Andie what animal would you atribute to each of the LS characters and why?

It took way too long to make this list but here's what I came up with:

TK - this one was easy. Feral cat turned domesticated cat. Back alley scrapper with bloody knuckles to pampered prince sleeping on a silk pillow.

Carlos - A dog but ... not like a golden retriever or something that's super happy and friendly to anyone it meets. Maybe like a husky or an arctic wolf. Solitary at times, stoic, very wary of strangers and outsiders, but fiercely loyal once he finds his mate and his pack.

Owen - Also a dog but not in the same way as Carlos. Maybe more like a sheep dog or a border collie, hard working and hyper active and very dedicated to service. Always wants to help and move and have something to do.

Grace - some kind of bear. Soft and loving when she needs to be, will rip your face off when the situation calls for it. Very protective, an excellent caretaker. Loves getting into other people's business. Do bears love gossip? Idk this bear does.

Marjan - A tiger. She doesn't wear so many tigers on her shirt just for fun it's because she is one in her soul. The queen of the jungle. Regal and fierce and dangerous and mesmerizingly beautiful.

Judd - Capybara. You know how they have that reputation for being so chill that all animals feel safe/comfortable around them? That's Judd. He's protective and strong and loyal and all those things but he also just makes people feel safe with his presence.

Paul - Elephant. Strong but exceedingly gentle.

Mateo - Meerkat. Idk I'm just going with vibes on this one. Small and scrappy.

Tommy - Peacock. Idk much about the personalities of peacock but all her showy hairstyles and outfits led me there.

Nancy - Some kind of sea creature like a whale or a seal. Elegant, goofy at times, illusive. Could do tricks for frozen fish but will not, she is too cool for that.

It was their first mission without Gai as the leader, and they were now pretty far away from home– a simple scroll delivery was what they were tasked with, though the client had specifically wanted Neji to go due to having worked with him before or something like that.

As a Jounin, he pretty much ended up leading a team of two– Lee had also been hired to go with him, and it was nice. An excuse to spend more time with his partner while getting paid, though the brunet preferred to focus on arriving at their goal before goofing around with him. No matter how many times his boyfriend tried to challenge him with races or sparring, Neji wanted to get things done as quickly as possible.

If they were ahead of schedule, they would have more time to relax while still getting paid. And maybe, if his assumptions were correct, they would be able to observe foreign birds for a while. Birds he had only read about, seeing them only in tattered illustrations from his father’s old ornithology books– the southern lands had mesmerizing creatures, such as the capybara or the coati, so he wanted to see if anything interesting appeared on their way.

Lee gladly respected his wish to finish things before relaxing for a while, though he still walked on his hands most of the way to the village, carrying the needed scrolls using his backpack without any kind of trouble. Barely sweating in the process as usual, but still the brunet wanted to make sure things would go smoothly.

“Don't get too tired. We aren’t there yet,” Neji warned him, and Lee just grinned and continued walking on his palms, knowing well nothing bad could happen as long as his boyfriend was with him.

“I will be alright, my dear! You do not need to worry,” he replied, only receiving an annoyed look in response. “Training with Gai for ten minutes is more exhaustive than this!”

In the end, nobody tried to attack them in the way, so there were no delays at all; in fact, they arrived an entire day earlier than expected, and they were welcomed with open arms. The village was quiet compared to Konoha, with barely any inhabitants there albeit they were friendly with them. Neji liked that birds could be heard all over the place, the constant murmur of a crowded place completely absent there.

An idea crossed through his mind afterwards– the mission was finished, and they had some time to spare, plus their client had actually paid an extra so they could spend the night there before going back home. Tsunade wouldn’t mind it if they rested for a while away from home, from the dangers of his annoying uncle and general stress of an overcrowded settlement.

Plus, the weather was nice; there were no excuses to not stay there for a while, and Lee seemed eager to explore, judging by how his curious gaze focused on the littlest things around them. So Neji said nothing as he gently held his partner’s hand, smiling while entwining their fingers in complete silence and when the other boy left a gentle kiss on his cheek.

“It’s still early. Do you want to walk around?” he wondered, knowing well his partner wouldn't miss a chance to explore everything by his side, enjoying his presence and the fact they didn't have anything to do for a while.

“Of course! I saw a small park around, maybe we could see an interesting animal there,” Lee suggested with a smile while pointing towards the mentioned place, obtaining a curious look from the brunet. “It is very quiet, so I think they will not be scared of us.”

That was true; being such a small village, there were at most fifty people, who didn't seem too interested in bothering creatures who dared come close to their homes. Neji could even see some small deer walking around unmarked paths, eating grass or even fruit some people left around in beautiful bowls just for them.

It was nice to see such peace, and being able to enjoy it beside the person he loved the most made the Hyuga feel some kind of warmth on his chest. Lee lead the way and found a spot just for them beside a tree, so the sun wouldn't be a problem at all– Neji rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder once they sat down, observing him for a moment before focusing on the vegetation, trying to distinguish a bird or something like that between countless leaves. Looking for… something apart from plants and scattered twigs. 

“Why are you not using the Byakugan, love? I thought it was easier that way,” the other boy wondered while tilting his head to the side in confusion, not moving so as to avoid bothering his boyfriend.

“It would. But I'd only see their chakra and not the animals themselves,” Neji began to say, noticing that his partner seemed interested in his explanation. So he went on. “With the Byakugan, I can tell where everything is– but now how things are, their color or their sounds. I'd see the birds, but I wouldn't see what makes them unique or even hear them.”

He had explained it many times, though Lee always liked to ask about even the smallest things with a ceaseless hunger to know more, even if Neji knew his interests could be a bit boring sometimes. Nonetheless his boyfriend seemed to enjoy listening to his words, always asking for clarifications if something was confusing him or if any other question appeared in the way, smiling at the brunet as he replied in a soft voice.

Even if they ended up not finding any cool animal, their small vacation made Neji relax– the best part was cuddling with Lee that night, not caring about anything but his warm embrace at least for a couple of hours, away from everything in such a quiet place.

It was nice. Perhaps they could visit again if they arranged their days off properly… he liked the village and the natural silence of a sparsely inhabited place.

Quon Kimidori and Jin Aizawa!

Ah, the s1 snek boys. The Viper Who Flies In The Sky and The Viper Who Crawls On The Ground. Only one of them has pointy teeth and neither of them has Actual Classic Snake Fangs, somehow. They both like to wander around aimlessly and somewhat recklessly and manage to not die. They are both Supremely Chill by default. Would have been cool to see them interact with eachother even one single time onscreen, I think they've got pretty sympatico personalities. These guys would like, casually get along with eachother just fine.

If Quon were to spot Jin just staggering around in the park one day, I think he would notice and think "Hm. That guy's Not Right. Sir are you okay over there" and like, do something. Approach the Potential Drunk Hobo and ask if he perhaps requires any assistance. And Jin would babble delirious nonsense at him and pass out on the nearest available surface, which is probably the ground. Quon would promptly freak the fuck out with a perfectly blank expression on his face, fold up his jacket and put it under the Possibly ODing Guy's head, and then call Xhaka for advice instead of emergency services in a moment of panicky brainfart. Xhaka advises Quon to put the dying guy on a bench instead of the ground because the ground has ants, so that is what Quon does. <5 minutes later, Jin wakes up, sits up, and right about then Quon finally blinks and says "...An ambulance. I should have called an ambulance. Xhaka is not an ambulance." and Jin is like "wtf who's dying holy shit" and confusion ensues and Jin laughs it off and completely casually explains that "Oh lol nah I'm totally fine, I just take Accidental Naps at inopportune moments multiple times a day because the ghosts in my brain don't let me sleep like a normal person. It's okay because they protect me and do not let me get mugged or eaten by ants while I am unconscious. Sorry for drooling on your jacket btw."

Quon says "...Okay. nbd." and takes the crazy person's psychobabble with a grain of salt because what else are you supposed to say to that.

Hyperspecific comedic scenario aside, I do think Quon would in fact be alarmed by Jin at first because Holy Shit Clearly This Dude Is Fucking Dying, Uhh Shit What Do I Do, because you KNOW he is gonna see a Narcolepsy Attack happen because those happen so often, and then he would just...not try to question it when Jin is awake enough again to explain what's actually wrong with him and Why You Should Totally Not Worry About Him Because He's Fine And His Ghost Friends Make Sure Of That, because okay even if this person is not actually dying, or THINKS he's not dying, he is clearly insane or at least temporarily still delirious. I also think Quon would stick around and just Casually Loiter nearby for awhile, just to observe Jin a little longer to make 100% sure the dude is not still gonna keel over dead any minute now even though he insists he doesn't want him to call for medical aid.

And I think they would just, like...casually hang out and chat. Quon would do some Skateboard Tricks and Jin would be both Impressed And Alarmed because damn dude that seems dangerous, you go up So High, isn't that A Little Bit Scary [says the guy who sees nothing wrong with falling flat on his face unconscious in a ditch], Quon says nah, Quon asks Jin if having ghosts in his brain and randomly passing out on the floor is A Little Bit Scary, Jin says nah, and they just chill and talk about skateboarding and hallucinating while Jin proves he is Definitely Not On The Brink Of Death Here. I think, most importantly, that in spite of being pretty sure that Jin is just A Bit Psychotic and the shadows at the edge of his vision probably aren't suddenly ACTUALLY moving weirdly now, haha, Quon would have the tact to not try to insist to Jin that the Ghost Friends aren't real. Or to appear outwardly skeptical at all, because his expression is so static and his voice is so flat. And he obviously wouldn't make fun of Jin or be all judgmental anything. He'd just listen attentively while Jin tells him about his 323 Guardian Ghost Buddies, and would just nod and say things like "Hm. Woah, sounds intense." and lament on how "Man, Life Sure Does Get Unpredictable Sometimes, Doesn't It. Life Is Weird, Bro. Crazy How Shit Happens. Hey, you want something from the vending machine over there? I'm gonna go get a soda." etc., and they'd both leave the encounter with solid respect for eachother and a newfound Snake Bro Bond. They're both just so fucking chill and Generally Unshakeable and Casually Fearless lmfao.

I'm really curious on what Nacho's relationships with the other saints are like, other than Troy ofc

Sure! I really go into it in the fic, since that’s…the bulk of the story, really, but I can give a bit of a quick rundown without spoiling too much:

SR1Julius: He deeply respects and admires Julius. His words resonated with him and he believes in his ideology and his vision. Nacho isn’t from the Row either, but it doesn’t matter. He was homeless at the beginning of the game, but after helping Julius and Troy push back against the invading gangs in the Row, he feels as though it’s his home now, especially since he did his part to keep it safe. He very much wants Julius’ approval, and looks up to him. Julius is soft-spoken for the most part, but stern; this is the attitude that commands Nacho’s respect, just based on his personality. (He liked Ben King too.)

Johnny: He has respect for Johnny, but they are opposites. Johnny’s boisterous where he’s reserved, loud where he’s quiet, proud where he’s humble. It is easy for Nacho to take a backseat around Johnny, simply because he powers his way through a situation, but Nacho inherently strives for best-case scenario results. They are friends, and he considers them friends, but at arm’s length. There is a lot of selectivity to his words in SR2, and behavior, and I feel as though Nacho is pressured to maintain a certain macho, hardass presence around Johnny. One that he lets down around Pierce and Shaundi. If he can help it, he doesn’t like to involve Johnny, or bother him. He’s overly courteous around Aisha’s home, and asks during the Ronin mission “you sure it’s ok I come by?” to double-check. That implies a carefulness with his manners. (Manners are really beat into Nacho’s head and demeanor like you wouldn’t believe.) Johnny’s a bit of a headache to deal with sometimes, for Nacho–a “diva,” lol.

(Nacho’s mind is still stuck in the time of when the accident happened, but Johnny’s had five years of experiences—he’s changed a lot. Nacho just feels he’s moved on, rightfully so, and that he should let him be. )

(Aisha, by extension,) He never really got to know Aisha out of courtesy. He is cordial with her and on good terms, but he doesn’t really know her very well. He keeps a thoughtful distance. Whenever Johnny and Aisha ask him for relationship advice in SR1 and comments in SR2, it’s funny that he’s silent to me. Because when Toby asks regarding Laura, he’s got suggestions and commentary. So, he tries to stay out of their personal lives. He doesn’t “fit in” very well with their lifestyle, attitude, etc.

Dex: He liked Dex at first, because Dex is touchy (shoulder pats, bumping elbows, etc,) and says all the right things. He’s friendly! And funny, and Nacho is a bit naive and quite the social creature, when you get past his shyness. He took that as genuine, but it didn’t take him long to see the attitude Dex had against Troy, seeing that he’s got a petty side to him. For him to be so friendly, calculating, and really good at hyping up the glory of battle, that sudden shift in attitude bothered him. He also didn’t appreciate Dex ducking behind him when Lopez went to shoot him in the mansion. But, being naive still, he didn’t hold it against him, until SR2 when he realized what Dex was up to. It makes him feel used, and like an idiot, therefore inciting his vengeful streak.

Troy: Duh, he can’t stand him, obviously. With his stupid hair and stupid cheekbones.

Lin: He really, really liked Lin. I feel like if she had more time, they could’ve been great friends. He looked up to her, she was really cool-headed, well rounded, humble, sarcastic, a generally chill person. Nacho is relaxed around people like that. She also liked cars, and he likes cars, so naturally they’d get along. I feel like the reason he spares Donny so much in SR2 is because he knows Lin wouldn’t have wanted him to kill him. He tries so hard to sound threatening, but it’s like, you just know he’s not going to kill him–no matter how many times he threatens it. Lin’s death hits him very hard.

SR2Pierce: I feel like once, Pierce must’ve made an slight, know-it-all comment to him, or gave him some kind of harmless criticism, and Nacho never let him feel *too* smart ever again. It initiated a subtle war of picking and teasing. Nacho really likes Pierce and appreciates his insight, his ideas, his planning–even if it goes over his head sometimes. He knows that he’s passionate, devoted, and enterprising, and they’re all qualities he needs around to kick him in the ass. But, he can’t let Pierce go around thinking he’s doing too good of a job, not only because Nacho has a core fundamental principle of humility, but also because it’s fun to mess with Pierce. They don’t…hang out? I guess? But he definitely considers him a friend.

Shaundi: Shaundi is like the capybara of the Saints, okay. Everyone likes her, everyone’s relaxed by her, and Nacho is no exception. He really likes Shaundi and she is a dear friend. They both have the same mentality about social events, about partying, about having a good time. I feel like the two of them could kick back and chill out for a long time. However, Shaundi is a bit more laid-back in the fun department than Nacho is, however, recruiting her by going stunt-jumping probably sealed the deal on their friendship. They get on really well and she never ceases to startle him.

Carlos: Carlos was like a brother to him, enough said. He meant a lot to him and losing him was devastating. I go into it in the fic.

Other Characters: He’s friends with Toby, Laura, The Wheel Woman (Brianna, I named her,) Wong, and Luz as well. Nacho’s a (shy,) social butterfly! He does like to be out and about around people. The ISFP personality type rundown summed it up best.

Emi learns and forgets very quickly. Once she learned a whole language in one night to impress Rune, however she forgot all of it the next day

Mimi is a little chubby cinnamon roll who is a little clumsy and air-headed. Unlike carefree Emi, she is aware she is flawed and is self-conscious of it.

Imani is easily frustrated and thinks she's worthless...

Colorine is a meme machine, always saying randomness, jokingly flirting in the most hilarious way possible.

Vivi's dream is to make everyone in the entire world smile at least once.

Maia crushes Vivi's dream when she first meets her, as she refuses to smile for her, and tells Vivi that she couldn't possibly make billions of people smile. However, in the end Maia becomes Vivi's friend, and smiles at her, saying "You're one step closer to your dream now."

Colorine denies ever crying or being emotional. Even though she cries sometimes.

Mimi's nickname is "Meme"

Haneul acts like a puppy, he's just so friendly and funny. Unfortunately he is also the butt of jokes sometimes.

Addison is a gentle giant who doesn't know his own strength. He once picked up a tiger because he mistook it for a giant cat.

Rune knows many languages, often gets them mixed up. Makes bad language puns.

Chiffon is like a walking encyclopedia.

Lumina becomes a different person when she's hungry. She becomes food-obsessed and tends to rage

Vivi gets depressed and frustrated when her joke doesn't make someone laugh.

Vivi can be dramatic when she begs and pleads for people to just laugh at her. She even goes at lengths to embarrass herself just to make people laugh. She even makes a song about it.

Lunette has chuunibyou and wants to be a scary witch

Lunette can cook foods with strange ingredients and a cauldron. Example, a strawberry ice pop made with toilet paper, that doesn't actually have toilet paper in it at all.

Hazel attracts flocks of rabbits to him

Atsu puts pepper on everything.

Fia puts hot sauce on everything

Aya is the salt queen. She puts salt on everything.

Luana's ravenous appetite

Sumi is so stoic, Maia is afraid of her. Meanwhile, Sumi really likes Maia and wants to become friends with her...

Rona's verbose way of speaking and unflappable demeanor. People are always trying to get her to show emotion or to embarrass her. In fact, Rona gets embarrassed very easily.

Rona's somewhat frightening stoic gaze that "distorts the wire around her"

Rona is very ticklish. This is her weakness and is one of the easiest ways to get her to laugh.

Huey is often mysteriously covered in paint blotches
