The hardworking miners of Bowloar have now breached two discrete cavern ecosystems. Our long-standing policy has been to ignore them, and the critical mass of Forgotten Beasts that are hanging out down there is doing very little to sway popular opinion.

Five or so Forgotten Beasts have spawned between both caverns, and we're not gonna fuck with them 'cuz they got poison blood & stuff but we can peer into our orb and check out the wacky shit they get up to.

This is just what happens when you're a blob made of ash. It's more surprising that this thing went ~300 years without sustaining a single injury to its *checks combat report* body.

Over in the Purple Cavern, that other new FB is terrorizing some crundles that are trapped on a stone island.

Cavefishes here is pretty fucked up after fighting all that stuff. It, too, has slain another Forgotten Beast since arriving, which was probably made out of potpourri or marzipan or something.

After barely winning a fight with a jabberer (which is like a big, horrible subterranean flightless bird) another wave of crundles is too much. Immediately this badass gets an epithet and a first name, and history will record its great deeds for the rest of-

okay never mind. This one is a giant nasty scorpion-vulture that is composed of a non-water-soluble material. (monster design is too cool to have a sprite)

While all this was going on we've been diligently exporting treasures, which is apparently the fast track for site elevation. The king is here!

Looks like there's a little bit of, uh.... a little bit of forgotten beast extract. On there.

Just finished watching the original run of Evangelion. Fantastic, and despite all the clear concessions to budget, they still created what is now one of my favorite pieces of animation:

Also, once again Fanny outdid the original artists on this cover...which is PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE given that the original artists are Tina and Ike Turner! (But you can see the effort they're all giving - Jean Millington on vocals, especially, to match the vocal effort of rock goddess Tina Turner. The interplay of hard rock guitar by June Millington and Nickey Barclay's funk organ goes marvelously far beyond whatever Ike Turner/Kings of Rhythm did. And do I even need to mention how fucking solid Alice de Buhr on drums is? A drum goddess if I've ever seen one!)

I will warn you now, if you have not seen this before, and if you are in the mood to all-out rock: prepare yourselves. I can guarantee you are not prepared to actually hear (let alone to see) how good this is. (Hence it being...a religious experience...)

I just learned the Oppenheimer movie was based on a biography about Oppenheimer called “American Prometheus” which like. I couldnt think of more of a jerkoff book title if i tried tbh.
