four to doomsday is a funny serial because it’s objectively kinda dull but it’s so SO good at showing us what makes fivey and his friends tick
#doctor who#especially because 5 is out of comission for a lot of Castrovalva#or at least he hasn’t quite settled into his rhythm yet#and 4todoom is an excellent example of how a ‘second ep’ is a vital part of a new doctors initiation#just plonk the doctor and Co down somewhere and see how they react!#we see his designated driver ‘oh shit where’s heathrow’ role#but also his energy and even a bit of mischief#making faces at the security bots and that little smile when he blocks the camera with his hat#and his tetchiness too - ‘ah! you’re spoiling my concentration >:(#I also love that scene where they’re watching the dancing and Tegan is like ‘what are we doing the vibes are off’#but five explains that he needs time to think so just look like you’re enjoying yourself#before cheerfully waving at their hosts#it’s a nice microcosm of how his outward ‘politeness’ is very much a facade#also we get some good scenes to show how team 5 works#nyssa and adric being impressed with the logic vs the doctor and Tegan’s knowledge of earth (and dry humour)#‘how’s your ancient history Tegan?’ ‘like I feel - awful -_-‘ ‘not to worry mines pretty good!’#iTS SO GOOD#I will defend this serial I have so many thoughts#fifth doctor#5th doctor#season 19#Tegan#adric#nyssa#classic who

i get why randy's quitting the podcast and i actually agree with him about having boundaries for your personal life and that he's always hated being a public figure and being perceived. Alongside how different he actually is to said people's perception of him (mine included) and that was exhausting to him.
He's going onto a new career and leaving acting so yay for him.
But he's also dead to me now x

So many people asking me for a FeiSaru week on Twitter but I don't want to hold that responsibility, I would rather join an already existent one since I'm not good at dealing with all that. I hope all the people that talked to me team up and host one, if that's the case I would gladly join, as a regular participant of course.

the neil gaiman article... im far from the biggest fan of his works, having fallen out of love with the good omens tv series, however the sandman comics held a place in my heart and im not sure i can stand to look at them on my shelves anymore. i believe victims and i am in awe of the bravery of the two women for speaking out against such a public figure, and istg if i see his fucking blog on my dash after this...
#not sure what else to say really#it sucks but anything about me hoping for it not to be true bc of personal attachment isnt relevant in this conversation#hes well loved#that well known#it must have made it so much harder to speak out#i don't think personal feelings of attachment really hold much weight in the face of accusations#and evidence and believing victims- not social trial by popularity- needs to be the deciding factor in what happens to him#edit: there are some things that i know people will jump on#terfy roots of the podcast and it being co-hosted by the sister of boris fucking johnson to name two#but until proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the accusations are false i will believe them#and even then thats at least one inappropriate relationship even if it was consensual#and another if you count fucking your kids nanny whos working for you

what’s the podcast? I need a new one to listen to
PERFECT PERSON!!!! It’s so funny, always unexpected. The host has people call in for advice about crazy situations in their life and then calls them back live on the pod to answer their questions. I can recommend some episodes to start with if you want!
