One of the few pieces of Pip merchandise in existence is the Fun4All Pip plush, released in 1998. This plush is notorious for being one of the most expensive and sought after pieces of South Park Merchandise, at one point selling for close to, if not over $1000 on second hand markets.

The exorbitant price of the plush is likely due to the discrepancy between Pip’s popularity when the plush was released and his current popularity, meaning a low supply but a high demand. This eventually caused a bootleg version of the plush to appear in 2023, 25 years after its release.

This, along with a Youtooz plush of Pip also released in 2023, has caused the price of the plush to go down somewhat.

wada sez: This strip is a riff on the idea of “black redecos”, a common kind of Transformers toy release. Bumblebee, Brawn, Cliffjumper and Windcharger appearing here is a reference to Takara’s blind-packed release of the Fun4All keychains, which had hard-to-find black chase variants. Magnus, meanwhile, has been drawn specifically as the then-popular third-party “City Commander” armor add-on for Classics Ultra Magnus released by Fansproject, with the idea being that the inner robot is the SDCC-exclusive Nemesis Prime toy. Marshall said the following on Seibertron: “I kept continuity references vague just because lots of continuity seems to scare people. It was written as a post movie cartoon/comic piece, with the Dead Universe as a 'classic' G1 version of the IDW one, but you are free to slot it in where you like!” Black-and-white lineart and full-res clean panels below, along with Marshall’s remastered version of this strip from his Tales From The Matrix Keeper zine.

South Park Fun4All Dolls

I spent a solid day working on a present for my mom! Too much trial and error in the details. She recently sold her old fun4all vampire Kyle, so I decided to recreate it in miniature form for her using the Kyle pattern by AradiyaToys (with adjustments to the hat because my green yarn in my stash was thicc) as the story behind her owning the plush in the first place struck a chord.

I had to paint over the felt on the eyes because the glue I used gave it random yellow patches x.x I traced a template for them off an image of another plush because I am TERRIBLE at that crap otherwise. I used acrylic paint and literally painted his fangs on with a sewing needle. Fabric paint might be better, but ngl acrylic has a way of staying in fabric when you don't want it to and this isn't a plush for heavy play lmao. I also stayed up to an absurd time so that she could have it this morning. I want to make Kenny too because she owned the Downpace Kenny plush, but I want to make sure that I use the yarn that fits my standards and keeps them to scale lmao

This plush is of Sonic, and was made by Mac Yucca. They were a Chinese company that produced the plush in 1999. The plush set was later distributed by Fun4All in the USA, in 2003.

A holographic emblem was attached to the plush, as a seal of officiality. This is especially useful, as bootlegs of these plushes have since surfaced.

so the experiments have been to see if i could find a good way to whiten the eyes on the old fun4all plushes without destroying them

i tried a 15 min stain treatment which didnt seem to do much and then a few half hour treatments with a 1/2 white vinegar 1/2 water solution and that did a little but it may have just been washing away surface level dirt rather than really whitening anything

BUT now that ive done 2 over night stain treatments with a stain gel (mines shout but ime oxyclean stain gel works just as well) his eye is looking a LOT whiter. notable that it even shows up on camera bc yesterday after only one treatment, it was really only notable if i told you it was there

going to do one last overnight treatment tonight and see if theres even more improvement or if we've hit the wall for that

Have you ever looked into what it would take to make your stickers/art into patches?

I was actually talking about that with my mum yesterday! Except for hand embroidering patches for my jackets. I'd love to do ones i sell, but I don't have a sewing/embroidery machine, and there's not quite enough interest in my other stuff to warrant putting money into a batch (and with lockdown and things who knows when I'd get them). But it is definitely on the agenda! I'll do some more research on it while not paying attention to my lectures today haha.

Though if I was to offer patches, what kind of price range would people be interested in? :)
