AO3 HTML link primer: How to embed images
Best way to do this is probably have a tumblr post or another image host site for the image and grab that as your stable link (DISCORD NO LONGER WORKS FOR THIS. DISCORD DOES NOT PERMANENTLY HOST IMAGES. DO NOT USE.) Once you have done that, you will want to use the following HTML input for the basics:
<img src="insertlinktexthere"/>
AO3 does not auto adjust image resolutions between mobile and desktop (I believe this has to do with the workskin capabilities and is thus intentional) so you have to do it yourself. To adjust size, you can do this:
<img src="insertlinktexthere" width="##%" height="###"/>
Widths and heights may be specified as either pixels (ex 800x600) or percentages (ex 75%). If you're going to do pixels, you'll need both width and height. If you do a percentage, simply use width and it will scale itself.
You can also easily add alt text this way:
<img src="insertlinktexthere" alt="alt text in here"/>
So to combine all of these, it would look roughly like:
<img src="insertlinktexthere" width="##%" alt="alt text in here"/>
If your embed doesn't show up/show alt text/size properly once you've saved and refreshed, you probably missed a quotation mark or forgot to close your span (These guys <>) entirely!
Rich Text, as I understand it, will do the embed process for you automatically, but you will still need the image URL for it to work. There is not a way to upload images directly to AO3.
If you have a fic where the image isn't showing but should exist, one of two things is going on- Either the author embedded them incorrectly (other comments will likely have pointed this out) OR their link to the image has expired (this is now the case with anything that has discord hosted images).
To anyone who is more well-versed in AO3 than I am:
How do you get pictures to show up in your fics? How do you get them to load correctly, and how do you fix them when they won't reload?
I am asking partially because I have pictures I could add to my fics and partially because a fic I'm reading has pictures that won't show up on my laptop or phone and I want to see them very badly.
Thanks in advance

Powerpuff Girls 2016 - “Never Been Blissed” (Not-So-Spoilery First Impression)
Since I did it for the other Bliss special, I might as well do a slight policy break and give a take on the new special as well. While I do not feel like there is any earth-shattering spoilers that are not in the summary, I am still putting this under a read more as it has not aired on TV. If you want to know how I felt already, click that read more.
Short answer:
Tumblr media
Long answer:
They advertised her existence like it was this big event. They made her debut episode almost as long as the original's movie. They made Bliss T-shirts as soon as the episode aired. And, unless it takes far less time to make a PPG 2016 episode than any other cartoon, they had Bliss return in the same season as her debut under the assumption she was going to be a big hit.
I was just expecting Bliss to just be there, but they do address what happened to her at the end of her last episode. In fact, they give us a ton of information about what happened throughout the entire episode. They even gave her a love interest named Logan. Yes, Logan, that's an unfortunate coincidence. They spend so much time building the universe of their Powerpuff Girls OC, they forgot to build the Reboot Puffs' own world.
The Power of Four at least pretended the Reboot Puffs we knew and "loved" mattered in the end. Never Been Blissed revolves almost entirely around Bliss, the Powerpuff Girls becoming side characters in their own show. The most major thing they do in the entire episode feels more like a way to prove that she is not a Mary Sue. It is hard to not feel that this episode has an ulterior motive.
I came in with low expectations, and while I can't say this is a "bottom 10" episode, I can not say it was a surprise, either. Even the "twist and turns" are so predictable that I had to put quotation marks; read the summary and make a guess. I am leaving out a bunch of details, but I will save them for the full review. As for right now, I can say I don't have a good first impression of this episode. My opinion could change in the next two weeks, so I can't give a rating here.
