Pandora smiled, bitter and filled with a manic desire. Her sword hung loose in her grip, tip facing the floor, as she simply stared at Hephaestus. The battle continued around them, the two stood. Unmoving.
Hephaestus was frowning, mouth parting slightly as if begging to ask what had happened.
A body fell, still, between the two. And yet, their gaze remained on one another. It wasn't a stand off. Their weapons were loose, they would never swing at each other. They simply looked, allowing themselves the opportunity to look.
Then Leander had found Hephaestus, practically falling into them, and signed 'Fight.'
Hephaestus bit their tongue, and dropped their axe.
Leander's eyes widened, turning to look at Pandora. Disgust erupted across his face, and he grabbed Hephaestus' arm in an effort to pull them away.
Pandora took a step forwards.
"My love", Pandora spoke, the first words Hephaestus heard from her since her death, "What a pleasant surprise."
Leander placed his body in front of Hephaestus, and spat at Pandora.
She simply grinned in reply, placing her sword in its sheath and signed, 'Leander, my oldest companion. Good to see you.'
Leander glared back, his sword pointed outwards, as if daring Pandora to take another step.
Hephaestus glanced over Leander's shoulder, Pandora smiled at their gaze.
"You're alive", they breathed out.
Pandora's smile instantly vanished, hand instantly clutching her sword, a dark look overtaking her.
Hephaestus' eyes narrowed in on her sword, flicking between Pandora's face and her hand, "Don't."

new beginnings and starting over || chapter two
read it on Ao3 || prev. ~ next
Adrien messed up. That part was obvious. Why wouldn’t it be when he was dangling off of the Eiffel Tower. All because a goddamn akuma got way over themselves and thought they could seize all of the power or something like that. In the akuma’s mind, to do that, he had to threaten Ladybug by throwing newly returned Paris’ heartthrob off of a tower for everyone to watch, naturally. He really should’ve taken the car instead of walking.
He looks over to Ladybug across the opposite side of the tower. Confidence and wit was still oozing off of her. You can see it in her stance: her puffed up chest, her raised chin, and even in her slightly furrowed brows. Although, as time does to everything and everyone, it wasn’t the same Ladybug Adrien knew. Her outfit has changed, that was the most obvious part. It was more streamlined and mature. There were solid shapes of black at the sides of her hips that meets near bellow her belly and ends at the middle of her thighs, quite resembling a pair of shorts. Her hair wasn’t in those iconic pigtails anymore. It was in a low braid, and it was longer too. There were more changes in her, changes that are deeper and goes way beyond her physical appearance. Changes that he couldn’t quite point out, but he’s sure it’s there, hiding behind her fierce gaze.
But unfortunately, he didn’t have time to dwell on that. Not when the akuma’s starting to loosen his grip of his wrists. Any looser, and he’d fall and be squashed like a pancake. Though he was sure cats always land on their feet, with this high of a fall, he definitely did not want to test it. Even he did, he can’t. He was sure the moment he transformed, the people would fear him, even if he’ll don the black suit. Besides, it’ll most likely shock Ladybug and cause the rift between them to widen even more.
The wind blew the hair out of his face, yet the only thing he saw were blurs of color as he fell. His breakfast— if you could even call a single slice of toasted bread and latte that— rode up to his esophagus, his heart wanting to break out his ribcage, and his brain out of his skull. If he had thought he had a head-splitting headache when he woke up, now he’s sure one-hit Hephaestus himself did the honor of hitting it with an axe and proceeded to chop it up a couple more times and put it in a grinder for extra measure. He could barely hear the screams of someone as the wind becomes deafening to his ears. All he could do is think about all the regrets and mistakes in his life: siding with his father, spending his last weeks of being Chat as Chat Blanc, hurting her. His tears couldn’t even get past his eyes because he’d already cried too much of it.
The scream came from none other than Ladybug herself. Her eyes, on the contrary, are welling up with tears. After what seemed to be the final battle between them and Hawkmoth, and after he left, the akumas has lowered in frequency and in fatality. In the three years following, she never once encountered an akuma that seriously threatened a human’s life.
Naturally, it had made balancing her lives as Marinette Dupain-Cheng, fashion student, aspiring fashion designer, part-time baker, and as Ladybug, the coveted hero of Paris, much more easier. Unfortunately, because of the ease, having another person’s life in your hands has became heavier and made the pressure much bigger.
But she’s not going to let a single tear escape. Not when she still has something to say about it. In a quick flash, she used her lucky charm, a fish hook, to hook open the shield-looking front metal piece of the akuma’s suit which caused it to malfunction and reveal the black butterfly. Wrapping her yo-yo around the metal tentacles holding him up, sliding under, then wrapping them to the tower itself, she races down to try and catch Adrien, tripping the akuma while doing so. The moment her finger grazed his, then her hand grabbing his own, Ladybug’s tear mischievously slipped out. Slowly, she brings them down until Adrien’s feet touched the ground.
Adrien waited for his demise, but it never came. Instead of death’s empty ghoulish eyes, he was met with his own lifeline’s bluebell ones. Here he is once again after what felt like a century of waiting to see her and look her in the eyes once more. All the years of regret started coming back. All the sleepless nights he spent dwelling on the memories of golden roads not taken and the pain of hurting his Lady, and by extension his own soul. All of them enough to restart his once dried tear ducts. Before he could say anything, Ladybug flew up again and purified the akuma.
The seconds after she says the iconic “bye-bye little akuma” felt empty. What once was moments of relief and joy and life, was replaced with a few seconds void of any warm emotion. He should’ve been up there with her, bumping their fists and saying pound it” after she uses her powers of creation to restore the damage made. Even when the cluster of ladybugs flew by him, he just felt lonely and not energized like before. Had she really lived three years of fighting akumas with this emptiness? If before he related fighting akumas to fencing, an enjoyable necessity, he’d say it’s more similar to doing a cleaning your room after a week now.
Ladybug finally set foot on the ground next to Adrien. She was a whole head and three more inches shorter than him, he noticed. As opposed to before when he can freely rest his chin on top of her head. Not that he did, but he could if Ladybug would allow it. It seems that he changed too.
“Are you okay?” she asked, worry and concern coating every inch of her voice.
“Yeah. Thanks to you,” he said. He shifted his weight on his right foot then his left then right again. “What about you, are you okay?”
Ladybug did not expect that. Out of all the years of doing what she does, she doesn’t think anyone has ever asked if she was okay after. The only person who ever did is gone from her life now. “Oh, um, I’m good, thanks.”
She pursed her lips and her eyes wandered to anywhere but the boy in front of her. Thankfully, she was saved by his phone’s notification sound. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he looked at it and turned his head to look until it settled on a black car with a rather large man standing in front of it
Looking to Ladybug again in hopes of remembering every feature of her face. He looks at her eyes that seemed to have darkened over time. He notices her more pronounced freckles. He notices that her cheekbones are the tiniest bit less round and a little bit more defined along with her jaw. Yet all these changes seemed to do is make Adrien’s heart beat faster.
He looks back at the car then back to her. “Looks like my ride is waiting for me. Thank you, really,” he said before basically speed walking to the car to escape her lingering gaze.
Adrien takes his remaining sweet time of five minutes to just think mindlessly. That is, until he heard a small “psst” coming from the pocket of his shearling-lined leather jacket. Without a single second to waste, Plagg came out of his hiding spot and did what he does best: tease him. “So, you finally get to see her again, huh?”
Adrien just gave him a look. The partition between the front seat and the back was rolled up anyways so Gorilla couldn’t really see what he was doing, but he told Plagg to quiet to his voice just in case.
“She’s so different now. More independent too, it seemed. She doesn’t need me anymore. Not that she ever did.” Adrien’s voice was hushed and turned into a whisper when he said the last part.
Seeing the deep frown on his face and his furrowed brows, Plagg didn’t exactly know what to say, so he just hugged Adrien in the way a small creature like him could. Adrien released a deep sigh and held Plagg in his hands, staying like that for the remainder of the car ride.
When they reached the doors of his former house, he really couldn’t call it a home anymore, Plagg took his place inside his jacket and Adrien tried his best to look as presentable as he could. He looked at his shoelaces, then remembering that he slipped on his black loafers that morning. He adjusted his jacket a couple more times, pulled it down, then the sleeves, then pulled the collar up delicately.
Walking towards the front doors and inside the house, he comes to agree to everyone else. Going back to a place you were once familiar with, no matter how big it was, it will feel so small to you. Unlike the girl in the red and black suit earlier, the mansion is still as cold as ever. Perhaps a tiny bit colder, if such a thing is possible.
Nathalie, his father’s assistant even after all these years, came up to him. “I heard what happened with the akuma earlier, are you alright?” Nathalie, although distant, still acted as sort of a mother to Adrien. She may not be the warmest person he knows, but she was still there to keep track on him and worry about him. It was Nathalie too who had held his crying body that one night years ago. It was her who supported his decision to end his time as Chat Blanc. Adrien was sure that if it wasn’t for Nathalie, Adrien would be completely cut off of his father’s will, finances, and maybe disowned at most.
“I’m alright, Nathalie. Didn’t even get a scratch,” he said and smiled at her. “It’s great to see you again.”
“You too Adrien. Now,” he could tell she’s switching gears to her extremely professional assistant mode with the way she straightens her back, raises her chin, moves her glasses higher, and looks down at her tablet. “Your father has been waiting for a few minutes now, and it’s best not to keep him waiting any longer.”
She opened the door to let him in. His father didn’t even bother for pleasantries. “I sent Gorilla to come get you this morning, and you refused, now look where you ended up.” Adrien wanted to retaliate and point out that it was his akuma but he held his tongue. He wanted to say to his face that the reason why he wanted to walk was so he could procrastinate on seeing him and talking to him.
“I wanted to enjoy the early morning breeze,” he replied, straight-faced. His father only glared at him with his steely grey eyes. The wrinkles around it hasn’t changed much, which is to be expected from an man who is known for having a permanent frown glued to his face.
“Tomorrow there will be a board meeting to further discuss the happenings of the nearing Paris Fashion Week and as the successor of this company you are expected to show. Be on your best behavior and listen. This will be your first official meeting. This will set the expectations of you and let the heads acquire a clear impression of you as a leader. During the nine days of fashion week, you’ll still walk the runway, do photoshoots, and be present as a fit model, with the addition of corporate tasks. At the very end of fashion week, there will be a masquerade ball held to raise money for orphanages. Nathalie will provide you with a flexible paradigm of your schedule. That will be all.”
All of those things he said without stuttering and without the expected welcoming tone from a father to his son. He said it like a stereotypical emotionless and unsympathetic boss talking to his employees, which in a way he is. Adrien doesn’t think that his father had even once mentioned his name while he was gone. Collecting his calm, Adrien did not utter a single word when inconspicuously storming out of the room.

"You could show everyone good axe throwing," E laughed as she let Amani go. "I have no more to teach you there, I think you have something to teach me though," she teased. "I was never good with an axe, I did try but," she shrugged. "I did get really good with a gun and sword though. You sure you're not the daughter of Hephaestus or maybe," she moved back over to the table, "You were meant to join Artemis on her hunts," E teased grabbing the bow and arrow.
Tumblr media
Amani jumped and spun just as E reached out for a hug. She looped both arms over E's shoulders, buzzing with excitement. "That was so cool. I can't believe I did that. I've never done that before, but I've always wanted to." And she'd watched a dozen videos about technique--finally, her nerdy writing research paid off. "That's okay. It's not like I can show it to many people, anyway."

Achilles, the Immortal Mortal Chapter II
Last time, on Achilles, The Immortal Mortal:
“Hey, I’m Aeneas Archos, Son of Aphrodite, sexiest teen on Earth, and immortal demigod. You must be Achilles.”
Now, on Achilles, The Immortal Mortal:
“Sir, yes, sir,” I say with a salute. ‘This must be the one Eldris told me about.’
“Please, there’s no need for formalities.” He said with a chuckle.
I nodded and cracked a grin. I had a feeling we were going to get along great. He reminded me of Peisander. The thought of my long-dead brother-in-arms saddened me but I kept a smile on my face.
As I was lost in thought I heard the sound of multiple banging sounds. Aeneas turned towards the sound and I followed his gaze. From the alleyway next to the hospital a younger kid, about 15, sprinted out of the shadows while cursing and firing... I don’t even know what they look like.
“A little help here, Aeneas!” The kid yelled.
As I watched three hellhounds leaped from the alleyway behind him. I went to help but Aeneas just put his hand on my chest and grinned. I knew that smile. It was the same one that appeared on my face whenever a battle was about to begin.
Aeneas pulled his metal box out of his pocket and I watched as it turned into a long golden spear. He twirled it in his hands a few times before running towards the hounds.
As he neared them, one of the hellhounds noticed him and started to run towards him at full speed, growling all the while. Aeneas just smiled and kicked it in the snout. It whimpered and backed away before shaking its head and growling again.
While Aeneas was dealing with that hound, the new kid was dealing with the other two. As I watched him, I noticed that he now had two axes. He gripped them and got in a fighting stance and the two hellhounds growled and walked towards him. The first hound leaped towards him and was met with an axe to the snout that sprayed blood on his face.
The hound fell to the ground and slowly turned to dust. The second followed the first one in leaping towards him and was met with a similar fate as the kid swung both axes and cut its head off. The kid wiped the blood off of his face using a rag he got out of his back pocket.
I turned my attention back to Aeneas and saw him standing over a pile of dust, panting. His spear turned back into the strange box and he slid it back into his pocket. He turned towards me and grinned while walking towards the other kid and held out his hand. The kid just sighed and pulled out his rag and handed it to him so he could clean himself up.
Once he was done, Aeneas turned towards me and put a hand on my shoulder.
“Achilles, meet my good friend, Joey.”
The kid, Joey, brought his hand up for a shake as I studied him. He was about 5’8, muscled, with tan skin. He had messy brown hair, orange eyes, a black t-shirt, camouflage cargo pants, and black work boots.
“Hey, I’m Joey Johansson, Son of Hephaestus. It’s great to meet you Achilles.” He said with a warm grin.
“It’s good to meet you too, Joey,” I said, returning the grin.
He checked the odd, circular thing on his wrist and pressed a button on the side. From the top, a strange... thing popped out and started turning in circles.
“How’s it looking, Joey?” Aeneas asked him.
“All clear, Archos,” Joey said, stone-faced. “Those were the last of ‘em.”
Aeneas nodded and turned to me. “Now, we should head to OHS.” I nodded in return and followed them as they started walking.
Ω
We headed down an alleyway that Joey claimed was a shortcut. It looked empty, though I did notice a few boxes lying around that were shifting.
Out of the darkness, a man stepped out. He wore dirty clothes and no shoes. His black hair was long and greasy and he raised the same weird object that Joey had used to fight the hellhounds.
“Alright, stop right there,” he said while pointing it like us. “Give me everything you got!”
Joey raises his hands in surrender and started trying to negotiate with the man. He only growled and slipped a small lever on the side of the gun. As he pressed a different lever, the world seemed to move in slow motion as I stepped in front of the boys.
I felt pain erupt from my chest as I felt something slam into it. I fell backward onto the ground, Aeneas catching me at the last second. I saw Joey run towards the guy and slide under the second banging sound. He grabbed the man's hands and twisted them. I heard a cracking sound and a scream before everything went dark.
Ω
As I opened my eyes and sat up, I noticed that I was laying on some grass, my back against a tree.
‘Did I die?” I thought to myself. ‘Is this Elysium?’
Suddenly a pair of orange eyes appeared in my vision and I jumped up from my seated position.
“Hey, hey, hey.” He said, putting his hands up in a surrender like fashion. “It’s me, Joey.”
I sighed and slumped against the tree and rubbed my chest, it still hurt, but less so than before.
Joey smiled at me and shook his head. “You have got to be the craziest person I’ve ever met.”
“Why would that be?” I questioned.
“Well, I knew you were a hero.” He said, still smiling. “I just didn’t expect you to take a bullet for us!”
“A-a bullet?”
“Ooh, that’s right!” He said while snapping his fingers in realization. “You didn’t have guns about two thousand years ago.”
“What is... a gun?” I asked him, still confused.
“Ummm, well.” He said while scratching his chin. “It might just be easier to show you.”
He reached behind him and pulled the strange thing from before, a gun, as he called it.
He smiled, his face glowing with pride. “This right here is a gun, one of my babies.”
I looked at him strangely. “That’s not a baby.”
He deadpanned and I started laughing. Soon enough, he joined in and started laughing too.
After a few minutes of mindless chatter, Aeneas returned and grinned at us before speaking. “We should probably get going, now that Sleeping Beauty here is awake.”
I nodded and stood up while brushing off my jeans and joining them in walking towards the school.
After a few minutes of walking, we came face to face with... a wall?
“Uh, Joey?” I looked at the son of Hephaestus strangely. “This is a wall.”
He laughed and pressed the omega symbol on the wall that I hadn’t noticed before. The wall glowed white and turned into a pair of gleaming golden doors. As Joey opened them I was met with a warm light and the sound of people laughing. We all stepped through the doors and into the warm sunlight. I felt soft grass under my feet and looked around.
So this was it.
Olympus.

Beautiful War
Part 1:
For all his years at camp halfblood keith had never questioned why lance wore a mask.
Of course when he first showed up he found it a little strange seeing a guy around his age wandering around the camp with a silver mask in a permanent  blank expression. But considering he had been given a ride on the back of a flaming lion he really didn't question it at the time just putting it down as more weird Gods stuff.
Even after being claimed as a son of Ares and being at the camp for nearly three years now, keith still hadn't seen Lance’s face.
Not even during meal times would he remove it, instead he would sit on the hermes table amongst the unclaimed kids with his hood up and mask on.
If Hunk hadn’t of told him over wise Keith would of assumed Lance didn't actually eat at all.
Hunk was one of the few people he had seen Lance talk to, he would hang around the son of Hephaestus and chatter away for hours in the forg.
It was with Hunk that Keith actually heard the guy laugh and he was sure his heart stopped from the sound.
The entire forge fell silent and watched the masked boy laugh and laugh, unable to tear their attention away until the heavenly sound ended.
That was also the day that Keith began to question the mask.
“I tried asking him once when i was stuck in the infirmary after i broke my arm on the climbing wall.” Hunk explained as lance slept a little away from them.
The three of them had been sent on a quest to retrieve the stolen head of medusa from a demigod named Lotor who was supposedly the son of Hades.
They had spent days walking through the woods, following the celestial bronze tracker Hunk had created to find the head.
Lance had pretty much dropped from exhaustion and the other two followed quickly behind him. Though while Lance had fallen asleep straight away Hunk had prepared something to eat for himself and Keith.
That was when the subject of Lance’s mask came up.
“He said he got hurt before coming to camp and was told to always cover his face by his mom.”
“Why would his mom tell him to cover his face? I mean there's plenty of kids with scars at camp.” Keith questioned.
“Dunno, but when a Goddess tells you to do something it's usually a good idea to do as you're told.” Hunk shrugged.
Keith’s expression morphed into one of confusion “i thought Lance was unclaimed.”
Hunk slowly shook his head “Nah he was claimed right before he came to camp, told us all as much but refused to tell anyone who his mom is. You can imagine everyone was suspicious, Alfor almost turned him away thinking he was some kind of monster in . But Coran stood up for him, taking full responsibility for watching him and well he's been there ever since.”
Keith was quiet for a moment looking over Lance’s sleeping form…
Why would he hide who his mom is? Maybe it's some minor goddess of something embarrassing like sewage and didn't want anyone to know?
Keith was so deep in thought he didn't realise they were being watched until a tall figure with long white hair walked out of the shadows with an army of skeletons behind him.
Before Keith could grab his sword or hunk his Axe, Lotor had picked up Lance by the throat and was holding a knife by his gut.
“One wrong move and i spill his gu- whys he wearing a mask?” Lotro asked looking from his captives to Lance.
He waved a hand over it and a smirk spread across his face “oh very clever little demigods, you've got yourself a mist mask. No mortals would question you wearing this little thing.” He chuckled.
It was a cold laugh that sent a cold sweat running down keith's back. Lance was still fast asleep and completely vulnerable.
Then again so were they, the skellington's had them surrounded and even if they didn't then it wasn't like they could fight a pile of bones, what in hell was he even meant to stab?
“Though i don't understand why it appears so plain to me…? Lotor mumbled as he removed the mask.
Lotor dropped both mask and boy to the ground.
Hunk gasped and Keith froze as they saw it.
Lance’s face.
Keith had always imagined Lance’s face to be a gnarled and twisted ugly face with a hooked nose and crooked teeth.
However the face looking at them was the most beautiful thing he ever saw.
It was like an Godly light shone from his features causing his heart to twist painfully in his chest from the intense longing that just looking at him caused.
Keith was so mesmerised that he almost didn't notice the long burn scar that covered the side of his face covering the left corner of his forehead and his cheek.
That one flaw was the only thing keeping both Keith and Hunk from weeping at his beauty.
Not Lotor however.
Lance made a small groaning nose as he woke up looking around only to jump in surprise at the sight of Lotor standing over him.
Lance scrambled back as Lotor crouched down to touch his face.
It was then that Lance realised his mask was gone and really began to panic. “DON'T LOOK!” he screamed covering his face.
And with that the trance was broken and they could think again.
“W-what happened?” Keith stuttered feeling as though he had just woken up from a long sleep.
“Lance!” Hunk called as Lotor threw his coat over him and had skellington's hold him high  their heads.
“Change of plans, you can have the head of Medusa. It's in a cave east of here. I've got a much greater prize.” Lotor smirked as he gestured for a skellington to come closer “Tell the boss that i shall be returning with the child of Mesperyian.”
“No! STOP!” Keith yelled running forwards trying to grab them only to have his fingers fall through the shadows and he tumbled to the ground.
“I don't understand…” Hunk sobbed terrified for his best friend “Lance can't be her son… he just can't be!”
Keith looked over his shoulder at him, fists clenched so tightly his nails drew blood “Who is Mesperyian.”

Despite her parents being against Osana taking a gap year, she could not handle another year going under all that pressure and try to reach those social expectations that seemed beyond impossible for her.She knew better than anyone that a break was needed or else she would lose it. However, it was never in her plans to be misguided to an empty appartment and fill the role of a deceased person.
Raph, wreck the internet. Tag. V11 ; ⁽ ᵖᵘᵇˡⁱᶜ ᶜʰᵃᵗʳᵒᵒᵐ
Coded to look and be seventeen years old, Osana kept aging despite not actually growing up “physically”.Because she comes from a game that has been and currently still is under development, she might glitch from time to time especially because she is the first rival to be programmed.
Android verse. Tag. V12 ; ʰᵒʷ ᵐᵃʸ ᴵ ʰᵉˡᵖ ʸᵒᵘ?
Loosely based on Detroit: Become Human. Lovesick is a company who created androids for people who were struggling with mental illnesses and required a twenty-four hours seven days a week watching service along someone who would have all knowledge in synthoms and be able to help with the recovery, plus prepare meals, keep everything clean in case the person itself was not capable of doing so, etcetera.    Because such task was time-consuming and drained most humans if not everyone’s energies, this androids were programmed. They even have bodies resambling humans, including synthethic organs, to put their humans in charge at ease.    Each model has a default personality to make them resamble more a human—as well as they are perfectly capable of being empathic and feel emotions although not as strongly as humans ( or that is assumed ).
Miraculous Ladybug verse. Tag. V13 ; ⁽ ᵇᵉ ᵖʳᵉᵖᵃʳᵉᵈ ⁾
Ox holder. Some punks were bothering an old man in a park and Osana wasn’t about to watch how they beat up an elder person, where was the respect nowdays!  Sprinting her way towards them, she used without much thinking her bag to knock one down before positioning herself in front of the man, acting as shield.    The situation quickly unfolded to a full-combat in which she knocked out the three guys and was panting heavily but even then, she turned around to ask the elder if he was alright only to find a small box on the floor instead of the man.    Huffing, she grabbed the box as a token and carefully read a puzzling note: Ox miraculous — Holders: they are persistent but stubborn, cautious but hesitant, moody and quick-tempered but caring with a fragile soul.    The redhead did not understand the meaning behind those words until she got home and wore the strange jewel inside the hexagonal box, a blue choker of sorts with five pale yellow spikes. Unbeknown to her, a magic creature appeared in front of her.    After a mild-breakdown of not understanding this responsability, Osana became the miraculous holder of the Ox, with her kwami named Stompp. and currently protects a part of Japan under the name of Lán-acier. Her transformation phrase is ‘Stompp, break through’ whereas her de-transformation is ‘Stompp, throw back’ and her weapon is a hammer that, much like Chat Noir’s baton, has length-changing feature and a split one—in this case, when her hammer is split in half, they apear to be two dull axes. Note. her hair is done in a braided updo hence why it appears as short.
Percy Jackson & the Olympus  Tag. V14 ;
Daughter of Ares, 17 years old. Being chased by monsters at age ten, Osana learnt the truth about her biological father whom was a Greek God—Ares, God of War. Her mother was able to see through the mist.    Joining the Camp Half-Blood, she learn combat fighting skills and surviving ones; although she, sadly, learnt as well that most ( if not all ) Ares kid were rebels without a cause and liked to cause arson just because. In that aspect, Osana usually stays at Athena’s cabin and feels she should be a daughter of hers due having more ‘noble’ aspects of combat and civil conduct when it comes to battle.    Habilities she possesses as daughter of Ares: - Physically Enhanced. beyond stronger than average, fast and agile due to having the physical structure, upper body strength. - Telumkinesis. expert in all weapon usage and she may even have some degree of magical control over them. Osana does not have a weapon of preference. - Weapon Conjuration. She is able to transform any object around her into any weapon and/or tool through sheer concentration. - Weapon Curses. She is able to place curses on her opponents weapons. - Odikinesis. She has limited control and influence over the emotions of war (such as hate and rage). She would unknowingly use this ability to induce violent fights with others. - Powerful Scream (limited). Able to generate a powerful scream capable of causing her opponents extreme pain and discomfort. - Pyrokinesis (limited). Able to generate heat and fire to a certain degree. However, compared to Hephaestus’ children, her powers are inferior.

Shit, when he needed to do something the most, his powers failed him. Guess he had to do things just like he did at the Hephaestus trial. With his bare hands. Jasper wasn’t the type of person to sit back and allow other people to get hurt, and seeing the new kid continuously get attacked by the undead creature made him uneasy. In the spur of the moment, Jasper grabbed the son of Zeus and pulled him behind him, putting himself between the bear and the other demigod, now standing side by side with Gus. He may not have been any less vulnerable to attacks than Titus may have been, but Jasper felt assured now that he was safe from a future hit from the bear, willing to take the burden. And with his axes raised high, Jasper swung them down at the bear’s arm with great momentum, hoping to severe it off and stunt its ability to attack and move.

*- Author’s note: I almost got into trouble with the story idea that’s executed in this chapter. Although the issue was resolved, I fear I cannot continue the story without causing trouble like this. ))
Despite Rhea wearing a mask, Camille and the rescue team can tell she’s staring straight at them. She was standing elegantly and has commanded every patrol in the prison cells to leave so that the Olympians won’t be harmed.
Camille pointed her .96 Gal Deco at the Titan, Emerald changed into her Olympian form again to aim her bow straight at Rhea’s face, and Telemachus aimed Agent 3’s Hero Splattershot with Camille. Chaodis had Camille’s back with his Mini-Splatling
“Why did you kidnap my sister?” Emerald questioned.
Rhea didn’t answer.
“Excuse me, your majesty, but it’s rude not to answer,” Camille noted.
Still, Rhea didn’t answer.
“Answer us, Rhea!” Emerald was ready to fire an arrow.
Rhea still wasn’t answering, and instead, she sighs. She looked down at something else.
“Rhea, answer please!” Emerald shouted.
“Phoebe foresaw this coming,” Rhea warned, “You have to leave right now.”
“Not without my sister, Sapphire!” Emerald demanded. “You kidnapped her!”
“Only to help our cause,” Rhea rationalized, “And the Champion of Artemis has failed to bring peace between us and the Olympians.”
“Sapphire…” Camille continued glaring at the Titaness.
“She wasn’t the only one that wanted to bring peace,” Rhea stated.
“We don’t have time to talk about this, where is Sapphire!” Camille demanded.
“Camille! Emerald! I’m right here!” Sapphire was found across Camille and her team and a few floors up. She was still in her Olympian form.
Rhea looks at Sapphire’s cell. “She’s an Olympian’s champion, she must be killed. Her body would be dumped in the depths of Tartarus as food for those already there.”
Emerald wanted to fire, but she fires her arrow at one empty cell as a warning fire.
“You Titans are sick!” Emerald commented.
“There’s nothing I can do to stop the execution,” Rhea replied.
Chaodis smiled at Rhea and then stepped forward. “Your majesty, we can tell you’re torn, but what you’re doing is making it worse. All we ask from you is to give back the Champion of Artemis. Can you do that?”
Rhea looked at Chaodis for a moment and she nods. “Very well… but remember that I am still your enemy until the end of the war.”
Sapphire, at first, can see a potential change of heart in Rhea.
Rhea opens Sapphire’s cell, she has the inkling in her hands. She was about to move her close enough to get to Camille and the others but stops. Sapphire looked confused and looks at Rhea.
“Rhea?” Sapphire asked.
Rhea quickly gasped, gripped on Sapphire tightly and retracts her arm away from Camille and her rescue team. Emerald and Camille were shocked; Camille quickly got into her Olympian form and prepares Athena’s spear for a possible fight. Telemachus did the same while Chaodis stepped back.
“Ahhh!! Help!” Sapphire began to struggle. There was fear in her eyes which flooded with tears.
“Sapphire!” Emerald called out. “Hang on! We’re coming to help!”
“Rhea what are you doing!?” Camille shouted.
Rhea was gasping and wheezing, she began to shake a bit, and she was staring straight at Camille. She looked one more time at Sapphire and looks back at Camille.
“….Forgive me….” Rhea then has her hands around Sapphire. “But it is not me who making me kill…..”
Sapphire screamed. “Camille! Emerald!! Help me–!!!”
Rhea’s tightens her hands on Sapphire to the point of crushing her to death. It didn’t make the inkling splat, but it did make ink burst. She relaxes her hands; she moves one hand away to reveal a lifeless inkling body that is Sapphire.
Emerald’s eyes and Camille’s eyes widen and their irises shrink.
Emerald stared at Rhea’s hands; they were stained with blue ink.
Rhea throws the lifeless body of Sapphire to them. Sapphire now just lays there in front of Camille and Emerald. Her eyes were closed and with no expression on her face.
Camille quickly runs to Sapphire and checks if she is alive. There’s a faint heartbeat and a faint sound of groaning. Camille was still worried. Sapphire manages to open her eyes slightly and look at Camille; she gave weak smile.
“Sapphy…” Camille tears up.
“Camille… You did come… I… ” Those ended up being Sapphire’s last words before she gave her last breath. Her eyes stayed forever closed.
Camille then didn’t hear her heartbeat while the warmth from the body was beginning to escape. She moves closer with terror still in her eyes.
“S-Sapphy…” Camille doesn’t get a response. “Sapphy… don’t go….. don’t go please….. please…” She was now weeping.
There was a pain in her chest. It was the same pain she felt from her dream of Camilla accidentally killing her sister Hippolyta during hunting.
I’ve never felt like that before… It never experienced it. I was always tough and never let it get to me….. but losing Sapphire like that……. it hit me.
“Sapphy! Sapphy please don’t do this to us!” Camille yelled.
Emerald quickly walks over slowly to the lifeless Sapphire and she tears up as well. “Sapphire……. No….”
Camille was close to crying now. A few gasps, a few tears coming down, and a hand covering her mouth showed it.
Emerald has a moment of silence and looks down, tearing up. She then turned to Rhea and screamed in rage, beginning to fire all her arrows with Apollo’s bow. All the flashes the arrows made on impact pushes Rhea back little-by-little.
Emerald fires three arrows directly at Rhea’s face and shatters the queen’s mask. She then fired another three arrows at the exposed face.
Rhea mask shattered into smoke and metallic shards, and she quickly covered her face in pain. Moments layers to reveals her real face: a woman’s face made of a mosaic of sapphire and lapis. Her eyes were a black void with blue emeralds for irises.
She then turned around, turned into smoke, and retreated.
“Don’t you run from me!” Emerald’s eyes turned black and pulled out the throwing daggers, she runs and jumps off the ledge.
Telemachus, while in his Olympian form, had a few undead prisoners summoned to stop Emerald. They manage to catch Emerald and grab her arm. She struggled as the smoke disappears.
“Emerald! Don’t do that!” Telemachus runs over to help her up. “Grab my hand!”
Emerald did so, but once she’s helped up, she turns back to try and go after Rhea. Telemachus and the undead prisoners disarm her and hold her down. She still struggles in rage and heart-brokenness.
“Emerald! We came only to save Sapphire!” Telemachus reminded.
“She killed my sister!” Emerald eyes were still black.
The undead prisoners continued to hold her down.
Camille was still looking at Sapphire’s face. She placed a hand on her cheek and she gave a kiss on the forehead. She whispered something to her, hoping Sapphire can still hear them. Moments later she took a few breaths and then picked up Sapphire’s lifeless body.
“There’s no time to stand around, we have to leave,” Camille commanded.
Telemachus and his undead prisoners had to drag Emerald while she was still predatory. Minutes later she’ll calm down and just follow Camille who was carrying Sapphire.
As Camille’s began to get going, Minotaurs and Nagas already arrived to fire arrows and throwing axes at them. Chaodis looked at them and sighs; he then continues following the rescue team.
We made sure we escaped with Sapphire. The only thing to figure out is how we are supposed to get out of there.
They returned to the piers where they began, and Camille let Emerald hold the lifeless Sapphire. Camille looks for a way off the planet. Telemachus was back in his Agent suit, checking behind the team along with Chaodis. They made sure the patrols didn’t chase them down to the piers.
“We can use an escape plan right now!” Telemachus demanded.
“I’m trying to find a way, Telemachus!” Camille responded.
“Well do it quickly!” Telemachus replied as his personality, Homura.
Camille was trying to put aside what just happened for a while so that she can focus on how to get out of the planet. She reflected a bit on the ritual and remembered the lightning. If they got here by lightning, she thought, then that means we can get back by lightning. And finally, there was an idea.
Camille stands at the end of the pier points Athena’s spear up high and activates Zeus’s lightning bolt from within the weapons.
“Guys, come on.” Camille reaches her hand out.
Telemachus, Chaodis, and Emerald came up to hold Camille’s hand. Soon, blue lightning came down and struck the spear and there’s another flash of light. The whiteness fades and they appear back at the entrance to the caverns of Hephaestus’s Forge.
They would later bring Sapphire’s dead body to Hephaestus who stared at it grimly. He takes the antler crown off her and she returns to wearing her casual clothes.
“What will happen to that?” Emerald asked while looking at the antler crown
“It returns to the vault,” Hephaestus explained, “waiting for its next champion.”
The cyclops them began to set up a funeral event in one of the forge rooms.
Emerald made sure the message about Sapphire’s death gets to her parents. Telemachus did the same, sending the message to Agent 7, Justinian and Sea Angel Splatoon, and then sending it to Agent Blueshift and Agent 2.
Camille has yet to send this message to her family but was very hesitant.
Telemachus places Sapphire in a glass case and preserved the body with a purple fire that doesn’t burn the corpse. A funeral was performed with Emerald and Camille were the first to place blue roses. Celeste and Nebula attended, shocked to hear what happened to Emerald’s sister. Arsenic didn’t get to know Camille or the others well, but a friend she never got to know is worse than a friend you once knew.
Hephaestus and his Cyclopes attended the funeral, sharing the same feelings the inklings have right now. At one point, Hephaestus placed a splattershot that Sapphire taught him how to make along with two books. One was Diana Artemisia’s Nature Journal and the other was his book on making weapons and tools.
Chaodis also attended, standing next to Camille and hoping to comfort her.
At night, Emerald has instructed her parents, Nebula’s parents, Agent 7, Circe, and Sandra the directions to Hephaestus’s Forge through the shortcut in Octo-Valley.
When they finally arrived, they were amazed by the underground forge. They had no time to sightsee since they’re only there to attend the late funeral. Jacar and Sylver paid their respect and showing the most emotion. Blueshift and Agent 2 shares the same grief with Emerald’s parents; they, too, paid their respects. Agent 7 just stood silent and only took one glance of Sapphire’s resting place; although he didn’t know much of Emerald’s sister, he couldn’t help but share the grief. Circe and Sandra felt the same grief and paid their respects.
Camille was outside Hephaestus’s forge, still wearing her Wonder Inkling Nemo uniform but with the mask off. She finally notified her parents of the tragedy. However, she lied about Sapphire’s resting place. After that, she requested Agent 7 to make a false grave in Inkopolis.
I had to lie.
The reason I didn’t want to tell my parents this was because who knows what they’ll do if they find out what I’ve been actually doing. Sapphire’s death was that point where I can’t return to being just a normal squid.
The Titans killed Sapphire… and they’re going pay for what they did!
