We’re gonna put on our delulu goggles and say he actually loves you and wants you by him.

jisung nudges for you to sit up as he purposefully takes the chair next to you rather than across from you. "it's done. just sit up and i'll feed you."

you peek up at him and see the pot of ramen he's made, now sitting in front of you. he stirs it with his chopsticks before serving some up, hand cupped underneath it as he holds it up for you. every part of you is screaming right now to lay back down, to go to sleep here, but you push yourself to sit up. work was killer, and seeing your boyfriend's pretty face makes it all at least a little better... until you see his disappointed face when you reveal you haven't eaten since you were too busy to. which lead to now: him making the ramen and frying up an egg for it.

so you let him feed you, his hand always carefully hovering underneath the long, curly noodles. the spice warms your tongue and throat, but you don't mind it at all now. all you want, other than sleep, is to shower... but that's a little too far beyond what you can do tonight.

"jisungie, you can eat, too," you mumble as you lean into him for a moment. "i don't want all of it for myself."

"are you sure?" he frowns. "you worked more than i did today..." but he takes a bite for himself. he immediately goes back to feeding you the rest, but he takes the occasional bite for himself.

soon enough, the pot is finished off. he sets it in the sink with water to fill it, and jisung is beside you every step of the way. he brushes his teeth alongside you, not saying a word when you sway into him at one point. and then he's curling up with you, arms wrapping around you as he snuggles in.

"--sungie?" the first part of his name dies on your lips, voice growing more tired by the second. but he hums in acknowledgement, eyes peering up to find yours in the darkness. you run a hand through his hair, giving his head a gentle pat. "i love you."

his lips are warm from the spices in the ramen, and you feel it as he kisses your neck. "i love you, too," he murmurs, and you already feel yourself beginning to drift off. but you hear the love in his voice as he snuggles in again, his embrace more welcoming than sleep for a moment, "let's sleep in tomorrow."
