. fuck. the way he looks at kiryu when he's like what are you going to do to daigo you bastard. THE GUILT THE HESITATION. HE'S NOT WELL. the love of his LIFE got hurt under his protection and he is NOT HANDLING IT WELL HE'S HANDLING IT SO FUCKING BADLY that he's decided to kill him because he's basically dead and he can't stand waiting for the other shoe to drop. he's losing his mind over this he's actually losing his entire purpose and ideology and he's fucking. gay as hell. and the way he says "oh yeah you know how it was growing up as an orphan. no one trusted or loved me. i had nothing" when, frankly, kiryu DIDNT have it that bad. but he did lose those people, one of whom's death has a striking resemblance to mine's in a minute. idek how i wanna unpack that rn. like he just assumes it's universal and it's not. but if they grew up in the same circumstances who's to say kiryu wouldn't have ended up like him? and when he collapses after the fight and his secretary calls him and he tries to open up to her about the shallow but meaningful (to lonely ass mine) relationship they have and she starts talking about stock exchange bs and he's like kiryu do you ever feel like your world is falling apart around you. he's been worried sick he's been agonizing he almost killed his dead beloved chairman. and the way daigo uses the same gun mine used to shoot at kiryu and was gonna use to kill him to save mine and kiryu. how his first lines are that he's not ready to die yet. how mine cowers and falls to his knees when daigo wakes up. fuckkk dude. and how mine starts all rational and explanatory and calm in tone and when kiryu starts pressing him he starts freaking the fuck out and when daigo wakes up he finally has a mournful tone. him saying he doesn't deserve to live but not admitting he betrayed daigo. he never even told him he loved him, as far as we know. (god the fact that it still manages to be devastating even with richardson's CHOICE acting and daigo's coma trickshot is insane.) and how he tells kiryu he hates those who always try to help others even when that's the trait that drew him to daigo, and when he lets kiryu help him (read: beat a moral into him) he wishes he'd met him sooner, as if the belief that there wasn't only one person who could care about him would have saved him has set in, as if he realizes now that he never accepted help and that's why he was wrong about those do-gooders, and that perhaps he was wrong about them and himself, that it wasn't because they were lying to him or because he was unlikable, but that he did not let them in. because that's literally what's happening. AND I FUCKING. FORGOT DAIGO ASKS KIRYU IF MINE WAS THE TRAITOR AFTER HE WATCHES HIM FUCKING KILL HIMSELF AND KIRYU SAYS NO HE WOULD NEVER BETRAY YOU. HE LIES TO COVER HIS ASS BECAUSE HE UNDERSTANDS HOW BROKEN HE WAS ABOUT THIS AND CANT BEAR TO RUIN HIS IMAGE IN THE EYES OF THE ONE PERSON MINE REALLY CARED ABOUT, REALLY LOVED. FUCKS SAKE.
#anyway. mine and kiryu son-in-law + father-in-law unity is underrated those two would be close if mine lived i feel#watching the cutscenes i just kept pausing and yelling WHAT THE FUCKKKK and bawling#having a serious Minedai Moment here in the skrunks household tonight#it's been like 2 hours im not kidding#minedai#rgg#mine yoshitaka#i didnt get it at first but i get it now. god#holy shit#that bit where he's like i could have any woman i wanted. but it was all a lie. so i sought out male bonds instead to see if love existed#congrats on figuring it out babe!!! you're a homosexual <3#yakuza 3#fucking. he thinks orphans are entitled he's such a capitalist I SHOULD NOT LIKE HIM#but hes. so fucking unhealthy about that man#insaned in the membraned about him tonight in ways i legit never would have expected. i am eating my bedsheets#hes such a funny character and he's ruining my night /pos#i have only played y3 once but the more i think about it the more it's like. i reaalllyy like yakuza 3 apparently and i didnt even know lol

Hii!!! Since you already got asks about what your thoughts on the various Mad Hatters, and Scarecrows are—
Now I gotta ask what’s your thoughts on the various Riddlers? 👀
Complete the dork squad various thoughts EHEHEHEHEHEHE >:DDD
Hope you have an amazing day/night time!! ^^
-🐭💤
Hehe nope I haven't done one for the Riddlers yet, but it only makes sense to round up the Dork Squad with my ramblings let's gooooo
So I'm kinda just gonna go in random order lmao, and I'll mostly just focus on the ones I write for or else we'll be here FOR DAYS lmao but here I go!
Batman the Animated Series Riddler: Husband. 11/10, the reason I even got into Batman and the Rogues, why I'm here asdfghh. He can do no wrong, he still has done no wrong. Mockridge deserved to have sleepless paranoid nights for taking advantage of my amazing husband who would've have gone on and made amazing games had he not be mistreated....I love him a lot lol
Arkhamverse Riddler: Absolutely fucking brilliant, amazing love, love, love his character development. Definitely one of the best developments (not like...the best for him but writing wise) out of the entire series. It's so tragic, his fall from grace...and Wally's voice is perfect for him! He captures his radio/game show host voice but can also do moments of vulnerability right before picking his voice back up again, it's AH amazing.
Gotham Riddler: Ehhh...I've already griped about this show a bunch lmao, the way they've written the rogues is one of the huge issues I have with it. Ed is one of them. I almost stopped watching when I saw the split personality bs...just...AH. But I do adore S1 Edward with my entire being, I wanna be friends with him, I wanna hear him infodump and watch game shows and play video games just ugh
Reevesverse/Dano Riddler: ehh he's, he's okay. I can appreciate they had him fight for injustice (kinda like Arkham Origins, except Origins did it a wee better, just because it proved Ed's point that his knowledge and evidence was enough to make the system collapse more so than violence. Knowledge is more powerful than batman running around beating up henchmen) and I did like the cards, and I can appreciate the orphan take, but he is just kinda meh to me?
Gotham City Sirens Riddler: mmmm p.i. riddler my beloved asdfgghh love, love, love him. I know reformed riddler is a hit or a miss with some people, and I totally get it. But I adored him in this comic, it was nice seeing him doing better even for a minute. And my man's has rizz! And his relationship with the Sirens was super entertaining and endearing.
Zero Year/Capullo Riddler: Ahhh this asshole. I do sincerely enjoy him. I loved that this story showed what the Riddler is capable of (i know new 52 is garbage, but I do appreciate what Capullo/Snyder were doing in their run). I also just really, REALLY adore Capullo's style and his version of the Riddler just scratches an itch in my brain.
The War of Jokes and Riddles Riddler: asddfgh I hate this asshole. So much, it's almost a love to hate, dumb beef leprechaun looking motherfucker I swear to god. So dramatic and extra, but not even in a fun entertaining way lmao.
Young Justice Riddler: Baby boy, baby girl, can do no wrong, deserved better too. Much like BTAS, was absolutely robbed, we should've gotten more episodes. I will say his voice is absolutely jarring, but it grows on you the more you associate it with his design lmao
Telltale Riddler: AH PUZZLE GRANDPA!! lmao again, I dig how much of a threat they built him up to be. I love the different take on him being on older and established rogue. I also love his backstory or atleast the hints of it we get, it's intriguing and different.
Hush (DCAU) Riddler: asdfghj the fucking terrible twist aside...I do adore this design and voice for him. And yes, I do adore that just enough to try and write for him lmao.
Here's a few extra riddlemen I DON'T write for but in case anyone was curious:
Batman Forever Riddler: Listen, I love Jim Carrey, but the man gave me fever dreams. One of my core memories waking up at 3 am was not only to the music collection ads that'd play but also the random movies they'd play on TV. Batman Forever was one of them, and it overwhelmed the shit out of me. I woke up thinking I had some weird dream, but when I realized I wasn't totally losing it...ahhh yeah. Again, I can appreciate his inclusion, his take is absolutely iconic for sure. Just not for me.
Hush (comic) Riddler: Another excellent story about how compelling of a villain Riddler can be, I adore his design here too. If the animated version just kept what they had AHH
The Batman (2004) Riddler: I'm sorry, I adore Robert Englund voicing him, that was a neat surprise. And his backstory is so sad, but I just...not my fave design. I really can't get passed it. So sorry I know he's a favorite, but just not for me.
Batman '66 Riddler: I've only seen clips, gifs, and some episodes, but I adore this man. I don't write for him yet only because I don't know nearly enough. But I absolutely love this man and will praise him until the end of time. He's the reason we have the riddler suit. He's the OG. He's the goat.
Harley Quinn The Animated Series Riddler: As much as I'm not a fan of a bald Riddler, I fucking adore this Riddler. He's really witty and sarcastic, a man after my own heart. Gotham is overrun by rogues and this fucker opens a university? Of course, he would. I also adore him and Clock King, are you kidding me??
I...I hope that answers your question...lmao I didn't mean for it to get this long I swear to god.
#ri rambles#ri answers#dormy anon 🐭💤#warning: super long post ahead#like pretty long lmao#ri rambles about riddlers

SnK Chapter 125 Poll Results
The chapter 125 poll closed with 1,469 responses. Thank you for your support! This month’s poll results were compiled by /u/alooulla, /u/_Puppet_, @shifter-lines and @momtaku.
RATE THE CHAPTER 1,387 RESPONSES
While still overwhelmingly positive, and slightly improved over Chapter 124, the “wow” factor still wasn’t there for many. Those selecting a perfect five was less than half of respondents (49.3%).
Transitions were unbelievably good, hardly noticed we were at 5 different scenes this chapter.
Not really hype like some chapters have been, but it was wonderful to see all the character and story development.
Created a number of different plot threads, but was not as satisfying as recent chapters
Everyone in this chapter (except Flock) deserves love
Good chapter, juggles lots of POVs excellently and opens up multiple opportunities for where the story may go. I love how desperate everything is.
Beats gonna drop soon
Jean honey if you push Floch out the hole in the wall everyone will swear it was an accident
WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT? 1,421 RESPONSES
They only appeared on two pages, but “Levi and Hange are back” was the top pick out of a long list of options with nearly one-third (27.7%) selecting them. “Armin and Mikasa’s argument” secured second (14.3%) and “Annie and Hitch together” (12.6%) round out the top three.
LEVI AND HANGE ARE BACK! OMG!!!
I loved Annie's backstory, the conversation between Floch and Jean, the talk between AM, Shadis, mr Leonhart, literally everything.
I loved hearing Annie and Hitch talk, and the Levi and Hange situation finally got addressed :)
I'm so happy to see Levi and Hange, and so happy that they've run into Pieck and Magath. I hope they can reach some kind of truce and work together.
Floch is the Queen of Paradis confirmed.
Shadis once again made this chapter for me. What a great, deep speech. He is a true hero.♡
WHO WAS THIS CHAPTER'S MVP? 1,416 RESPONSES
While denied the favorite moment, Annie was the favorite for chapter MVP with more than one-quarter of respondent (26.6%). Hitch, the other half of the girl power duo, made a strong showing (19.6%) for number two. Most shocking perhaps is that Hange (13.6%) squeaked out a narrow victory over Floch (12.6%) for third.
Annie is the best girl
Floch did nothing wrong
Hitch nipping at Historia's best girl-crown
HAAAAAAAAANGE
ANNIEEEEE A AAAAA AA A AA A A A A A A MY GIRL
Floch is such a crazy piece of shit, I love him, he's a great villain and I'm glad that Isayama added a character like that to the story. Also, funny with how he represents the rabid Eren stans, parroting the bs they keep saying ("we're free now reeeeeee").
S H A D I S T H E C H A D I S
Hange my queen how the hell did you save Levi, I wanna know!!
Hitch yeeting Annie made me scream, I love them together so much.
My babes Shadis and Magath are BACK!! 😍
So happy to see Hitch back. She is such a fun character and so underrated!
THE CHAPTER OPENS WITH RESIDENTS OF STOHESS REACTING BOTH POSITIVELY AND NEGATIVELY TO EREN’S ACTIONS. WHICH EXPRESSION OF THE CROWD ARE YOU MOST SYMPATHETIC TOWARDS? 1,416 RESPONSES
The citizens of the walls are as divided as the fanbase over Eren’s actions. 36.7% are on the side that says the Eldians on the island would all be dead without Eren, while 34% respond with the fact that he’s responsible for many of their deaths himself. 25.1% don’t want to side with either faction.
“You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs”
Both are right and wrong at the same time…
Both sides are ignorant as to what is actually happening so it is difficult to gauge who actually feels what they do considering their limited knowledge but I'm edging towards the justification of it.
Eren has planned this all along, he knows there will be no true peace by doing the rumbling and has some kind of third goal
Even if the first expression is true (and no one can say if it is or not for sure) it doesn't make the belligerents right, or mean that Eren shouldn't be held accountable for his actions
Both sides are justified. Both sides reacted according to their personal views in response to an outside force they had no control of.
I sympathize with both. One on hand, it seems as though the wall titans were the only effective retaliation the island had left, but on the other hand, Eren did kill many of his own people and aiming to wipe out the rest of the world is definitely pretty extreme for even Eren. That's why I think there's still a HUGE part of his plan that we haven't been made aware of yet.
There's no real right answer here. Obviously genocide is bad and no one can deny the fact that Eren killed his own people but, what other options were available in the limited time they had?
Whatever your thoughts on The Rumbling, Eren is being extremely reckless and it's going to backfire like crazy. Member when Erwin pulled off an almost-bloodless coup? I have a feeling Ereh is too preoccupied with thoughts of PATHS and FREEDOM to really consider the consequences of stuff like civilian casualties or letting a fascist cult take over the government.
What the tic tac patty wack snick snack quarterback big mac heart attack race track double back guy named jack did he just do?
Sasageyo
ANNIE BACKSTORY! WHAT DID YOU THINK? 1,420 RESPONSES
Annie’s finally back! And she sure got a lot of page time, finally getting her chance to speak her story. The majority thought seems to be that it was okay, at 60.3%, whereas 33.2% absolutely loved it, and 6.5% thought it was a waste of time.
Develops her character a bit but otherwise not too important
we got an entire Annie backstory and it answered NONE of my questions about the crystal. If its purpose was just to protect her like the Warhammer's crystal, and she was semi-conscious -- why couldn't she escape it on her own? Is there something unique about the Female Titan? Was it a chrysalis? Has she undergone a metamorphosis?
I'm just glad Annie's back
I really liked it and especially the Annie focus although I expected more from her justifications.
Don't care for her this late in the story tbh it's just a waste of pages
this chapter confirmed that Annie is the best character of SNK !
It was pretty much exactly what I expected, fairly boring and didn’t change my perception of her character at all
This puts so much context on the murders she committed back in the female titan arc and her personality in general. This is so great! Waited forever for this
I especially liked learning Annie's entire backstory, and her interactions with Hitch in this chapter were great.
Lil' Orphan Annie deserves more spinoffs. We need one about her awkward preteen years trying to fit in with the popular girls while continuously kicking them in half by accident.
MY GIRL ANNIE DESERVES MORE.
AFTER CONSIDERING HER STORY, WHICH THOUGHT MOST CLOSELY MATCHES YOUR OWN? 1,410 RESPONSES
There sure was a lot to consider in all Annie said, and the two primary thoughts seem to be a feeling of tragedy that she never felt that anything mattered, and a hope that she’ll see her father again, at 23.7% and 22.6% respectively.
Can't forget what she has caused, but glad she found meaning in life.
I hope she can find peace
I understand her reasoning, but her saying she'd do it all again hurt a lot.
Interesting plot point, but was it really necessary? Kinda felt like forced drama to add this "adoptive child" thing.
Is it wrong to wish for her happiness?
It may mirror Eren's motives. To her, nothing else matters except returning to her father, not even other people's lives. If Eren is intent on protecting his friends, then other lives wouldnt even matter.
It's interesting how seems similar she is to Reiner but how different they actually are. Annie is nihilistic and realistic because the lack of love, Reiner is idealistic and longing for love in a tragic way because he fantasize the love which doesn't exist
Annie has always been, in my opinion at least, one of the most honest characters, and I'm glad we can see that her core hasn't changed (but I’m so happy we can hear her talk and that we are finally getting some character development). Unlike Reiner and Bertolt, Annie never pretended to be friends with the Shinganshina trio, she never acted more nicely than she felt she should. She kept to herself and did what she knew she had to do. But this does not make Annie cold or resilient to atrocities; when she was manipulated by Reiner to take off Marco’s 3D maneuver gear, we can see she doesn’t do it easily and she does show remorse, in spite of everything. All of the SnK characters are tragic, some more than others, and for me, Annie is probably one of the most tragic ones. Adopted, trained to become a killing machine, completely alone with no one to really rely on once she joined the army, Annie goes towards her goal, stripping every bit of romanticism from the notions of peace, good vs bad governments, Marley, Eldia, humanity, etc. Annie does not fight, or pretend to fight, for the greater good; as perceptive as always, she sees the situation for what it is, just like she sees people for who they really are. I hope this brave young woman gets a happy ending with her dad.
DO YOU FIND IT REASONABLE THAT ANNIE HAS BEEN SEMI-CONSCIOUS IN THE CRYSTAL ALL THIS TIME 1,411 RESPONSES
Hitch sure was surprised that Annie had actually been listening to her all that time, but the fandom wasn’t. 86.3% found it reasonable, but 10.7% still aren’t convinced it makes sense.
Considering we had Ms. Tyber being aware of her surroundings in her own crystal, looking back on that it's like "oh yeah that seems legit". Granted I'm sure Ms. Tyber had practiced the technic to use it in battle proficiently. But it doesn't seem too out there for Annie to be at least semi-conscious
Honestly no. But this story has people transforming into giant monsters so I can't really complain.
I find hard to believe she is not crazy. Being unable to move in darkness for 4 years with only voices to keep her company is pretty brutal.
I'm wondering how her body condition is near to normal.
It reminds me of ymir being a mindless titan for 60 years
Wall titans also seemed to be semi conscious if I remember the original scene with eye movement and fear of light energizing them.
P A T H S
ANNIE WAS COVERED WITH SOME SORT OF FLUID THAT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE EVAPORATING. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS? 1,408 RESPONSES
We ended last chapter on Annie in a pool of this liquid, and this time we see Hitch follow it to where Annie is. But… what is it? 66.2% think it has something to do with the crystal’s hardening, 15.2% DO NOT want that knowledge, and 11.6% think it’s a human bodily fluid.
A fluid to keep her alive (something like the lcl in evangelion)
Amniotic fluid is the warm, fluid cushion that protects and supports your baby as they grow in the womb.
a liquid that makes her body hibernate so she can stay alive
I think it's a weakened form of the hardening. Perhaps it was also this fluid around the creature in the well from Ymir's backstory.
If I recall correctly, some crystals do have water in the form of “hydrates” so in theory, the fluid in Annie’s crystal is what kept her alive by supplying nutrients and and water to her body. Because of this, the fluid may have possibly come from Annie’s Titan as it formed the crystal around her.
amniotic fluid - some unique property of the Female Titan
Tears of readers who waited too fucking long for Annie to break through
Armin juice
WHERE DO YOU THINK HITCH AND ANNIE ARE HEADING? 1,408 RESPONSES
So many groups in so many places! Where is this one going to end up? A little over half, at 55.9% think they’ll run into another group before they get to a specific destination, about a quarter at 23.4% think Shiganshina, and 19.2% think the port.
Following the Colossal Titans
Honestly it was very reckless of hitch to let Annie go. If she causes more trouble for Paradis then what will she do
Based on them leaving Stohess in the same direction as the colossal titans it is likely they will pass through Trost. They will continue south towards Shiganshina and maybe the port but on the way they will likely run into Hange, Levi, Pieck and Magath, or Connie, Falco, Armin and Gabi.
Kiyomi's plane
Marley, to Annie’s father
To Historia
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE STATE OF THE ELDIANS IN LIBERIO? 1,399 RESPONSES
We jump across the ocean, only to find Mr. Leonhart starting a rebellion in Liberio! About half feel there’s going to be an absolute bloodbath, 32% are glad they’re finally rising up, 11% are focused on Mr. Leonhart being a badass, and 6.1% are scratching their heads as to how this is relevant.
I feel it's setting up for eldians in all internment zones rising up, although i don't know what significance that would hold if they're gonna be flattened like pancakes anyway
I'm actually glad because while I have still and always despised the Warriors, Annie's dad felt relatable to me, good to see non-powered, regular citizens rise up against the enemy
Isayama stop trying to be clever with names is there a single part of this series you haven't put thought into?
It is rather unsettling to see since it all seems to head towards a massacre although the reactions of the Eldians are understandable and sound.
It makes sense why they'd rise up: they know what's coming, and they just want to get to safety. After all, they should be spared from the Rumbling because of their race. As expected of the Marleyans though, they won't listen to the Liberio Eldians' current plea, and it will surely cost them (the Marleyans).
The Marleyans are comically dumb it's not even funny; I mean why would they orchestrate a revolt now
This was Eren's plan all along, he wants Eldians everywhere to rebel under the threat of the wall titans.
Why should we care about what happens to anyone outside the Walls? This scene was totally unnecessary.
Worldwide Eldian Rebellion I am excited
I'm worried about them! :(
WILL MR. LEONHART SURVIVED THE SCUFFLE WITH THE GATE GUARD? 1,408 RESPONSES
A somewhat interesting split here; though most responders think there’s more to come with Annie’s father and being killed by the gate guard wouldn’t be the right way for him to go, especially with unfinished business with his daughter. The next highest response was ‘I am not sure’ followed by ‘No he won’t survive’ with a still respectable 24.7% of the vote. One to keep an eye on, here.
Weird that she wants to return home so much just because her dad was nice to her for a few minutes (he's been torturing her all her life).
It had some very much needed character development for A LOT of characters. I can't wait to see how certain plot points like Connie's mom and Annie's wish to see her dad will be resolved.
I saw some parallels between Mr. Leonhard vs. the guards and volunteers vs. Floch. Anarchy reigns; power struggles everywhere, yay! I want to see Mr. Leonhart leading a rebellion. I want to see Eldians all over the globe rising up and busting out of internment zones. Also - we got an entire Annie backstory and it answered NONE of my questions about the crystal. If its purpose was just to protect her like the Warhammer's crystal, and she was semi-conscious -- why couldn't she escape it on her own? Is there something unique about the Female Titan? Was it a chrysalis? Has she undergone a metamorphosis? Will it even matter if Ymir is freed from her sand slavery and refuses to transform any more titans? Still -- it's interesting that Annie was adopted, and I have to wonder if her lineage is important. Final thought: I'm growing tired of Isayama sidelining people by having them unconscious/uncommunicative. I get why he may want to render some characters unable to affect the plot at certain points but 'unconscious' is his go-to and I'm losing patience with it. Okay, Historia got stuck with 'pregnant' but I lost patience with that ages ago. Wake up already, Reiner. Say something, Levi. At least Falco's awake again. And Annie, for the love of Eldia, please explain your crystal.
Speaking of Mr. Leonhart, he may be crippled and defeseless against the Marleyan guards, but at least he wasn't swayed by fatalism against his current government unlike Jean/Armin.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF KEITH’S ADVICE TO THE TRAINING CORPS MEMBERS? 1,394 RESPONSES
Instructor Shadis is still instructing, and 46.1% of you are still chanting SHADIS THE CHADIS. 23.5% loved his advice, 16.5% enjoyed the callback to being a bystander, and 12.1% wish he’d encouraged them to rise up.
Foreshadowing that they‘ll overthrow Eren and Floche.
He gives up too easily. I don't like this.
I'm glad he told them not to fight the Yeagerists but for the wrong reasons
Shadis doesn't want them to risk their lives, understandable, but giving Floch&Co time to gain even more power is not a good idea.
He's being smart and cautious because they've had enough losses for now
By far the best piece of advice he could have given them. Not is it only the most reasonable thing to do in the current situation, but it also goes to show how much Shadis values life and how well, thanks to his experience, he can see what the future might bring. When he thought fighting was a viable option, he wanted the trainees and soldiers alike to dedicate their hearts (and he dedicated his own as well), but now when he sees that they’re clearly getting overpowered and that any form of resistance would inevitably lead to death, he advises them to stay put, but not lose sight of themselves. That’s what a good leader/ elder/ parent does. Despite the fact that he failed as commander and that he was usually the only one to come back from his missions outside the walls, he shows that he has learned a lot and can strategize and draw the right moves. And it even reminded me of Levi, this desire to not waste lives. And Shadis is special, I just wish he’d realize that along with many others. Unfortunately, a very underrated character.
I am hyped to see these characters actually amount to something because of chadis!
A giant death flag.
WAS ARMIN IN THE RIGHT TO RAISE HIS VOICE AT MIKASA? 1,402 RESPONSES
Armin has returned to being shell-shocked like he was in Shiganshina, and he took it out on Mikasa, but was he justified? Just over half don’t think he was justified, but don’t blame him for snapping. 23.9% believe it was the right choice to try to make her more independent. The last two options are tied at 10.3%, saying he was completely in the wrong, and the other saying he was justified in that Mikasa needs to focus on more than Eren.
Armin has been the one others rely for guidance, however at this point he seems stressed and probably over thinking (when he refers back to Erwin).
Armin just reached his breaking point. So much has happened in one day, and he needed to rant.
Asking ANYONE to stop thinking about Eren right now is pointless, let alone Mikasa. He was wrong, but stressed out.
Both. She needs to be encouraged to make her own decisions, but he didn't need to be mean about it. She has always been nice to him.
Feel like many are misunderstanding mikasa's comment about eren. He is the biggest concern so why shouldn't she mention him? Personally I don't think she was still in eren obsessed mode.
That's a complex question. Everyone is stressed right now, especially Armin, feeling guilty for being brought back and feels so much weight on his shoulder to be a leader so to say. So it reasonable for him to yell and it might spark something in Mikasa as well.
Armin needs a nap, a warm bath, and a foot rub.
WILL MIKASA START ‘THINKING FOR HERSELF’ NOW, AS ARMIN SUGGESTED? 1,395 RESPONSES
Mikasa’s character development is being pushed to its tipping point now, will Armin’s words make her start thinking for herself? The majority, at 56.3% think that leadership isn’t her style, but she’ll step up and support what she feels is right. 18.6% feel that she’s already made the step into thinking for herself, and the last two options are split at 11.3% between a full ‘yes she’ll finally step up’, and a full ‘she’s always thought for herself.’
Armin: think for yourself! Mikasa: Where is my scarf?
Hopefully, I want to see more independence. Assertive and confident in her actions.
I don't know if she'll able to think for herself. maybe she will do something, but I guess whatever she will do on her own, I don't want to expect much from her. Anyway I have the feeling that Mikasa's own decision could be that she accepts Kiyomi's offer and leaves Paradis because the whole situation is obviously killing her.
I hope Isayama has something special planned for Mikasa's development
Mikasa has always thought for herself. She’s never been a leader, but she’s always followed her own hearts desires. Nobody knows what to do and for once it was actually reasonable for her to ask about eren, given what he’s about to do to the world.
Mikasa isn't wrong to look to Armin for leadership, but when she brings up the elephant in the room, he flies off the handle at her. But ultimately, I think that Armin is right. She'll have to make decisions based off her own judgement and I'm excited for it.
I kinda doubt that. She went to Jean, because Armin told her so and I don't think that she would do anything in the situation between Jean, Floch and the Volunteers. If she would be able someday to make her own decision, I'll think that could be to do with Kiyomi's offer to go on one of her ships, but we will see.
I think she will be an impromptu leader, similarly to what she did at Trost after eren got eaten by the santa titan
Mikasa did nothing wrong, she tried to take advice instead to run somewhere else like Connie or give up like Jean.
Yes she’ll become more independent. I think itll lead to “see u later eren”
AT THIS POINT, ARMIN STILL THINKS ERWIN WAS A BETTER CHOICE TO REVIVE. DO YOU? 1,391 RESPONSES
The question of whether Armin or Erwin should have been revived in Shiganshina proves to be one of the most contentious issues in the series, nearly on par with when we asked you guys what you think of Eren’s (stated) plan. 52.2% of you are Team Erwin, and 47.8% are Team Armin. Regrettably, I can’t make a good joke out of either of those numbers.
I've said it before, but I think Armin was the best person to revive from a story telling point of view. Erwin was the better leader, no doubts there, but it is the lack of him that has pushed all these other characters to develop more. I believe the relationships between characters and the characters themselves would've remained more static if he had still been there. So therefore, Armin was the right choice
Erwin wouldn't have let any of this happen
WHO TOOK THE SCARF? 1,403 RESPONSES
There could only ever be one winner of this question; given the girls fandom of Eren in general and Mikasa in particular, 72.5% of you picked Louise as the scarf thief, particularly since she knew it was there and gave it a look after Mikasa left. The next highest answer was Eren having sent someone to retrieve it, at 13.8%, followed by ‘someone else at 9.1%, with Floch and Jean respectively taking up other minor answers. I look forward to the questions in the future of why the scarf was taken, and how will it affect the story?
Oh, and Louise definitely has the scarf. I think there will be a confrontation over it and Mikasa will Realise Things, so that's cool.
Louise totally stole that scarf.
WHICH NAME IS BETTER? 1,395 RESPONSES
808 of 1,395 of you came out to represent Gabi Gang, while the remaining 587 of you like Mia better. Mia Myriad? Eh. Mia Myriad’s weird. I like Gabi Gang better.
WHAT'S UP WITH JEAN WHEN FLOCH IS TALKING TO HIM? 1,399 RESPONSES
Floch tells Jean he can finally have the life he always wanted, what was Jean feeling at that moment? 40.5% think he was just totally shell-shocked, 30.4% think he;s faking weakness for a plan, 16.4% think he had an epiphany about Eren based on what Floch said, and 10.7% believe him to be considering what Floch has to say.
Definitely debating whether or not to kick his head in-- once he's decided I think he'll pounce
he has been asking over and over for how long they would have to keep fighting. So Floch telling him is over has a great effect on him. Although he will chose to keep fighting.
He is bothered that the Yeagerists consider him a “hero”
He is in disbelief over how AWFUL Floch is and once his brain processes it he will snap and punch the bastard in the face
He's both in shell shock and trying to fake weakness.
I think he's coming up with some sort of plan to finally rid the world of Floch.
Jean looks so tired in these panels, as in physically tired and mentally. He probably wants this all to be over, and Floch is giving him a way out. But Jean has come too far to give up, I think, so I hope he turns his brain back on.
ARE THE ROCKS THAT GO MISSING WHEN FLOCH TURNS HIS HEAD AN ARTISTIC OVERSIGHT OR DOES IT HAVE FUTURE SIGNIFICANCE? 1,406 RESPONSES
THE ROCKS ARE GONE. About half of the fandom, at 46.2% are pretty sure Jean pocketed them to use as a weapon. 29.7% did not notice the disappearance, and 24.2% think it’s just Isayama overlooking an inconsistency.
Bitch boutta throw some rocks
I hope Jean can something do too otherwise the Volunteers would get forced to fight for Eren and to help him destroying their own motherlands (oof) or get killed. I hope the theory about the pocket rocks get relevant and true in the next chapters
Floch be a bitch with a nest boutta get moulded by rocks
Getting ready to bash floch
there was a gun next to him and then it was gone. The boy boutta blooooow
FLOCH CLAIMS THAT EREN TOLD HIM THE ENTIRE PLAN. IS HE TELLING THE TRUTH? 1,399 RESPONSES
Eren doesn’t seem to have confided his plan in anyone, but Floch says otherwise. 60% confess Eren likely told him a fair bit, but not everything, 32.9% think Floch’s just BSing his way through things to look better, and 5.6% truly believe Eren told Floch everything.
Eren is the only one who knows his true plan, anyone that claims to know what Eren is doing was just a pawn that Eren used.
Eren probably forgot who Floch even is
Considering how Eren is acting now, I fear he did tell him everything after seeing his extremism.
Floch believes Eren told him everything, but he probably didn't.
floch is an arrogant bitch who thinks eren and him are best buds
I mean, the plan so far seems to be 'let's retrieve Zeke, overthrow the government and unleash the Rumbling', so why won't he tell Floch all of it? He seems to be fully on board. If there is more to the plan, then Floch doesn't know it.
I'm still not sure how much of Eren's betrayal of Zeke he was in on, but I'm damn sure Eren didn't task him with any 'removing internal resentment' job.
Jean knows he has more of Eren's trust than Floch does. From this, Jean figured out either Floch is lying for his own gains, or is being used by Eren.
Floch is just a dumbass and Eren is using him to get the necessary pieces into place without him doing it all himself
Something tells me Floch actually just overheard Yelena talking with Eren about Zeke's plan during the railway opening ceremony. I could've sworn that in the chapter Floch mentioned that he "heard" Eren's plan, and the way he uses that word gives me the impression he only listened to parts of what Yelena told Eren without knowing what Eren's ulterior motive was when learning Zeke's plan.
That’s certainly what he *thinks*
Eren is manipulating Floch's ass six ways to sunday and I'm here for it
WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE THE ONE TO TAKE DOWN FLOCH? 1,398 RESPONSES
From previous polls, Floch seems like a popular choice to die next, but who would do it? Nearly ¾ of that fandom believe Jean will end him, though 6.5% don’t believe Floch’s dying anytime soon. Eren, Mikasa, Shadis, and Yelena were other popular options.
Could be anyone at this point, really. Would be cool if it was just some random volunteer and the death would be meaningless.
Better not be anyone, Floch is making way more sense than Armin
Armin
I hope no one does, he's the most entertaining character at the moment
I really hope all of the above and I hope it'll be a gruesome death.
King Floch is the father and will outlive the rest of the 104th.
Let him be squashed under a Titan foot, pls
Me
Nobody, Floch will be the only survivor of the rumbling
HISTORIA! QUEEN!!!! How is the rightful ruler of Eldia not a choice here?!
I hope he doesn't die at least next chapter, because him dying is too predictable. But if he does it should be Jean.
I HOPE IT'S EITHER LEVI OR HANGE. But I think it's probably going to be Jean.
I think floch is going to have an utterlessly meaningless death. Just to show the irony that surviving that day didn't change shit.
I think since he survived on pure luck and destiny up until now, I could imagine his death will be more by accident or by unfortunate circumstance then someone else succeeding to kill him
SHADIS THE CHADIS no but actually probably Yelena or Mikasa.
The 109th Recruits
Onyankopon, Jean and Mikasa, I hope.
Who knows. Hope he dies.
ZEKE JAEGER
Isayama
It'll be a team effort
CONNIE AND FALCO ARE EN ROUTE TO RAGAKO. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE OUTCOME WILL BE? 1,398 RESPONSES
Bets for the Return to Ragako arc are placed, and the majority (~43%) of you think that the overwhelming scent of cinnamon wafting from Falco will entice Connie to spare him. Not far behind, with 30.5% of the votes, is the prediction that Armin and Gabi will swoop in and save the day. The next most popular option was Falco feeling the sudden urge to die for Reiner, causing him to transform and escape. Following that was Falco realizing his predicament without getting his memories back, and after that, a very small amount of you guys (18), think Falco’s gonna get chomped.
Connie finna die
I can't think of how bringing back Connies mom will save Reiners life, so it won't happen.
Is it weird that I think Connie's mom has already turned back to human?
WHICH UNLIKELY TEAM-UP IS THE MOST EXCITING? 1,391 RESPONSES
An overwhelming majority of you guys are most excited to see the Magath/Pieck/Hange/Levi squad team up, while the distant runner-up is Hitch/Annie, followed by Armin/Gabi, and then Connie/Falco. I can’t imagine why Connie/Falco got the least votes here.
WHICH TEAM, IF ANY, DO YOU THINK WILL MEET WITH HISTORIA? 1,384 RESPONSES
With a 31.6% majority, the… quad...duo… quaduo? That’s definitely not a word but it should be, technical definition pending. What I’m trying to say is that Team Magath/Pieck/Hange/Levi got the most votes for “Who’s going to meet up with Historia?” Following that was… uh, nobody. As in the next most common answer is “nobody”. You guys are not making this write-up easy for me. After that was Team Hitch/Annie, followed by Armin/Gabi, and then Connie/Falco. The graph is proportional enough that you can see all the percentages, so that’s cool.
Historia is the key to ending this story and getting all the context we need. Which means we probably won’t see her again for awhile.
SLEEPING THROUGH THE APOCALYPSE. WHO DID IT BETTER? 1,399 RESPONSES
We didn’t ask for a reason behind this selection, but Reiner’s rather ill-timed cozy cottage snooze (58.5%) trounced Levi’s “return of the mummy” slumber (41.5%). Maybe it was the appeal of the fruit and snacks?
DO YOU THINK LEVI WILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE UPCOMING BATTLE? 1,400 RESPONSES
Nearly 60% of you think Levi will recover enough to encourage the others to fight, 20% think he’ll recover enough to fight, and 15.3% think he’ll be unconscious for awhile. The white space on the graph is what happens when there are too many single-voter responses, but we can read them behind the scenes, and one of them suggested that we’re about to learn how titan serum affects Ackermans, and I just want to say that I appreciate your devotion to Titan Science™, anon.
TITAN LEVI INC
Crack theory: he‘ll eat Zeke after Zeke offers himself up because he lost his will to live. So yes, he‘ll be fully healed and badass again.
He is going to become a shifter by eating Zeke with the cooperation of Pieck/Magath, fulfilling his promise to Erwin.
He won't be recovering but he'll fight all the same, with his teeth if necessary
He'll recover enough to make one last heroic action before dying
I don't really know. I hope he can still fight. I think Isayama-sensei didn't let Levi live to be a useless soldier.
i don’t want him to participate. i just want him alive
I think that Levi will not be able to fight, but he'll be awake, and I'd like to him take on a mentorship role. I would love to see him make a full recovery by the time the manga concludes.
Some unforeseen magic will happen
HAS THIS CHAPTER AFFECTED YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT THE RUMBLING? 1,385 RESPONSES
The destruction on the ground, Floch’s reign of terror, and the 104th’s horror at what’s unfolding seems to have shaken some in the fandom with one quarter of respondents indicating that their support has lessened somewhat (20.6%) or significantly (5.7%). The remaining 75% are staying the course with close to 40% completely opposed to the rumbling and 35% in full support of it.
HAS THIS CHAPTER AFFECTED YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT EREN? 1,387 RESPONSES
The responses here are about what we might expect; a fairly even split between those who support Eren fully (or at least think he’s got some mysterious ace up his sleeve) and those that do not support him/are losing faith in him. Interestingly, the smallest response was from those who have lost a significant amount of faith in Eren, indicating the battle lines are still drawn at this point.
Eren did nothing wrong
Eren Yeager is GOD! Bow Down!
We're left in the dark of what Eren is really planning and so I can't judge this consequence too much. It is very extreme and I'm skeptical of it all.
Another aspect of the continual violence and really justifies Eren's position.
The inner fighting among themselves is going to get worse and they all will turn on Eren.
They should support eren, and the yeagerists, not plan to overthrow them
I DONT GET WHAT IS EREN TRYING TO DO? How is he gonna claim he wants to protect his people then end up killing him ??
I hope that among his friends there are on the eren side, eren's decision was correct, although it was too cruel, but it was all for the people he loved. why his friends no one sided eren , I'm sad to think about it.
I love eren but :(
AT THIS POINT, AROUND WHICH CHAPTER DO YOU EXPECT THE MANGA WILL CONCLUDE? 1,406 RESPONSES
As much as I hate to think about the end of the manga, and the subsequent never-ending feud over the serum bowl and the Rumbling, we’re bound to become the next NGE at some point. It can’t be stopped. The majority, at 45.7%, think we have until around Chapter 134, which gives us about nine more months. Following that, 30.2%, think we have until Chapter 138, which gives us more than a year. A lesser but still significant quantity of votes say we have until Chapter 142+, and I feel a little bit like the Vince McMahon meme typing this. You know the one. Lastly, 8.7% of you think there are only 5 chapters left. Why anyone would even entertain such an idea is beyond me.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING TO SEE NEXT CHAPTER? 1,409 RESPONSES
Wow! A huge split of opinion here regarding hopes for next chapter, as might be expected; but out in front with 27.8% of the vote is a wish to see more Hange, Levi, Pieck and Magath; no doubt because we haven’t seen them for a while. Coming up in second place is Jean and Mikasa, with a number of fans hoping they will fight back against Floch. And of course, third place is the everpresent wish to see Historia once more. What on Earth is she up to???
Historia hopefully
A solid chapter with a lot of great character development. Who wants to bet that Connie and Falco are going to run into Historia at Ragako?
Give me Historia
Jean has an epiphany about himself and Eren's actions (since Floch is Eren's fanboy, like Jean was to a certain degree))
Jean and Floch will fight!
If Floch doesn't make Jean react, I don't know who else will. Their relationship has always been complex, so it would be beautiful to see Jean killing him. But as long as it's not a Jaeger, I'll be fine.
I can’t help but feel that there was something odd about the way Hange spoke about Levi to Magath and Pieck. “Rest assured, he’s just a harmless man who failed to die”. Harmless? Levi? Really? And Hange doesn’t speak like that, so to me this looks like strategizing and covering something up. I don’t think Levi is 100% okay, far from, but I don’t think he’s on the verge of death. And even if Levi will physically be unable to fight, he still isn’t harmless. He wasn’t dubbed Humanity’s Strongest only for his physical strength; Levi is smart, he’s an excellent leader, he’s compassionate and experienced. So, even if we don’t see him engage in fights as a soldier, I believe we will get to see him devise plans and strategies, negotiate, etc. After all, we still don’t know what the Ackermans are capable of. We know they have superhuman strength, so I believe we’re all in for a surprise (or not so much of a surprise) when it comes to Levi. He’s played an enormous part in the story already, but his story isn’t over. Best boi love him yes.
I hope he can still fight. I think Isayama-sensei didn't let Levi live to be a useless soldier.
All aboard the ship! Ms. HanjiXMagath is setting sail! (???)
HISTORIA BACKSTORY, OR I WILL END THIS WORLD
WHERE DO YOU PRIMARILY DISCUSS THE SERIES? 1,328 RESPONSES
Reddit continues to dominate the responses to this question, and this month there were literally more people who don’t discuss the series than people who discuss it on Tumblr. A direct consequence of banning Titan-presenting nipples, surely. Lastly, something ominous is going on in the Snapchat cult, because there were only two of you this month, down from five last month. That’s still enough to reproduce though and it makes me uneasy. Regardless of where or whether you discuss the series though, we appreciate all of you guys’ participation in the poll. We literally couldn’t do it without you!
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE CHAPTER?
hE dID nOtHing wrOnG
I mean it's not like Eren could be like "wait while you're breaking out of the wall, can ya be clean about it?" but also....yeahhhhh umm I'm not positive that Eren cares for the majority of Paradisians
Petra's death still burns... Yet I can't really hate Annie.
[Annie’s] story kinda looks like a copypasta of Zeke's but I'm glad it's established she doesn't care for her grand goal and would sacrifice everything to achieve hers if it needs to be brought again
I feel for the wall Titans, they've been conscious for the last century, just chilling there.
Isayama couldn't have made the parallel between Annie and Eren any more blatant if he tried.
I don't know why people are so surprised with Eren being in cahoots with Floch. He is already killing billions to secure peace for Paradis, installing an authoritarian government for the same reason is not unlike him. He already said, he is going to take the freedom from people if they threaten his even innocents.
0/10 no Reiner. jk, the chapter may not have "action" per se, but i love the focus on how the rumbling affects all the characters, including the eldians in the camps. also, all the pairings are really interesting. i hope the HLMP combo leads to good things for the future. i wonder if Armin & Gabi'll talk, and whether she'll learn that he is the Colossus titan, or if she'll catch onto Reiner's great familiarity with these people…
another average chapter in SNK standards (awesome in manga standards)
Another set-up chapter - would be good to see some major events occur to keep the momentum going. Also want Eren/Zeke POVs
After 10 months of wondering where Levi was and if he was alive, i fully sympathise with Annie stans, who had to wait the better part of a decade. But I'm glad to know Levi's alive for now.
Seeing almost everyone other than the Jeager brothers was so damn fresh. Now everyone's gotta work together to stop the total downer ending.
Felt like this a needed chapter to see where all the characters’ directions are headed. Whether we see more compromise or more tension between characters. It creates more anticipation and excitement for what’s to become of Eren and his plan.
Isayama been sleepin on some important characters 💤
Very interesting seeing so many different perspectives, if only we could get Historia some day
Great chapter. But if hange teams up with Pieck and Magath I am going to be very disappointed. They have no reason to rely on the the people who have been trying to exterminate them for years. I get they need to stop eren but they cant let forget the atrocities Marley has done to them. Regroup with the rest and figure out another goddman way.
A very interesting chapter. I fully expect an emotional outburst from Mikasa any time now. Maybe directed at Eren himself.
aaahh I just want Zeke
Give me Eren
Give me Historia
How the hell will Isayama cover all these separated smol groups in only 12 chapters??? Can he rly end the manga this year cos I have doubts!
All pieces are on the move, time to wrap things up, Isayama-sensei! Though I don't see any way to stop Eren, unless they maybe use Historia and her royal blood? Can't wait to see how Isayama will solve all of this.
I love the setting of the rumbling as a slow moving mass of dust and meat that we’re all powerless to stop. I love how we’ve seen it from the perspective of people on the receiving end of the destruction, from people that support it and most of all, people who would never support it but are still benefiting from it. Regardless, none of them could stop even if they wanted too. It makes the issue seem so much more real.
Annie is pretty much like Eren right now, knowingly doing terrible things for the people they care about, both have accepted the cruelty of the world and acted accordingly and is not like the world has given them reasons to think otherwise. But this mentality has only brought pain and suffering around them and to themselves, I hope in the end she changes her outlook in life and finally goes against the "current" of the way things are as she described and do the right thing.
Annie needs to get Armins head out of his ass. Floch was executing people next to his friends and he just runs off wtf
I DONT GET WHAT IS EREN TRYING TO DO? How is he gonna claim he wants to protect his people then end up killing him ??
Armin did nothing wrong. I've seen people complaining about he "yelling with waifu" and even comparing with Eren, even tho what Eren did was totally intentional, while Armin wasn't he didn't mean to hurt her, he snapped under stress, but when he saw he hurt her he regretted so much that even brought Erwin to the picture. But apparently his feeling and emotions are nothing compared with Mikasa's...
Armin made the right choice to go after Falco. His strategy is to ally with the Warriors and Marley. His tactic is to use Falco as barter. It is the best move he can make with the situation as it is. If he succeeds he gains Connie back in the fold, Falco, Gabi, Reiner, Pieck, and Magath. This type of quality help will raise morale and lessen the pressure that everyone feels. Hopefully they work as a team and communicate with each other. Don’t be like Eren who has no fog of war because he knows how it ends and, yet, doesn’t tell anybody about it.
As long as the rest of the world is unwilling to negotiate peacefully I’m not sure what other options were on the table. Obviously eren’s actions are irredeemable, but I feel that he’ll have the same sentiment Annie expressed: if this is the only way his friends make it out alive then he’d choose this path every time. I don’t think all of the blame is on eren(though he is still responsible for his own actions). Every side played a role in this and it should have never come to this to begin with.
I really appreciated the scenes with Armin, Mikasa, and Jean. The rumbling is a world-changing/ reality altering event and Armin said as much, but I'm really hoping these three can manage to salvage some peace for themselves despite the chaos.I think Eren has already accepted his own mortality re: the Curse of Ymir and has fully resigned himself to doing whatever he deems necessary for Paradis, I'm interested to see his end. I also enjoyed seeing Levi and Hange, I never doubted their survival; it also might be a further indication that Floch is BS'ing his way with his power grab when he said that they were killed...This series is excellent.
Wake up already, Reiner. Say something, Levi. At least Falco's awake again. And Annie, for the love of Eldia, please explain your crystal.
Can't wait to see Jean snap at Floch
It was great but isayama please let us see eren...
I just really hope Connie doesn't die but I'm not feeling too optimistic... I can't believe Annie's back and I'm really looking forward to whatever her and Hitch do next.
The reaction to the Armin and Mikasa scene initially drove me up the wall, because people's readings of Mikasa are just so fucking bad--she's literally right??? LMAO. Mikasa and the 104th have always followed Armin's guidance, so she isn't even wrong when she asks how to make herself useful. But the reaction to her question about Eren is just...
Levi surviving the thunderspear was bullshit. Hopefully he stays permanently injured and not overpowered again. Isayama give us Historia please. I hope we get to see my baby Reiner wake up next chapter. I wish that Reiner and Annie meet again please
I got emotional when Falco was starting to "remember" Connie. While Sasha's scenes after her death could have been written better, every time I see a Ymir reference, something interesting happens. We need to remember best girl, and finally we get to see that Connie was an important comrade of hers.
I hope Connie makes the right choices, my boy has suffered enough!
It somehow gave positive vibes despite the apocalyptic setting, and I was extremely happy we got to see almost everyone again.
I want to see more about what happened to Ymir Fritz after she gained her freedom.
I'm glad Levi is ok but i gotta know: how is he able to breathe when HIS ENTIRE FACE HAS BEEN BANDAGED UP
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fiiiiiiiiiine
Lame ass chapter, everything feels pointless and forced and the ambiguity and moral grayness of the story is gone.
Levi has to give meaning to those deaths. It's what will give peace to his heart. He deserves to fight one last time.
mikasa let me hug you and protect you
Can we agree Keith is badass? He advised trainees to not lose themselves despite the government. It's such a stark contrast with Floch in this chapter. He was so traumatized by his first mission as a SC, losing his comrades, watching them die meaningless deaths and seeing the SC fighting over who should be lived other than the commander. As he shot that voluteer he made it clear he casted his values aside for survival. In the end he learned they were just as meaningless as Marlowe's death.
More Yelena pls
This chapter was a lot of scenes I had been waiting for put together. We had Annie and Hitch interaction, an update on Connie and Falco, Gabi and Armin now heading their way, and Levi and Hange are finally back. Now all we need is Historia. The wait for her stopped being funny a LONG time ago...Actually scratch that, it wasn't funny to begin with. 😒
Levi is alive bitches
Really glad it's not all wrapping up with Eren activating the rumbling. Seeing how everyone is handling the chaos has been incredible. I was telling my friends that I honestly don't think the final battle will be against Eren. It's just everyone versus the pure chaos of the situation. I don't see Eren getting beat
The EMA trio was never my favorite, but it still kinda hurt to see them all split up.
The Erwin references were amazing!! Both in the manga and the end text!!
With all these relatively slow-paced, character-driven chapters recently, it seems as if the ending will be very rushed. I have faith in Isayama’s writing skills, but I just hope he will be able to pull off an ending that will do justice to all these wonderful characters he has built up, while rounding out the plot in a satisfying way. This story, in my opinion, is a masterpiece so far - and an ending could either make or break it at this point. Either way, I look forward to seeing the coming chapters very much.

A little history of how Negan joined The Whisperers in the comic//original story.
Brandon Rose was a rotten git from the Hilltop who liked to beat up younger kids and hit people in the head with bricks. When his white trash family goes to the Fair, Mommy Rose ends up being one of Alpha’s Head o’ Pikes victims. Daddy Morton Rose (and some other Alexandrians) are mad at Rick for not taking immediate action against Alpha. Rick knows about her hoard and the dangers of just going to fight her. One night he’s jumped by Morton Rose who wants to ‘scare him’. That’s until Rick rips off Morton’s hood and sees who it is, Morton then decides he has to kill Rick. Cue almost beating Rick to death and Rick managing to kill him in self defense.
A now orphaned Brandon is even more of a git and he hates everyone and wants everyone to DIE. He decides Negan must be the only one around who hates Rick as much as he does (he’s unaware of Negan’s HUGE MANCRUSH on PRICK) So he breaks him out and they sneak out amongst Maggie’s caravan that’s heading back to Hilltop. He gives Negan back his coat and a knife and they’re supposedly following Brandon’s plan: Go to the whisperers, tell them Rick is planning to ‘fight them’ and watch the ensuing slaughter as the two sides go to war. “Maybe somewhere in there,Negan will even get the chance to kill Rick”, Brandon says! Negan just gives this coy look like ‘mmmyeah gonna thrust it deeeeep into Rick’ but not indicating exactly what he’s thrusting.
Negan openly despises B.Rose and even states at one point how Brandon is so fucking annoying he’s just gonna have to kill him, ‘am I gonna have to kill you, Brandon?’ Brandon’s regretting that he let out this PYSCHOKILLAH but what are ya gonna do. When they reach the Whisperer border, Negan pretends to hug Brandon as he weeps over the poles that held people’s heads, including his mother. Instead, Negan just fucking shanks this shithead and walks off complaining how Brandon didn’t even bring a fucking sleeping bag. The setting sun and fall of dark also prompts him to yell ‘FUCK YOU, SUN.” The man is a gem but he needs serious psychological help.
So, he’s heading into Whisperer territory and becomes aware he’s not alone. He yells that he’s got a BIG FUCKING KNIFE and waves his kitchen knife around threateningly. It’s really scary so they’d better just come out. The Whisperers emerge and they have knives too which Negan thinks is ‘cool’. He’s then startled by Beta coming up behind him. He turns around and is fucking shocked by the size of this mother. Comic Beta is like 7 feet tall, guys. He’s a fucking monster. Negan likes to call him stupid names like ‘Frowny McTwoKnives’ and ‘Softy McLimpDick’ . He also says Beta’s a real softy, so soft he’s ‘gotta thumb that shit in’ which I had no clue what it meant at first but some people clued me in. Like your dick is too soft so you have to use your fingers to get it in the hole. Hahhaa omg why am I even typing this -
Anyway, the Whisperers want to slice and dice Negan, but he convinces them they’ve got no reason to fight him. He’s just passing through some shitty land that’s just like all the other shitty lands, but if they’ve got a good thing going, maybe he can join? He’s been alone for a while and it’s getting old. But if they fight him, he’s gonna at least kill and injure a few of them before they bring him down. Beta decides he’s got a point. He sends Negan back to the Whisperer camp with the others to meet Alpha. She’ll have the final word on whether Negan will live or die. (since he thinks Negan is a stranger and not affiliated with Rick’s group, he doesn’t get the automatic punishment of crossing the Head Pike border)
They bring an un-blindfolded Negan to the camp, who doesn’t shut the fuck up the whole way. Going on about how he needs a skin suit with an ample crotch for his thick dick and all this BS. Meanwhile the Whisperers completely ignore his ramblings. He sees Alpha and declares that he’s in LUV. (What will Rick say? :/)
Alpha grills Negan on why he’s there, while getting infuriated as he flirts with her in between questions. He says he was overthrown from his old group and he’s been wandering on the road ever since. She seems cynical about how this fucking idiot survived on his own. She asks if he wants revenge on his group and Negan says maybe, but it’s not the kind of thing discussed on a first date. Alpha tells him to quit being a fucking weirdo creep and he gets even more sexually explicit which is really hilarious but even more hilarious when she PUNCHES HIM IN THE FUCKING FACE. At this point, Beta returns. In his absence, he came across Michonne and Aaron who were out searching for Negan and they even say such. (’We only crossed your border to find this fugitive’)
Beta attacks Negan, throwing him into a tree and choking him, getting his knife ready to gut him. Alpha asks why and Beta tells her Negan lied, he’s not a stranger, he’s with Rick’s group and NOW HE MUST DIIIIIIE Alpha’s like NO, I might’ve punched him but there’s still a possibility of me wanting him to break his dick off inside me because he’s hot as fuck, so… yeah. Negan says he lied because Beta is scary and when he gets scared he pisses himself (in a manly way) and lies through his teeth. Yes, Comic Negan is a complete dweeb and strange as fuck but that’s why we love him. So yes, he lied but it wasn’t a deceitful lie. He does know Rick’s group but he was their prisoner and he just wanted to escape…he wants nothing to do with them. Alpha believes him, enough to give him a chance, anyway.
Beta isn’t happy and he mopes around. Alpha does the TV thing where she asks if Beta is challenging her position and Beta kneels to her in submission. Negan then kneels to her too and asks her to accept him in the group. She says ok and he says he’s got an erection from acting like a cuck. Oh boy. She takes his knife and from then on, Negan’s in trial Whisperer mode. He has to earn a skin suit and his knife back and he’s put to work helping the others. He feeds the horses, chops wood, hauls walker corpses and gets really excited when he shoots a pig with a bow n’ arrow (and Alpha scolds him for yelling). Alpha seems to be growing fond of him and Beta gets jealous….And that’s about where we are in the show…
#lol i don't know why I wrote this#but it was fun#Negan#Comic Negan#a little summary of the comic version of Negan joining Alpha#i used to love writing dumb reviews for the comic so this was kind of like that#i looooove Negan's whisperer arc omg it's so fun hahah#but way way wayyyy too short

When the Camellia Blooms
So I decided to do commentary this time. I usually have a lot to say when wacthing dramas but forget it all quickly.
Mild Spoilers Ahead
I’ve renamed the characters because auto-correct sucks if your first language isn’t Korean.
Oh Dong-Baek - Dongbaek
Hwang Yong-sik - Smiley
Choi Hyang-mi / Choi Go-eun - Clepto Waitress
No Gyu-tae - Tae or Gyu-tae
Hong Ja-young - Baseball, baseball dude
Jo Jung-sook, Dongbaek’s mom - Mama bear
Deok-soon, Yong-sik’s mom - Ma dukes
Why is it that society can take anything and make it a reason to put others down. Humans ain't shit. Episode 6 “Girls like me are like the Emperor's New Clothes... Good guys cants see me.” Best quote of the whole drama so far. Clepto waitress, I love her. She was weird and I wasn't sure if she was playing old dude, Tae. But she was and kinda genius at it. Men help create the traps they get caught in. Is Dongbaek really going to die in the end because it really sucks as this sad girl narrative goes. Being an orphan and or single mom does not doom you. The society in which she lived did. She was a fighter and would always win. The fact that she made it so far in life despite believing the bs others were telling her and the shit she was telling herself is worthy of praise. Episode 7 Smart girl to keep a tab of bad behavior. I just wish she had a bit more confidence, petty, and bad bitch in her delivery. This self deprecating behavior is getting old now. But this kind of behavior can't be unlearned in a night. It's so frustrating. This is why I can't be a therapist. Get a grip bitch. (kidding I know how healing works) all you can really do is pour in the positive and hope it flushes out the negative. That's why smiley is good for her but God he's annoying. He may be good and all but he had def benefited from her lack of boundaries. The dead girl at the end is the Clepto waitress. She stole the bracelet from Dongbaek and thus why the dead body is wearing it. Go Gye-tae has something to do with the murders. He is too punk to do them himself. But he knows and is close to the murderer. The timing of the alarm at the aesticians office. Tae saved her I think it's the handy man. Episode 8 Chief is looking really suspect. Clepto waitress has crossed the line to disrespectful. Is she really risking hurting Dongbaek to get baseball dude? I think extortion always been her MO. Mom was referring to her when she said watch who you trust. I don't think she's the killer but bitch is not innocent. Episode 9 I hate bitches. It's true that for some people who never grew the fuck up... Hate is their love language. Cliques need a common enemy to thrive and they are weak as fuck. It doesn’t help that Dongbaek never puts them in their place. Me and Dongbaek are the same age and had our kid about the same time. I don't think the killer is female. Unless that bitch is Ronda Rousey I would like to believe I can fight off a bitch with chicken wire. Chief is looking suspect as hell. Why is he always throwing Smiley off the track or avoiding the case. He knows something. I am by no means taking baseball guys side, however I do feel that both parents should be given the opportunity to be parents to their kid. It's unfair to not tell him about his child when he clearly wants to be a father. The scar can go both ways. You son can resent you for keeping this from his father. Pil clearly knows what's up. Dongbaek is growing up. In a way, this is a death flag. But I still don't believe it's her. Episode 10 There isn't a cloud in the sky. They are walking around without coats. And you expect me to believe that it's cold enough for snow. I still feel like Joker isn't a female but her mom is looking hella suspect. What if the connection between all the victims is Dongbaek. Maybe they somehow did her wrong and crazy momma bear was protecting her. But I really can't see her climbing out of a window. Plus the fire alarm. Trust no one. A lot of people have said the "don't be a joke" line. I called it. That ending was more of a death red flag. So the dead lady is Clepto waitress. She probably died because she obviously owes debts. Dude in hair salon was creepy. But that is separate from joker. I know this goofy mug. I've seen it somewhere (Googling it) ah.. yes... Mr Smiley was in Midnight Runners, playing a cop there too if I remember correctly. Episode 11 A bunch of elementary school kids fighting over baseball. Me yelling at my TV: GET EM!!! Let me tell y'all. I would have been on that field lighting shit up, whipping everyone's ass. Little boy go get yo momma so she can get your ass beating. 😡 Chief is acting wonky. He knows something. What's with the mom? She seems so protective... Now? What about her dad? What if Dongbaek's parents are some crazy con artists who are protecting their daughter by killing off people who conned her? They are basically trying to tell her to "get a grip bitch!" Or "don't be a joke." And did you see her grab the belt and wrap around her fist? She knows what the fuck she's doing. (I want her on my team in a fight) Why is Dongbaek not questioning her lucidity? 🤔 Clepto waitress is the childhood friend.?!. 🤨 IT WAS THE FUCKING HANDYMAN!!! I CALLED IT!!! 🥳🙌🏾👏🏾 Yass bitches. I'm fucking brilliant. Hold on... let's not get ahead of ourselves. Episode 12 This shit just became an episode of 24 “Why try to live so hard?” Because if I live up to the narrative people create for me based on some societal BS explanation, they win. They can say, "see I told you all _______ are _______." Fuck your prejudices and stereotypes. The last thing I want to do is prove some asshole right. So many people want her dead they are trying to confuse me. Who the fuck is the joker?? Handy man's dad? Is he even alive? And this lack of boundaries is killing me. Dongbaek needs to put both those men in their place. Baseball needs to know he has no legal rights, period, if his name is not on the birth certificate. It would be the kids decision as to what his relationship with his dad is. She also needs to tell Smiley to get a fucking grip and that dealing with Baseball is part of being with her. These situations can coexist and it's frustrating to think otherwise. Mom dukes needs to chill. Her son has to make his own decisions and fuck-ups and she cannot fault Dongbaek for that. Life is hard, regardless. If it ain't this, it would be something else. Who lives an easy life?? Challenges build character. And I get it some things you can avoid. But they are grown in their 30s, who at this point does not come with baggage? And fuck you for trying to make me cry. I'm at work Episode 13 Is momma bear on drugs? Her behavior isn't totally out of the ordinary but maybe she goes away to trip and comes back. Lawd we all gon die together😮 They are teasing this story line so hard. IDK who the joker is. I'ma stick to the handy man but everyone in this story is guilty of something and really it's like matching the crime to the person or the person to the crime. Who killed Clepto? Was it her enemies or the joker? What momma bear is up to? Who's the joker? Is the joker and cleptos killer the same person? What's handy mans deal? Out of all of clepto's enemies, I believe the only ones capable of killing her are Mr. Pimp, Jessica because she's desperate, or Momma bear because she's protecting Dongbaek. In which case, her death is separate from the Joker's killings. Episode 14 You think Smiley's mom may be jealous because no one took an interest in her with three kids? Hold... The ... Fucking.... Phone... It's handy man's dad??? Behind every weak man is a mother (parental figure) who never held him accountable. I'm tired of grown people not acting like they are grown, kiss and have sex already... Damn. Oh so now they were meant to be? And did Momma bear really come for a kidney? Episode 15 There is a such thing as too much motherly love. This lady is fucking delusional. Her son has always been the type to run towards trouble. Does she really think his life would be easier without Dongbaek? Really? Go-tae is cleared. He was guilty but his crime is gambling. Jessica hit clepto with her car but someone delivered the final blow. Was it Momma bear? Or joker? I think Chief is cleared too. He was just operating out of fear. So hold up. Momma bear has been watching over Dongbaek her whole life. If Momma bear is lurking in the shadows of course she would run into someone else lurking in the shadows. Bitch. Episode 16 Laugh cry? Jesus Christ Dongbaek is stupid. A abandoned mall. Really? She's like a white chick in a horror movie. No don't go in there. Run bitch. 😔 Always take the fucking stairs. I can't. If she falls, I quit. Episode 17 They look like the fucking Power Rangers and I AM LIVING for this movement. Ordering me a track suit on payday. He gets it. He fucking gets it. "I know I made you be a mother when you wanted to just be a woman" 🥳 "We'll not only feed him, we'll wipe his ass if we have to" My bitch. 😂😂😂 If this shit ends with Pil going with his father, I quit. People and situations can peacefully coexist. What's with this all or nothing attitude? And this discarding of a previous family or kids. I see it a lot in these dramas and it's disturbing. Episode 18 Pil's in for a rude awakening but it's a lesson that his mom can't protect him from. His dad may have nice things, but he ain't shit. He'll be back. Damn even your kid thinks your weak. Or is he being mean? He did it for his mom. Funny.. he's assuming what she wants. Did she ever say that she couldn't marry Smiley because of him? Did Smiley say it? That Ma Dukes said it and it's unfortunate. He's too young to realize which opinions matter Society sucks for making a kid feel this way. Fuck that shit. It just hit me. One of the underlying themes of this drama is parenthood, more so motherhood. Dongbaek lacked boundaries, even with her son. Smiley's mom is delusional about her son and life in general. She relied on him too much, babied him too much. I don't think any woman would not have been good enough in the long run. The guilt of his father dying, she blames herself, a burden she should have never had to bare, and never fully healed. She projecting that onto Dongbaek. Dongbaek's mom is seeking redemption. She did what she thought was best for her kid. Jessica's mom put up with an asshole for the sake of everyone else and probably to maintain her life. She's learning that she doesn't want that for Jessica. That her own insecuries have transferred to her. Taeks mom is selfish as fuck and babied her son, never holding him accountable. Mother's think they know what's right for their kid, but a nice life from the outside doesn't guarantee a nice life from the inside. That nice lawyer could have treated your daughter like a slave. But it all looks nice to the neighbors. People have got to let "perceptions" go. Most of the time people with the "worst" past have the best character. The issue with it all is.. most mother's define themselves by their kids or husbands. Korea does it very literally. Then, when it all goes away; your kid grows up, your husband may die or leave, what's left of you? Who are you? Women are incouraged to be everything for everyone else but nothing for themselves. When we do, we are made to feel guilty or less than for it. Dongbaek needs to be away from him for while. How this is happening sucks but both of them have lessons to learn. If they don't live happily ever after I have wasted my 20 hours of my life. This is utter bullshit. I hope they're fucking with me. Episode 19 This would have played out differently if she had a daughter. This is literally why fuck boys are running amuck these days. Moms who use their sons (sometimes daughters) as substitutes for men and adult relationships. Boundaries. To love your dad so much even though he is a killer is unhealthy. Sik needs psyhological help. It sends the wrong message that you need to or have to take you parents (family members) bs just because they are parents (or family.) In hindsight, a red flag. I don't want Dongbaek to be a match. I don't want her to give her kidney. I don't like the idea of someone younger giving someone older an organ. Once you've passed 50 you have lived your life. The donor should be the same age or older and preferably on their death beds. Especially in Dongbaek's case. What if something goes wrong and Pil looses his mother and grandmother? You going to let that man-child raise him? I would never be okay with taking any organ from my kid. Episode 20 So it was the handy man? I was right bitches. And his dad is covering for him. Wow let it be known that Episode 7 I called it! He was framing his dad and playing everybody. Why didn't he kill Ma tho? Loving people and being kind-hearted is so fucking easy. Why do humans make it so hard?? I know these dramas are fiction but someone somewhere has lived a similar life. Where the fuck would I be if I didn't have an awesome mom and a loving family? Ongson feels like Stars Hollow. Them pants are rather high-waisted. That ended well. It had important lessons that I hoped someone learned from. Good story. Why I suspected the handy man? It's usually the character that can easily go unnoticed. He has access to the whole town, knew everyone and smart enough to cover his tracks. Everyone else was too obvious but the story did a great job of making me doubt my initial suspicion. Bravo. Low key miss clepto waitress. When she wasn't being a extortionist, she was a fun character.

alright! i’ll admit that this post is going to be geared a little more towards eridan (as d.ualscar’s lore is the one i hate the most and mituna’s life as the psiioniic bears almost no bounds to how he is as mituna), but here we are anyway! what i’m basically doing is shredding canon and picking out the parts i like to make a pretty little mosaic of things i consider truthful to my portrayal. tw for murder, execution, sexual assault, mind control, slavery, death in general.
O.RPHANER D.UALSCAR:
OF COURSE, i’m not a d.ualscar blog. this won’t really matter much in the grand scheme of me writing, but it’s important to eridan, so i feel like it’s worth saying, yk? this is what eridan has learned about since he was a grub, looked up to his whole life. this is eridan’s flarp character too yk? like, it matters to him.
dualscar embraced his status as royalty as soon as he understood what, exactly, that meant (even somewhat before that, too, if we’re honest). he was cruel and ruthless growing up, though not much is known about him before he gained a small following aboard his first seafaring vessel (a dingy little ship that he planned to raid before taking the captives as slaves). instead of submitting to their new ~leader~, they offered their treasure and services as a loyal crew. d.ualscar, not being an idiot, negotiated some very strict terms with the ex-captain of said ship and took the thing for himself. thus, his life as a pirate begins. king of the sea, babey.
there are a lot of stories centred around d.ualscar’s life at sea, most being tales of exceptional villainy and gory fights aboard enemy ships. eridan takes all of these stories as ~canon~ for his flarp character -- even the stories in which d.ualscar loses. loss is important to legends: it makes the story more interesting, and, besides, d.ualscar would always respond to loss twice as brutally, twice as underhandedly as before.
he’s just a nasty bastard for a living. wields his iconic weapon and kills and steals without much discrimination. he gets his name during this stretch of his legend -- orphaner, thanks to all the lusii he kills. he’s after treasure, slaves, etc -- kid trolls are good as any, and usually more obedient. his crimes against lowbloods are told more often, but rest assured he was awful to everyone!
m.indfang plays an active part in a lot of d.ualscar’s legends. they were the perfect example of a k.ismesis, after all -- constant rivals, competing for god knows what (even d.ualscar loses sight of what they were fighting about eventually -- his romantic hatred for m.indfang is, quite literally, stuff of legend) all across the sea, taking and relenting with each other for sweeps. i won’t mess with m.indfang’s lore -- consider all the stuff wrt mind control and how she uses her slaves truthful unless it isn’t true in your m.indfang canon. it’s not my place to dictate how far she will or won’t go!!
after all that bs, d.ualscar loses the romantic hatred he’d harboured for m.indfang and just purely resents her. he attempts to turn her in to the h.ighblood because she’s become an issue rather than a rival -- she’s taking up space that d.ualscar believes to be rightfully his. he also isn’t an idiot -- an attack from him would be expected, right? m.indfang wouldnt expect him to get help -- he’s too proud for that, or so she thinks. here’s where i start to make shit up, folks.
the grand h.ighblood doesn’t want anything to do with d.ualscar, OBVIOUSLY. d.ualscar’s been doing whatever tf he wants and being a c.ondense loyalist this entire time, and he, in turn, is an issue for the purplebloods. he’s betrayed by the grand h.ighblood -- his ship is set ablaze and he dies aboard it. the charred remnants of his ship wrecks on land some time after the summoner leads his revolt. in between m.indfang being killed by the s.ummoner, she finds ahab’s crosshairs and steals it. after her death, ahab’s crosshairs is lost until eridan recovers it.
of course there’s more, and i’ll probably talk about that when it occurs to me, but this is the gist of it!
THE P.SIIONIIC:
ugh psii how i love you. i like the psii’s backstory as much as i think it sucks for him like... i think it’s coherent and satisfying even though i want him to be alright yk? anyways
the p.siioniic is a mutant used as a slave. he hates it. he’s got a short fuse and is treated terribly as a consequence, but he won’t let himself be beat. the horrors that the p.siioniic went through are more horror stories than legend -- so unspeakable that a lot of people dismiss them as ways to scare other mutants into compliance.
of course, he meets the signless, who motivates him to break his chains and leave to follow his cause. he quickly becomes devoted to the signless -- he feels indebted to him in a way, and is determined to use his unrivalled power to aid him in any way.
when the signless is captured and killed, as such is the p.siioniic. the condense uses him to power her ship thanks to his power (hence the helmsman), forcing him back into slavery and nearly killing him as he’s used as a living battery.
the condense takes a shining to the p.siioniic, prolonging his life with her powers. this takes a massive strain on him -- he simply isn’t meant to live as long as she makes him, his cause is failed, his friends are scattered and dead AND he can feel himself dying until the condense brings him back from the brink... our man suffers
eventually, he overexerts himself and dies trapped in the helm, the victim of his unnatural lifespan and his extremely strong powers.
obviously, this is an alternate universe version of mituna, so i’m far more comfortable with writing the p.siioniic than i am d.ualscar, yk? i’m cool to explore the psii in threads bc well i love him
#ask to tag /#idk if i still need to tag after warning? i will anyway if asked tho!!!#long post /#glad thats over. maybe i should do real writing#ERIDAN : this pantomime is getting gory .#MITUNA : always had no brain and two hearts .

@shhalala - I can’t reply without reblogging, this is not my main.
There is no “period” to be wary of what other humans say. Maybe the USA wasn’t aware before Trump made a joke of himself, but most people know to not take everything at face value, not even news. Which is why I was asking if the discussed article had others sources as I couldn’t find any.
“The article is inclined to be more fake than valid”: I’ll let this pass since I’ve discussed this at length with other users, but again: I’m not going to believe you just because you say so. I don’t want belief, I want knowledge.
“That does not even make sense”: I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
“Sakura would not force Sasuke to anything”
Sakura keeps forcing her feelings on Sasuke every single chance she has in the Naruto manga. She doesn’t even know who he is at first as she mocks orphans in front of him to gain his sympathy (but she’s twelve, so it’s fine that she has a crush on a guy she barely knows). Then they start acting kinda friendly, which is nice, but they never have real talks.
And she keeps asking him out even though he keeps rebuffing her. Until he stops talking to her or treating her like a former friend altogether in Shippuden. He only starts talking to her again at the very end, when he tells her “thank you”, in the same way he thanked her before cutting her lose when leaving Konoha the first time.
So it is very in character for Sakura to force herself on Sasuke, at least her feelings.
“Sasuke is not the type to do things he does not want”
Before the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke is established to be a very caring little boy, openly affectionate, craving for his father and brother’s approval, always trying very hard and thinking he’s never good enough as his father favors his genius older brother. Sasuke, at his core, is not violent or cold, he is warm and passionate, like the Uchiha flame. He gives everything he has to his loved ones, first his parents, then his brother, and finally Naruto.
Is killing his older brother what he wants? Itachi ordered him to. Is leaving the village what he wants? Orochimaru sent four strong henchmen to beat him up to make him feel weak and in need of more power, right after he was tortured by his brother and lost against Naruto, who was until then a very bad ninja. Orochimaru himself states that Sasuke, because of Naruto’s influence, is drifting from the revenge his brother groomed him into. Moreover, right after Kakashi scolds Sasuke for fighting with Naruto on the hospital roof, Sasuke is shown to accept Kakashi’s “advice” to suck it up (even though it was BS). Had Orochimaru not sent his henchmen, Sasuke wouldn’t have left Konoha.
The only things Sasuke wanted by himself were to spend time with Team 7 (reasons why both Itachi and Orochimaru beat him up, so he’d be scared into wanting more power), to protect people he loves (reasons why he sacrifices himself for Naruto in Wave Country, fights to protect Sakura against Gaara, recruits Juugo though Juugo is of little help but rather in need of help himself, and decides to become Hokage), and to be strong (though it can be argued he does that either to please his dad or out of fear).
Sasuke looks cold and uncaring while he actually is a controlled ball of passion. I love this character because he is very well-rounded and complex, not because he “looks” like he does whatever the fuck he wants. Sasuke’s motivations are diverse, and often not his own.
Sakura is forceful + Sasuke keeps sacrificing himself for the people he loves
= Sasuke could very well have caved to Sakura’s repeated pleading of hooking up. He does care for her, though there is not explicit proof it is romantic. And Sakura would not voluntarily hurt him, rather she would do it the way she mocked orphans, to get close to him. So yeah, it is in character that Sakura would force himself upon Sasuke, and that he would let her do so. I’d just rather it didn’t happen, thank you very much, and Boruto’s characterisation isn’t helping with that.
BTW, in case you didn’t know, rape isn’t always violent or impressive. Coercing someone into having sex, insisting or making it so that person thinks it is the only option is also rape. I don’t think Sakura would beat Sasuke up to have sex with him, but Boruto makes it believable that she harassed him into saying yes. Why doesn’t he spend more time with her? With their child? He has a fucking teleportation device in his eye! That he uses to meet with Naruto! He could send an hawk or ask for a picture of his baby! Why is that character, who is so passionate about people he loves in Naruto that he is ready to shoulder the hatred of the whole world for all eternity to protect them, actually uncaring in Boruto? (Because Boruto is a joke that took every single Naruto character at face value and turned them into caricatures of themselves)
“If you are pro Sasuke you should know this and know your character better”
Offense taken.
Underneath the underneath
Naruto looks warm and happy-go-lucky when inside he is a full grown demon of rage and pain (that he learns to befriend). Sasuke looks cold and unfazed when inside he cares passionately about others (so much he almost loses himself to it). They form a chiasm. This is why I love this story, because nothing is what is seems to be on the surface. Shame not many people notice it.

So now that Tony's a little older in FB, what would happen if Tony from that universe got put into BS or IM?
Let’s just imagine that the Starks are living in New York in the 1920s and that their dynamic hasn’t changed. If Tony were about 14, and Bucky and Steve were their BS ages (18 and 16), it’d go a little something like this:
During his morning rounds, Bucky notices something’s a little different. It’s subtle at first - there’s some change in a cup with his gutter kids. Then it gets a little more obvious - his dock workers have a new pulley system, the Sicilian keeps laughing about something (”My name is- no, you know what, I’m not saying it again. I know you know it Barnes, really, is this necessary?”), and his gutter kids always seem to have a plate of sandwiches. Somebody is moving along Bucky’s route and swiping his chores. Moving in on his people. They’re doing an insultingly good job at it. Bucky’s pride stings a bit. On one hand, he can’t afford to feed all the kids. He knows that. Somebody helping out is a damn good thing - not a lot of people in this city cared about packless kids with the Depression and all. The docks needed the equipment, too, and he couldn’t provide that (though he’d been saving pennies and doing favours left and right). On the other hand, an unknown hanging around his people was enough to get Bucky’s hackles up on a good day. Somebody managing to avoid not only his notice, but the kids’ notice? That was a whole other brand of alarming. Also, he was jealous. So sue him - he never claimed to be a perfect Alpha. He nudges Steve awake well before dawn and drags him out of the house with him. Steve complains - he never wants to go out anymore, not since Sarah passed, but Bucky isn’t going to let him rot away in the dark. They have a mystery to solve. His curiousity and agitation fuel Steve with enough energy he at least begins to look around in interest.“Wha’ goin’ on Buck?”He yawns, squinting into the darkness of an awkwardly shaped alleyway (a great place to hide in the boroughs), “Some filth roll into th’ city ‘gain?”Bucky shakes his head and shushes Steve, keeping his eyes trained on the piece of land his gutter brats liked to hang out at in the early hours. Steve grumbles, but settles in to wait, a supportive presence at Bucky’s side. A slip of a kid (skinny as Steve) walks on absolutely silent feet around the corner. His brown hair tumbles in curls over his ears. His clothes are posh - way too posh for the area - but he moves in a way that reminds Bucky of the Sicilian. It’s threatening. The kid does some sleight of hand, producing a place of sandwiches from somewhere under his coat, placing it down so smoothly Bucky almost doesn’t see it. Everything about this tableau screams WRONG.Bucky growls and the kid’s head whips around. Steve stiffens by Bucky’s side, already beginning to smell like fight and giving their position away. The kid’s eyes focus on a dark patch just below their feet.“Oh, I thought somebody was watching over them…”The kid murmurs to himself. His hands move as he talks and Bucky’s spine goes ramrod straight, nervous that the kid is going to pull a knife or something from his coat (as fast as he pulled out the sandwiches). “I was just trying to help out a little - instinct’s a bitch.”The kid laughs self-depreciatingly. He looks incredibly tired. The wind picks up a little and Bucky can’t resist taking a whiff. He smells…absolutely nothing. He rears back, confused and somewhat affronted because kid’s smell neutral and this one just…didn’t. It was WRONG. Steve takes a step out from behind him, not able to pick up on the same weirdness Bucky was, and slips out of the shadows. Bucky tries to pull him back, however Steve is a slippery jerk even when he was tired (too used to Bucky grabbing at him by now). “We don’t need help.” Steve snarls, confrontational as can be, and then in a grumble: “But thanks for the sandwiches. The kids could use ‘em.” Bucky wants to grind Steve’s face in the goddamn dirt. Always so polite, even when he was rude. Sarah Rogers’ only success: giving Steve manners. Woman must be rolling over in her grave right now with the way he was using them. The kid bats his pretty brown eyes at Steve, a sly grin taking over his face. His fingers dance over his cufflinks as he responds, “You sure you couldn’t use some, too?”Steve snarls, drowning out Bucky’s, but the kid seems to catch it anyway. There’s some fleeting expression crossing his face - it seems a little lonely. “Ah,” The kid mumbles, “I didn’t realize you were somebody’s Prime. My bad - stepping on toes is something of a hobby, I guess. Or a curse.”He ambles away right afterwards, shoulders hunched in on himself and completely failing to notice the way Steve gawped after him. “He noticed I’m your Prime?”Steve demanded, grabbing Bucky by the collar and shaking him in excitement.“Wait - was he being rude?”Steve’s scent shifted to anger, “He was, wasn’t he? That jerk-”Bucky threw Steve over his shoulder for the second time that day, ignoring his kicking and shouting to investigate the plate of sandwiches. He picked one up to smell it - ham and cheese. Nothing else in it. Not poison or anything he could pick up. Maybe the weird kid wasn’t a threat. Bucky was going to watch him until he proved it, though.
Bucky and Steve go back to the alley the next morning, but the kid isn’t there. A plate of sandwiches is, though. Steve snickers while Bucky curses up a storm. He has to physically tow Bucky away from the sandwich plate and the curious gazes of his kids. The next time they show up, there’s no sandwich plate. But Bucky ain’t no fool and he knows this game, had to learn it to catch a bunch of half-feral brats, and so he waits. And waits. And waits even longer, well after Steve has started to doodle in his notebook. The kid shows up with his sandwiches. “You’re more patient than I thought.”He says, then jumps a good foot when Bucky replies, “’M not patient at all. ‘M impatient. Sittin’ out here all day ain’t my idea of a grand time.” The kid clutches at his heart and laughs shakily, “I didn’t actually think you were there. I was just testing-” Everything about his body language says ‘startled’, but he still smells like absolutely nothing. Then, bizarrely, Bucky gets a whiff of Beta shock that is…oddly flat. He sniffs at the air audibly and the kid scowls into the darkness of the alley. Bucky sniffs again just to annoy him. He hears Steve huff in amusement, which must hit the kid pretty hard, though he just…doesn’t react. Weird. Really really weird. The kid drops off his sandwich plate, then jumps again when one of Bucky’s kids grabs one and drops it into the kid’s coat pocket. They turn their head and, ah, yeah, of course it’s Yuki.“Thanks.” They mumble, “Ya gotta eat, too, though. Bucky’s always sayin’ that.” The kid’s face goes through a long series of expressions before settling on one Bucky usually sees on people petting kittens. Beside him, Steve makes a confused noise - nobody ever reacted to Yuki like that. Yuki was recently presented, a sharp-edged Omega who was always poking people’s emotions with a stick, always trying to piss them off just to see what kind of person they were (would they hurt them or would they just walk away?).Even from a distance, Bucky could just TELL that’s what they were doing. And this kid was just…smiling at them all creepy-like. “Yer weird.” Yuki mumbled, biting into a sandwich viciously. Some of the other gutter brats edged in closer, encouraged by the kid’s continued resistance to Yuki’s influence.“You’re a brat.”The kid said, reaching out and flicking Yuki’s nose. It gets him bit, but he just snorts. A gutter brat (Sunshine, AKA the pissiest little bugger Bucky had ever met) grabs his wrist and jams her nose into it. Bucky can’t pick up a damn thing and neither can the other brats, but Sunshine’s eyes go big and round.“Do that again!”She demands, but the kid just snorts and ruffles her hair. “A man’s gotta have his secrets, darling.” The kid says. He winks at the darkness of the alleyway and calls out, “Even from a fetching Prime and his invisible Second.” Then, as always, he disappears.
The Sicilian knows all about the kid. In fact, he knows too much about him. He’s got a weird twist to his mouth that Bucky has seen before. “How’s he mixed up with the likes of ya?” Bucky grumbles, pinching his nose. Steve has taken to poking around the city for signs of the mysterious kid. Bucky can’t tell if it’s because he wants to propose or to pick a fight, but he’s been tolerant of it if it gets Steve out of the house. The Sicilian (”Re-nal-to. Say it with me Barnes - Barnes, stop walking away!”) chuckles heartily.“Have you ever met Peggy Carter?” He asks, mischief tucked into the corners of every word. Bucky’s heard her name - he’s heard half the gossip in this city. A UK servicewoman who walked and talked like she’d throw you out a window for looking at her funny. One who had disappeared and reappeared within a year, hanging around the Stark mansion in Manhattan. “She’s not a Brooklyn girl.”Bucky responds, frowning. The Sicilian chuckles again and Bucky’s stomach drops,“The kid - no way. There’s no way a Stark wandered on in from Manhattan to Brooklyn! He’s been feedin’ orphans!”There’s a beat of silence wherein the Sicilian raises a single well-sculpted brow. “Maybe he’s got a secret.”The Sicilian says, pulling out a cigar and lighting it, “I bet you’d know all about that…”
The Stark kid is at the docks. All the dock Omegas are pestering him when Bucky and Steve show up - the Neighbours have a way of sucking up to strangers. It’s annoying, and the Stark kid actually looks grateful to see them when Bucky calls out a greeting. Up close, he looks even more posh than he had at a distance. He’s got golden skin and freckles, curly brown cocker-spaniel hair (Steve had drawn him as a dog. It’d been funny), and eyes framed by thick dark lashes. He almost looked like a girl, all delicate and unburnt, like he’d never worked a day in the sun. The kid tipped him a two-finger salute with heavily calloused hands. Huh. Angus ruffled the kid’s hair and swiped his wrist against his neck, making the kid startle pretty violently. Angus outwardly ignored the surprise over a fairly standard act, flipping his wrist up for the kid to smell (proving he was safe). The kid stared at his wrist like it was possessed, but took a whiff nonetheless, then awkwardly offered his own. Clearly he wasn’t all that used to being friendly with strangers. Quips were all well and good, but the dockside family act was freaking him out. Bucky reached out before Angus could and took the Starklet’s hand. He pulled it in so he could brush nose against the crook of his elbow instead, a much more intimate position, and locked eyes with him. The Starklet turned pink, frowned at him, and…Smelled just the slightest bit like a reluctantly amused Omega. Bucky froze, then pulled the kid closer again, tucking his nose right into the crook of his neck. Frustratingly, the Starklet smelled like nothing again. Absolutely nothing - not even whatever Beta bullshit was there before.“Take me for a shake first, doll.”The kid drawled. Bucky abruptly pulled back and felt himself blush to the roots of his hair. He winked at the kid and kissed his wrist, taking another sniff just to be sure-A flicker of Omega amusement. The jackass was taunting him. Bucky’s eyes flashed as Steve glanced between him and the secret Omega. Steve sighed - it looked like Bucky had found a new obsession. Not that Steve minded much this time. He was pretty curious, too.
Somebody was throwing rocks at their window. Bucky groaned and hauled himself out of bed. The dock Omegas had made him work a double-shift for trying to ditch work to follow the kid down the street - his whole body hurt. Another rock hit the window. Sighing, Bucky pried it open, ready to yell at his stupid street brats. An apple nearly socked him in the jaw. Bucky fumbled and caught it, peering blearily at the note wrapped around it. “My name’s Tony. Bet you won’t figure out what’s different at the docks tomorrow before sundown.” There’s a stick figure drawn at the bottom of it. It looks like…Steve with devil horns, maybe? Or bull horns - actually, it was probably bull horns, knowing Steve. There’s a stick figure of Bucky next to him, identifiable only by the speech bubble above his head saying, “I can’t find anything without my nose.”Bucky jams his head out the window, yelling into the night, “That’s jus’ yer opinion Tony, ya fake Beta! Fight me like a real man!” His neighbours yell at him, but Bucky doesn’t care. He only cares that Tony heard him (his laughter echoing in the streets, high and bright, indicating that he’s not afraid to wander Brooklyn in the wee hours. Probably knew how to handle himself - good. Bucky didn’t need to give in the newfound urge to walk him home, then).
Steve’s the one who figures out that the fishing boat has been refinished and then stained to look EXACTLY the same, just more seaworthy. He busts a gut over it - coughing and wheezing while his amusement makes the Neighbours chuckle. For once in Steve’s life, Bucky actually wishes he’d get mad, because he can’t believe he’s been had like this. Tony doesn’t show up at the docks to greet them when they get back and there’s some murmurs of disappointment. The new finish is excellent, despite it’s old and used look. Steve is especially curious about how Tony did it (he’s warming up to him too fast. Bucky can’t believe his grouchy best friend is giving in this easily - is it because Tony’s a skinny brat, too?). They find him lounging with the street kids, all of the dogpiling on top of him. The sight stops them dead in their tracks - Bucky’s kids don’t trust ANYONE that easy (suddenly Bucky remembers his first impression of Tony. The idea that something was wrong with him came back with all the force of a freight train). Tony smells like a happy Omega. It’s strong - it’s really strong, nearly bowls Bucky over and has Steve taking a step forward before Bucky can grab him to hold him back. “So ya are an Omega!” Bucky bursts out, trying to keep a struggling Steve from diving into the puppy pile, “I dunno why Renalto kept tryin’ to say ya were a Stark - their kid’s a Beta-”Tony’s scent abruptly goes completely flat. It’s disquieting and Bucky’s kids retreat from him quickly. Steve whines high in the back of his throat, not sure how to proceed (he never knew how to deal with people he actually liked). “Looks like Brooklyn isn’t far enough away.”Tony muttered, dusting himself off. “See ya.” He said, then immediately started running. Without thinking, Bucky took off right after him, tuning out Steve’s angry shouting.
Bucky hears a bit of Tony’s story when he catches him, but he doesn’t get the rest until Tony comes back a few months later with a broken arm. There’s no way Bucky can knife Tony’s dad. He knows that. It doesn’t stop him from thinking about it. Doesn’t stop Steve from drawing a political cartoon for free for the local newspaper of Howard Stark swapping out Lady Liberty’s torch for a gun. Tony laughs. He laughs but it doesn’t change the fact that his arm is broken and he’s a little colder. Doesn’t change the fact he doesn’t come back for almost a year after that.
When Tony finally rolls back into town, he nuzzles against Steve like an overfriendly cat just to watch him blush. He nips Steve’s neck and swipes his wrists over his sweater, staining it with his smug amusement. Steve smells hilariously embarrassed when he very seriously marks Tony back. It gets Bucky thinking, just like he’s been doing for awhile - he wants Tony Stark in the pack. Steve likes him, which is an absolute rarity, and Bucky does, too. Bucky sneaks up behind him and wraps his arms around Tony’s waist. He nips the back of his neck playfully, snuffles at his hair while dodging Tony’s attempts of swatting at him, then rubs his head against his back. Tony screeches in annoyance when Bucky catches a hand and nips that, too. Smugly, he rubs his wrist right against Tony’s, mingling their scent in a way that satisfied an itch deep inside. He pulls Tony inwards so they are chest to chest. “Only Steve gets a mark? Sugar, I’m hurt.” He rumbles, grinning slyly as Tony pinks and Steve rolls his eyes (used to seeing Bucky pull this on every pretty face since he turned 16). Tony rolls his eyes, too.“You can’t handle me - you’re just a Second.” Tony tells him, craning his head so he can wink at Steve. Steve’s thin chest puffs out and Bucky wants to dump him on his head. “I’m a big bad Redline.” Bucky tells Tony, snuffling at his hair again, “I can handle anything.” Tony groans, pushing Bucky’s face away and squishing his cheeks (much to Steve’s amusement), “More like you’re even weaker to it than anyone else. Ugh, here-” He rubs his wrists against his neck, concentrating on collecting just a bit of scent (an ability he won’t share the origins of with them), and then he presses it over Bucky’s heart. Tony grins at him, all shark-teeth and bad intentions, and then rubs his fingers over Bucky’s neck in a way that makes his knees go weak. Tony smells all kinds of sultry and possessive. Bucky holds him tighter, snatching those devious fingers to nip at the tips (pressing their hips together for just a moment). The three of them go out for shakes, wind up dancing on Tony’s dime, and tumble back into the apartment together. Tony sleeps between the two of them, but while both Steve and Bucky reach for a bond, there’s no reciprocation on Tony’s end. They don’t get a chance to try again before they get another apple note. Tony’s aunt is off to join Britain’s war effort and Tony is going, too.
They meet again at war. Tony’s in the uniform of the enemy, his scent flat and blank, and there’s a warning in his gaze as he looks down at Bucky and the Howlies in their cages. Bucky stays mum and the Howlies, god bless their hearts, do as well. Tony ghosts back in the night, face pale and drawn, and whispers, “They’re doing experimentation here. Anyone who is sick - they’re going to use it as a test to see if the serum makes people better.” Bucky coughs into his hand and wonders what entity he’s pissed off. Tony leans his forehead against the bars. “That serum kills. I have to get you out of here.”Tony whispers. There’s a determined set to his shoulders that comes straight out of Steve’s playbook. it’s one that says, ‘I’m gonna do something stupid’. Bucky reaches out to snatch Tony’s sleeve from between the bars, but he’s already gone. The whole base is hit by a screaming inferno of fear the next night. It causes pandemonium and Bucky just knows the origin is Tony. It’s a terrifying thought (something was wrong with him, but something was wrong with Bucky, too). Not only does it throw Hydra into disarray, the scent pulls in Steve like a bloodhound. Bigger, better at smelling, and much more likely to bond Steve Rogers, newly minted as Captain America. Apparently Tony had left a blazing trail to the place - he’d gone for a walk to remember all morning. They all escape, but no one sees Tony. Bucky’s fever peaks and he passes out.
When he comes to, he feels a powerful bond and knows it’s Steve. He could probably identify him anywhere now. But he also feels another one, twisted and little bit off, and groans, “Tony?”Just like that, it snaps into place, like it had been waiting to for years. Tony’s part of the pack now.Bucky doesn’t open his eyes to see how pale Tony’s face has gone or how equally sheet white Peggy Carter is. He has no idea what Tony will be going home to.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans – 46
Once Shino’s suit blows up, there’s not enough time for Mika to take over the task of destroying Rustal’s bridge (nor is he assured to succeed). Besides, Mika is still busy with a very pesky Julieta. When Shino dies, we see a switch go off in Mika’s head: no more messing around with this relative amateur: Get out of my way.
After that, Julieta is lucky to escape with her life and limbs. But even when her suit is impaled, she still grabs on to Mika. Every moment he must fight her is a victory for her, especially considering she’s merely a human pilot, albeit a talented one; she hasn’t sold her soul to any technological devils. Julieta may be on the wrong side, but I still admire the hell out of her.
Gaelio, who is tired to no end of McGillis’ bullshit, is determined to kill his former friend and commmander, a man who once inspired him. And to his credit, he seems to be doing quite well in his duel, even mocking McGillis for being so arrogant about piloting a suit with the soul of G-horn’s founder. And to the duel’s credit, it’s another brutal, beam-weapon-less smash-fest.
In a crucial moment, the hand Almiria stabbed fails Macky, and Gaelio almost gets him, if it weren’t for somebody Gaelio sees his past self in: Isurugi. Someone hypnotised by the BS and whose head is filled with dreams that will never coalesce, but which will end only in his ruin.
Gaelio isn’t wrong about what happens: Isurugi’s last-ditch defense of his commander claims his life. But Isurugi wasn’t from a great family; he was colonist and a commoner, and being with McGillis allowed him to dream big, so big that he didn’t even need to be around to see those dreams fulfilled, as long as he was useful to McGillis.
It’s not a one-sided thing to him, in which Macky takes and the world makes. McGillis gave hope to the hopeless, and they gave him their lives.
IBO has always had exciting battles, but it’s often the aftermaths of those battles that I’m more invested in, and that’s the case here. The “final battle” wasn’t final and wasn’t a battle so much as a rout, in which McGillis’ shorthanded fleet poked the bear and got mauled.
But Tekkadan isn’t just a military organization like G-horn, they’re a family, and to see Shino and others buy it not for final victory, but just so the rest of the family can live to fight another day (which they were hoping not to do) is particularly despairing.
There’s a great moment when Derma is wishing he had died alongside his friend, rather than losing an arm and becoming less useful as a weapon. Akihiro puts his hand on his head and simply thanks him for surviving. Aki doesn’t care about his adoptive brother’s future effectiveness as a weapon. He cares about being able to talk to him.
Shaking off the loss of his most loyal lieutenant, it’s full-speed ahead to Mars for McGillis, who has the awkward task of having to call Orga and Eugene to his ship to talk about what happens next, even though the battle they just fought was supposed to be the final one.
At this particular juncture, McGillis believes, or at least gives the impression that he believes, Tekkadan will weather these setbacks and terrible odds as they always have, better than the group’s actual leaders. Orga likely never considered that whatever loses they sustained in the battle with Rustal would only be the beginning; that all those losses gave them was time.
The significance McGillis places on “flying over Mars” and fighting on “home ground” in the next leg of the battle couldn’t feel more hollow, because there wasn’t supposed to be a next leg.
I loved the scene where Akihiro comforted Derma, but I loved the scene with a recovering Julieta and Gaelio even more. The second he appears, the playful adversity picks right back up, with her wondering what took him so long to visit her after she woke up.
In some Gundams, no doubt this would be a scene in which the injured pilot double down and decides that, like Gaelio, there’s no price she won’t pay, nothing she wouldn’t give up, to become stronger; strong enough to beat Mika. Julieta doesn’t go there.
Having faced off against the terrifying, inhuman might of Mikazuki, she’s decided that’s not her path. Even if she didn’t see the malice in Mika’s real face, his Barbatos’ “expression” mirrored his own. Julieta will become stronger as a human, as herself. No shortcuts.
Having come back from that deeply unpleasant meeting with McGillis, Orga inspects a room full of body bags filled with comrades for whom he promised a warm place to live and make money without bloodshed. Yamagi, still reeling from the loss of Shino, expresses his resentment for what he sees as cowardly whining by Orga.
When Eugene tracks Yamagi down, he thanks him for tellking Orga what he couldn’t say. Then he tells Yamagi about a time Shino pondered whether Yamagi liked him, and expressed his gratitude that their family is full of so many different types of guys, including a guy who’d love someone like him.
Yamagi knows Shino wouldn’t want him to worry about having not died with him, but to live on, fight on, and make him proud. Just as Isurugi gave his life for a dream he’ll never see, so did Shino, and both went out perfectly fine with that arrangement. No one cursed their lot in life, because they were the lives they chose.
We end with another excellent Orga-and-Mika scene, in which Orga admits all the lies and big talk he told everyone about money and status and one last battle. Mika, true to his Mika-ness, tells him if there’s someone to blame, it’s him. Orga only “lied” because Mika couldn’t wipe everyone out. His failure to do so only steels him to want to correct that failure in the battles to come.
Orga seems to get it, finally: he’s never had to bear the entire weight of the decisions that have led to their current situation, because they were never his and his alone. They were also Mika’s, and Eugene’s, and Akihiro’s, and everyone else’s, because Orga isn’t a dictator. The things they’ve done are things everyone more or less agreed to or went along with.
On the one hand, most of Tekkadan can’t easily walk away, like Zack could (but likely won’t). But the responsibility lies with everyone. Orga’s most important job is to not have doubts, and as Macky sends Tekkadan and what’s left of his fleet into a Martian trap, a absolute lack of doubt is vital to just keep going.

So I watched this video out of curiosity.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxVM2CABL0Q
I like McIntosh and I want to be aware if he’s doing problematic things. But the entire video was just an attack on him, so as a feminist, I needed to speak out. Here’s what I commented on the video:
First of all, everyone has the right to block anyone for any reason. If I try to argue with you that the sky is green instead of blue, you have the right to block me for the simple reason that I happen do disagree with you. "But the sky IS blue, you're debating a fact and being a troll." Firstly, no, the sky is a lot of different colors depending on what time of day it is. Just like there are many different ways of looking at the same problem. And guess what? A lot of what he talks about IS fact, and the debatable aspects are probably not the things that are being talked about when he decides to block people. Also, not everyone is polite when they try to "debate". And you're not entitled to his attention. No one has to listen to you. As for bias, EVERYONE is biased, even scientists. That's why we try to design experiments to control for bias because everyone makes decisions that are consciously or subconsciously informed by past events, not even a baby can be truly unbiased. But McIntosh is a lot more qualified to talk about this stuff than you are because he actually knows a lot about the issues. Also, what would even be the other side of the argument that he should talk about to be "unbiased?" "Okay, so I talked about how being unable to express emotions is harmful to men and boys because it limits our methods of coping with difficulty, makes it hard for others to understand us and help us, and further enforces an arbitrary divide between men and women. Now let's talk about how being emotionally constipated is good for you and how being able to be open about your feelings is bad." Like, what? What even is the counterargument? He has science on his side. Also, a lot of people don't identify as feminists because they don't understand what feminism is and a few bad apples have spoiled the bunch. Even I didn't used to identify as a feminist because I thought it was all about hating men. Because misandrists have been calling themselves feminists, the two things have been conflated so that people aren't able to tell what is what and therefore don't associate with the feminist movement. But there are a lot of "non-feminists" or "anti-feminists" that are actually by definition feminists because they believe in equality. They call themselves egalitatians mostly. But they're still feminists. Feminism is all about elevating women and other oppressed groups to equal status of the privileged group (in America, this group is straight white men), so if you think men and women should be treated equally, congrats! You're a feminist! Propaganda is a huge buzzword and just because something has a certain spin doesn't mean it's propaganda. Just because something promotes a certain way of thinking doesn't mean it's propaganda. If that were the case then all news would be propaganda, all ads would be propaganda, even your video would be propaganda for the small-minded "ideals" you espouse. Don't conflate opinion with propaganda and don't conflate sharing facts with propaganda. Also, male feminists are some of the best feminists and allies that women have because they are seen as more informed and more credible than women. And it's sad that we live in a world where men are seen as having more knowledge about women than women do, but guess what? That's also the American government. And unlike McIntosh, the government wants to use that notion to take away women's rights. McIntosh is using that platform to instead speak about how we can help women and men be better. He's not attacking boys and men and so many people ARE benefiting from all this new stuff. So many boys and men ARE benefiting from being told that it's okay to cry. Also the "create your own characters" is BS for several reasons. First of all WE DO. But the powers that be don't think it's something "the masses" want to see. We're constantly shot down because "no one wants to see a gay male character, no one wants to see sensitive men, no one wants to see strong women, no one wants to see people of color". Wonder Woman almost didn't get made. And the Wonder Woman we did get is so so important because the alternative was just such a garbage fire of antifeminist "propaganda" as you might say, that it would have just reinforced the mountain of terrible tropes we already have, but you conveniently act like they don't exist. It takes time and energy and a position of power to "make your own character or story" which is why looking at existing characters through a different lens is so important because they already have the platform and the audience needed to get the ball rolling. "Create your own" is easy if your character happens to be a straight white hypermasculine man because there's already a market for that. I can create a dozen characters like that and make them successful because publishers and producers know that those stories will make money and will be willing to invest. But if my character is a lesbian and she doesn't exist only to be eyecandy for men, she's going to be very hard to market. Also, people take the few diverse and nuanced characters that do exist and turn them into the same old shit we already have, so say that to both sides. Stop taking people of color and whitewashing them. Stop taking gay or LGBT characters and making them straight. Stop taking strong nuanced women and making them objects. Two sides buddy. If you're going to say that to one side. Say it to both sides. Also, why would seeing new versions of old characters be "confusing" or a "slap in the face" to new and old fans? Why is Little Orphan Annie being black "confusing". Yeah the original character was white. But her race wasn't essential to the character so why is it so "confusing" to see it change? Yeah, Captain America is straight, but why is it a slap in the face to old fans if someone wants to explore what it would be like if he was gay? He's still straight in the canon. It doesn't change who he is. In essence gay Captain America IS a new character because it explores things that can't be explored in the original. I get that having the status quo being challenged can be distressing, but don't blame others for your own discomfort and think about why new things bothers you so much. Also, he's been very clear on how masculinity itself isn't a problem. It's specific behaviors that are problematic. I don't know why it's controversial to say "Hey, maybe beating up on people isn't the best solution and it's concerning how many shows try to teach kids that violence is the answer." Or why it's controversial to say "men are generally not allowed to be emotive at all, whether it's crying or being affectionate or even being happy and this can be problematic because generally boys and men aren't able to express a full range of emotions which isn't really fair to them." Why is it controversial? Why is this something that you think needs to be argued over? Why is saying "maybe we should teach boys to be gentle and emotive" something that needs to be argued about? What's the alternative? "All men and boys should be aggressive to a fault and should beat everything up and never cry?" Or is the argument simply "sexism doesn't exist and all boys already know it's okay to cry now, you're not teaching anyone anything?" Because let me tell you even as a girl I had to unlearn some toxic masculinity. I had several behaviors that were harmful and traditionally masculine and it took me years to unlearn them. Clearly this is still an issue and it needs to be talked about so that people like me can stop being harmful and learn how to be helpful. I'm still trying to unlearn toxic ideas like "crying is shameful" and "being aggressive means you'll get what you want so fight everyone all the time" and I'm a damn girl. These are good lessons he's teaching and I'm glad McIntosh exists. Also of course he's going to highlight people with large audiences. Those are the people we're most likely to know about. And also a lot of the "pushback" really is just blaming women spreading more toxic masculinity. A lot of this is really just people playing ostrich and trying to act like real problems don't exist. Also, I really don't see how he's playing the victim card. He's genuinely feminist and I have no idea what kind of problems you think you're discussing that he isn't. He talks about real problems men face and he doesn't blame those problems on women, but rather, he blames those problems on a society that treats women and anything feminine badly. Also, I haven't seen anyone having a polite disagreement. This whole video you being bitter and attacking McIntosh. You were really vague and didn't even point out alternatives. You just said what he did was bad but didn't actually say how he could improve.
