@sockdooe, The composition of the first shot has Shiro at the forefront, but it makes sense for him to be there, because he and the Paladins are standing in Voltron formation. Shiro is the head, Pidge and Keith are the arms, and Hunk and Lance are the legs. Allura and Coran are also depicted as a significant part of the team, debatably the heart of it, despite not being components of the titular mecha.

In the second image,

they're not only not standing in Voltron formation, Keith has been pushed further forward than everyone else, specifically spotlighting him as the main/most important character, while Coran, the "boring adult", is shoved far into the background.

And, Shiro, who was in Keith's arms just seconds prior,

is nowhere to be seen. Despite the fact that he's just been brought back from the dead, so showcasing him as part of the team, again, should have been a major deal. Instead, he passes out and seemingly disappears once he's no longer the focus of the shot, as if to get him out of the way and affirm resoundingly that he's "no longer needed".

Fun fact: Imrahil of Dol Amroth is only ever described in LOTR as Denethor and Faramir's "kinsman", with no distinction ever made between how he's related to Denethor vs to Faramir. It's only later, when Faramir briefly thinks of his long-dead mother, that she is called "Finduilas of Amroth" and we can deduce that the family connection was likely between Denethor's wife and Imrahil, making him an in-law of Denethor but blood relative of Faramir. We're still not told exactly how Imrahil and Finduilas were related, though.

I always had the impression of a certain degree of tension between Imrahil and Denethor, and also of Imrahil being particularly concerned for Faramir, but his exact relationships with them are quite vague in the narrative. A lot of the names, dates, and family connections among the members of the house of Dol Amroth that we now accept as a matter of course are mainly from a separate document published in Peoples of Middle-earth that explains the most probable origin story for the house of Dol Amroth and has an attached family tree. IIRC the entire existence of Faramir and Éowyn's son Elboron is based on his inclusion in the Dol Amroth family tree in POME and he's never referenced in LOTR (and possibly not in anything else, actually?).

Tolkien definitely did imagine Imrahil and Finduilas as siblings regardless (e.g. I think he mentions it when observing that Denethor's natural beardlessness as an Elrosian Dúnadan would be reinforced in Boromir and Faramir by their additional Elvish heritage through Imrahil's sister), but he didn't actually say it in LOTR.

I do think it's important, though, because it's with this later information that Imrahil taking charge of Faramir's fallen body is conclusively revealed to not be simply a prince rescuing a vague "kinsman" of political/military importance, but specifically a man carrying his dead sister's last surviving child from a battlefield.

What would twig and Kip look like if they evolved again?

Oooh, that’s a fun question. It’s unlikely that Kip would evolve again after his big expedition and pivoting careers to something less physically intensive as a result, but I can absolutely see Twig evolving as a result of her continuing to take exploration team jobs. Honestly, it could happen pretty soon after her evolving into a charmeleon, considering how much she overworks herself at that point in her life.

If Kip were to evolve, it’d take him a humorously long amount of time for him to get used to being taller than Grovyle in particular. He’d be so used to hearing him talk as a Mudkip and having to crane his head to look at him that the habit would stick even after he evolved into a marshtomp, and it would continue into him becoming a swampert. And Kip, having been a mudkip with people much larger than he is always looming over him whenever they addressed him, would want to try to get on people’s level to speak to them in order to be as polite as possible. Which results in Kip being very flustered whenever he goofs up and Grovyle having to reassure him that he doesn’t mind.

Unfortunately for Twig, she’d be stuck with another partial evolution. She can’t really fly with such weak wings, nor does she have as much muscle or bulk as your average charizard— but she’d appreciate the height boost, even if she’s still under the range of size expected for charizards. She needed to be taller. For reasons.

while i know wwx somehow managed to invent being a passenger princess in a society without cars, i do think in a modern au he would have the most rundown car in existence. it's older than he is. he has to smack it multiple times to get the a/c to work. he lost one of the side mirrors and it was too expensive to track down a replacement so he just duct taped a hand mirror to the side of the car. the drain pipe scrapes against the ground when he goes over bumps. he has definitely lived in it at some point. it is, of course, named suibian

It's not common here at the campsite, a safe distance from the busier side of town and all the domesticity. He often gets a whiff of a squirrel or a chipmunk, the occasional fox, the scrumptious deer—Cat is new.

Gideon's head perks up and he stands to full height. That alone made for an imposing figure if you manage to ignore his big, soulful eyes and the way his brows furrowed, making him look more and more like a sad basset hound than a wolf. "Uh..." Sniff. "...Who goes there?"

I really thought I was a horror fan until I sat down to draw this and came up blank. I guess I'm not a slasher guy, because a LOT more Monsters and Beasts came to mind, so it took a while to form a list. Though I did include Sam who is certainly a Creeture but.. They're human enough.
