You would hit BELIEVE how happy I am that you’re writing fics for Declan O’Hara he’s my new DILF obsession!!! Also it was so well-written and in-character, oh my goodness!
I was wondering if I could request a fic where Declan and female!reader are having an affair, and she’s super nervous because she’s Taggie’s best friend. She meets Declan one night in his car, and he calms her down and, obviously, they have car sex.
Ending this with a huge I LOVE YOUR WORK
Shut Up and Drive.
It’s a funny thing, isn’t it? The one person who riles you up the most is also the only person that can calm you down.

masterlist. inbox.
The phone is shaking in your trembling hand, cord all tangled where you keep twisting it around your finger nervously.
“Hello?”
You almost drop the receiver at the sound of that familiar Irish accent, despite the fact that you were the one that rang him. It has your stomach churning, in a different way than usual.
“H-hi,” you barely whisper, before clearing your throat and trying again. “Hi. It’s me.”
“Hi, sweetheart,” he breathes, as if it’s the first time he’s taken a lungful of air all day.
“I, um… I’m sorry to call you on the house phone. I know it’s not how we do things usually.”
“It’s alright. What’s the matter? Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay. I just, uh… I called to say that I can’t do this anymore.”
“Sweetheart-”
“I would have told you in person, but I didn’t know when I was going to see you next, so.”
“Can we-” he begins, before lowering his voice so as not to be overheard, “-can we talk about this properly? Please?”
“We can’t. I can’t. We shouldn’t.”
“Sweetheart, I’m beggin’ ya. One conversation. You’re not ending this in a quick phone call on a Wednesday night, you hear me?”
You inhale deeply, biting at your lips. There’s pure anxiety radiating through your body, prickly and unrelenting.
“I hear you,” you murmur down the receiver. “Okay.”
“Okay,” he sighs in relief. “I’m gonna come and get ya - we’ll go for a drive, alright?”
“Sorry you have to lie,” you whisper, guilt colouring your tone.
“I’d lie for you a thousand times over.”
His words shouldn’t make you feel as giddy as they do, but alas. Here you are.
“I’ll put some shoes on.”
“And a coat. It’s cold as fuck tonight.”
You half laugh, half snort at him down the phone, dreamily imagining the grin he most likely has painted on his face listening to you.
“Yes sir,” you tease, giggling. “I’ll see you soon.”
“I’ll drive up without my headlights on. Look out for me, yeah?”
“I will.”
I always do, you think to yourself. I always do.
The line goes dead abruptly, the buzzing vibrating straight into your temples. You slip your shoes on, quickly fixing your hair and touching up your makeup in the mirror in the hallway while you’re there. You shrug your arms into your coat at Declan’s orders, knowing he’d tell you off if you turned up without it on.
You’ve almost forgotten the entire reason you called in the first place was to break things off with him.
Almost.
✵ ✵ · ✵ * · ✵
True to his word, Declan drives up your road without his headlights on, slowly and with practised precision.
You’re waiting at the window for him, patiently anticipating the sight of that stupid yellow car. You’re out of the door in seconds as soon as you see him, bounding towards the passenger side and slipping in before anyone notices. He drives off quickly, not taking any time to say hello before he’s taking off out of the town and towards the rolling countryside.
You drive for a good fifteen minutes, to a spot the two of you frequent on your drives. It’s a dirt track, leading to nothing but fields for miles on end. Declan pulls the car around the bend and out of sight from the busier road, knowing that it has more than enough privacy. You’ve never been caught here before, and you don’t plan to start.
Finally turning off the engine, he turns to face you, taking in how the moonlight illuminates your features in the lowlight of the car.
“Hi, sweetheart.”
“Hi.”
You’re refusing to look at him, knowing that if you do, you’ll surge over and kiss him until you’re both dizzy. You can feel his gaze on you, though, intense and unwavering. As it always is.
His thumb and pointer finger hook under your chin, forcing you to stare straight into his determined brown eyes. You’re willing yourself not to crumble, but you can feel your resolve starting to slip already.
“I missed you,” he whispers, careful not to spook you.
“I missed you too,” you say before you can stop yourself. “Shit.”
He chuckles, and the low timbre of it settles right in the pit of your stomach.
“What’s all this about then, hmm? The phone call?”
“What did you tell Taggie? Where did you say you were going?”
It’s your least favourite part about all of this, the lying. Lying to Taggie, to Patrick, to Caitlin, to Rupert, to your friends, to your family. Coming up with excuses has become second nature - something you hate about yourself now. You hate how it comes so naturally to both of you these days.
“Told her I was going to meet someone about some potential research for a show. She had evening plans anyway, she’s off out to Lizzie’s.”
You’re fiddling with your fingers, picking at your nails in a nervous habit as you chew your bottom lip. If anxiety was personified, it’d be you.
“You avoided my question. We need to talk about what you said on the phone, sweetheart.”
Taking a deep breath, you turn in your seat to face him properly, going over the speech you’ve practised in your head dozens of times.
“Okay. I’m… I’m not sure we should do this anymore. I- I just… I feel guilty. For lying to Taggie, mainly. And because you’re technically still married, but mainly for lying to Tag. She’s the closest friend I have, and I’m sleeping with her father. It makes me a terrible person, Declan. I have to put a stop to it.”
He processes your words for a moment, looking at you intently.
“Do ya want to?”
“Hmm?”
“Do you want to? Put a stop to things? Or do you just feel like you should? For other people.”
You want to lie, tell him exactly what you had planned out, feed him what you know will work. But you can’t. You can lie to everyone… except Declan.
“I don’t want to,” you whisper. “But I should. We should.”
“Why now? Did something happen? Did someone say something?”
“No, no. I just… Taggie said something really sweet the other day about how she was glad that she had me, because making friends here hasn’t been easy for her. And it should have made me happy, and instead, it broke my heart.”
“Oh, sweetheart.”
Declan cradles your face in his rough hands, resting his forehead against yours. It’s like the whole world melts away for a moment, leaving just the two of you in the tiny yellow car.
“I’m a horrible person,” you mumble. “And a horrible friend.”
“You’re speaking as if it’s just you. And it’s not, you know. There’s two of us in this affair - I’m just as guilty as you are.”
“Fine then. We’re both horrible people.”
He chuckles, breath tickling your face, and you can’t help the giggle that escapes you. His lips are brushing yours every time he speaks, meaning you can practically taste the cigarette smoke and spearmint on his tongue.
“I never claimed otherwise,” he retorts, still smiling.
“I don’t know what to do,” you admit as his thumbs sweep back and forth across your cheekbones. “It’s weighing down my conscience, and I don’t want to hurt Tag. But… I can’t give you up, Declan. I need you. I need you more than anything.”
“You make me crazy. God, I think about you night and day, sweetheart. My thoughts revolve around if I’ve seen you and when I’m going to see you next.”
“So what do we do? I can’t quit this. I can’t quit you, I can’t quit us. I couldn’t even if I wanted to.”
“I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know. I wish I had the answers… I wish I could make all your worries go away. But I can’t.”
“I don’t expect you to. I just… I thought that I could do it in one clean sweep. Get it out the way, you know? Call you, end things, be done. And then the minute I heard your voice over the phone… I knew I couldn’t do it. Because deep down, I didn’t want to.”
He leans in to press a lingering kiss to your forehead, desperate to be close to you.
“Declan.”
“If I could fix it all for you, I would,” he murmurs against your skin. “You know I would.”
You pull back to put some distance in between you, watching him carefully for his reaction to what you say next.
“You should break things off.”
He flinches as if you’ve punched him in the stomach.
“What?”
“You should. I clearly can’t, so you have to be the one to do it. Do it, Declan. End things with me right here, right now. Please.”
Your tone is weak and unconvincing, as if you can’t even bring yourself to say the words with any conviction.
“I can’t,” he confesses, voice breaking on the last word. “I can’t do it.”
“Why?”
“Because.”
He takes a deep, shuddering breath, exhaling it slowly as if he’s buying himself some time. You wait patiently for him to continue, nerves frayed at the edges.
“Because I love you.”
Now it’s your turn to flinch, his admission smacking you across the face violently.
“You-”
“Yes. I love you, sweetheart. It’s taken me a while to figure all of this out, but I know it now. That’s why I’ve never been able to end this. Because it’s not just incredible sex… it’s something more. Something real.”
There are tears welling in your eyes as you look at him, watching the way he lays his heart on his sleeve in the moonlight just for you.
“I’m scared,” you confess. “I love you too and it scares me.”
You don’t miss the way his face lights up as you say it, but he’s trying to keep a careful lid on his emotions for now.
“I’m not going to let anything bad happen to ya. You know that.”
All you can do is nod in response, digesting everything that has happened in the last five minutes. You do know that. He’s proven time and time again that you’re not just some fleeting fling to him.
“Declan?”
“Hmm?”
“I love you.”
Now he grins like an idiot, eyes alive with adrenaline and hope.
“That’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever heard ya say.”
You tuck some hair behind his ear before leaning in to gently press your lips to his, wanting to seal the moment. He kisses you back sweetly at first, before taking control with more force, slipping his tongue into your mouth cheekily. You happily let him take the lead, sighing in contentment as you melt into him.
“C’mere.”
Climbing over onto his lap, you hinge your legs on either side of his in the drivers seat, straddling his hips. You try to straighten up but end up hitting your head on the roof of the car, which makes you both wheeze with laughter.
“This car is too fucking small,” you grumble, rubbing the spot that you smacked.
“Y’alright? Want me to kiss it better?”
You hate the way the teasing tone in his voice shoots right to your core, shaking your head in defiance.
“Fuck off,” you mumble, leaning your head on his shoulder. “Patronising bastard.”
“I like it when you get your claws out,” he chuckles, tracing patterns on your thighs over your jeans. “S’hot.”
You kiss him again to shut him up, biting at his bottom lip in punishment. He groans all low and slow, which makes you grind your hips into his, despite the multiple layers of clothing separating you.
“Backseat,” he whispers, pushing you off of him gently. “More room.”
You splay yourself across the wide back seat, opening your legs so Declan can slot in between them.
“You’ve got too many clothes on,” he prompts as he shrugs off his own jacket and undoes his belt.
You can’t help but chuckle at his impatience, happily taking off your coat and jumper and unbuttoning your jeans. Your breath catches in your throat when you look back up at him - he’s wearing the Venturer t shirt that hugs his biceps just right, accentuating every delicious muscle he has to offer you.
“Wore it for you,” he mutters against your lips. “Know you like me in a t shirt.”
You roll your eyes but kiss him with determination anyway, all teeth and tongue and clashing bodies. You’re clawing at his clothed shoulders, wrapping your legs around his waist to buck your hips into his.
“I’ve been thinking about this,” he mumbles into the skin of your neck, pressing kisses wherever he can reach. “Lying awake at night thinking about your thighs, your tits, your cunt.”
All you can do is sigh, fingers digging into his biceps in desperation.
“Wish I could take my time with you like you deserve. These quick fucks just aren’t the same.”
He sounds almost upset about it, voice staying deep and low.
“Remember that time I stayed the night? And you couldn’t walk in the morning?”
You laugh breathily, thinking back fondly to that night a few months ago. You’d both orchestrated it so carefully, crafting cautious lies and fabricated stories to snatch a good sixteen hours of time together.
“Need that again soon. Might have to start sneaking ya into my house in the dark, make you climb the gutters like we’re in a film. Although, it is a bit hard to keep you quiet.”
You try valiantly to ignore the heat that flushes across your chest as he teases you, knowing that he’s right.
“Declan?”
“Yeah, baby?”
You grab his hand and shove it down your underwear, jeans trapped around your thighs. There’s very minimal room in this tiny car, but you’re both determined to make it work. He groans when he feels how wet you are, swiping through your core.
“Fuck me. Have you been like this the entire time?”
“Since this afternoon,” you whimper, trying to grind down onto his fingers. “Couldn’t stop thinking about when you ate me out on my kitchen worktop last week. My legs were shaking for two days afterwards.”
“Fuck,” he breathes, slipping a finger into you as he drops his head onto your shoulder. “I got myself off thinking about that yesterday. I swear if I concentrate, I can still taste you on my tongue.”
All you can do is whimper, desperate to have him in any way you can. The fact that you have the same effect on him that he does on you makes your head spin, dizzy with want.
“Don’t make me wait,” you beg, cradling his face so he has to look you in the eye. “Fuck me, please. Please, Declan.”
“Okay, pretty girl. I’ll give ya anything you want. Anything.”
He shuffles around so he’s sat back on his knees, pushing his jeans and underwear down just enough to free himself. You spread your legs as wide as you can, trying to give him as much room as possible. It’s not the first time you’ve found yourself in this position in this car with him - and it won’t be the last.
“So beautiful,” he murmurs as he leans down to kiss you, licking across your teeth with his tongue. “Most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen.”
He slides into you with ease, both of you gasping at the familiar sensation. Your nails are digging into his shoulders as he holds your hips in a bruising grip, pads of his fingertips biting into your flesh.
Declan doesn’t waste any time, setting a relentless pace that has you bouncing across the seat. The car is shaking like crazy, all the windows fogged up - anyone who passes will know exactly what’s happening inside.
The man above you can read you like a book and play you like a fiddle. He knows the exact angles of his hips that’ll have you keening, the certain spots to focus on that’ll have you seeing stars. He knows you better than anyone, in more ways than one.
“That’s it,” he soothes, pressing a kiss to your sweaty forehead. “Atta girl. Taking it like you were made for me.”
“Maybe I was,” you breathe, tipping your head back to give him access to your neck. “Just for you.”
He groans all melted and golden like molten honey, the vibrato of it rumbling through your bones. You’re holding onto him for dear life, as if he’s the only thing tethering you to this reality. When his thumb finds your clit to rub firm, slow circles, you’re convinced you’re floating on another plane of existence.
The only word you can seem to formulate is Declan, which only pushes him closer to the finish line. He’s determined to get you there first, angling his hips upward to hit that one spot that has you gasping. When he moves one hand to your throat and gently squeezes, you fall apart instantly, taking him with you.
“I love you,” he breathes as he comes, forehead resting on yours. “My girl.”
You’re shuddering and shaking as you lie underneath him, panting like you’ve just ran ten miles. Declan collapses on top of you, laying his head on your chest comfortably. Your fingers rake through his hair, fingernails scratching at his scalp like you’ve done so many times before.
You both allow yourselves to close your eyes for a minute, recovering and attempting to catch your breath. You’re convinced, for a moment, that you’ll never feel more peaceful than you do right now. You breathe each other in, satiated and content.
You finally open your eyes, expecting to see nothing but fogged windows and starlit darkness. Instead, you see a man bending down, looking straight at you. Arguably the worst possible person that could see the two of you in the position you’re in.
Rupert Campbell Black.
He’s grinning like an idiot, shaking his head in disbelief.
You’re about to warn the man in your arms when Rupert opens the car door, slipping himself into the drivers seat and spinning so he’s facing you. Declan has jumped out of his skin, jolting upwards to cover you as best he can.
Rupert smirks all dirty and knowing, eyes dancing over your half naked forms.
“Well, well, well. Secrets out, lovers.”

march 21, 2014
The cursor blinked at me, expectant. Judging.
Her name sat on the tip of my tongue. Not the one she introduced herself with, not the nickname she had tossed at me under the swing set like it was armor. Her real name. The one she’d trusted me with just days before everything shattered.
I hovered over the keyboard. How many times had I visited this account in the past two months? More than I could count. The anonymity she clung to should have been enough to keep me from connecting the dots. But the username—UnicornPuppy35—was a clue I couldn’t ignore, not after that rainy night, not after the slippers and the shirt that practically screamed it.
Azzi.
The realization should have made me stop, made me put down my phone and walk away. She didn’t know it was me. She didn’t know I was the one lurking, soaking up every word she wrote, piecing together her sadness, her anger, her loneliness. And she couldn’t find out—not like this.
If she did… God, if she ever found out, I wasn’t sure what would happen. She’d hate me more than she already did, and I couldn’t stand to see that look on her face again.
I leaned back in my chair, running a hand over my face. The memory of her tears still burned, sharp as glass.
flashback ⤑ february 13, 2013
The rain came down hard that night, the kind of downpour that soaked through your skin and left you raw.
I didn’t know why I left the house. Maybe it was the yelling, or maybe it was the silence that followed. Either way, I ended up at the park. The swings creaked under the weight of the wind, and the only other person there was huddled on one, head bowed as rain dripped from her curls and onto her bright pink unicorn shirt.
I almost walked away. She looked like she wanted to be alone, and honestly, so did I. But something stopped me—a tilt of her head, maybe, or the way her shoulders shuddered even as she sat still.
“Hey,” I said, stepping closer. The ground squelched under my shoes.
She looked up, startled. Her eyes, wide and brown, met my baby blues for half a second before darting away. “What do you want?”
I hesitated, shrugging. “Nothing. Just… didn’t think anyone else would be out here.”
Her laugh was bitter, like she didn’t believe me. She didn’t say anything else, just looked back down at her feet, the tips of her sneakers brushing the muddy ground.
I should’ve walked away. Instead, I sat on the swing next to her.
Over the next two weeks, those nights at the park became a ritual. When the lights in our houses went out, we met under the cover of darkness, sharing pieces of ourselves with kind of fully unraveling almost everything.
She told me about the girl at school—the one who dunked her head in the toilet and called her the f-slur. Her voice cracked when she said it, and my chest ached with something I didn’t quite understand.
“She’s just a bitch,” I said, reaching out without thinking. My hand landed on her shoulder, the fabric of her hoodie rough and wet under my palm. “You didn’t deserve that.”
She didn’t pull away, but she didn’t look at me either. “It’s not just her,” she muttered. “It’s… everyone.”
The night Azzi told me about the girl at school, something in her broke. Her voice cracked, a sharp edge slicing through the usual monotone she used when talking about her day.
“I didn’t even do anything,” she said, hugging her knees to her chest. Her breath came out in shivers, her curls dripping rainwater down her back. “She just—she said I was looking at her skirt, and the next thing I know, I’m—”
Her voice wavered, and she stopped. She didn’t have to finish. I could picture it: the cold porcelain, the laughter, the humiliation.
“She has to be insecure or something,” I said quickly, fumbling for the right words. “You didn’t do anything wrong, Azzi. She’s just taking her misery out on you.”
Azzi didn’t look convinced. Her lip trembled, and she pressed her face into her knees, hiding the tears I knew were falling.
I sat there, helpless. I wasn’t good at this—comforting people, saying the right thing. But I didn’t want her to feel alone.
“You wanna egg her house?” I joked, my voice soft. “Or, I don’t know, slash her parents tires?”
She huffed a wet laugh, the sound muffled by her hoodie. “She’d probably call the cops.”
“She’s a snitch, too?” I gasped dramatically, hoping to coax another laugh out of her. “That’s it. We’re definitely egging her house.”
Azzi peeked up at me, her eyes red and puffy but lighter somehow. “You’re stupid,” she said, but there was a ghost of a smile on her face.
——-
A few nights later, that’s when things fell apart.
I was at the park first, waiting for Azzi, when a group of girls from my neighborhood showed up. I didn’t know them well, but they were loud and funny in that kind of way that made you want to laugh along just to fit in.
We were sitting on the picnic table, their chatter filling the silence, when one of them asked, “Hey, Paige, why do you always hang out with that girl?”
I blinked, caught off guard. “Who?”
“You know, that Azzi girl,” she said, wrinkling her nose. “Nobody hangs out with her.”
My stomach twisted. “Why not?”
The girl snorted. “Her mom’s, like, weird. Always with a new boyfriend or whatever. It’s embarrassing. She’s just a weirdo and looks weird.”
My jaw tightened. Before I could respond, another girl chimed in, laughing. “And her hair! It’s like, doesn’t she know what a brush is?”
The table erupted in laughter, but I couldn’t bring myself to join in. I glanced at the path leading to the swings, my heart sinking.
“Paige,” a voice said behind me.
I froze.
Azzi stood there, her face pale and her eyes glassy with unshed tears. Her mouth opened, then closed, and she shook her head, stepping back as if I’d physically struck her.
“Azzi, wait—” I started, scrambling off the table, but she was already turning away.
“Don’t,” she said quietly, her voice trembling. “Just… don’t.”
I ran after her, catching her arm as she reached the edge of the park. “Azzi, I wasn’t—”
“Wasn’t what?” she snapped, whirling around. Her eyes were brimming with tears, her voice rising in anger. “Wasn’t laughing at me? Wasn’t sitting there while they trashed me?”
“I didn’t say anything!” I protested, my chest tight.
“That’s the problem!” she shouted, her voice breaking. “You just sat there, Paige. You didn’t even try to stop them, you let them say those things.”
I opened my mouth to argue, but the words stuck in my throat.
“Forget it,” she muttered, yanking her arm free. She wiped at her face angrily, her curls sticking to her cheeks. “I should’ve known better.”
“Azzi, come on,” I pleaded, my voice softer now. “It’s not like that—”
“What’s it like, then?” she asked, her eyes narrowing. “Because from where I’m standing, it’s pretty clear. I just don’t understand after all those nights I cried to you P.. how could you?”
She didn’t wait for an answer. By the time I found the words, she was already gone.
present day 2014
It’s been weeks since Azzi and I started talking online, just the two of us, anonymously. We’ve gotten comfortable—well, as comfortable as we can with the fake names and hidden identities. I try not to think about the lies I’m keeping from her, but I know deep down it’s the only way I can stay connected to her. She has to trust me, or she’ll leave. And I can’t handle that. Not again.
It’s the last day of school, and I’m practically buzzing with excitement as I head to the bus. I can’t wait to get home, and send Azzi a message—anything really. I don’t care if it’s about her puppy or the weather or something ridiculous. I just want to talk to her.
I find a seat on the bus and pull out my phone. As the bus rumbles on, I open up Blogspot. I scroll through the messages Azzi and I exchanged earlier, just before school started. I can’t help but laugh at the part where she told me her dog, Stewie, peed in her shoe. That image—her tiny, brown wiener dog peeing in her brand new sneakers—was so perfectly her. Her humor, her frustration, her charm.
I giggle, but then it hits me. The guilt. It crashes over me, sudden and sharp, like a wave I didn’t see coming. My thumb freezes over the screen, hovering over the keyboard. I look at the conversation, at the funny banter we shared this morning, and my chest tightens. I don’t deserve this. I don’t deserve her.
If she knew who I really was, if she knew the truth about why I was pretending to be someone else… she would never look at me the same way again. She’d leave me. She would never trust me again.
I feel the tightness in my chest grow, and I look out the window, trying to distract myself. But it’s no use. The guilt is like a weight on my shoulders, pressing down harder the longer I sit with it. Every word I’ve typed to Azzi, every moment I’ve shared with her—it’s all a lie. And I hate myself for it.
But I can’t stop. I can’t let her go again. It pained me the first time…it won’t happen again.
I stare at the phone in my hand, biting my lip. What if she finds out? What if she figures it out before I can come clean?
What if? What if? What if?
The thought is too much. I set the phone down on my lap, staring out the window, hoping the weight in my chest will ease.
A few minutes later, my phone vibrates in my lap. A new message.
unicornpuppy35: p, i just got home and stewie’s tryna eat my shoelace again. i swear this dog’s scheming.
I smile, but it doesn’t reach my eyes. My thumb hovers over the screen again. I want to reply, want to send something funny, something comforting, but all I can think about is how this isn’t real. None of it is real.
boogers_p: obviously. stewie’s prolly like, “shoelaces are phase one. world domination’s next.”
unicornpuppy35: no fr, this little dude really thinks he runs the place.
boogers_p: i mean… does he not? u literally pay rent in shoelaces and snacks.
unicornpuppy35: and socks. don’t forget the socks. he got one of mine this morning smh.
I bit my lip, trying not to laugh too loud as I typed back.
boogers_p: rip to the sock. gone but not forgotten.
The typing bubble popped up and disappeared a few times before finally settling on:
unicornpuppy35: ur so ridiculous, p. u know that?
boogers_p: i’ve heard rumors.
I paused, smirking at the screen. Then, a thought hit me, and her fingers flew over the keyboard.
boogers_p: ok, real question. what’s stewie short for? or did u just look at him and go, “yup, that’s a stewie”?
There was a pause before Azzi’s response came through.
unicornpuppy35: named him after breanna stewart.
I blinked at the screen, my smile softening. Of course she did.
boogers_p: oh damn, respect. stewie’s a legend fr but no surprise you chose her.
unicornpuppy35: p, language. and duhh, hence the name.
boogers_p: my bad my bad, but u really said, “lemme name my dog after greatness.” iconic move, puppy.
I knew the nickname would get to her. It always did. The reply came fast.
unicornpuppy35: stop calling me that!!!
boogers_p: nah. it fits too good. also, it’s cute. like u.
Shit. There was a long pause before I saw the typing bubble flicker again.
unicornpuppy35: u really know how to get on my nerves, huh?
boogers_p: talent, tbh.
Azzi’s response came slower this time:
unicornpuppy35: sometimes i wonder why i even talk to u.
Paige snorted, her thumbs moving fast.
boogers_p: cuz i’m funny. and charming. and u lowkey love me. just admit it.
The reply took a moment.
unicornpuppy35: …maybe stewie loves u. that’s as close as ur getting.
I barked out a laugh, the sound drawing a curious glance from the kid across the aisle.
boogers_p: i’ll take it. tell stewie i’m his #1 fan.
unicornpuppy35: he’ll probably steal another shoelace to celebrate.
boogers_p: a king. truly.
I stared at the screen for a second longer, my chest feeling warm and tight in a way I couldn’t even describe.
unicornpuppy35: u good, peanut? u seem kinda off lately.
My fingers hesitated over the keyboard, my mouth forming into a small smile at my nickname. Azzi always asked. I didn’t know how she managed to carry so much and still notice the little things about me. God.
boogers_p: yeah, i’m straight. just tired, you know?
unicornpuppy35: don’t let it get to u p. me and stewie got ur back.
Paige swallowed the lump in her throat, her reply coming slower this time.
boogers_p: thanks, puppy. u and stewie the real mvps fr.
Pup- I mean Azzi’s reply was just a string of eye-roll emojis, but I could picture the grin on her face. I wish I could just see it for myself.
boogers_p: love u too.
So much.
I send the message, knowing I can’t keep lying forever. But for now, I’ll hold on.
——-
Paige walked into her room, shutting the door with a quiet click, as if any louder might let her thoughts escape into the world. Tossing her bag into the corner, she kicked off her shoes and peeled off her clothes, leaving a trail toward the bathroom. The hot water scalded her pale skin, but she barely noticed, the familiar ache in her chest louder than the pounding spray.
When she came out, dressed in an oversized T-shirt, her damp hair sticking to her neck, she flopped onto her bed. She should sleep. She needed sleep. But instead, her hand reached for the scrapbook tucked under her nightstand.
Opening it, her heart clenched as she stared at the first photo—Azzi on the swing set, caught mid-laugh, her curls bouncing wildly as she leaned over, her dimple deepening with every giggle. Paige could still hear the sound of it, bright and free, almost as if Azzi were right there in the room with her.
The second photo wasn’t much better. Her and Azzi at the diner for her 15th birthday, Azzi’s arm slung around hers like it belonged there. Paige could almost feel the ghost of Azzi’s touch, the warmth of her hand on her arm, the way Azzi’s voice would soften when she scolded her for cussing too much.
She flipped the page closed before she started crying again. It didn’t help.
Her fingers brush over the closed scrapbook, tracing its edges. She knows it’s pathetic to feel this way, to let herself get so tangled up in someone who probably doesn’t even think about her anymore. It’s dumb, she knows that. But it doesn’t change the way her heart clenches at the thought of Azzi laughing somewhere else, with someone else, as if Paige never mattered.
Because the truth is, she’s never felt this way about anyone before. Not like this. Not about their friendship, or whatever it used to be. Friendship doesn’t even seem like the right word anymore. It feels too small, too simple for something that made her feel whole in a way nothing else ever has.
Will you miss me, Azzi? Paige swallows hard, her jaw tightening as tears blur her vision again. Will you miss what we had? Because I do. I miss you so much it hurts. It fucking hurts.
Her voice dropped to a whisper, her eyes closing as the words spilled from her heart. God I think I’d miss you even if we never met.
Paige dragged a hand over her face, trying to will the tears back, but they came anyway, hot and relentless. She clutched the scrapbook tighter to her chest. I miss you. Every day. Every second of every day. I miss you so much it’s pathetic.
She let out a shaky laugh that turned into a sob halfway through. “It’s so dumb,” she muttered, shaking her head. But no matter how many times she said it, it didn’t make it any less true. It’s the realest thing she’s ever felt.
Because no one had ever made her feel like Azzi did. Not before, not since. She wasn’t sure anyone ever would.
She wipes at her face, but the tears won’t stop. Because no matter how much she misses Azzi, Paige knows it’s her fault she’s gone. She clings to the scrapbook, the pictures inside the only pieces of Azzi she has left. And as much as it hurts, she knows she deserves this. Every ache, every tear, every lonely second.
Because she let her go. And that’s something she can never take back.
——-
Azzi sat quietly in the backseat, her hands clammy as she rubbed them over her shorts, trying to calm the nerves that had been with her all morning. Her brothers had hyped her up about making the team, calling her the coach’s “princess,” but it didn’t help. She was still terrified. What if she didn’t make it? What if she wasn’t good enough?
She whispered to Stewie, who was in her lap, his small body a source of comfort. “What if I don’t make the team, huh? I know it’s stupid, but it keeps running through my mind… what if I mess up?”
Her mom glanced back at her from the front seat, a soft smile on her face. “You’ll do fine, Azzi. You always do.”
But Azzi couldn’t shake the unease, the thoughts spinning in her head as the car pulled into the gym parking lot. Her stomach twisted into knots, and her heart raced in anticipation. They arrived early, her mom wanting to meet the coaches first, so Azzi was the first one there.
She stepped out of the car, still trying to calm her breathing. As her mom led her inside, Azzi forced herself to smile and greet the coaches, though her mind was a hundred miles away. She excused herself once the introductions were made, eager to find the locker room and settle in before tryouts started.
The gym was empty when she walked in, the silence amplifying her every step. She meandered down the hall, her fingers grazing the walls as she took in the pictures of past players, their smiles frozen in time. She felt her nerves rise again, the pressure of what was to come weighing on her.
But as she rounded a corner, her body collided with something—or rather, someone.
“Sorry!” Azzi blurted, quickly stepping back. But when she looked up, her breath caught. There, standing in front of her, was Paige. She froze, heart pounding in her chest. Her mind screamed for her to move, to say something, anything, but her body just wouldn’t cooperate.
Paige stood there too, her mouth slightly open in disbelief, her eyes wide. The silence stretched between them, thick and heavy. Then, almost as if the world had shifted, Paige finally spoke her name.
“Azzi?” she whispered.
Azzi’s stomach churned, but she couldn’t stop staring at her. How? How could she be here? How had she found her, of all places? This wasn’t supposed to happen, not here, not now. Not ever.
But Paige was looking at her like she hadn’t missed a beat, like the time apart hadn’t meant anything. Azzi could see the recognition in her eyes, the same as she felt in her chest.
It was instant. Her face was older now, sharper, but it was still her. Those blue eyes. The way she stood. Even the slight tilt of her head when she was unsure of herself. Azzi hadn’t expected it to hit her this hard.
A year ago, she swore she’d move on. Swore that she’d forget what Paige meant to her. But now, standing here, all she felt was the sharp twist of memory and the burn of anger.
How could she not recognize her? Paige had been the first person to make her feel seen, to make her feel like she mattered. But she had also been the first person to hurt her more than anyone else had. Azzi couldn’t forget that. Not the way she laughed with her, not the way she’d come after her with apologies she could never quite believe.
Azzi had convinced herself she was past it. Past Paige. But now, here she was, staring at her as if nothing had changed. It was too much, too fast. Does she really think I’ve forgotten?
Paige stepped forward, her movements tentative, unsure. Azzi almost wanted to take a step back, to run, but she couldn’t move. She stood there, feeling the weight of everything that had happened between them pressing in on her.
“Azzi,” Paige said softly, her voice almost hesitant.
Azzi blinked, her heart racing. She forced herself to act like she didn’t know her, even though everything inside her screamed that she did. “Sorry,” Azzi said, her voice steady despite the tightness in her chest. “Do I know you?”

Masterlist || Ao3
AN: apologies to those who have requested things before this! I am working on a few others, but I had to get this one out today! Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving if they celebrate it! I also would be happy to take holiday requests that are non-christmas!
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Grumpy!Female Reader
Word Count: 3.3k
Tags/Warnings: Christmas, Alcohol TW, Grumpy!Reader, Hotch with the Praising, Suggestive Flirting,
Sypnosis: When the BAU gathers for Rossi’s annual Christmas party, you’re determined to survive the night with your grumpy demeanor firmly intact. Holiday cheer isn’t your thing, but Aaron Hotchner—your stoic, endlessly patient boyfriend—has a way of melting your resolve.
Rossi’s estate was decked out in its holiday best. Twinkling lights illuminated every corner, and the smell of pine, cinnamon, and whatever culinary masterpiece Rossi had whipped up filled the air. The BAU team, scattered across the sprawling mansion, was in various stages of celebrating—laughter and clinking glasses echoing in the space. You, however, sat on the edge of a couch in the living room, a scowl lightly gracing your face as you sipped your drink.
“Didn’t realize Scrooge made the guest list,” Morgan teased, plopping down beside you. He had a full glass himself, but it was in stark contrast to what you were drinking. The spiked eggnog he had was far too sweet for your liking. You kept it simple and…you with the gin on the rocks.
“Ha, ha,” you deadpanned, taking another sip, waving him off, “I’m just here for the food. Don’t get used to this festive spirit.”
“Festive spirit? That’s a stretch,” Emily chimed in from across the room, “Come on, admit it—you’re having fun.”
You rolled your eyes. Sure, the party wasn’t awful, but your natural state of grumpiness was a hard shell to crack. And yet, it seemed like everyone was on a mission tonight to tease you out of it.
Well, almost everyone.
You glanced across the room, and there he was—Aaron Hotchner, in all his stoic, composed glory. He was in conversation with Rossi, holding a glass of something that wasn’t eggnog (because, of course, he also wasn’t an eggnog guy). His suit jacket was off, tie loosened just slightly, and the sight of him caused the smallest crack in your armor.
Hotch glanced in your direction as if sensing your gaze. His lips quirked into a small, knowing smile before he excused himself and made his way toward you. Your heart betrayed you with a flutter, but you shoved the feeling down, keeping your scowl firmly in place.
“Hey, sunshine,” he greeted softly, the corner of his mouth lifting just enough to tease you.
“Funny,” you replied. “Everyone’s a comedian tonight.”
“Hmm.” He perched on the armrest of the couch beside you, close enough for his presence to feel grounding but not overwhelming. “Morgan giving you a hard time?”
“When isn’t he?” you muttered, glancing at the man in question, who was now laughing with Garcia by the fireplace.
Hotch chuckled lightly. “It’s only because he cares.”
“I think he just likes to mess with me.”
“That too.” He leaned closer, his voice dropping just for you. “You know, you could try smiling. It’s Christmas.”
“Why should I? There’s a whole house full of people here doing it for me.”
Hotch’s laugh was quiet but genuine, the kind of sound you swore could melt even your grumpiest moods. You felt his hand brush lightly against yours, where it rested on your knee, a simple, grounding touch.
“I like your grumpiness,” he said, surprising you. “But I like it even more when I can make it go away.”
Before you could respond, you heard Emily call out from somewhere behind you. “Hotch, do something about her face before it ruins the photos.”
You turned to glare at her, but Hotch chuckled again. “Let’s give them what they want, then.”
He stood, placing his drink on a coaster and offering you his hand. You raised a brow. “What are you up to, Aaron?”
“Trust me,” he said, his tone gentle but playful.
With a sigh, you placed your hand in his and let him pull you up. He guided you toward the doorway leading into the dining room, where a sprig of mistletoe hung, subtle but unmistakable.
“Oh, come on,” you groaned, realizing his plan. “Mistletoe? Really?” You knew you sounded like a defiant child, but really?
“You don’t like traditions?” His voice was smooth, his expression amused but patient as ever. Why did he have to give you that look?
“It’s cheesy.”
“Maybe. But I think we owe Rossi for hosting this party.” He stepped closer, his brown eyes warm, his smile soft. “What do you say?”
Before you could roll your eyes again, the team noticed. Garcia was the first to squeal. “Oh my gosh, yes! Kiss her, Hotch!”
“Might as well get it over with!” Morgan called out, grinning ear to ear.
“Stop making it a thing,” you muttered, cheeks heating as you shot daggers at your friends. You could have sworn you heard Rossi whistle.
But then Hotch gently tilted your chin up, bringing your focus back to him. His expression was calm, steady, the kind of look that always reminded you why you fell for him in the first place. The soft brush of his thumb against your chin was electric enough to refocus your brain.
“It doesn’t have to be a thing,” he said quietly, just for you. So nonchalant, like you weren’t the center of attention. “Just us.”
You couldn’t argue with that. With a resigned sigh, you leaned up, and he met you halfway, his lips brushing yours in a kiss that was soft and unhurried. The world around you seemed to fade for a moment, your grumpiness melting away like snow under the warmth of the sun.
When you pulled back, the room erupted in applause and cheers, which immediately brought your scowl back.
“Great. Now it’s a spectacle.”
Hotch chuckled, his hand sliding down to rest on the small of your back. “I’ll make it up to you later.”
“Better.”
The team’s laughter and cheers didn’t let up, and you glared at them over your shoulder. “Don’t you all have something better to do than act like high schoolers?”
“Not when this is more entertaining than TV,” Morgan quipped, raising his glass.
“You’re all insufferable,” you grumbled, though the faintest twitch of a smile betrayed your faux annoyance.
Hotch leaned in closer, his hand steady on your back. “Do you want to stay here and endure this, or should we disappear for a while?”
Your brow quirked. “Disappear? That’s not very supervisory of you.”
“Supervisory me is off duty,” he replied, his lips just barely brushing your ear. “And I have more interesting priorities tonight.”
The flush creeping up your neck betrayed the calm facade you tried to maintain. “Fine. Let’s get out of here before they start taking bets.”
You were hoping he meant to leave. Adios. Irish goodbye. But his plans were more of an intermission of sorts.
The two of you slipped away toward one of the quieter sitting rooms, though not without a few knowing smirks from the team. Rossi’s mansion, as sprawling as it was, offered plenty of places to hide away from the chaos. You found yourselves in a cozy, dimly lit room with a roaring fireplace, the sound of the party fading into the background.
“This better not be where you try to sell me on more Christmas traditions,” you teased, crossing your arms as you turned to face him. Somehow, even this unused room, in Rossi’s mansion, abode for one, was even decked out for the holiday.
Hotch stepped closer, his gaze soft but focused entirely on you. “No traditions this time. Just us.”
You softened at that, the tension you always carried in your shoulders easing a little. “You’re dangerously close to getting me in the holiday spirit.”
“Is that so?” he said, the faintest hint of amusement playing at his lips. “Should I be worried?”
“Maybe.” You stepped closer, resting your hands on his chest. “But don’t let it go to your head.”
His hand came up to cup your cheek, his thumb brushing gently along your skin. “I think I’ll take my chances.”
The kiss that followed was deeper this time, more intent behind it, yet still carrying that steady warmth you always found in him. You lost yourself in the feel of him, the stress and grumpiness of the day melting away completely.
When you finally pulled back, your forehead rested against his, and you let out a soft sigh. “You’re infuriating, you know that?”
“Am I?” His tone was amused, but his gaze was steady, his hand lingering at your waist.
“Yeah. I can’t even stay mad around you.”
“That’s the goal.” He kissed your forehead, his voice low and affectionate. “I like seeing you happy. Even if it takes a little extra effort.”
You opened your mouth to reply, but the sound of someone clearing their throat made you both turn. Standing in the doorway, Rossi grinned, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
“Hope I’m not interrupting,” he said, though his tone suggested he was enjoying this far too much. “I just came to see where my guests of honor disappeared to.”
You sighed, giving Hotch a knowing look. “I told you they wouldn’t let us escape.”
Hotch chuckled softly, his hand still at your back. “It was worth a try.”
“Well, don’t let me stop you,” Rossi said with a wave of his hand. “But you might want to come back before Garcia starts circulating conspiracy theories.”
Rossi left with a wink, and you groaned, burying your face in Hotch’s chest. “I swear, next year, we’re skipping this.”
He held you close, caressing your back with reassurance, his voice warm with laughter. “Not a chance. But I told you, I’ll make it up to you afterward.”
You looked up at him, arching a brow. “You’d better.”
Hotch’s hand lingered at the small of your back as the two of you stepped back into the glow of Rossi’s holiday party. The laughter and music were a sharp contrast to the quiet moment you’d just shared, but his steady presence grounded you as always.
Morgan was the first to spot you, a wide grin splitting his face. “There they are! And here I thought you two were off plotting something.”
“Only my escape,” you replied dryly, earning a chorus of laughs from the group.
“Oh, come on, we know you secretly love it here,” Garcia said, her sparkling outfit matching the mischievous glint in her eyes. “Especially when you’ve got him by your side.”
Hotch’s hand tightened slightly at your back, his calm demeanor unshaken by the team’s teasing. “Someone has to keep her from bolting.”
“Someone,” you muttered under your breath, shooting him a side-eye glance. His lips quirked in amusement, his brown eyes soft as they met yours.
The teasing continued as Rossi brought out a tray of desserts, insisting everyone try his homemade tiramisu. As the team gathered around the kitchen island, you felt yourself relax into the chaos, the warmth of their camaraderie chipping away at your usual reluctance.
“You know,” JJ said, nudging your arm with a grin, “you’re almost smiling. Is Hotch rubbing off on you?”
“Absolutely not,” you deadpanned, earning another round of laughter.
Hotch leaned in close, his voice just for you. “Is it so bad to admit you’re enjoying yourself?”
You shot him a playful glare but couldn’t quite fight the small smile tugging at your lips. “Maybe. But if you tell them that, I’ll deny it.”
He chuckled softly, brushing his hand along your arm. “Your secret’s safe with me.”
As the night wore on, the team drifted into various activities—some chatting near the fireplace, others engaged in a spirited game of charades. You found yourself by the Christmas tree, admiring the lights despite yourself. Hotch joined you quietly, his presence as calming as ever.
“You’re staring,” you said, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye. You tried to focus back on the various shiny bulbs hanging from each branch but couldn’t help but look back toward him.
“Just admiring the view,” he replied without missing a beat, his gaze fixed on you.
Your cheeks warmed, and you looked away, grumbling, “You’re insufferable.”
“And yet, you’re still here,” he said, the faintest smirk on his lips.
You rolled your eyes but leaned into him slightly, letting the quiet moment settle around you. For all the teasing, the chaos, and your initial reluctance, you couldn’t deny that being here—with him—made it all worthwhile.
The soft glow of the Christmas tree lights reflected in Hotch’s warm brown eyes as you both stood there, taking in the quiet moment. The sounds of the team’s laughter echoed in the background, distant enough to feel like you were in your own little world.
“You know,” he started, his voice low and thoughtful, “I never thought I’d be doing this again.”
“Doing what?” you asked, glancing up at him. You could feel the shift in his energy. It was something, especially with him, you could pick up on before words even left his mouth. Your usual demeanor softened, recognizing this.
He gestured subtly toward the tree, the party, the warmth of the night. “Celebrating. Finding this... peace. With someone I care about.”
The sincerity in his tone made your chest tighten. Hotch wasn’t one to overshare or wear his emotions openly, so moments like these carried weight. You hesitated, unsure how to respond, the vulnerability in his words catching you off guard.
“Maybe I didn’t mind it as much as I let on,” you admitted quietly, your voice softer than usual, almost reluctant. The confession hung in the air for a beat before you quickly added, “But don’t get too sentimental on me. I have a reputation to uphold.”
The corner of his mouth lifted slightly, his gaze flicking toward you briefly before returning to the road. “Of course. Wouldn’t want anyone thinking you’ve gone soft.”
As the evening wound down, the energy in Rossi’s mansion began to settle. The team had dispersed into smaller groups—Emily and Garcia were deep in a heated debate over whether "Die Hard" was a Christmas movie, with JJ chiming in occasionally, Morgan was helping Rossi clean up, and Reid had somehow been roped into organizing the board games Rossi insisted on showcasing earlier. You stood near the door, watching it all unfold with a mix of amusement and relief. The night had been more tolerable than expected, but you were ready to call it.
Hotch appeared at your side, his coat draped over his arm. “Ready to head out?”
You sighed, giving the room one last glance. The goodbyes had just about done you in. You tried to hide a comment about likely being called into seeing all of these people before the next few days were over but held back.
“More than ready. Let’s go before Rossi tries to guilt me into taking leftovers.”
Hotch’s lips curved into the faintest smile, and he helped you into your coat, his hands lingering just a second longer than necessary.
Once outside, the crisp winter air hit your face, a refreshing contrast to the cozy warmth of Rossi’s house. The driveway was lined with cars, their frosted windshields glittering under the soft glow of the outdoor lights. Hotch walked you to his car, opening the passenger door for you as always.
The drive back to your shared apartment was quiet, the sound of Christmas music on the radio filling the silence. You stared out the window at the snow-dusted streets, watching as the lights from decorated houses passed by in a blur.
The soft hum of the car and the muted glow of passing streetlights filled the comfortable silence between you. Hotch glanced your way again, a flicker of amusement in his gaze as his fingers tapped lightly against the steering wheel.
“You were good tonight,” he said again, his voice carrying a warm, teasing edge that made you glance at him with narrowed eyes.
“Good?” you repeated, raising a brow. “Are you about to give me a gold star?”
His lips twitched, but he didn’t break. “If I thought it’d keep you in line, I’d consider it. But we both know you respond to other things.”
Your cheeks burned at the weight of his words, the way his tone wrapped around you. Your stomach flipped at the way his voice dipped just enough to send a pleasant shiver down your spine. You masked it with a roll of your eyes, your tone teasing as you replied, “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it,” he countered smoothly, his eyes flicking toward you again, steady and unshakable.
Your mouth twitched into a small, reluctant smile as you turned back to the window. “Don’t get used to it. I’m not exactly lining up for the Most Festive award anytime soon.”
“I wouldn’t expect you to,” he said, his voice softer now. “But you showed up, you played nice, and you made it through without biting anyone’s head off. Maybe even a smile or two. That’s progress.”
You scoffed lightly, though his words sent a subtle warmth through your chest. “If you think that’s progress, your standards are lower than I thought.”
His smirk deepened, and he let the silence stretch for a moment before he replied, “I think you know my standards are anything but low. Especially when it comes to you.”
Your cheeks warmed at the weight of his words, but you kept your tone light. “You’re lucky I even went. I could’ve stayed home.”
“You could have,” he agreed easily, his voice steady. “But you didn’t. And I’m glad you didn’t.”
The sincerity in his tone caught you off guard for a moment, and you glanced at him, his profile illuminated by the soft glow of the passing streetlights. His presence was so steady, so calm, it made your usual defenses falter. “You really mean that, don’t you?”
He gave a small nod, keeping his eyes on the road. “I do. You didn’t have to go, but you did. For me.” The corner of his mouth tugged upward again, but this time, his gaze stayed on the road. “You know, for someone who’s so resistant to the holidays, you play along pretty well when you want to.”
You raised a brow. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means,” he said, glancing at you now with that steady, unreadable expression, “that I see right through you.”
Your stomach flipped at the way his voice dropped, warm and firm. “Oh, do you now?”
“Yes,” he replied without hesitation, his tone laced with challenge. “And for the record, you did better than good tonight. You were perfect.”
The car pulled into the driveway of your shared apartment, and the engine’s hum faded as he shut it off. You turned to face him, your heart beating just a little faster under his gaze. “Perfect, huh? That’s a bold claim.”
“It is,” he said, his hand resting lightly on the gearshift as he leaned just slightly toward you. “But I don’t say things I don’t mean.”
You stared at him for a moment, caught between wanting to roll your eyes and wanting to melt under the intensity of his gaze. “Fine. But if you’re so impressed with me, you’d better make it worth my while.”
His lips curved into that rare, private smile he reserved just for you. “Oh, I plan to.”
The warmth in his voice sent a shiver down your spine, and you huffed, reaching for the door handle to hide your reaction. “You’d better, Hotchner.”
He chuckled softly, stepping out of the car and rounding to your side to open your door—always the gentleman, no matter how much it flustered you. As you stepped out, his hand found its way to the small of your back, guiding you toward the door with that quiet, steady presence that always left you feeling just a little off balance.
By the time you reached your apartment, you were practically buzzing with anticipation—not just for whatever promises lay unspoken between you, but for the way he always seemed to know how to unravel your defenses with nothing more than a look and a touch.
And tonight, you were more than ready to let him.

decided to watch all of buck’s breakups last night and here are (part) of the conversations/how each of the breakups played out to compare and contrast if you so desire. i didn’t include the entire conversations because it would be too long and i think the parts i included capture the core of the breakups well enough.
note: information in square brackets is just some context i included since i didn't add the full conversations
buck and abby, breakup, 1x10:
[after abby’s mom passes and she books a ticket to ireland in an effort to find herself and what she wants]
abby: “. . .i care about you so much. you’re amazing. and these last few months, i think you've gotten me, at least halfway, to the person i want to be. but I've got to do this [go to ireland/travel] so that i know i have something to give.”
buck: “i’m excited for you. almost as much as i am, um, sad for me. i’m gonna miss you.”
abby: “i’m gonna miss you, too.”
[when buck is dropping her to the airport]
abby: "you're not gonna come in with me?"
buck: "i learned a while ago, you never go beyond the glass doors."
abby: "i must be crazy to be leaving you behind."
buck: "you're not leaving anything behind. you're moving toward something. and i'm gonna be right here when you come back, okay? go on. you got this, okay?"
abby: "take care of yourself, okay?"
buck: "you, too, abby."
buck and abby, ‘closure’, 3x18:
[after abby and buck meet for the first time since 1x10 when she and her finance are in a train derailment and buck + the 118 save his life]
abby: “. . .i just had no sense of self. i had to leave everything that i knew so that i could remember who i actually am.”
buck: “and you did, right? i mean, you did remember, but you still didn't come home.”
abby: “yeah, i know. i think i was afraid that if i came back, i would become that person again. because i missed you. i wanted to see you. but i didn't trust myself.”
buck: “because being here, being with me, you might lose yourself again?”
abby: “yeah.”
buck: “i’m glad to see you happy, abby. you deserve it.”
—
buck and ali, 2x18:
[after buck’s leg gets crushed under the fire truck and it hits ali what it means to be with a firefighter]
ali: “. . .look, it’s not like i didn't know you were in a dangerous line of work when i met you, you know, ten stories up of a collapsing high rise.”
buck: “exactly.”
ali: “that was one day. one day of my life, evan. it’s every day for you. i’m just starting to really understand what that means.”
buck: “wait, so-so you want me to quit my job, that's what you're asking me to do?”
ali: “no, i would never, i would never ask you to do that. listen. i know it's who you are. i’m just not sure. if it's…”
buck: “…who you are.”
ali: “hey. i don't know yet. okay?”

buck and taylor, 5x18:
[after taylor publishes the story about jonah buck had asked her not]
taylor: “. . .i’m sorry you're still upset about the story.”
buck: “you’re not sorry for what you did, though.”
taylor: “the story was gonna come out regardless. if i hadn't have broken it, someone else would have.”
buck: “you couldn't have called me first? no. you-you just, you figured i’d be fine. i’d get over it.”
taylor: “buck, i wasn't trying to hurt you or anyone else. i was just trying to get the truth out there. a truth the public has every right to know.”
buck: “this is literally our first argument all over again.”
taylor: “which is why we shouldn't be having it. you knew who i was when we started dating.”
buck: “i guess i thought i could learn to live with it.”
taylor: “i don't want to be something you have to learn to live with.”
buck: “and i don't want to keep on making the same mistakes. i need things to be different, taylor.”
taylor: “okay. i’m willing to try that. clean slate.”
buck: “yeah. just not together.”

buck and tommy, 8x06:
[after bucks tells tommy that he also dated abby]
buck: ". . .my relationship with abby was—it was the most transformative of my life. until now. look, i-i think one of the reasons that i am so comfortable with you is-is 'cause you're so comfortable with you."
tommy: "i wasn't always that way."
buck: "i know, i-i do. and honestly, it just makes me admire you more."
buck: "i want you to move in with me. i want you to move in with me. i-'m ready to take the next step. and i'm not saying let's get married or engaged, even though we would have the right, thanks to the brave people who came before, including you. all I'm saying is, why be apart when we can be together?"
tommy: "evan, that is so sweet but I can't move in with you."
buck: "and why not?"
tommy: "because, i know how this ends."
buck: "uh, wh-what's that supposed to mean?"
tommy: "look, evan. you're an incredible guy. big-hearted. hot as hell. funny. impulsive. but what you're feeling right now is... is new. and it's exciting, and it feels like forever. but you're still figuring yourself out. and that's good."
buck: "what are you saying?"
tommy: "i'm saying no matter how bad i wanted to be, i'm not your last. i'm your first."
buck: "well, hey, they-they can be the same thing."
tommy: "but they usually aren't. if i were to move in with you, you wouldn't mean to, you wouldn't plan for it but you'd end up breaking my heart. and i, i don't think that i could deal with that."
tommy: "i should go."
buck: "wait, wait, wait, hey, hey, um... wait, d-did you just break up with me?"
tommy: "yeah. i guess i did. believe me, i didn't see it coming, either. should've known that parking spot was too good to be true. i'll see you around, buck."

a dinnertime distraction
happy thanksgiving! I love you critical role fandom <3 here's something from my table to yours today :)
“Is applesauce a soup?”
Caleb considered this, gently putting the half peeled potato and knife onto the table, and leaned back in his chair.
“Let’s give the thought an unravel. Is it a liquid?”
Luc propped his elbows on the table, an action that once was a big reach now a little easier after a growth spurt. “Yeah. A chunky liquid, but so is soup.”
Caleb moved his finger in the air to mimic a check mark. “Can you eat it with a spoon?”
“It’d be stupid to eat with a fork!” Luc laughed. “Forks can’t slurp.”
Caleb checked again. “But is it hot?”
Luc stuck out his tongue. “That’d be so gross, hot applesauce, it’s not ‘sposed to be hot, its too— wait, wait, is that pie?”
“Is apple pie hot apples?” Caleb fought against his smile, trying to keep the teacherly demeanor going.
“Duh! Or like maybe sorta hot apples if you leave it in the window too long and forget about it.”
“If applesauce is hot, or lukewarm,” Caleb reached out to tap Luc’s nose. “Is it a soup?”
“Yeah!” Luc clapped on the table. “Totally! Oh, is apple pie a soup?”
Caleb shrugged. “What do you think?”
Luc pushed off from the table, making the potato wobble in place, and ran back where he came from, yelling into the kitchen. “Apple pie is soup! Apple pie is soup!”
Caleb stifled his laughter into his cardigan sleeve, mischief bubbling over anyways. It wasn’t more than a minute later when Veth poked her head around the doorframe.
“What did you tell my son?” She glared at Caleb. “You’re worse than Jester! We were eating salad with only a spoon for a week ‘cause she convinced him it’s cereal!”
“Whatever works to make him eat his greens.” He smiled serenely, the very picture of a wise sage on the mountain.
Veth wasn’t fooled and jabbed her fingers at him. “All those potatoes better be peeled soon, young man. If you have time for shenanigans you have time to help me make dinner.”
“Meine gute Freundin, there’s always time for shenanigans.” Caleb flicked his hands in the air, a muttered word under his breath, and the potato lifted in the air without him touching it.
“Damn right there is.” Veth grinned. “However I’m starving and Beau is shockingly horrible with a knife and I don’t trust Fjord anywhere near the silverware in case he takes a bite and swallows again. I’m relying on you Caycay.”
Caleb held up a hand in salute, then grabbed the potato peeler again.
Veth looked him over, a thought pinching her brow. “You want company? I could send Essek in after he finishes the onions with Caduceus.”
The potato peeler almost skipped a beat towards a finger tip rather than potato skin. “Ah, well, if the point is alacrity perhaps don’t send a distraction my way?”
Veth smiled and Caleb knew his mistake immediately.
“So Essek is a distraction huh. Hot boi would distract you from your potato duties. So you do have a little crushypoo like Jester said.”
“No, Veth, I didn’t say—“
His words fall into empty air as Veth skipped back into the kitchen, calling Essek’s name with far too much glee in her voice.

Of Butterflies and Backstrokes Part 15
And here we are at the end! It's been a wild and fun ride. Thank you to everyone who came with me on this journey!
@cryptid-system I hope my solution is as easy as yours ;)
We have the fallout from the cliffhanger, Steve taking that final step, and the truth comes out.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12 Part 13 Part 14
~
When they got there, it was already a mess. Eddie had caught Jason at his locker and when Chrissy provided evidence that he was told to do so by Billy, that pretty much stopped the whole fucking event.
It took two days to untangle the whole shitshow, but at the end, Jason was replaced by an alternate and Chrissy allowed to continue, but with strict instructions that if she so much as toed the line she would be removed too.
Chrissy readily agreed. She wanted to compete, she didn’t want to cheat.
But that got Eddie thinking and he discussed his theory with the judges. They agreed to look into it but that the games would continue as scheduled.
Eddie agreed that would probably be best.
When it was time for the first meet, for real this time, Eddie made a show of checking his starting block for any sign of sabotage.
“Eddie Munson, checking his block for any signs of tampering,” the announcer said. “With his coach being Steve Harrington and the attempt to get him out of the races for drug possession, he has a lot of reasons to be cautious.”
The other announcer burst out laughing. “Did he just kick it? Like one does a tire of a used car one is buying?”
“It appears he did,” the announcer said, grinning from ear to ear. “It makes for some good entertainment, though.”
“It does that, yes.”
Eddie looked up at the stands and gave Steve a thumbs up and Steve burst out laughing.
Then Eddie put his goggles on, lowered himself into the water and grasped the starting block. He settled in and waited for the horn. No gun shots here.
Then the horn blared and he was off like a shot, arching into the water the way that Steve always loved.
He was graceful and fluid. And he was way ahead of his peers.
Steve was on the edge of his seat. Wayne and Robin each had a hand on his shoulders as Eddie kept his lead. Steve glanced up at the timer, but it was no where near a world record. But at this point it didn’t matter. Slowly the three of them rose to their feet as he neared the end.
Then he touched the pad and the entire stadium roared to life.
“What an incredible performance!” the first announcer crowed. “First time Olympian, Eddie Munson has taken the first gold of the swimming games!”
“And what an amazing gold it was,” the second announcer agreed. “We have USA teammate Trent York in silver, and bronze medal to Itsuke Tohsaka for Japan!”
“Great work to the USA for that double win,” the announced concluded.
~
On the winner’s podium, Eddie took a bite out of the gold to make sure it was real and then held it above his head.
Steve was so excited, he was jumping up and down. Then he did the unexpected. He ran out to the field and kissed Eddie senseless as he hopped down from the podium and into Steve’s waiting arms.
Steve spun him around excitedly and then kissed him again.
“If that’s the reaction I get when I get gold I’m going to have to win a lot more of them,” Eddie teased.
“It won’t matter,” Steve murmured into his ear. “I’ll kiss you no matter how you fare.”
Eddie smacked his arm. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna watch my teammate propose to his girlfriend of three years.”
Steve turned to where, sure enough Trent York was getting down on one knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
“Ah...” he said with a deep blush. “Nothing to be jealous of there, then?”
Eddie gently pulled Steve’s gaze away from the happy scene. “Never, lover boy.” And kissed him to the roar of the crowd.
The poor Japanese kid was looking around because he didn’t know what to do. Then a fan came tearing through the crowd and promptly kissed him on the mouth.
The announcers were calling it the love games, much to Steve and Eddie’s absolute glee.
~
Eddie medalled in all five of his events with talks to see about joining some of the medley teams for greater diversity of his form.
After Eddie’s last gold medal, his third, he was approached by the Olympic community for the swimming. His other two were silver, beating out Steve’s first time.
“Mr. Munson,” the French judge said, “we wanted to thank you for bringing to our attention your suspicions of the 2008 games.”
Steve looked at Eddie in confusion. “What suspicions?”
“Steve,” Wayne said gravely, “it’s been the long-held belief of a lot of people for awhile now that your accident wasn’t an accident at all.”
“Of course it was,” he said, frowning. “They looked into it afterwards and there were no signs of tampering.”
The Olympic members looked around at each other abashedly.
“That’s not quite true,” the English Olympic member muttered, “it was deemed inconclusive.”
Steve’s eyes went wide. “Are you kidding me right now?”
“With Billy sabotaging Mr. Munson with the drugs,” the French Olympic member said, “he asked us to see if there was any indication he had done such things in the past.”
“Billy?” Steve said, feeling the rush of blood around his ears. “Oh god. I always thought there was more to what happened, but Billy?”
He sank to a crouch and put his head between his legs to ward off a faint. They led him over to a bench and Robin rushed to get him water.
“When we started looking into the matter,” the English Olympic member said, “a maintenance worker immediately came forward because he feared that he would lose his job if he didn’t.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie said, sitting down hard next to Steve. “I really didn’t think anything would come of this. But it’s assault, right?”
“Technically it’s battery,” the French Olympic member murmured, “but while the Olympic Community has the authority to strip Billy of his two bronze medals, we cannot do anything else because it happened in Tokyo.”
Steve shook his head. “No, no. I get it. Just knowing he’s to blame is enough. Knowing that I have answers for the first time in my life to what happened to me, is–is plenty.”
Just then Billy came storming up to them. “This all your fault, Harrington. You’ll pay for this. I’m the superior swimmer, you fucking coward.”
“So put your money where your mouth is,” Steve growled getting to his feet. “Right here, right now. You and me, 150m. They’ll judge,” he pointed to the two Olympic members. “But I am and will forever be your god.”
Robin and Eddie shared shocked glances. They both wanted to jump in and ask if Steve was sure, but Wayne put a hand on Eddie’s chest and shook his head.
Robin opened her mouth to protest, but she saw the firm lines of Steve’s jaw and knew. He had this.
“Go suit up,” the English Olympic member said with a curt nod. “I think Mr. Harrington deserves a rematch, don’t you Marie?”
The French Olympic member nodded. “Yes, Theodore, I do believe he does. I will send someone to get you the appropriate gear.”
“Steve would you mind changing in the women’s dressing room to prevent trouble?” Theodore asked.
Steve nodded. “That’s fine. It makes it easier because my assistant coach is a woman.”
The two members nodded and everyone went their separate ways, leaving Wayne and Eddie alone in the bleachers.
“I’m so worried, Uncle Wayne,” Eddie admitted as he clasped his hands together, leaning on his knees. He dropped his head between his shoulders with a heavy sigh.
“He’ll be fine,” Wayne soothed, rubbing Eddie’s back. “He needs to do this otherwise he’ll always be afraid. But if you’re so worried call Rhys.”
Eddie straightened up. “I didn’t know you were on a first name basis with Gareth’s dad.”
Wayne scoffed. “Kid, I’m on a first name basis with all your friends’ parents, considering how much trouble you lot tended to get up to.”
Eddie cocked his head to the side. “Yeah, okay that tracks.” He picked up his bag that Wayne had been holding on to.
After the incident with Jason and Billy, Eddie refused to use the lockers at all and just handed Wayne his stuff before every meet. He dug around his clothes until he found what he was looking for. His cell phone. He called up Dr. Hughes.
“Eddie!” Dr. Hughes greeted cheerfully. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
So Eddie told him.
“I’m with Wayne on this one,” he said when Eddie was done. “But I appreciate your concern was enough that you reached out. He’ll be fine. Congrats on your relationship, though.”
Eddie snorted. “Of course he told you. But yeah, thanks. We don’t know what’s going to happen going forward, but we’re going to figure it out together.”
“He didn’t tell me anything, Ed,” Dr. Hughes said with a laugh. “I’m pretty sure the whole world saw that kiss.”
Eddie blushed and shoved a strand of hair in front of his face even though Dr. Hughes couldn’t see him.
“Oh, yeah.”
“Forgot about that little tidbit?” Dr. Hughes asked, slyly.
“It was a really good kiss,” he murmured.
Dr. Hughes laughed again. “Fair enough. Tell Steve good luck for me.”
“Will do.”
Eddie nearly dropped his phone when Steve came out. It was not the Steve he knew. The man in front of him oozed confidence and charm. The man who would be king.
He trotted up to him and licked his lips. “You don’t have to do this. You know you’re better than he is.”
Steve smirked. “Oh I do, but he doesn’t.”
Eddie huffed a laugh and helped him get all his hair under the cap. Then they walked over to the starting blocks. There was space between the two that Billy and he would use. It looked as though they were taking this very seriously.
“Butterfly?” Billy sneered. “I want to beat you at your best.”
“Butterfly it is,” Steve said with a nod. He pulled his goggles on and Billy pretended to rush him, but Steve didn’t even flinch. “I’ve faced scarier things than you in the last four years, you’re nothing.”
He turned on his heel and got up on the starting block. Billy did the same, without the swagger from before. Eddie would swear for years, he saw sweat bead on Billy’s temples as they waited for the horn.
Then it went off. They both dived into the water. And instantly, Eddie could tell the difference. Not just in form, but style too.
They watched and waited as they did their laps. Steve keeping a body’s length between Billy and him. Then it was the last lap and Steve surged ahead, outstripping Billy even further.
Steve tapped the plate well before Billy did and yanked off his goggles, whooping and cheering.
“Oh my god!” Chrissy screamed.
“Steve look up!” Robin called out.
At first Eddie didn’t understand what she was screaming about. Then he spotted it. “Steve, baby. I need you to look at your time.”
Steve looked at the judges first who were in shock. Then he looked over at Billy who looked completely devastated. He finally looked up at the time clock. A new world record.
“It can’t be counted because it wasn’t an official race,” Marie said. “But if you can replicated it, you have to have to come back to the sport. Especially with a time like that.”
“Hell yeah!” Steve cheered, pulling himself out of the pool. “I’m back, baby!”
Eddie rushed over and kissed him senseless the moment he was on his feet.
“Mr. Harrington there is the small matter of being Mr. Munson’s coach,” Theodore said, pained.
Robin raised her hand. “Hold on, what is the biggest concern with an athlete/coach relationship?”
The two judges exchanged glances.
“The power imbalance,” Marie said. “And especially considering the large gap between their ages it wouldn’t be appropriate.”
“But if we take into consideration Steve’s trauma and phobias,” Robin continued, “it wouldn’t be an imbalance.”
The judges didn’t look sure, especially after that performance.
“Trauma can crop back up at any time,” Robin said, “so this doesn’t mean he’s fixed.”
“Rob!” Steve chuckled. “There’s an easier way to do this, without upsetting these good people.”
She blinked at him for a moment. “Huh?”
“You coach us both!” he said with a laugh. “If we’re peers then there can’t be a power imbalance at all!”
“Oh!”
Everyone laughed.
~
Joyce handed Robin a box in front of Max, Eddie, and Steve. She opened the box and inside was a coach’s jacket with BUCKLEY in silver and black bold letters. She tried to hold back tears as Steve helped her put it on.
“You earned it,” he whispered, before going and standing next to Eddie.
“Just one more thing before you get started,” Joyce said with a smile. “Robin has decided to also have an assistant coach. May I introduce you to Coach Cunningham.”
Chrissy stepped out of the women’s locker room with a smile and shy little wave.
“I trust there won’t be any difficulties?” Joyce asked with a raised eyebrow.
Everyone shook their heads no.
Eddie put his arm around her shoulders. “So what made you decide to become a coach?”
“I decided I wasn’t cut out for the competition racket,” she said with a grin. “Billy showed me that.”
Eddie nodded.
“Plus there’s the fact that there are no rules against dating a fellow coach.”
Eddie barked out a laugh as Robin turned bright, bright red.
Oh yeah, Chrissy was going to fit in just fine.
Steve grabbed his arm. “Come on, I’ll race you to the pool!”
Eddie threw his head back and laughed and laughed, all the while Steve took off running. He shook his head and chased his boyfriend to the pool.
Thank god for Jim Hopper.

He Won’t Know
Han Jisung x fem!reader
Best friends brother trope (Minho is your brother, Jisung is his best friend)
Warnings: lots of kissing/heavy making out, angst at the end, mood changes quickly, not so happy ending (that’s it I think?)
Word Count: 1.8k (a little over)
Summary: You had fallen for your brother's roommate/best friend, Jisung, and it was getting harder to hide it. You’d managed to suppress your feelings for him but his constant flirting and need to get you flustered didn’t help. You had to spend the week at their dorm due to your roommates lack of spacial awareness, giving you unexpected alone time with Jisung. Will he be able to win you over or will your brother get in the way?
P.S. this is NOT proofread so please lmk if there’s any warnings I missed or spelling/grammar mistakes. Okay now go enjoy the story :)
———————
Your brother Minho shared a dorm with his best friend Jisung. You often spent the night there because your crazy roommate was either always yelling at someone over the phone or had a guy over at the late hours of the night. She had no spacial awareness and constantly left her things all over the kitchen, bathroom and living room.
Most nights you could handle your roommates obnoxious and incredibly annoying nature but some nights, like tonight, you just couldn’t take it anymore.
Your roommate was yelling at her “friend” over the phone and you could hear her from the down the hall. You repeatedly told her to be quiet because you were running on two hours of sleep and had an exam early in the morning and needed some good rest but she just yelled at you and slammed the door in your face. You pulled out your phone and called Minho. It barely made it past the first ring when he picked up.
“Y/n is everything okay?”
You let out a long sigh, “No, everything’s not okay.”
“What happened?”
Although, you hadn’t mentioned your roommate, Minho already had a pretty clear idea of why you were calling.
“I really hate to ask this but…” you paused for a moment unsure if you should continue. You wanted to ask to stay the week so you could get some sleep for your upcoming exams but you felt like you’d be a bother to them for staying that long. After all, you’ve never stayed more than one night. “Can I stay at your place for… the week? I know I’ve never stayed that long but my roommate is being so disrespectful. You don’t have to say yes, I don’t want to bother you guys.”
Minho chuckled humorlessly, taking you a bit by surprise.
“You’ve never been a bother, Y/n. We wouldn’t let you stay over if you were.”
“Are you sure it’s okay?”
“Y/n, don’t make me go down there and pack your stuff for you,” he playfully threatened. “Because you know I will.”
You giggled to yourself, “Yeah, you totally would. Okay, uh… give me a few minutes then I’ll head over.”
“Be safe and call me when you get here so I can come down and get you,” Minho said.
You hummed in response and ended the call.
You let out a relieved sigh as you headed to your room to pack your bag.
—————
You arrived outside Minho and Jisung’s dorm building, your finger hovering over Minho’s contact. You stared at your phone for a while, feeling a bit nervous now that you were there.
You were caught off guard when you got a text message.
Jisung: I can see you standing outside. You don’t need to be nervous, jagi ;).
You looked up from your phone and saw Jisung sitting on the window frame, looking down at you from his bedroom window. The nickname gave you butterflies but you fought them back as you typed a response.
You: lol I’m not nervous.
Jisung: you’ve been standing there for five minutes… I’d say you’re nervous.
You playfully rolled your eyes at him then headed towards the building. You raised your hand to knock on the door but it opened before you could make contact.
“You got telepathy or something?” You questioned as you looked at Minho.
“Maybe…” he replied rubbing the back of his neck, “Hurry up and get settled in it’s already pretty late.”
You walked in and set your stuff down by the couch. You usually sleep on the couch when you spend the night since the dorm doesn’t have a spare room.
“I’d stay out here with you for a bit but I have an early morning,” Minho said letting out a deep breath.
You looked up from your bags and gave him a tired, reassuring smile, “It’s okay. Go and get your rest.”
Minho gave you one last comforting smile before wandering off to his room. You scavenged your pajamas out of your bag and headed for the bathroom. You changed into your pajamas and opened the door to leave when you were met with Jisung directly outside the door.
You swear your heart skipped a beat as you made eye contact with him.
“Hey…” you whispered a little startled.
“Hey,” Jisung said with a soft smile. He looked you up and down and you shifted from the spot you were standing in. He let out a soft chuckle and a smirk before commenting, “Cute pajamas.”
“Oh- uh thank you,” you replied back a little more flustered than you wanted. He was almost chest to chest with you now and you held your breath.
“Minho told me you’re staying for a week? Is it that bad with your roommate?”
For such a simple statement, his tone was low and sultry, taking you a bit by surprise. Your words were caught in your throat for a moment as you looked up at him. You knew he knew what he was doing to you but you refused to give in.
“Y-yeah it is… I should just live here at this point,” You half-joked.
“Hm, I’m not opposed to it,” Jisung mused leaning impossibly closer.
You didn’t know what to say after that. His body was leaned up against yours now and his lips were inches from yours. You didn’t know how it got to this point but all you wanted to do was kiss him and he knew it. He smirked at your flustered state before closing the gap between you.
The kiss was slow but sloppy, making you melt into him. He placed his hands on your hips and you wrapped your arms around his neck. He squeezed your hips causing you to gasp and he took the opportunity to slide his tongue into your mouth. You moaned into the kiss as his tongue danced around your mouth. His hands slid down to the back of your thighs and squeezed, lifting you up and placing you on the bathroom counter. He broke from the kiss and trailed kisses from your cheek to you jawline, making his way down to your neck. He sucked and licked at your neck and you moaned at the new sensation.
You covered your mouth suddenly remembering that your brother was in the room next door. You knew how wrong this was, even though it felt so good.
“Ji… mmh wait,” you breathed out trying to contain your whimpers. He broke off from your neck and admired the purple mark that was starting to form.
“We can’t- we shouldn’t do this,” you continued.
“Why not, jagi?”
“It’s not right.”
Jisung pressed his tongue against his cheek and let out a breath of air, “It’s because you’re my best friends sister, right?”
You didn’t know what to say. Partially because you didn’t know what he meant from the tone in his statement.
“Ji, it’s not a bad thing but… you know my brother won’t take this well.”
He sighed looking down, “I know, I know. This-” he points his finger between you two, “is forbidden.”
“How I hate unspoken rules…” you mumbled.
Silence fell between the two of you and Jisung nuzzled his face into your neck. He let out a deep breath that you didn’t realize he was holding as you wrapped your arms around his neck, stroking his hair with your hands soothingly. You stayed like that for a few moments before Jisung broke the silence.
“He doesn’t have to find out you know,” his voice was muffled from his face still being buried in your neck.
“What…? What are you implying?” You say furrowing your brows.
Jisung lifted his head from your shoulders to look you in your eyes. His expression was needy but hopeful, like he wanted this to work with you. All those times he flirted with you might of actually meant something. Part of you thought his flirty comments and actions was just for his own entertainment and not because he actually felt something for you.
“I want to be with you. Like really bad. All my flirty comments… they weren’t just to make you flustered.”
He laughed to himself and grinned, “I mean bonus if they did.”
You softly laughed at his comment. Then it hit you. He wanted to be with you and he was serious. You hadn’t realize you had gone quiet.
“Can you please say something?” He whispered, his eyes flickering to look at your lips.
“I… I wanna be with you too, Ji.” You paused shifting on the counter a little.
“You don’t seem like you want it.” His gaze softened and you frowned at his disappointment.
“No I do, I do. It’s just-” you were suddenly cut off by a loud, shocked voice.
“What the fuck?!”
You both turned your heads to find Minho standing in the door way, mouth opened in shock. Jisung immediately ripped away from you as you jumped off the counter top. Jisung started fumbling over his words.
“M-Minho it’s not what it looks like-”
“Really? You’re gonna tell me that after the position I just saw you two in?” Minho retorted taking a step towards him.
“Minho just hear us out,” you chimed in.
“You know what, no,” Minho threw his hands up in surrender, “I don’t want to hear it. This is-” He paused for a second then looked at Jisung causing him to take a step back, “That’s my fucking sister.”
Before either of you could say anything else, Minho turned around to leave, slamming his bedroom door. You and Jisung stood in the bathroom in silence, shocked from the situation. The air became thin and suddenly you couldn’t handle being in the same room as him. You thought coming here would fix your problems but trouble just seemed to follow you here.
“We should talk this out in the morning…” you whispered, your voice slightly cracking.
“Jagi please-”
“Ji, can we please just talk about this in the morning.” You sighed, not wanting to think about the situation further.
Jisung lowered his head with a frown, “Yeah… yeah we can do that.”
You nodded and left the bathroom, leaving Jisung alone.
Author’s Note: The amount of times I rewrote this ending is INSANE. I eventually just gave up so sorry for the semi-abrupt ending. I can attempt a part 2 later… maybe 😐

A/N: Hi there! Thank you so much for commissioning, it means a whole lot. I want to let you know that with this commission you not only made me happy but the anon who requested the first and second story was VERY happy about it. Hope you enjoy it!
Movie night
Minotaur (Ambrose) x chubby fem!reader || pet play, edging, cock-warming, degradation, humiliation (light), size kink, dirty talk
You were just walking through the living room when Ambrose called you over. “Come here,” he ordered.
You looked at him confused, you were busy, you had the basket on your arms, couldn’t he see that? “What? I have laundry to do,” you told him, your brain focusing on a thousand different things you had to do.
“You look stressed. I’ll do it later, come here,” he repeated, this time with more force behind his words. There was a spark of desire in his eyes, and your knees were already turning jelly just by being stared like that.
“But laundry…” You tried to argue, but already setting the basket down as you walked towards him.
“Are you trying to be a brat right now, sunshine?” He teased, his hands grabbing your hips when you were close enough, dragging you to his body until you were pressed firmly against his hard chest.
“I- Not really. Should I?” You were extra confused, your brain was a bit overwhelmed, too much stuff to do, too much work.
“You are completely oblivious to the world, you know that?” He told you, his face soft and tender. “Now, now. You are going to be a good pet and sit on my cock as we watch a movie and relax,” he put emphasis on that last part and you blushed. His words made your pussy tingle, instantly reacting to the prospect of getting fucked.
“And what if I don’t want to?” You responded, your inner brat raising to attention instantly. You tried to play cheeky and hard to get, but both of you knew you were down hard for his cock.
He chuckled, kissing your forehead in a tender gesture. It was such a contrast with his sexy attitude that you were thrown off for a second. “Then we’ll do it either way but you’d be wearing a gag during. And I know how much you like to talk during movies, sunshine.”
You did like to comment stuff, but you were about to talk back just because you knew there was no way you were going to focus enough in the movie to comment shit. If you sat on his cock, you would only be thinking about him inside of you, you didn’t even care what movie he chose. But bratting came before cock.
“A gag? Really? Weak…” You said, your eyes traveling down his body and fixating on his cock. You tried to grab it, but he stopped you midair, laughing.
“Ts, ts, ts… Such a bad pet. I’m going to fuck the brat out of you,” he promised.
“Bring it, Ambrose,” you dared.
He moved so fast you barely registered it, but before you could process it, you were naked and he tore off your soaked panties. “Open,” he ordered as you pressed your lips together. He chuckled and grabbed your face, pressing against your cheeks until you opened your mouth and he stuffed your broken panties inside. “Now you look a lot better, like the slut you are.” You shivered at his words. You blushed, trying to look down in embarrassment, your pussy tingling with its own heartbeat.
He manhandled you until you were sitting back against his erection, your back to his front, facing the TV. He didn’t let you move, he only pressed down your pussy against his dick, entering you slowly, so, so slowly you were a mess by the time he was only halfway in.
You begged and cried out his name, asking for more, but he only chuckled, slapping your ass cheek hard. You were so focused on the sting on your ass, you gagged around the panties when he lowered you in one go, burying himself to the hilt. Your cries were muffled by the fabric in your mouth, and your drool was making them a mess. He felt so big inside of you, always so big... your eyes rolled back into your head.
“You are so eager to be a slut, aren’t you, pet? You were begging to be filled and now that you got what you asked for, you are only drooling over your gag. What a pathetic little pet.” His tone was harsh and degrading, making your whole body burn with desire and pent up frustration. You wanted to bounce back, to move your hips, but he was holding you still. “Be a good pet and stay still as I put on the movie,” he ordered.
But as soon as he removed his hands from your hips to reach for the remote, you pulled up and down in a fast swallow pace, rolling your lips and groaning around the panties in your mouth. It felt so good… But you didn’t get much fun before he slapped your ass so hard you jumped on his lap, making both of you groan at the movement.
“You couldn’t help yourself, could you? Such a greedy little slut wanting to get fucked more than she wants to obey…” You whined at his words, trying to move your hips again. “I said no. Now, stay still, you like this movie.”
And just like that he was holding you to his body, unable to move even a fraction as he watched the movie and commented some of the parts he liked. You tried to focus on his words, on the movie… But you couldn’t. You could only feel his big cock inside your pussy, stretching you to almost your limit. You could feel his heartbeat inside of you, the pressure of his shaft against your G-spot…
You were going mad with pent up need.
Halfway though the movie, he put his hand around your neck and pulled your head back until he could stare into your eyes. “Now, now, sunshine… Do you think you deserve to come?” You nodded vehemently, tears filling your eyes as every little word out of his mouth moved his body so very lightly that you could feel it inside of you. “Awww, such a pathetic little pet all eager to cum, such a slutty human for my minotaur cock.” A single tear left your eye and he licked it off, laughing at your reaction. “Okay, pet, you deserve an orgasm. You are going to take those little fingers and rub your pretty clit until you are coming around me. If you move your hips or try to fuck yourself on my cock there will be consequences, are we clear?” You nodded, and he took pity on you and pulled the soaked panties out of your mouth. “Words, sunshine.”
“Yes. Yes. Please, anything, Ambrose, please… I’ve been good, please.” You were incoherent, your need to come so big you couldn’t form any thoughts away from it.
He kissed the side of your head and guided your hand to your dripping pussy. “Such a pretty pussy, so wet and gushing for me…”
You started a frantic pace, rubbing your clit until you were on the edge of an orgasm. You almost thought he was going to stop you from reaching it, but you had been good, you had been still as he watched the movie… You rubbed faster, getting yourself there in less than a minute.
You came around him as he grunted, your pussy convulsing around his length still buried inside of you. You lost control of your body, thrashing against him as he embraced you against his chest.
When you came back to the land of the living, he pressed you tighter against his chest, holding you still as he started fucking up to your oversensitive pussy. You cried out, it was too much, too raw, but he didn’t care. And your brain was melting because of the pleasure.
“Take it. Take it like the good slut you are. I’m going to breed you so deeply you are going to be leaking for days,” he grunted against your ear, making you see stars behind your closed eyes as you moaned his name. “I love when you moan my name like that, so fucked out, your pussy is so tight and wet… made for me.”
His words drove you into another dimension, your second orgasm hitting you like a tidal wave as he groaned your name against your ear, his hips pistoning in and out of you like a madman as you came around him. By the time he released his cum inside of you, you had come two more times and your body couldn’t hold itself anymore. You were pliant against his chest as he filled you to the brim.
“Well, now we know I can fuck the brat out of you,” he joked as you melted against his body, sleep claiming you.

DUST OF US #DRABBLE - JUNGKOOK THINKS YOU HATE HIM

MAIN STORY HERE.
*french writer, i apologize in advance for my awful english!
AGE: 17 years old.
You have become distant over the last few weeks. Jungkook has grown accustomed to having you around constantly: at lunchtime, in class, and even walking home together. But it’s been two or three weeks since you’ve started avoiding him, finding excuses.
At first, he didn’t say much—maybe you were really busy. But then he caught you with other friends. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t hurt. Over the past year, everything in his life had improved with you in it. But now, he feels like he’s bothering you every time he tries to talk. The worst part is that you keep talking to Jimin, even having lunch with him—but not Jungkook.
“I don’t understand…” Jungkook mumbles, stabbing his bowl of rice with his chopsticks as he gazes at you from afar, sitting with your friend Hyesun. You seem so happy, laughing at something she said, oblivious to his gaze when you could usually spot him anywhere. “Did I say something wrong?” he asks Jimin, who tilts his head to look at you too, sighing.
“We never know what that girl has in her mind,” Jimin says, chewing his food. “It’s not you, Kookie. You’re the kindest guy I know.”
“Then why is she avoiding me?” Jungkook frowns, making Jimin sigh and taking a sip of his water.
“Maybe she figured out that you’re madly in love with her and doesn’t feel the same?” Jimin suggests. Jungkook freezes at the words, feeling his cheeks burn.
“I’m not— I don’t have feelings for her…” He mumbles, his gaze dropping to his tray.
“Oh please”, Jimin rolls his eyes, putting down his chopsticks. “You’re a sap for her. You buy her favorite snacks, wait for her after class even when yours ended two hours earlier, and you even go to the library with her. You never stepped foot in that place before meeting her.”
“I’m just a good friend.” Jungkook frowns, trying to deny Jimin’s words.
“You turned down every girl who hit on you this year, Kookie.” Jimin arches a brow as Jungkook whines, throwing his head back, before hiding his face in his hands. He knows that Jimin is right. He hates that Jimin can read him like an open book.
“Do you really think… She’s avoiding me because of that?” Jungkook asks quietly, his face still buried in his hands. Jimin sighs, staring at his friend.
He’s been following the development of your friendship since the start. Gently, Jimin wraps his fingers around Jungkook’s wrist and pulls his hands down.
“Hey,” Jimin says softly, “She’d be stupid to avoid you just for that. You’re a great guy, Kookie. A little slow and dumb, but not in a bad way.” He teases with a smirk, making Jungkook smile slightly.
“I don’t want to lose her. If she doesn’t feel the same way, it’s okay. I can deal with a little heartbreak. But not… not having her in my life.” Jungkook admits, and Jimin’s lips curve in a soft smile. “I’ll talk to her.”
Taking a deep breath, Jungkook wipes his hands on his pants. He’s been standing outside your door for fifteen minutes. He was full of courage on the way to your building, but now it's slowly crumbling. What’s he supposed to say? Are you avoiding me because I’m in love with you? He cringes at the thought. No, he can’t say that. Exhaling softly, he knocks at your door before he could chicken out.
Your father opens the door, his slight frown shifting into a smile. He knows Jungkook. He actually loves Jungkook; he is a respectful and well-mannered.
“What’s up, son?” Your father grins as Jungkook swallows hardly, his hands sweaty. He discreetly wipes them again.
“Hello sir. Is… Y/N here?” He asks with a small voice.
“Come in, she’s in her room.” His father nods, stepping aside as Jungkook bows politely before entering. Once his shoes are off, he heads to your room. Your door is open, you’re lying on the floor, humming a song and drawing in your notebook.
You sit up and frown when you see Jungkook standing in your doorframe, still outside the room, because he didn’t have time to knock. You always seem to sense his presence whenever he's near. He called it your ‘spider-sense’.
“Kook?” You ask, getting up clumsily, feeling awkward. “What are you doing here?”
“I… uh… I need to talk to you.” He mumbles as you walk over, gesturing for him to come in before looking outside at your father, who’s smirking at you. You roll your eyes and close the door behind you.
“I’m kinda busy,” you say, avoiding his gaze, with your hands on your hips. “Make it quick.”
Jungkook's heart clenches painfully at the way you're acting. He hates it. He misses you.
“Y/N…” He starts, tilting his head to force you to look at him. “Are you avoiding me?”
“What— No!” You immediately shake your head.
“Please, don’t… sugarcoat it. If you don’t want to be friends anymore, that’s okay. But just tell me. I’ll respect your decision, but—"
“I’m not avoiding you, Kook!” You sigh, your stomach twisting uncomfortably.
“We haven't had a real conversation in weeks. You have time for everyone but me. You can’t even look at me right now.” He frowns as you finally lift your eyes from your feet to meet his gaze. “You know what? Sorry, it was stupid of me to bother you. I get it.” He clenches his jaw and steps back, turning toward the door.
He needs to get out fast. Jungkook has always been emotional. He can’t help it. The last thing he wants is for you to see him cry over this. He knows you wouldn’t judge him. But it still hurts.
“What do you want me to say?” You bark, fists clenched at your sides as you stare at the back of his neck. You hate his chestnut haircut—you’ve told him multiple times. But that didn't stop you from falling for that idiot.
Your words make him freeze, his fingers still on the doorknob. He stares at the chipped paint of your door, unsure what to do, waiting for you to continue.
“I…” you start, shaking your head. “This is stupid.”
“You what?” He asks, not moving. But when you don’t reply, he nods, his grip tightening on the doorknob. “Alright…” He sighs, ready to leave.
“I like you.” You say in one breath, scared that if he crosses the threshold, you’ll never see him again. The confession sends a shiver down his spine. When he turns to face you, you're looking away, frowning— probably angry because you don't understand this new feeling. “Laugh at me all you want. I can’t help it.” You mutter, jaw clenched.
But Jungkook doesn’t want to laugh. His features soften as he watches you.
“Why would I?” He almost whispers, stepping closer. “Why would I?” He repeats, tilting his head to make you meet his gaze.
“Because you’re popular, and you can have any girls you want. Why would you care about someone who looks and acts like a boy?” You reply, making him chuckle softly. He pulls you into a warm hug, your breath shaky, but you stay still.
“I don’t care about them,” He murmurs, his warm breath brushing your ear as he tightens his arms around you, his nose grazing the skin of your shoulder. “I like you,” he says, and his words make you freeze for a second before you start laughing nervously. You bury your face in the crook of his neck, your arms wrapping shyly around his frame.
A huge weight lifts off your heart, and you feel lighter.
“Let me take you on a date,” he offers, pulling back as you shake your head, amused.
“A date?” You ask as he hums, wiping away a lonely tear from your cheek— the last remnant of your fear of losing him because of feelings you thought were unrequited.
“Well… I don’t have the money for something fancy, but I know you like tteokbokki.” He adds with an amused smile, his hands resting on your shoulders as you nod. “If I want you to be my girlfriend, I’ll better woo you properly, right?”

Arcane Imagines- Vander
It’s Quiet
⚠️WARNING🔞: SMUTTTT IF THERE WAS EVER SMUT
[arcane] [main page]
Prompt: it’s grown so quiet since the kids have grown… (not requested, did this at my own free will. Also happy universe WITH VI because I can do that.)
Containing: thigh riding, multiple orgasms, fem!receiving oral, male!receiving oral, hike position, voyeurism, exhibitionism, praise, slight degradation.
“And that’s the last drunk of the evening.” You wipe your hands together after slamming down your rag on one of the tables you had just finished cleaning, going over to the door to turn the open sign to closed. Vander chuckles, cheering as he washes the last few glasses. You go behind the counter to join him in wiping everything down since it gets pretty sticky especially behind the bar.
“Gosh it’s been so busy these last few days.” You huff, putting your body into the scrubbing. Feeling all the sweat that drenched your back, neck and face. You felt disgusting to say the least. “Mm yeah but think about that early retirement.” He jokes causing you to laugh in response. “So true!” You perk up, glancing behind you, his eyes already locking with yours.
He places his glass down and scrummages over to you. His hands snaked around your waist. “You’re so beautiful.” He kisses the back of your head. You would normally lean into his touch but the sweat that enveloped all over you. You swiftly move away from him by turning around and taking his arms off of you. “I feel gross, babe.” You shake your head at his intentions.
“How come? You look ravishing.” His eyes darken along with his voice that laced with lust. “I’m so sweaty.” You whine, walking out from the bar to sit on one of the stools. “I feel like I just got dragged through mud.” You muster out, finally getting to sit down for the first time in 12 hours that day.
“You’d still be the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on covered in dirt head to toe.” He leans over the bar as you scoff, rolling your eyes at his cheesy choice of words. “It’s the truth.” He puts his hands up in defense. You sigh. “I would like a shower first.” You mumble.
He observes you as your eyes wander around the building seeing if there was anything else for you to do before the both of you chose to go home. “It’s so quiet in here.” You suddenly mention the lack of noise. “Well it’s just the two of us in here.” He shrugs his shoulders. You give him a dirty look. “I mean the fact that there’s no little Powder running around here with Ekko. No Mylo antagonizing his siblings. Claggor just being along for the ride. Violet attempting to show Mylo how to flirt.” You explain with sadness traced in your tone of voice.
“Hmph,” He snorted out a laugh remembering the children as young teenagers. “They were something.” He shakes his head. “I miss them living with us.” You pout, he groans at your words knowing what is going to be next. The both of you took the children in young. Felicia has Vi and Powder quite young. Being only 18 with little Violet and 23 with Powder.
Vander’s the same age as Felicia as you were two years younger than the both of them. You didn’t meet them until after Violet was two years old. Now Vi is 23 and Powder is 18. You are now 39 and Vander is 41.
“I’m just saying! I don’t have much time!” You exclaim, grasping at his hand, practically begging for a child. “Zaun is good, better than it ever has been. Let’s dooo ittttt.” You bounce your legs for extra effect in pleads. “Love, you’ve never wanted children of your own. Why now?” He raises his brows, now fully enclasping your hand with both of his.
Your stomach flutters at the size difference between the both of you. You could never get over it, not even with the nearly 20 years of being with one another. “I just,” you frown before continuing. “With the children being older and like I mentioned it being quiet… I want someone to depend on me again. Those sweet little eyes as they ask me to help them.” Your face grows sour, tears stinging at the brim of your eyes. “This could be my last chance to have that. And you’ve never wondered what our baby would look like?” You ask him with puppy-dog eyes. “I miss the old times. Not just with the kids.” You mutter.
“Of course I have, but if that’s how you feel, love… I’m sorry to tell you but I just can’t give you that. A baby with the way we work. And if you need someone to depend on you, I’ll be that for you. I’ll ask for more help, meaning like little things at home that I know you miss doing.” He massages your hand, kissing at it a few times. You purse out your lips, knowing he was right.
“Are you okay?” He tilts his head, a few strands of hair falling in his face. You nod your head, not verbally responding though. He lets go of your hand and joins you on the stools. “I’m sorry you’re upset, my love. I never want to see your lips fall downwards.” He pulls you onto his lap and you look into his eyes.
“I’ll be okay, I guess I’ll just have to be patient until we are blessed with grandchildren.” Your head falls against his chest, wrapping your arms around his large torso. “Hopefully that’s not anytime soon.” Vander smacks your thigh and you snicker.
“Yeah, yeah.” You smile, you always loved how protective he was over your guys’ family. You feel your arousal thicken in your gut. Feeling needier.
You have to remind yourself that you need to take a shower first. That’s what you told yourself. Even though your husband definitely does not care about you being sweaty. You care.
We could always… pretend like I’m going to give you children.” He whispers in your ear, your body tensing up. It’s like he felt your pussy flutter for him even though you both wore thick clothing and it wasn’t possible. “Mmm, that’s an idea.” You watch his thick, large hand sliding up and down the outside of your thigh. “Gonna let me do it right here, right now? Just like the old days?” He questions, he was breathing heavily down your neck causing the hairs there to stand up at the feeling.
“Remember how we’d pretend there were people still. Go behind that counter and I’d fuck you from behind as you ‘took someone’s order.’ huh?” He knows all the right buttons to push when it comes to you. He knew what you couldn’t resist. He knew how to get you riled up like no one else.
Your face was flushed as he reminded you of those moments you had before you even took the children in. That was such a long time ago you were surprised he remembered. “How ‘bout we try that out again?” He nibbles at the tip of your ear causing you to whine.
“Van- shower first. I told you.” You rub yourself against him, spite of what you were saying. “You were just saying how you miss old times… Let me help you relive a few things.” His fingers now dipping in between your legs. The seam of the jeans you wore were sitting in the right place too. It was too much.
“Please~” You moan, gripping onto his forearm that held your form. “Please what?” He asks.
“I-I need you.” You moved yourself so you were now sitting on one of his thighs. Looking right into his grey orbs. “What about that shower though?” He teases you, watching you ride against him. Only to pleasure yourself. How selfish. “Fuck the shower.” You grab him by the back of his neck, forcing him into a deep kiss.
He laughs into the kiss, amused by how turned on you got just by his words. He knew you too well.
You go to stop your hips so you could get up but he stops you. “Uh-uh, ride my leg until you cum, love.” He holds your hips down. You give him a pout. “Do it or I'll have the night end right here and we can just go to that shower and right to bed.” It was an empty threat. You knew that but listened to him nonetheless. Your pelvis planting down on him. You roll back and forth on him.
“Fuck, love. You’re so gorgeous.” He coos, getting your hair out of your face. You pant as you focus on reaching your high, hearing his words only drenching your already soaked cunt. Going right through those jeans of yours and onto his black slacks.
Your hands were grabbing onto the top of his thigh, close to his cock that twitched as it was trapped underneath his now tight pants. Just begging to be free. “I- hah!” You grunted, squeezing your thighs against his. “What is it? What do you have to say?” He inquires with a hint of mocking you.
“Mmngg, I want to kiss you!” You breathe out, eyes squeezed shut due to how determined you were to release on your husband's enormous muscled thigh.
“What’s the magic word?” His hand goes to your neck, pressing lightly. “Mean, ‘s mean,” you whimper. “Not the answer.” He tsks, bouncing his knee a little bit to throw you off. You cry out, hands flailing to his shirt. Clutching it tightly in between your fingers.
“Please let me kiss you, please! I just want to kiss my husband.” You sob, opening your eyes for him to see how much you needed it. He thinks for a moment but decides to give you what you want.
The hold on your neck only gets tighter as his lips embrace yours. He bites at your lip producing a gasp out of you so he can roughly stick his tongue in your mouth. His tongue battling against yours. You didn’t even try as he had already invaded your muzzle, exploring it like it was his home.
As you feel yourself get closer you weigh down further onto him, your hips at a lively, unyielding pace. You pull away as your attention needs to go back to your own core. His hand on your throat now gripping, helping you even more. The tension in your chest and head growing. “Fuck.” It was almost inaudible exiting past your lips.
“Mhm, you can do it. My wife is so persistent. Such a hell-bent little thing.” He purrs in your ear. “Hah! Mmm.” You groan out, holding his wrist that clutched at your pretty open neck.
And then that explosion of fireworks in your tummy at last comes. Your hole creaming, joining your arousal juices. Only wetting yours and your husbands pants
His hand breaks free from your airway, allowing you to breathe once more. You pant heavily against him. “Shit.” Your legs shake underneath you. “You have fun there?” He pokes at you, you glare up at him. “Shut up.” You spit, weakly standing up.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Vander raises a brow, grabbing your waist, stopping you from crouching down. “I-I’m going to give you a blow job?” You said in more of a inquisitive tone, confused on how it’s not obvious. “I never said I was done with you.” He stands up from the stool, lifting you up with ease. You yelp from the sudden move.
He places you on the counter. “I’d like dinner first.” Even being on a tall bar counter he was still wavering over you. “Where people drink?!” You utter out, reminding him what people do on this very countertop. “I’ll clean it up. No one will ever know.” He rolls his eyes.
Before you could even argue with him his hands are back on you. You subconsciously lift your hips up helping him undress you. “Never get over the sight of this cute girl.” He compliments your pussy. Your thighs squish together, hiding yourself only to be pried back open.
Your hands were behind you to keep yourself fully propped up. “This position isn’t really comfortable, Vannie.” You mewl, the top of your tailbone was slightly hurting. “I’ll have to make this fast then won’t I?” He asks, not even looking up at your face as he sits back down. Sliding your butt as close to the edge of the counter as possible.
He adjusted the chair so he was at face level with that pretty little pussy.
His face diving in but not doing anything so he can take in your scent. Feeling like a feral animal. You would’ve been embarrassed by this if he hadn’t done it almost every day for the past 20 years. You rest your legs over his shoulders, ankles crossed over one another, trapping his head at your core.
“Stop teasing, Vander.” You sternly tell him, glaring down at him since he decided he was going to take his time. His dilated pupils lift upwards, mouth hovering over your clit. “Is that any way to talk to your dear partner who only wants to take care of you?” He asks, his facial hair tickling you down there.
You lay your back down on the cold wood. Ignoring him.
He snickers, now kitten licking at your clit. Toying with it until he hears the squelch after a few more. His tongue swirls around the nub, kissing it every now and then. His strategy was purely for his own enjoyment. Your moans filled the building, echoing and bouncing off the walls.
“Imagine we didn’t lock the door.” He comments. “Imagine someone walks in thinking we’re open. And you’re getting eaten out right in front of them.” His mouth reattaching to your cunny.
Ambushing every nerve with pleasure.
“Fuck! I ho-pe someone doesss!” Your hands go down to his hair, pulling out the bun. “Yeah, you’d like the attention.” He mumbles into you, the vibration shooting through you.
“Mhm… mhm!” Your chest jolts upwards as his tongue swipes over your sensitive spot. “I n-need your fiiingers!” You wail, playing with his hair so you have something to pull on. Not having anything else around you.
Your head was upside down off the other side of the counter. “Need ‘em where, love?” He irritatingly asks you. “I-inside! Inside!’ You squeal out, toes scrunching and your calves stretching out at the same time.
His right hand joins his mouth, entering a single digit into that drenching, achy hole.
His cock screaming to be let free now. His pre-cum drooling onto his boxers.
You clench around the single but large finger. He enters another before pumping them in and out. Curling every so often to hit that perfect spot inside. Your moans and whines keeping him going. His jaw was certainly going to be locked after this.
He says random compliments you can’t even understand against your pussy. You didn’t even care enough to hear anyways. Feeling his mouth along with his fingers abusing you.
“I- how? Fuck!” You scratch as his scalp, bringing one of your hands to your shirt, ripping the buttons off to open it. You had a few others.
You own hand kneads at your breasts. “C’mon, make me cum, make me cum!” You pant, chest heaving rapidly. “Almost there?” He watches you grope yourself. He leers gleefully. “Fuck yes!” You nod your head only to let it fall back down off the counter.
His fingers fucking your skillfully, your cunt splashing liquid on him along with the floor.
“Close ‘s close!” You grit through your teeth, rolling your hips on his face, bringing him closer to you with the back of your calf. Shoving his head onto you.
“O-ooohh… mmmm….” It hits you softer than the first time surprisingly, but your cunny still spurts into Vander’s mouth. Your thighs shake against his head, your feet dropping tiredly. “That was so good, love. So proud of you.” He kisses your soft skin, lifting your thighs off of him letting your legs fall on either side of him.
You breathe heavily, now feeling all the blood that rushed to your head from it being upside down. You sit yourself up, using your husband's shoulders to keep you from slipping forward. He undoes his belt, unbuttoning his pants to take his cock out. Still keeping his clothes up though.
“C’mere.” He huffs out a laugh, standing up so you can wrap your legs around his waist. His hands are squeezing at the plush skin of your ass.
He takes you to the inside of the bar, his cockhead poked at your entrance with each step. “Tired girl?” He hums out a question. You shake your head, disagreeing. “No, want more.” You rasp out. Humping your hips downwards against his dick.
“Need you to help me first, prove how much you want me to fuck you.” He ambushes your neck with his licked lips. “I’ll do anything.” You whisper.
“Good, here comes the guy who brings our stock.” Vander smirks, your eyes widen and you drop to the ground, hiding under the counter even though he already couldn’t see you by being down there. Vander steps as close as possible to you, his chest against the wood.
His cock was free game to you. “Heyy Mick!” Vander cheerfully grins, not feeling you touch him just yet. He also knew that your pants and little panties were laid out on the ground, available for Mick to see.
“Hey, hey, hey!” Mick comes into the bar with a dollie of alcohol boxes. “Where’s the wife?” He asks, coming over to the counter. “Oh, she’s a little bit under… the weather tonight.” Vander lies.
Your heart was raising at the fact that there was now another person in the bar after you had just came twice. Your view trapped in darkness besides the little bit of light that snuck past your husband's legs. His dick still sprung out for you to play with.
Your pussy clenches around nothing, another realization that your pants were where you two once were moments ago. You silently prayed that Mick didn’t notice it. Your husband’s and your guys’ stocker’s conversation was tuned out. You couldn't focus on anything that was happening.
Besides the fact that you were going to now get revenge on the person in front of you. Your hands go around his thick member. Dry rubbing him at first. You hear his hiss and you smile mischievously. Your thumb swiping across the slit covered in Vander’s own goo.
Your hands let him go, as Vander talks his shoulders dropped disappointed only momentarily before your mouth replaces where your hands once were. He bites his lip trying not to show his expressions.
Your muzzle takes him in all the way, nose almost touching his pelvic zone. You let him go before you gag, sucking on his tip. Your hand massages the base of his cock.
You hear his voice falter just a tiny bit. “Where do you want them tonight, boss?” Mick asks, talking about the boxes of glass bottles filled with booze. “Just on the counter, Claggor and Mylo are opening in the morning. Gonna have them stock up.” Vander chuckles. Doing his best not to let his voice waver in the slightest. You tried your damnedest too.
“Arighty.” Mick lifts the boxes up, continuing to talk to the owner of the bar, not knowing he was getting his dick sucked so good his knees were about to give out.
Your other hand began to fondle his balls, now all three stimulates attacking him at once. Vander lets out a low grunt that luckily wasn’t heard from either of the people in the building.
“I gotta get going, now. Good seeing ya! Hope to see [Name] next week!” Mick kicks out his dollie, rolling it out as Vander waves him goodbye.
And as that door shuts, his mouth opens, letting out all the noises he couldn’t before. “Fuck, I almost had to shout at him to leave.” Vander groans, taking a fist full of your hair to fuck himself into your mouth. You moved your hand out of the way, grabbing onto his thigh for support.
“Shit, such a doll for me.” He drags your mouth down his member before pulling you away by your hair. He steps back. “Stand up.” He motions. You crawl out from your spot, standing up before him.
“Turn around.” He spins his pointer finger.
He watches your ass jiggle with each step, his hands roughly bend you over. Your hands hitting the floor. “Need this.” He puffs out, shoving his dick inside your hole without warning.
“So perfect for me, after all these years. It’s like the first time all over again.” He ruts into you forcefully. Your fingernails claw at the ground as he fucks into you at an unfathomable pace.
“Take it like the fucking champ you are.” He smacks your ass causing you to scream out a moan. “Fucking you stupid, ain’t I?” He laughs, holding your hips. Each time you try to lift your torso up he rams into you, watching you fall back down each time. It was amusing. He enjoyed it every single time.
“I asked you a question.” He slaps your ass again.
“Y-yes! ‘Stupid, ‘s ‘stupid!” You cry out, your head shaking side to side as tears brim your eyelids. “Gonna cum again!” You shrill.
“Yeah you are.” He pants, finally helping you up by bending down to grab you by your neck. Your back up against his stomach. “Who’s making you cum for the third time?” He asks, your ass bouncing back on his black slacks. There were white splatters all over his pants from tonight. “Y-you a-re!” You seeth, sucking in your own drool.
“What’s my name?” He tightens his grip on your throat, you gasp out for air. Not able to answer as fast as he wants you to. His cock pistoning in and out of you.
“What’d I ask?” His other hand holds your lower stomach, the pressure now pressing on his cock through your tummy. “I- u-um! V-vander!” You choke out. “That’s right, doll.” He lets go of your neck but still keeping you close as he continues to fuck you.
“Gonna fuck my seed into you, maybe there’s a chance you’ll get that baby.” He snorts out a laugh, thrusting into you. Your eyes roll back into your head. “Cummingggnghah!!” You shriek, your hands behind you, gripping onto his shirt.
“H-huh- same.” He breathes heavily, getting a little slower and sloppier. His tip oozing out inside of you. Your walls spasm around him leading a domino effect, Vander fully plunged inside of you as he lets his semen shoot inside you. Your jaw slacks open at the feeling.
You wiggle yourself against him, trying to get as much of him as possible. He pushes the both of you forward, you lean over the wooden counter. A box hiding your face from the door.
“Holy shit…” You quietly whined, your legs were shaking and very weak. Barely keeping yourself standing. His slips out of you, letting the mixture of yours and his cum drop to the ground from your cunny.
“You took me so well. So good every time.” He praises you, rubbing your back.
Afterwards he takes you to your shower, water already running. You sat on the floor waiting for him in the hot water as he cleaned up your guys’ mess the two of you made.

saw you asked for viktor x reader requestssss, may i ask for some fluffy modern au ones? love your blog!!
AN: tysm !! and yes i love for modern au!viktor bc maybe he has a chance to be happy :((
warnings: i mention the pandemic a lil and some sad stuff about his disability but over all fluff :), ooc viktor bc im not used to writing him rip
i feel like in any universe viktor has nightmares, in a modern world he would wake with a jolt of fear, drenched in sweat. eyes dark and sunken in. his leg is killing him and he sighs peering at the time. 2:34 am. ahh of course he cannot possibly get a full nights sleep.
he doesn’t want to wake you of course. you need your sleep, more than him but he just can’t handle it. the pain sometimes it’s just too much. he rubs his forehead reaching for his phone and dialing your number. to his delight and concern you awnser almost immediately. “viktor?” your worried voice says through the phone.
“are you ok? did something happen.” you ask, your voice isn’t tired- like it should be. “no- just another bad dream i’m afraid. why aren’t you sleeping?” he asked with a small amused smirk.
silence met him on the other end “darling you need to sleep-“ he tries to reason before you cut him off complaining about how he never sleeps.
definitely still a work-a-holic… can’t for a moment pull himself away from work. in a modern world he is definitely still a scientist… maybe working in the medical field? possibly! the tech world seems most likely….
he’d always have accesses to the newest gadgets and do-dads. stuff that blows your mind but for him? another tuesday. and for being as technologically advanced as he is he doesn’t care much for tv show or modern movies…
he’d like the classics of course but he strikes me more as a classic ligature guy… maybe just some self projecting but some gothic lit perhaps?
he also eats extremely healthy. and when he does eat it’s not to enjoy the food it’s purely to keep him going… and your snaking habits and fast food would amuse him slightly.
of course he’d get invited to speak at many tech (or medically i’m telling you i can see him in the prosthetic industry) events. jayce forcing him to get all black suit and tie fancy. which he would hate.
what he wouldn’t hate would be seeing you all done up pretty/handsome, wondering how he managed to trick you into falling in love with him.
viktor sat in front of his full length mirror (a space specifically for him to be able to down while getting ready) adjusting his tie before using his crutch to stand up. the only thought running through his mind was how much he didn’t wanna go
then he saw you rush out of the bathroom “ugh we are gonna be late” you said worried putting in your earrings or adjusting your own tie. but viktor didn’t here your complaint. he saw his beautiful partner. his love struck eyes followed as you rush to his mirror. he slipped a hand around your waist.
you turn to him finally done adjusting your outfit he just smiles back. “you clean up nice.” you whisper before planting a small kiss on his cheek. if you wear lipstick he admires the mark before regrettably rubbing the mark off.
and even if you don’t wear it he can feel the spot burn all night long as he watches jayce mingle through the crowd.
since his right leg is the leg he needs his crutch for i think it’s safe to assume he can’t drive. he most likely could when he was younger when he used the cane not the crutch but even then after a few years he most likely wouldn’t be able to
and even if it sounds a little uncharacteristic i think he would have a personal driver. he is definitely making bank in the tech (or medically yk yk) field, especially being an inventor.
so he wouldn’t have one to be an ass but simply because he cannot walk places and the modern world relies on cars… if you can drive he much prefers you to do it however.
during the pandemic since he is most likely immune compromised i don’t see a world where he goes out much before let alone after a global pandemic. which makes his anxiety worse.
it’s better for his pain to be able to run his business from home or a quarantined lab but his mental health suffers. when the band are lifted and your allowed to go out more he has a panic attacks a lot.
during zoom calls sometimes you’d be just out of frame holding his hand as you read or something. it took a while and a lot of convincing but he eventually started to go to therapy
ik big deal for mr i don’t deserve anything good in my life…
as his health declines and he is forced to stay home rather than choosing to stay home he becomes close to bed ridden. you quit your job to help care for him more full time. he hates it.
he hates the pitty looks from jayce and all the people that worked for hextech. he doesn’t have to worry about money of course… but he wishes the world would allow him more time.
i don’t know how modern the medicine is in piltover but i’m assuming it’s decently close to ours ??? and if so he would decline at about the same rate. if our modern world has better medicine than of course he takes advantage of it to a point
until having to pop 5 pills every three hours takes a toll and he slowly stops taking them.. but he always has you to remind him why he takes them. so after increasing his therapy sessions he starts to take them again.
i’d imagine he likes to spend every domestic moment he can. massaging your legs as they lay across his lap as you ramble on about whatever tv show your watching. chuckling at your reactions as he reads
being able to brush his teeth with you in the shower… just the pure domestic bliss he basks in. having a lonely childhood he is has never been more happy to experience a life with people he loves !!

“Ah Megumi what a great surprise, it’s been a while since Satoru has dragged you out here” geto jokes, pulling Megumi into a tight hug leaving a pat on his back.
“Yeah unfortunately”
“Hey! I know you love spending time with your older brother!” Satoru pouts while trying to reference himself in which Megumi responds in a disgusted huff,
“He already agreed to come here, no need to torture him too much, Satoru” Suguru closes the door behind you guys finding his way to glide his hand on the small of your back, sending shivers down your spine.
You try and ignore it as you walk into the living room, Suguru guiding you to the kitchen where he has food prepared for laters dinner, which makes you eye ball the delicious food being teased in your face.
Megumi pulls Satoru the side with a small, “We’ve got to talk.” leaving Satoru confused as he follows behind him.
“What’s this all about?” he asks in confusion as they are both now pulled aside.
“I know” He pauses trying to find the words, “I know that you’re the father of the child she’s carrying” He raises his voice a little.
“I figured that much considering you didn’t talk to me nor her for nearly 2 months, I understand you may not like me but it has nothing to do with her” He says, his voice becoming more calm compared to the hyper playful voice he usually kept around Megumi.
“What the hell were you thinking? Knocking her up like that? She deserves better than you, you know you can’t commit to her and give her what she deserves so why the hell would you do it, why?” his voice struggled to stay consistent feeling emotions trying to tear their way out of his throat.
Why was he so upset about this? Why did he care so much who you were with? Why the hell couldn’t he control his emotions.
And it was almost as if Satoru reads his thoughts because his face falls with a new look of realization, he stutters for a moment, “Wait..this isn’t about me, is it? you like her, Megumi…Oh.” He says looking down in guilt.
He cared about you. He cared about Suguru. But Megumi…he took care of Megumi the best way he could as a teenager, seeing the look on Megumi’s face truly made him realize the damage he had inflicted on him.
He would have never done it if he knew Megumi had still loved her.
“This isn’t about me. This is about her and I understand what’s done is done but promise me that you won’t leave her alone with this, promise me you won’t hurt her or fuck around like you do with everything else.” His heart feels heavy, he can’t even keep eye contact.
“Listen…I know i don’t have a good history with relationships and that stuff but I do care about y/n. I wouldn’t do anything that would jeopardize her happiness, trust me on that.”
Megumi takes a few seconds to process it before slowly nodding, “I think we should head back inside.” He says before walking past him.
MEANWHILE IN THE KITCHEN WITH Y/N & SUGURU:
“So…” You start,
“So!” He says cheerfully, putting his elbows down on the counter in front of you, with an interested expression on his face.
“I actually have a question…it’s about Satoru’s parents.” You say nervously hoping he would give you any tips or warnings on what to expect.
“Well, they’re great people as one would say while talking about one of the most popular and rich families in Tokyo but honestly…They can be a little rough on Satoru, and I wouldn’t take anything they say to heart, They seemed to have had an effect on Satoru’s last girlfriend.” He trails off suddenly not wanting to talk about it at the mention of his last girlfriend.
“What happened to his last girlfriend…?” You didn’t want to push any boundaries but you couldn’t help but feel curious on the sudden change of mood at the mention of her.
“Uh…Well-“ He’s cut off before hearing a rowdy Satoru enter the room excitedly, placing a hand beside you.
“Heyyy so what are we talking about!”
“Oh we were just talking about-“ You are about to say before getting cut off by Suguru, “Oh it’s nothing Satoru, just talking about your parents.” He says.
Satoru looks at you looking for any concern before putting a comforting hand on your shoulder, “Oh don’t worry, they aren’t that bad, just ignore most of what they say and you’ll hold up just fineee” He trails off his words playfully as he picks at the food in front of him, earning a slap on the hand from Suguru causing a wince from him
‘ Knock Knock ‘
A knock that seemed to make the room go dead silent, as if everyone went still knowing who was at the other end of the door, making your nerves rise as your hand begins to shake a little.
Satoru notices this and gives you a pat on the head, “Don’t be nervous, everything will be fine.” He says before opening the door, on the other side stood his parents.
His mother, a woman who aged beautifully, long white hair down to her back waved carelessly in the wind outside and his father, who Satoru must take from, being a spitting image of each other, only his fathers face much older and less peaceful, his father held a serious blunt expression. Making you feel intimidated.
You can see where Satoru gets his good looks from, his parents were both jaw dropping.
His mother walks in as Suguru gives her a hug and friendly kiss on the cheek, “You look not a day over twenty, Ms. Gojo, you amaze me.” He compliments her, causing her to chuckle as she walked towards Megumi in which she asked how the boy was doing.
“How are things Megumi? You know you always have that offer if you’d like to get out of that small apartment of yours.” She says, causing Megumi starting to fail hiding his expressions,
“I think i’m fine with where i’m at, thanks.” He says wanting to move on from the conversation.
Meanwhile, Satoru’s father gave out handshakes to the men, greeting them firmly, almost business like.
Once they had both got to you, they paused. You felt unaware of what to do in the moment, wanting to play it safe, you start up words, “Hello, I’m-“ before being interrupted by Satoru.
“This is my girlfriend Y/n, I thought you should meet her.” He says, making you furrow your eyebrows at him almost offended at the thought of being his girlfriend.
“Girlfriend? You never mentioned a girlfriend before or the times we’ve talked on the phone?” His mother questions suspicious as his father gives you a look of judgement. Suddenly you felt conscious of how you looked and appeared.
“Ah well yes it’s a little new.” He says trying to play it off. You wait for him to mention the part where you are pregnant with his child, yet it never seems to come. Did he really not tell his parents yet?
“Ah well uhm okay, it’s nice to meet you uh, y/n was it?” His mother asks giving you a fake smile as her and her husband shared a look or perhaps, the look.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both Mr. and Mrs. Gojo!” You say trying to give them a friendly smile in which they choose to ignore your presence.
“Well then, i smell food and you know how much I miss Suguru’s cooking, I assume we shall eat now” She says clapping her hands as everyone followed along, Satoru’s father still glaring at you.
At the table, small talk was made about how Satoru’s career was going along with Suguru in which received positive feedback in which everything felt okay until the conversation was brought up about Megumi and the past.
“Oh i remember how skinny and fragile he was, jesus the kid was living in such poverty, thank god his father passed or else he would’ve been stuck eating scraps if it weren’t for Satoru.” She says laughing as she sipped her wine.
The talk of losing his father and how he grew up seemed to cause Megumi to go quiet.
The attention seemed to now be turned towards you as Mr. Gojo finally speaks up for the first time since they’ve sat down, “So y/n, I assume you don’t come from money, correct?” He asks bluntly, taking his fork to carve his meat.
You feel yourself start to become uncomfortable which doesn’t go unnoticed but you decide to answer, “Uh well no i suppose i don’t.” You say looking down at your plate, suddenly feeling embarrassed.
“I’m going to be blunt about this, what is it that you’re using my son for? sex? money? or perhaps do you think satoru will raise your status so you could become a surgeon?” He asks crossing his hands over each other.
“Father-“ Satoru starts before his father puts his hand up as a sign for Satoru not to speak,
“Let her speak.” He says and the room became quiet.
You felt offended by what his father was saying. As if money, sex or a title at work would make you want to deal with Satoru on a daily basis. But what boiled your blood more than that was the fact he was asking this only because you didn’t grow up rich.
“None of the Above.” You state, the boil in your blood causing a sudden rise of confidence.
“Oh no need to be humble darling. Just tell me what you want from him or our family and you can get it now rather than distracting my son.” He says leaning back in his seat.
“I am telling the honest truth, I don’t want his money or his-“ You get cut off by Satoru. “Okay dad I think that’s enough interrogating, He’s just joking-“ Satoru says trying to lighten the mood.
“I’m asking an honest question and I would like it if you’d stop interrupting her, Satoru.” He says, almost as a warning as you see Satoru’s change in emotion at the mention of his father saying his name.
“Listen, I don’t want shit to do with your money or using Satoru as anything, Id appreciate it if you stopped accusing me of this bullfuckery” You blurt letting your hormones getting the best of you…or perhaps your temper.
“Tell your whore to watch her mouth.” His mother commented causing your blood to boil as you got up from your chair, Satoru rushing to hold you back, “The fuck did you just say?” You said heated.
In the corner of your eye you can see Megumi with a surprised yet slightly amused expression at the sight of someone standing up towards the Gojo’s.
“I think we should all just calm down, okay?” He says looking at everyone.
“Get your whore a leash and a muzzle while you’re at it. How dare you let her speak to your mother that way!” Satoru’s mom says sipping her glass on wine carelessly.
“Oh i can say a lot worst-“ You say before satoru pulls you back cautiously so he won’t hurt you standing between you and his mother.
“I demand you to leave this woman at once.”
“I can’t do that mother.” He says trying to avoid eye contact.
“Oh sure you can, you can do much better than this whore with a mouth on her!” His mother starts to raise her voice.
“You don’t understand mother, I am not leaving y/n and that is final.” He says and his mother grows furious.
“Oh enlighten me! what’s so special about this woman, because you two haven’t interacted with each other all night so don’t bullshit me that you two are in love.” She yells.
“I- I-“ He stutters wondering if he should just say it. He looks at you looking at how furious and offended you were and the disappointed look on Suguru’s face across the table. “y/n is pregnant.” He says.
His mother seems to not understand as she goes on, “So? You don’t need to take on charity cases-“ She gets interrupted by Satoru who blurts out, “No mother, the baby is mine. I got her pregnant!”
His father’s eyes widen before him and Mrs. Gojo look at each other, them both deciding to stand up.
“Satoru. A word. Now.” His father demands as he walks out of the room, his mother trailing behind him as Satoru looks worried down at you before following his parents.
From the dining table you could hear the faint sounds of yelling and arguing coming from Satoru’s office causing a sudden guilt to fill your stomach, this all felt like so much. You needed fresh air.
You walked out of the room going outside to the snow as you lay on the ground, slowly making a snow angel. Something so childish yet comforting in the moment. You couldn’t quite figure out what about this action made you feel so warm yet you were in the cold.
“I can go-“ Suguru says before trying to follow after you outside before Megumi Interrupts, “I’ve got this one, thanks” He says as Suguru respects that as he begins to clean up the table.
You hear the door close in which you see moments later a familiar black haired man in front of you, hands in his pockets before settling down on the ground next to you, laying still compared to you who was making motions in order to make a snow angel.
“I have a question for you.”
“What?” You asked confused as Megumi isn’t typically the type to ask questions so suddenly.
“Are you happy?” He asks concerned, looking at you in the corner of his eye.
“I mean considering what just happened moments ago, i wouldn’t exactly say i’m too-“
“You know that isn’t what I mean.” He says firmly. You sigh, “Yeah, I know.”
You take a few moments to let the silence take up space as you think about his question.
“I don’t think it matters if I am”
“I think it does, you should be able to choose what life you want to live.”
“I have to do what’s best for this baby, if i chose how to live based on my emotions, I wouldn’t be having this baby. Don’t you think i’m scared? Scared of being a mother, scared of being something that i’m not even familiar with.” You say, a tear breaking its way out of your eye causing you to sniffle a little.
Megumi seems to understand now, “I understand. But just give me the word and i promise i will pick you up from this dump and you can leave it all behind” He says, casually calling Satoru’s million dollar mansion a dump, causing a small choked up laugh to come out of you making a small smile appear on megumi’s lips.
Surprisingly, Megumi’s hand find its way to yours. An act of comfort.
Megumi is suddenly filled with the slight hint of nostalgia having an old feeling hit him hard, making him remember.
MEGUMI POV SWITCH: 7 YEARS AGO
‘ knock knock ‘
he hears the frantic knocking coming from the door, knowing exactly who it was. he opened the door expecting to see her but there was no one there.
he walked out expecting you to have forgot something from your car or for you to be hiding yet no sign before suddenly being hit by a snowball right in the chest, his gaze turned towards y/n, his next door neighbor and best friend.
“gotcha!” he watched her laugh as she ran away as he walked behind her, her keeping a slow enough pace for him to see where she was going yet not slow enough for him to catch up.
she finally stopped in her tracks, tumbling down on the floor with a ‘thump. her body motioned back and forth attempting to create a snow angel as she laughed.
he would watch in awe before she grabbed a hand out to him encouraging him to join her, in which he didn’t refuse.
“cmon!” she dragged him down in a hurry, “okay okay” he says falling down on the floor next to her as the sound of her giggles filled the air, him listening silently.
she turned to look at him, in which she she smiled up at him as he laid down next to her,
“hey”
“hi”
a few words could be spoken between you two yet he always felt so comfortable and used to your company.
“I don’t ever want to grow up” she suddenly admitted.
“why?” he asked suddenly curious of her unfamiliar change of mood and speech.
“because then you’ll be all grown and won’t want to hang out with me” she said jokingly yet her eyes seemed to express an almost worried expression. was she worried he would forget about her?
“you don’t have to worry about that.” he stated.
“why not?” her gaze suddenly turning towards him, the simple act of looking at him so innocently suddenly made his heart heavy,
“you can stay with me however long you’d like.” he says reverting his eyes fully towards her , looking at her straight in the eyes.
a moment that felt like forever passed before the sudden feeling of her lips were felt against his. he takes a few moments to process it before cupping her face gently pulling her into the kiss.
it wasn’t long before the heat between the two teenagers got heated, them both now retreated to the treehouse they built as kids that was near their previous snow angel spot, him now on top of her.
as they kissed he felt the warmth of her clothed cunt grinding against his knee that laid comfortably between her legs. he watches with a shaky breath before breaking the kiss.
“what’s wrong?” she asked trying to catch her break
“are you sure you want to do this?” he asked showing concern for any discomfort or second thoughts she might have.
“i’m sure megumi. I want my first time to be with you.” she said bringing a warm hand up to his cold cheek.
his hand travels down to your thigh as his breath hitches. he takes off his big jacket and puts it beneath her on the floor to make things more comfortable for you.
she began to strip in front of him, his gaze never leaving her eyes before she finally finish, allowing him to avert his eyes down her body, thinking that if perfection was anyone, it would be her.
he trailed soft loving kisses down your body, admiring and touching you like you were art, a beauty that should be praised and admired.
he felt that in that moment, nothing else had mattered. it was only you and him.
afterwards you two were left next to each other comfortably as he held you in his arms, an act he dreamed of doing for the longest.
“what you were saying earlier, i wanted to tell you that you don’t have to worry about me forgetting you because i will spend the rest of my life by your side.” he said feeling confident in finally exposing his true feelings towards you.
you took a few moments before you gave him a soft smile, “thank you megumi, i couldn’t ask for a better friend.”
friend
friend?
friend.
his heart dropped, he felt as if it had been stomped on. after taking her virginity just moments ago, after spending years by your side, as you laughed, cried, sobbed, smiled, it felt like a brick was just brought down on his heart.
THE PRESENT:
Megumi is brought back to the present after reliving the memory in his head. he’s now aware of his surroundings, wondering how he could be so close to you, holding hands with someone would be considered such an intimate act yet he felt so far away from you. As if he could never, would never break that infinite barrier that separates the two of you. A world he could see but never enter. A wet painting he could see but never touch.
he’s interrupted by Suguru who suddenly walks outside causing you both to separate hands.
“They’re done talking and asking for you, id ask that you come inside if you will” He says in the calm voice he always kept.
When you both make your way inside and the mood has changed drastically, the air felt heavy as you now saw Satoru sitting silently across the table looking down, not saying a word nor acknowledging your presence at all.
“We have came to an arrangement in which you have two options.” Mr. Gojo speaks once again,
“As you know the Gojo is a class name and our reputation to the public is very important, it helps us keep our status and remain a good name. See now having the newspaper say ‘Gojo Clans’ and Tokyo’s beloved top neurosurgeon Satoru Gojo knocks up young intern’ doesn’t exactly hold up a good reputation, but ‘Satoru Gojo’s new fiancé seemed to have been getting quite busy with a baby on the way’ seems very more delightful.” He says making your eyes widen in shock of his words, he didn’t seriously think you would agree to marry Satoru, did he?
“and the other?” You ask considering your options.
“The other option is that you can get an abortion and we will pay you 5 million up front to keep your mouth shut and disappear from Satoru’s life, it will all be on the low.”
You felt trapped, abortion wasn’t an option. You chose to have this baby and you want to stick with that choice. Yet marrying Satoru felt like a nightmare, you never even considered marriage let alone with Satoru.
Before you could find the words to speak you hear Suguru speak up, “Listen Mr. and Mrs. Gojo, you guys are respectable people and I wouldn’t go against your beliefs but-“ He states before being interrupted by Satoru’s mother.
So then don’t.” She bluntly says, glaring at him.
He stops for a moment before starting up again, “I believe this is a decision she needs to make on her own and is something her and Satoru should talk over, they are both young and no offense but times are different now and i don’t believe marriage is necessary as Ms. Y/n is only 2 months in her term, a lot can happen from now to then.” he waited for a response,
“Suguru Geto, you’re parents would agree with this just as much and you know that. This simply will be for business, If some skank decided to get my son into this situation then she should learn the consequences” Satoru’s fathed spoke.
Suguru takes a few moments trying to collect himself the best he can, you began to become nervous not knowing how to answer mumbling a bit trying to stutter out an answer before Suguru interrupts you,
“Don’t worry about it y/n, I believe their stay here has been extended, I would kindly ask you two to leave” He says getting up to get ready to greet them out as the Gojo’s agree, leading themselves out before his father stops.
He places a hand on Satoru’s shoulder trying to say goodbye in his own way before Satoru pulled away from his hand.
“Don’t act out son. You’re lucky we aren’t doing to her what we did to your last girlfriend.” He finishes and makes his way out the door.
Megumi stands silently for a few moments before seeing his way out, waving you a goodbye before heading out. His phone dialing a number waiting for a number to answer.
“Hello?”
“Hey, I need you to pick me up” Megumi speaks from over the phone.
“Sure! is everything alright fushiguro?”
“Yeah…” He stays silent for a few moments thinking, “Actually, are you free tonight?” He asks
“Yeah! why?”
“I was wondering if you’d like to get some drinks”
“Sure! Should i invite everyone?”
“I think i’d like it if it were just me and you.” Megumi says suddenly feeling a little nervous.
“Okay if you say so!”
“Okay, i’ll see you then…thanks itadori.” He says before hanging up.
-
Satoru and you sat in silence for a few minutes, crossing your arms waiting for a response out of him. After a while you realize he just wasn’t gonna say anything so you finally speak, letting anger take over you,
“What the fuck, Satoru.”
He looks up at you but doesn’t respond, he just stares emotionless at you.
“Don’t just sit there! Say something! you couldn’t even say anything while they were sitting there calling me a skank and whore all night, so please enlighten me with your fucking words.” You feel tears trying to make their way out of your eyes but you wont let them.
He pauses before looking back down at his lap, “Are you sure you want to keep our baby”
You huff in disbelief of his words, there’s no way he could seriously be considering that.
“What, are you having second thoughts? having second thoughts now at the thought of marrying me? You aren’t scared of becoming a father but you’re scared of the thought of marrying me, god fuck satoru!” You shouted at him feelings tears fall down your face.
He doesn’t say anything before excusing himself from the table as he walked into his office, locking the door behind him.
Suguru walks in to you with your hands on your knees as you quietly sobbed on the floor, he rushes towards you pulling his arms over you in a hug as tears spilled even more.
You look up at him with teary eyes as he cups your face gently pulling you into him. You try to form words but they don’t come out and Suguru notices this as he spoke gentle words, “It’s okay, I know.” His words came out softly against your ear as he held you.
Your gaze turns towards him, looking up at him as you stare at each other for what felt like forever before you did the unspeakable.
You kissed him.
You hadn’t known why you did so, in the moment it felt so right. And with that, he returned it, he kissed you back passionately before the maid walked in, her stepping back trying to pretend she didn’t see anything before Suguru pulls away.
“Let’s take you to bed, a lot has happened today. I think we all need rest tonight.” He says helping you up offering you a kind smile as he helped you walk to your room.
He leads you to your room before letting you enter yourself before wishing you goodnight as he looked away.
The kiss you shared just before had felt so right yet somehow now things felt so awkward as you laid in bed silently as you thought over the fact that you kissed Suguru in the middle of a breakdown which now made you feel a bit embarrassed.
You began to shut your eyes, choosing not to dwell on it too much as you already had a long night deciding to try and get rest.
Or atleast you try to do before you hear the door open, you figure it may be the maid who forgot something in your room as it’s happened before, an honest mistake so you carry on with your sleep, keeping your eyes shut.
That is until you hear someone sit on the bed next to you placing a hand on your hair, brushing it gently. You don’t dare to make a sound or look who it is, you figured it may have still been the maid checking on you.
A careful arm hugs over your body barely before hearing a whisper “I’m sorry.” the familiar voice of Satoru Gojo fills your ears as you still pretend to be asleep. He presses a soft kiss to your stomach before leaving the room.
The room suddenly felt empty, cold. The interaction was so short, so little yet you found yourself missing the warmth of his hand against your stomach.

Remember Me
Part 3
Summary: After years of being separated from your love, James (Bucky) Buchanan Barnes, you finally find him again. But he’s different. Too different. Not only does he forget himself but you and Steve as well. Can he get his memories back?
‼️Trigger Warnings will be noted if needed at the beginning of chapter.‼️
Triggers: reader not taking care of themselves, starving, self deprication, Steve Rodgers being an ass
Use of Y/N in this chapter. Sorry not sorry.
A/N: for anyone actually keeping up with this I’m so sorry this chapter took so long😂
“Of course you can stay with me Sargent. I’ve been waiting for you.”
He smiled that beautiful smile. The one you thought you’d never see again but were blessed to see so many times in the past hour.
“Don’t smile at me like that.” You blushed.
“Like what?” He asked. Genuinely confused as it was how he smiled at everything that made him genuinely happy.
“Like that. That smile you always do that gets us into trouble. The one you know would get us into trouble here. You know the one.”
There wasn’t a specific smile. It was just him. He was so unabashedly happy to be back in your presence no matter how little he remembered it hadn’t even occurred to him that he probably looked a little deranged.
He couldn’t remember the last time he smiled. Literally.
He frowned.
You furrowed your brow from the sudden change of Bucky’s emotions.
“What’s wrong?” You asked.
He whispered so quietly you almost didn’t catch it. It didn’t help that he was looking at the ground.
“I don’t remember the last time I smiled.”
He looked up at you again, eyes watering.
You tentatively reached around his waist with one arm before reaching around with the other. Just in case.
He stood rigidly. His arms to his sides and breathing heavily. You pressed your whole body to him hoping your closeness would ease his tension like it used to. But it didn’t. Instead, it made everything worse.
With his one arm he wrenched you away from himself and his once gorgeous blue eyes were now steel. He wasn’t there anymore. He almost looked like him. The one that haunted your dreams now. The Winter Soldier. But he wasn’t. The Soldier wasn’t quite there. But he was there enough.
“Leave.”
Your head snapped up. Unsure you heard him correctly you asked him to repeat himself.
“I said leave. Stop waiting for someone who isn’t coming back.”
You gaped at him. Everything was ok. He was fine a minute ago. You were fixing your relationship, getting to know each other again. It was wonderful. But now.
You weren’t sure if you were going to be able to have a relationship if it was going to be like this every time you got close to him. It wouldn’t work. In no reality would that work.
“B-Bucky?” you stuttered
“I SAID GET OUT!”
He shoved you away and took hold of your wrist leading you out of the hut and quite literally threw you out.
You landed on your hands and knees with tears in your eyes.
Steve didn’t see much but he saw you get thrown out. He ran as fast as he could to get to you.
“Hey. What happened? You alright?”
You slowly got to your knees and looked at your hands. You started picking out the gravel that had embedded itself in your palms.
You slowly and calmly looked Steve directly in the eyes.
“He’s gone Steve. There isn’t anything we can do.”
Steve flinched.
“What are you talking about ‘He’s gone’? What’s going on? Y/N what happened in there!”
You got up off your knees and found Shuri near the edge of the lake.
“Thank you for all your help Shuri. I know you’ve done everything you can. But I think it’s too late. He’s gone.”
And that’s when you broke down. You couldn’t fight the tears.
You found Steve beside you and buried yourself in his chest. If Bucky wouldn’t hold you at least you knew your friend would.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 Weeks Later
Steve was never good at speaking to women. Saying hello in and of itself was a general hardship for him.
Except for you. Since Bucky had found you all those years ago you and Steve had become good friends. Steve was grateful for that.
Steve couldn’t talk to women. But he could talk to you. You weren’t just a woman. You were his best friend and his other best friend’s…girlfriend? Fiancé?
Whatever you were to Bucky he wasn’t quite sure. But you were important enough that he had bought you a ring and you had worn it. Even after thinking he had been dead for 70 years.
He wasn’t sure if Bucky was still there anymore. If anything that had happened in Wakanda was anything to go by. Steve would bring him back though. For you.
As he wandered the halls of the Avenger’s compound alone with his thoughts Steve decided to try to visit you again. Even though you probably wouldn’t see him.
You hadn’t spoken to anyone. He hadn’t seen you leave your room or even order anything to your room. He had asked FRIDAY if you had been at least eating but you had instructed FRIDAY not to tell anyone and that “If it’s Blondie asking, tell him I’ll eat when I feel like it.”
He’d been getting that same message for months. He hoped you were still alive at this point.
Steve stopped at your door and took a breath before knocking.
Knock knock knock.
He waited a minute.
He was greeted with the deafening silence of the empty compound.
But he soon heard a rustling coming from the other side of the door. And then the sound of feet shuffling closer and closer to the door until it slowly creaked the tiniest bit open.
He was shocked. You looked awful.
“Hey Steve.”
That was it. 2 weeks of silence, not knowing if you were taking care of yourself, if you were dead and all he got was ‘Hey Steve’? Nope not ok.
“‘Hey Steve?’ That’s it? Really Y/N? That’s all I get? HEY FUCKING STEVE?!”
You flinched. You knew you deserved it. Hiding in your room for the past 2 weeks. He tried to help you. You just wanted to die.
“Yeah. Just hey Steve.”
You started to shut the door but he smashed his hand between the door and the jamb before you could close it all the way and he forced the door completely open.
You couldn’t wither away and lose a grotesque amount of weight like an average person as a super soldier. But you still managed to somehow look like it.
You motioned to the box by the couch in the living room.
“They sent me his things the day after we got back. Well, his backpack and the clothes on his back.”
Steve looked at you warily. It explained the slight look of insanity. You missed him. Too much.
You wished it was him in your room. Not a box of clothes and backpack of memories.
He needed the backpack. Wherever he was.
“You should go Steve.”
“What do you mean I should go? You need help! A therapist. Something!”
“You shouldn’t be here,” you whispered “it’s not proper.”
“THIS ISN’T THE 1940’s Y/N! BUCKY DOESN’T HAVE TO BE HERE FOR IT TO BE ‘PROPER’. AND GUESS WHAT? YOU WEREN’T EVEN MARRIED! HE HADN’T EVEN PROPOSED YET SO IT WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN PROPER ANYWAY!”
You knew he was right. You mentally rolled your eyes. He was always right.
“Ya know what? Fine. Sit here and wallow in your pain and his bloodied tattered clothes and books of faded memories. It’s not going to help bring him back!”
And with those last stinging words Steve left. Making sure to slam the door behind him like the dramatic ass he is.
If I remember, you criticize the diamonds from Steven universe for being complex villains and having personalities. Then, you criticize Stella from helluva boss for being an abusive wife for seemingly no reason. Can you explain to me why this shouldn’t be considered hypocrisy (besides your hatred)?
Hello anon, your tone makes me believe you are a biased Viviziepop Stan who has missed the entire point of my criticism for both shows, so I’ll take this time to clarify:
The diamonds are amazing characters. They are complex. They are terrible people, but have redeeming qualities. They are their own characters outside of Pink Diamond.
Stella is not complex. She’s a terrible person with no redeeming qualities. Stella is not her own character outside of Stolas.
I’m extremely confused how you think these two are related. The only thing I’ve criticized the diamonds for was their rushed , not believable redemption. Let me explain; Blue and Yellow are the exception to a degree. They were expected and forced to conquer and control by White Diamond.
They were racist, homophobic (fusion) , and totalitarian. They murdered hundreds of thousands of people for the sake of their perfect empire, but they were imperfect themselves. If they didn’t do what White said, they would be in trouble and she would take their wills from them.
Blue and Yellow, the only reason they woke up is because Pink Diamond left. Because their closest family member died. After hundreds of years of shutting their emotions out and feeling nothing but emotion respectively, they finally woke up and realized how miserable they were. How miserable they’ve always been, and that’s what ultimately pushed Pink away. Pink was the only one that brought them together, who made them truly happy. Knowing they were responsible for their own misery, they realized they needed to change.
Blue and Yellow decided to become better people, but they still had a long ways to go. There’s a lot of damage to the universe they can never undo. It’s not too late to change, but we only saw them wanting to change for the sake of their family member. Magically, their biased racism and homophobia vanishes and they just become saints to their people over the course of a few years when their destructive terrible nature and belief system has been instilled into them for thousands of decades. The show didn’t have enough time to make this change to their morality believable, but had we had more time, it probably would have been perfectly acceptable.
The biggest issue here however is White Diamond. The show set up to pin the blame of the empire onto her. White diamond does not become a better person because she misses Pink Diamond. Even after the finale she still believes organic life, fusions, and off colors to be disgusting; her racism still peaking through. The thing that “redeems” her is a literal joke. Steven embarrasses her. She becomes insecure when she realizes she’s not living up to her own expectations. It’s all still completely narcissistic in nature.
Even to “redeem” herself, she goes around and lets other people control her body and will instead of the other way around, which, after ordering the conquer of hundreds of thousands of planets , with all the blood and gem shards on her hands- this is an extremely unusual , counterproductive way to undo any damage she caused to the universe. It feels like she didn’t suffer. One does not necessarily have to suffer to be redeemed, but when you are someone so full of yourself, so shut off and uncaring and not empathetic to the world around you, I believe, in order to truly change, you need to understand what other people have gone through because of you. You could argue she’s doing that by synchronizing with other people, but she’s not actually doing anything about the pain or suffering she’s caused them. She just lets them use her and take things out on her which isn’t productive either.
Long ramble short,Stella is flat, the Diamonds are complex. Helluva Boss has time to explore its villain characters, Steven Universe did not.
Stella is an annoying waste of screen time, while the Diamonds are integral to the series as well as the overall message.
These characters and series are incomparable.
#helluva boss critical#Steven universe#I don’t criticize the diamonds for being complex#I criticize them because their redemption was not timed or handled very well
Thanksgiving / Giving Thanks
I often find myself feeling grateful and joyful over many of the wonderful online interactions and friendships I have, and I occasionally voice those feelings to people (usually one-on-one). However, online communication is fairly limited: 98% of the time it’s limited to text (that other 2% is voice chat in Discord and voice recordings). In real life, I get to see several of my friends and family in person on a somewhat-regular-to-daily basis. There’s more opportunity to communicate the positive feelings I have about those relationships and interactions, verbally and through body language and just my presence.
I’ll text many of my friends (including those I don’t talk to very often) and family “Happy Thanksgiving!” on Thanksgiving, along with an emoji or two, and I’ve done that in Discord servers I’m in as well. I remember thinking about sending a Thanksgiving message to at least one person last year; I don’t recall if I actually did that or not, but I did think about it. Because I wanted to share in celebration with online friends, and for the first time, that included people on Tumblr.
I thought about that for this year, but sending a simple message didn’t feel like it expressed my gratitude enough. And it made me think about how I sometimes yet-not-frequently express that gratitude. So, I decided that today, Thanksgiving, was the perfect time to make a post about who and what I’m thankful for here on Tumblr and online fandom spaces.
(yes I am American and yeah it's Thanksgiving Day here rn, for like 10 more minutes)
I’m thankful for:
@thegreenleavesofspring and your friendship and encouragement and your desire and hope for goodness to succeed in this world through the light of the Lord and sharing pieces of your life with your friends (including me). For writing Sons of the Star and Annaáuchiwee—seriously some of my favorite stories—and sharing them with the world. For the Talk Shop Tuesday asks. For writing Valentines Flowers and Cookies FOR ME (okay not just for me, obviously, but like, they were story thoughts/ideas I had and you grabbed them and ran with them without me even asking and then dedicating them to me on AO3. I am ridiculously touched.) and then telling TAC about my idea for Riser and Billie slow dancing to "Come Home to You" and writing that with her too. For your awesome writing in general. For being you.
The Anonymous Coauthor/TAC and for writing Annaáuchiwee with Bri and (through Bri) getting me into Ian Munsick’s music (I would not be surprised if one of his songs was my top song on Spotify this year; I’ll find out when Spotify Wrapped comes out soon) and also getting me interested in watching more media about/featuring the Western US that I come across or someone shares with me (like the TV show Longmire and the movie Quigley Down Under, the latter being courtesy of Bri). And for writing that scene where Riser and Billie slow dance to “Come Home to You” in chapter 8 of Montana Stars because I had mentioned to Bri that I pictured that happening. You absolutely did not have to do that and I was, and still am, over the moon about it. (Bri, would you mind sharing this with TAC? I would love for her to see it.)
@scleroticstatue and your friendship and encouragement and creativity and listening to me ramble on about one of my irl activities (it was so much fun being able to infodump to you, and I was honestly so touched by the way you genuinely wanted to know more and asked questions!) and sharing info about health stuff when I ask and being someone who reminds me (with so much hope!) that the Lord is faithful. It’s so much fun being your friend.
@afaroffsong and for your friendship and encouragement and your lovely art and writing. I also…okay, this might sound weird, but I feel grateful that I get to share that encouragement back. When people talk about things in their lives that they have going on, especially if it’s stuff they’re going through or things they hope for, I often feel honored to hear that and to be able to do my best to encourage or support them. And I know my words alone can’t solve people’s problems, but I hope they help in some capacity, and I am grateful that I can share reminders that you are loved.
Bri, Sclerotic, and Song. As a group. I love seeing the back and forth reblogs on my dash with Bri and Sclerotic, and I love how I see you all reblog things from one another (and then I get to reblog them from you). It’s also so fun seeing y’all reblog things from me. I love seeing the content you put on my dash, the funny posts and deep posts and personal posts and everything in between. Thank you for frequently putting reminders of God on my dash; it’s very encouraging to see.
@winterinhimring and even though we haven’t talked a whole ton, you write incredibly well and it’s been cool to get to know you through Terrafell stuff. (You might know this, but I also post over on awwyeah-rambles—it’s my sideblog.) Thanks for telling me all about Terrafell when I first started asking, as well as readily answering all my questions!
@catkin-morgs-kookaburralover and that you are still here and alive ❤️ Even though we don’t talk much, and I don’t follow you, I still consider you a friend. (The not following isn’t personal whatsoever, btw. I might at some point in the future but my dash gets so busy that I simply don’t have bandwidth for much more. This is true for basically anyone I interact with on a regular/semi-regular basis but don’t follow.)
@abyssalcitrus @p0tat0-g0ddess @muse-write @wayward-wren - I’ve talked probably between 1-4 times with any of you, but you’re cool and we’re all together in the we-love-Bri club and I’m thankful for each of you.
@darkfrozenabyss and for writing and publishing/sharing your wonderful fic Daughters of Therindë with the world and all the super fun lengthy conversations we have in the comments (and in the comments of my fics or others of your fics—basically anytime we share a comment section XD). I genuinely enjoy them so much, and I love hearing about all the Tolkien linguistics and history you know and have researched. I also enjoy our occasional exchanges on Tumblr, and I loved making the art of Mellótë’s dresses this year and was so happy to share it with you!
@thescrapwitch and for your incredible fics I’ve read (you have a talent for giving me such FEELS, primarily over the Fëanorians) and for the comment conversations we have. I’m so grateful for your encouragement and love for “but for the look in his eyes”—I mean it when I say it wouldn’t have existed without you, and not just because of Despair Like Poison, but the excitement and enthusiasm you had in response to my initial ideas for it. Your support for it has meant and does mean a lot to me :)
All my mutuals, even if we don’t talk much.
The Silmarillion Writers' Guild (SWG) and specifically the SWG Discord server.
The Fig Tree Discord server, though I’m not on it much. Everyone I’ve talked to there is so kind.
@imladrisweek and @elronds-library and anyone else who’s reposted/reblogged my fics. The fact that you cared or enjoyed my fic enough to reblog it, or even if you were doing it to add to a collection or some reason not specifically related to reading my fic, is really sweet and I appreciate it a lot.
~
Comment conversations with fic authors. It’s been so fun to have these, and I really enjoy the back-and-forth discussions that can ensue from leaving a comment! (Specific people I can think of at the moment who I’ve had a lot of comment conversations with are Bri, darkfrozenabyss, scrapwitch, @tilion-writes, and [not on Tumblr] waitingfover. Thanks y’all!)
All the great fics I’ve read this year (many of which will be in my fics recs post for 2024!) and amazing artwork I’ve seen on Tumblr.
All the kudos I’ve received on my fics.
All of the people who have read my fics and enjoyed them but didn’t leave a comment. As someone who didn’t engage at all in online fandom for a long time but loved reading fics, I know how a fic can stick with you for years and can be one of your favorites—even though you’ve never shared it with the author. Although I don’t know how non-commenting readers perceive my work (obviously, lol), I’m guessing there’s at least one or two people out there who have read a fic of mine and enjoyed it. I’m thankful for that and for them.
All of the comments I’ve received on my fics. I am grateful beyond words for every comment left on my fics (okay, not the bot or spam comments, but that’s not the point here, lol). Many of the comments people have written have made me feel like I’m on top of the world. They’ve made me feel SO LOVED. Seeing a comment in my inbox always sparks joy in me, and I always smile reading them. It’s so much fun getting comments from regular readers/commenters (it makes me quite happy to see familiar names), and it’s equally fun getting comments from people whose names I’ve never seen before. Whether it’s a short “great story!” type comment or a comment listing the different parts of the fic/the chapter they liked or an in-depth analysis on part of (or the entire) fic, I deeply appreciate people choosing to share their thoughts on my writing. Comments really do bring me a lot of joy and they mean a lot to me. (So far, I haven’t gotten a negative one, which is both something I’m relieved about and grateful for.) If you’ve left me a comment (or multiple comments!) on any of my fics before, thank you so, so, so much. ❤️
Every ask I’ve gotten (from an actual person that’s not just a bot or spam) on my fandomsandfairytales and awwyeah-rambles sideblogs :)
For the support and prayers I got on the post where I asked for prayer about talking to my pro-choice friends.
For people’s patience with me not responding quickly to fic comments (on my own fics or on others’ fics where I’ve commented and the author has commented back and I haven’t responded yet), not having made comments yet that I’ve said I’ll make (I really apologize to anyone still waiting, which isn’t many people but still, and I am trying to say less often that I’ll make a comment when I don’t know for certain when I’ll get to it), not responding super quickly to messages or posts that I’ve been tagged in or reblogs replying to something I said, and anything else that fits into this category. We all have our own lives outside of this little bubble, and I appreciate people being understanding of that.
~
Terrafell and all the shenanigans that come up on my dash because of it XD I love Sock Police. And Atticus. And Furniture Man, to a lesser extent, simply because I haven’t heard as much about him.
The Annaáuchiwee Community.
The Christian OC tournament.
The Pretty Deadly-Silm fandom exchange XD so funny.
The fun and wacky things that make Tumblr Tumblr—all the polls (thinking of the fairy vs walrus poll XD), the boops, the “reblog to give prev [xyz nice thing],” all the heritage posts.
The “details” html (allows a person to collapse or expand text/content) that I found through @polutrope using it in the author’s notes for And Love Grew. I love toggles (my name for them!) and I use them in other places, so I was quite excited to find out about them and begin using them in my author’s notes too. (I’m thankful to you, polutrope, for introducing them to me through your fic!)
The AO3 comment box, because it has been an absolute LIFE-CHANGER when it comes to making comments on AO3. I was SO excited when I discovered it back in May and haven’t stopped being excited about it since then. I am sincerely so very grateful for it and for the person who created it.
Aftg Skit: Wymack's Thanksgiving Story
Wymack is sitting at his desk, rubbing his temples, while Betsy sits opposite him, sipping coffee.
Wymack: (groans) Betsy, you ever have one of those holidays where you wonder if drinking straight through it would’ve been the smarter choice?
Betsy: (calmly) Every year. What happened this time?
Wymack: Thanksgiving. I made the mistake of assigning tasks to the Monsters. Figured I could trust Neil and Kevin to do something as simple as picking up a turkey from the store.
Betsy: (already suspicious) Let me guess. It wasn’t simple.
Wymack: Of course not. (leans back in his chair) I sent them out together, thinking Kevin would keep Neil focused, and Neil would keep Kevin from being...Kevin. Turns out, they’re both equally capable of catastrophic failure.
Betsy: (hides a smirk behind her coffee mug) What happened?
Wymack: (throws his hands up) They lost the turkey, Betsy! Lost it! Somehow, between checkout and the car, the damn thing vanished.
Betsy: (raises an eyebrow) They lost it?
Wymack: That’s what they told me. Neil claims Kevin got distracted arguing with Nicky about frozen versus fresh products being better for athletes, and in the drive back here it “disappeared.”
Betsy: (dryly) Disappeared. Sure.
Wymack: (leans forward) Oh, it gets better. Andrew was the one who found it.
Betsy: (surprised) Andrew? How?
Wymack: Don’t ask me. He just showed up at my door an hour late, holding the turkey in one hand and a bottle of bourbon in the other. Didn’t explain a damn thing.
Betsy: (amused) And you didn’t ask?
Wymack: (grins ruefully) I’ve learned better than to ask Andrew anything when he’s in that mood. He dropped the turkey on the counter, handed me the bourbon, and said, “Happy Thanksgiving, Coach.” Then he walked out.
Betsy: (laughing now) At least he got the turkey back.
Wymack: (sighs) Yeah, but do you know how weird it is to have Andrew Minyard save Thanksgiving? It’s unsettling. Like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Betsy: (teasing) Maybe he’s just full of holiday spirit.
Wymack: (snorts) Sure. And I’m the Tooth Fairy.
Betsy: (stands up, still laughing) Sounds like you had an...eventful holiday.
Wymack: (mutters) That’s one word for it. Next year, I’m ordering pizza.
Betsy: (heading to the door) Good luck with that. Knowing your lot, they’ll find a way to lose that too.
Wymack: (calling after her) Don’t give them ideas, Betsy!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
