As part of the Kazuko Miyamoto exhibition curated by Eva Fabbris at Madre museum, we are curating, in collaboration with the MAO museum, a music public programme that will premiere on Thursday July 6th with a special performance by Hatis Noit wearing "Cloud" a work by Maurizio Anzeri originally conceived for her.

Tomorrow Erased Tapes will be releasing the rework of Japanese voice artist Hatis Noit’s “Aura” by iconic ambient godfather Laraaji.

The single release is coming alongside an announcement of new tour dates for 2024, including EU Dates, a New York headlining show on 8/5 at Le Poisson Rouge as well as Bang on a Can’s LOUD Weekend at MtASS MoCA in MA.

AURA Laraaji Rework

Originally meeting Laraaji at the Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand last December, Hatis Noit finally got to see Laraaji play live at the Big Ears Festival this past year where they connected on the collaboration. On his "Aura" rework, Laraaji created multi-timbral sound tracks to go along with Hatis’ unique abstract vocals, and he also performed open tune zither, kalimba and voice as well. 

The Laraaji rework follows recent reworks from Armand Hammer of “Jomon," "Inori" by American avant-garde composer William Basinski, and “Thor" by legendary UK DJ and producer Matthew Herbert. She has found fans in David Lynch, who selected her to perform at his 2019 Manchester International Festival showcase, and super-producer Rick Rubin, whose Showtime documentary series Shangri-La she appeared in.
