Before I ever played God Of War III, after first beating GOW II. I always imagined the final confrontation between Kratos and Zeus on Mount Olympus would've had Cronus appear and finally do what he failed to do all those years ago. Eat Zeus, kill Kratos and restore the hierarchy of the Titans or it's a team up of Cronus and Gaia against Zeus and Kratos and father and son would be forced to work together before eventually killing each other.

I'm curious if Atreus' animal forms will grow with him or are they already adults even if he transforms as a teenager? Because he was a huge fucking bear, like way larger than normal, and his wolf form definitely seems big enough.

I wanted to ask for I'm confused. So, Cory Balrog stated the Kratos in the Norse series is stronger than his Greek counterpart, but Thor kept saying that Kratos is holding back. Wouldn't Kratos have easily just destroy the Norse Pathethon if he were go Ghost of Sparda mode? Also, people say that Odin is Kratos' most formidable foe? So, is Odin stronger than Zeus? And are the Aesir stronger than Greek Gods?
In my interpretation of this, Kratos, right now, is more seasoned and experienced than his past self. Kratos has always been strong and powerful, just he's not as bloodthristy or motivated fight his hardest.
In the first fight, Kratos was 'holding back' because he didn't want to fight Thor and was trying to reason with the God of Thunder. Keep in mind also, Thor wasn't fighting at his full might either, he's mostly toying with Kratos and trying to provoke him into giving it his all. What stops the two from killing each other is that Kratos didn't want to kill another god and Odin had plans for Kratos and Atreus along with the idea that Thor simply loves a good fight. Not to mention, Kratos didn't have all his weapons with him, he needed to rely on his axe for that moment since he can summon it on command.
Remember, Thor isn't no slouch and even Kratos in his journal acknowledges that Thor's attacks pack a lot of power behind them. The guy hit the World Serpent so hard that it was sent back in time. That's insane!
In their second fight, Thor was serious and intended to kill Kratos. Kratos was actually 'going all out' by using his versatile set of weapons to overwhelm Thor and wear him down. If Kratos was 'holding back' or didn't have all his weapons with the exception of the Axe, I doubt Kratos would pull off a win and I'm a major Kratos fangirl.
Kratos didn't defeat gods by raw power, he used his versatile set of weapons and his combat tactics to best them. For example, he fought Cronos in GOW 3 without any weapons nor the head of Helios, there is no way for Kratos even kill the guy.
If you ask me on who is stronger, I believe Thor and Kratos are roughly equal in physical strength and raw power. It's just that Kratos is more versatile, creative, ,skilled , and smarter. Thor isn't a strategist and relies on his brute strength and power to compete with the latter.
As for Odin, Odin's considered his most formidable foe because Odin is more cunning and trickier than Zeus, who is more hands-on. Given that Odin is obsessed with obtaining knowledge, he has knowledge on a variety of magical spells that makes him extremely difficult to counter against.
The strength of both pantheons is relative. The Greek Gods are 'stronger' in terms of their influence over the laws of nature and elements. They even have authority over specific domains of their pantheon. Like, Hades has control over the Underworld.
The Aesir/Norse Gods are 'stronger' in terms of being more war-like and arguably fighting ability. As warriors, the Norse Gods are insanely more determined and stubborn when fighting Kratos. They can rival Kratos' fighting prowess.
Greeks Gods= Raw power.
Norse Gods= Fighting ability and skills.
There's a major difference.
So, which ever pantheon you believe is 'stronger' is all your opinion and for you to decide.

#gow #godofwar #retroact #retroactRed #retro #retrogaming #retrogamer #retrogames #videojuegos #juegos #juegosretro
