"I need a favor!"
During a trip to the Spring of Courage, Zelda meets Farosh for the first time, and seven years later, she and Link meet up with the dragons to ask an important favor!
Three Months After the Defeat of Calamity Ganon
“Are you sure?” Link asked, genuinely surprised. “I would have thought you’d want to stay away from the Springs.” Zelda leaned back in her chair, her arms behind her head. “A part of me wants to avoid them, true… but another part of me wants to thank Hylia for everything– to let her know I’m safe and happy and that Hyrule is still alive, despite the trials it’s undergone. To let her know that by BEING Hyrule itself for a hundred years, I’ve gained a new love for the land and the people, and that I don’t resent her anymore.” She smiled lightly and shrugged. “Becoming something more than Hylian for a hundred years really changed my perspective on our faith, as you can see.” Link smiled lightly. “You certainly seem a bit more devout than you were before, that’s for sure.” He laughed a bit. “But I suppose, so am I– I prayed to a lot of goddess statues during my adventure.” “Weird as it is to say, I could feel it when you did. Every four spirit orbs being unified into a measurable boost to stamina or vitality… how many shrines did you end up doing, anyway?” Zelda asked, idly curious. “Um…” Link checked the Sheikah Slate. “A hundred and thirty six.” He thought for a few moments. “Plus the Champions gave me some additional life force when they gave me their powers…” Zelda snorted lightly. “And here I was wondering why you’re so resilient! I wonder if I could get power like that…” “There’s a statue a ways down the path that takes blessings away and lets you choose which kind it gives back for a hundred twenty rupees, but I’m PRETTY sure it’s evil.” Link shrugged. “It said it was caged by Hylia herself.” Zelda gave Link a look, trying to figure out if he was serious or not. “You… you’re not joking, are you?” Link shook his head. “Hyrule is such a weird place.” “I think I’m responsible for making it weirder. I got lots of strange looks while searching for Koroks.” Link waved to a Korok that was sitting on the windowsill. “And explaining that I was searching for tiny forest creatures that only I could see only made the strange looks stranger.” “To be fair, you don’t phrase that very well.” Zelda responded, giving the Korok an apple. “If you said ‘I, as the goddess’ chosen Hero, am searching for divine forest spirits to secure their blessing’...” “They’d have STILL thought I was crazy, because I barely remembered how pants worked for a while after I woke up.” Link interjected. “I like it better now, where only a few people remember who I am other than ‘That weird dude that came through, fixed everyone’s problems, and then blew himself up somehow before running off like a puppy chasing a butterfly’.” “I’m sure that living with me will make you much more well known.” Zelda said with a smile. “But for now, I’m quite happy to have you all to myself.” She turned to grab her travel pack, not noticing Link’s face turning bright red.
