Hello everyone Ricky Goldman here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its WWE Crown Jewel 2023 live at Mohammed Abdu arena in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia. There is a match on the kick off show for the 1st time in years its Sami Zayn vs JD McDonough. Very hot crowd, in this plenty back and forth action between both men looking good here,JD stayed in this and gave it to Sami even though he had a huge bruise on his ribs he hit a Spanish fly and came close to winning but Sami hits a helluva kick followed by a blue Thunder bomb for the W.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The match to begin the main show is Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre for the world heavyweight. The crowd very loud as this match started,Drew with chops and a snap suplex to Seth before Rollins chopped Drew then hit a knee to Drew on the outside. Back in Drew with a spine buster to no avail, both men exchanged chops before Drew hit a boot to Seth in the corner. Seth came into it again hitting a swan ton bomb followed by a moonsault but Drew kicked out so Seth followed it up with a Falcon arrow to no avail. Seth looked for a Pedigree then Drew looked for a futureshock DDT but Seth took him to the top rope hitting a super plex,Drew cut him off from hitting another falcon arrow then hits the futureshock DDT to no avail. Seth hits a suicide dive on the outside but Drew caught him sending him into the steps followed by a side slam on the ring apron. Back in and Seth hits a pedigree but Drew kicks out. Seth with hard shots to Drew but it didn't stop McIntyre as he went for a Claymore but ran into a superkick followed up by a stomp that didnt put Drew away,Seth going for the Phoenix splash but was met with a Claymore to no avail. He went for another Claymore but missed,Pedigree then a stomp for Seth to retain. After the match out came Damien Priest to cash in but Sami Zayn cut him off and ran away with the briefcase.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next here is Nia Jax vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Shayna Baszler vs Zoey Stark vs Rhea Ripley in a fatal five way match for the women's world heavyweight title. Nia took a rest on the outside as the other 4 looked for a very quick roll up. Nia in now but gets taken out again as the rest go after each other and all getting thier shots in. Nia once again back in and targeting the champion. Zoey pulling out all the stops as Shayna hooks on an ankle lock onto Raquel. Rhea and Zoey fight as they and Raquel get brought down from the top by Shayna. Raquel and Rhea turn their attention to each other which causes them to fight to the outside,Zoey flying off the top rope onto them she then hits her finisher on Rhes but Nia breaks the count. Raquel with a tanhana bomb on Nia but to no avail, all women fight on but its Rhea with the rip tide to stay as champion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To the next one we go John Cena vs Solo Sikoa. Cena was in control from the start trying to end it early it didn't last long as Solo came back in it looking a Samoan spike but Cena blocked one and ducked a 2nd one putting Solo into an STF but Solo fought out and put Cena back down but Cena wouldn't give up here. Cena with the 5 knuckle shuffle he goes for an AA but is met with a Samoan drop. Cena wouldn't go away and even hit a chokeslam to no avail. Solo with spinning Solo also to no avail,Cena with another STF but Solo fought out and hit multiple Samoan spikes to pick up a massive win against Cena.
Tumblr media
Now we got Miz TV his guest is Ibrahim Al Hajjaj. Grayson Waller came out and turned it into the Grayson Waller effect,Grayson got beat up by Miz and Ibrahim.

Classic Review: WrestleMania 33
I know it hasn't been long enough to be considered a classic but wrestlemania had a pretty long dry spell before this of being mediocre or just flat out boring and the wrestlemania that came after this... well, it wasn't too great either with a few exceptions. Leading up to wrestlemania these reviews will probably strictly be older wrestlemania's or events leading up to the big event.
Aj Styles vs. Shane McMahon
This was the perfect match to start the night. This match had no business being as entertaining as it was, but, then again you did have Aj Styles to carry most of it. Especially with this being just a normal match, no special stipulations added, and Shane McMahon being known as the ultimate risk taker in big gimmick matches, taking away the possibility for Shane to really do any breath taking spots, this was still a great match. Aj wins after a failed shooting star press by Shane, ending one of the best matches to start a wrestlemania.
Chris Jericho (C) vs. Kevin Owens
Best friends turned enemies and Kevin Owens challenging Chris Jericho for the United States championship. I didn't appreciate this match as much as I should have when I watched it the first time, I thought it was too slowly paced and cool down following the Aj and Shane match. But with a second watch I found out I was wrong, this was just a really solid wrestling match between two really solid wrestlers. This was a great match to go second but unfortunately going into it I knew Kevin would win since I heard rumors prior that Jericho would need time off to tour with his band. It doesn't bring the quality of the match down any, a well deserved win and championship run for a great athlete in Kevin Owens.
Bayley (C) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax vs. Charlotte Flair (Elimination Fatal 4 Way)
I wanna start by saying I am now and always have been a massive Bayley fan and even watching this live for the first time I wanted her to win, its just the way it happened and leading up to it it felt like the conclusion was undeserved. The match started great, Nia was the one common threat everyone could target and we got some great moments out of the short 3 on 1 against Nia. Unfortunately, Nia Jax was the first to get eliminated and after she got eliminated the final three just looked... lost? The match just didn't flow very well after Nia was pinned. Sasha was the next to get eliminated after being thrown into the "exposed" turnbuckle. It was an abrupt elimination and after Sasha went through the first womans hell in a cell and iron woman match I just have a hard time believing she would've been pinned this easily. Ultimately Bayley gets the win pinning Charlotte after a series of confusing events. I love Bayley and I'm glad she got her wrestlemania moment especially considering nowadays and it looks like she probably won't get another run with the title, at least not for a really long time. I think everyone else is with me when I say going into this wrestlemania I wanted a one on one with a heel Sasha Banks taking on a face Bayley and Bayley ultimately overcoming the odds and getting the win. Unfortunately she was a booked like a paper champion leading up to this match and she won like a paper champion. I mean, just look at some of her facial expressions during the match, she just looks scared.
The Hardy Boyz vs. Enzo & Cass vs. The Bar vs. The Club (Fatal 4 Way Ladder Match for the Raw tag team titles)
Matt and Jeff returning is probably the biggest surprise in WWE history. Many speculated they would return but everyone figured there was just no way and we were all just fantasy booking again but when they made their entrance the crowd was on fire. Unless CM Punk ever returns, this will be the biggest pop for returning stars ever. The match quality wasn't fantastic but Jeff Hardy hit a swanton bomb off a ladder onto Cesaro through a ladder and Matt Hardy pulled the tag team titles down to end the match so it gets a pass. I didn't think I would ever see Matt and Jeff in a WWE ring again, let alone win tag team titles and work at the rate they did, it was amazing to see live and even rewatching it puts a smile on my face. Hardys win and make a great wrestlemania moment.
John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse
I'm convinced this match is here so John Cena could propose afterwards. Everyone knew it was coming, it would shock me if Nikki was genuinely surprised. John and Nikki win by the way. Also, the reaction Miz got throughout this match was awesome, I'm a Miz fan so hearing him get cheered like he was felt great.
Seth Rollins vs. Triple H (unsanctioned match)
The build up to this match was incredible. This was building ever since Seth turned his back on his shield partners and joined up with Triple H and the authority. Seth was selling a kayfabe knee injury that honestly hurt the match more than it helped. This match just didn't pack the punch for me it needed to feel like Seth overcame something great. When I hear unsanctioned match I think back to Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels at summerslam. That was a killer match. But this isn't 2002 so maybe it's my fault for putting my expectations so high for this match. I wanted this to be an epic back and forth, spot heavy, hardcore match. But it turned out to be a slowly paced, not much to talk about kind of match. Seeing Seth win is always cool but the match was kind of a let down.
Bray Wyatt (C) vs. Randy Orton
This match was just not good. The build up was cool and unique and seeing Bray with the championship was cool but this match was just... bad. The random insects projected on the mat was unique but it didn't really help Bray at all so what was the point? Randy ended up winning and having another forgettable run with the WWE title and Bray will forever be known as a transitional champion. I will say, seeing all the cell phone lights during Bray's entrance was very cool.
Goldberg (C) vs. Brock Lesnar
This match was everything it needed to be and also this was the last time I was genuinely entertained by a Lesnar match. A short, hard hitting match was everything this could and needed to be. Brock got speared through a barricade so that was fun to watch. Lesnar wins after hitting ten German suplex's and an F5. You can tell Brock was even enjoying himself considering he fist bumped a fan on his way back up the ramp after the match.
Alexa Bliss (C) vs. Naomi vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs. Mickie James vs. Natalya
This match was fast paced, fun to watch and everyone got their stuff in. But I know it could have been better if they were given more time. I'm not too sure why this match got cut so short but I can only speculate it's because the pitbull concert that was uneeded. Oh well, like I said the match was short, fast paced, really good, fun to watch and everyone got to have their own little wrestlemania moment within this match. It was Naomi's hometown and she never really lost the title so it was easy to tell she was gonna win here. That and she was the only person to get a full entrance. I wont lie, even with the addition of Naomi I was pulling for either Alexa to retain or Becky to win it. I guess looking back the right person won, she got to win the womans title back in her hometown in the second to last match at wrestlemania. Very fun match.
Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker (No Holds Barred)
This was difficult to watch. I grew up with the Undertaker and I didn't want to see him lose or even really look weak. I know he's old and a veteran of the company and for guys like him it's only right to put over the young star but... its Undertaker. From a quality of match perspective it didn't feel like Undertakers last match but the send off after the match ended was emotional and sad to watch. People had to now deal with the fact (including myself) the superstar they grew up with was now riding off into the sunset. We know now this wouldn't be Takers last match but it should've been. I could've went without the Cena match and I certainly could have gone without whatever they had him do at Crown Jewel. To be fair, Roman losing this match wouldn't have hurt his image but this is probably what Undertaker wanted when I think about the kind of guy he his and the time he was brought up in. Even knowing the Undertakers future after this match watching the send off still made me emotional, watching him get speared and hit with chair shots and get pinned was still difficult to watch. I'm not going to say Undertaker was my favorite wrestler or anything but you dont need to be someone's favorite to hold a special place in their heart. The Undertaker is a legend, he gave everything to the business and he deserves to be respected as the man he is.
Pros: Aj vs. Shane, Jericho vs. Owens, Hardyz return, SmackDown womans championship match, Goldberg vs. Brock, Undertaker send off
Cons: Bray vs. Orton, Seth vs. Triple H, Roman vs. Undertaker
This wrestlemania had everything but most importantly it made me feel. I felt happiness watching some of my favorite wrestlers win, I felt excitement seeing the Hardys come back and I felt sadness seeing the Undertaker lose and be sent off and ultimately if you can make me feel real emotions for these scripted events, I don't care, you've done something right. This event embodies why I'm a wrestling fan, whether WWE intended it or not me and many other wrestling fans grow emotional attachment to our favorite wrestlers and this event capped off everything. If you're a long time fan or someone just starting to watch the product this a great wrestlemania to watch.
3.5/5

Seven Rumoured plans for WWE WrestleMania 35 PPV
fresh start by Vince McMahon, WWE's officials are reevaluating their plans.
The same goes for Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 35 PPV.
As per the rumours, many matches were planned to take place at WrestleMania 35, but because of what has transpired in recent weeks, it seems a new card for WM 35 is being considered.
Today we've come with the list of biggest and most prominent plans for WM 35 that are in rumours. So, let’s get right into the list.
Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumours and all other wrestling news.
#7 AJ Styles vs Randy OrtonAJ Styles and Randy Orton AJ Styles and Randy Orton We haven't had a chance to see AJ Styles vs Randy Orton on the big stage such as WrestleMania. The only time we saw these two men coming across each other was in 2017 when they fought for an opportunity to headline WrestleMania.
The two did come across each other last week when they squared off in a Fatal 5-way for the No.1 contender's spot for the WWE Title at Royal Rumble.
But, according to Joes Peisich of Barnburner‘s No Holds Barred podcast (h/t Ringside News), “AJ Styles vs Randy Orton is currently pencilled in for WrestleMania 35.” This could explain why AJ Styles recently lost the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan.
Maybe this was necessary for Styles in order to face Orton at WrestleMania 35.
Therefore in the coming months, you could see Styles and Orton involving in a quarrel. And that can happen as early as next month since Styles is yet to face Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble PPV for the WWE Championship.
Hence, Styles' match with Bryan at RR could be the last match before "The Phenomenal One" gets involved in a feud with 'The Viper" Randy Orton.Over a long period of time, we haven't received a chance to see Shawn Michaels coming across Daniel Bryan ever, thanks to the early retirement of HBK from in-ring competition. However, according to Joe Peisich of Barnburner‘s No Holds Barred podcast (h/t Ringside News), "WWE is currently planning to book a Student vs Teacher match at WrestleMania 35."Though this match sounds good in many ways, and we'd be happy if it was done a few years ago, but booking this match at this point of time will be a huge mistake as no one wants to see it, following the announcement of new-era.Moreover, if WWE will organize this match on the grandest stage of all, it'll be a huge mistake as Bryan is the current WWE Champion and there's no way that he's dropping it before WrestleMania 35, which means he will fight HBK with the WWE Championship on the line. Therefore, nobody wants to see this match happening at WrestleMania 35, let alone putting the WWE Championship on the line. We've never ever seen Batista coming across "The Game" Triple H. The same was mentioned at SmackDown 1000 when Batista teased a match between him and HHH at this year's WrestleMania.Batista said, "HHH has done everything in his career except beating him". Hence, this statement made by him has led many people in believing that they will finally see these two legends in the same ring at the same time. This triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair is being rumoured for a very long time. Why not? It's expected to be the main event this year's WrestleMania, and women in the main event of WM for the first time is definitely a big thing. Though this triple threat match sounds pretty amazing, this is not the match that WWE universe wants to see. Because if WWE books this match for WM 35, we'll not get to see Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey, which is a match that every fan wants to see happening, more than anything. And booking this triple threat match will kill the chances of this match taking place in the near future as WWE ends most of their storylines at WrestleMania. Therefore, I think WWE should book Lynch vs Rousey, rather than Lynch vs Rousey vs Flair. The match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey was called off due to the injury sustained by Lynch a week before Survivor Series PPV.This change in plans has led many people in believing that this match might take place in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Why not?The recent heel turn of Becky Lynch has taken her to a whole new level. And a match between these two women in the main event of WrestleMania 35 is worth watching. But only time will tell if we get to see a Rousey vs Lynch matchup at WM 35. #2 Batista vs Randy OrtonBatista and Randy Orton Batista and Randy Orton At WrestleMania 35, a match b/w Batista and Randy Orton have more chances of happening than Batista vs Triple H.Triple H suffering a torn pectoral muscle at the WWE Crown Jewel event is the reason that Batista vs Orton matchup might happen. So, unless HHH recovers from the injury that he sustained recently, Batista vs Orton is more likely to happen at this year's WrestleMania only if the animal still wants to be a part of it.

WWE Royal Rumble 2019 PPV
WWE Royal Rumble 2019 PPV 1/27/19 Full Match Card Info
# Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Finn Bálor – After Braun Strowman ripped the door off of Mr. McMahon’s limo during Raw, The Chairman stripped The Monster Among Men of his Universal Title bout against Brock Lesnar and made an impromptu Fatal 4-Way Match for later on Raw to determine The Anomaly’s new challenger. That thrilling free-for-all determined that The Beast will now face first-ever Universal Champion Finn Bálor in a highly-anticipated clash for the illustrious title. The seismic change began in the opening moments of Monday Night Raw when Lesnar’s refusal to meet Strowman in the ring for the second week in a row sent The Monster Among Men storming into the backstage area in pursuit of his Royal Rumble opponent. When he approached what he thought was The Conqueror’s limo and ripped the door clean off the hinges, however, he found himself face-to-face with Mr. McMahon. The irate WWE Chairman wasted little time dispensing punishment, stripping Strowman of his Universal Title opportunity and fining him $100,000. Before the WWE Universe could even catch its collective breath, Mr. McMahon announced that a Fatal 4-Way Match would be held in Raw’s main event to determine who would challenge Lesnar at the Rumble, as Bálor, 16-time World Champion John Cena, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin waged war in an unforgettable bout. Prior to the matchup, however, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal attempted to work his way into the mix, only to be bested by Bálor in a one-on-one showdown to determine which Superstar would compete in the Fatal 4-Way Match. Then, in his second matchup of the night, Bálor triumphed over Cena, McIntyre and Corbin to earn his opportunity to finally reclaim what was once his. The newly established showdown between Lesnar and Bálor is a classic matchup pitting the unyielding strength of the titleholder against the quickness and agility of his determined challenger. Although The Beast Incarnate is the personification of sheer dominance, one only must look back to his clash against WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series to see the chink in the armor, as The Beard nearly overcame Lesnar with his quickness, technical prowess and resilience. Bálor possesses similar qualities; will it be enough to slay The Beast and claim the Universal Title? Don’t miss the explosive Universal Championship Match at Royal Rumble, Sunday, Jan. 27, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!
# WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles – In what promises to be another classic title fight at Royal Rumble, WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan will once again go to war with a determined AJ Styles, who is laser-focused on reclaiming his title. The situation seemed simple enough on SmackDown LIVE back in November when the two highly-competitive Superstars looked to settle their issues with an impromptu WWE Championship Match just five days before Survivor Series, but The Beard threw the mother of all curveballs in the title bout. When the referee wasn’t looking, WWE’s celebrated “Yes!” Man suddenly did the unthinkable by completely foregoing good sportsmanship and ruthlessly kicking Styles below the belt to seize the gold. In the wake of his brutal subsequent match against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WWE’s Fall Classic, Bryan returned to the blue brand, casting off the WWE Universe and claiming that “The Old” Daniel Bryan” and The “Yes!” Movement were dead. The new WWE Champion also vowed that “The New” Daniel Bryan would never again give up on his dreams like he did when he announced his retirement. Although Styles fell short in their rematch at WWE TLC, The Phenomenal One indeed showed why SmackDown LIVE is “The House that AJ Styles Built” by winning an explosive Fatal 5-Way Match on the New Year’s Day edition of the blue brand to earn the right to once again challenge Bryan at Royal Rumble. Will Styles finally get retribution on Bryan? Or will his chances at reclaiming the WWE Title prove fickle? Find out at Royal Rumble on Sunday, Jan. 27, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.
# 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble Match – Thirty male Superstars from Raw and SmackDown LIVE will fight for the opportunity at sports-entertainment immortality when the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble Match invades the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7 ET/4 PT. The winner of the massive melee will go on to challenge for a World Championship at WrestleMania 35. A tradition dating back to 1988, the high-stakes free-for-all starts with two participants, and Superstars enter the ring at equal intervals. This continues until all 30 Superstars have entered the bout. Elimination occurs when a Superstar is thrown over the top rope, and both of his feet hit the floor. The last Superstar in the ring will be declared the victor.
Conformed Participants So Far John Cena ( Might miss due to injury ) Dean Ambrose Seth Rollins Samoa Joe Drew McIntyre Kofi Kingston Big E Xavier Woods Apollo Crews Baron Corbin Elias Jinder Mahal Jeff Hardy Bobby Lashley Andrade Rey Mysterio Mustafa Ali R-Truth (earned the coveted No. 30 spot by winning WWE Mixed Match Challenge with Carmella.)
# 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble Match – Thirty female Superstars from Raw and SmackDown LIVE will fight for the opportunity at sports-entertainment immortality when the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble Match invades the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7 ET/4 PT. The winner of the massive melee will go on to challenge for a World Championship at WrestleMania 35. History was made history last year when Asuka won the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match. The high-stakes free-for-all will start with two competitors, and Superstars enter the ring at equal intervals. This continues until all 30 Superstars have entered the bout. Elimination occurs when a Superstar is thrown over the top rope, and both feet hit the floor. The last Superstar in the ring will be declared the victor.
Natalya Bayley Ember Moon Ruby Riott Sarah Logan Liv Morgan Mickie James Alicia Fox Mandy Rose Sonya Deville Zelina Vega Charlotte Flair Naomi Tamina Peyton Royce Billie Kay Dana Brooke Lana Nia Jax Nikki Cross Carmella (earned the coveted No. 30 spot by winning WWE Mixed Match Challenge with R-Truth.)
# Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Sasha Banks – At Royal Rumble, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will square off against “The Boss” Sasha Banks, who earned her title opportunity with an electric victory against Nia Jax. Focused on looking forward on the first Raw of 2019, Rousey came to the premiere episode of Alexa Bliss’ new talk show “Moment of Bliss” poised to handpick the Superstar she considered to be “the unsung hero of Monday Night Raw” as her next challenger. That competitor was Sasha Banks. Nia Jax quickly took exception to being overshadowed, however, and crashed Rousey’s appearance to demand a championship rematch against The Baddest Woman on the Planet, claiming that they will had unfinished business from their title fight at WWE TLC. This prompted the arrival of Banks, who made it clear that she would be happy to defeat The Rowdy One. And when Jax stepped in her way, Sasha said she was ready to topple The Irresistible Force right there and then for the right to do so. The McMahon family responded by sending a referee to the ring for an impromptu one-on-one matchup pitting Banks against Jax, which would determine who would challenge Rousey at Royal Rumble 2019. The Boss reigned supreme against The Irresistible Force, setting up a first-time-ever title clash between Rousey and Banks. Boasting unmistakable swagger and a knack for making history, Sasha Banks earned her title bout in thrilling fashion, but can she contend with Ronda Rousey, who has dominated the competition since arriving on Raw? Don’t miss the epic battle for the Raw Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble, Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7 ET/4 PT
# SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Becky Lynch – Becky Lynch is coming back for the crown. The Irish Lass Kicker will square off against Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble event, giving Lynch what could be a final opportunity at the title that helped her ascend to the status of “The Man.” She earned the championship bout in oddly serendipitous fashion, winning a Triple Threat Match against Charlotte Flair and Carmella — the same trio that competed in the SummerSlam title match that catalyzed Lynch’s transformation into a boundary-breaking megastar. If there was ever a chance for Becky to tap back into that magic, this is it. But she faces a deadly opponent, as Asuka stands fortified by a long, arduous road to the blue jewel, with the opportunity to begin a new legendary reign standing in front of her. The Man tends to come around at the most opportune moments, but is she ready for this enormous challenge? Tune in to the Royal Rumble event Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network for what is sure to be an edge-of-your-seat fight for the championship
# SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon – The Miz & Shane McMahon look to live up to their lofty “best tag team in the world” nickname at Royal Rumble when they challenge SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar. The newly aligned tandem will face off against the reigning champions after good boasting from The Miz during the Jan. 8 edition of SmackDown LIVE. Talking a good game, The A-Lister cited his team’s ability to rise to the occasion – as well as a prior victory – as reason for being viable contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. Now that the match has been made, The Miz & Shane-O-Mac face their biggest test. Where Cesaro & Sheamus have years together and championship-proven chemistry, the “co-besties” still have work to do. Earlier this month, the pair got into a squabble over matching ring gear that eventually spilled onto Instagram and further spotlighted their clash of personalities (and style) for all to see. If they want to become “The Best Tag Team in the World” and add the SmackDown Tag Team Championship to their mantle, The A-Lister and Best in the World trophy co-parent will need to be on the same page at Royal Rumble. Can The Miz & Shane McMahon stop The Bar’s championship reign and prove to the WWE Universe that they truly are the best duo in the world? Or will The Bar surprise them with a reality check? Don’t miss Royal Rumble on Sunday, Jan. 27, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT
# Buddy Murphy vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Kalisto vs. Hideo Itami – WWE Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match – Buddy Murphy will defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Royal Rumble in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Kalisto, Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami. Following his victory against Cedric Alexander at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, Murphy told WWE 205 Live General Manager he was ready for the next challenge. In the interest of providing the highest level of competition for the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Maverick decided to kick off 2019 with a bang, announcing three Qualifying Matches to determine who would challenge Murphy in a Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE Royal Rumble on Sunday, Jan. 27. The first two contests came on the first WWE 205 Live of 2019, as former Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto bested Lio Rush and former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa emerged victorious against his longtime rival Drew Gulak. Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander – who lost the title to Murphy at WWE Super Show-Down last October – faced off against a laser-focused Hideo Itami. Following a hard-hitting and relentless battle, Itami pinned the former champion to earn the final spot in the Fatal 4-Way Match. # United States Champion Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – United States Champion Rusev will fight for the honor of his wife Lana at Royal Rumble when he puts his title on the line against nefarious former champion Shinsuke Nakamura. One week after capturing the title from Nakamura, Rusev had his United States Championship celebration cut short by The Artist’s sudden sneak attack. When Lana came to her husband’s aid by jumping on Nakamura’s back, Rusev got back to his feet and clobbered his adversary with a Machka Kick. Unfortunately, when The King of Strong Style fell backward, he landed on top of Lana. The melee temporarily stopped as Rusev checked on his wife, but the relentless Nakamura pounced on the United States Champion and floored him with a Kinshasa. The following week, Nakamura emerged on the TitanTron to claim that it was Rusev’s fault that The Ravishing Russian got hurt. An incensed Super Athlete went looking for Nakamura backstage, but he was ambushed by the former champion, who repeatedly rammed a production crate into his rival before once again leveling him with the Kinshasa. Now, with the United States Title rematch set, will Rusev finally get retribution against Nakamura? Or will The Artist create another championship reign for himself? Don’t miss the explosive battle for the star-spangled championship at Royal Rumble, Sunday, Jan. 27, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT
