Hey buddy, the great Papyrus fanclub is curious to see if you have an awnser for this... Does Noodle/Swap Papyrus have his own theme? Or is still a theme like Reanimation, Striking the Demon down, Melancholy, etc..?

oh man I would love to make themes for Underswap MH but… my music knowledge is beyond atrocious :’D seriously, I can’t even identify what genre most songs I like are ahah

but! once in a blue moon I browse the UT side of soundcloud and I can point at some themes I’ve encountered that I think match what I’m going for; obviously not claiming them at all, usually people make songs for their own projects and I wouldn’t intrude on that! I just have -1000 music skill myself and can only daydream to things I find fitting :’>

anyway Papyrus. by Grassinio is my fave Swap Papyrus theme, the more upbeat second half especially makes me think of Noodle! if I had the ability to make my own theme for him I imagine there’d be a little of the original Bonetrousle’s energy in it somewhere to match his UT Papyrus-like inspiration for puzzles, but that is literally the only idea I have and whether it would sound any good is beyond me

as for a battle theme, the only one of the three you mentioned that I’ve heard is Reanimation, which is super cool… but WALK - STAB - WALK is a bop and it stole my heart (I also did not know it was originally a homestuck song until literally just today, still great though). I’m still undecided about whether Noodle would actually have a battle or not, but in any case that song has the kind of vibe I’d want for it

It’s time once again for our monthly tradition! On this blog, we often compare Sonic remixes to the music styles of other games, including Sonic CD. Well, for once, that was the artists intent. No doubt using Sonic CD’s/Sega CD’s soundfont, this is a chiptunes, hiphop, house remix of Sonic 1′s “Green Hill Zone” with a little bit “Stardust Speedway Bad Future” Japanese Version thrown in for good measure. A remix and a mashup? Yes, please!

Yup! Due to Koffin-K’s character, Grassinio (music director and creator of the track) wanted to put that as a little nod/reference to Dalv from Undertale Yellow.

...Except we. Should probably ask permission to see if usage of the motif is okay with them. And we’ve been meaning to do this for a little while.

If by some coincidence the UTY team sees this, would you be okay if we kept the little Forlorn motif reference in Koffin-K Island? :P

Today, the Green Hills got dark, and Robotnik made a mean splash. But let’s move on to our weekly award ceremony and the results of our temporary game! More after the break.

It’s time once again to honor our amazing remixers with tonight’s… MUSICIAN HIGHLIGHT AWARD! This week, we’re honoring… GRASSINIO (A.K.A. GREEN GRIEFER) This artist is clearly an experienced chiptunes musician who knows how to have fun and work with various different digital soundfonts. They’ve only just recently started making Sonic remixes, but there is still plenty more to share, and I can’t wait! Look forward to that in the future, and with any luck, this artist will continue to bless us with more Sonic pieces.
