The fourth clue was the hardest although it wasn’t that hard, and from what she had heard Alan was now wasted… she truly felt for his groups. “Last clue I’m sure you’ll do fine papers are there. And thank you for playing and celebrating the holidays with us.” Zelda smiled to the groups and then started saying the clue.
“I make a loud noise when changing jacket, and become bigger and delicious.
What am I?”

To be honest, if Zelda hadn’t helped him write this weeks clue, he was pretty sure he wouldn’t have done it. The papers were once again typed, seeing as Zelda stepped in and translated his drunken slurs into an actual riddle for him. He, probably needed to sober up. But with all the free booze, it was so hard.
“Las’ clue,” Alan slurred, staggering to hand out the clues. “Oh, merry Chris’mas an’ all.” Upon the page, in neatly typed letters reads the final clue. “When the countdown ends and the glasses touch, I am the one that people do want. I love to blow bubbles and am rather sweet. As the French would say, I am ‘blanc de blancs.’ What am I?”
With the final clues handed out, Alan could go back to his office and keep working on his newly enlarged stash of booze. It was pretty much the best plan he’d had all month.

Wes wasn't surprised when it was announced that there would be a scavenger hunt. They weren’t surprised when their partner was revealed too. Serissa was a very nice girl, it was good that the two of them were paired up since they already knew each other well.
They had an idea on what the hint was but wouldn’t say or write anything down until they met up with their partner. They picked up a paper with the hint in case they were wrong or they had to decode it a bit more.
Now the problem would be on where Serissa would most likely be. Checking her room wouldn’t be a bad idea right? They somewhat remembered where her room was and began walking. Upon getting there they knocked on her door, knowing that this is the most likely place she’d be.

He wasn’t sure if this event was going to be fun or if it was going to suck. At least he’d been partnered with Ches. Could have been worse. He could have been paired with James and put on Alan’s list. And Ivan seriously doubted that idiot would be capable of devising clever enough riddles to make Ivan think. He was very good with riddles and the sort.
That’s why when he heard the first riddle he was down to three items, and really, only one made sense to him. But, this was a team challenge. Which meant, he couldn’t solve everything alone. He’d need to get Ches’s input before they decided on anything in particular. Ivan would let her lead the way on the riddle solving. It’d be more fun that way.
Besides, getting some insight into the way the redhead thought was always a good idea. She was still a bit of a wildcard. As much as he found that wildly attractive, he’d need to categorise her logic sooner rather than later.
So he went in search of her, riddle written down in one of his many notebooks. “Hey doll,” he said, strolling up behind her, jotting a few notes next to the riddle. His thoughts, and then he’d write down Ches’s. He’d compare them later. See how she thought verses how he thought. “Thought any about this riddle?”

Collen had been excited about the scavenger hunt since the day he found out about it - and it was finally here. His partner was Ace, they figured out a team name, it really was exciting. He wasn’t exactly sure what Zelda’s hint meant, but he hadn’t given it much thought. He needed to meet up with Ace to think about it - after all - and then came finding the item - or was it buying the item - he couldn’t quite remember.
Either way, he needed to find Ace. He had photocopied his paper in case he lost it - or if Ace needed an extra - or any of the above, the dozen or so copies were in a box under his bed. Safest place for them honestly. Her reaches Ace’s room, and he knocks on the door, grinning.
“Do you want to build a snowman? Come on lets go and play!” He sings, okay, a snowman sounded like a good plan - maybe after they finished the clue for the week they could build one - if there was snow.
That would be fun.

Remember the Winter Solstice Scavenger Hunt begins tomorrow at midnight (Eastern Time)! If you haven’t sent in your team name, please do so as soon as possible. Everyone should have an awesome team name, don’t you think? I certainly think so. And remember, check Alan's blog and Zelda's blog for their respective clues. Clues will not be posted to the main blog.

Zelda was very happy with what was happening although she hoped that Alan and her could fit everything in their room. “Third clue!” She smiled looking at the groups. “Same as always papers are there.”
“A necessity to some, a treasure to many, I’m best enjoyed among pleasant company.
Some like me hot some like me cold.
Some prefer mild, some prefer bold.
What am I?”

Okay. He really needed to stop drinking. But he had so much alcohol from this scavenger hunt. He’d have to thank Zelda. This was a great idea. It was like a booze wish list come true. It was starting to affect him more than he cared to admit. This week, he’d barely written the clue down once, let alone all six times. He did manage to get three written though, one of them with a coffee stain on it. He was sobering himself up, well, trying like a normal person at least.
“So, sorry, only got three this week,” he apologised, holding out the papers. “So I guess, share? Or I dunno, take a picture on your phone or something?” The lopsided writing scrawled out his third clue. “I am often misunderstood. Taken to be for old dowdy ladies. But the truth is, I am timeless. With cream, I can easily substitute for dessert. What am I?”

The second clue was harder but it shouldn’t be too hard. It was more fun to see peoples reaction to seeing a harder clue. “Alright the second clue I’m sure you’ll all do fine.” Zelda smiled and pointed to the papers near her and then started saying the clue.
“Soft and cuddly I’ll pull on your heart.
But take my last name and I’ll tear you apart,
What am I?”

He couldn’t resist drinking the scotch he’d received from his first clue. It was good stuff, some of it even his favourite brand. He had the next clue written down this time, didn’t get around to printing it. Zelda would probably yell at him for that. But then again, it wasn’t totally his fault. He had scotch. He was happy.
Alan handed out the hand-written pieces of paper. “Sorry, didn’t get to a computer,” he said with a smile, grabbing his glass to drink some of the amber liquid. Upon the papers, in rough, hand-written scrawl reads his second clue. “I am French and made from grapes. Some consider me one thing but really, I’m not. Beyond age is my perfection. What am I?”

Zelda stood in front of her groups and sighed. “I’m not going to repeat myself so do not ask me to. If you need to its written down on the papers over there.” She looked to all the groups and smiled softly. “The clues will get increasingly harder. Good luck.”
“I am not a toy, though many use me for pleasure.
I have a butt, but I cannot poop.
Alan usually has me in his pocket.
What am I?”

Alan handed out the pages Zelda talked him into printing. “Alright,” he said to his teams. Ah, some of these teams, great. He did a good job picking them. “Here’s your first clue. May the best team win.”
On the paper, the first clue to his first item. “Made from grain, I am always Alan’s favourite. I’m loved best with a single grain. Enjoy the dram. What am I?”
