Deep Below Ground - Part 2: Taken
By William F. Fazworth.
Before I begin, ABOUT DAMN TIME!
Hey y'all, it's been awhile since I continued my Minch (Maritza X Finch) fic set in my HN AU, Masks of The Ravens.
As a small recap, last time in the Prologue, both of our loving crows have been taken below after discovering that Mya is most likely dead.
For more info, go and read it!
But now it's time to see what happens to our dynamic duo as they awake...
Deep Below Ground.
????, October 7th 1996:
"Mari? Mari?!"
The echoing voice buzzes through the mind of Maritza Esposito, her head aching from... what happened actually? The girl wondered that as she tried to sit up right, she could slowly begin to make out the buzzing sound as the lone lightbulb, the soft floor really being a mattress, and the face in front of her... it was Finch.
"Mari are you okay?!"
"Ugh... what happened?"
"He... he caught us."
Maritza sprung back to life almost as if her reflexes demanded it, the revelation, it can't be possible?! It... it's all coming back to her, the bloody shovel, the loud bang.... the memorial dedicated to Mya.
Mr. Peterson must've killed her.
"NO!" Maritza screamed, "H-How long have I been out?!" She asked Finch, grabbing his arms in a panic, she quickly answered "I-I think six hours?? I-I don't know, I'm losing track." He added on, "I don't know why we even ended up here together, maybe the others are together too?" She asked with a sense of desperation in her mouth.
Maritza on the other hand was still in disbelief, she failed, she failed her mission to free the others, to save Nicky, to save the other Peterson kids... the only thing she succeeded at was finding out Mya's fate. "Wait what about Ivan? Is he captured?" Mari asked, Finch shook her head "Not a clue, all I know is that we're stuck right here and I'm starving, all I hope is that Peterson doesn't leave us to starve-"
The door suddenly swings open and in came their captor, Mr. Peterson.
The large man was intimidating, his face almost shrouded by the shadow lying outside that door before he entered the basement door. Maritza got on her feet and held Finch back, ready to shield her. That was when she noticed what was on the man's hands, a tray with plates of what appear to be pieces of chicken, there was also bottles of water on said tray. The man simply placed the tray down, saying "Your food for the night, that's all." He then simply walked back into the darkness, Mari tried to seize the opportunity to run out as he turned his back, but she was too late, the door shutting in her face.
"HEY!" She screamed, pounding her fists on the door "LET US OUT!" She screamed whilst continuing to bang on the door. As if like clockwork, she could hear a sound come from behind the walls, it was... carnival music.
"It's starting again."
Maritza turned to Finch, seeing her look almost frustrated "I thought that music was gone for good." The young girl looked at her friend with a confused expression, has this music been playing for awhile? And why does it seem so... familiar? "How long has this been playing?" She asked.
Finch slid down by a nearby wall onto the floor "Forever." She muttered, her hands practically covering his ears at this point "I just want this music to stop, it was fine at first but now it's just irritating." He added on. As this went on, Maritza looked around the room a bit further, there was a small porta potty in the corner, straight out of the school's outdoor yard. There's windows and outside them were drawings of a fake outside, lit up by some sort of glow. And of course there was the mattresses on the floor, each containing a pillow and blanket, though not covered in sheets.
"This... this is a fake home, isn't it?"
The realization dawned on the two young teens, combining all the aspects with the fact that they were being fed? Peterson wasn't kidnapping kids to kill them, he's kidnapping them to force them to live down here.
Maritza grabbed the tray of food and walked over to Finch "There's no way we're leaving, at least, not now. We might as well make ourselves company." She offered the latter the tray of food, Finch nodded, with Maritza sitting by next to him.
The two looked at each other as they took a bite.
Wondering what will happen to them.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you all once again for reading this, sorry for the late update, hopefully college won't get in my way for the rest of the series.
We're pretty much halfway through and I hope your ready for the next one, though I must warn you.
It really isn't for the faint of heart.

We Can Use Her: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ

Summary: A forest protector meeting.
P.S., before you guys get all up in my business, I'm convinced these guys are forest protectors.
"She's onto us!", screamed Valeria.
There was a meeting going on in the Raven Brooks woods. Valeria Abanate, Gerda, Mayor Tavish, Officer Leslie, and Mr. Murtaugh were there.
While this may seem like a normal meeting to anyone, they were really a cult who were in the middle of a genius plan...that's currently getting foiled by a little girl named Trinity Bales.
"Valeria, calm down, would you?", said Leslie, seeming bored.
"No, Leslie, I will not calm down. Our plans are getting foiled by a little girl who doesn't even know what she's doing! And what's worse is that she's dragging along her little friends too.", she rambled.
"I'm with Valeria on this.", said Gerda. "If word gets out about anything, we'll all be ruined. You heard what happened to Theodore. If a bunch of kids could put that psycho in jail, then who knows what'll happen to us if she finds out about us!"
Mayor Tavish pressed his temple like it hurt. "You're not wrong. She may be smart for her age, but she's still a dumb little child. All of them are."
"Oh yeah? Could dumb little children survive a bear trap?!", Mr. Murtaugh asked rhetorically.
They all busted out into an argument, talking over each other. Everyone's breaths stilled when they heard a whoosh sound coming from the distance, and then they saw the crow man.
"Now now, let's stop this childish argument, please? We're adults, so let's act like it.", said the crow man.
Everyone stopped talking and looked down at their feet.
"Good. Good."
Leslie spoke up, "Listen, Crowface. You know what she did. She is onto us. That girl went through all of that bullshit to save her boyfriend, and now she's onto us. Most specifically, you."
Crowface walked slowly behind everyone, "Yes, I'm very aware. But I let her know that if she loses that special little coin, she's done for. You remember the real estate lady, and the hardware store employee? Yes, they were warned, but they didn't listen.", he said. "My point is that while we're aware she knows our secrets, she doesn't know who we are behind these masks."
"And she never will.", said Gerda. "Let's just kill her."
Crowface put his hand up, silencing the baker. "No.", he said, slowly putting his hand down. "We can use her instead."
Everyone was confused.
"What do you mean?", asked Mayor Tavish.
"If Theodore was able to break Roth's mind, then we should be able to break hers. We'll make that little girl go insane, and in the blink of an eye, she'll betray all of her little friends and they'll all turn up dead."
Everyone followed along, nodding at each other, agreeing with the crow man.
"But what about the boy?", asked Leslie.
Crowface let out a deep, small, rumbly laugh. "Oh don't you worry.", he said. "I'll make sure the boy doesn't say a word."

A Hello Neighbor Fanfiction: 31th October 1954,Raven Brooks
Note:Contains Death,Abuse and things like this
Summary:Gerda hadn't Always been the local baker and Forest protectors.Before that she was one of the bullies of the inventors club...and even before that...she was just a normal girl, that was forced to deal with big stuff,too big for her.
Principal's office-12 a.m
"Please sit down,Ms Baker" said the principal
She could tell by his voice's tone that she was in bigger trouble than usual.Not that she could really blame him for that after all,while he was a kind Person he was still a principal and that was the sixth time she was sent at his office in Just a month.New record.
Gerda sit in silence,just hoping she won't hurt him too
"Ms Baker,i hope you know why are you here" said the principal cleary dissapointed,instead of angry as she thought at first,that only made her feel even more guilty.
"i broke the nose to Andy Johnson and i have almost choked him" she said with a tone of voice between shame and guilty
He nods,now cleary more frustated "Gerda… you are a really smart girl for your age,and from what i heard from your teachers you are also very kind and polite… however your "angry issues " are a real problem.We have talked multiple times Gerda,but everytime you Always come back here.Please Gerda…tell me…why are you doing this? Why do you have these angry issues?…And if don't worry,this conversation will stay between me and you,i won't tell anything to your parents" he adds quickly seeing the girl scared expression
"I…I don't know for sure sir" Said Gerda still nervous. "Gerda…please, everytime i ask you this question you Always avoid to answer…i won't force you to answer,but i think it could be help you a lot" Gerda took a breath. "I…i… sometimes i just feel an uncontrable rage…this is clear to everyone but…i feel it's problably worse…my rage… doesn't matter how much time i supress it…i am not enough strong to control It…when someone hurt me…or my Friends…i lose control…i Just wanna hurt…make them suffer…" Gerda explained.Fortunately for her holding back the tears was her biggest skill cause she could tell she could have easily cried right now.
"From what i heard mr Johnson had made fun of your family and Mr Rossi's one too for your,humile origins…is that true" Asked The principal with patience.
Gerda simply nods,praying in silence that the principal kind soul didn't left him right in this Moment
"Listen Gerda,i had the chance to see you are really nice girl and i have no intention to give up with you.However i hope you understand that your rage is a serious problem.I Will help you if you need, however if this happens again next time there will be consequences…hope you understand Gerda" He said slowly and calmly
"Thank you sir,this is even more than what i deserve." Gerda said meeting the eyes of the principal for the first time.
The principal gave her a comforting smile and,hoping to cheer her up,he gives her some candies "You can go Gerda,i don't think any kid would like spend the halloween night at school.Even if i bet the math tests are scarier than any other monster"
That made Gerda giggle a Little, She accepted the candies and slowly got out from the office
Gerda's house- 7:pm
"SHUT UP YOU STUPID MAN AND CLOSE YOUR FUCKING MOUTH"
"LEARN YOUR PLACE IN THIS FAMILY WOMAN!"
Gerda was hiding herself under the table, trying to avoid being hit by a flying plate again,her scars were already enough.Her parents were fighting and She has no intention to be in the middle of their brawl ever again, especially not with her halloween costume that risked to be broken.Arlo and Wally would have arrived soon.When she heard the doorbell,she ran outside before her parents could yells against her for every possible reason.
"Ehy guys" said Gerda at her two best friends.Arlo was wearing a pumpkin as a mask, with some farmer shirt that he proudly said have stolen from His dad old wardrobe.Wally instead,as every year,decided to wear a costume based on the Raven Man, the stupid local legend
"seriously Gerd? We already looked stupid without your stupid alien costume, didn't you have anything better?" Asked Wally annoyed
"Oh shut up already Wally,not all of us have enough money for waste them in some other costume" She rolled her eyes
"guys,guys, guys,PLEASE!i skipped dinner just for have enough space for the candies.Can we stop arguing and start our research before someone else steal them" implored Arlo
"Yeah sure Arl,we need to move"
So the trio moved to the first house.No candies for them.So they moved to the second house.No candies for them.So they trued the third,the fourth,the fifth,the sixth, and all the houses in Raven Brooks.Still no candies.
"Oh Come on,HOW IT IS POSSIBLE?" Gerda kicked a trashcan in frustation.
"The other kids must have did Trick or Treath before us,i bet it was Marvin,That dirty bastard" responded Wally.
"EHY WALLY!I told you my mom doesn't like swearing so please stop it" said Arlo. "Your mom isn't here." "Still doesn't want me to listen swears."
While Arlo and Wally continued to argue about swearings Gerda noticed Something…or someone…in the woods.
"Ehy,do you see that person over there too?" Asked at her friends. "uh…Oh yes,it's look like have a similar costume to mine,what is he doing in the woods?" asked Wally
"Do you think they could have some candies to share" Arlo cheers filled with new hopes,That made Gerda giggles a Little.
"Well there is only a Way to find out"She tried to lead the way but Wally stopped her" "Woah Gerds,do you seriously i think it's a good idea? Go during night in the forest i mean…." "Wow,the Great Wally Smith is scared of some trees?" she friendly teased her friend. "What?I am not!Never mind,Let's Chase that man!" "Said like that seems we are making a crime" "Shut up Arlo! You want the candies so bad? Then let's go!" Gerda couldn't help but chuckle to her Friends discussing. "Come on Raven and Pumpink kids,If we move fast enough we should be able to reach him"
They weren't fast enough, they had lost too much time talking,and as it wasn't enough Arlo got stuck between the poison ivy two times.
They had even reach the new church that will be build pretty soon.However the person was nowhere.
"great,we Lost it.Say goodbye to pur chance to have candies" Said Gerda dissapointed.
"AHHHHHHHHH" "Arlo i swear, if you sre stuck again in the pois-" Wally stop talking,Arlo wasn't anywhere.The two Friends started to panic.
"Arlo!Arlo!" Yelled Gerda, feeling the anxious growing quickly. "Ehy look!" Wally pointed a very deep hole in the floor "GUYS!GUYS! DO YOU HEAR ME? HELP!" Arlo's voice arrived from below.
"WE ARE COMING!" Gerda took Wally's hand and they jumped. After their fall, they found themself in a strange room.It was full of golden shining coins,Arlo was in the floor in pain. "Gerda,give a look at the room, I try to see if Arlo can walk at all" said Wally with a serious tone in contrast to his normal personality,that didn't matched at all. She stand up and look at the coins,then with a quick move put it some in her bag.She felt like a thief but after all her family had too much financy problems while whoever owned these coins was problably rich,he wouldn't have mind.
she decided that only if she would have find the owner she would have give them back.
Then her eyes moved on an old broken door
"Guys i think i have found the exit,Arlo can you walk?" "Y-yeah,it hurts a Little but i can"
The trio slowly opened the door but they then stopped at the sight of the person in costume before… with many many others
"Seriously, is my costume so unoriginal?" Wally Whispers.
But then they all stopped,they were trying to listen what they were saying but it was very difficult.However the few words they listened… were only making them feel worse.
"genocide" "Our lord" "Flood" "Physical form"…every word worse than the other...
"Guys,we must escape from here,let's return back and find another exi-"
"KYAAAAAH" A raven were looking and screaming at the trio.All the creepy weirdos turn around to look at them "RUN"Gerda screamed.
They tried to return back,but Arlo's leg was too hurt for running,He strumble making all the children fall on the floor,and the weirdos in Raven Mask had took Wally,and one of them put their hand on his Neck
"please… please…please stop it" implored Wally,his breath was rapidly faiding and the weirdo grasp was becoming stronger
"L-Let him g-go…p-please" Gerda implored but no one them gave her even a look
"p-please… please…" She tried again,her frustation growing.But they still ignored,And Gerda was Just even more in panic,until…her rage and frustration took over her mind. She push the weirdo against the wall.
"LEAVE" Gerda punched so hard the weirdo that the mask fell off, revealing she had made the man's nose bleed "US" She gave him another punch,his face was becoming purple and he was looking at her like he was praying her mercy "ALONE!" Without control Gerda…broke the man's neck,she realized what she did just too late.She had killed a man.
The room turned in silence,.Wally,Arlo or even the other weirdos didn't said anything,and Gerda could only imagine in fear what her Friends's faces could be under the Masks.What was worse Is that…she felt powerfull for the first time in her life, and this strange feeling was now mixed with her sense of guilty.She started to cry.
As the situation wasn't enough tragic a new voice shattered the air
"LET HER STAY! FEED ME WITH THE OTHERS''FRESH" the voice said.Gerda turned pale,looking at her Friends and at the raven weirdos.in panic she tried to find a way to escape,but there was any other door. "HERE" Wally took Gerda and Arlo by their hand and they quickly entered into vent.They moved faster than they could in that Little place and then After some minutes…they were out.Again in the woods. "WE ARE ALIVE" Yelled happy Arlo. But it was too soon to talk…A storm… One of the worse storm that Raven Brooks would have ever seen…arrived.The skyes turned quickly purple and the clouds covered the starlight.And before anyone could say anything the wind's Strenght separate the three Friends. "GUYS" was the last thing Gerda had said before she hit her against a tree, making her feel unconscious
????-????
She woke up, don't knowing where was she…but it looked…like an hospital
"you are a tough girl i see,you woke up pretty fast"A man in a police suit was at the right of the bad
"W-what happened? Who are you? Where are my friends" Gerda had millions of questions to ask Fortunately the young police officer didn't look bored
"Pleasure to meet you Gerda,I am Keith.You fell unconscious during the Storm and i rescued you.As for your friends…the police department Is still looking for them" Keith said with patience. Gerda turned pale…Arlo and Wally…where were they?did that strange group of people…
"Listen Gerda,i won't force you to speak with me…but if you are comfortable, please,i need to know what happened the last night"
Gerda started to sweat in panic at the Question.
She stayed in silence.
She was scared of every possible consequences.
She had killed a man and in part enjoyed it,she had found a some type of creepy cult,she had stole coins… She was scared…it was her fault,she had convince them to go to the woods…and now they were missing.Her skin turned pale.
As if Keith could read her thoughts,or at least her emotions,left the room giving her personal space.Now All Alone Gerda started to cry,and cry,and cry… without realizing…a raven was looking at her from the hospital Window.

Hello Guest: Sometimes Conversation Is A Raven Nest
Part of my Hello Neighbor story, we learn more about the Guest in this headcanon and the story.
Mr. Peterson glared at the creature in front of him, not in the slightest bit. Did he like it, Peterson was a 50 year old man with a well trimmed mustache, always curled at each side. His hair was brown, but near to greying. Forming a swirl at the top, wearing a yellow shirt, with a stain on it. The stain was unspecified. Theodore had green, piercing eyes staring at the thing. He had a strong cheekbones, something his childhood self never possessed. And he had a round chin, an swirl on his chin. He had grown a stubble, as he was older.
Peterson had thick, arching eyebrows. Which gave him an intimidating appearance, and they pointed straight downwards, to his nose. His unusual head has numerous wrinkles and creases on his forehead. The mustached man also wore thick, and greasy rubber gloves. Of a black color. He wore a blue diamond patterned vest, with a argyle style. The very small part, the comprising material of his shirt was a rain-resistant material. The edges of the vest are dark blue and ridged, while the diamonds are a lighter blue. There are white dotted lines crossing the vest as part of its pattern. Theodore's pants are an orange color with darker orange stripes, and his shoes are black and white sneakers.
"Explain your actions, especially after you possessed MY son. And chased me." The black sheep of Raven Brooks asked, adjusting his collared shirt.
"Theodore, relax. I think you and I can speak, whilst we remain civil."
The creature in front of him ironically looked somewhat similar, but vastly different, beefier. Wearing a purple, dirty dark striped sweater with a red pocket on the front. The top, inside this pocket was a tissue. There was the presence of yellow stitching, around the armpit area, as if somebody created the sweater. The sweater had light red sleeves with lines on them, the sleeves were significantly dirtier than one expected. However they were incredibly dirty, one could not tell if they were red or orange. In opposite of Mr. Peterson's muscular form, and limbs. The creature had lanky limbs. Wearing, similar gloves. But shredded, the fingers resembled talons of a raven or a crow. And these gloves have dirt on him. It wore brown lined pants, with black shoes with yellow laces and soles. However, as one would expect. Because of the body shape. The entity had lankier limbs. The hood was pulled past the head, and for a face. Was a raven beak, resembling wood, but if you were stupid enough to touch the beak, it was certainly organic. The figure wore a black, hooded cloak. Held together by a circular clasp, with an eye symbol. Theo knew the symbol all too well. Forest Protectors. However as a man could not think the same way a insect could, one would wrongfully think this cloak is brown.
The Guest. The Raven Man, the mysterious urban legend of Raven Brooks. Who had existed for ages, a demonic supernatural entity. And dealmaker who had complete control over Raven Brooks. Some doubted his existence, because Raven Man, Raven Brooks. However this simply didn't deter the mind of believers or conspiracy theorists.
Beside the creature were three men, wearing black hooded figures, with hundreds of feathers attached to their cloaks. They had their hoods up, obscuring their head, and they wore white, curved beak masks. Resembling a plague doctor mask from medieval times. These figures also wore long black gloves with claws. Forest Protectors.
Peterson knew why they wore these raven like costumes. Because they worshipped The Guest, and sacrificed people to him. Representing his legend and existence through the cloaks.
"I merely gave your son an opportunity, one he should have been grateful for, an escape from that prison you hold him in." The beaked creature said. His voice was full of envy and greed, contempt. He didn't speak by words, but spoke with telepathy. As his beak didn't move. Ethereal and sadism, but with multiple voices. Of various emotions and feelings. Giving the Guest an unearthly way of speaking. The legend lacked eyes, but he could still see Theodore.
Mr. Peterson rubbed his stubble, listening to the demon speaking. Having to hear multiple voices and emotions at once was annoying, but he had the opportunity to question The Guest. "You think it was an opportunity? One you think Aaron should be grateful for, I know you. You don't play kid games. You tried linking my son to a curse."
"I thought you humans knew the meaning of sacrifice. Do you not know the meaning of "it's for the greater good?" The bird-like beast laughed. His laughter echoing in Theo's mind. The crow creature adjusted his cloak, as he stared. Eagerly waiting.
"So. What are you, trying to make me understand the weight of my actions? I'm no saint, as I have framed Nicky. I have kidnapped him, buried my own daughter in my backyard. And chase anyone I see off my property. Kept Aaron locked in the basement to protect himself from the authorities, if so. You're just making me think different things." The neighbor stared, he didn't care about The Guest. Nor did he care about the cult. The bird society and it's God was like a thorn in his side. He had mixed emotions about The Guest, he loathed him. But he also feared him.
A chuckle of multiple voices, laughing with sadism could be heard, the mustached man clenched his gloved fist. As he didn't find that funny. "Way worse. I may be enforcing and influencing someone's thoughts. But it's actually to torture, haunt and break you." Theodore stared, sternly. Holding a pitchfork at the creature. He shook with a small bit of fear, but kept his composure. Clearly determined.
"It does not matter what I was taking, if I'm lonely, because you don't appreciate it, don't deserve it, or if you love it. What matters is, those who or what is taken. Isn't destroyed, grew distant from or even died. They are gone."
"Right, like making a kid linked to your cult and possessing him is good, you're nothing without bad luck." The man said, sarcastically.
"I might be, I could be a lot of things. Small things, big things. It doesn't matter. What matters is what I'm becoming, little Theo. I'm the monster; I'm the monster that manifests when you think your God takes away your crops, I'm the monster that takes away what you don't deserve. I'm your life's betrayal." The Raven Man claimed it was life's betrayal, one of the Forest Protectors wanted to kill Peterson here and now. But the Guest held him off.
"Why not kill me anyways, instead of being a clown? And not going with your word?"
"New toys to play with. Torture, despair. DEATH! Taking what you don't deserve. As much as I wish I could take credit, your wife wasn't my work. But I did see it."
This set off the green eyed, and suspicious man. He rose from his seat, his well built frame rising up. As The Guest cawed. Peterson was increasingly frustrated.
"Do not bring up Diane into this. Or Mya. But there are kids. I have to deal with, they are trying to send me to prison again."
"Oh, you think you can negotiate with me? I give the word, and my Ravens pay a visit to your son. At a certain house. Consider your position very carefully, Theodore. Because you are not with the power."
He took in the Guest's words. Mr. Peterson didn't at all want Aaron dying by the Forest Protectors, especially after such a threat like that. But he chuckled. Which caught The Guest by surprise. "Maybe I need your help more than you do, feeding off bad luck." A laugh, with opportunity. The Guest turned to Gordon Cleave, a 6'1 blonde man with fierce brown eyes, wearing a brown suit. Cleave also had a tooth pick in his mouth and turned to the Forest Protectors.
"And just, what did I tell you about him? Bold mindset. How have you lived like that? Especially when I and a representation of your guilt attack you?! Your mind and head is mine. Alright. Deal. Help you get rid of Trinity, and Aaron is my host." The Guest referenced The Thing, the representation of Nicky's fears and Theo's guilt.
"Deal." Mr. Peterson shook hands with The Guest, as he warned the creature. Giving it a cold look.
"I will warn you, only once. This is solely a partnership and business. No emotion." The bird like creature warned him.
"I am aware."
Mr. Peterson walked out of the catacombs, and sewers. Heading back to his house. Whilst the Guest transformed into a Raven and flew off to the Forest.

Hello neighbor AU
The New Kids
Post act three AU
Prelude:
It had been a while in his old home, the memories came flooding back like a tidal wave, his tree house was exactly how he remembered it, run down and poorly made, but there was something off about it, he couldn't quite tell what it was but it felt... Different... He finally noticed a note, laying in a pile of old drawings he, Enzo and Aaron made:
Note: "See me at the old park, there's something I need to show you~"
It was too good to be true but was it?
How was Aaron alive?
Was this someone pulling a fucked up prank on him?
There wasn't a way to tell, the handwriting was very similar to Aaron's, but there was only one way to know for sure.
He had to go to the amusement park.
Chapter one: Old Friends
Tumblr media
He walked through the raven brooks forest, the road to the golden apple had been shut for decades, overgrown and abandoned, left to rot, he had to go on foot, so it came as a surprise that there was a house there~
It stood tall amongst the treeline, the piercing red lights practically burning through the fog, however there was someone in one of the windows, watching, before disappearing, was it Aaron?
It couldn't be Mr Peterson, he'd been dead for about a year now, was it the urban legend, "the raven man"? Looked to human~
He stepped closer towards the house, seeing a telltale sign of craftsmanship, a bear trap welded onto a lawnmower, many, many cameras, and a strange person, it fit Mr Peterson's MO, but he wasn't sure.
The front door swung open, a face could be seen faintly, Aaron... Before he faded back into the darkness.
Nicky ran in after him, searching for any sign of Aaron before the door slammed behind him and a soft, lower chuckle could be heard in the dark~
???: "Hello, Nicholas..."
That wasn't Aaron, or Mr Peterson... It was something dark, something paranormal~
Nicky: "h-h-who are you?"
???: "My name doesn't concern you, what should be is the man behind you~"
Before Nicky had time to react, a man had brayed him with a crowbar to the back of the head, they weren't paranormal, they were teens in Halloween costumes.
Teen one: "Heh, looser actually fell for the note~"
Teen two: "Yeah, fuckin' imagine risking your life to see your friend one last time, get a grip dude!"
Footsteps came down the stairs.
??? "Well done you little brats, now scram! I need to talk to him alone~"
It was him.
How was he alive?
Didn't he hang himself in his cell?
Ted?: "So Nicky, you actually came here?"
Nicky: "Where's Aaron? Tell me you sick son of a-"
Ted kicked him in the stomach.
Ted?: "Speak when spoken to... Now, we're going to play a game, a nice simple one..."
His voice was slipping, this wasn't him, he sounded like him but was definitely younger.
Nicky: "You're not fooling anyone Aaron, take off the mask~"
The man dropped the mask to the ground, flicking on a lighter, showing his face.
It was torn, scratched and mangled, looking like it was torn away by heavy machinery.
Aaron: "You're really good at detective work Nicky, now... About that game~"

The scary Truth Behind the Guest part 1: the trauma of two people’s past (My Theory )
The Guest a human bird creature that haunts the town of raven brooks who feasts off fears of you and Quentin’s soul and making your investigations to raven brooks a living nightmare.
We all know the Guest/Visitor/Forest protectors and of course The Goose, but what we don’t know is who under the mask? Well we had theories all of us had amazing theories like the guest being Ike Mr.Peterson old friend Ike who possibly survived or Gordon Cleave who was a Forest Protector and the one I believed to be the case.
Now there the other possibility is that The Guest is actually Aaron taking after his dad with there being a lot of evidence of this so it would make sense that he would be Aaron...well until the beta came out, while it could be still true that he is the guest it wouldn’t make sense on why he is tall and what his motvation would be especially when all of this is right after act 2. Which leaves Mr.Peterson and while we could just assume it’s him it is him it’s confirmed in two books reset day and The Raven Brooks disaster I don’t know why but they could of wait until hello neighbor 2 was out but yea Peterson is chicken man but is he really and to answer that is yes...and no, while it is shown that yes Mr.Peterson is the guest heck it shows right here.
Tumblr media
there is one scene in the book that puzzled everyone which was a scene where Mr.Peterson is trying to do a good thing in his life but then out of nowhere the guest comes out of nowhere and drowns him
Tumblr media
but yet it is shown that Mr.Peterson is the guest and this puzzled everyone and I haven’t seen anyone even talk about this because it just really weird I mean who could explain this...well I can’t explain why they did this but it was until I watch a lot of star wars movies and star wars theory about darth vader and anakin skywalker as well as total drama with the character Mike where it all hit me so I did what anyone would do and decided to remember Mr.Peterson personality and what was his actions and his trauma as well as Nicky’s.
and that when it all came together that this moment that we are all seeing is not some stupid weird clash...no we are seeing a man trying to gain control of his own mind but isn’t strong enough and is taking his last breath as he dies in the process to his new creation...that right this is the death of Mr.Peterson and the birth of the Guest let me explain.
first let's talk about Mr.Peterson and Nicky and what the first game was about. In the first game the game is about Nicky while on the surface being a game about sneaking into your creepy Neighbor house and discover his secrets it’s really about Nicky facing his past and taking on his trauma head on but while act 3 and finale isn’t real they are important to solving the guest.
This is important it is said that in the neighbor guide book that when Nicky is a  adult Nicky he pretty much the same to his Child self and the reason for this is that Nicky couldn’t grow up and move on with his life we are shown through out the game that Nicky has nightmares of his past and it gets worse when he moves back where he experience Panic attacks to point to where he curls up in a ball and try’s to sleep it off only to wake up in this living nightmare for him...and us because playing act 3 is torture XD.
Throughout act 3 Nicky collects object solves puzzles and sneaks past Peterson to obtain his goal but while those are well and good there are three that are more important to Nicky that being the fear rooms with them severing purpose of Nicky facing his fears and going through them and in the end he gets special powers that make him stronger and more powerful then Peterson himself until he reaches the act finale this is where Nicky finally gets to face his fears and move on with his life and in the end he does.
were shown in the ending that he is much more calm and even happy at waking up and seeing the sun as he starts moving in this important because Nicky in this moment has finally move on because in the story Nicky is alone and lives in apartment that he can’t even afford to live in and shows that he has no job no place to go clearly Nicky is alone and is living in a unhappy life where he alone with no one because he couldn’t move on he just a child in a man’s body it only until he faces his fears and see that he shouldn’t live in the past and needs pick up the pieces of his life and make a better life by facing his fears and finally putting them behind him and grow up finally.
Tumblr media
So how I see it is that Nicky faces his fears and learns to move on from his past and learn that rather than focusing on the past he should focus on the future and clearly that is true as we see Nicky move box after box into his house with a smile. Nicky has clearly moved on and instead of focusing on the past he now focusing on the future and making a happy life for himself...but that can’t be said for Mr.Peterson because where Nicky moves on from his past Peterson doesn’t.
It has shown that Peterson still attempts to try to do his failed goals either being to rebuild his failed theme parks or try to capture the people who have wrong him that being Enzo in reset day, But he takes it a step further to point to where he will flood all of Raven Brooks so he can get his revenge showing that he is gone insane but that the thing Mr.Peterson has showed through the series that he is insane that being because of his past with his childhood like in the novel disco bay it shown that he killed Jen Brother in ride failure and in the end he still continue to make theme parks which once again caused him took take more lives which through these resulted in two things
One: to continue to make theme parks even though when he does people die and instead of finally just quitting or or spend time with his family he continues which shows that Peterson doesn’t learn from his past and rather then maybe finding a better job or have a career change he still holds onto making a entire theme park in his basement just to entertain his guests it also to note that he was totally building this before his family died this proven on how he long it would take to build a entire amusement park under ground which means he is still hold onto the past rather then looking forward to the future and still continuing to fail and never learning from it.
two: his ever growing insanity. With every failure Mr.Peterson has begin to become on edge and become even cuckoo at times but it also from his childhood as a kid his parents were arrested and judging by the books were not the best to him and plus his sister seems more more distance towards him which seems to explain why he insane in the first book of Aaron and why he also distance towards his own family but all this failures and neglect has caused Peterson to hang onto the past and to go insane and final push was when Lucy Yi died to where Mr.Peterson has weird behaviors in final book being the scene where he said to Maritza “ I made lucy fly.”
The scene where he said that was the point to where we saw how Peterson is truly awful person and his excuse was worse to where he says “ he wasn’t in the right mind “ and while rereading this scene it disgust me on how a person can say something like that to a little girl after he killed her on accident but after rereading it again and again it connects to the scene in novel because in novel Mr.Peterson has gone fully insane to point to where he will keep a crow in his truck and talks to it and also is willing to destroys the whole town while this could be him being just doing it out of revenge I think it something else or someone else that has Mr.Peterson in the wrong mind.
I think overall with rereading every scene in the books with Mr P we always get to see how wrap up he is with the past and how he keeps going insane from it and as well as events that happen which it keeps on getting worse to the point to where he will say to a little girl “ I made your friend fly “ and I think with that one word and everything else we see in the future of Mr.Peterson is explain as well as how he is the guest but not.
I think that with all evidence and facts that I explain I believe that the guest is not a ghost or a separate person or a mutant bird or a giant KFC no but a split Personality that is manifested by Peterson’s insanity and his desires for his revenge and his past which all of this will be explain in part 2 for reasons and more evidence.
(also I know I included Nicky but that was because he does have a sort of place in this because he represents what Peterson couldn’t do which was to focus more on the future and make better decisions for his life but the ending of hello neighbor where Mr.Peterson is trap in that house and is unable to face his own demons )
Hope you guys enjoy and sorry if this was too detailed but I just want to explain the origins of Peterson and how he the guest as well as not next will be what truly caused him to become the guest and some evidence to back up this theory hope you all have a good day.

━━━ Atsumu Miya is a free-loader. Living inside his twin brother's home as if it was his, he would bring home girls and annoy Osamu most of the time. Y/N L/N is quite the opposite apparently because she's a virgin loser. Being the popular anonymous BL mangaka known as Yamazaki, she stays in the homey abode of her parents and watches boys from afar for references (not for admiration sadly).
Now what will happen if fate decided to tie these two idiots together and made them live across each other in one apartment?

TWO ━━ THE GIRL NEIGHBOR
Tumblr media
THE FORTUNE OF GETTING EVERYTHING Atsumu desired had always blessed his luck in his twenty-three years of living on this habitable planet— may it be in his talents for the ball sport or even outside his athletic career. This man surely knew what it means to be spoiled by the gods as they loomed over his being and guided him through the prosperity of his lifetime. He was a guy who could attain his dreams by any means necessary.
So, here he is, debating on which detergent he should buy because he had finally moved into the apartment his brother recommended.
He hasn't settled in at the moment. The room he rented was still a mess of cardboard boxes full of his things piling up on top of each other. It was a new environment for the male as he had always stuck to Osamu throughout his life; they were partners in crime after all.
That was when he decided what was his current goal at the moment; to survive a week of living alone without asking for his brother's help. Hence, the reason why he's here in the cleaning aisle of the grocery close by, having difficulty in choosing if he should use powder or liquid detergents.
"Are you stupid or something?" An irritated voice spoke up from behind the setter's crouching figure. Atsumu sneaked a glance over his shoulder and lazily grinned at his teammate and friend. "Great timing, Omi-kun!" He chirped, standing up from his last position before turning around to face the ravenette.
Sakusa rolled his eyes, "For your information, buying cleaning products isn't the only thing I do. I just like my place and myself to be tidy. Can we also quicken up the pace, please?" He spoke out his thoughts as he got one of the liquid detergents set on the shelves, carefully placing it inside the grocery basket.
"Didn't know you'll get offended by my texts. I was only joking about that time you bought that many cleaning products," The blonde shrugged his shoulders casually, "It was a funny sight. You really looked like a janitor that time." He snickered at the memory of the other with the bags full of cleaning supplies.
Sakusa clicked his tongue and took a step past Atsumu, "I don't usually buy that many supplies. Half of those were for Bokuto-san and Hinata-san," He held the two metal handles of the grocery basket, hoisting the holder up as he let it hang by the side of his thigh. "Speaking of those two, they already texted me that they've finally arrived at your new apartment in Morinomiya. They mentioned your brother also dropped by with some onigiri." He notified the other male.
Atsumu grumbled from his teammate's words as he followed Sakusa's trail towards the snacks aisle. "Ya mean the same brother who decided to betray me?" He mumbled, his expression seeming like a child who just got grounded by their parents for a whole week.
"And yet, you still visit his Onigiri place in the city. You love him, don't be sissy about it. You got kicked out because you were too complacent, and unlike during your high school days, you realized that your brother wouldn't be there for you all the time."
The blonde stayed silent, most likely agreeing with the ravenette's statement. Although the two brothers argued for a while after Osamu announced the unfortunate news about his twin's boot out of the household, Atsumu knew that it was the best for both of them as it was time for him to get an apartment (even if he sort of dislikes the idea of moving).
Despite him understanding this, it wouldn't hurt to be a drama queen for once.
"Yeah, yeah. I get it." Atsumu mouthed as he motioned his hand in upward movements, walking over to the cashier register to check out their groceries. A frown etched on Sakusa's face from under his white face mask, not a slight bit amused by the latter's laid-back composure. He adjusted his grip on the basket's handle then followed behind to the location of the check-out counter.
The cashier, who looked as if she was currently in high school, kept on stealing glances between the blonde male and the cleaning supplies she was checking out. With lips pursed from her thoughts, her eyes slightly squinted every time it landed on Atsumu.
'What is this girl's problem?' He thought, raising his brows at the girl's serious expression. He cleared his throat and let his eyes wandered around the vicinity to distract himself from the cashier's peeks.
Tumblr media
After the uncanny interaction with the young cashier, the two volleyball players made their way to the newly-built apartment building that the blonde-haired setter is now residing. From what the raven-haired outside hitter mentioned before, their two other teammates had already ordered two boxes of pizza and couldn't help but devour its cheesy goodness once it arrives. Atsumu quickened his pace from the newly-given information as he wouldn't like to meet the sight of two empty pizza boxes in his apartment.
"Tsumu-Tsum! Great timing. The pizzas are here!" Bokuto cheered after seeing his two comrades walked in from the front door. His eyes lit up while his mouth formed into a wide smile— almost looking like he won the jackpot of a million yen (not like he needs it anyway since he earns more than that).
A certain tangerine-haired male was already munching a slice beside him, "Omir-shan, Arsurmu-shan," Hinata said, mouth full of pizza dough and toppings. He then chewed the last bit of bread and swallowed the piece down his throat, "Welcome back! I like the new place, by the way, Atsumu-san!" He ended his statement, taking another slice from the pizza box.
Sakusa cringed from the mess on the table and how their two reckless teammates ate the freshly-oven baked slices. He lowered the grocery bag he was carrying on one of the moving boxes beside him as Atsumu followed suit. "Did you guys even washed your hands before eating?" The masked male straightly asked as he sat down on the carpeted floor.
"Don't worry. We did! Bokuto-san even brought the hand sanitizer that Akaashi-san bought for him." Hinata replied, scooching over to the side as he gestured Atsumu with a nod of his head.
Atsumu walked over to his side of the table, taking the spot the short male had spared for him. The blonde then lifted the closed pizza box with his right hand and almost gagged at the chosen toppings, "You guys ordered two Hawaiians? That's sickening." Atsumu stuck his tongue out in disgust and lowered the box's paper lid, deciding to get one of his brother's onigiris instead.
"I'm the one who invited you all here to celebrate my new home, and yet, you guys wanted to be douchebags by ordering my least favorite flavor of pizza."
"You're the only person here who doesn't like pineapples on a pizza, Atsumu-san." Sakusa pointed out, moving the face mask under his chin with his index finger then taking a bite on his slice of the Hawaiin pizza. "Besides, it's three-to-one. You wouldn't win at all." He added, to which the other two avid pineapple lovers agreed with hums of satisfaction.
A thought suddenly popped in Bokuto's mind as he licked the tomato sauce off the tip of his fingers. "Oh yeah! I met a cute girl while I was waiting for Hinata outside your apartment. She also moved in just a few days ago, and guess what? She's living in the room across from you!" He stated out of the blue and laughed lightly at how it was such a coincidence.
This statement caught the attention of the other three, mainly the blonde-headed volleyball player.
"Maybe you could give your new neighbor some onigiri, Atsumu! Like a welcome gift!" Hinata grinned widely, his tone having a trace of excitement as he began eating another slice of the Hawaiian pizza.
Atsumu casually shrugged his shoulders, "Maybe..." He trailed off before taking a bite off the seaweed-rice snack.
The horologe of time had passed by quickly as the blazing sun settled down for the glowing moon to shun upon the busy streets of Osaka, the twinkling stars glittering the night sky with constellations and patches of galaxies from a distance. The simple gathering ended and left the room in peaceful silence. However, Atsumu was still sitting on the floor, his legs overlapping each other as his arms crossed against his built chest.
"Should I?"
He thought out loud as his eyes stare at the box of left-over onigiri. The blonde heaved out a breath through his nostrils before he stood up from his position, patting the dust particles off his bottom. He reached over the box, not bothering to transfer the contents in another container since it would've taken another set of minutes in trying to search for one.
"Here we go." Atsumu swung the door open and immediately noticed the door from across was slightly opened. No light was emitting from the inside. It triggered the male's intuition to check the situation of his neighbor as the scenario of a burglar robbing a harmless female concerned him greatly.
With a slight push of his hand, the door eerily creaked like it was a prop in a horror movie set-up. His eyes tried to look into the dark apartment. But unfortunately, the moving packages were stacked in every spot of the apartment, making it difficult for his peripheral vision to catch anything suspicious of some kind. "Hello?" He called out and didn't get any answer.
'I swear to the gods... If I'm getting killed by a serial killer.'
It's his fault for watching those horror movies in the past. If he hadn't watched that one texas killer with the chainsaw, he wouldn't have gotten scared at all. Atsumu's heart thumped loudly against his ribcage from the anxiety of having to roam around this creepy apartment.
A groan echoed off the walls, stopping the male from his tracks as his body froze like a statue. His throat went dry while his palms started to sweat when he felt an unknown presence creeping up behind him. He closed his eyes shut and quickly spun around to greet the unknown person with a power punch, "Get the fuck away, demon!" Atsumu screeched, still holding onto the box of onigiri safely in the other hand.
"Ouch! Why the heck did you do that for?"
Atsumu peeked his eye open and found you sprawled on the wooden floor, hissing in pain as you caressed your bruised cheek. You were wearing your pajamas as it seemed like you had just woken up from your slumber.
Oops. It's a false alarm, after all.

When autumn comes, it comes in slow like most seasons on this planet. The Apex arena changes beautiful colors, the normal green tones turning into warm oranges and yellows. The Leviathans that called the arena home didn’t seem bugged by the colder weather, happily chewing on the trees that changed color and not putting up a fuss.
When fall comes, it means that the legends have a month to relax. The season wouldn’t start back up until early spring so the wildlife would be just as lively and itching to go as the legends. However, this meant that your partner, Bloodhound, was itching for something to hunt after.
You didn’t blame them. They weren’t made for the domestic and quiet life. They preferred an active role. The games brought them a sense of accomplishment, both for their gods they worshiped and for themselves. Quite often you’d be left with one raven, whichever one was up for the arena that day went with Bloodhound, and know if they were having a good game or a bad depending on how the second raven reacted.
But, of course, when autumn comes, it means downtime.
~Rest under the cut~
The first few days are nice. Bloodhound doesn’t stay in the dorms and instead comes home to the little cottage deep in the woods you two shared. Munnin and Arthur greet you as usual by latching onto your shoulders and fighting over who gets to be held like a baby first. But, not before you’re able to see Bloodhound tug off their mask and helmet. Approaching to kiss you softly with full, chapped lips and murmur against you adoringly in greeting of; “Hello, beloved.”
Once it finally starts getting cooler out, you open up the windows much to the ravens’ delights. But, much to your own dismay, Bloodhound starts to feel cooped up at home. Kissing you one morning and telling you that they won’t be gone long, that the Allfather wills their hands elsewhere.
And as always, you nod understandingly and sigh as they part from you with a loving rest of your foreheads together and their gloved hands brushing your waist.
That was five days ago they set out. Arthur was left behind this go around, settling down on the window sills or going about his own business. He demands cuddles quite often and treats you don’t let him have (except a few under the table that ‘slip’ from your grasp), but otherwise he provides nice enough company.
You get lonely on day five. Already itching for their company yesterday so you’d taken to raiding their closet.
You do it again today with less worry of it, tugging on one of their older, cozier hoodies. It’s big even on them and reaches mid-thigh for you. Black with the Apex logo on the back as you lift the collar and inhale their scent. Much to your delight they must have worn it a couple of times before deciding it was still clean and putting it away again.
To try and distract yourself from missing them, you have soon set out on your shared bed. Tucking your body against the window that you had open with the curtains pulled back. Letting air flow run throughout the room in a small, chilly breeze that caresses your bare legs that rub against the many furs underneath you.
You huff a bit as you lie down, settling on reading a book and trying to keep your eyes focused on it. Tucking the collar of the hoodie up to your nose to inhale the scent of it as you read.
Bloodhound always smelled good, similar to pine and something akin to violets and cinnamon. You smile at the thought, tugging the collar closer and sighing against it.
You think of them with a lazy, growing smile. Their red curls had been getting longer, about mid-back now and getting a bit less tame. You think about the way their lips feel on yours, softly molding and sharp teeth capturing your bottom lip. How their hands, rough and calloused from their hunts caress your hips as soft as ever to drag you closer. Hungry growls out of their throat if you press closer to them to fit your hips-
Your breathing is getting heavier, eyes fluttering as you let the book fall from your grip and off the bedside. You try to settle down, resting your hand on your abdomen and drumming there. However, your mind is hungry for it.
And what’s the matter with indulging anyway? They weren’t here- and if they were, you’re sure they wouldn’t mind you indulging IN them as well.
Your hand sneaks down, pulling the hoodie up and teasing at the edges of your underwear. You do as they would, toying with yourself as you rub at the slit of your heat through your panties. Tracing upwards and applying just enough pressure over your clit.
Your breath hitches and your head tilts to the side, biting your bottom lip as another breeze runs through the room and reminds you that you’re doing this right in front of an open window. Truly, that part didn’t matter, your home was far too into the woods to worry about neighbors. But, gods know if Arthur popped his little head in you’d feel mortified.
That is, until you hear the front door open and hear tell-tales boots. Your eyes snap open, pulling your hands away from yourself and perking up.
In no time you’re prodding down the steps, far more interesting in seeing your partner than jacking off. Peeking around the corner to see them pulling off their helmet. Shaking their long braid free as some curls frame and curl onto their face.
The steps creak as you take the next one, and their head shoots up to look at you. Eyes tired, but their singular good one trained on you like the predator they are.
“Is that my clothing?” They tease, a smile on their lips already as you smile sheepishly back. Bare feet padding on the ground as you reach them, wrapping your arms around their shoulders so they may do the same to your waist. They bury their nose into your hair, inhaling your familiar scent. You know they can smell it with the way they grip at your firmer.
You hear the edge of a growl and just about laugh as they try to pull a bit away, but you tug them closer. Urging them to tilt their head with your hand laced at the braid at the nape of their neck, pulling so you can kiss at the now exposed flesh.
“Elskan-” Their voice warns, and you hum in response. Letting your teeth catch their pierced lobe before kissing down their neck and nibbling over their pulse point.
Their claw-like nails dig at your hips through their gloves and you make a playful sound in reply.
“I can do the work,” You insist, voice low as you suck a hickey against their neck just to hear their breath hitch. “You don’t have to do anything. Just lie there and enjoy the view.”
“Tempting,” They breathe out, shuddering when your tongue flicks over the bruise blossoming on a peachy patch on their darker flesh. “Would you still wear this?” They murmur, letting their own hands gently tug at the hoodie.
You hum in affirmation and let your hand drop to toy at the bottom of their few layers of shirts. Parting your lips so you can nip just beneath their ear. “As long as you aren’t wearing any of this in return.”
--
The journey to the bedroom is quick and hurried with your insistence. Bloodhound laughs at you as you help them out of their clothing, at least down to their tight muscle tank and boy shorts. They insist you keep wearing the hoodie again, as you dig around for one of their strap ons.
You don’t even realize which one you have in hand. Just helping them pull on the boy short-like harness and fitting the cock through. That is, until you recognize the bright red visage of said cock.
It’s one they very much enjoyed. Themed after a werewolf, a beast fit for someone like Bloodhound. It’s rather large, seven inches long not including the knot and as thick as three of your fingers. The knot was about baseball size and the ability to attach a syringe to the underside of it to fill with cum lube. Depending on if you wanted to get stuffed full more than with just a knot.
You swallow thickly and think about your decisions briefly as you lube it up. Making a show of jacking them off and applying extra lube as you tuck your now lubed up fingers under yourself. But before you can even get to do that, Bloodhound is pawing for you.
“None of that, my love. I can do this much for you.” Their voice is soft and adoring as you nod your head quickly. Letting them urge you up onto them, straddling either side of their head and pulling the hoodie up and over your chest. You hold it there with one hand, the other resting on the top of their head.
If there was one thing that was certain, it was that Bloodhound loved giving oral. Proof as their eyes flutter open half lidded, peering through thick lashes up at you as their mouth opens. Their pierced tongue licking from hole to clit and nosing at you afterwards.
They moan against you at the same time you whine. Bloodhound, for finally being able to taste you. You, for finally getting the stimulation you wanted.
Their clawed hands come up and over your thighs, locking you in place and digging the points into your flesh. Idly, you scritch at the top of their head and breathe out, “Good dog.” More on instinct than anything, but it makes their eyes flash dangerously. Their slit pupil widening as they lap at your clit hungrily.
It isn’t long before your grip in their hair is now two handed. Riding their face and eagerly moaning when their tongue presses into you. Their nose against your clit and their eyes closed, looking like they’re enjoying a meal intensely with the way they whine into you.
Eventually you’re begging, pulling at their hair and grinding your hips messily against their face. Bloodhound moves with you, gripping your thighs tight so you hold still and moaning low when you yank at their hair. They focus their tongue on licking feverishly against your clit until you’re cumming with a weak cry and small jerks of your hips.
Kitten licks are left on your clit as you shake and try to push at their head. “H-Hound- no, please- want to ride you- can't if y-you- you- you-” You try to sob out, but get cut off by your own high-pitched cry when Bloodhound licks at your slick hole, getting every bit they could out of you.
Greedy bastard.
With a few more begs and a few more pushes, they let you off. Allowing you to straddle their hips so you can finally catch how they look at you. Hungry eyes trained on your body, their lips shiny and wet, matching their chin before they wipe their mouth off on the back of their hand.
They briefly flash you canines as they laugh at you. “Well? Come, show me what you have been waiting for since I have left, pretty one.” They coo towards the end as they gently tug at your hips with a relaxed stance about them. As if they were royalty and you were the entertainment.
They don’t rush you as you settle onto their cock. Easing the first few inches into yourself with a mewl. Your body is relaxed and certainly wet enough for it from Bloodhound’s talented tongue.
It takes a moment or two longer than you intend before the rim of your cunt is pressed to the larger beginnings of the knot. Stuffed full already as your arms shake, pressed to either side of Bloodhound’s head as you try to get your bearings.
“Too big?” They almost take a mock cooing tone for you. Bloodhound’s hands caressing underneath the hoodie to brush at your hips and sides, gently squeezing at the softness around your middle in appreciation.
You shake your head, huffing through your nose as you adjust to the size. Making a show of lifting your hips up and pressing back down with a choked breath and bowing your head at the sensation.
Goddamn it.
You can feel them grinning at you as your arms shake. But, determined as ever to get what you wanted and let them rest, you begin riding them in earnest. Pulling your body back up to grab behind you at their toned thighs. You let your head fall back, shamelessly whining as your cunt is stretched around the size of the cock again and again with each rock of your hips.
You can feel their gaze on you. Intense and predatory as their nails dig into your hips. They gently pull at you, urging you to ride them faster, just a little harder. Just to watch you struggle as your body twitches and your fingers grip tighter at their thighs.
They watch you with an intensity of a starving wolf. Seeing how your neck strains, how they can watch your pulse from here. Oh, how your body curves so beautifully- and they swear if they move their hand to your lower abdomen they can feel the thickness of the cock inside you-
It’s all too much. They cannot sit here and be a toy for you, or a pillow princess in a sense. They have to have you, claim you, it’s too intense of a feeling.
They push themselves up into a sitting position. Snatching your hips as you yelp in turn, almost falling but they pull you against their body. Their hands cup under your ass just as your arms go around their shoulders, choking out their name before they begin pistoning their hips up into you.
The bed creaks with their effort, hardly heard as you cry out and moan. Your hands fly up so one can grip at the back of their neck, the other clawing at their back as they use their muscles to thrust up into you. Their snarls are loud in your ear, followed only by the feeling of their teeth against your neck. Lips kissing away at bruises they leave behind with each growing hickey and bite.
When their hips grow tired, they use you like a doll and fuck you on their cock. You feel sloppy and far too wet, feeling it sticking to your inner thighs as you try to keep up with the motions. But, they won’t stop. Their hands just insistently push and pull until you’re rocking against the knot and sobbing into their neck, “Hound- Hound- fuck I can’t- it’s too much-”
Your voice is shaky with each hard, heaving breath you take. You’re absolutely throbbing on the edge by now, everything alight and far too hot. Yet, they don’t relent.
“You can take it,” They huff out, voice low and almost growling it out possessively. “You will take it.” They repeat, stressing out each syllable with a tug of your hips. Pressing up against you and pushing you down as the knot presses and stretches.
Your scream is muffled in their neck, your hands desperately clawing at their back as the knot presses into you. It’s all far too much, especially when their hand moves from your hip to instead rub at your clit. Using your own wetness to slide over your clit easily. You cum as they growl their native tongue into your ear, only managing to make quick translations in your head. Making out; ‘Mine’ ‘Love’ ‘Little whore’.
There’s just a few moments where they let you rest like this. High on your orgasm even as their fingers tease at your hardened clit, making you give weak jerks and whines in response.
“Do you wish to be moved?” Bloodhound murmurs against your sweaty temple, pressing a warm kiss there even as you hum your negative in response. They laugh, gently shifting you in their lap. “You are heavy.”
“Tough.” You murmur back, nosing deeper into their neck to feel the vibrations of their chuckle.
Carefully, they move both your bodies as one. Shifting to lie on their side and keeping your leg thrown over their hip so they can stay locked inside. Their hand lovingly strokes down your side, petting you as you lazily roll your hips just to feel your inner walls squeeze.
“You are a greedy little thing, my love.” They tease at you, their hand coming under your ass to tease at the outer rims of your pussy, completely stretched out. “I am gone for five days, and you cannot manage yourself?”
Tiredly, all you can reply with is a negative hum. Lightly shaking your head with a yawn. “Nah, you do it better.”
Way better.

You Cannot Cheat Death When It Comes Knocking At Your Door
(Yandere Satan fic)
Chapter 1: A Body Has Been Discovered
“The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Spoken words are far stronger than something as silly as ancestry, and I believe as if our blood calls out to each other, love. So, shall we unite?”

~~~~~~~
“I’ve been thinking...If all of us were in a horror movie, in what order do you think we’d be killed?”
“Though I don’t support your friendly relations with these demons, I hope you have safe travels, Solomon.” A grumble and a pout was all the small angel responded with, a loyal dog watching as his human left to make friends with the neighbors cat.
“Now, Luke, you’ve gotten close to Lucifer and his brothers, there’s no shame in it.” A sweet laugh, as smooth as honey, left the brunette’s lips as he struggled once more to convince the smaller the kindness demons have to offer.
Solomon was used to this, Luke time and time again warning him the dangers of dealing with the devil, but he had experience and 72 demons on his side. If there was any human that could handle themselves against a demon it was him. Though as much as he loved having so much power, he had to admit, it wasn’t enough.
Perhaps his need for power was insatiable, or he had something dark in mind, no one truly knew what  he was planning, or how far he’d go to get what he wanted. In fact, he had plans for making more pacts that day, no matter what he had to do.
“I assure you, I’ll be fine, Luke. You have no need for worry, I know how to work with demons, you should know this by now. I should get going, I have a feeling something big is about to happen.”
With a quick text to Asmodeus, letting the demon know what he was doing in case things went south and he had to summon him for help, the sorcerer walked out of Purgatory Hall.
Somewhere in the Devildom, a plan was set into motion, a smirk in a dark room and eyes glistening in the dark with corrupt plans and carnal desires.
After the human left to bargain with the damned, a lesser heavenly body made its way to the door. Raven hair slightly messy, yet still proper, ocean eyes baring a look of infatuation for all to see. As his slightly gloved hand made its way to the handle, he was stopped in his tracks.
“Orion, where are you going?” A voice called out to him from down the dorm hall, with a slight blush on his cheeks he turned to see Luke walking with Simeon back to their own dorm room.
The starry eyed angel looked at the others, knowing he’d been caught in the act of sneaking to the House of Lamentation, a habit he’d made after developing a soft spot for a certain blonde that resided there.
“Oh, Solomon wasn’t answering any texts, so I was going to the House of Lamentation to check on him, you know, angelic duties.” He was always an awful liar, whether it be his angel blood or his obvious body language, he was transparent.
“He just left, I doubt he’ll be doing any texting while he’s walking and he never actually said which demon he was trying to pact.” Simeon knew why the other wanted to leave, he’d push aside the fib for now and simply speak to him about it when he returned. “Just tell Satan and the others that I said ‘Hello’.”
At the mention of the demon with the golden hair, he turned away, hiding just how his pale, freckled skin burned at his name. Orion could daydream for eons about that man if he had the time, however he only had a year here in the Devildom and while he’d gotten close to him, he still yearned for something more. Something more than speaking about customs from their separate worlds, chatting about astronomy and how beautiful the unknown is, more than sitting in silence as they read together.
Perhaps he was a bit too conspicuous with his emotions, how the other angels could see through him so easily, maybe he’d work on that during his stay.
“R-Right, I’ll let them know.” He used a few fingers to sweep his bangs to the side out of embarrassment, before moving his hand once more to the doorknob, yet again to be interrupted.
He looked down to see Luke’s hand grabbing his arm, a wary look in his eyes paired with a matching frown, his facial expression dead serious.
“Never trust a demon.”
Something the fair haired angel said more often than not to all he crossed, yet this time, it seemed to speak differently, causing Orion to freeze in his tracks as he processed why this same sentence sounded so foreboding
It wasn’t until a sigh was heard that the trance between the two angels broke. “Now Luke, I really hoped you would have gained a bit more confidence in the brothers after all the things they’ve done for you. You can trust them, they may be demons, but it doesn’t mean they’re vicious.”
With a childish huff breaking the gravity of his words, he walked off with Simeon, both probably speaking a farewell that Orion didn’t hear, his mind elsewhere.
~~~~~~~
“You’d be first, Levi.”

“WHAAAAT?!”

“Ah, hang on...I figured if I’m in my room the whole time as usual, I’d be able to stay undetected. But in reality, it could actually make it easier for them to find me, huh! I see…”
As he arrived at the House of Lamentation, walking in through the doors, he still couldn’t shake Luke’s warning. Making his way through the halls, he checked his D.D.D for any responses from the demon that clouded his mind and filled his thoughts. As he walked, he looked around, a bit curiously, it was way too quiet for the House of Lamentation, almost eerie.

Just as he was beginning to question the silence, a voice pierced the quiet and he felt a foot step on the celestial cape that trailed behind him, stopping him in his tracks.

“What’s a low rank angel like you wonderin’ around here for? If you’re lookin’ for Satan, he isn’t in his room, said he had to return a few books.”

Mammon, Avatar of Greed and the only one annoying and disrespectful enough to step on a holy garment with shoes on just to be a nuisance. Orion pulled his cape from underneath the other’s shoes giving an irritated huff.

“Thank you for informing me, now if you don’t mind I’ll wait for him in the planetarium.” He spoke with a smile, sloppily hiding the slight aggravation that came from the other staining the silk that flowed from his shoulders to the floor. Then ignoring him as he turned and walked towards the planetarium, where he usually found himself drawn to, it was calming there.

“H-Hey! You listen here, ya can’t be walkin around like you live here! You’re gonna get in trouble!”

The angel simply kept walking, knowing he tended to get in more trouble if Mammon was within 5 feet of him. He wasn’t exactly in the mood to get thrown into any of his antics today.

“Whatever, angels are still as stubborn and full of themselves as i left.” The demon mumbled to himself as he walked off, taking his schemes elsewhere.

In the planetarium he sat, sighing at his D.D.D. and looking up at the beautiful decor as he waited patiently. He wished Purgatory Hall had this, a place to remind him of where he came from, a place that brought him comfort and peace, the night sky had always soothed his weary soul.

It had only been an hour when he decided maybe he should take a slight nap as he waited, hoping that he wasn’t forgotten about, and admittedly surprised he hadn’t been bothered. As he leaned back in the rosewater velvet chairs and closed his eyes, he heard a silky voice break through his slightly confident exterior, replacing it with an embarrassed and sloppy appearance.

“I figured you’d be up here, I understand if my errands made waiting for me a bit...tiresome.”

There he was in all of his glory, a demon in an angel's body, the most heavenly thing the raven haired boy has seen in hell.

His hair a halo around his head, glowing golden in the light, amber radiating from him brighter than Sirius itself as it flowed through soft wellkept locks. Each strand was a piece of sunshine as it fell in frame with his face, his bangs caressing his skin ever so slightly as they kissed his face. Orion could imagine how it felt to run his fingers through the honey that flowed from his head, perhaps it felt like satin to the touch, gracing his senses each moment.

Looking into his eyes was like staring face to face with a nebula. A sense of both fear and awe washed over as sea green waves pulled the angel under, and as the other filled his lungs, he felt a calm saturate him. The northern lights in his the blonde’s eyes were a powerful force, showing emotions and desires despite the strong mask he wore.

Orion sat up and did his best to act like he couldn’t feel the crimson burn his freckles. “No, no. You’re fine, I just figured I’d rest my eyes a bit while I waited and hope that none of your brothers bother me.”

“I’m surprised you weren’t interrupted, my family doesn’t exactly know the meaning of peace and quiet. Though I suppose this is a good place to find serenity. Perhaps we should read here instead.”

The angel smiled at Satan, his eyes glowing with the look of adoration. “That’d be great.”

After making a trip to the demon’s room, they returned with a few books, the dim light in the planetarium giving a soothing vibe, perfect for reading or simply gazing at the space themed decorations hanging from the ceiling. Taking a seat, they opened their books, nothing but the sound of turning pages and the water from the fountain maintaining such a zen atmosphere.

Each time they accompanied each other, it seemed like Satan was the only one who could concentrate on the task at hand. Orion was always sneaking glances at the other, wondering what he was thinking about, what his hopes and dreams were, what he would do with all the knowledge he’d stored in his head over the years. A demon who knows more than any human alive, and yet all he craves is more knowledge, though the angel supposed that anyone who had such great intelligence would long for more. The unknown brings out curiosity and draws in all who seek to attain its secrets like a siren song, perhaps that’s why Orion’s eyes couldn’t help but to wander back to this demon.

Eventually he would focus on the words in front of him, knowing there would be discussion about it afterwards, it was sort of what the humans called a book club, but with only the two reading their own preferred texts. Slowly the angel’s mind was captivated by the book in his hands, completely ignoring the existence of time itself, all that mattered was the hardcover before him, it’s pages bearing information about the Devildom night sky and it’s wonders. Lost amongst it’s celestial objects, time slipped away from him.
  ~~~~~~~
“So I’d be the first one to get killed, but people won’t find out right away.”
“Levi’s new game shoulda got here by now, he said he wanted to play it with me, but I haven’t got a text from him. He’s been kinda quiet all day hasn’t he?” The Avatar of Greed spoke to himself, walking to his younger brother’s room with an annoyed huff.
“Probably started playin’ it without me that’s what he’s doin’.” As he reached the other’s room, he heard what sounded like game menu music, opening the door with irritation, he was greeted with a sight not too out of the ordinary.
Levi was in Henry’s tank, such an oddly large tank for such a small fish, he never understood it until he started getting in and talking to the goldfish. Being a demon with the build and even features of a sea serpent, he could stay underwater for a while and loved every second of it, especially if they were being spent with Henry. Well, Henry 2.0.
“Get outta the tank Levi, I thought we were s’posed to be playing Bust Sisters Ultra! How am I gonna kick your butt while you’re goofin’ off with Henry?”
No answer, no sound, no movement.
“Levi? Ignorin’ me isn’t gonna make me leave, I thought you were excited about this?”
The second born walked away from the door and closer to the tank. That’s when he realized something, Levi wasn’t even blinking, his eyes frozen in a state of panic.
Levi was dead.
He couldn’t move, he couldn’t scream for nothing wished to come out, the shock of seeing another one of his siblings unmoving hitting him like a freight train. His brain was pushing through slowly, trying to think of what he should do, he had to do something. Grab Lucifer? He’d know what to do, right? No, he had to get Levi out of there, maybe, just maybe, he still had some life in him.
How was he going to get in? How did Levi even get in? He looked around, his eyes watering up and his vision getting blurry, the world itself seeming to come to a sudden halt, yet he felt like he could see everything turning. As the waterworks started, salty rain dripping from sapphire eyes, clouding his vision as he pressed himself up against the glass. He racked his brain, thinking as hard as he could of how to get in, when he looked at his hands, pressed against the glass. He had to break it, it’d flood the house, but that didn’t matter now, what mattered was Levi.
The snowy haired demon started to shake, shifting his demon form and slamming his fist on the glass, tears continuing to slowly spill as he did his best to break the barrier between him and his brother’s body. First Lilith and now Levi, losing siblings took its toll on the demon, after the death of his sister, never did he think he’d feel such pain again.
With a scream and flash of light, the tank cracked, the water doing the rest of the work, breaking the glass and flooding the room out into the hall. Soaked but determined, Mammon pulled his brother from the skeleton of a tank and held him close, he was truly too late.
Annoyed by the ruckus, Lucifer stormed down the hall, his boots making an audible splash on the water soaked carpet. What in the three realms happened here? A thunderous yell boiled in his chest, waiting to be unleashed on whichever one of his foolish brothers decided to flood the entire hall.
He threw open the door, but stopped in seconds, the sight in front of him shaking him to his very core. Mammon looking up at him, tears falling like rain, and a look in his eyes that he hadn’t seen in millennia. He was genuinely broken, and wrapped in his arms in wings was none other than Levi, his body unresponsive.
Lucifer had lost another one, another one of his younger siblings that he’d done everything he could to protect, cold and dead. There was no yell that came from the eldest brother, he simply trembled like a child, walking to view the body of his lifeless brother. He did his best to stay strong, holding himself together for Mammon, for when the others come in, he has to be there for them.
Everyone had heard the glass crack, that wasn’t something uncommon, they heard the door slam open, that happened all the time. It was the silence after that scared them. Usually Lucifer would let out a loud, “MAMMMOOOOON!” or whomever was responsible would let out a whine at the sight of his anger. But utter silence, that was something that never happened in the House of Lamentation.
Slowly, everyone filed down to the hall, the sound of splashing echoing as they followed the water to Levi’s room, all eyes noticing their brother lying stiff, and the strongest of them all hanging on by a thread.
Each brother having a different reaction, all seeing the same scene and reliving past trauma, but all dealing with it so uniquely. It was something the angel wished he never witnessed.
Beelzebub falling beside Mammon, tears filling his eyes as he denied the other’s death, hoping with every fiber in his body that this was all a silly prank. “Levi wake up...this isn’t funny, you and Mammon really fooled us. Now stop this stupid prank, you know this isn’t funny!” He grabbed the third born’s body from his older brother, the other letting him, putting a hand on his shoulder with a defeated look in his eyes.
“He’s gone Beel, this isn’t a joke, I wish it was. I wish it was all a joke but he’s gone.”
The glutton continued to shake his head, crying as he held his brother close, his grip gentle and soft despite his strength. In fact it looked as if he was cradling the corpse like a sleeping child, mumbles mixed with hiccups as he tried to keep quiet, as if not to wake him.
Asmodeus could sense everyone’s desires in the room, his powers becoming the thing that made him the weakest in such a dark situation. The pain, the agony, the craving for justice and the rising anger and depression filled the tank lit room like smoke. There was one feeling that kept him from being overwhelmed, simply because it stood out from them all. Disgust and pride, a strong desire for the angel that was frozen in shock near the doorframe. His eyes followed this desire, but as he started, the feeling was gone. No, as if he were cut off, perhaps the perpetrator was in this room, lacing themself with a temporary magic, meaning that they possessed power greater than he did. Strange.
The blonde’s reaction was perhaps the most calm out of all them, then again, he was always well known for his masked smile. But it seemed even he was shedding tears over the loss of his brother, struggling to keep up the facade he wore, turning his head to avert eyes from anyone as well as the body in his brother’s arms.
Belphegor was the first to break, seeing his twin so upset and sharing his pain, as well as having flashbacks to his little sister arrow ridden, he couldn’t take it. Turning to his eldest brother, he began to shout, “How could you let this happen! You’re supposed to protect us! You lost Lilith and now Levi is murdered in our own home! Who’s to say we won’t all be killed, Lucifer? And you’re powerless and weak just like always!”
The room got silent.
Orion felt an unease washing over, he shouldn’t be here, he shouldn’t see this. Demons this strong looking like they’re about to shatter like glass, Hell’s finest having tears pool up and drip down their faces as they kneel around Leviathan. He was in shock, whispering in angelic tongue, a prayer and words that just seemed to spill out of his mouth because of his current surprised state.
He shouldn’t have spoken a word, especially not in tongues.
In the blink of an eye Lucifer was in full demon form, slamming him against the wall with a snarl, his eyes betraying the look of fury on his face. His powers making the angel feel like his very soul was being torn apart, the fury of an ex archangel was nothing to laugh at.
“It was you wasn’t it? Does father really wish for me to suffer that he’d send one of his glorified rodents down to take my family away?! Haven’t we had our punishment?!” His words like a frozen blade, cold and cutting deep as the angel struggled in his grasp, wriggling like a worm in a bird's beak.
“Lucifer, stop! I understand your anger, but clearly you aren’t thinking straight, do you want another war?” Orion didn’t need to look to know who was speaking, Satan being the voice of reason, knowing that he couldn’t have done it. “He was with me the entire time, let the angel go before you start something you can’t finish!”
With a growl, the raven haired demon released the celestial being, turning away from the gazes of his brothers, they all seemed to look up at him in search of command and comfort. Lucifer couldn’t protect Levi, the otaku who’d never done anything wrong, who never left his room. How could he protect them? Who did such a thing to Levi?
Sadly, they didn’t have time to mourn, if there was something there, someone there that could kill their third most powerful, they couldn’t rest until it too was breathless.
The Truth Untold
Tumblr media
Image credit: Screenshot from Fake Love (BTS-Fake Love) BTS Comeback Show 180524
Characters: Jimin x Female Reader
Genre: Angst Synopses: Hiding behind a mask (literally and figuratively), a man keeps himself away in his home in the country. He spends his days tending a garden where in which blooms beautiful flowers that attract a new neighbor. Her presence forces him to face himself. Could he change for her and be the man she insists he is or will he continue to hide behind his mask?
                                         ༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
Part 1
 Word count: 1.5K
Full of loneliness
     This garden bloomed
          Full of thorns
               I bind myself in this sand castle
 The days ran the same for Park Jimin, just as they had for the past 10 years. Planting his feet on the floor, he hung his head and stared at the intricate patterns on the rug through the fringe of his hair. Though morning had come and it was the start of a new day, he was already thinking of curling back into his bed to continue to sleep.
Did he really have to get out of bed? There was no one here to tell him otherwise, so did he really have to?
Sighing heavily he heaved himself up, languidly making his way to the chamber pot. His eyes briefly met his own in the mirror above the water basin and he flinched, disgusted by what he saw. Eyes downcast, he removed the pitcher from the basin and poured the water in. He splashed the tepid water over his face and neck before he brushed his teeth. He relieved himself, then shaved the scruff on his face he’d caught a glimpse of before he’d looked away from his reflection.
Once done he was ready for his morning coffee. As he padded across the cool stone flooring, his sight fell upon the black hooded cloak at the end of the hall. He shivered in repulsion knowing his mask was amongst its folds.
He despised the thing. It was a constant reminder of the black hole that had become his life simply for being who he was. How he wished he could be liberated from it, but to do so would mean certain death for him.
Perhaps that would not be such a bad outcome after all, he thought bitterly before he reached the hearth in his vast kitchen. He was quick to start a fire, hanging a pot of water over the flames. There was no one here to assist him in these everyday duties. No kitchen maid or housekeeper. He was master here as well as servant.
Unhurriedly, he scooped a few spoon full of coffee grounds into a cheese cloth he had sown around a looped wire. Twirling it tightly he then set it gently into the now bubbling water, the uncovered metal of the hoop hanging outside of the pot. While the coffee was brewing, he buttered a chunk of bread, adding cheese, and then stepped outside to check if any correspondence had arrived.
There was only one person who wrote him. Only one person who knew of his true identity. The only other person who knew of his existence was dead to him.
Finding no letters at his front stoop, he returned, setting his breakfast and coffee on his thick wooden table. He sat then and ate. The quiet of the house, his only companion, surrounded him. Him sipping at the bitter hot liquid was the only sound. When he was through with his breakfast, he washed the few dishes he’d used, tossed the coffee grounds out, then peered out of the kitchen window to the flower garden he’d worked on for nearly four years now.
It was the only thing that kept him sane, though he felt as if he didn’t deserve it. When his fingers delved into the moist dark soil he felt alive again. When he tilled and prepped the earth, it was as if he was comforted, his horrid past washed away. For him, it was as if the growth of each flower that bloomed told him that not all was lost, not all was ugly… but the moment he stepped back into the house, a shadow crept in across his heart and all was back to how it was every day for him: desolate and dark.
                                         ༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
 What is your name
     Do you have a place to go
          Oh could you tell me?
               I saw you hiding in this garden
 A movement at the far edge of his garden caught his attention and he froze, his heart instantly picking up speed. Had he been found? Would he have to leave now? His chest heaved as panic began to set in. This was the longest he’d been able to stay in one place. Being this far out in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, kept him pretty much isolated. Had someone discovered the identity of the young man that lived there, whom wore a mask to greet those that dared come to his door?
He leaned closer to the window, the kitchen counter biting into his abdomen as he stretched forward for a better look. The messenger boy had already come through at daybreak. He was not due to come again for another day. Who could be out there?
And then he saw her. A young woman sitting on his stone hedge gazing appreciatively at the vast array of colorful flowers. There were roses, peonies, and smeraldos to name a few. Her eyes then followed the butterflies that fluttered around, one alighting gently on the velvety petals of an open blood red rose to drink of the nectar. Her lips parted merrily and he imagined a very delicate giggle of delight that might come from her throat as she reveled in the magnificence of his garden.
He’d never seen a more beautiful woman in his life. Who was she? Where did she come from? Jimin did not recall having seen her before, but then again rare was the time he actually took much notice of those around him in town as he was always in a rush to get back home.
She looked up towards the kitchen window causing Jimin to instinctively jerk back, hiding himself in the shadows of his home. He watched her head tilt curiously as she squinted. Had she seen him? He didn’t believe so. The young woman hopped off of his fence, her loose hair bouncing behind her as she jogged towards a chestnut colored mare he hadn’t noticed before. His eyes followed her as she expertly mounted the animal, then urged it leisurely away from his home.
He relaxed when she became naught but a dark speck in the distance. He would give it a few days to see if any other strangers came by. He would certainly pack some essentials and keep them nearby in case he had to leave in a rush, he was no fool, but his instincts told him he was not in danger of her knowing who he was. Yet, there was a stirring in his chest, something akin to longing, and somehow that seemed just as dangerous.
                                         ༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
And I know
     All of your warmth is real
         The blue flower your hand was picking
               I want to hold it but
The young woman returned twice more. Each time she was alone, save for her gentle mare who always waited for her patiently. The woman would sit on his hedge, her eyes flitting over his aromatic florals. The tightness in her face would soon relax as she sat there for an hour. It was as if his garden provided her the same peace he felt when he tended to it.
He’d watched as she’d hopped over the barrier and into his garden and walked amongst the blooms. Her fingertips brushed against the petals and she smiled as if she shared secrets with the very flowers that she passed. Finding much interest particularly on one of the blue ones, a smeraldo, she plucked it and he wondered what it would be like to hold the same hand that held the exquisite flower.
Tearing his gaze away from the window he knew he shouldn’t want such things. Someone as beautiful as she should be free to be out amongst nature without the fear of harm befalling her because of the very man standing at her side. Someone as free spirited as she should not be locked up in a house to wilt away.
No. He would do best to shake such foolish thoughts from his mind. Lying on the settee he closed his eyes, deciding to take a nap until he was certain she was gone.
A knock echoed throughout the bottom floor just as his head hit the cushion. He jolted back up to his feet, dashing to the foyer to snatch up his cloak. He flung it on quickly, mask held in his hand as he reached the front door in a few rushed strides.
Trying to stay as quiet as possible, the raven haired young man pressed his ear to the door and held his breath.
“Hello!” A most angelic voice penetrated through the door and entered straight into his soul. What spell was this woman weaving over him? “Hello? Is the mistress or master of this home available?”
He pressed his palm against the coolness of the wood willing her to stay and speak more. He already knew her voice would haunt his dreams for many nights to come.
But she didn’t stay. At no one answering her calls, the young woman returned back around the home, mounted her horse and left, blue flower clutched in her hand.
Thank you for reading. This has been a long time coming. This is one of my favorite songs and I immediately came up with this story when I first heard it. Unfortunately it took me almost two years to write this because I kept getting writers block. I’m so happy to have finally finished it after all this time. Let me know what you think.
The Least Suspecting People: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ
Summary: Sometimes, even the least suspecting people have the most deepest, darkest secrets.
Ted was about to lay down and go to bed, but before he could even take his shoes off, he heard a loud bang come from downstairs. The man growled and immediately got back up.
"God damn it.", he growled, "I swear if that little pest is back, I'll make sure he...oh I have big plans for him."
He stomped downstairs and ran to the kitchen, picking up a sharp butcher knife. However, he didn't see anyone around.
Then the noise came again, and it came from the living room.
Ted went to the living room, and just as he suspected, two raven dressed figures stood in his living room.
"I knew it was you.", he said, he held his knife high over head and stalked towards them. "I warned your boss what would happen if any of you ever set foot into my house again."
One of the ravens put their hands up, backing away. "Wait, please! Look, we don't want any trouble!", he said.
For some reason, Ted recognized that voice. "I'm sorry, but you sound familiar.", he said.
The other raven stepped in front of their friend, "No he doesn't!", she said, and she put her hands up to try and cover her mouth behind her mask.
Yep, Ted knew who these people were.
"James. Luanne.", he said.
Shamefully, Jay took off his mask and held it in his hands. "I told you he'd recognize us even with the masks."
"Oh shut up.", said Luanne, snatching her mask off her face.
Ted sighed and put down the knife, "Out of all of the most selfish and conniving people in this town, I would have never thought either of you would be in this cult. I expected better from you two."
Luanne rolled her eyes and pointed at Ted, "Look who the fuck is talking. You have a fucking grave in your backyard, who isn't going to suspect that you killed someone? At least me and Jay still have some morals."
"Do you? Do you still have morals, Luanne?", Ted asked, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow. "No one with morals would be where you two are right now."
Jay pinched the bridge of his nose, "Look, we're looking for a little black book. Do you know what that is or where it is?"
Ted looked at Jay, "Oh I have it alright, but I won't tell you where it is."
Jay sighed, "Let's just go, Lu."
But Luanne didn't listen to her husband, she reached towards the knife on the floor and pointed it at Ted, "I'm not leaving without that book! Do you know what'll happen to us if we go back to the boss empty-handed?!"
"Oh I know."
Ted smacked the knife out of Luanne's hand and punched her in the stomach, making her fall to the ground. Jay immediately bent down and helped his wife back up.
"But you two got yourselves into this mess."
Jay sighed once again and helped Luanne to the door, but not before looking at Ted one more time. "Before we go, can I ask you to do something for us?"
Ted sighed and rolled his eyes, "Fine. What is it?"
Jay looked down at the floor, then back up at Ted.
"You remember Nicky, don't you?"
Ted looked at the man, a little surprised. "Nicholas? Of course I remember him."
"Great. It's just that we might not be around for him most of the time, and if he knew about any of this, he'd be heartbroken.", said Jay. "We're all he's got. Would you mind checking on him every now and then?"
It was at that moment that Ted actually felt sympathy for one of the raven people. He wanted all of these people and their boss to die, but these two had actual lives, great lives, and they had a child.
"Of course, James. It's the least I can do.", he said.
"Thank you, Ted. You're a real piece of work."
"Real piece of shit is more like it.", said Luanne. Jay turned to his wife, "Lu, are we really in any position to say that?""
After they left, Ted moved to his window and looked down the street to the Roth's house, and one particular window was Nicky's room.
"Oh, Nicholas...", he whispered, "You are too innocent for a town like this, but I will take really good care of you."
So i saw Matpat’s latest video about shared universes (starting with Doom and somehow connecting it with Kingdom Hearts) and my crazy brain thought it would be a good idea to expand it even FURTHER all because he used Spider-Man to connect to Thanos in Fortnite (yes seriously)
So behold, all the shit i had to go through to make connections to everything i can find and think of
So since all Spider-Mans are in one multiverse, that means all versions of Spider-Man are canon, so let's look at two cases of alternate Spider-Mans. Theres the Japanese Spider-Man, which was created by Toei as a collab by Marvel, Toei also created Super Sentai, which has connections to Kamen Rider (Super Hero Taisen), Metal Hero (some crossover movies), and obviously Power Rangers. Power Rangers had a crossover with TMNT, which has connections to not only other versions of TMNT but also other series like Batman (basically the whole DC universe is involved), Archie, X-Files, Ghostbusters, Rabbids (they were an extra character in a fighting game, as like a promotion for the new game), and all the toons that showed up in Cartoon All-Stars, like the Smurfs, Alf, Garfield, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Winnie the Pooh (which is already tying back up to Kingdom Hearts), Muppet Babies, Looney Toons, and Ducktales.
Now Muppet Babies is part of the Muppet franchise, the Muppets are connected to Sesame Street, which opens up a can of worms for connections. Some characters cameoed in Between the Lions, Mr Rogers' Neighbor Hood, The Electric Company, Reading Rainbow, Poky Little Puppy, and a bunch of these characters appeared in a We are Family music video, which has *inhales* Bear in the Big Blue House, Barney, Arthur, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Rugrats, The Magic School Bus, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Blue's Room, Blue's Clues, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Kim Possible, The Proud Family, LazyTown, Lilo & Stitch: the Series, Madeline,Little Bill, The Fairly OddParents, Zoom, AND a whole bunch more shows.
Obviously Jimmy Neutron and Fairly Odd Parents had a crossover (three in fact), but those other shows had crossovers too, like Rugrats having a crossover with Wild Thornberrys, Lilo and Stitch had crossovers too, they had crossovers with The Proud Family, Kim Possible, Recess, and American Dragon Jake Long. Spongebob is connected to a lot of Nicktoons shows through the bumpers on the channel and had a major crossovers with Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Tak, and Invader Zim in the Nicktoons Unite games.
Looney Toons is connected to all other Hanna Barbera property, which had crossovers as well (look at Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry, they're LOADED with crossovers with other series), as for the Looney Toons cast themselves, examples include Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pokemon (in a commercial in Kids WB), The Justice League, Wild Kratts (Kinda? The two characters, Road Runner and Wild E. Coyote, were pretty much referenced as a way to say that real life coyotes can catch up to road runners), and The Amazing World of Gumball. And Pokemon had a crossover game with Nobunaga's Ambition called Pokemon Conquest. AND Ducktales is connected to Darkwing Duck and the same goes with the reboot.
Okay now back to where we started, Power Rangers had a crossover episode with Masked Rider, which is an adaptation of Kamen Rider Black RX, Kamen Rider had a FEW crossovers with other series, like Crayon Shin-chan, Pac-Man, Osomatsu-San, Hello Kitty, Pretty Cure, and a few others. Pretty Cure only had crossovers with itself but there is one pic floating around the internet showing one of the Cures standing in front of Arresterdramon Superior Mode, so it might hint to a commercial happening during that time. Hello Kitty has a ton of crossovers with different series, such as Sonic, Cookie Run, Pac-Man, Puzzles and Dragons, Doraemon, Yokai Watch, and several others. In Osomatsu-San Hesokuri Wars, they have costumes/sets of the six brothers being yokai, magical girls, monsters, angels, knights, super heroes, greek
gods, and others. Yokai is also connected to Yokai Watch, which has it's own crossovers with other series, like Final Fantasy, Terminator, Inazuma Eleven (which had commercials that crossed over with Despicable Me), The Seven Deadly Sins, Detective Conan, Hello Kitty (which brings this back to Hello Kitty and its crossovers), Inuyasha, Professor Layton, and several others. Professor Layton had a crossover game with Ace Attorney, which has many references and a small amount of crossovers.
Now let's move on to another Spider-Man, the one from Ultimate Spider-Man, obviously he's connected to the other Marvel shows that take place in that universe, but Spider-Man had crossover episodes/specials with Phineas and Ferb and Jessie, Jessie having connections with other Disney Sit-com shows like Austin and Ally, Good Luck Charlie, Liv and Maddie, and a few others, HOWEVER Mr. Moseby from the Suite Life of Zach and Cody appeared in one episode, which means that Jessie is in the same universe as That's So Raven, Hannah Montanna, Cory in the House (yeah yeah yeah, i can hear the anime memes from a mile away -_-), and Wizards of the Waverly Place. Phineas and Ferb also had crossover specials/episodes with Star Wars and Milo Murphy's Law, Star Wars has many crossovers and references in other shows, like the Muppets, Seasame Street, Captain N, Mario (in that old Mario cartoon episode where they parodied it), Putt-Putt, Megaman, Duke Nukem, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Dragon Ball, Transformers, Metal Gear, Angry Birds, Lego, Club Penguin, and several others.
The Star Wars references were in Megaman V and Megaman Zero, sprites from Megaman Zero were used to create sprites of TV Tome Adventures, which then became TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise and then it turned into the video game version of that show, the creator of the show, Kirbopher, did an animation related to Super Mario RPG, and had many voice roles like in Mob Psycho 100, Pokemon, and other series. Dragon Ball is the prequel of Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z Super made it clear that there's other universes so all of those are connected as well, and Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z had crossovers with other shows like One Piece, Dr Slump, Astro Boy, Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo, and a few others. Metal Gear had crossovers and references in Terminator, Gundam, Castlevania, Mario, Zelda, Ape Escape, Yugioh (which connects itself to the other seasons like GX, 5D's, Zexal, Arc-V, and Vrains), Monster Rancher, Yoshi, The Standley Parable (only in the demo), and several others. Transformers, since it's made by Hasbro, is also connected to other Hasbro property, such as My Little Pony (and Equestria Girls), and they had references to other series in both the show and in the IDW comics, like pony versions of Rick and Morty appearing in one episode, pony versions of characters from Sailor Moon, Gravity
Falls, Kill La Kill, Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Frozen, and few other shows and even pony versions of IRL people like Gordon Ramsey. Transformers had crossovers and references to other series as well such as G.I Joe, Doctor Who, Spider Man, Star Wars, Marvel, and several other shows, and apparently Jem, Inhumanoids, C.O.P.S, and Robotix takes place in the Transformers universe.
Angry Birds had crossovers with other series like Rio, Star Wars, Puzzles and Dragons, Transformers, Sonic, The Muppets, and many levels in their games make references to other series. Lego Dimensions is full of crossovers, like The A-Team, Adventure Time, Back to the Future, Beetlejuice, DC Comics, Doctor Who, E.T, Fantastic Beasts, Ghostbusters (both the original and the 2016 reboot), The Goonies, Gremlins, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Knight Rider, Legends of Chima, other Lego property, Lord of the Rings, Midway Arcade, Mission: Impossible, Portal, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby-Doo, Simpsons, Sonic, Teen Titans Go!, and The Wizard of Oz. Speaking of The Simpsons, they had crossovers with other shows like Family Guy and Futurama, AND they cameoed appeared in South Park, and Family Guy is in the same universe as American Dad and The Cleveland Show. The Simpsons also had crossovers with The Critic, X-Files, King of the Hill, Robot Chicken, Bob's Burgers (which means it's also connected to the Archer Show), Rick and Morty, and several series get mentioned in the show itself. As for Sonic, he had a crossover comic series with Megaman, he had crossovers in the comics with Sabrina the Teenage Witch and DC (it was part of a Sonic Super Special comic but for some reason the Wikis won't tell me if it's generally DC or some part of it >:/ ), Sonic had levels in Sonic Lost World that were crossovers with NiGHTS, Legend of Zelda, and Yoshi's Wooly World, in Sonic Forces, there's DLC costumes that are based off of NiGHTS, Beat from Jet Set Radio, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, and Joker from Persona 5. Sonic had crossover games with other SEGA series, but in Sonic Dash, they had events that had crossovers with Angry Birds, Hello Kitty, and Pac-Man. In one of the Vocaloid games, Miku had a costume that was a Sonic hoodie, to celebrate Sonic's anniversary, Vocaloid made many songs and some of these songs branch out into their own series, one of them being Black Rock Shooter, and i swear BRS was a guest character in some fighting game but i don't remember what the name was.
Okay, now let's head back to Marvel, one of the characters that's paired up with Spider-Man (except for the Movie universe) is Deadpool, and in one comic, he takes a girl to see Hamilton. In one of the Hamildrops, they did a crossover song which was a mix of Story of Tonight and You'll be Found from Dear Evan Hansen called "Found Tonight", one of the actors from Dear Evan Hansen is now playing the role of Jeremy in Be More Chill, and in the original 2015 performance of BMC, the actor who played Jenna also played Martha in Heathers, and Eric William Morris, who played Squip, also played Jordan in The Ballad of Little Jo. And since we're using actors to connect series...*inhales* Lin Manuel Miranda (who plays Alexander in Hamilton) also had roles in In The Heights, 21 Chump Street, Mary Poppins Returns, Ducktales Reboot, Do No Harm, Looking for Maria Sanchez, Sesame Street, House M.D, and a few others. Mary Poppins Returns is a sequel to the original Mary Poppins so they instantly connect, and i'm gonna make a crazy theory of House M.D taking place in the same city (or state) as Blue Bloods and Forever, both shows have characters played by Eric William Morris, who had roles in Trust, Greed, Bullets, and Bourbon, Royal Pains, As The World Turns, and few other small roles. But one of his current roles is Carl from King Kong Broadway, which is based off of King Kong, and King Kong had a crossover film with Godzilla, and there's a short film that had Ultraman and Kamen Rider (i think it was Godzilla?? It was a giant lizard thing :/). However, King Kong was the inspiration behind Donkey Kong, which now has connections to both Mario and Donkey Kong series. Donkey Kong had crossovers/references with Frogger, Pitfall, Qubert, Mickey (from Disney), Punch Out, Mother, Earthworm Jim, Kirby, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Scott Pilgrim, The Fast and the Furious, Class of 3000, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, Big Bang Theory, Metroid, Pushmo, Minecraft, Gravity Falls, Wreck It Ralph, Pixels, Skylanders, several others, and had japanese exclusive songs in Donkey Konga that had songs from Super Sentai, Pretty Cure, Pikmin, Naruto, Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers, and several others.
Minecraft had a Super Mario texture pack in the Switch version of Minecraft, plus a Steven Universe texture pack as well, there are console exclusive skins based off of characters from Gears of War, Halo, Banjo-Kazooie, Dust, Tony Hawk, Left 4 Dead, Boarderlands, Conker, Half-Life, Portal, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and several other shows. Steve from Minecraft can be an unlockable character in games like Super Meat Boy, Choplifter, Retro City Rampage, and Creepers can be found in Blocks that Matter, Boarderlands, Torchlight, and Minecraft is refernced in Adventure Time, Octodad, The Stanley Parable, Skyrim, and South Park. And since Minecraft has Halo skins, this ties into Red VS Blue, a show that uses assets from the Halo series. And Red VS Blue appeared in a promotional video alongside the main cast of RWBY. Mother (or Earthbound) is the inspiration for Undertale, which had a sequel called Deltarune, and in one of the locations in Deltarune is a place called "Ice-E's Pezza", and Burgerpants mentions a guy named "Purple Guy" which is a reference to Purple Guy from Five Nights at Freddies. Crash Bandicoot had two crossover games with Spyro the Dragon and had references in Uncharted, Futurama, Johnny Test, Family Guy, Jimmy Neutron, The Country Bears, Jak and Daxter, Friends, The Simpsons, Tomb Raider, and several others. And Mickey is one of the characters in Kingdom Hearts, so now we come in full circle with Matpat's theory.
So started with Spider-man (well two versions of Spider-man) and ended it with Mickey, i'm sure there's other series out there that i forgot to bring up but eh, this is long enough :/
Easter at Raven Brooks part 1
It was a normal day in Raven Brooks Children were missing, neighbors were cranky, Mr.Peterson was being weird as usual the weather for cast said that it was going to be sunny today with sixty percent rain but there was no cloud to be seen.
Nicky was just watching tv in his living room he really had nothing to do I mean he could see if there were any more missing kids but he wasn’t in the mood he was just tired and wanted to get some sleep but he knew he had to get up so he did and now he was just watching some news well while day dreaming of being with the girl he loved until there was knock on the door Nicky grunted and got up from his couch that he slept on and went to the door he figure it was the mail man or Mr.Peterson going to creep him out he didn’t expect the entire gang.
“ Hey Nicky “ they all said Nicky all stared at them “ um hey...why are you guys here “ they all just look at him “ well we went to get you cause were having a easter egg hunt “ Trinity said which made Nicky stare her he then look at his watch and realize it was easter “ I didn’t realize “ he said “ well did you realize your wearing your flannel Pajamas “ she said which made Nicky look down he remember when he actually almost walk outside in his pajamas if he didn’t look in mirror.
Nicky sighed “ I am glad you got dressed for the day “ Maritza said with a smirk which made Nicky give her a look “ well Nicky are you coming to do a easter egg hunt “ Enzo asked which made Nicky just stand there to Think “ I mean I guess I have nothing else to do so I guess so “ he said “ alright let go bro oh wait get some clothes on we will be leaving in a few mins “ Caleb/Bagger said.
after a few mins Nicky got dressed and went with the gang to where the easter hunt was going to be they walk and just chat about the news as well as Trinity’s weird gum addiction to which her excuse was “ I love gum and there nothing wrong with that plus I brush my teeth everyday so I am fine “ but then they stop talking when they made it to the old museum that was left abandon for sometime.
“ okay were here “ Trinity said while looking at it “ yeah a perfect place to have a easter egg hut I mean it not weirdest thing in this place “ Maritza said “ it looks creepy are we sure we should do this “ Enzo said everyone just look at the museum then they all did a vote “ okay who to go home and play video games “ Trinity said.
Enzo, Inventor/Jessie,
“ and who wants to go in “ Trinity said
Nicky, Maritza, Caleb, Scout/Rui
“ WHAT Nicky come on what about playing Smash 4 this place looks like it is going to fall apart” Enzo said to which Nicky just gave him a look “ one we play that game over sixity six times two you guys brought me all the way up here  when I was having a good daydream “ Nicky said to which Maritza snorted “ oh let me guess were you daydreaming of kissing your crush Dios you keep not telling us on who you are in love with “ Maritza said which made Nicky blush “ I-I- rather not say “ he said but before Maritza could response Trinity stop them “ okay okay let just get going so I can see if they have any speedrunner candy bars “
after that they all went to the door to the museum to see it locked “Well look at that we better get going “ Enzo said before the door was unlock and to open it was a man in a weird hoddie and rabbit mask “ Why hello there brat-children “ he said “ hello good sir sorry but is this where the easter egg hunt is “ Rui asked which the man smiled with a smile that was familiar to Nicky which made him stare “ why yes come in I have already hidden the eggs so please come in the baskets are on your left “ the man said the children follow him and grab each basket with Nicky still glaring at the man.
“ alright children you ready “ the man asked to which Trinity raised her hand “ yes “ the man said “ sir where are all the other people and why is it just you “ she asked to which the man smiled “ well the other children are around and the parents are in the back yard here take a look “ Trinity look out side and saw people out side “ okay well thank you sir “ she said “ why of course now have fun “ he said as he open the door. when the doors open they all ran Nicky Maritza and Rui took the upstairs Jessie ran to the garage Caleb ran to the upstairs as well and Enzo and Trinity went to the pretzel place.
Caleb kept looking around but there was no easter eggs anywhere he look high and low yet he couldn’t find any which made him get frustrated “ Is there even eggs in this dump “ he said to him self he then kept looking around but yet couldn’t find anything he search for ten mins and still couldn’t find any.
he got mad and started to go down stairs but then he saw a unlock door “ wait when was this here “ he said he then open the door and gasp there was a giant egg on the desk “ OH MY GOD YES FINALLY OH COME TO PAPA “ he screamed he then grab the egg but when he did he saw it was a little bit open he saw some wrapper that had to be for some chocolate oh he loved chocolate so he opened the egg up only to be sprayed with some gas he started gagging and for moment he couldn’t breath he felt something on his throat he open his eyes to see the man choking him he tried to screamed but then felt something in his chest and now he was on the ground he tried getting up he look at the man he just smiled “ one brat down “ he said.
Jessie was just looking around not for some eggs but for some tools or old gears he can salvage from this place he couldn’t help himself but he loved to just search for old stuff that can be use to invent stuff he kept looking around and then he went to the garage and saw a old amusement park roller coaster “ cool “ but when he walk up to it that the coaster was filled.....eggs not just two or four but filled with a lot of eggs he was awe struck “ HOLY ELECTRONIC DEVICE I’M RICH WITH CANDY THIS IS GOING IN MY ATTIC FOR ONLY ME “ he screamed he knew he could share some eggs a specially to his boy friend Huggs he then scooped the eggs in his bag and kept doing so until he felt something it wasn’t a egg but it was something.
He then dig through it and saw a....hand he then pulled it and that saw a face move the eggs kept digging until he let out a screamed it was head of a little girl Jessie was going run out of here until he hands from behind him grab his face he try to wiggle out but he couldn’t until he felt a pain in his stomach “ say happy easter to Lucy for me. “
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
When We Say Goodbye - Ch1 - Broken Marissonshipping
Here’s chapter 1 of 3 of my new “broken” Marissonshipping fanfic. Just a fair warning, this story isn’t a happy fic full of fluff. It’s called “broken” for a reason-- with Alain and Mairin not being a couple in this fic. It will still have elements of this ship though, and all of the character’s actions will be explained in time. Thank you for reading.
   “Do I have to go to Daddy’s house?”
   Mairin glanced at the rear-view mirror at the small child in the back seat. The five year old girl was sitting in a booster seat, staring out the window. A limp Fennekin plush was wrapped in her arms, the small girl fidgeting as she watched buildings roll by.
   “Don’t you like spending time with Daddy, Faith?” Mairin asked the young girl, keeping a simple ‘unfortunately’ from slipping off her tongue instead. A pair of bright amber eyes met Mairin’s in the mirror, a deflated look on her daughter’s face.
   Faith let out a loud sigh. “There’s just nothing to do at Daddy’s,” She muttered, hugging her Fennekin doll closer. “We never do anything– Dad’s just in his office all day until it’s dinnertime or something, and I get so bored, Mommy. I never get to play with him.”
   Mairin’s throat tightened at this news, but she had to force her gaze away from the mirror so she could focus on her driving. The woman’s hands had noticeably tightened on the steering wheel. She stole one more glance at her dark-haired daughter, before looking out at the road.
   “...Does he read you bedtime stories?” Mairin asked. “Tuck you in? Take you anywhere?”
   “Nuh-uh,” Faith replied, before adding on: “Sometimes he does tuck me in and give me a kiss– but usually he’s in his office at bedtime.”
   Mairin gritted her teeth– she knew that her ex-husband wasn’t the most cheerful and social person– but that did not mean he had the right to neglect their daughter. She swallowed the desire to turn the car around and take Faith home– but it was his week to have her. He had custody over her only one weekend a month, and then one week for the summer months, a schedule they had worked out for when Faith would be enrolled in school.
   And here she was about to drop her daughter off for his week of June– and she was finding out that he barely gave her the time of day.
   “I’ll talk to your father when we get there,” Mairin said, trying to keep the bitterness out of her voice. “And I’ll make sure he spends time with you this week.”
   “How much longer until we're there?” Faith asked, plucking at the tuffs of hair coming from the Fennekin doll’s ears.
   Mairin glanced around at the buildings– which were getting dingier by the block. “Only a few more minutes.”
   “Oh...” Faith said, voice void of any excitement. Mairin took in a deep breath, not wanting her daughter to see her angry.
   But she did have some words in mind for when they’d arrive at Alain’s.
-----------------------------------------
   Mairin supposed that Alain’s apartment was a decent size for the part of Laverre City he was living in– but that didn’t change the fact that she was less than happy leaving her daughter there every month.
   She was sure to double check that her car was locked as she parked it on the streets, the horn echoing in confirmation. Faith’s hand was wrapped tightly in hers, the girl’s backpack swung over Mairin’s shoulder. She glanced around at the graffitied walls and the garbage blowing about the streets, shuddering to herself. She tugged Faith closer to her, before heading off towards Alain’s building.
   “Second floor, room twelve,” Faith muttered as they entered the building. “Daddy says not to go anywhere else if I somehow get outside of his apartment, don’t talk anyone else, just go up the stairs and find the twelve.”
   “At least he’s done one thing right,” Mairin said, mostly to herself as she lead Faith towards the stairs– she did not trust the elevators here.
   “One-two,” Faith said, her Fennekin doll in one hand as they climbed the steps. “Daddy says the twelve looks like a one-two– but one plus two is three, isn’t it?”
   “Mmm-hmm,” Mairin said, more focused on scanning the dark hallways than she was listening to her daughter. There was no one else in sight as they headed up the stairs, but she wasn’t going to relax until her daughter was in Alain’s apartment.
   And she probably wouldn’t even relax then.
   The light on the second floor was flickering as they reached it, a Spinarak making a web across the light. Apartment number eleven stood to their right, which Mairin quickly looked over, eyes locking on twelve. Mairin stiffened up as she noticed someone walking away from the door however– someone that wasn’t Alain.
   The green-haired woman looked right at Mairin, a slight smirk crossing her face like they had a shared secret. The woman’s gaze then flickered towards Faith, giving her a small, mocking wave with her fingers. Faith looked up at Mairin uncertainly at this action– who pulled her daughter in close to her, inching back up towards the wall. The smirk on the woman’s face didn’t fade, simply walking past them towards the elevator.
   “Who was she, Mommy?” Faith asked, breaking the tense silence once the woman was gone. “Why was she at Daddy’s place?”
   Mairin struggled against a lump at her throat– this wasn’t her business, it didn’t matter... it didn’t matter! It had been over a year since the divorce, Alain could be with whoever he pleased, it wasn’t her business...
   “Probably just a neighbor,” Mairin said, voice a bit higher as she tried to keep her tone even. “C-come on, let’s go in now, ‘kay...?”
   Making sure that Faith was right at her side, Mairin guided her towards the door, knocking.
   No answer.
   Mairin closed her eyes, counting in her mind to thirty before knocking again. Still, she heard no signs of anyone inside moving about, just silence. She gritted her teeth– they did not have time to play waiting games. Once more she pounded on the door, a bit more furiously this time.
   “Daddy’s home, right?” Faith asked uncertainly.
   Mairin’s voice was a growl. “He most certainly is,” She raised her voice. “And if he knows what’s good for him he’ll come open this door now!”
   She heard the shuffling of footsteps, slowly walking towards the door. She relaxed slightly, foot tapping impatiently as she listened to the familiar steps approach the door. The door knob jingled– lock clicking as it was pulled open slowly. A pair of sharp blue eyes peered at her from the dim room, before pulling the door open fully.
   “Hello,” Alain said softly, voice void of all emotion. His gaze lingered on Mairin for one moment, before drifting down to Faith. “Hi sweetie.”
   “Hi Daddy,” Faith said, rocking back and forth on her heels. “Who was just here?”
   Alain’s eyes flickered nervously. “You saw her?”
   “Yeah, Mommy says she must of been your neighbor,” Faith said, attempting to step forward into the apartment, but Mairin’s grasp made that impossible. “Can I go in now, Mom?”
   Mairin hesitated, before loosening her grip. “Yes dear, let me help you with your bag.”
   And with that Mairin let herself in, Alain taking a startled step back as she entered. Mairin glanced around the apartment, not wanting to look at Alain. The decent-sized sitting room was connected with small kitchen, a bar between them. There was a hallway that lead off from the kitchen, most likely towards the bedrooms. Alain uncertainly shut the door behind them, lingering by the entrance, eyes glued to the floor.
   Mairin swung the backpack off of her shoulder, holding it out towards Faith. The raven-haired girl took it in her arms, struggling to keep it and her Fennekin plush balance in her grasp. Finally she had no choice but to set both of them down, slipping the backpack on, before reclaiming her toy.
   “Why don’t you take Kindle and your bag to your room, okay honey?” Mairin said to Faith in the softest tone she could managed.
   “Are you going to stay here?” Faith asked hopefully, amber eyes gleaming. Mairin’s heart tightened, and she shook her head.
   “I’m just going to talk to your father then head home,” Mairin explained, hating the way her daughter’s gaze fell.
   “Oh. Okay then,” She muttered, hugging her Fennekin, ‘Kindle’, closer, heading towards the hallway. Mairin watched her go, refusing to turn around until she heard a bedroom door creaking open, then closing. She took in a deep breath– then turned to face Alain.
   He hadn’t moved an inch since she had come in, still by the door with one hand on the knob. He was staring down at his feet, but raised his gaze as she faced him. A jolt ran through her heart as she looked into those intense blue eyes, which were currently dull and emotionless. His expression matched his eyes, as if void of all desire. It wasn’t his emotionless mask he often put on when he withdrew himself though, it was more as if a cloud of sorrow was fogging his face.
   Mairin gritted her teeth, hating just how easily she could read him at times. How familiar every fidget and flicker of his gaze was.
   “Absolutely no girls anywhere near here while Faith is here– is that clear?” Mairin growled at him.
   Alain shifted guiltily. “I know what you’re thinking, but she wasn’t my–”
   “Do you think I care Alain?” Mairin snapped. “It may have taken me a few months, but I’ve moved on past you a long time ago. I don’t care what you do and who you do it with– just not near my daughter.”
   There was a flicker of hurt in his eyes, though it only lasted a moment. He opened his mouth, struggling for words. “Our daughter. Faith is our daughter.”
   “Is that so?” Mairin asked, crossing her arms. “Then why was I informed on my way here that you don’t spend anytime with her while she’s here?”
   Alain pulled back slightly. “You know I have work–”
   “On the weekends?” Mairin asked, voice cracking. “You said you didn’t work on the weekends– that’s why you wanted her then in the first place. Did you lie then, or are you lying now?”
   Alain closed his eyes, fists clenching with anger. “I don’t have control over my schedule–”
   “You work at home for Yveltal’s sake!” Mairin cried, louder than she intended. “Is it too much to ask you to spend time with your daughter? She’s going to be spending a whole week here this time– and a week here these next two months! Do you think I want her alone in this filthy apartment? She’s here to see her father– so you better make sure that happens!”
   Alain looked like he would have stepped back, but he was already up against the wall. “I try Mairin, I swear I do–”
   She gritted her teeth. “Then try harder– because if she’s not going to spend time with her dad then I don’t want her in this part of town,” She raised her gaze. “I’m not afraid to try to take full custody, Alain, and you know I’d win in court. If you want Faith to stay in your life then you better earn that right and show that you care.”
   Mairin hated this– playing the bad guy– but it was the only way to get Alain to do anything. He paid no heed to her begging or sorrows, only the harsh words and threats that came from her. She didn’t want to do things this way, but if it meant things would be better for her little Faith then she would.
   Alain’s eyes widened. “You wouldn’t do that.”
   Mairin took in a deep breath. “I would if it’s best for Faith,” She said, forcing to keep her voice cold. “So if I come by to pick her up at the end of this week, and I hear that you’ve just been cowering away in your office all day things are going to change, Alain. Play with her. Spend time with her. Take her somewhere– be her father!”
   His eyes flashed. “Do you think I’d take her out and about in this part of town?”
   “You have a car,” Mairin snapped back. “And you’re the one that decided to live here.”
   He opened his mouth to argue some more, but the sound of Faith’s bedroom door opening made both of them stop. They knew that she could probably hear their arguments from her room anyways, but there was no need to do it in front of her. Mairin looked towards the hallway, watching as her daughter peered out at them, Kindle in her arms.
   “Daddy, can I play with Charizard?” Faith asked quietly, nervously glancing between her parents as if the fighting would start again.
   Alain flinched. “Ch-charizard... she’s not h-here right now sweetie... I’m sorry...”
   Mairin blinked– Alain never went anywhere without Charizard.
   He walked away from the door, slipping past Mairin and he approached their daughter, kneeling down. He had his palms up, as if she were a scared Pokemon about to flee. “How about we go make some lunch though? You still like grilled cheese?”
   “I like eggs and toast sandwiches,” Faith said. “And Kindle likes the toast extra burnt.”
   She held up her Fennekin doll, holding it as if it were shooting a Flamethrower into the air.
   “...You dropped her off,” Alain said as he scooped up Faith, his voice turning cold. “You can leave now.”
   Mairin hesitated– wanting to hug her daughter goodbye, but not wanting to go near Alain. He turned towards her, holding Faith close as if he realized what he was doing to her by holding their daughter. His protective arms held Faith, his bright blue eyes locked on Mairin, as if daring her to come closer. She was stiff, but forced herself to go forward, and she gave Faith a hug.
   Her arm brushed by Alain’s shoulder, but she ignored this.
   “I love you honey,” Mairin said, planting a kiss on Faith’s forehead before pulling back. “I’ll see you in a week.”
   “Bye Mommy!” Faith said as Mairin headed towards the door. “I love you!”
   “I love you more!” Mairin said with a small smile, pulling the door open.
   Faith puffed up, shifting in her father’s arms. “Well, I love you most!”
   “And I love you more than most,” Mairin replied as she headed out the door. “I’ll see you soon.”
   Neither she or Alain offered each other a farewell, and she shut the door behind her. She stood out in the hallway for a moment, realizing that her limbs her shaking.
   Just a week, then she’d have her daughter back.
   She tried to push Alain from her mind as she headed down the stairs– the hurt that appeared in his eyes, and the way he’d say nothing as if he were the victim. She gritted her teeth– it was just all a facade– this was what he wanted.
   The time consuming job, living in the worst part of town– he had chosen this life. Mairin knew that he could have gone for better options, they were there. It was his fault that he was putting these barriers between him and his daughter. If he wanted her so badly he could have done things differently, set up different arrangements, make sure the right environment was there.
   Mairin hadn’t asked for this life for her daughter– she wanted Faith to have the best situation possible.
   Alain was the one that had wanted the divorce, Alain was the one drove their family apart.
   But what hurt the most was the fact that Mairin knew that they were long past the point of ever fixing it.
-----------------------------------------
   Ring! Ring!
   Mairin glanced down at her phone in surprise as she pulled up into the driveway of her home, blinking as she saw the familiar number flickering up on screen. She quickly pulled the car into park, not bothering to pull into the garage as it open, quickly reaching for the device.
   “Faith?” Mairin asked as she picked up, a familiar girl flickering into view as she answered the call. “Is everything okay?”
   Mairin was pretty much against the idea of giving young children their own phones, but just knowing the fact that her daughter would be away from her had changed her mind for the most part. The ‘phone’ Faith had was very simple– only three numbers able to call in and out from the device. Hers, Alain’s, and the police. There was no need for her to have anything else, and it gave her a way to connect her daughter in case of an emergency.
   “Uh-huh,” Faith said, her blue-tinted form bobbing on the screen. “Daddy’s just working and I got bored. It’s okay that I called you, right?”
   “Of course honey,” Mairin said, a sigh of relief and a pang of anger rushing through her at once. “He got you lunch though, right?”
   “Yep!” A grilled cheese sandwich was waved on screen. “But Daddy said he had a lot of work to do tonight,” Faith looked down at the ground. “His office door is locked too, so I can’t get in.”
   It was about a twenty minute drive from her house to his place– he couldn’t even last twenty minutes with their daughter?
   She knew his work schedule couldn’t be this hectic– his paycheck simply wasn’t big enough for it. She knew as well, since she received two-thirds of it every month due to alimony. More than the average separated spouse would normally give– but Alain had insisted.
   He had been very giving during the separation– giving her house, car, and two-thirds of their money without second thought. He had claimed it was only fair since she was going to be the main caretaker when it came to Faith. Her lawyer had been impressed as well, especially with how insistant and willing he was with giving Mairin a decent alimony. ‘Kind’, as her lawyer had put it.
   But it had done nothing but pained Mairin– she knew that he had just been trying to make things go quickly.
   He had really wanted to have distance between them.
   “Did he say what you could do?” Mairin asked uncertainly– half of her wanting to drive straight back and pick up Faith now.
   “He says not to touch anything unless it’s in the kitchen or my room,” Faith said, almost proudly that she was remembering this. “I can only turn on the tv if I keep in on the kid’s station, and I’m not allowed to go out of the apartment without him. There’s apple juice on a lower shelf in the fridge just for me!”
   So he could take time to explain rules, but not to be with her.
   “Oh yeah, he says to be quiet too,” Faith added, biting into her sandwich. “And not to hover outside of his office door. I don’t know what he means by that though– I’m not a psychic type– I can’t hover!”
   Telling a five year old to be quiet the rest of the day? Great parenting Alain.
   “Why don’t you call me back when you’ve finished eating,” Mairin said. “And I’ll tell you a story over the phone– how does that sound?”
   Faith’s eyes lit up happily. “Will you tell me one at bedtime too?”
   “If your father’s busy,” Mairin replied, though she had a feeling he would be.
   “Yes!” Faith said happily, hastily biting into her sandwich. “I’ll call you real soon!”
   “Make sure you chew everything into tiny bites before you swallow–” Mairin added, but Faith had already hung up. She leaned back in the seat of her car, rubbing her temples.
   One day– Alain had one day to work out his schedule with Faith– and then she was calling him.
-----------------------------------------
   Mairin had ended up spending most of the day on the phone with Faith. The young girl had chattered away about how Daddy had been out of eggs for a sandwich, and how happy she was that she had remembered she packed her favorite blanket, just simple things like that. Mairin had just listened for the most part, and occasionally told her a story when requested.
   She had been hoping that Alain would interrupt them– that he’d come in to be with his daughter– but it had just been the two of them throughout the day.
   Mairin was currently in a virtual tea party with Faith and her Fennekin, and she was starting to lose her patience with Alain.
   “Would you like more sugar, Mommy?” Faith asked, holding an invisible spoon of sugar out.
   “Sure,” Mairin said, sighing. Her daughter was playing tea party with a phone– this wasn’t what a five year old needed!
   “Mommy?” Faith’s voice snapped her out of her anger. “I’m hungry.”
   Mairin hesitated. “You'll have to ask your father to get you something to eat, I'm not there honey.”
   Faith gave her an uncertain look. “Daddy says not to disturb him unless it's an emergency.”
   “Food is important Faith. Just pick up the phone and go ask him,” Mairin said, wishing that she were physically there to get her something. And to drag Alain out of his stupid office.
   Mairin’s view of the room was turned upside down as Faith picked up the phone, heading towards the door of her room. Even with a few toys scattered about it seemed to be the most organized room in the apartment.
   Faith scurried into the dark hallway, making her way to the only other room, which she assumed to be Alain's room and office. A faint light was flickering from under the door– most likely from a computer screen in a dark room. Mairin could hear the clicking of a keyboard, but nothing else.
   Mairin watched the phone screen as Faith tried to open the door, but like she had said earlier it was locked. Faith sighed, and settled for knocking. But like when she had been dropped off, there was no answer.
   “Daddy!” Faith called, knocking again. She paused for a moment, then knocked again. “Daddy are you in there?”
   “...I’m busy Faith,” At last Alain replied, voice quiet and hesitant. “I'll be out as soon as I can.”
   “But I'm hungry Daddy,” Faith whimpered.
   “I can't come out right now, I'm so sorry,” Alain replied, and Mairin was boiling with anger. “There should be some Oran berries in the fridge, have those until I can get you something.”
   “Okay Daddy...” Faith said, face falling. She turned away from the office, heading to the kitchen. The lights were off, only the sun from the small windows providing any light.
   Mairin didn't trust herself to speak, not wanting a burst of anger to rush out from her when her daughter could hear. Why had she left Faith there? She had practically left her daughter alone! Faith didn’t say anything to Mairin, simply sliding her phone up onto the counter before opening the fridge. All Mairin’s screen showed was the ceiling as she listened to Faith rummaging through the fridge.
   “Daddy doesn’t have a lot of food,” Faith commented. “And his yogurt smells kind of funny.”
   Mairin frowned. “Don’t touch that, honey.”
   “I won’t, I’m just going to eat the Oran berries,” Faith said, sliding a small plastic container next to the phone. Mairin caught a glimpse of the package of the blue berries as Faith climbed up onto a stool, before pulling both the phone and the berries towards her. Once more Mairin found herself looking at her daughter through the screen as she opened the berries, nibbling one halfheartedly.
   “Do they taste good?” Mairin asked, not wanting to leave her daughter in silence.
   “I guess,” Faith muttered. “They don’t taste as good as the ones we use to grow in our garden,” She glanced down at the screen. “Do you remember our garden Mommy? We use to grow a ton of berries in there. And carrots, and potatoes, and... other stuff. Why don’t we anymore?”
   Mairin glanced down at her hands. “We didn’t have time to plant anything this year. When I’m not at work I’m spending my time taking care of you.”
   Faith frowned. “Maybe instead of playing dolls we can plant a garden. I liked the garden– because that’s when Daddy lived in the house with us.”
   Mairin’s throat tightened. “...A garden doesn’t mean he’ll live there again.”
   Faith sighed. “I know Mommy, but I’d still like a garden again.”
   Mairin managed a smile. “Perhaps Chespie and Bébé can help us take care of it when you’re at preschool and I’m at work.”
   “Yeah!” Faith said excitedly. “And we can plant Pecha berries!”
   “We’d have to wait until next spring to plant anything, but I promise we will,” Mairin said, which made Faith beam. A wave of relief came over Mairin, glad to see the happiness back in her eyes. Just one week, and then she’d have Faith back.
   Faith paused as she heard the sound of a door opening. “Daddy?”
   “Yes sweetie?” Came Alain’s voice from the hall. Mairin turned away, able to pick up on the heaviness in his tone without even looking at him. She could picture just how Alain was looking at the moment– bags under his eyes, most likely a slight shuffle to his walk. He’d probably have a fake smile on to hide the somberness in his tone, though Mairin knew she’d always be able to see right through it.
   She closed her eyes– oh how much she wished Alain could become a stranger again. Oh how she wished her mind could forget the happy memories of him– which only pained her now. She didn’t want him to be familiar, she didn’t want know just how he’d react to every little thing. She didn’t want to know what would make him smile and laugh, she didn’t want to remember how he’d use to hold her and whisper in her ear.
   She didn’t want to miss him.
   But she did– she missed the man she had once called her husband. She missed her childhood friend that gave her his rare smiles, she missed the man that would fight any battle for her.
   “I don’t have too long,” Came Alain’s voice– clearly having not noticed her on the other end of Faith’s phone. “I was only given a short break. What would you like for dinner?”
   “Your yogurt smells funny!” Faith declared, and Mairin heard the fridge opening again.
   “...It does indeed. Hmm... seems I didn’t stock up much before you came... I’ll have to see if I can get some time to run to the store,” Alain muttered. Mairin hesitated, wondering if it’d be best to hang up now.
   “Why are you so busy Daddy?” Faith asked. “Mommy only works in the mornings when I’m at preschool, why do you have to work so much?”
   Mairin’s finger paused over the ‘end call’ button.
   She could hear Alain hesitating, and she could picture the way his bright blue eyes would flicker back and forth.
   “...I don’t have a set schedule like Mairin does,” Alain replied, chills running down her back as he said her name. “I have to get online the moment they need me, which is quite often.”
   Mairin gritted her teeth, trying to get the rouge feelings out of her.
   “Why don’t you get a new job then?” Faith asked, plopping another berry in her mouth as Alain rummaged around the kitchen, opening cupboards and drawers. “I’d like to play with you Daddy– do you remember when you and Charizard would take me and Mommy on rides through the skies?”
   “I do...” Alain whispered. “I do remember, sweetie...”
   The sound of rummaging stopped, and she could picture Alain standing still, his whole body tense as his eyes grew distance.
   “Then you should get a new job, and then we can do that again!” Faith said excitedly.
   “...I’m afraid I can’t... this is a job I need to keep...” Alain whispered, opening another cupboard.
   “Do you like it?” Faith asked, eager to keep her father in conversation. A pot clanged onto the stove, causing Mairin’s speakers to crackle.
   “...No,” Alain said quietly. “I don’t.”
   Mairin could see a frown appear on Faith’s face– who seemed to have forgotten her mother was on the line. Oran berry juice was running down her face, which she wiped right on her sleeves.
   “Then why do you do it?” Faith asked.
   There was a crackling of a package, and the sound of something being poured into a pan. Alain didn’t answer right off, most likely fishing for an answer that could be accepted by someone so young. Mairin’s finger once again hovered over the button to end her call, but she couldn’t bring herself to press it just yet.
   “Because it’s the best for you and Mairin,” Alain said softly.
   At this point Mairin couldn’t handle the call anymore, and she hung up as tears of frustration stung her eyes. She let the phone clatter to the table, running her fingers through her hair. Why did she do this to herself?! Just when she finally told herself that she could move on, these feelings were dragged back up.
   “You don’t miss Alain,” Mairin told herself in a fierce whisper. “You miss the man he once was– he’s not that person anymore.”
   She missed the Alain that would hold her on stormy nights, when the memories of Rayquaza were too fresh. She missed the Alain that would smile down on their baby girl and tell her how lucky she was to have her mother’s eyes.
   He wasn’t that person anymore.
   This was the same Alain that had stopped talking to her, that had grown distance despite her efforts. This was the same Alain that wouldn’t even look at her unless it was necessary.
   This was the same Alain that had looked her in the eye and had told her that he had no longer loved her.
   Tears pricked her eyes at the memory, how he had seemingly stopped caring overnight. Who had left her to cry alone, that had refused to even offer the comfort of why.
   Mairin picked up the phone, slipping it into her back pocket as she headed up the stairs. She didn’t need to focus on this– Faith was the only thing that mattered in her life now. The only place Alain would have in her life from here on out was being Faith’s father– and it was her job to make sure he played that role.
   Even if it meant threatening him with taking Faith away.
   No, she had no intentions of taking full custody of her– Faith needed a father figure. But if it would drive Alain to actually take time to be with her, then she’d do it. She loved Faith, and she knew that Alain did as well. Even if that bond was no longer between them, she couldn’t let that fade from her daughter.
-----------------------------------------
   Mairin found she had seven missed calls when she returned home from work the next day.
   Mondays were always rough, and no relief was added to her when she found the missed calls from Faith. She gritted her teeth– knowing that it meant that she had probably spent another day basically alone. Mairin had promised herself to give Alain a day to try to make things work– and half of it was clearly gone.
   “Mommy!” Faith cried as Mairin called her back– the phone having only rang twice before she answered. “Why didn’t you answer my calls earlier?”
   Mairin hated the pain in Faith’s voice.
   “I was at work honey, you know I’m gone in the mornings. You’re usually at preschool or daycare at this time though... I won’t be able to answer any calls in the mornings while you’re at your father’s, okay?” Mairin hesitated. “How was your day?”
   The young girl let out a dramatic sigh. “So boring!” She declared, flopping down on her bed. She held the phone up, allowing Mairin to catch a glimpse of the ruffled blankets, and her Fennekin doll laying next to the pillow. “I woke up in the middle of the night because Daddy’s phone was ringing, and it took me forever to get back to sleep! Then he was working when I woke up, and I didn’t see him until lunch time! And now he’s out shopping, and there’s nothing to do–”
   “Wait– he’s not there?!” Mairin cried, cutting her off. Him being in his office all day was one thing– leaving Faith absolutely alone though... Her fists curled.
   “Nope! He said he’d back real soon, and to stay in my room until he gets back–” Faith began.
   “Honey, I’ll call you right back,” Mairin said through gritted teeth. Faith frowned unhappily, but nodded as Mairin ended the call.
   She quickly scrolled through her contacts, a sharp anger running through her. How dare he leave Faith alone! Especially considering where he lived! She was only five for Yveltal’s sake– was it even legal for him to do that at her age?!
   She pulled up Alain’s number, knuckles turning white as she pressed ‘call’. Her phone was gripped tightly in her grasp, the phone ringing. Her anger rose as the ringing continued– he better pick up! What made him think he had the right just to–
   “...Hello?”
   His voice was quiet, which only made Mairn angrier. She glowered up at him, only to discover she was placed at a strange angle for a call. She blinked, taking in Alain’s surroundings. She had to guess his phone was in a cup holder by the angle she was at– and he was currently driving. His eyes were focused straight ahead on the road, hands firmly gripping the steering wheel.
   “Alain,” She growled, rage dripping from her tone. “Would you care to explain why Faith is alone?”
   He closed his eyes for a moment, not replying right off. He glanced over his shoulder as he changed lanes, eyes never even looking down towards her as he drove on. She couldn’t help but notice that his whole form was tense, jaw tightening like it always did when he was nervous. She fumed to herself– he should be nervous– thinking he could just leave Faith alone.
   “I had next to nothing substantial in terms of food for the next few days,” He said evenly. “And I needed to go get some if I was going to feed our daughter. You were at work, and I’d trust Faith alone before I’d trust anyone else I know around here with her, so I left her at home.”
   “Have you ever heard of taking her with you?” Mairin cried, her voice shrill. “Or perhaps preparing for the fact that you’re going to have a child at your house beforehand?!”
   “...I wasn’t just running to the store. I didn’t want her going with me to the other places– not safe for a child,” Alain said quietly, hands tightening on the steering wheel.
   “Then don’t go there!” Mairin snarled. “If Faith shouldn’t be there then neither should you!”
   His eyes flashed. “I had no choice– it was for work.”
   “Enough about your stupid work!” Mairin screamed. “Stop acting like they control your life! I’d rather you be jobless than not spending time with Faith! I don’t care about the stupid alimony or... or anything! Faith needs you Alain– she shouldn’t be alone!”
   Alain gritted his teeth, eyes flickering about. “Then maybe I’m not cut out to be a parent.”
   “Clearly not!” Mairin snarled.
   “...” He was silent for a moment, pulling to a stop at a red light. He closed his eyes, and Mairin frowned as she noticed him shaking slightly. “Well, I... I... I have been th-thinking on what you said yesterday.”
   “I said a lot of things to you yesterday,” Mairin replied. It had barely been one conversation– but it was more than usual.
   “I decided that... that you should take full custody of Faith.”
   His tone was icy cold, harsh with an unforgiving edge. But his eyes... they looked so afraid.
   Mairin blinked as he spoke, surprise momentarily driving her anger away.
   “Wh-wha–?”
   “You said it yourself– I don’t have the time to be a proper parent for her,” Alain said, eyes locked straight ahead. “It would be better for everyone if you just took full custody of her. I wouldn’t need visitation rights or anything, you’d be able to raise her as you wish.”
   “Wha– no– no!” Mairin cried, thoughts scrambling about. “I– I never said that, Alain–”
   He cut her off. “I’ve been thinking on this since last night, you won’t change my mind. After this week is over she’ll be just yours, I should already have things in process–”
   “I said no, Alain!” Mairin cried, causing him to fall silent. “I– I didn’t mean it, okay! I never truly meant to try to take Faith from your life!” Tears stung her eyes. “I just wanted you to be there for her, that’s all– please just don’t jump on– on these ideas! Maybe, m-maybe I’ve been too hard on you and–”
   “I think it’s quite clear I’m not able to be there for her,” Alain snapped. “I’ve made my decision, Mairin.”
   Mairin’s vision was blurring slightly. Those were the same words he had said to her over a year ago, when she had wanted to try to fix things between them. Marriage counseling– anything. She hadn’t known what was wrong, she had thought they had been both happy with their marriage, and she had wanted to save it. She had begged him then too not to just jump on things.
  “There’s nothing to ‘figure out’!” He had snarled then, his back turned away from her. “I’ve made my decision, Mairin. We just can’t be together anymore!”
   “Why?” She remembered the way her tears had also blurred her vision then. “Why Alain, I thought we were happy, why do you want to–”
   He had then turned to face her, blue eyes blazing. “Why Mairin? It shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. I– I don’t love you anymore!”
   She was snapped from her thoughts as Alain turned off his car.
   “N-no,” She said, mustering her courage. “I’m not going to let you drop custody. She’s your daughter!”
   “I’d rather we’d be done with this conversation,” Alain said, turning to face the window.
   “No– we’re not done!” Mairin snarled. “Maybe you can walk out on me–” She noticed his body tensing at she said this. “–But I won’t let you walk out on our daughter!”
   His whole body had gone still. “I– I didn’t–”
   “Faith needs you Alain, she wants her father,” Mairin insisted, and he flinched. “Not a man that locks himself up in his office– but the father she once knew. The one that’d play with her and take her on rides. The father that would sneak her treats when I wasn’t looking, the father that would hold her close and tuck her in at night, the father–”
   “Just shut up, Mairin!” Alain screamed.
   She recoiled, falling silent at his words.
   In all the years she had known Alain... not even during their divorce, not even when his patience had run thin when they were kids... He had only said those words in friendly teasing before– but never before had he screamed at her to shut up.
   It felt like a blow across the face, stinging and so startling that she couldn’t find another word to say.
   “I’m back at my apartment,” He said coolly. “Unless you’d like to continue this conversation in front of your daughter, then I’m going to hang up now.”
   Mairin gulped, too many emotions racing through her. “We... we’re not done with this c-conversation. We’re going to t-talk tomorrow.”
   He regarded her for a moment, before reaching down and picking up his phone. “Goodbye Mairin.”
   And with that, he hung up.
