Lore

These are general facts pertaining to VTM lore, as well as snippets about Des. There may be exceptions to some of these depending on Clan, flaws, merits, and rulebook editions. I will also deviate in certain places where I thought some concepts were either just unnecessary or doing too much including but not limited to love, sex, and some aspects of abilities. Warnings for: Emetophobia (On food), sex talk (On sex, On reproduction, On hunting), references to childbirth/pregnancy (On reproduction). This page is just additional reading and isn’t required.

On food - Most vampires can’t digest regular food. To them, it tastes like nothing if not outright disgusting and will result in immediate bloody vomiting. Some vampires can swallow food or liquids, but it’ll need to come back up eventually. (Minor Deviation) Des is able to ingest food, catch whiffs of flavor, but eventually he’ll have to eventually vomit it back up.

On the Tremere - A clan of vampire warlocks who have cause a lot of trouble for vampires as a whole. This clan is considered to have stolen their vampirism as they started off as an order of mages, hence being called Usurpers. There’s a lot more to the old stories, but Des gets a bit particularly edgy around Tzimisce and maybe even gentle around Salubri. On sex - (Deviation) Sex is possible for vampires but laying with humans can be risky for those who don’t have Blush of Life. Vampires are typically lukewarm and lack a heartbeat which is something that may startle an unsuspecting human partner. I prefer to treat vampiric sexuality on an individual-to-individual basis. Regardless, feeding is more satisfactory than sex for most vampires. Sometimes those two things go hand-in-hand. Des is definitely one of those vampires as he’s very aware of how beautiful he is. He’s willing to use other means of feeding for the sake of convenience. On sleep - Vampire sleep is more like death. Many vampires are simply plunged into darkness and awake the next evening as soon as the sun goes down. Some vampires may dream, occasionally. Very few things may wake a vampire, though they may awake if they sense danger or sudden change in environment. Vampires may feel tired as the sun begins to rise, but wake up mostly aware at sunset. Older vampires wake up later than younger ones. On the Beast - Vampires can become almost animalistic where self preservation is concerned. This manifestation of the much talked about Beast is known as Frenzy and it shows when the vampire feels existentially threatened. The Beast can be as violent as it can be fearful. It’s less aggressive aspect may simply come off as a call to the void. (Minor Deviation) The Beast may sometimes speak for itself, using the vampire as a mouthpiece and it may cause some temporary physical changes in the vampire.

On reproduction - Also known as The Embrace. The still living target is entirely exsanguinated with any means and then fed the blood of their maker (who is referred to as their Sire), instantaneously making them a vampire. For some, it’s almost sexual in nature and for others it’s akin to childbirth. The Sire and Childe are usually blood bonded meaning there’s an almost psychic link between them. Vampires cannot reproduce sexually unless they’re Thin-bloods who can produce Dhampir. On Clans - Clans are determined by blood rather than personality categorization though certain traits and skills may make you ideal within your Clan. If your Sire is Malkavian, you’re likely Malkavian. If your Sire is Gangrel, you’re likely Gangrel. Those who are Clanless are either Thin-bloods or Caitiffs who are typically frowned upon. There are thirteen formally accepted Clans, each with their own skills, abilities, cultures, and bloodlines. On origins - This is something that’s still hotly debated among vampires, but the mythology is that vampires are descendants of Caine who was cursed to walk the Earth for eternity for killing his brother and lying to God. While there are many terms vampires use for themselves (Kindred being a major one), there are some who would call themselves Cainites. There’s already plenty of mysticism and mythology among Tremere. Des does not buy into Noddism. On hunting - There are plenty of ways for vampires to hunt, imagination being the only limit. For the sake of keeping it short, Des primarily uses the Siren method which entails seducing unsuspecting humans and feeding on them during physical intimacy (sex or making out). On other beings - Within the World of Darkness, many things exist. Werewolves, fairies, demons, mages, ghosts, zombies, etc. are all real. Anybody could be one of these beings in disguise. Bram Stoker’s Dracula wasn’t a work of fiction, Grigori Rasputin was a vampire, and several human conflicts have involved beings who move through the waking world unnoticed. On folkloric protection - Only some vampires are affected by the tales of old, particularly some older vampires. Things like scattering seeds or ashes, garlic, crosses, silver, or needing permission to enter a home only effects specific vampires. Wooden stakes though. Won’t kill a vampire but when anything is stabbed through the heart, it will immobilize them until the weapon is removed. On Final Death - Vampires are already clinically dead and while they’re immortal, they’re not unkillable. Beheading, the sun, and fire can be fatal to most vampires. Hence the fear of fully transformed werewolves, heavy firearms, or particularly skilled sword users. After the Final Death, some vampires simply cease to exist entirely or may return as wraiths. Only the most powerful of Tzimisce who have the highest skill in Vicissitude can rebuild corporeal forms after death.

3rd year in Octavinelle and I made him only bc i wanted a whale shark merfolk oc. He’s a big boi and a little pookie. I’m not sure if I ever posted his UM but he does have one according to my drafts, it’s just nameless bc I couldn’t think of a name yet.

3rd year of my WIP fandorm Qilin, was the former dorm head until Yanque (2nd year, current dorm head) fought him for the position and won. He’s adopted and raised in a strict family so he’s actually pretty hard-working, he’s just also an arrogant lil shit (lol). I like to think of him as a bit of an honest guy

Calla Megrez

2nd year in Monarchia WNA (Az’s fanschool). I ended up developing her quite a bit in terms of trivia because it was really fun to do a “wild child” character. I also did a Black Clover AU for her because of it (the “wild child” aspect) since hierarchy and social class is a major theme in Black Clover, I thought it would be interesting to see how someone who’s generally rather removed from such social classes (due to being a bit of a societal outcast) would function.

Celestia Vikare

1st year WIP in Kriegskald and based off of Icarus! She’s a child genius who got into WNA early (13) and is basically a lil shit www a very typical ore-sama type character who gets super defensive when criticised but if you praise her it’ll go straight to her head (lol). She just does whatever she wants so she’s always getting in trouble

Clair Moreau

Vice dorm head of Lyrania (my fanschool WOA) and based off of the violin princess from Music Land. He’s canonically shipped with Lula (dorm head and based off of the alto saxophone prince) and is gnc. He’s generally pretty reserved but also a bit of a violin/strings instrument freak (specifically the actual strings. He likes pressing on those). I think I named him after the Clair de Lune?

Calixto Fynderne

2nd year based off of Narcissus, originally for Key’s fanschool PSU but like idk what to do with him lol, he’s neighbours with Lauren (WNA girl based off of Echo) and was her first crush but didn’t work out. Since most of his parasocial fans are girls his age, he’s not very good with women. His favourite food is also not disclosed for related reasons. He’s an awkward kid who loves himself much more than others, but you just need a lot of patience and maybe a bit of masochism to get him to open up www

Cosmo Dorado

1st year for Lizz’s fanschool DIE and based off of the Grizzly Gulch in HK Disneyland. He’s a very happy-go-lucky (emphasis on lucky) kid and honestly I almost had Komaeda in mind while I was making him because his talent is luck (except he doesn’t have the luck cycle that Komaeda does, he’s more like Naegi, though I also based him off of Uno from Nanbaka and unintentionally Orias from Iruma). Another problematic kid that does whatever tf he wants, but he looks up to the dorm head :3c

Claude Avenant

Music teacher and residential manipulative hag of NRC based off of Maestro Forte. Formerly a bigshot in classical music but retired and currently teaching as a bit of a hobby. I think I gave him a cane because Maestro Forte as an organ is bolted to the wall, so a human twisted from him would probably have mobility issues? It probably would have made more sense to make him paralysed to some extent but Maestro Forte is basically part of the room he was in because of all the stuff that’s connected so like???? The only thing that moves is his face and keys???? I don’t know man

Random skullgirls rpg dev log #1

Well, dicided to make the main blog an dev log thing. I wanted to make a skullgirls fan game, that will be story mode for my funny OC. First 2 things i did, is improvised New Meridian map and custom window skin.

The New Meridian map reference was taken from Parasoul's poster. In the SkullHeart forms, (official Skullgirls form) people noticed that the map of the city was hided in princess' icon in the poster.

The poor wip version of the map made in RPG maker MV with default tiles (will defenitly change it soon)

Now, about the window skin. I highy reccomend to watch the BenderWaffle's tutorial. He clearly demonstrate how to do it. By that tutorial i did the borders for windows.

Tried to replicate the SG2ndE's window skin, but it turned out too small. As well was afraid of adding the shining effect, because the lines was made in 1 pixel. Was surpised, that the engine was ate that with appetite. Will rework the skin soon.

Don't be afraid by the language, i forgor to change it.

Anyways, this all i have made right now lol. Hope i wont be lazy and continue to work on it.

Maybe after homework will work on statuses from Mobile. How should i make them, if the time duration need to be changed to turns? Guess will find out lmao.

Here we go...

So this is what I actually intended to write about 10 minutes ago when tumblr (and the changes that have been made on the mobile version) fucked me up so much I forgor for a second that I am panicking, so thank you tumblr because I am panicking so hard and I just hope I'll be able to for tomorrow I have my second exam in 2 days and I've studied so very poorly and I forgot to study about 19 pages of content altogether until about 3 hours ago, but I also still have to catch up on all the other shit I am supposed to know by tomorrow and I am just spiralling. I already called my parents(and my little brother) 3 times (albeit one was this morning to cry to my mom about my oral exam this afternoon), I am in a constant change from studying more and trying to relax because I won't be able to do well anyways. And I know that this subject is like my weakest subject because it consists mostly of learning lists and lists of lists and remembering the right words and details and

I am just much more of a concept learner, someone who's intrigued by not understanding some correlations and I love knowing how things work and I hate learning stupid lists by heart (is this the right spelling? I think my brain broke at some point yesterday or today) and I really should have thought about that befor diving into a psychology major where every single exam has to be brilliant just to be able to do a Masters. Like how fucked up is this? I have to do extremely well on all exams to have the right grades for almost all Masters in this stupid country (but thanks gor the free education at least I won't have debts because I got a higher education... but then againg maybe I won't get a Masters and then my Bachelor Degree will be a complete waste of the paper it might be written on someday apparently so yeay me)

Just writing all this shit down really helps with the panicky symptoms my body is displaying which is probably also good for my physical health because it can't really be good for my body to have a high heart rate for more than 24 hours

Also I only thoughg about giving up on uni and 4 years of studying and two more than half done degrees about 10 times last week and today so yes I totally lovw what I'm doing - the thing is that I actually do, I enjoy learning more about the brain, the human mind, how some things about myself make sense now I love the content... I just hate the situation. How every exam feels like a life and death situation, how I procrastinate until the very last possible moment and then some, how I have to know so many stupid definitions and criteria to pass an exam instead of understanding how the shit works

Well yeah now I'm gonna do some more much needed studying and maybe I'll try to get at least a few hours of sleep (because I now know how [those three ows in a row^^ are kinda weird but also kinda cool] important it is for the brain) and I might actually write another post to calm my nerves tomorrow, to do somethingother than worrying or imposing on my family and friends with long, negative phone calls until one of them snaps and tells me off.

Well at least I can tell you that my unsteady nerves are probably thanks to my highly neurotic personality (now it would have been much better to learn how to combat these anxious moments)

Also does anyone have tipps on how to procrastinate less? They would be very welcome for the 2(3) essays and 1(2) exams I have coming up in the next two weeks.
