Eli Manning and Tom Brady were such an integral part of my high school sports watching life…filled with personality, so entertaining, loved their dynamics with OBJ and Edelman/Gronk…nowadays you could tell me that Mac Jones and Daniel Jones are brothers/secretly the same person and I’d be like “sounds legit”. I couldn’t pick them out of a line up. Idk the first thing about them. Idk if it’s just me not being as interested or these new Northeast QBs being blander than white toast :/

Anyway, I'm here now and let me just say that I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!

People can talk shit all they want about Eli and Tom, but at the end of the day, they are both men who clearly know and love the game of football. They also clearly know and love their teammates!!! 🥺🤧💞

You're so right about theses new Northeastern QBs missing that...✨certain something✨.

I honestly think that a lot of it has to do with marketing and also who these men choose hang out with during their free time.

I say "marketing" because that's how I first really became obsessed with Tom and Rob; through the "Tommy and Gronky" video series that they did for the Buccaneers. 🥰

And even prior to that, during their Patriot days when they would talk about each other in general along with sometimes being in little side projects together!! ⬅️ This point goes back to who they chose to spend their free time with!!

Anyway...yeah!!!! Both Eli and Tom commonly and frequently showed off how much they loved their main men while also allowing us to see what their true personalities were really like.

I admit that I haven't looked a lot into Mac Jones or Daniel Jones so maybe they have put out content with their teammates like what Tom and Eli used to.

But in general when I see Mac and Daniel during games or in interviews, I'm not immediately hooked in or wanting to hear more. 🫤 (If they're playing, of course I'll watch, but I know that they likely won't be having any fun on the sidelines like what Tom and Eli used to!! [Even if "fun" in Tom's case meant throwing tablets around 🤭🥴😝])

Another factor in all of this is that Eli and Tom never took themselves too seriously. They were more than willing to have a few laughs, even-and often!!-at the expense of themselves. They took games/game days seriously of course, but off of the field, they loved to have fun and be silly.

Of course you can't force people to show their personality if they really don't want to, but I definitely think that it would help to better establish Mac and Daniel outside of their main fanbases. (Main fanbases being Boston, New York and the general United States Northeastern area.)

It would clearly even help inside their main fanbases because I'm assuming that you are from this area and also can't possibly be the only one who feels this way!!

Last but not least: Maybe it is true you aren't as interested as you once were. Critics would say that you should love, learn about and stand by "your" team(s) no matter what, but I say that if your overall feelings/enthusiasm aren't with those teams anymore, then they're just not there anymore!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

And that's nothing to feel bad about. Interests change as people change. 💗

All in all, I see what you're saying here, anon. I understand all of the different aspects of what you're getting at. (:

Obviously everybody is unique their own ways, but I also think that Mac and Daniel could learn a few things from their predecessors about having a strong social presence.

To be clear:

I think that both are good football players who seem to know what the game is all about. I'm not knocking their playing abilities at all; only their apparent lack of relatableness!!

god im having so many anora thoughts rn and i lowkey HIGHKEY want to make a warden to be her prince or princess-consort. maybe not even a warden they could easily just be a companion but im THINKING it. ara'kian wouldn't propose the marriage to her because he (and alistair) are quite happy for her to rule alone, which means the pair would genuinely be a labour of love i think.

i dont have anyone who's the chancellor yet.... see the issue is a prince-consort would make the most sense esp in regards to my very out of canon worldstate because it would let her son rythian be a mac tir not a theirin, and also it would mean theres not a crisis of succession while anora is literally stood there pregnant with cailan's child as it currently is in my canon..... bUT i see her as heavily wlw. probably bisexual seeing as i do think her and cailan loved eachother but i think she heavily leans towards women, and a princess consort would just be sweet. princess consort who romanced leliana and then broke up with her when she realised she'd fallen for anora harder.

bUT then rythian would still need to be cailan's which i dONT LIKE. gonna have to do some heavy digging into real world history and see if there are any cases of homosexual or just unpartnered rulers essentially having an heir out of wedlock

"Smile Y/N! A picture for Mami before she gets to the stadium!" Olga grins at you as you pull a cheesy grin, you little front teeth on show.

"Chippy." You point to Olga's lunch and hope she's going to give you one of her fries.

She chuckles and puts a few fries in the side of your mac and cheese bowl.

Abuela Eli, sat beside you, reminds you to close your mouth whilst you eat. You nod and follow her instructions.

Having just turned two you were being introduced to a knife and fork, you pick up your plastic fork and use both of your little hands to hold it to stab into a piece of macaroni.

"Good girl!" Eli praises you as you begin giggling and go shy and chew on your food.

You take your time to eat your food, making Olga and Eli wait around for an extra long time.

"See Mami now!" You put your fork on the table and try to get down.

Olga is quick to stop you, a baby wipe at the ready for your sticky hands and mouth.

You make a stop at the car so she can change you into your Spain kit, Alexia 11 on your back like usual.

"See Mami! See Mami!" You skipped toward the stadium, holding on Olga's hand.

"When Mami play?" You shrugged your shoulders and sulked a little as you were still waiting for Mama to be subbed onto the pitch.

Eli keeps you distracted with your soft toy and a packet of sweets which ends up making you hyper and squirmy.

They allow you to get down and jump and clap to the chants and songs the fans sing. You go down a couple of steps to sit on the concrete floor at the bottom of the stand where the fence is.

Peering through the gap you look to see if you can spy out Mami anywhere but you can't see her.

Eli calls you back up to sit closer by them so they can keep an eye on you.

You plop yourself into Olga's lap and she explains what is happening in the game for you.

"Want Mami" You play with your bunny, beginning to get bored.

"She'll come on soon, mi querida "Eli smiles.

Eventually, Mami does get subbed onto the pitch. You jump up and down and clap your hands, waving them about in the air and giggling as everyone watches you. "MAMI MAMI!" You shout as she runs onto the pitch.

You begin to get more engaged in the game now, asking Olga questions in your toddler babble.

When Salma scores you clap again and giggle even more, looking around as everyone goes crazy. You don't quite understand why they're going as crazy as they are but you look up at Olga and flash her another big cheesy grin.

At full time you ask Olga and Eli to see Mami, they go down to the front and you look through the railings, waving at Ona and Aitana as they walk past to find their families.

You get a little confused when you see mamas teammates crying. You thought this was a happy moment?

"MAMI!" You shout when you see her walk around from the bench with Jenni and Mariona. "MAMMII" You shout even louder so she can hear you after the noise of the crowd.

When she spots you waving your hands and smiling brightly she leaves her team and rushes over. You see tears in her eyes too and want to be in her arms to give her a cuddle.

"Down Mami!" You tell her, trying to reach through the metal rails by sticking your arm through whilst crouching on the floor.

"I can't reach you, bebita." She sighs.

"Down!" You point to Alexia and stamp your feet, getting frustrated and upset as you just want to be with Mami and it doesn't seem to be happening.

Your not sure who, but someone lifts you up and lowers you over the railing so Mami can hold you to take you on the field.

"Mami no cry!" You gasp, putting your hands on her cheeks and pouting your bottom lip which begins to quiver.

"These are happy tears, mi princesa. We are in the semi final! Do you know what that means?" She sniffles, smiling as she kisses your cheek gently.

You shake your head and look at her, intrigued.

"It means we nearly win a trophy!" She grins.

You gasp a little and smile. "Trophy!"

Mami nods. "Maybe, if we keep playing really well." A few more tears drip from her eyes.

"Happy tears" You repeat what she says, using your little fingers to carefully wipe the tears from Mami's face, trying to be gentle.

"I like w- watch, I. Um." You waffle, trying to get the toddler babble out again. "Watching you play ball"

"You like watching Mami play ball?" She chuckles softly, kissing you softly. "Such a sweet girl." She rubs your back gently and cuddles you. "I love you, bebita. So much." She breathes as your head is buried into her neck.

"Mami? Um, Olg- Olgi show you my roni?" You ask, lifting your head up and running your finger down Mami's cheek.

"Sí, she sent me the photo of you eating macaroni." Mama giggled softly, happy to know that's all you care about.

You grin brightly and fall limp into her arms as she sways you side to side, whispering sweet words in your ear so you can hear her over the noise of the crowd.

She calls up to Eli and Olga that she is going to take you through to the change rooms and that she'll meet them upstairs.

You become a little meerkat, well that's always what Mapi used to say.

Moving your head side to side and peering over Mami's shoulder to look at everything and everyone.

You refuse to walk, a little bit shy in such a big place, so you stay safe in Mami's arms.

She holds your head against her as you go through the mixed zone, avoiding your face getting in pictures and videos unnecessarily as that isn’t something you should have to be doing at 2 years old. You didn’t need you face plastered all over the media.

“Mama you pretty” You look at her once your through the busy section of the stadium, looking at the way her smile brightens up and her eyes are all glossy with tears but in such a beautiful way.

“Thank you, my baby.” She smiles, rubbing your face softly and giving you more kisses.

“Look Y/N!” You follow where Mami is pointing and see Mateo running down the hall beside Irene.

You try to wriggle free, so Mama puts you on the floor and lets you run off to him as the hall is pretty empty.

“Hola Mateo!” You giggle, doing a little wave to the small boy.

You play together in the hall whilst Mama and Irene talk, cry together and laugh.

When you turn around to see Mami crying again you are quick to run back over and make sure she’s okay.

“Happy tears mami?” You ask, putting your hands up in a little shrug.

“Sí, happy tears.” She promises.

November 8 - Friday

Whew! Caught up at last!! (took me long enough)

Today was actually pretty good. I called Angel before school which made me really happy!! (I love him sm ill sob rn actually). My class wasn't toooo bad. The teacher talked sooo much ugh, but I drew the whole time so it was fine. I made my oc thinnn n pretty, love him. Also we had to go around the room and talk to people for like 30 minutes. 30. (did yk you have 30 minutes??)

It was so nerve wracking, especially because I was unprepared lol. I bet I looked like such a total weirdo with the lack of eye contact I was making, but at the time I was just trying not to break a nervous sweat LMAO.

Then, after my class I went to the library (on call w/Ange) and did an assignment. I went home afterwards because my phone was gonna die, and I needed my charger.

After a bit at home, I went to my next class, and I had a test in this one. It went good I think! We studied beforehand which I'm really grateful for.

We had a break in this class, so I went to walk around for a minute, and during this my mom texted me with:

"Eli

What did u eat today"

...

nothing. So, I said "I had some chicken nuggetss after my class hehe"

to which she responded "No fries no pop. How many nuggets"

GURL. So i was like "I did get some fries lol? and i got 10 why?"

and she just CONVENIENTLY NEVER RESPONDED. UGH.

(but wait theres more.)

After my class ended I went home and got ready for work. I was otp w/Angel (because seriously when am I not?) and he was playing minecraft. It was so peaceful and entertaining to watch and listen to him play- I loved every bit of it. Then, we talked about how we should play together (I ltrly will do anything to idc).

Work was actually ehh, not toooo bad. My dad and friend and her mom stopped by which was nice, and also my hairdresser LOL. They both tipped really well (obviously my dad did but yk).

I went home after what felt like one billion years, I was so so so happy. When I got home I just said a few things about my day like I usually do, and made sure to slip in the fact that I got a free meal at work. Which isn't wrong, I did, but I didn't get anything. I actually am just gonna let my friend get something tomorrow. but they don't have to know all that shhhhhhhh.

Then my mom stopped in front of me and was like what did you eat? and so i repeated myself bc no one listens to me <3

(I told her fried chicken tenders, fries, mac and cheese for context, a very 'me' meal tbh or at least it was)

Then, she was like "how many chicken tenders?" "no drink?" "did you finish it? all of it?" "so then you ate 2 full meals today?"

oh. my god. like. genuinely.

why. is. she. interrogating. me. pls. fucking. leave. me. alone. IM GENUINELY MORTIFIED AND HONESTLY IM SO AGGRIVATED. LET ME STARVE IN PEACE HOLY FUCK.

I tried to act like a normal person and be like ??? why are you interrogating me? BC WHY ARE YOU (as if I'm not literally starving myself)

She was just like "because I need to make sure you're getting nutrients." ok girl.

Then, I went to my room and she went to bed. I cleaned my room a bit and did a homework assignment, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

Also if you couldn't tell by now I fasted today. I was gonna either 48 hr fast or do 2 24 hr fasts back to back, but I think I'm just gonna do around 36 hrs. I wanna eat in front of my mom tomorrow so maybe she'll start leaving me alone (I seriously doubt it).

It just gets really frustrating when every meal I have she thinks isn't enough, even when I'm genuinely full. I can't eat like I used to like I physically cannot, she has to get that.

Anywho, I was thinking of making some cucumber boats tomorrow, I think it'll be fun.

Look at me meeting my step goal for once. I'm gonna start really making an effort at meeting it!
