Fake(?) Video Game Mock-Up
A mock-up of Untitled Yssaia Game -- sadly not in RPGmaker yet. (It will be someday!) Lines read:
DIACAIUS: “To him?” Not “to you?”
ARLASAIRE: I don’t matter. But for him, I’d—!
RIAVH: Arlasaire?
I watched this video essay on fake video games and got inspired. Staring at fake video game screenshots all day made me go, "Goddamn, I want Untitled Yssaia Game to start looking like something soon" 🥺🥺🥺
(Untitled Yssaia Game is tentatively, maybe going to be called "Their Erisian Designs"???)
Editing is GOING. I've got a lot more to do. It's hard, to be honest. But I do sometimes get new stuff like the new lines above.
And if you somehow DON'T know...

so last night I was looking at the seasonal artifact and out of curiosity I counted the number of beads on the top (not counting her sigil)
unless I miscounted, there are 23 beads which is hilarious to me bc:
Text:
“The Inside Story!
THE LAW OF FIVES
The Law of Fives is one of the oldest Erisian Mysterees. It was first revealed to Good Lord Omar and is one of the great contributions to come from The Hidden Temple of The Happy Jesus.
POEE subscribes to the Law of Fives of Omar's sect. And POEE also recognizes the Holy 23 (2+3=5) that is incorporated by Episkopos Dr. Mordecai Malignatius,KNS, into his Discordian sect, The Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria.
The Law of Fives states simply that:
ALL THINGS HAPPEN IN FIVES, OR ARE DIVISIBLE BY OR ARE MULTIPLES OF FIVE,OR ARE SOMEHOW DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY APPROPRIATE TO 5. The Law of Fives is never wrong. In the Erisian Archives is an old memo from Omar to Mal-2: "I find the Law of Fives to be more and more manifest the harder I look."”
-from principia discordia, which is worth a read since there are a ton of references in the game regarding eris (fair warning though: it is very much of its time so maybe keep that in mind if you read it)
anyway whoever did that: nice lol
edit: isn’t there something about the nine being five? or something like that?
#destiny 2#season of the witch#it’s surprising that there wasn’t a mal-2 on her fireteam tbh#am I discordian? ehhhhhhh *wavy hand* it’s cool to think about#also PLEASE don’t take this as some occult knowledge the whole book is a shitpost riff on religion but it has some good points#which is kinda the point

Summer Isles - A Starting Place
Hi! This is a blog focused on the Roblox game Deepwoken, particularly around a character slot I self-restricted to be limited to the Summer Isles. Partially inspired by Swampletics, and also due to my own personal favorite faction being the Summer Company, I figured it would be an interesting challenge to see if I could get to Power 60 on a character limited to an island without a major focus on progression. The main issue with progressing on Summer Isles is the fact that both a Lumber Axe and a Pickaxe are non-obtainable, meaning you remain locked to starter armor for a significant period. It is challenging to gain EXP, both because of this limitation and because of the second largest issue- the enemy spawns.
The events that spawn on Summer are very, very limited, and vary incredibly in difficulty. The easiest one is the explosives box that spawns, as all you have to do is walk to the box NPC inside of the town. But there are only four other events that spawn consistently on Summer Isles, and one of them is limited to the stairway entrance to the proper Summer Company building.
The first event that you’d be likely to farm, if not due to its ease but also its incredible spawnrate (Mostly once you’re high-enough level that you don’t profit off it any longer) is the Erisian bandit event, which a small group of bandits (Occasionally a white-shirted leader too, but I’ve seen the event spawn with only Leaders or only red-shirts) will fight a group of Summer Company Brutes, distinct from the standard guards by the unusual fact that they will aggro on the player at neutral reputation. This means that one of the most likely outcomes for the event if you’re unprepared is wiping out the bandits, and then being assailed by the guards.
The second event is the Ministry/Minityrsa scouts vs. the Navaen Nomads. This event is fairly even, as I’ve seen the Nomads win vs. the scouts several times over, but the scouts win over just as many times. This event is easy to farm if you’re used to the patterns of the scouts and nomads, as you can easily prod at them on a new slot/grip anyone that’s downed for kill credit and get a free chest and EXP, assuming you don’t accidentally aggro the enemies and get pulled into a 4v1 scenario. The scouts do have a rare, rare chance to drop Umbral Obsidian, which I’ve only seen with Lootskipper.
The third and final event is the Ignition Union vs. the Summer Brutes. This event is harder than the other two due to the raw amount of enemies that spawn, and their bulk. Ignition soldiers are strong, their Darksteel blades doing massive damage to low-level players and incredible healthbars making it take forever to kill even a single one at the start of your progression. This will become a very easy event to consistently farm later on though, as you begin to be able to do proper damage to them thanks to the PvE damage scaling built into the game.
Now, the Summer Isles has one other major issue besides the progression taking forever- its loot pool. The summer isles lootpool is frankly awful, and there’s hardly any weapons in it at all. The most common weapons I’ve noticed are Ritual Spears and Gremorian longspears off of the Navaen nomads, making it a wonderful place to start if you’d like to have spears as your primary weapon. A list of all of the weapons I have seen will be put after this paragraph, but the real issue is not in the lack of weapons. It’s in the accessories that drop. The Summer isles only has a few kinds of accessories that drop, and even fewer that give good stats. The most common are top hats and aristocracy coats, and tophats don’t give any stats unless high-quality. Aristocracy coats usually have wonderful stats, but have the secondary issue of being unequippable until power 45. Rebel bandanas are also common, which also don’t give any stats unless high-quality. But the real insult is the fact top hats sell for zero- you can’t get rid of them without dropping. Thankfully there’s an easy work-around for this awful issue- fishing.
WEAPON LIST - SKIP IF YOU’D LIKE TO GET ON TO FISHING AS A LOOT TOOL
Serpent’s Edge (Surprisingly common) Ritual Spear (Common) Iron Cestus (Common) Trident Spear (Uncommon) Forge Greathammer (Rare) Cavalry Saber (Rare) Darksteel Greatsword (Mythic. A hundred hours of gameplay locked to Summer and I’ve seen ONE of these.)
Now, onto fishing. Fishing is an incredibly powerful tool in Deepwoken, the minigame being harder the better the loot is. But you don’t need bait, and if you’re good, you can fish up several chests in under ten minutes. The loot pool to me is still unknown, but it seems to be Depths-tier chests, since I’ve found an Akira’s ring and Darkalloy Greatsword in them. It’s cheap too, only needing sticks and fiber to craft, meaning you can do it without needing an axe. This makes it nearly essential for Heavy weapon progression, as the Forge Greathammer is maybe not so great. Light weapons have the guns in store, and medium weapons have an incredible drop list of weapons that coddle them from early game to endgame, with a drop rate for the 75MED Serpent’s Edge, but Heavy weapons only have the Greathammer in the drop table innately, which is a slow yet powerful weapon that is only an upgrade to the standard Greataxe to start. This is where fishing comes in - you can fish up incredible weapons of all kinds from fishing, including Iron Birch, Canorian axes, even alloyed weapons. If you’re not restricting yourself to Summer only like I have, Songseeker is nearby if you’d like to try and farm for First Light.
To conclude, Summer is an excellent place to start if you’d just like somewhere different from Etris or the Isle of Vigils, with decent events for farming but a terrible loot pool, dissuading people from staying long. Wonderful for getting a fresh character off the ground and getting momentum into your run, especially Medium weapon users, but overshadowed by some of the other spawnpoints like Fort Merit for strong, easily-accessible loot or Etris for ease of access to map points.

OM was originally instigated by Ho Chi Zen, of the Erisian Liberation Front, who is the same person but not the same individual as Lord Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst, author of The Honest Book of Truth. The guiding philosophy is that originally proposed in The Theory of Games and Economic Behavior by von Neumann and Morgenstern: namely, that the only strategy which an opponent cannot predict is a random strategy. The foundation had already been laid by the late Malaclypse the Younger, K.S.C., when he proclaimed, "We Discordians must all stick apart." This radical decentralization of all Discordian enterprises created a built-in random factor even before Operation Mindfuck was proposed. To this day, neither Ho Chi Zen himself nor any other Discordian apostle knows for sure who is or is not involved in any phase of Operation Mindfuck or what activities they are or are not involved in as part of that project. Thus, the outsider is immediately trapped in a double-bind: the only safe assumption is that anything a Discordian does is somehow related to OM, but, since this leads directly to paranoia, this is not a "safe" assumption after all, and the "risky" hypothesis that whatever the Discordians are doing is harmless may be "safer" in the long run, perhaps. Every aspect of OM follows, or accentuates, this double-bind.

Things I have done in the past week:
Hosted an Escape Room
Filmed a Dance
Got Engaged???
Delivered a major milestone at work
And then I also made another breakthrough with my writing/edits. I've been chatting with @maiemorrae (thank you again ahhhhh) about how to fix my problem. Basically, I'm adding in a new Letter in Arc 1 that introduces the Demons earlier but I was getting caught up on so many details -- like, I knew I needed to introduce the Princess of Demons but I assumed I shouldn't introduce her siblings? Which was weird -- I ended up introducing her and her brother as against each other. But I also introduced her father and killed him and that might've been too far. So I think, even after I've written it, it would be better as two or three letters but I think it is FUNCTIONAL, if not effective yet.
I also did some more character sprites for Untitled Yssaia Game in the last week!
Speaking of Untitled Yssaia Game... I'm increasingly becoming attached to the name "Their Erisian Designs -- An Yssaia Game by Amaiguri" or something to that effect. (They say you should put your name in the title to improve your branding lol) I would love comments on the name -- if you saw a game called "Their Erisian Designs", what would you assume it is about?
Here's what I'd LIKE it to evoke lol...
It's been hectic... so thanks for letting me unwind here with you all 🥺🥺🥺

Musarañas Records Showcase: Erisian · Pedro Parque · Lullavy
Barcelona. <M> L5 / L3 Diagonal - FFCC Provença - Tram Francesc Macià +++++++++++++ Apertura de puertas - 20:00 horas Entrada - 6 euros (Venta exclusiva en taquilla)
