Detailed Information about Steel Fittings
Pipe fittings involve rerouting the water supply via tees, elbows, and other pipe components. Reducing tees, reducers, and similar pipe fittings are used to modify pipe sizes. In addition to the countless variations of coupling, there are
ASME B16.9 bend
Schedule 40 ASME B16.9 bend Producer Steel Tubing Curves It is usual to have the pipe's diameter, wall thickness, and pressure contained within its program. The ASME B16.9 standard, for instance, applies to pipe and fitting diameters between 1/2 inch and 48 inches.
Steel Hollow Section
Tubular sections made from steel that have had their interiors hollowed down are called hollow steel. In addition to "structural steel tubes" and "Hollow Structural Sections," these terms can also be used interchangeably (HSS). steel hollow section suppliers are often used as beams in welded frames and columns because of their many advantages in building and mechanical applications.
Pipe Clamps
Pipe clamps, also known as pipe clips or saddle clamps, are standard, straightforward fixtures used in various do-it-yourself and professional installation scenarios. pipe clamps suppliers are channel support systems frequently used in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations.
Forged Fittings
Pipe fittings constructed from forged carbon steel, stainless steel, or high nickel alloys are known as "forged steel fittings." That's why Forged Fittings suppliers in uaeproductsso helpful to have a method of making sturdy fittings that forges steel.
Branch Fittings
Pipes that cross each other can be joined with branch fittings. T-fittings and 45- and 60-degree wyes are the two most common types of pipe produced by Branch Fittings suppliers. Considering the necessary sweep when choosing a branch suited for a specific sector is essential.
Heat Exchanger Tubes
One common type of tube produced by Heat exchanger tubes suppliers in UAE is the shell-and-tube type. It is the standard heat exchanger used in oil refineries and other large-scale chemical processes because it can withstand greater pressure.
Steel Angle
In most cases, hot-rolled carbon steel or high-strength low-alloy steel is used to create steel angle, also known as angle iron or Steel Angle supplier’sbar. It has an L-shaped section with two legs that can be the same length or different lengths, and the angle would be 90 degrees.
Sanitary Fittings
Cleanable tubing connections, known as Sanitary Fittings, are fitted in process piping systems to provide a germ-free environment. Sanitary Fittings suppliers in UAE like regular fittings, are used to regulate the flow of fluid by connecting different sections of piping systems.
Welding Electrode
Electrical arc welding requires electrodes and lengths of wire linked to a welding machine. A high amount of heat is generated by the arc created when current flows through this wire to melt and fuse metal for welding electrode suppliers in uae.
Fasteners
A mechanical tool or element, a Fasteners suppliers in UAE, firmly binds multiple items together. The pins can take apart or reassemble the parts without any problems. But they can also serve as fixed connections.
Conclusion
Tube fittings connect tubing segments to one another or to other tubes, pipes, hoses, or other components in various configurations, including in-line, offset, multi-port, and mounting. The straight components of a system are joined together by fittings, which are couplings and joints made from specialised materials.

Latibule pt. iii
Pairing: Sakusa Kiyoomi x Fem!Reader
Warnings: hi, the sexy stuff has arrived, so SMUT/18+only ahead, solo masturbation, blow jobs & hand jobs, mentions of hypochondria
Words: 5314
His usual spot at the cafe is taken, and he’s already decided to keep walking on, but somehow, somehow, he manages to catch your eye.
His feet are slowing, a stuttering breath stagnating in his lungs, all at once hopeful and bewildered, but before he can examine his fluttering emotions, you’re alongside him on the noisy sidewalk, passing him his usual evening drink, a pleased smile on your soft lips.
Suddenly, the world smells like velvety pine and heady bergamot, and he can’t stop staring down at you.
Notes: hello! this week has been a little crazier than i anticipated so i wasn’t able to finish editing the last part of this chapter - but don’t worry! i’ll have the second bit up soon!
Latibule
pt. iii: Roll shot - section i
when a player slows down the speed of their arm swing while attacking to send the ball in front of the defenders
[ pt. i: an opening ] || [ pt. ii: four set ] ||
His head feels heavy.
Kiyoomi blinks; eyes cracking open, peering into the murky darkness that envelops him. Little by little, he comes back to himself, heaving out a wearied exhale as he digs the heels of his palms against his face.
Where is he? Did he fall asleep? He can’t remember.
He’s splayed against something soft and he twists to his side, pillowing a muscled bicep under his cheek, somber brows furrowing as he tries to piece everything together.
Is he with you? No. You’d said you were busy.
So why...no, that’s not right...you’d told him you weren’t busy; that you were excited to see him.
He’d been the one who’d had to cancel. He’d hated hearing the disappointment in your voice when he’d called you. His fingers tense as they clutched his phone.
It’s not supposed to be like this. A week has gone by, and he hasn’t seen you. There’d been days of nothing but [ late ] texts and feeble conversations. It’s all so rushed, incomplete. It... he doesn’t like it. He misses you and he hates that it’s turned into this; a shitty, half-assed back and forth. He’s been so frustrated...no...not frustrated; angry.
Angry at his schedule, the endless repetition of games, meetings, and practices; angry at himself for not making more time, for not trying harder. He needs to try harder.
After he’d called you, cancelled your shared plans, told you a vague “maybe later,” all he wanted was to call you back; to ask [ beg ] for you to let him come over to yours. He wanted to [ hold you; be with... ] see you. It had been on his mind all day, but had he actually asked? Texted you? Called to see if you’d let him slip into the easy sanctity of your apartment? Did he? Think, think.
He can’t remember when he’d left the training facility. Practice ran long [ again ], and it was late. He’d thought it was too late to call you; you were likely asleep. So he must have come to his condo; he must have. Then... if he came home....
Nothing feels wrong, but nothing feels right, either.
And this isn’t his room.
It’s not a frightening revelation, but it is a distant curiosity; muddled by a sensation of heaviness that’s pressing against the back of his mind. If he’s not at his condo, where is he?
The air is chilled, but it holds the lingering fragrance of your perfume, and Kiyoomi’s nostrils flare as he dips his dark head against the softness of the mattress. It’s such an exquisite smell, that rich pull of patchouli and the balm of oranges. It’s his favorite; and he can picture you so clearly that he reaches for you in the darkness.
Even though you won’t be... won’t be... oh.
You’re warm under his hands, against his chest, and his lips instinctively work a damp line up the arc of your neck, his tongue and teeth sucking marks into your pulse, your throat, your shoulder, the shell of your delicate ear. He hums as he flexes his arms, rough fingertips pressing into the supple skin of your hip and thigh.
You’re here. You’re here, and he can touch you, can wrap his arms around you. When did...
“When did I get here?” he asks between caresses, mouth full of you. You don’t answer, opting to turn, slatting your curves against his angles, before easing your legs between his. Kiyoomi leans forward, resting his forehead against yours, raven curls spilling over your brow as he urges you closer, the flat of his hand bracing along the twin dimples of your lower back.
Your skin feels good.
It’s hot against him, holding the coldness of the room at bay, and he wants more of it. He tugs at your shirt, slipping it up, his fingers coursing over your stomach, your ribs, the gentle dip of your belly button, and the upper swell of your hips until you’re laughing, mirth bright as he strips you. As soon as the collar pops over your head you reach for him, mimicking his motions with his own top, teasing the cotton fabric upward, your arms tangling with his; eyes wide, and lips parted as you take in the chiseled expanse of his broad chest.
Your touch is featherlight; fingertips tracing over the coiled flex of his abdominals, and up the rise of his pectorals; stroking and exploring his exposed brawn. His hips unconsciously rock forward, breath sharp behind his gritted teeth, and a low apology slips from his curled lips.
“Why are you sorry? You shouldn’t be,” you say coyly, helping him fling his shirt over his mop of curls and off, the material fading into the hazy darkness as his hands slot you closer. It’s hard to make out the bra that’s covering you from his greedy stare, so he settles for a touch, easing a thumb under the wire, dexterously seeking the pert swell of your nipple.
He should’ve asked, he thinks, knocking stray waves of his hair from his hooded eyes with a jerk of his bowed head. He’s never touched you like this. But he can’t stop; not now, not when you’re this close, when he wants you so much.
“Take it off,” you purr, arching into his tentative pinches and pulls. “Take it off for me, Kiyoomi.”
Oh, fuck.
He bites his lip to contain a hoarse moan, touch fumbling as he reaches around your back, hands rough as they fiddle with the pronged clasp. Shit. He’s not good at this. Does he... can he pull it over your head instead? You’ve asked him to do it, and he wants to... he wants to; no, he will. He’s going to.
Can you just––Wait.
He shakes his head, eyes blinking. When did..? When did you move?
Somehow, you’ve disappeared from his side and are straddling him, your thighs tense against his, a pleased grin quirking your upturned lips. “What’s the matter? Don’t you want to?”
He gulps, tongue heavy behind his teeth, and nods once, praying you won’t ask him to answer you verbally. He doesn’t think he can; not when this ache is pooling in his gut and that burgeoning throb is making him shift restlessly under you.
“You’re so quiet tonight. That’s not like you, Kiyoomi,” you murmur, catching his hands in yours, sweeping his arms above his head. “Where are those quick retorts? You’re good at saying what’s on your mind. I like that about you, remember? Come on, Kiyoomi, tell me what you want to do.” You hover over his flushed form, slowly, carefully, overlapping his boneless wrists before pinning them down. You’re so close; he licks his lips when you drift languidly against him, your eyes vivid [ beautiful ] in the gloom.
One of your hands lifts and he twitches, a deep shudder echoing its way down his spine. The uncontrolled movement makes you squeeze your remaining fingers against his entwined wrists; reminding him of your control.
“Talk to me,” you entreat, tracing your thumb over his lips, using the wetness his tongue has left behind to part them. You drag your touch over him, cupping the other digits across the base of his jaw, teasing the tip of his well-formed neckline, your gaze watchful. “Do you like this?”
He nods again, and you smile, rewarding his silent answer with a smooth roll of your hips. The pressure against his straining bulge is electric, instantaneous, and Kiyoomi gasps; his mouth falling open, sharp teeth latching onto your probing thumb before his lips ease the sting with a hurried, apologetic suck.
“This is nice,” you hum, circling and grinding over the hardness that’s trapped between your spread thighs. “It’s such a rush, having a big guy like you at my mercy. I bet you’d do anything I say, wouldn’t you, Kiyoomi? Come on… Stop being so quiet. Talk to me. I’ll make you feel good, I promise.”
He bucks at that, his back arching as he ruts upward, rubbing himself against you until he’s panting. Damn it. It… It’s not enough. You’re too far, and that ache, fuck, that ache keeps spreading. It’s making his head spin, but he wants so much more.
“Come here,” he grunts, surging forward, hunting for your lips, for anything [ everything ] he can reach.
“That’s better,” you croon, holding yourself away from his desperation, running your saliva dampened thumb down the robust lines of his chest as you watch him writhe. “Tell me, Kiyoomi, what do you want?” His eyes wince closed, and a hissed moan falls between his teeth. He doesn’t… He wants…
“I–” he begins, lashes fluttering open as he looks for you. “I want… I want to… wait–Wait.”
Huh?
He’d blinked; now you’re under him, trapped between his braced arms. Your arms curl around his shoulders, one bent knee and arched ankle wrapping over the back of his thigh, your head tilting curiously against the sheets.
“Why did you stop?” you question, urging him down to your lips, “you didn’t finish telling me what you want.”
He’s inches from you; can feel the steady puffs of your breath when he stops himself, pulling away and easing onto his haunches, obsidian eyes wide. What’s going on?
“How did you do that?”
“Do what?” you ask, following him, crawling across his tensed thighs, lifting your fingers to tangle in his dark curls.
“Where are we?” Kiyoomi rasps, already bowled by the catch of your covered breasts and the heat of your bare skin against his.
“Don’t you remember?”
[ Wake up ]
“No,” he swallows thickly, easing you into a more comfortable position; helping you to steady your thighs on either side of his hips as his hands rest between the jut of your shoulder blades. “Am I at your place?”
“Uh-uh,” you smile, lowering your fingers from his scalp, reaching behind yourself to trace them over his own. The stretch of your arms makes your back bow and his eyes fall to the tantalizing swell of your cleavage, full lips parting as he curves himself over you.
“Then...” he grits, his splayed digits jolting as you slip him down to that tempting clasp of your bra once more. “I don’t understand. Where are we? How did you… how did we get here?”
“Does it matter?” You help him pull the metal eyelets apart, and the give of the elastic, the hollow dip of the cups that are modestly covering your plush breasts, makes his heart thud against his ribs.
“Kiyoomi,” you breathe, leaning close, your lips sucking against his earlobe, “It’ll be ok, touch me.” But when he reaches for you, the world fades into a blinding emptiness.
[ Wake up ][ Wake up ][ Wake up ][ Wake up ][ Wake up ][ Wake up ]
Kiyoomi gasps, surging from his pillow; sleep thickened tongue catching in his mouth, making him cough and sputter into the stuffy darkness of his bedroom. He feels breathless; lips agape, long fingers curling behind his head as he hunches over bent knees. Damn it. A dream. It was a fucking, ah…
The drape of his thin sheet covers hips, cloaking his straining [ aching ] want, but he knows he can’t ignore it. Not when he can still see you, can feel the remnants of your touch, the whisper of your voice; no, he’s too far gone.
He’ll need to deal with it.
The fine mist from his shower fills the bathroom and Kiyoomi steps under the heated spray, dampening his thick waves, before catching the water between his palms, splashing it over his burning cheeks.
Just dream; a lucid dream, one that seemed so alive, so full of you. He can’t shake the sight of your avid want out of his head. You were so forward, eager to touch him, to tease him. And when you’d clasped his hands above his head, he’d almost–damn. The heat of the water isn’t helping with these remembrances, but he doesn’t want to dim this.
He wants to see it through.
His palm drifts down his stomach, sliding past the trimmed thatch of curls and stroking over the aching hardness of his cock. The tip is swollen, flushed, and he easily gathers the beading pre-cum, coating his fingers before starting that familiar squeeze and tug that will lift him out of this lust-filled haze. He goes slowly, [ it’s more about the pressure than the speed for him, anyway ] gripping the base before he swipes forward, and his hips follow the rhythm, bare feet restless against the slippery tiles.
Your hand is smaller than his.
Would you need to use both? Would you start like this? With your fingers caressing over his velvet softness until he’s blanketing your touch with his, showing you what he likes. Or would you linger against his tip? Using your thumb to send sparks up and down his spine as you stroke over his slit.
Kiyoomi groans at that thought, one palm bracing against the wall as he leans forward, cascading heated water over his muscled back. His own thumb mimics the vision that’s in his head, and the sensation makes his hips rock forward as another line of pre-cum dribbles between his fingers. Oh fuck, that feels good.
Would you want to taste him?
Run your lips under the weight of his engorged dick, your tongue lapping over his veins until he’s a heaving mess above you? Would you like that?
He can picture you stepping into the steamed metal and glass of the shower with him, your body pressing close as you scatter kisses against his neck, your hands reaching for him. You’re gentle; so gentle it makes his teeth ache, but he doesn’t want gentle. Not now. He pushes against your shoulders, forcing you to fall to your knees, to peer up at him from the sopping floor, that beguiling smile on your lips as you stroke your hands along his tensed thighs.
You’re so pretty.
He cradles your cheek as he lures you forward, hissing out a string of low curses when you cup his balls, and slick your fingers against his bulbous head, working your palm over him until he’s gasping. When your lips part and you draw him into your mouth, his head thumps dully against the wall; broad chest stained with splotches of pink, hands shaking as he holds you between them.
Your cheeks hollow and he watches the up and down motion of your languid bob through drooped lashes; obsidian eyes faded. You’re taking him so well; tongue licking under him before slurping up to his slit, fringing the tip along the trickling flow of his needy cock.
Fuck, you’re so damn perfect.
He’s moaning out your name now, and his dick is throbbing from the rough tugs he’s inflicting upon himself, but he can’t stop; not when he can almost feel [ see ] you.
When he [ accidentally, he swears ] thrusts himself deeper into your wet mouth, he’s got an apology against his lips, but you shake your head, a low laugh reverberating around his pulsing cock as you suckle him harder. [ Yes ] he says, combing his fingernails across your scalp, [ good, girl, just like that. ] He can feel your grin, the answering rumble of your moan, the teasing squeeze of your water pruned fingers against the meat of his buttocks, and he’s lost.
His cum splatters bone white across the dark tiles and Kiyoomi falls to the floor, [ alone ] his limbs shaking and heart pounding. He runs a trembling hand through his wet curls.
Fuck. It’s not… it’s not enough.
There’s no way he’ll be able to sleep now.
They’re losing this set.
Sure, it’s a team effort, but his feeble performance isn’t helping.
None of his serves are landing, and a good deal of his blocks are a tempo behind. It’s not enough to bench him, but he can feel the eyes of his captain, and Miya’s made it abundantly clear that he won’t set for him again until he proves he can get past a ‘‘freakin’ two man block’.
It’s not a matter of caution, or upping his momentum. This slump isn’t about his preparedness as a volleyball player; but that doesn’t matter, he reminds himself, bracing into his slouched ready position. No amount of coaching, or smack talk from his teammates can give him back his sleep.
After his shower, he’d sat in front of his bedroom’s standing fan, a towel draped over his bowed head, and stared at his waterlogged fingers. He’s masturbated plenty of times; it was something quick, or scratched a dull itch. Never anything more than a mindless stroke and pull; a routine. As easy as hopping in the shower, or changing his clothes. It meant nothing.
But last night?
It felt like he’d slipped back into that dream; like all he needed to do was reach out and touch you. This time he couldn’t get it [ get you ] out of his head, and he’d spent the rest of his precious twilight hours replaying those heady visions; a hand stroking over his cock and teeth gritted against the pain of his self-inflicted overstimulation.
But it’s not enough. After all, none of these fevered imaginings have a real life comparison; not yet.
You’ve both taken things slow. Sure, there had been moments. Points when he wanted to keep pressing, or when you took your touches lower, keen fingers cupping him over the rough material of his clothes. But neither of you broached that last boundary.
When would you have had the time?
If he didn’t have a practice, a game, or a meeting, then you had a job interview, or a shift at the coffee shop. Some days even going to dinner felt exhausting, and both of you had drifted into an unsteady doze against the other [ on the train - your couch - as you leaned against him at the dinner table, or when he leaned against you in the station's emptiness ] on more than one occasion. Most people are busy; it’s expected, but it feels like he’s missing something. Other members on his team have wives, long-term partners, or kids; so how do they do it? Is it scheduled? Or are they content with those short 4 or 5 hours bursts? Is that really enough time?
Maybe he’s being greedy, but with you, how can he not be?
“Sakusa,” the assistant coach calls from across the gym, breaking him out of his myriad of thoughts. “Next time out, come see me.”
Miya laughs, sucking his teeth obnoxiously from center court; golden head flashing under the lights before giving him a knowing leer. Kiyoomi takes a deep inhale, pointedly avoiding those umber eyes, focusing on the stretch of his long arms as he rolls them forward and back.
Damn it.
His shoulder hurts, he thinks glumly, listening for the starting whistle as he eases his muscles, tenderly poking at the strained tissue. Maybe he should have gone a little easier in the shower… on his futon? Not gone as fast or as hard? But the image of you had come so easily, and it’s been so long since he’s had the chance to see you, to touch you. Of course he’d been excited; ready to release that pent up pressure.
Tch, wouldn’t that be the icing on the cake? MSBY’s star wing spiker, Sakusa Kiyoomi, forced to sit out because he tore his rotator cuff during masturbation. It’d be just his luck.
“You needed to see me?” Kiyoomi asks, toweling the perspiration off his curls as he tempers himself for a discussion about his lousy receives and sloppy serves.
“Ah! Yes!” the assistant coach nods. “I realize you’re missing the meeting for that event, but I need to go over a few points with you before you take off. About the recent change in rotation, are you alright with your placement on the–Hey?Sakusa? Are you listening? You… seem a little off today. You alright?”
No, he’s not ok.
His nails cut into his palms, and he can hear his teeth grinding between his clenched lips. Shit. Five weeks, he’d had five weeks to ask you. Plenty of time.
Sure, he had a packed schedule, and you’d been busy with your own work, but how had something this important slipped his mind? He shouldn’t have waited. He should have asked you the first night he’d seen the invitation.
It’s such a simple thing, asking you if he could come; he’d talked to his coaches about it, but he’d neglected to speak to the one person who mattered; had the final say. How could he be so stupid?
“Sakusa… Hey, you look pale, do you need to sit, or–”
“I’m fine,” he sighs, giving his fists a last squeeze before looking up at the bewildered face of the assistant coach. “I forgot to check on something.”
“Really? That’s not like you. You’re usually on top of stuff.”
“I know. I’ll take care of it during the break.”
“Will that be enough time? I can–”
“No, I’ll handle it. What were you saying about the rotation?”
The cafe is busy, but he cuts past the bustle, using his imposing height and sturdy build to shoulder his way to the divider that separates you from the main floor. You don’t see him at first, too focused on the timing of your shots and the velvety foam that you’re building in your steaming pitcher, but when you look up, spying his engrossed gaze, your face lights up.
“Oh my God! Hey! I didn’t know you were coming by! You guys on a mid-morning break? You want your latte? Or just a coffee again?”
“I didn’t order anything,” he blurts, running his tongue over his mask-covered lips.
Damn. It’s so good to see you; to watch you move, see that grin, hear your voice, be this close to you. Yes, the dream was nice, but his fevered imagination paled compared to this.
To you.
His remembrances hadn’t fully captured the glow of your face, the brightness of your eyes, and the ease of your smile. You’re so [ beautiful ] pretty. The stark vibrancy makes him want to reach for you. To see if he at least got the warmth of your skin right, or the familiar slide of your touch against his.
No, focus; that’s not why he’s here, and he doesn’t have much time.
“That’s alright,” you continue, seamlessly topping off a drink as you grin up at him. “I’ll just add yours to my tab. So you want a coffee or a latte?”
“Uh, I–coffee? It’s quick.”
“Oh,” you remark, arching your eyes at his sober explanation. “You running behind? You didn’t need to walk all the way down here if you didn’t have time.”
He’s about to elaborate on his belated presence when you break away, walking to the brewing urns. Shit, he should have said he didn’t want anything, he thinks sullenly, sinking his curled fists into his jacket. Now it looks like he only traipsed down here for the caffeine. This isn’t going the way he wanted it to. Not that he had a concrete plan, but it feels like he can’t get off the back foot today.
Kiyoomi puffs out a stilted sigh, twisting his head to glance at the clock by the door. It’s alright; he’s got a little more time. Just ask her about it. Say sorry for waiting so long to ask, but he wants to see if he can go with you tonight... and if you have plans, if you tell him no, then it’s not the end of the world. There will be other chances, other events, but he’ll understand [ hate it ] if he misses this one.
He’s so lost in thought that it takes you calling his name twice to snap him out of his head.
“What?”
“I said, here’s your coffee. You alright? You look preoccupied,” you note, passing him an insulated to-go cup brimming with the aromatic house brew.
Ask her. Stop stalling.
“I’m fine. Your event, I mean that Dean’s welcome thing. At your school. It’s tonight, right?”
“Welcome– um, event?” you question, tapping a used espresso puck from your portafilter. “What do–Oh! The panel. Yeah, it’s tonight. How did you–”
“Saw it on your fridge,” he gulps, fingers twitching around the sharp heat of his cup. [ Please, don’t say he’s too late. ]
The puzzled cock of your head straightens, and you chuckle. “Ahh, right. Totally forgot I’d put it up there. I always clip the things I need to remember on the door, hoping that seeing it every day will somehow keep it in my collective consciousness, but clearly that doesn’t work too well, huh? God, I don’t think I’ve looked at that for months, I’m surprised you noticed it.”
“Can I come?”
Your eyes are wide when you look up at him, your raised hand rotating the steam wand off, meeting his obsidian gaze through a mist of condensation. He knows his dark brows are knitted, that his head is likely comically dipped forward, but he hopes he looks sincere. He wants to go with you so badly. Then, tentatively, your lips curl into that amiable smile, and he lets a belated breath leave his lungs. [ Yes. ]
“Uh, sure! I feel like I have to warn you though... it’s not going to be the most exciting thing we’ve ever done, but, yeah, I’d... I’d like that. I’d like that a lot.”
“Good,” he nods, easing his shoulders back, glad to feel some of that coiled tension dissipating. “I’m sorry, I can’t stay. Text me the time?”
Wait. Leave? Already? But he just got here…
“I–sure, I’ll do that,” you fumble, blinking after Kiyoomi’s half turned back.
“See you soon,” he murmurs, voice catching against his hidden smile. “Have a good day.”
Hold on. He can’t just walk in here, tell you he wants to go to your boring faculty meet and greet, and then walk back out like nothing happened. This is... well... for the two of you, it’s big. It’s almost like you’re making this whole thing… official. Something where you’ll need to introduce him to others. To say he’s with… with you. Will he want you to call him your… your…
No. That’s not what’s important right now. You’ve hardly seen him these past few weeks. Who does he think he is? Swooping in, turning your whole day around, and then coolly heading back to his practice.
No way; you’re not gonna let him go, not like this.
“Saku–Kiyoomi!” you call out, stepping away from the heat of the espresso machine, and the long line of drinks that are waiting for your attention, your feet pattering across the dark flooring, following his long strides as he makes his way across the cafe. He stops when he hears your earnest cry, dark eyes watchful as he meets yours, and you gasp out a choked laugh. Great. You got his attention and now you don’t even remember what you were gonna say.
Your cumbersome fingers tingle as you fiddle with the knotted strings of your apron, and you shake your head at your abashed clumsiness, but when you glance at the door again he’s still waiting, his stark gaze following your movements. Finally, fucking finally, you’re free and you fling the cotton apron across a back counter, calling a quick excuse to a snickering Kane as you rush to Kiyoomi’s side.
“Hey, sorry, I know you–look, just… it’ll only take a second, promise,” you gasp, snatching at the corner of his jacket.
Your grip brushes against the arch of his wrist and he sucks in a drag of air, jerking his hand out of his pocket and wrapping it up with yours, interlacing warm fingers as you lead him outside. Soft; your touch is so very soft, and he clasps you tighter, pulse drumming against his breastbone. He’s been waiting for [ missed ] this.
“Sorry,” you pant, hauling him past the glass doors. “I don’t know why I–I just… I know you need to go. But, ha, that was so nice. Like… I wasn’t... after not seeing you for… I wasn’t expecting it. You wanting to come to something of mine. It–” your footfalls stop when the two of you are beside that bench under the tree, the one where he’d first kissed you; drawing him closer, resting your palms against his muscled chest as you look up at him. “It’s going to be so boring, and I know you’ll totally think: ‘what a waste of time,’ when you get there, but… shit. I can’t even… get my thoughts together. Take your mask off, you clumsy romantic; I want to kiss you.”
The strip of protective material is down in an instant and his long forgotten coffee nearly topples out of his wavering hold in his headlong scramble to feel you against him. Thankfully, you spot the tottering cup, and pluck it out of his hands, dropping it haphazardly on the wooden slats of the bench.
“Sorry. Not up for second-degree burns, heh. I’ll make you another,” you bargain, arms curling around his powerful neck as you tug him down to you.
“I didn’t want it. I only came to ask you about tonight,” Kiyoomi rumbles between his impassioned presses, full lips rubbing and sucking greedily against yours.
“That so?” you smart, snatching hold of his lapels, arching onto the balls of your feet as you reach for more. He shakes his onyx curls, hands sliding to the round swell of your hips, delirious in the knowledge that this isn’t some dream that will slip between his fingers.
He’s missed [ you ] this so much.
The break was only a half hour. But time doesn’t matter, not when he can hold you like this, and he takes advantage of that revelation, cupping your chin under his palm as you open for him. He nips at your lower lip, pleased when you clutch him tighter, and soothes the lingering sting with a quick swipe of his tongue.
You taste like espresso and nutmeg, and now that he’s had it, he can’t get enough of that heady flavor. So he hunches himself over you, nose pressing against the warmth of your cheek as his eyes wince closed; trying to memorize every piece of [ you you you ] this.
“Kiyoo… mmm, Kiyoomi,” you hum, fingers bracing against his weight, “You’re gonna be… you’re gonna be… sorry… so late.”
“Stop saying sorry,” he scolds, hands dragging along your neck, fingers hooking under your jaw, lips pouted as he searches for yours. [ Not yet ] He’s not ready. [ Not yet. ]
You allow him one more kiss, but when he tries to shift you upward, powerful arms wrapping around your waist, you wriggle away from his insatiable hold, grinning up at his disgruntled expression. “You better go. I’ll see you tonight, okay?”
His thick brows furrow and his mouth falls into a slant; disappointed that you’re being so [ damned ] responsible about all of this. “Fine. Send me a text about where to go and the time. I’m not going to the meeting today.”
“Yes coach,” you tease, and he grunts out an exasperated sigh at the playful nickname, tugging his mask over his kiss shined lips, black eyes concealed behind his lashes. A blush stains the apples of his cheeks when he meets your gaze, and while he wishes you wouldn’t look at him so smugly, he can’t say he’s not mesmerized by your own kiss swept appearance, too.
“Go,” you repeat, lifting on your tiptoes, chastely tapping your lips against the side of his mask. “And thank you again. I’m glad you’re coming.”
He doesn’t want to leave; he’ll see you soon, he reasons, stroking his index finger down your warm brow. But he wishes this moment would last a little longer.

The trackball, a related pointing device, was invented in 1946 by Ralph Benjamin as part of a post-World War II-era fire-control radar plotting system called Comprehensive Display System (CDS). Benjamin was then working for the British Royal Navy Scientific Service. Benjamin's project used analog computers to calculate the future position of target aircraft based on several initial input points provided by a user with a joystick. Benjamin felt that a more elegant input device was needed and invented what they called a "roller ball" for this purpose.
The device was patented in 1947, but only a prototype using a metal ball rolling on two rubber-coated wheels was ever built, and the device was kept as a military secret.
Another early trackball was built by Kenyon Taylor, a British electrical engineer working in collaboration with Tom Cranston and Fred Longstaff. Taylor was part of the original Ferranti Canada, working on the Royal Canadian Navy's DATAR (Digital Automated Tracking and Resolving) system in 1952.
DATAR was similar in concept to Benjamin's display. The trackball used four disks to pick up motion, two each for the X and Y directions. Several rollers provided mechanical support. When the ball was rolled, the pickup discs spun and contacts on their outer rim made periodic contact with wires, producing pulses of output with each movement of the ball. By counting the pulses, the physical movement of the ball could be determined. A digital computer calculated the tracks and sent the resulting data to other ships in a task force using pulse-code modulation radio signals. This trackball used a standard Canadian five-pin bowling ball. It was not patented, since it was a secret military project.
Douglas Engelbart of the Stanford Research Institute (now SRI International) has been credited in published books by Thierry Bardini, Paul Ceruzzi, Howard Rheingold, and several others as the inventor of the computer mouse. Engelbart was also recognized as such in various obituary titles after his death in July 2013.
By 1963, Engelbart had already established a research lab at SRI, the Augmentation Research Center (ARC), to pursue his objective of developing both hardware and software computer technology to "augment" human intelligence. That November, while attending a conference on computer graphics in Reno, Nevada, Engelbart began to ponder how to adapt the underlying principles of the planimeter to inputting X- and Y-coordinate data. On November 14, 1963, he first recorded his thoughts in his personal notebook about something he initially called a "bug," which in a "3-point" form could have a "drop point and 2 orthogonal wheels." He wrote that the "bug" would be "easier" and "more natural" to use, and unlike a stylus, it would stay still when let go, which meant it would be "much better for coordination with the keyboard."
In 1964, Bill English joined ARC, where he helped Engelbart build the first mouse prototype. They christened the device the mouse as early models had a cord attached to the rear part of the device which looked like a tail, and in turn resembled the common mouse. As noted above, this "mouse" was first mentioned in print in a July 1965 report, on which English was the lead author. On 9 December 1968, Engelbart publicly demonstrated the mouse at what would come to be known as The Mother of All Demos. Engelbart never received any royalties for it, as his employer SRI held the patent, which expired before the mouse became widely used in personal computers. In any event, the invention of the mouse was just a small part of Engelbart's much larger project of augmenting human intellect.
Several other experimental pointing-devices developed for Engelbart's oN-Line System (NLS) exploited different body movements – for example, head-mounted devices attached to the chin or nose – but ultimately the mouse won out because of its speed and convenience. The first mouse, a bulky device (pictured) used two potentiometers perpendicular to each other and connected to wheels: the rotation of each wheel translated into motion along one axis. At the time of the "Mother of All Demos", Engelbart's group had been using their second generation, 3-button mouse for about a year.
On October 2, 1968, a mouse device named Rollkugel (German for "rolling ball") was described as an optional device for its SIG-100 terminal was developed by the German company Telefunken. As the name suggests and unlike Engelbart's mouse, the Telefunken model already had a ball. It was based on an earlier trackball-like device (also named Rollkugel) that was embedded into radar flight control desks. This trackball had been developed by a team led by Rainer Mallebrein at Telefunken Konstanz for the German Bundesanstalt für Flugsicherung (Federal Air Traffic Control) as part of their TR 86 process computer system with its SIG 100-86 vector graphics terminal.
When the development for the Telefunken main frame TR 440 [de] began in 1965, Mallebrein and his team came up with the idea of "reversing" the existing Rollkugel into a moveable mouse-like device, so that customers did not have to be bothered with mounting holes for the earlier trackball device. Together with light pens and trackballs, it was offered as an optional input device for their system since 1968. Some Rollkugel mouses installed at the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum in Munich in 1972 are well preserved in a museum. Telefunken considered the invention too unimportant to apply for a patent on it.
The Xerox Alto was one of the first computers designed for individual use in 1973 and is regarded as the first modern computer to utilize a mouse. Inspired by PARC's Alto, the Lilith, a computer which had been developed by a team around Niklaus Wirth at ETH Zürich between 1978 and 1980, provided a mouse as well. The third marketed version of an integrated mouse shipped as a part of a computer and intended for personal computer navigation came with the Xerox 8010 Star in 1981.
By 1982, the Xerox 8010 was probably the best-known computer with a mouse. The Sun-1 also came with a mouse, and the forthcoming Apple Lisa was rumored to use one, but the peripheral remained obscure; Jack Hawley of The Mouse House reported that one buyer for a large organization believed at first that his company sold lab mice. Hawley, who manufactured mice for Xerox, stated that "Practically, I have the market all to myself right now"; a Hawley mouse cost $415. In 1982, Logitech introduced the P4 Mouse at the Comdex trade show in Las Vegas, its first hardware mouse. That same year Microsoft made the decision to make the MS-DOS program Microsoft Word mouse-compatible, and developed the first PC-compatible mouse. Microsoft's mouse shipped in 1983, thus beginning the Microsoft Hardware division of the company. However, the mouse remained relatively obscure until the appearance of the Macintosh 128K (which included an updated version of the single-button Lisa Mouse) in 1984, and of the Amiga 1000 and the Atari ST in 1985.

Mr Appleigus
The men of the Appleigus family had a strict motto. Mr Appleigus the senior, deceased at age seventy-eight and not to be confused with his son, the current Mr Appleigus, had made a point to pass on this saying when his junior was about nine years of age and sobbing over a scraped knee, albeit a rather bad one.
The boy had fallen from the branches of the Jacaranda tree in their front yard - not hard enough to break anything - but with enough speed and awkwardness that one of his old, gnarled ladder rungs had dug its bark deep into his skin. Perhaps it wasn’t fond of being stepped on.
Mr Appleigus, having carried his son inside, applied rubbing alcohol and a particularly large band-aid created with the intention to either be used on a child or comically plastered on an adult en route to a hospital.
“It’ll be alright,” the senior Appleigus had assured as he smoothed down the band-aid, “It might have cut deep, but it’ll heal. You gotta be strong, deal with a little pain & you’ll be as good as new. A little patience and a few bandaids and you’ll be able to get up from anything that doesn’t kill you.”
Mr Appleigus, the junior, had remembered and applied this advice throughout his life, from the time he turned twenty right up until his current age of fifty-nine (when he was a teenager, he could see no use for such a blindly optimistic and simple metaphor so he’d chosen to ignore it until he once again saw the pertinence of simple, blind optimism shortly following the conclusion of his school years).
He was, fifty years later, now facing a different kind of band aid.
“There’s been a significant break to the hip on the right hand side,” the doctor said to him. He’d seen her puzzling over the clipboard that held his x-ray results as she hovered just outside the door to his room. So the scans would be pretty fresh in her mind. He still found it slightly disconcerting that she felt no need to glance down at the papers.
After a brief pause, presumably to let the news sink in, she continued on, “It will require surgery. For people your age, we usually recommend a replacement. Especially with your history of problems.”
Mr Appleigus nodded. It seemed fair enough - he didn’t consider himself old, as neither he nor his brother had any sons, and only his niece was continuing the Appleigus name, he still considered himself the junior Appleigus - but a hip that didn’t ache when he walked up the stairs to his apartment would be nice.
He signed the surgical forms - if he died the doctor wasn’t responsible, he’d pay the money, in case of complication contact the other Mr Appleigus as next of kin - the usual. They kept him in the hospital for a week for the operation. The other Appleigi (a lasting family in-joke only the teller seemed to find funny) came to visit, his niece Sophie even brought him flowers. They were pretty blue ones - in a little pot so they could keep growing rather than withering in a vase.
“You can take it with you,” Sophie said practically (but not optimistically of course, she was a sweet, darling niece, but still a teenager), “When you go home.”
It seemed humans were far less cynical than hospital forms - the maths were in his favour at fifty-nine. The rising likelihood of death only kicked in during the final years of human frailty. And even then, people still expected to leave the hospital room alive.
He did manage to, of course. (It is always of course with adults in hospitals. They have too much optimism to face their own mortality. The doctors will fix it! They can fix anything!)
He had a brief recovery period and a new scar across his right side, but in return he could climb stairs without quietly nursing his ache. His perseverance could be shifted back to his work. Now he could spend perhaps a minute more shifting through financial reports than usual!
In truth, rather little changed. After a few days he stopped noticing the lack of ache. It was as if it had always been.
At the ripe old age of sixty three, Mr Appleigus decided to take up cycling again. The cause, however risky for his aging bones, was Sophie’s new habit. The darling girl had invited him to join her in cycling along the paths circling the nearby lagoons. (In truth, a series of attacks on young women had prompted her father to suggest she take a partner. He still felt honoured to be the first person she could think of willing to get up at six in the morning to cycle with a girl who kept at least one headphone in for the entire journey.)
It wasn’t the infamous attacker that caused the incident, but a rather innocent basketball.
As the two Appleigi (Sophie smiled wryly at his nickname of Cycling Appleigings, so it seemed the family sense of humour would outlive him), had lazily made their second lap, the lull between the opening determination and final rush to the finish taking full effect, the ball had rolled across the path in the same lazy manner. The calm of the morning echoed in its slow, wobbly rolls across the uneven ground. It was easy enough to pedal around, with Mr Appleigus moving to follow Sophie’s arc with smooth, easy strokes of the leg. The clumsy child chasing it was not so predictable. They bumbled, small and quick with tunnel vision focused only on the bright orange of his plaything. While not a parent himself, Mr Appleigus had in him the same instinct found in almost every human over the age of fifteen. He saw the small, reckless child and swerved.
The bike went sideways, wheels rising violently from the tar like a wave against the coastline as his body hit the root-ridden path. The whole colossal wreck of metal and limbs fell thankfully clear of the child. Dimly he heard shouting - the cries of parents chasing their child with the same tunnel vision he had chased his ball - but it was drowned out by the sharp pain in his arm. The physical sensation tore apart any coherent sense of sound or sight beyond bright flashes of both.
Mr Appleigus slowly regained his full ability to see and hear clearly on his route to the hospital. He found himself in a similar hospital bed to his previous visit. Though this time it was a different doctor.
“We’ve found a series of fractures up your left arm and to your shoulder,” the doctor said. This one checked the clipboard as he spoke. Perhaps he was new and nervous. Perhaps he was old to it and liked to get things right, “It needs to be reset in places. With multiple pins to keep it stable.”
Mr Appleigus nodded. He didn’t really understand anything beyond the fact that the doctor was promising him a working arm. He agreed and signed almost exact copies of the forms before. His brother and niece came to visit again - his brother apologetic that he could be injured on bike rides it was his idea he went on. (Sophie wasn’t apologetic. She would still be his favourite niece, he thought, even if he had more than one.)
While unapologetic, Sophie brought him another of the potted plants - another tiny geranium-esque flower, though this one had dark pink blooms instead of blue.
“You can start a collection,” she shrugged, “a window box. But inside the window.” Still a teenager then, with the blunt and seemingly meaningless humour he was yet to understand.
His arm took longer to recover from than his hip - maybe as this time it was multiple bones in multiple pieces. Still, he got back to normal eventually. And got back to his morning bike rides in no time.
When he was sixty-five and his hands started shaking, he wondered if something went wrong with his bones. Maybe band-aid hadn’t quite covered the wound. He was surprised to learn it was Parkinson’s disease - early on-set. It always seems good to be diagnosed early, but they can’t cure it. It’s not like cancer, they can’t rip it out. All they did was medicate.
As Mr Appleigus was coming to accept this, a doctor - this one not in a hospital room, but the office of his local practitioner - offered him a second option. A new trial surgery - one with even more forms to give the doctors deniability than usual - that will hollow out his arms, and fill them with prosthetic pieces. A few nerves replaced with tiny wires. His main joints replaced with carbon fiber copies. They said it would stop the shaking.
So he said yes.
(Sophie stopped by his apartment and brought his still-living flowers to his hospital room.) He stayed in hospital for a month, and his brother visited once a week and brought Sophie fortnightly. (She had her new university classes to juggle. Apparently first year engineering kept one very busy.)
This was the first surgery that felt different. He could not forget that his nerves were wires or joints prosthetic. He could feel them. Always. But they gave him a steady hand. He could keep working - he was reaching that ever-elusive retirement age, but he liked the money and the substance to his otherwise empty weeks. It was just a band aid that needed to stay on. But, then again, it wasn’t much different from the previous surgeries.
He had a few more surgeries as he aged - his heart was weak, so they’d printed new arteries and added clamps to keep it’s beating stable. His lungs grew weaker, so they patched them up like sails of flesh, with the wind controlled by a sharp electric shock if they got too slow.
The doctors and their never-failing optimism kept him together with their band-aids.
When he turned eighty-one, they told him he had Alzheimers. That he would start to forget. Not everything - and not immediately. Just that for a brief moment of time, his brother’s funeral would slip his mind. Or he might be convinced he’d eaten twice already, but actually have forgotten to all day. And of course, he’d have to stop working in the office. He didn’t really do anything there anymore apart from simple filing. But he really didn’t have much else to do.
When the doctor’s told him they could fix his brain - put his memories into a series of microchips of his most important memory and give him a RAM as stable as computers - Mr Appleigus said yes.
Despite being almost the same size as he was at fifty-nine, Mr Appleigus felt very small. Sophie still visited him when she had time - she had a job then, just like him. He learned to keep his sentences short - usually yes or no replies. She wasn’t as blunt with him as she used to be - while she pretended to understand him, he knew when she couldn’t. She might have asked him to repeat himself once or twice, but after that simply guesses.
Appleigi was too many syllables to pronounce, but after many tries Sophie smiled and he knew she understood.
“I’ll have to bring you more flowers,” she said, noting that the old plants had finally died. He noted a niceness to her voice that hadn’t been there when she was younger - she’d started to grow up. Maybe she was already grown. His eyes were heavy. Everything dimmed. The machine memories were brighter, but the sight and sound swam past him. As if he was lying on the bicycle path again, only instead of sharp pain he was faced with a vast numbness. A letting go.
Mr Appleigus stopped noticing how his body moved. He stopped feeling the stairs beneath his feet. He stopped comprehending the files the chips in his brain and carbon fiber finger joints typed out on their own.
He didn’t notice his coworkers start to complain about a growing rancid smell. Or the putrid liquid seeping out from the gaps in his plastic skin. Or even the foul sloshing at each step. Not even the maggots wriggling between his copper nerves.
Mr Appleigus didn’t notice his niece set a pot of bright orange geraniums beside him in his favourite chair. He had no memory of turning to her, his mind sending a greeting that came out as an olid smacking of over-ripe lips.
By the time Sophie Appleigus, with a towel wrapped around her lower face and arms clad in dishwashing gloves up to her elbow, drove a screwdriver through his skull and dug through his rank, rotten brain for the chips put there when there was still something to bandage, Mr Appleigus was already long gone.

Do you trust me?
(So, here’s another gift fic. This one for @doc-knock-out.
Knock Out talks Breakdown into playing a little game with him and gets more than he’d anticipated.
Words: ~2500)
Knock Out smirked as he watched Breakdown secure his left wrist to the medical berth. His right wrist was already secured down. The medic flexed his arms, testing that Breakdown had done the job properly. He relaxed back down with a content smirk. Breakdown had watched him, a slightly concerned look on his face. He opened his mouth to speak, but Knock Out couldn’t hear anything. He had already deactivated his audials before his partner strapped him down.
“You know I can’t hear you, hun. Trust me, this will be fun.” Knock Out purred the words out, eagerly watching Breakdown lift the strip of cloth. He had spent the whole morning elbow deep in the chassis’s of damaged Vehicons while trying to convince his partner to play this particular game.
Breakdown slowly smiled at Knock Out, leaning down and dragging the strip of cloth across the smaller mech’s optics. Knock Out lifted his head enough to give Breakdown room to tie it behind his head. As he drew his servos back, Breakdown lightly trailed his digits along the red mech’s jaw.
A slow shudder went through Knock Out as his partner’s digits left him. He worked to slow his venting, becoming hyper aware of the movement of the air around him as he was left without contact. His body kept tensing, readying for sensation, but nothing was happening. Knock Out huffed out a breath.
“Come on, big guy, don’t leave me wanting.” There was the slightest bit of a pout to his words. It was strange, speaking when he couldn’t really hear himself. Knock Out clenched and unclenched his servos, feeling clawed digits scraping against the medical berth.
Knock Out jolted as he felt the brush of a digit along the tip of his left ped. The touch was barely a whisper of sensation. He flexed his ped up into the touch since they hadn’t secured his legs in place. He received a light swat on the knee for moving. Fine, if that was how Breakdown wanted to play this game, Knock Out was happy to prove his ability.
Once he stopped moving again, Breakdown’s digits slowly skimmed their way up his leg. Those digits paused at his knee, suddenly pinching at one of the wires exposed in the joint. Knock Out yanked his knee up, gasping and trying to curl away from that touch.
“Breakdown! No, that spot tickles!” He’d thought Breakdown would take this chance to frag him senseless. This playful teasing was not what he’d thought he was getting into. Still, Knock Out wasn’t going to use their safe word to end this game.
Breakdown set his warm servo on Knock Out’s thigh, settling him back into place again. His thumb rubbed gentle circles as if in apology. The red mech slowly relaxed again under his partner’s touch. Once he was calm, Breakdown slid his servo up Knock Out’s thigh. His large servo didn’t have to move far, almost encompassing him. Knock Out tilted his hips up in invitation as those digits brushed closer to his interface panel.
“Breakdown…” He whined as the larger mech turned his servo, avoiding touching Knock Out where he wanted most in favor of cupping his hip. If Breakdown thought Knock Out was going to let him use this for some strange punishment-
Knock Out arched his back as Breakdown’s board digits dipped under his hip to tug at a bundle of wires. He rolled them between his digits and gave a small twist that bordered on painful. Knock Out bit down on his lip, a high pitched whimper escaping him as Breakdown continued to caress the delicate wires. He bucked his hips, almost breaking Breakdown’s hold on him. Knock Out wanted, needed, more contact.
A broad servo settled against his chest, easily holding him down. Knock Out dug his claws into the berth beneath him, trying to control the twitches running through his frame. Breakdown had removed his digits from the red mech’s hip and gone back to lightly stroking them up along his side. Knock Out used the reprieve to try and relax again, venting quickly.
Breakdown kept one servo pinning Knock Out’s chest as his other slowly stroked along his neck. He was better prepared this time when his partner suddenly rolled those sensitive wires between his digits. Still, a soft gasp escaped him while his hips tilted up again, interface panel clicking open. Breakdown had to stop playing with him soon. Knock Out knew he would be feeling the same desire for relief.
“Please… please, Breakdown…” A shudder went through his body as a warm mouth closed around his neck, slowly sucking along the sensitive wires and cables. Breakdown slid his glossa up Knock Out’s neck, forcing the smaller mech to tilt his head back so he would have better access. He gave a sharp cry as Breakdown switched from licking and sucking to quickly biting down on Knock Out’s exposed throat.
“Primus…” Knock Out didn’t care if he sounded breathless and desperate. He didn’t care, so long as Breakdown gave him some relief. His frame felt like it was overheating. “Please, primus, please, have mercy… ahhh... “
His begging was broken off as the berth shifted, Breakdown finally moving up over him. Knock Out could feel the heat radiating off the larger mech. Breakdown settled his servos on Knock Out’s hips, pinning them down to the berth to stop his needy squirming. Knock Out would have been only too happy to grind himself up against his partner if he meant he could get some relief. Instead, Breakdown started trailing kisses down Knock Out’s chassis.
Knock Out spread his legs further apart, giving Breakdown more room to settle between them. The berth shifted as Breakdown continued kissing down Knock Out’s abdomen. The larger mech released one of his servos from Knock Out’s hips, using it to lift the red mech’s leg up over one shoulder. Knock Out was quick to swing his other leg up, finding its place on the other shoulder. He still couldn’t buck his hips, Breakdown’s strong grip on his hip was keeping him under control. From this position he could feel the strain on his back and in his shoulders as he was pulled part way down the medical berth. With his wrists locked to the berth, he couldn’t easily readjust his upper body.
“Yes, yes please… pleassseee~” Knock Out let his head fall back as he felt Breakdown’s warm venting against his valve. His partner wasn’t quite done teasing him, he tilted his head to kiss and nibble along Knock Out’s inner thigh.
He couldn’t take it anymore, the sensations coursing through his frame, the tight heat building within him. A choked sob escaped him. Knock Out arched his back, trying to push up against Breakdown’s strong grip.
“Breakdown, please, please, frag… I need… please, need more…” He begged brokenly as he tightened his legs around Breakdown’s shoulders to try and draw him closer.
Knock Out struggled to hold himself together as Breakdown finally gave him what he’d been craving. The larger mech pressed his lips against Knock Out’s valve for a brief moment before he began lapping at the fluids already dripping from the plush mesh. Every stroke of his glossa sent little electric shocks through Knock Out’s frame. He laid beneath Breakdown, venting hard and ripping into the berth with his claws at each warm touch. Knock Out wanted to hold out for Breakdown, keep himself from falling to pieces as he overloaded.
Breakdown suddenly changed pace, tilting his head up slightly as he stroked his glossa along Knock Out’s anterior node. He closed his mouth around the node and sucked while tightening his hold on Knock Out’s hips. His several of his blunt digits slid between the plating to brush against over-sensitive wires.
The charge that had been building up in Knock Out surged through him, arcing up his spine as he overloaded. His mouth opened in a silent scream. He could feel Breakdown’s mouth on his valve again. His lips were moving restlessly, glossa stroking between the soft mesh as he drank Knock Out down.
Knock Out vented hard as his body slowly began relaxing. His legs, which had tightened around Breakdown’s head, slid down from the larger mech’s shoulders. Breakdown finished lapping at Knock Out and gently lowered him until his aft was resting upon Breakdown’s thighs. He wanted to praise his partner’s work, but he couldn’t speak around his ragged venting. Besides, Knock Out knew he wasn’t done yet.
A blunt digit carefully pressed into his valve, testing to see if he’d relaxed enough after his overload. Breakdown was quick to add a second digit and spread Knock Out open wider. The red mech shuddered as those warm digits stroked over sensors, so careful not to damage the damp mesh of his valve.
“Mmmm… I’m ready… come on, big guy…” Knock Out murmured with a lazy roll of his hips to feel those digits slide a little deeper.
Breakdown pulled his digits out of Knock Out while giving his hip a warning squeeze for misbehaving. He lifted Knock Out’s hip a little for a better angle and shifted closer, forcing the red mech’s legs further apart. Knock Out felt the tip of his spike press into his valve. It stretched him with a pleasant burn. Breakdown must have smeared some of Knock Out’s transfluid along his spike, because he slid in easier than he’d expected.
“Come on, yes…” Knock Out arched his back, desperately trying to buck his hips into Breakdown. He wanted to feel every inch stretching him, stroking against those sensors. He’d had more than enough of Breakdown’s gentle teasing for one day.
“Frag me, Breakdown! Just frag me, for primus’s sake!” He felt his vocalizer crackle with static at the end of his shout. Knock Out tore at the berth lining with his claws while Breakdown sunk the rest of his length into his valve. It was a poor substitute to being able to cling to Breakdown, but he had to ground himself.
The last of Breakdown’s resolve fell away. The large mech drew back and snapped his hips forward, slamming his spike deep into Knock Out. He rolled his hips, stroking his spike along the length of Knock Out’s valve. Breakdown let go of Knock Out’s hips with one servo, using it to brace himself on the berth as he bent over the red mech’s body. His chassis scraped against Knock Out’s with each thrust.
Knock Out was lost in a world of heat and pleasure as Breakdown leaned down across him. The movement changed the angle of his thrusts, striking against each cluster of sensors with different force. A combination of broken begs and mewls escaped his vocalizer beyond his control. All Knock Out knew was he needed more, needed all of Breakdown. He needed-
The second overload hit Knock Out hard, bucking his hips even against the grip of one of Breakdown’s servos. The built up charge slammed up and down his spine and leaving him in liquid heat as his valve clenched rhymically around the large spike still plunging away inside him. He could feel the rumble of Breakdown’s engine so close to his own frame as the larger mech shuddered. Breakdown had overloaded shortly after Knock Out, spilling heat deep within him.
Thankfully, Breakdown managed to hold himself up instead of collapsing across Knock Out. His spike remained buried within his partner as the rumble of his engine slowly quieted. Breakdown lifted the servo from Knock Out’s hip to gently cradle his face, tilting his head up. He placed a gentle kiss on Knock Out’s lips as he drew back from him. Knock Out shuddered faintly at the sensation of transfluid flowing out of himself.
Breakdown was gentle as he reached behind Knock Out’s head to untie the blindfold. The first thing the red mech saw was his lover’s stupidly happy smile. Ah, he probably looked just as stupidly pleased with both them.
“Let me up, hun?” Knock Out shifted his arms slightly, wrists still firmly secured by the restraints. Well, if nothing else, this was a success test of the strength of the restraints. Maybe he could use that as an excuse for these kinds of… activities… if caught.
Breakdown grinned wider and reached over to the tray on the little stand by the medical berth. He was still kneeling over Knock Out’s frame. One servo gently turned Knock Out’s head to the side so Breakdown could look at his audial. A little spark and a twinge of pain went through Knock Out’s head before that audial came back online. He was quite willing to turn his head to the other side for Breakdown to online the other side too.
“There.” Breakdown set the tool back aside and smiled down at Knock Out. “How’s the hearing?”
“I think they’re still ringing from those overloads.” Knock Out murmured slyly, lifting one leg to brush against Breakdown’s. “Maybe you can release my wrists and we can test that theory.”
Breakdown huffed out a laugh and unlocked the first set of restraints. “Not enough for you?”
By the time Breakdown had gotten the second set of restraints off Knock Out’s wrists he had to grudgingly admit to himself that he was feeling sore. Every motion of his hips sent little twinges of pain through his systems. With the pleasure subsiding his frame was finally noticing what he’d done to it. In fact…
Knock Out sighed as he looked down at himself. Silver paints transfers marred his hips and thighs. There were even a few blue paint transfers on his chassis. And that was ignoring the transfluid that had leaked from his valve. He narrowed his optics and traced a digit along one hip.
“You dented me.” Knock Out pouted a little.
Breakdown chuckled. “And you did make me promise to give you a full work over after we were done. I’ll fix the dents too.” He leaned down to kiss the side of Knock Out’s head.
That was true. And it was an excellent excuse to have Breakdown’s servos all over him again. Knock Out smiled again, relaxing back across the berth and looking into the warm optics of his lover.
“That means we start with a solvent shower, right? Wanna get all hot and steamy with me, big guy?” Knock Out asked teasingly, lifting his eyebrows.
Breakdown curled one arm around Knock Out’s chassis, lying himself on his side on the medical berth. Their frames were pressed together; the medical berth wasn’t really made for two mechs to lie on together.
“I love getting hot with you. But let’s just stay here and… enjoy this for a moment.” Breakdown murmured, tone warm.
Knock Out felt his spark give a little dizzying spin as he set a servo on the arm now pinning his chassis to the medical berth. This was why he loved Breakdown. Yes, the interfacing was wonderful, but Breakdown valued closeness with Knock Out just as much as he cherished the red mech’s lovely form. Breakdown saw him as his own person, beyond the pretty frame.
“Yeah. We can enjoy the moment.” Knock Out smiled softly and shuttered his optics.

The Measurement of Time: Chapter 3. You can find all other IkeSen works of mine here. NOTES: Kaiea is @boopbeepbopblarg ‘s lovely OC! Thanks for letting me use her!
Kaiea told him some time ago about the Trinity Island’s treacherous reputation, and it certainly lived up to that. The sailors desperately turned the boat back and forth and back and forth, struggling to find safe waters and not shred out the hull of the yacht. Finally they managed to find a small inlet. Without a second’s hesitation, Uesugi planted her foot on the railing and vaulted it, landing ankle deep in the water. Yukimura followed easily.
“I am not doing that,” Kaiea protested. “No way. I’ll break an ankle.”
Sasuke appraised the drop. The distance wasn’t unsafe by any measure, but he understood her hesitation. Before he could formulate a plan, Yukimura pulled himself back up onto the balustrade, holding out a hand to her.
“Come on. I’ll help you in.”
She eyed him warily, but he jerked his head in a just come on motion and she obeyed. He propped himself up long enough to wrap a strong arm around her waist and pinned her against himself--and over they went, her surprised shriek echoing through the island. The ocean splashed over her cloak, but she was fine. Yukimura had even kept her from falling in the water or touching it.
“You’re fine,” he mumbled at her, hefting her legs over his arm and carrying her to shore. His cheeks were red, but he set her down kindly anyway on the sand.
And that just left him. Conjuring up distant memories of physical exercise, Sasuke finally took a running leap over the edge and landed. He wasn’t so graceful as the others. Wheeling in a frantic bid to stay on his feet, he splashed his knees into the water and was only stopped from faceplanting by Uesugi’s arm.
“Nice.” She chuckled at him. “Not accustomed to physical exertion, are we?”
“I am a researcher, not a soldier.”
“Maybe you ought to consider that before volunteering yourself on a scouting mission next time.” She was blunt, but far from wrong. “Come on.”
Odd, smooth trees bent inward over them as they trekked to the island interior. Their supple bark swept upward to strangely human branches. Sasuke played his fingers across one, only for Kaiea to swat his hand away.
“You don’t want to do that.”
“Why not?”
But she just shook her head, eyeing it warily. “It’s a little freaky. I’ll tell you when we’re off the island, but there are... these aren’t normal trees.”
He took that at its face and stopped touching it. They trudged through crushed leaves and at last, they reached the skeleton of a town. Once it was cute; he could see the wilted remnants of a garden overflowing its fence. Half of the cottages had collapsed. The ocean was unforgiving on buildings. Wind swirled through the relic of a time gone by, bringing with it the tang of salt.
“Look.” Uesugi fell back beside Sasuke, motioning ahead of them. “Is that the place you dreamed of, too?”
It wasn’t a building anymore--not a whole one, at least. The belltower leaned hard into the wind, half of the walls supporting it collapsed... outward? That didn’t make much sense. As they grew closer, the sight before them puzzled him more.
“If this wall had just collapsed, this wouldn’t appear like this.” He eyed where the timbers had scattered outward, pieces of debris flung into the woods. “It would have settled in one place.”
“That’s what I was just thinking.” Yukimura nudged a beam with his toe. “This looks like an explosion.”
Uesugi stepped fearlessly into the gap, drawing her sword. Yukimura handed his own to Sasuke, taking a spear for himself. “Know how to use that?”
“Barely.”
“Let’s hope you don’t have to learn.”
Kaiea went completely white at the implication. Yuki just took her hand and tugged him beside her. “Stick close and you’ll be just fine.”
The town hall interior was dark. Sasuke blinked until he could see again. Molding floorboards creaked dangerously underfoot, light lancing through cracks in the ceiling. Uesugi picked her way around a bell lodged deep in the floor.
“There’s a library in here somewhere. We emptied it out and moved the contents into the Royal Library years ago,” Kaiea whispered. Her voice carried through the emptiness. “This is where Mitsunari Ishida and the Princess found the way to defeat the invasion of the City. It’s a shame it’s derelict. I would think they’d try to preserve this place.”
Uesugi shook her head. “This place was declared off limits decades ago by the prior Queen herself. I don’t know what prompted the declaration, but we’ve honored it ever since.”
“Hey. Come here.” Yuki motioned from a corner. “There’s more damage here, but this is different.”
The three of them joined him. At his feet, the floor had collapsed outward, the beams cracked up toward the sky--and in the dark, a set of stone steps heading downward.
“You know what I just realized?” Uesugi commented. “The island was on fire. Why is nothing burned down?”
As if answering them, a wind billowed up from the hole at their feet, carrying the smell of smoke and dust. Yuki squared his shoulders and spear.
“Well. Nowhere to go but down, right?”
“Right.”
Yuki took point, taking the first tentative steps downward. Uesugi followed behind him, fiddling with a necklace she wore until it produced enough light to help them. Kaiea looked very much as if she’d rather stay up top. Even so, she swallowed her protests and slipped down behind the other two, Sasuke taking up the rear.
The scent of smoke grew the further they descended. He tried to calculate the distance, but soon it escaped him. All he knew was that it was deep. Oppressive darkness pressed in around them, the faint green glow from Uesugi’s necklace the only thing that cut through to the hard stone walls around them. And at last--at last they reached the bottom floor, a scorched door resting in ashes before them.
“Well.” Yuki nudged the debris, peering into the room. “What the hell?”
The concrete walls were black with soot, scorch marks splayed over the walls and ceiling like fingers. Maybe once there was furniture in this room. Now it was nothing but thick, grey, crumbling ruin. When the four of them stepped inside, the walls pulsed, a faint orange light glowing around them.
“What the hell is happening?” Uesugi muttered.
Sasuke took a long look at the walls. “If I had to speculate? It’s a form of responsive magic. It feeds off the residual energy of human presence.”
“Great. That’s not reassuring, given the dream--and the thing in front of us.”
That thing was a coffin. He recognized it immediately--his dream was remarkably detailed. The lid was cracked open in pieces on the floor, its interior entirely empty except for some odd, twisting cables.
“What the hell was in there?” Yuki asked, poking it with his spear.
Bending over the inside, Sasuke took them into his hand and examined them. Nothing like this was in any of the books he knew. He looked to Kaiea for some kind of guidance, but she just shook her head, wide eyed and uncertain.
“Here’s a thought,” Uesugi started slow. “Do you think this was... connected to something?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m not sure how to articulate it. Like a binding?”
He twisted the cable and stared down the center of it. Bits of copper and twisted wires protruded from the end. “The metals inside this all conduct electricity. I’m suspecting that this was used to... power something, perhaps.”
“Power something?” Yuki echoed. “Power what?”
It was then that the thing appeared.
Even afterward, Sasuke couldn’t have possibly described it. The closest he could get was a statue, massive and twisting, a dark nightmare of cogs and whirring pieces. Its eyes glowed a slanted orange. It stood maybe ten feet tall, its spidery fingers moving in jerks and stops. A chainmail vestment draped over its shoulders and secured at some sort of a waist. To what end he couldn’t imagine. It looked like a dream of a mechanical knight--and it drew out a massive greatsword, bringing it in a gleaming arc down toward them.
They scattered as it cleaved clear through the coffin. Fragments of stone shattered like missiles against the walls. Yuki planted himself solidly between Kaiea and it, brandishing his spear.
“Up the stairs!” Uesugi bellowed. “Get up them!”
The Metal Knight swung hard toward her. She reflexively planted her sword to parry, but it just hit her so hard that the impact flung her into the wall with a sickening thud. Yuki almost threw Kaiea up the steps.
“Go! Go go! Sasuke, get up there!”
But he couldn’t. He watched the Metal Knight take an earthquake step toward Uesugi and knew she wouldn’t make it. She’d taken a hell of an impact, and she was scrabbling to her feet, and that sword was coming down--
And he was between her and it before he could stop himself, sword lifted above his head to stop it. Steel locked. Sasuke braced himself for the inevitable crush under overwhelming power--
It didn’t come.
Instead his sword arm glowed a wild, brilliant green. That energy rolled up through his shoulder and shot up into their swords, bracing like a shield between them. Uesugi threw her sword upward too, and a blue energy joined his, entwining like snakes around the greatsword pressing down on them--and it snapped back.
Precious seconds were back in their hand.
“Go!” She yelled.
All four of them raced up the steps, taking them two and three at a time. Sasuke turned back in time to see the thing vanish, swirling out of existence like smoke, but he didn’t trust it. None of them stopped until they were well above ground, standing in the ruins of the Town Hall and waiting for it. It never came.
“What the hell?” Yuki gasped, his chest heaving. “What the hell? What the actual hell?”
“Fuck.” Uesugi panted.
“I d-d-don’t think there was an-any record of th-th-that in the archives,” Kaiea managed. “Th-th-that shouldn’t b-b-be there.”
“How did you do that?” Uesugi rounded on Sasuke next, her mismatched eyes peering straight through him.
“Frankly, I don’t know.” He shoved his glasses up and realized they were fogged from sweat. It didn’t feel safe enough to take them off, so he just squinted through it. “I don’t know what that was. I was told I can’t do magic.”
“That wasn’t just any magic. That’s something signature. The Nine could do that, and we still aren’t sure how.” She paused. “And then I did it. I’ve never been able to do that. I don’t even know how I did.”
Was it? Sasuke poured through his memory, searching desperately for any reason why. “I’m only a distant relative to Sarutobi, and he wasn’t a member of the Nine, anyway.”
“Can we please leave?” Kaiea jogged frantically back and forth between her feet. “It can’t get off the island, can it? We could just leave it here.”
“We don’t know that.” Yuki didn’t shift from his battle-ready pose. “We really don’t know that. I think it teleported in there.”
“Then theoretically,” Sasuke posited, “It could be anywhere.”
“But you could stop its swing.” Uesugi stared through him for one more moment. “Alright. We need to full retreat and do some investigation. Sarutobi, I hope you aren’t needed at your lab too much.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because.” She stepped closer to him, her white blonde hair swirling in the wind. “I’m recruiting you.”

Dog Days
[prev] || [first]
Dreams don’t make sense, and nightmares even less so. These are just the facts of the world.
You’ve given up trying to understand this place, given up flinching at the plethora of eerie noises, or the things slithering in the dark around you, peering at you from holes rotted through the walls. You follow Bo numbly through the darkened hospital halls, clinging to the strange feather that saved your life, you swear you’ve seen others like it somewhere else but you can’t remember where. You’re starting to forget what the waking world was like, bits and peices of your memories lost to this evil place. How long have you been here? It feels like you’ve been wandering this maze for days, weeks even, aimlessly drifting through abandoned rooms and ruined stairwells littered with your own dead bodies. How many times have you died here? You’ve lost count of the corpses you’ve seen, some lying here and there like discarded trash, or barely glimpsed as they’re dragged into pools of blackness. You pretend you don’t see them, more often than not, and do your best to ignore the way your blood glows on the lips and claws of your killers.
Bo keeps you moving, keeps you safe. Tense as a spring with his hand on your shoulder, a gun always cocked and ready. He leads you down, into the deeper parts of the hospital, past morgues filled with shadowy figures that watch you with familiar eyes. The rotted walls slowly give way to rusted metal panels, the air here smells heavy and metallic, like overheating computer fans and hot steel. Wires sprout from the walls and dangle from the ceiling like vines, blooming with half formed robotic limbs instead of flowers. Your biolume is the only consistent source of light down here, casting sickly blue shadows wherever you go, somehow making this place look even more creepy in the process. Every so often Bo will just stop and listen, his fuzzy little ears twitching more than yours, sometimes you swear you hear a voice calling from the depths of this place but know better than to follow it further down this rabbit hole.
There are no warnings here, not even the illegible hospital directories you’ve gotten used to, only writhing limbs and TV screens that watch you back in between flashes of static and noise. As if none of your doubles ever made it this far. The hallways are inconsistent, moreso than before, widening and shrinking wildly while all semblance of coherent architecture vanishes. Wall and ceiling panels hang stiffly in the air inches from where they’ve fallen only to respawn in their proper places and restart the cycle anew. Things are stuck to and into walls, clipping right through like bad Bethesda renders, the absurdity of it all tickles you. Bo frowns at the state of this place, tightening his grip on you, his hands are rough and warm, steady and sure. He smells like Rae, you remember Rae, at least enough to know Bo smells like her.
The corridor starts to narrow a bit until you can’t stand side by side, Bo nudges you along in front of him and gives you an encouraging smile as you grip your feather. The pair of you come to a sudden halt, you instinctively try to back away but bump into Bo instead, a gun cocks beside your head. At the end of the hall, blocking the door, is an emaciated figure with long skeletal limbs that trail off into smoke. It watches you with two mismatched rays of light, like eyes, glowing from the vertical slits on its otherwise featureless face. Bo tries to back up, pulling you gently along with him, movements slow and careful. You don’t get far before you two hit a wall that wasn’t there. The creature chuckles in a voice you recognize, you are distantly reminded of sharp features, bright red hair, a venomous tongue and nails like knives.
“Moira…” the name tumbles from your lips without your permission and the creature takes a step forward, laughter rumbling in its bony chest. Its features swim like blown smoke until they become a grayscale rendition of the geneticist you remember, only its eyes are in color, burning like embers within the smoke. It dives for you without warning, becoming a billowing, smothering cloud that finds its way inside your eyes and mouth. It burns, she burns, burns you up from the inside out as she drags you down the hall with Bo in pursuit. You can’t see, can’t breathe; you kick, claw and try to scream but the smoke only reforms as if you’ve done nothing at all. Claws like daggers carve into your flesh as the smoke creature giggles, filtering down into your wounds. You feel her settle on top of you, pinning you against the already bloody floor, running the tips of her talons across your throat in some sick facsimile of tenderness. Her voice comes from right against your ear,
“Can you run? I think not… I. Think. Not.”
You can’t run, you can’t even struggle. Your mind drifts back to the piles of dead Jacks, lost forever in this place, you think of Rae and Bo, of the waking world. Somewhere deep inside with your memories that haven’t slipped away, you know that this isn’t how you die. You close your burning eyes, your skin begins to pulsate and glow. The feather, you somehow haven’t lost, glows with you as bright as the wings on the false angel. The smoke beast flinches back with a screech, you see you chance and wiggle free. The moment you stand the feather becomes a blade, wreathed in fire. The smoke beast seems to smile, even without the luxury of a mouth. She’s on you in an instant, swiping at you with spectral claws that clash against your flaming blade. You’re too weak to do much more that block and evade, so hell bent on surviving that you don’t notice the lit match arcing its way into the heart of the smoke until it’s too late. Someone, Bo, grabs you by the scruff and wrenches you back as the creature goes up in purple-gold flames. She screams, snapping painfully together into an identifiable human shape, writhing on the ground. Bo covers your eyes and leads you away, but the scene is replayed endlessly on the backs of your eyelids.
The two of you walk in almost mournful silence. You clutching the feather in a death grip, Bo close behind. Your eyes keep darting between the shadowed hidden places along the corridor, growing frantic as it starts to widen again. Here the walls are breathing, covered in flickering screens with even more piled nearby, wires slithering and snaking across the floor like the tails of rodents. The screens here flash between recordings of your memories, broken up by static and “no service” screens. There isn’t any audio past the crackle of electricity and static, every memory is of you and Hoka, but his face is glitched or distorted in every shot. There are words in the static, voices in the white noise that you can’t make out. You wander up to a TV without thinking, trying to get a better look. The screens start to sync up, little by little without your noticing. Bo tries to get your attention, tries to pull you back. The static tells you to run, to wake up, to beware of dog. You see yourself in the static, tears like TV color bars running down your hazy cheeks as you press against the glass from the inside.
“Run…” you whisper, broken and alone. That’s when you hear it, racing footsteps and mechanical whirring coming from back the way you came. It lopes out of the darkness, misshapen and ugly, skin swimming with wires, its mouth endlessly gaping around a maw full of teeth like broken glass. It looks like Hoka, like the distorted memories on the screens come to life. It tries to dart towards you but goes down in a hail of shotgun fire. Bo grabs you by the shirt and starts to drag you along as more whirring echoes down the passage. The road ahead is lined with bodies, yours and Hoka’s, bits of flesh and metal cobbled together to make something new and terrible. The walls are stained with luminescent blood, grisly depicting rabbits being mauled by dogs, eerie poetry and crude drawings of stars. A howl like the screaming of damned things comes from the darkness ahead of you, a MechaHoka leaping from the shadows to crush you.
This one is more animal than machine, canine limbs crudely fastened to the main body, a mouthful of sharp teeth snapping at your face. His weight is immense, pinning you down as you fight feebly to push him off. You can hear more coming, and the sounds of Bo trying to fight them off. With your sword out of reach and Bo surrounded, there is little you can do but struggle. You push the MechaHoka’s face away with your free hand, wincing as he chomps down on your hand, your own face darting forward to sink your needle teeth into his soft exposed throat. Your push his face away harder and pull your head back, soon to be rewarded with a choked gurgle and a spray of viscous fluid. You spit out the chunk of wires and flesh, making your way to your feet. The world seems to shift then, becoming disjointed and jittery. You vaguely remember finding your sword, but after that it’s all static.
When you finally come to, you’re straddling a MechaHoka, your sword buried in the ground beef remnants of his chest. Bo touches your shoulder and your head turns sluggishly to look at him. He hauls your feet, the room is littered with bits and pieces of dead MechaHokas. You feel like you should be crying or sick to your stomach, but you can’t manage to summon the emotions necessary to perform those actions. Bo leads you on, arm around your waist to keep you steady. Bits of green weeds start to poke through the cracks in the walls and floor, you catch sight of your other selves, alive and unharmed. They stare at you with mournful eyes that beg for death. You pretend not to see them, for your own sanity. Bo stops suddenly and you take your eyes off the floor, before you there stands a girl with pigtails and a pink sweater. You grip your sword and lunge instinctively, only to be grabbed by Bo. The girl is cringing, flinching back away from the blade but still manages to give you a weary smile.
“Mado?” you say, lowering the sword, she nods, offering a hand. She’s come to take you home. You take her hand in yours and let her lead you down the last hallway, to a set of double doors. Sunlight pours between the cracks around the frame, Mado pushes it open and you’re momentarily blinded by the brightness. You step into an abandoned park, knee deep in grass and weeds. There are doors in the playground equipment, only one is open. With Bo behind you two, you step through that door and into the waking world.

BEST AUTOMOTIVE TAIL LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT SERVICE IN AUSTIN TX AUSTINAUTOMOTIVE TAIL LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Austin TX: Tail lamp housing is one of the crucial parts of lighting systems on any vehicle. It incorporates tail light as well as brake light in it. These light are provided as part of safety measure in every vehicle. With tail light, a vehicle makes its presence noticeable to other vehicle behind it whereas brake light warn the driver behind to be cautious of slowing the vehicle. In general, on applying brakes the brightness of tail light increases. Most modern car achieve this with different bulb for tail light and brake light in the same housing. But this isn’t true in case of bikes due to limited housing space. Let’s find out how both lighting works in bike. A bulb with dual filament serve the purpose of tail light as well as brake light and its popular by name 1157 bulb. This kind of bulb is very famous in automotive industry which can perform dual action. It mostly consist of two filament – one filament is comparatively thinner to other.
4 Essential Things to Know About Your Car’s Tail Light Bulbs Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Austin TX: Tail lights are red lights on the back of a vehicle. They are turned on whenever the headlights are on. When stopping, the tail lights have a bright red appearance compared to a dimmer red appearance when the vehicle is in motion. Location of Tail Lights Bulbs Tail lights are on the rear end of the vehicle, facing rearward. Some tail lights have reflective material inside of them to help amplify the light, allowing them to appear brighter and larger. Most states in America restrict the colors of the tail lights to red. How Tail Light Bulbs Work Tail lights work on a relay, which means they turn on when the headlights are turned on. This way, the driver does not have to worry about turning on the tail lights. Tail lights are wired to the same switch that turns on the headlights, making them function easily. If you have automatic lights, the tail lights will turn on when your vehicle is on. If you use a switch to turn your vehicle’s lights on, the tail lights will illuminate once your headlights are on. In addition, the tail lights are wired right to the battery. Types of Tail Light Bulbs LED lights are becoming a more popular choice for tail lights. LED lights use a smaller amount of energy and last longer than traditional tail lights. Halogen lights are the most common type of light and come standard on most vehicles. Xenon lights are a third type of tail light that are strong, bright, and higher intensity than other lights. These lights use an electrical arc compared to a filament. Safety Aspect of Tail Light Bulbs Tail lights provide a safety aspect of the vehicle. They show the rear edge of the vehicle to allow other drivers to appropriately gauge the size and shape of the car. In addition, they allow other vehicles to see the car in inclement weather such as rain or snow. If a tail light has gone out, replace it right away. You can get pulled over for having a tail light that does not work. Tail lights are an important safety aspect of your vehicle. They are located in the rear and face rearward to show other cars where you are located on the road. There are different types of tail lights you can purchase depending on your preference. Common Tail Light Bulbs Problems There is a wire inside the bulb that creates light that is called the filament. One way to pinpoint a bad bulb is to take it out of the socket into which it is plugged and examine the filament. If the filament is broken you will have to replace the bulb. If you change the bulb and it does not work, there may be one of several things wrong with the assembly. A Bad Fuse The fuse box is the first thing you want to check for when any electrical component is not working. A fuse is a piece of metal inside a plastic casing. When the current flowing through it is too high, it will break. It can actually be a good thing when it breaks because it protects the other components of the electrical system from damage. There are a couple of different places where a fuse box may be located. You will first want to look in the main fuse box that you will find under the hood. You will see a black box that has a lot of wires attached to it. Simply take off the cover to access the fuses inside. The second place you should look is inside the cabin of the vehicle. It tends to be on the front passengers' side. You should look behind a plastic panel that you will find underneath the dash. In some automobiles, you will have to open the passenger door all the way to find it. Bad tail light Bulbs fuse Each fuse is attached to an electrical component. You will find where each fuse goes and what it does when you remove the covering to get to the fuse. You should also find this information in your owner's manual. You can also look up a year, make, model, or a specific diagram online. When you locate the fuse that operates the car’s tail lights, you can test it with an automotive circuit tester. The tester will light up if the fuse is good. If it doesn’t light up, the fuse should be replaced with an identical fuse it should have the same amperage. There are some fuses where you can see a break in the metal wire when the fuse is bad. Faulty Tail Light Bulbs If the fuses are operational, you will want to examine the tail lamp bulbs themselves. You are likely to have to take out the tail light cover. However, some vehicles have an access panel. If this is the case, simply twist the bulb out of the lens. Socket Failure Occasionally your vehicle’s sockets may fail. If a bulb is plucked into a failed socket it won’t work. Moisture entering the socket can cause a socket to fail. A socket may also fail if it is wired improperly. If the bulb and fuse both look okay, you will want to take the bulb out and examine the socket. If the socket is discolored or if the pins are broken or bent, the socket is probably bad. You can also check the electrical current at the socket with a multimeter. If there is not any electricity reaching the pins, your car may have a major electrical problem. Dilapidated Wiring If electricity is not being transmitted to the socket, and fuses are all in working condition, there may be a damaged or broken wire somewhere along the line. This is the point where things can get rather involved and you may want to take your car into a professional mechanic. If you decide to continue examining the car yourself, you will need to get a wiring diagram. You will want to make sure the wires do not have cracked or broken casings. You will want to examine the ground strap as well. The ground strap is the thick black wire that attaches to the battery’s negative terminal to the chassis of the vehicle. A damaged ground strap will not be able to deliver electricity to the sockets very well. Control Switch Failure Tail Lights might also fail because the switch on the dash that operates them is faulty. If the wires check out properly, you will want to examine the control switch. The same switch generally turns on headlights, parking lights, and tail lights. You will need to pull the switch out from the dash and test it with a multimeter to see if it is working.
TIPS Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Austin TX: Safety is critical anytime you are working with bulbs and wires. Start by disconnecting the car battery. This will reduce the risk of shock or electrocution. Once you have done this, you'll need to access the tail lights through the trunk or rear hatch. It will be helpful to do this in a well-lit place, or you can grab a flashlight. There could be extra carpet or padding in the way of the access point. Move these away until you can easily see the back of the taillights. Some cars have a panel you'll have to remove, so have your screwdriver handy.
COST Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Austin TX: If a bulb goes out on your tail light, it will cost around $20 to replace. If the assembly needs to be replaced costs vary greatly. If you go to a dealership or auto body shop for your new tail light assembly, you will pay anywhere between $200 to $2000 for each assembly. If you have a luxury car, you will pay even more than that. If you do it yourself, you can get the cost down to a price range of $30 to $250 per assembly. How much does a tail light bulbs replacement cost? Every car has lights on the rear that tell motorists behind when the car will be slowing or stopping, turning, or reversing. The tail lights, brake lights, turn signal indicators, and often the reverse lights are all contained in the tail light lens. From normal operation, the tail light lens can either become cloudy due to the environment around the car or, more often than not, the taillight lens is accidentally broken and requires replacement. The price for tail light lens replacement starts at $100 and goes to $750 and beyond. Tail lights are an important safety aspect of your vehicle. They are located in the rear and face rearward to show other cars where you are located on the road. There are different types of tail lights you can purchase depending on your preference.
Common Tail Light Bulbs Problems
There is a wire inside the bulb that creates light that is called the filament. One way to pinpoint a bad bulb is to take it out of the socket into which it is plugged and examine the filament. If the filament is broken you will have to replace the bulb.
If you change the bulb and it does not work, there may be one of several things wrong with the assembly.
A Bad Fuse
The fuse box is the first thing you want to check for when any electrical component is not working.
Bad tail light Bulbs fuse
Each fuse is attached to an electrical component.
Faulty Tail Light Bulbs
If the fuses are operational, you will want to examine the tail lamp bulbs themselves. You are likely to have to take out the tail light cover. However, some vehicles have an access panel. If this is the case, simply twist the bulb out of the lens.
Socket Failure
Occasionally your vehicle’s sockets may fail.
Dilapidated Wiring
If electricity is not being transmitted to the socket, and fuses are all in working condition, there may be a damaged or broken wire somewhere along the line.
Control Switch Failure
Tail Lights might also fail because the switch on the dash that operates them is faulty. If the wires check out properly, you will want to examine the control switch.
The same switch generally turns on headlights, parking lights, and tail lights. You will need to pull the switch out from the dash and test it with a multimeter to see if it is working.
TIPS
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Wichita KS: Safety is critical anytime you are working with bulbs and wires.
COST
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Wichita KS: If a bulb goes out on your tail light, it will cost around $20 to replace.
Some tail light lenses contain LED bulbs or circuit boards, which is why the cost of replacement seems exorbitant.

TIPS
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near McAllen TX: Safety is critical anytime you are working with bulbs and wires.
COST
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near McAllen TX: If a bulb goes out on your tail light, it will cost around $20 to replace.

The tail lights, brake lights, turn signal indicators, and often the reverse lights are all contained in the tail light lens.

The price for tail light lens replacement starts at $100 and goes to $750 and beyond.
Some tail light lenses contain LED bulbs or circuit boards, which is why the cost of replacement seems exorbitant.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why does my tail light bulb keep blowing?
A loose connection in the lamp holder can also cause bulbs to blow. This will cause electricity to arc across the contact, cause too much heat and blow the bulb. This can very often be diagnosed by looking at the contact on the bottom of the bulb to see if it is pitted.
Which bulb is the tail light?
Tail lights are engaged when you turn on your headlights or when your parking brake is on, whereas the brake lights will light up immediately when you apply pressure to the brakes. On most vehicles, the tail lights are red and the brake lights are a more luminous red.
Why do my light bulbs keep burning out so fast?
There are many possible reasons why a light bulb burns out quickly: The power supply voltage may be too high. Bulbs may be loose or connected improperly. Excessive vibrations may be causing the filament to break.
How Tail Lights Work?
Tail lights work on a relay, which means they turn on when the headlights are turned on.
What are the Types of Tail Lights?
LED lights are becoming a more popular choice for tail lights.
How do I improve my vehicle’s light output?
Longer days and nights, failing eyesight, poor driving conditions — all of these are reasons to seek out brighter headlamps. But how do you go about improving your ride’s light output? As it is, manufacturers are taking care to outfit their new vehicles with the high-strength, bluish-white beams of HID systems, but what if you don’t want to trade in your trusty vehicle and start all over? Fortunately, there are several alternatives to choose from.
Perhaps it may be time to upgrade to a new set of headlights and/or tail lights to reflect your style while improving your light output and visibility in all conditions.
If your bulbs are halogen, you can replace them with those of a higher wattage or higher color temperature, like Putco Pure Halogen Headlight Bulbs. The ideal color temp rating for human eyes is 4300K, just in case you were wondering.
Upgrade your bulbs with an LED conversion kit, putting the newest technology within reach of most cars and trucks on the road today.
Make sure that the headlights are aimed correctly. If not, you should take your car back to the dealer and have the experts adjust your headlights’ aim back to spec.
It also pays to know what kind of lamps your vehicle came with — either reflector (forward light from rearward projection into the reflective dish) or projector (with the round, thick focus lens at the front of the lamp).
What Causes Moisture In Tail Lights? How Do I Fix It?
Moisture in your tail lights is a relatively uncommon occurrence, but it can cause serious problems. Depending on the size of the droplets within your light housings, or the amount of water that’s gathered, you could be dealing with one of two issues: condensation or water ingress. Condensation is a naturally occurring condition that can affect any light, so you don’t necessarily have a defective product on your hands. You could either be dealing with a broken seal or a crack in the tail light itself, but either way, it needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Condensation is a naturally occurring phenomenon that can affect any light. It doesn’t necessarily suggest a defect in the product, as opposed to what happens when a leak occurs. Water accumulation can lead to system failure from a short circuit, often only blowing a fuse, if you’re lucky. This means you need to be sure of your diagnosis. You’ll know if it’s simple condensation if the droplets are smaller, while ingress can be recognized by larger droplets and a visible pool of water.
Are black tail lights legal?
Any Google search on this topic will no doubt lead to countless discussion forums and message boards wherein motorists lament their being pulled over and ticketed for an illegal set of too-dark tail lights. We can tell you up-front that tinting or smoking your headlights is illegal anywhere you live, but it’s not necessarily the case with tail lights.
The truth is that tail lights may be tinted to a certain degree, but for obvious safety reasons, the reflectors must be visible from 300-500 ft out. You may need to check local laws to know which is required for your custom setup. You can look up your local vehicle code on the DMV’s website. At the end of the day, you don’t want to risk anyone’s life or, at the very least, a sizable fine for the sake of looking cool.

4 Essential Things to Know About Your Car’s Tail Light Bulbs
Automotive Tail Light Bulb Replacement Service near Omaha NE: Tail lights are red lights on the back of a vehicle. They are turned on whenever the headlights are on. When stopping, the tail lights have a bright red appearance compared to a dimmer red appearance when the vehicle is in motion.
Location of Tail Lights Bulbs
Tail lights are on the rear end of the vehicle, facing rearward. Some tail lights have reflective material inside of them to help amplify the light, allowing them to appear brighter and larger. Most states in America restrict the colors of the tail lights to red.
How Tail Light Bulbs Work
Tail lights work on a relay, which means they turn on when the headlights are turned on.
Types of Tail Light Bulbs
LED lights are becoming a more popular choice for tail lights.
Safety Aspect of Tail Light Bulbs
Tail lights provide a safety aspect of the vehicle.
Bad tail light Bulbs fuse
Each fuse is attached to an electrical component.
Dilapidated Wiring
If electricity is not being transmitted to the socket, and fuses are all in working condition, there may be a damaged or broken wire somewhere along the line. This is the point where things can get rather involved and you may want to take your car into a professional mechanic.

The same switch generally turns on headlights, parking lights, and tail lights. You will need to pull the switch out from the dash and test it with a multimeter to see if it is working.

Chapter Summary: Sword in hand, Sasuke advances on Sakura’s still form; electricity forms in the palm of his right. Even unconscious, there’s a chance she’ll be able to heal herself if he doesn’t kill her on the first try. No one truly knows the capabilities of Sōzō saisei except for the woman before him and her accursed teacher.
Chapter Beta: None besides my own eyes. I’ll go through the spellchecker tomorrow or something. You know, when I’m supposed to be preparing for school...heehee.
AN: Just a note on Sakura’s abilities…I feel fairly certain that Sakura’s healing and regeneration abilities in this AU are so strong as to encompass her entire body and interior systems…and would include any tiny human passengers who may or may not be tagging along for the ride. As such, she can probably take a lot more strain and trauma than a regular woman would be able to take, hence why her previous battle with Danzō didn’t result in any lasting damage to her or potential tiny human passenger...
Sword in hand, Sasuke advances on Sakura’s still form; electricity forms in the palm of his right. Even unconscious, there’s a chance she’ll be able to heal herself if he doesn’t kill her on the first try. No one truly knows the capabilities of Sōzō saisei except for the woman before him and her accursed teacher.
Sasuke’s eyes narrow at the thought of the Senju, and he lunges forward, the electric-charged palm of his hand aimed at Sakura’s throat.
A familiar shape appears out of the corner of his eye, and he diverts his course to instead bring up his katana to guard against it. Metal skids against metal as Kakashi frowns at him, catching Sasuke’s blade with his own rarely-used sword a moment before it touches him.
“Well, this is the opposite of discreet,” he remarks mildly. “You two know people can hear you, right? Not exactly the most opportune time for a quarrel. Although…” His eyes flit to Sakura’s still form and back to Sasuke. “I have to point out that using genjutsu to win an argument is probably not the best solution.”
Though the words are meant to mimic his usual light humour, there is steel in his tone.
“Leave us,” Sasuke orders.
“What are you doing, Sasuke?”
“Removing an obstacle.”
“I never thought I would hear you refer to a woman in such a way. Especially not one who has done so much for you.”
“Then you don’t know me as well as you think. Now move.” When Kakashi refuses to budge, Sasuke’s Mangekyō Sharingan spins at him in threat. “Do not make me remind you of the feudal duties you have to the Uchiha. I am your lord, you will obey me. My word to you is law.”
There’s a subtle narrowing of Kakashi’s eye.
“I did teach you of the importance of law—that those who break faith are scum,” the older man allows quietly. “But I also taught you that those who betray their friends are worse than scum.”
“Then it’s a good thing I never had the luxury of friends,” Sasuke replies, allowing electricity to course through his body and through the place where the weapons touch. He sends such a powerful wave forth, even though Kakashi is also adept with lightning, he is sent crashing to the ground by the current. “This will happen. The Senju must be destroyed, and how better to break their spirits than to eliminate the civilian girl they were foolish enough to entrust with their legacy?”
He turns to Sakura once more, ignoring the way her blank green eyes make his stomach tremble uneasily. He shakes it off, refusing to let her affect him in this moment.
“They sent you to me to betray me, but it seems they handed me a key to winning this war,” he tells her, readying his sword. “Just as in the days of old, the war will turn on the meddling of a woman.” He smirks. “At least Mito had a demon within her. What are you, now that your strength and healing has been nullified?”
Without waiting another second, he thrusts the blade directly at her throat.
As fast as the lightning he just sent through Kakashi’s body, Sakura’s arms snap upwards, and she catches the blade of Sasuke’s sword between her palms. Opening her eyes, she meets his surprised ones, and they blaze with anger and hurt.
“A natural genjutsu type,” she says, shoving the blade away from her, the hilt of it smacking him in the forehead.
Sasuke staggers back, trying to clear the starts from his eyes; he feels a hard kick to his chest that sends him to the ground. He tries to rally, expecting an attack, but sees that instead of coming after him, she is now bent beside Kakashi, checking his pulse and pressing glowing green fingers to his head.
Kakashi groans and begins to stir.
Then Sakura stands and takes a step toward Sasuke, hand clenched over her heart and tear tracks drying on her cheeks.
“This isn’t you, Sasuke-kun,” she says. “I can…I can forgive you this because I know you’re hurting. Let me go in peace…or put down your weapon and let us speak. Please. There’s something you must know.”
“I have no interest in anything you have to say,” he replies, finally getting to his feet and brandishing his weapon. “Or anything you have said.”
She looks as if he has slapped her.
“You don’t mean that,” she whispers.
“You said Itachi would live.”
“I couldn’t have known—”
“You said you would stand by my side.”
“Sasuke-kun—”
“Your words no longer have meaning. They are all lies born of desperation,” he cuts her off. “Arm yourself or don’t. Either way, I will kill you.”
“I don’t want to fight you,” she insists. “But if you give me no choice…”
“Neither of us ever had a choice to begin with,” he answers, and attacks.
“Sakura!” Kakashi snaps, and tosses her his katana; she catches it and uses it to counter Sasuke’s first attack, then thrust at him with her blade. He parries and swings around to land a second blow, but she knocks this away as well.
As expected, she is adept with a katana as with naginata.
They trade several blows – his are mostly offensive, but as usual her defense is perfect.
Sakura ducks a wide arcing slash from him, and then once more they fight in close quarters, trading thrusts and blocks. Sasuke attempts another slicing strike from above, but she ducks with ease and steps away, forcing him to use a Shunshin to bring himself in front of her again. He subtly speeds up his strikes, hoping to eventually cut her off guard in her defense – swings again, and again she ducks to the side, and he scoops his sword low, aiming for her legs.
She jumps up and over his blade, landing on the ground, and when he tries for her legs again, she kicks the hand the holds his blade, forcing him back.
He staggers, feigning unbalance, and as she straightens up, he whips his sword toward her middle. Sakura’s eyes go wide and she turns at the last second, taking the blow across her left arm. Blood sprays, torn muscle and bone gaping left in his sword’s wake; despite her attempt at deflection the force of the blow cuts deep into the arm, causing it to hang on by only a quarter-inch of flesh.
“Sasuke, no!” Kakashi snaps, but he is still too injured to be of much help.
But Sakura barely flinches, frowning at the wound with something sad and thoughtful in her eyes. Green chakra is already pulling the wound together, as he knew it would.
“As you can see, I have no intention of going easy on you,” he tells her, brandishing his blood-soaked blade. “I would suggest you do the same.”
“That’s how it is between you and Naruto,” she replies quietly. “It has never been that way between us. I am not your enemy, Sasuke-kun. I’m not your friend. I am the woman who loves you. And I don’t want to kill you.”
“And that’s your mistake,” he growls, his Susanoo activates, a skeletal arm exploding outward at her. He hears and feels it connect with her body, sending her tumbling back out of his tent, which is ripped from the ground around them, exposing them all to the night.
There are shouts of dismay and surprise all around them as soldiers and camp followers alike try to understand what just happened. These become even more shocked when Sasuke’s opponent staggers to her feet, torn haori hanging from her shoulders and long hair unbound. There is no mistaking her identity, and a ripple of disbelief surrounds them.
“You can still move?” he jeers.
“You know full well that I am different from other women,” she tells him tonelessly.
He snarls and allows his Susanoo to grow stronger, forming a sword now which he swings at her in a wide arc. She drops to the floor and rolls out of the way, causing him to smash into the blacksmith’s stand. Flaming coals go flying across the ground, and people in the surrounding area scream, diving out of the path of the battle.
Sasuke growls and inhales deeply, expelling a giant fireball in her direction.
As expected, she ducks out of the way and then suddenly shoves her hand forward, tiny blue flickers of chakra licking at her fingers, and plants them on his chest. A ripple of pain goes through his entire body and Sasuke staggers back, his Susanoo vanishing from around him.
Chakra seal, he realises with an inner curse. A specialty of the Uzumaki—of course she would have learned it.
“That slipshod technique won’t hold very long,” he tells her.
“It will hold long enough.”
But she doesn’t sound as confident as he’s used to.
Sasuke smirks, not without his own tricks even if she’s sealed away his stronger attacks. He lashes out with several fingerfuls of wire to wrap around her limbs.
In a movement he wouldn’t have been able to see with a regular Sharingan, she uses Kawarimi and a Shushin combo, materialising behind him fast enough to knock his sword to the ground, pinning it beneath her foot. She opens her mouth, probably to plead with her again, and he backhands her with his free hand, the force of it causing her to spin in the air before she hits the ground.
Releasing his sword, he swings it hard downwards, but she reaches up and catches it with her hand, chakra gathering in her palm to form a tough barrier across her skin and repel his blade. With her opposite leg, she kicks him in the chest, making him double over, then jumps clear as he forces several projectiles of electricity from his body.
He takes this time to hurry forward, thrusting forward; she parries, and then he kicks at abdomen, only for her to duck to the side once again. This time it’s more hurried, sloppy; its her sword arm that gets in his way, and the ball of his foot connects so strongly with her elbow that he hears bones snap.
Sakura stumbles back, shock and dismay once more crossing her features. A flicker of guilt rises up within him, only to be burned away by the power of his anger.
How dare his enemy make him feel remorse, after what she and her people have taken from him? He has to destroy her now—but it will be impossible as long as he can still see more of the woman than the warrior in her.
“You’re still not fighting me with all your strength,” he accuses her. “Do you believe making yourself look pathetic will end this sooner?”
“I won’t,” she replies. “If I do, you’ll die.”
“If you don’t, I’ll kill you. If you’re so eager to die, stay still and I’ll make it quick.”
“This isn’t you,” she tells him stubbornly. “This isn’t…this is not you.”
Confusion reigns all around them, the whisperings of his people growing louder.
“What’s going on?”
“Sasuke-sama is fighting the heir to Senju Tsunade!”
“What?!”
“How did she get here?”
“Was she trying to kill Sasuke-sama?”
“So soon after Itachi-sama…”
“We should help him—”
“No one interfere,” Sasuke snarls, pitching his voice loud enough that it carries throughout the din of scared and nervous people. He juts his chin toward Sakura. “This is a matter between the heirs of the Uchiha and the Senju.”
“Is that all we are?” she asks him tensely.
“It’s all we were ever meant to be.”
Her eyes become rounder at this, and then a look of resolve passes over her face. She nods, once, and then the seal upon her forehead gleams. The black ribbon-like marking fans out across her forehead, lashing around her neck and beneath her clothing. The people surrounding them gasp in awe, but that’s all the warning he gets.
Sakura throws herself forward, fist raised and aimed at his chest. Sasuke only just pulls up Susanoo’s ribcage around him, watching cracks appear in them as her knuckles connect.
Jumping backward, still encased in the protective cage, he summons another giant fireball and expels it at her. Her fingers fly, creating a pillar of water that spirals around it, extinguishing it; at the same time, a wave breaks off and swirls behind him, attempting to capture him from behind. He allows his chakra to flare around Susanoo, causing the water to evaporate before it even hits him, but it turns out it was simply a distraction, as Sakura bursts through the steam and aims a kick at his Susanoo, shattering the ribs and breaking it around him.
Sasuke goes flying backward, but she keeps coming, charging forward and punching him in the gut.
Blood and bile burst from his mouth, sharp, tearing pain from inside flaring up and making his eyes water. His vision blurs, and he goes down—hard.
“Is this what you wanted?” she pants, angry. “For me to hurt you? Are you looking for some kind if punishment? Is that what this is?” Her anger fades to sadness. “Itachi’s death was not your fault.”
“No,” he agrees, spitting blood on the ground as he gets shakily to his feet. “It was yours.”
His words are a shock to her, enough so that she doesn’t see his next attack. He kicks outward with his foot, hitting her at the top of her sternum. She staggers back and he lunges, elbowing her savagedly in her face, and then as she recovers, seizing her bodily and swinging her around. As she tries to find her footing, his leg snaps out and he kicks her in the head.
She falls backward, and before she can touch the ground he skids, picking up his discarded sword, and thrusts it at her; she dodges, flipping out of his path and rolling to her feet. He is ready, though, thrusting a hand forward, heel to her chin, sending her head snapping back. Then his whips around, backhanding her again.
She hits the ground, scrambles back to her feet and when he keeps coming, she desperately stomps downward on the ground, sending it crumbling beneath him. He loses his footing, but jumps into the air, gathering chakra into the balls of his feet to skate across the flying debris to get to her. A chidori forms in his hand, and he draws back with a snarl, aiming for her gut.
Sakura’s eyes go wide, panic and fear and something primal flashing across her irises, and in a movement he doesn’t expect, she reaches out and grabs his incoming hand both of hers. Her blue-green chakra gasps and spits as it comes in contact with the electricity, but she still grasps him tightly and swings him around and over her shoulder, before throwing him down into the ground so hard that the earth ripples as if made of water.
Pain snaps through him, and his lungs constrict as the air punches out of them. For several seconds he wonders if she’s crushed his lungs, dooming him to a slow death by suffication.
But then a tiny burst of oxygen makes its way down his throat, searing his lungs like razor wire, and he realises he won’t die in that manner.
No, something worse awaits, he suspects, discovering he has yet to regain feeling in his limbs.
Sakura stands over him, panting and shaking, her mark fading back within its seal. She takes a step forward, then another, reaching out trembling fingers for him, and then collapses to her scant inches from him.
“Go on then,” he goads her. “Finish me off.”
“No!” she hisses at him. “I didn’t want to—you were going to—”
She can’t seem to get her thoughts in order.
“I would if I were in your place.”
“If you truly wanted me dead, I would be,” she reminds him sadly. “You know that as well as I do.”
“Tell yourself whatever lies you need to find comfort.”
“There is nothing about this that makes me feel comforted,” she replies, and then begins to reach for him. “Please…rest. When you wake up, we can…we can…”
Her eyes go unfocussed then, she slumps to one side.
It seems he has pushed her to her limit; despite having the Byakugō, her chakra reserves are nowhere near as vast as an Uzumaki’s.
Slowly, the rest of the world around him comes back, and the murmuring of his people with it. He tries to will his limbs to move, to fight the numbness in them.
“Well? What are we waiting for?!” someone – Inabi – demands, voice tinged with fury and excitement. “Now’s the time to kill the Senju bitch and send her head back to her people!”
He emerges from the nearest crowd, sword held high and at the ready, heading for Sakura—
“RASENGAN!”
The familiar, sharp energy of Naruto’s signature technique barrels through the crowd, sending Inabi flying into a cluster of tents several hundred metres away. On the heel of it, Sasuke senses the familiar blazing chakra of his rival.
Uzumaki Naruto appears in the middle of the Uchiha camp, blazing like a human torch and glowering at anyone who might come close.
“It’s a good thing I didn’t listen to you when you said you were just going for a walk,” he tells the unconscious woman that he pulls into his arms.
Sasuke finally manages to pull himself to his feet, but he is winded and weakened; definitely no match for Uzumaki right now.
His rival notices him, and blue eyes blaze red like the fox demon within him. “And you—have you lost your fucking mind?! This is Sakura!”
Sasuke’s face curls into a sneer. “This…is my enemy…”
“What the hell are you saying?” Naruto snarls, raising a fist. “This is your—”
“Naruto.”
Kakashi is staggering through the crowd, walking gingerly despite his injuries; he is being supported by Rin and a still injured Obito. He meets Sasuke’s gaze, disapproval etched into his features, and then turns his attention to the Uzumaki leader.
“You should both leave. What has happened here tonight will already have far-reaching consequences. Don’t make them worse.”
“Worse?” Naruto demands harshly, glaring down at Sakura’s unconscious form in his arms. “How much worse than this?”
“We are all of us here duty-bound to protect the leader of the Uchiha with our lives,” Kakashi continues, gesturing at the people standing around them. “If we were forced to carry out that directive tonight…much more blood will be shed. That is something I don’t think any of us wish for.”
Some of the fire fades from Naruto’s gaze, and he looks around at the people. Many still seem a little shell-shocked, but others have gathered weapons and torches, and stand waiting for an order.
He sighs and looks to Sasuke. “This is not how it was meant to be. We should be preparing for peace…not continuing this war.”
“That dream died with my brother.”
“This is not over,” Naruto tells him in determination.
“It is tonight.”
They glare at one another, and then Naruto turns to leave, carrying Sakura away; the crowd parts for him, everyone no doubt aware of the foolishness in challenging’s him.
“Kakashi,” Sasuke says sharply. His former mentor looks up. “I release you from your clan’s oath of fealty. You have made your allegiances clear tonight.”
A clamour of shock ripples through the crowd.
“What?!” Rin gasps.
“Sasuke…” Obito begins.
“I’ve made my decision. If you wish to question it, you can go with him,” Sasuke tells them both coldly. Then he raises his voice and addresses the people of the camp. “That goes for anyone else who would falter. But do not expect any mercy should we cross paths on the battlefield.”
There is a long beat of stunned silence, and then Kakashi nods.
“If that’s what you wish,” he tells him, bowing his head. “I will take my leave.”
“Kakashi…you can’t…we’ll go with you…”
“Stay,” he tells Rin, resting his hand on her shoulder a moment. He shares a glance with Obito. “I can’t ask you to betray your blood.”
“You shouldn’t have to,” Obito says darkly, glaring at Sasuke, who returns the gesture unflinchingly. Kakashi leans in then and whispers something to him, some comforting words or last farewell between friends, and Obito’s expression becomes a little less angry. He nods. “Until we meet again, my friend.”
Rin is weeping as Kakashi ambles after Naruto.
Sasuke watches them go, clenching his fists and trying to ignore the hollow ache behind his ribs that he suspects has nothing to do with his injuries.
Obito comes to stand beside him, watching the others leave.
“If this is how you intend to lead us, the Uchiha will be extinct within a year,” he tells him coldly.
“You had the opportunity to leave.”
“No, I really didn’t. Without Kakashi around, I have to make sure someone doesn’t stick a knife in your back. But you should know it’s only my respect for Itachi that will keep me from doing it myself.”
“You’re welcome to try,” Sasuke says, turning his Mangekyō upon his older cousin. He remains weak from his battle with Danzō, and even under normal circumstances, Sasuke’s bloodline talents make him stronger.
“If your stubbornness causes harm to my wife and child in any way, I will,” Obito promises.
Sasuke shrugs and looks off into the distance. He imagines he can still see Sakura’s hair rippling in the wind, but he shakes off that fancy.
Like Mito before her, she made her choice, and he has made his.
Naruto was right; this is far from over.
つづく
So, Sasuke is a butthead, but it’s not entirely his fault. And Sakura got to give him a bit of a smackdown, which I thought she missed out on in the canon series. I’m really trying to balance the SasuSaku love story with the NaruSaku friendship here, without going as overboard with the latter as Kishimoto did. Time will tell how I manage that one...
And before people ask me why Sakura isn’t telling Sasuke she’s pregnant…would you risk your baby’s safety to tell someone as irrational, volatile and murderous as Sasuke is right now? We already know his judgement is kind of terrible…
The good thing about all this is that we’ve hit rock bottom. You all know what that means 😊
Reviews and constructive criticism are much appreciated! Also, if you are in a supportive mood, I have a ko-fi button at the top of the page, or you can find my tip jar here.
Thanks for your interest in my work!

The Lesbian, Bi and Queer Year in Television 2017: Love, bravery, and found family
2017, if you ask me, has been an absolute toothbrush of a year: cleaning out the toxic plaque, bloodying the gums a little in the process, and hopefully leaving us with a minty fresh start to 2018. Optimism, in the face of that exhaustion which December almost always dredges up, is a tough sell. Personally, I find it helpful to take a look backward, to find something productive if not inspirational to stand on in the past twelve months — something to arm yourself with, essentially, as the calendar turns over and the seasons begin anew. Though media remains, by most accounts, leaps and bounds behind where we’d all like it to be in terms of representation, there are some occasions in which the stars align between the creator’s vision and the viewer’s hunger, and characters have an impact larger than could be predicted. The 100’s Clexa, for example, along with Wynonna Earp’s WayHaught, and Supergirl’s Sanvers — all characters and couples subject to their own individual issues and idiosyncrasies, and yet have left lasting marks on the current state of queer women television fandoms, inspiring fans to show up in droves at conventions and signings. Sanvers, in particular, seems to have left its mark on 2017 as the ship to discuss, even if (like me) you’re a season behind. HONORABLE MENTION: ALEX DANVERS OF SUPERGIRL Coming out stories have become a staple for lesbian, bi and queer character introduction, and variation on them is rare — Alex Danvers stands apart, in company with One Day at a Time’s Elena Alvarez in its focus on family. Where Alex Danvers is concerned, we’re given the epitome of the late bloomer that tugs itself away from stereotypes and corrects for them — soft and cautious at first, pulled out of her shell by an unforeseeable, intense connection, exploring a world not just new to her, but finally the right fit after purported years of her character struggling to understand the more intimate relationships in her life (or lack thereof). Alex, and her subsequent relationship with Maggie, has undoubtedly meant so much to so many. Bold, then, that they should separate — but in a world where the buried gay trope is, ironically, alive and well, a parting centered not on fatality but on future plans is unfortunately refreshing. A little haphazard, a little slapped together in its reasoning, but the decision to have Alex hold strong on something evidently so important to her is respectable. In the way that we watch straight main characters on shows run through seasons of love interests and deal with the aftermath, it’s just as refreshing to have an opportunity to see how Alex grows into herself as the series continues. Looking back on my watchlist from 2017, I can track four distinct characters (and their respective relationships, romantic and otherwise) that struck a real chord with me this year. I’ve tried to focus on characters from brand new shows, with one exception, as the story arc snuck in pretty much under the wire and absolutely blew me away. Tying the year together with a neat knot is impossible, but if I had to pin it down, the discussion of family, when we find our own and when we let them go, seems to sum it up pretty well. -cue Seasons of Love- SPRING: DEVON OF I LOVE DICK I Love Dick is a show that (at least in my corner of the internet) went largely unnoticed. Its story is a mess of threads, a triangle that’s not really a triangle so much as it is a Venn diagram of desire and insecurity, and Devon is little more than a B story to that plot. But her cool, collected search for artistry in a town that traps her as much as it inspires her, creates the foundation for an amazing character. We see it in her backstory, in the show’s fifth episode, “A Short History of Weird Girls”, where the three main female characters tell a brief history of their lives and their artistic journey. Devon walks us through her battle for identity, her unwillingness to conform to gender stereotypes, and the college girlfriend who left her heartbroken when she was unwilling to jump wholeheartedly into a relationship. Devon ends up dropping out of school, moving back to her hometown, and getting a job fixing other people’s problems. It’s when Devon opens up and begins mingling with the artists gathered in Marfa that she begins to let go of her control a little. She may not agree with a person’s methods of self-expression, but defends to the point of arrest their right to do it, as we see when she defends the borderline drifter girl she’s seeing, Toby. Toby, an incredible character in her own right, is an artist who finds artistic, aesthetic beauty in the shapes and colors of hardcore porn. Their scenes together are electric, their relationship intense, full of conflict and the tossing of social and sexual norms — but Devon’s possessive attitudes drive a wedge between them, in a scene that makes the jilted jock stereotype of someone so fervently attempting to reject such banality. There seems to be a link here between Devon’s sexual and gender fluidity and her journey to letting go of her own rigidity. By the end of the season, she’s leading the cowboy and trucker men of Marfa in a dance, allowing them to open themselves up to expression outside of their prescribed slot in the gender binary. Every breath of her screen time is resistance. Artistic expression. Entirely genuine, combatively unique. Even when I Love Dick suffers from its more abstract concepts, Devon takes no shit, stands tall, refuses to suffer for who she is. When her brief fling with Toby all but ends, she continues her work, tireless, seeking unity — if not of her hometown, then of herself. SUMMER: KAT EDISON OF THE BOLD TYPE Kat Edison takes no prisoners. Her approach to a conversation is a strong fist against a table and an open hand already waving away your ill-formed argument. Armed with a mountain of professional know-how and instinct, her inexperience, it turns out, is more personal, an inability to slow down long enough to re-evaluate aspects of her life, and the people who are important to her. It’s when she’s met with someone so totally opposite, someone who puts the individual under the lens and captures it, that she begins to shift. Kat’s focus is on the social, the community — Adena’s is instead on the expression of the individual. Their initial interactions are rife with misunderstanding and discomfort, but it only pushes Kat further, to explore the draw between them, to a woman as outspoken and independent as herself. A crush becomes more. A friendship becomes a deeper form of sharing, of educating one another, of support. And even when it becomes physical, their relationship comes back to that point — even when separated, even when protesting from opposite corners of the world, there is a through line of supporting each other in their separate paths, returning to each other when they can, but never damning their respective causes. Put simply? Ultimate power couple. AUTUMN: WENDY CARR OF MINDHUNTER I picked up Mindhunter on almost a whim. Fincher’s style didn’t disappoint, nor did the vast majority of the characters twined in the interrogation, interview, and in-depth analysis of the 1970’s most notorious serial killers. Anna Torv’s Wendy Carr is more than a pleasant surprise — she’s a vision of strength, a sturdy by-the-book intellectual standing tall in the face of a twenty-something sliding down a slippery slope to doucheville and the grouchy borderline Old West sheriff serving as his mentor. When she flies from Quantico to Boston halfway through the season, shoulders heavy with the choice between her old life and a new one, she goes home to consult with her partner. Her partner is an older woman, a fellow professor, a fellow intellectual. I’ve written about their one scene together before, but the long and short of it is this: Mindhunter recognizes Wendy as a character whose personal life does not dominate the process of hunting serial killers, and so her personal life does not dominate the structure of the show. There’s a few scant kisses, the stroke of knuckles, but for a pair of women well in their adult years, the focus isn’t on sex — it’s on stability. And their relationship, while stable, has a toxic edge, one that compels Wendy to leave it behind her and move on, to Quantico, to a new profession. Season Two of Mindhunter may not expand much further on Wendy’s lesbianism — in fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if it remains a sidelined facet of an already busy show — but for now, her strength to pull away from the only family we’ve seen her have in an effort to protect herself from being steamrolled is a mark of her character, one that will apply to everything she does. WINTER: ROSA DIAZ OF BROOKLYN NINE-NINE This is a month where censorship of both the internet and the CDC has been a hot topic. This is a month where we have been trying to wring the truth out of powerful people, to get clear concise language. This is a month where half the cast of Brooklyn 99 said various forms of the term “bisexual” multiple times. The con has been on for seasons to set up the arc of Rosa’s coming out — multiple episodes where Rosa’s disgust in sharing personal details about herself while dating Marcus, or Pimento, or about her family, even where she lives. Rosa is a private person. Rosa could have a stamp collection, and we’d never know. Why? Because it’s personal. And for Rosa, personal is private, until it isn’t. Usually, the revelation of details about her life is a total accident, and in this case, it’s no different. It’s bullpen quirkmeister and all-around lovable loudmouth Charles Boyle who’s the first one privy to the info, and his reaction? He understands that coming out is on Rosa’s terms, and does his absolute best to keep quiet (which, given what we’ve seen in past seasons, is incredible in itself). Rosa eventually announces it to the squad, even allowing stereotypical questions for a brief period before moving on to more important matters. The focus Brooklyn 99 puts on this plotline, for a comedy cop procedural, is stunning. The story spans two episodes, including one which serves as the fall finale of the show, a lingering final note for their audience to reflect on. The casting of Rosa’s parents, which could easily have been thrown away roles, go to Tony Award-nominated actress Olga Merediz and certified stone-cold badass Danny Trejo. The tension of “Game Night” builds through the mistaken assumption that Jake is Rosa’s boyfriend and comes to a head as Rosa, standing in front of a Pictionary-esque drawing board, has to explain to her parents that she’s bisexual, that it isn’t just a phase while she waits for a husband, that it’s something she’s known for a long time. Something true. It’s a heartbreaking moment when her father states, “There’s no such thing as being bisexual,” and Rosa responds clearly, in that matter-of-fact Rosa Diaz tone we know and love, “I know there is because that’s who I am.” The redemption moment comes a few short scenes later when Rosa’s father turns up at the precinct, promises her that he accepts her for who she is — but the scene turns bittersweet when he asks her to hold off on joining them for game night again. It’s clear that, while he’s willing to work to preserve their relationship, the family dynamic will never be the same — so the squad gets to work, and on Friday night turns up en masse to Rosa’s place for, as Jake puts it, “family game night”. Rosa’s character, ever the private, distant, steel-plated detective, has made leaps and bounds towards becoming more open. In season one, the squad didn’t even know where she lived, and now not only have her address, but are somewhat welcome there. Even then, they don’t push for information, taking what she offers them in stride and making sure she feels welcome. Captain Holt pulls her aside and gives her a heart to heart, thanking her for her bravery, for helping to make the world “a better and more interesting place.” I hope 2017’s media helped you find your community, or inspire you to create worlds and characters of your own. And offline? A new year is an opportunity to celebrate differences in our community as much as we triumph over unity, to work harder to make the world a better, more interesting place. Here’s to 2018. Let’s use it wisely. pic 1 arrow.wikia.com pic 2 I Love Dick FB pic 3 Bold Type FB pic 4 Netflix pic 5 Fox Youtube http://dlvr.it/Q6sTv8

Automotive connector design standards and application case sharing
This article starts with the four basic structures of the automotive connector, introduces the design standard of the automotive connector, analyzes the stability of the automotive connector, analyzes the three failure modes of the automotive connector, and interprets the car connection. The development of the device, and finally for the market demand brought by this development, the corresponding automotive connector application examples are given.
(Image from internet)
The form and structure of the automotive connector is ever-changing. It is mainly composed of four basic structural components: contact, housing (depending on the type), insulator, and accessories. These four basic structural components enable the automotive connector to act as a bridge for stable operation.
The contact piece is the core part of the automotive connector to complete the electrical connection function. The contact pair is generally composed of a male contact and a female contact, and the electrical connection is completed by the insertion of the female and male contacts. The male contact is a rigid part that is cylindrical (round pin), square (square pin) or flat (tab). Positive contacts are typically made of brass or phosphor bronze. The female contact, that is, the jack, is a key component of the contact pair. It relies on the elastic structure to elastically deform when it is inserted into the pin, and generates elastic force to form close contact with the male contact member to complete the connection. There are many types of jacks, such as cylindrical (grooving, shrinking), tuning fork type, cantilever beam type (longitudinal slotting), folding type (longitudinal slotting, 9-shaped), box shape (square socket) And a double-curved wire spring jack.
The housing is the housing of the automotive connector that provides mechanical protection for the built-in insulated mounting plate and pins and provides alignment when the plug and socket are mated, thereby securing the connector to the device.
Insulators, also commonly referred to as automotive connector bases or mounting plates, function to position the contacts in the desired position and spacing and to ensure insulation between the contacts and between the contacts and the outer casing. Good insulation resistance, voltage resistance and ease of processing are the basic requirements for the selection of insulating materials into insulators.
Accessories are divided into structural accessories and mounting accessories. Structural accessories such as collars, positioning keys, locating pins, guide pins, coupling rings, cable clamps, seals, gaskets, etc. Install accessories such as screws, nuts, screws, coils, etc. The accessories are mostly standard and general.
With the rapid development of the automobile industry, various functional parts and various components on the automobile are constantly developing in the direction of intelligence, refinement and reliability. The design, design and materials of the automotive connector are also proposed. Higher requirements, with certain design standards.
Automotive connector design standards
Automotive connectors must comply with USCAR-20 standards, which is the performance standard for automotive electrical connector systems, which stipulates that the electrical connector contact surfaces of the automotive connector are always reliable throughout the life cycle, including the following nine factors:
1) The material of the connector contacts is stable and reliable;
2) The positive force is stable;
3) The voltage and current of the circuit are stable;
4) The temperature requirement is within the specified range, including the surrounding temperature and its own temperature rise;
5) better robustness;
6) It must be the same as the connector for high-speed long-distance communication computer, and the car connector must be able to work reliably under harsh conditions;
7) Connector insertion force: Below 20.5kg;
8) Connector retention: Below 2.5kg;
9) Heat resistance: -40~120°C
A typical light vehicle has approximately 1,500 connection points, of which 50% to 60% are used for critical power distribution functions. Automotive connectors are used in increasingly harsh environments, including temperatures (down to minus 40 ° C, up to minus 155 ° C), vibration, oxidation, and frictional corrosion, demonstrating the importance of design challenges.
In fact, this thing is not easy to do. Most commercial electronic components are most troublesome when they fail. However, if there is a problem with the connection of key auto parts, it will cause the fire alarm, brake or airbag to malfunction. Lead to serious consequences.
Connector manufacturers must identify and analyze physical and mechanical phenomena in the environment that may affect connector performance. In order to evaluate the stability of the connector, the connector manufacturer implemented a detailed test procedure in accordance with the application conditions specified by the automobile manufacturer. In the event of a connector failure, it can be determined to be one of three failure modes: friction corrosion, electrical failure, and connector insertion problems. The following is an introduction to these three failure modes.
Three failure modes for automotive connectors
Corrosive gases, high humidity, and strong oscillations are the three conditions that cause oxidation and frictional corrosion and cause connector failure. These environmental factors can have a significant impact on tin and lead-tin contact surfaces, as is the case with 90% of connector surfaces.
The problem of cable and terminal connections is one of the main causes of warranty and connector system failure. For automotive wiring systems, crimping is a very common method for connecting terminals to cables. This process has proven to be reliable. Compared with the welding method, it is more economical and simple to operate in terms of improving the crimping reliability.
Improper plugging of the connector can cause connector failure when wiring is installed in the vehicle at the assembly plant. To overcome this problem, design engineers have developed a variety of connector locking devices. Another option is to use a patching aid to simplify the insertion process of larger connectors.
For detailed car connector failure mode, please refer to the three failure mode analysis of connector durability.
As consumers demand more and more electronic functions inside the car, and the electronic functions that can be provided inside the car are becoming more and more abundant, the car connector becomes the fastest growing segment of the automobile parts. Below is a summary of the development of automotive connectors.
Development of automotive connectors
At present, global automotive connectors account for about 15% of the connector industry, and it is expected to occupy a large proportion in the future driven by automotive electronics. In terms of product cost structure, China currently uses an average of only a few hundred yuan for each car. The cost of connectors for each car is about $125 to $150. The Chinese automotive connector market also has Great development potential. In the future, each car will use 600-1,000 electronic connectors, which is much larger than the number used today.
The huge potential of the market has attracted great attention from foreign manufacturers. Major automotive electronics companies such as Tyco, Delphi and FCI have stepped up their investment and layout in the Chinese connector market. Delphi even moved its center of automotive connector business to Shanghai. China will be expected to become an important production base for future global automotive connectors. In addition to the existing well-known international major factories, other manufacturers that have not yet set up factories in China will gradually establish a production base in China to supply local auto parts manufacturers due to the continuous improvement of local demand, localized procurement, and cost advantages. need.
In addition, electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles use large-capacity lithium batteries, and their operating voltage ranges from 14V to 400V to 600V for conventional vehicles. Therefore, comprehensive improvement of the automotive electrical and electronic architecture is required, and connectors are the first to bear the brunt. The new energy automotive connector market has become a big niche market.
The three major trends in the development of new energy automotive connectors are: first, green, second, security, and third, connectivity.
Since new energy vehicles are "green" cars, connectors are also required to be green. In terms of safety, due to the ability of new energy automotive connectors to withstand up to 250A and 600V, the high standard of protection against electric shock is obvious. At such high power, electromagnetic interference is another important issue. In addition, the plugging operation of the connector can cause arcing, which can seriously jeopardize electrical connections and electronic equipment, and may cause the car to burn, which requires special design and development of the connector.
New energy automotive connectors must meet strict design requirements to meet their high performance requirements. For example, in the case of exposure, high voltage must be prevented from penetrating, which requires a certain air gap to be retained. In the case of high voltage and high current, The temperature rise should not exceed the rated value; the weight, strength and ease of processing should be considered when selecting the outer casing material, and how to maintain the stability of the material properties of the connector terminals at different temperatures and how to ensure the necessary electrical conductivity are considered.
In terms of connectivity, the importance of high-speed data transmission is becoming more and more important due to the continuous expansion of automotive entertainment systems. For example, on some models, the camera is mounted on the reversing mirror to give the driver a wider view, which requires the connector to transmit more data. Sometimes a connector is needed to solve the problem of transmitting GPS signals and broadcast signals at the same time, which requires an increase in data transmission capability. At the same time, the connector also needs to withstand high temperatures, because the car engine is usually placed in front of the car, although there is a firewall to protect, but some heat will be transmitted, so the connector can withstand high temperatures.
With the increasing use of automotive connectors, the trend of the synthesis of automobiles has made the integration of connectors more and more high. Due to the design requirements of the space of the car, the connector is also required to have a smaller volume. Taking up a lot of space, a single connector has more and more signals to receive. In general, the automotive connection system will be developed in the direction of electronic control modules. On the basis of safety and connectivity, miniaturization, intelligence and integration are the future development trends of connectors. Below are some examples of automotive connectors that meet market needs.
Automotive connector application examples
At the Shanghai Electronics Show in Munich, Tyco Electronics brought the latest developments – the 050 series terminals and connector systems for automobiles. Tyco Electronics' new 050 series terminal connection system has achieved significant technical improvements in miniaturization and weight reduction, reducing the package volume by 70%, weight reduction by 50% and height reduction by 50% compared to the previous 064 series. It is believed that such a miniaturized connector has very important practical value for energy saving and emission reduction of automobiles.
For the safety and miniaturization of automotive connectors, FCI has developed innovative molded case solutions - APEX-280 and RCS-800 connectors. One of the innovations is the patented interlock: ensuring that the connector is powered off as soon as the connector is removed – and the unique “two-step” release process provides sufficient time for the interlock to operate, so that when energized There will be no disconnection. The user does have to perform two separate actions, with a five second delay between disconnecting the power and unplugging the connector. These novel safety devices also have many other features. The terminal is fixed behind the plastic protective hole to prevent the finger from touching.
FCI's ErgoMate gear axial connection system significantly reduces the matching force while helping to achieve a smaller size solution. Once the pair is in place, the connector's secondary lock will be closed, thus guaranteeing 100%
A solid connection. In addition, with a high level of shielding and sealing protection, a compact and compact design is achieved.
In addition, FCI's RCS-800 terminals are also suitable for automotive connector safety and high connectivity. Its new 8mm round terminal design makes more efficient use of space than flat terminals with the same current carrying capacity. These circular RCS terminals have many contact points and can operate at currents up to 250A or even higher depending on the user's requirements. In addition, special surface coatings prevent damage from arcing. On the other hand, plastic caps provide IP2-x protection against the risk of electric shock operators.
Konnra Electronics has Automotive connector design standards and application case sharing. We hope that everyone can gain something after reading it. If there are other problems or different introductions, please contact us by email.

COMIC TEA PARTY- THURSDAY BOOK CLUB START!
Good evening, everyone~! This week’s Thursday Book Club is officially beginning! Today we are discussing Apricot Cookie(s)! by Louis Lloyd-Judson~! (https://apricotcookies.net/)
Remember that Thursday discussions are completely freeform! However, every 30 minutes I will drop in OPTIONAL discussion questions in case you’d like a bit of a prompt. If you miss out on one of these prompts, you can find them pinned for the chat’s duration. Additionally, remember that while constructive criticism is allowed, our focus is fun and respectfully appreciating the comic. All that said, let’s begin!
QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?
Superjustinbros
Hello!
RebelVampire
hey super~!
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Hi everyone This is late into the comic, but I loved the reveal of Apricot's family -- how it was treated as normal and matter-of-fact in-universe, because for her it is, even though it's a real Wham Moment for the readers.
Superjustinbros
Glad to be here!
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
(And that's gotta be the reason why she can't transform properly, right?)(edited)
Superjustinbros
https://tapas.io/episode/1265858 This oen gave me a good chuckle
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Yeah, I love all the self-aware genre jokes.
RebelVampire
i agree with erin. my favorite scene is when we find out that apricot's secret is that shes the princess of darkness. because i did not expect the secret reveal right then, and just like the entire process as things evolved was personally comical for me. cause first her dad shows up in this weird attire, then grandma darkness, then the helmet thing, and then just more from there. like it was a bunch of puzzle pieces all falling into place. if i was a cartoon character thats when a lightbulb and exclamation point wouldve appeared over my head.
Superjustinbros
the genral humor of the comic is top notch
and how it plays with stereotypes
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Ooh, it was totally unexpected. And most people would consider this as a possible reason why she can't transform! But it's perfectly in-character for her that she never spoiled the reveal by even thinking about it.
She's such a ditz, I love her.
RebelVampire
yeah. the humor of the comic is definitely top notch. this, imo at least, is parody done right. because its walking that fine line between mocking the tropes but having them and loving them anyway.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Definitely.
RebelVampire
i also love the reveal cause suddenly this page made more sense https://tapas.io/episode/274726
and i love that sneaky foreshadowing i didnt mark in my mind as sneaky foreshadowing
Superjustinbros
Yes^(edited)
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Ooh, nice.
RebelVampire
but yeah, i definitely think everything played out in a natural way for apricot. cause of course she denies all the things. cause her family doesnt fit into her tragic back story
which btw i love when shes talking about that and her dad is just sitting there reading the newspaper
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
A+ introduction there.
mathtans
I like how it all clicked together too. Though I think my favourite moment was on this page: https://apricotcookies.net/5/31 ... Not only a BTTF reference at the sake of fashion but also a callback to an earlier joke that I hadn't expected.
Superjustinbros
Time traveling movie references in a reference to a past joke. Genius(edited)
mathtans
Yeah, it's interesting the stuff in the background, not just that bit with her dad, but her sister in the background of one shot, and I was like, hmmmm wait? Then it all gets explained.
Missed the "An" bit though.
RebelVampire
yes. i love that this joke made a comeback. like this is the sort of attention to detail i love and that i think really makes the comic's humor top notch.
mathtans
Speaking of which, I will say, not impressed by the fart humour. I feel like it's (comic's) too clever to need to reach for the bottom shelf there. It's the one thing I shake my head over.(edited)
But that's me.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Nah, it's me too.
Superjustinbros
Fart humor in 2018/19?
mathtans
Back to the amusing, the line about her being "16 but 18 outside of Japan". OMG.
RebelVampire
that was way too topical and i loved that line
cause its so true
Superjustinbros
Indeed
mathtans
I was thinking about it again when she was in England. Like... hm?
RebelVampire
especially now with more companies cracking down
and suddenly all these 18 year old high school girls
mathtans
Yis. eyeroll
Superjustinbros
eyerolls
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
That's a good example of a joke that's clever and genre-savvy, it just happens to refer to something that's bad news IRL. In contrast to the "it's gross, that automatically makes it funny" bits.
mathtans
Yeah, there's lots of clever genre stuff.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
A little more seriously...I really liked Starlit Pony's whole arc. It's irreverent and wacky but there's actually something sincere underneath.
mathtans
Sorry, which? Abysmal with names.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
The trans one!
mathtans
Ah! I suspected but wasn't sure. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about that one, like I almost wish it had gone deeper. I wasn't sure if the dad was being sarcastic with the "son" comments near the start or not. But I agree there was some good consideration there.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
She's a great counter-example for the kind of people who say "what, you don't want us to make fun of crossdressing-boy characters?? How will we be funny now? You obviously just hate jokes!"
Like, no, you can be funny and respect trans people. Here's proof.
Superjustinbros
^
RebelVampire
i really liked they involved the trainers aspect more in that arc. because i also love the boys all card duel just as much as i love the girls are all magical girls.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
And her dad refers to her as his daughter eventually -- it's a happy conclusion, that he comes around to accepting her gender.
mathtans
Yup, smashing stereotypes through use of stereotypes. Or something.
Erin: Yes, but I wasn't sure if she was actually a girl who liked cards, or a boy who liked magic. Like, the way it was presented felt ambiguous, even through the dad's comments, until later.
Of course, I'm also sleep deprived.
Gawd I hate January.
Superjustinbros
As someone that dislikes stereotypes anything that's used to bash/take shots at them is welcome by me
I know that feel
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Well, she's a girl who likes magic. But she has the card-based powers because apparently those are divided by biology, not gender identity.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 2. One of the main aspects of the comic is to parody manga and anime in a comedic manner. Of all the parodies so far, which one do you think is the most accurate? What about its execution in the comic do you think makes it work as a parody? Additionally, which of the parodies did you find the funniest? Outside of the writing, there are also plenty of visual gags. Visually speaking, which moment stood out to you as particularly comedic? Lastly, what do you personally feel the underlying commentary is saying about manga and anime? Has any parody in the comic made you think about manga or anime in a new light?
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
It's really funny that there's this whole card-game-based conflict going on in the same world, in the background to the magical-power-based conflict.
Like, that's how the industry as a whole feels sometimes -- though obviously it's not along such a rigid divide (much as marketing companies wish it was).
mathtans
The visit to the Convention was rather amusing. There's these times when the creator pokes fun at themselves, visually or otherwise. (eg "No one does these things in full colour").
Superjustinbros
lol
Yeah, doujinshi are rarely drawn in full color
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Yeah, that was good. I love that even the in-between pages have that kind of self-referential gag. "This is best read out loud, in a crowded place, such as on a train."
mathtans
I had feels for the artist when Apricot critiqued. Though Apricot also seems to appreciate things that are "hard to draw".
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
XD
mathtans
Yeah, the explanation pages are clever. I like how it's actually a different character and bird each time.
I still remember when they were looking at that post with all the wires too.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Usually "that looks hard to draw" is a cartoonist's lampshading of the fact that they're fudging their way out of drawing something. Here, nope, we get to see the whole thing.
Superjustinbros
This^
RebelVampire
i love thatd moment where they took a moment to look at the electrical telephone pole
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
("They", I say, as if I'm not included in this group, heh.)
RebelVampire
for the hard to draw thing
A+ joke
mathtans
I liked the dark lord muttering about having to watch teenage girls too. With the globe he got and everything. He probably would prefer Anzu to be doing it as part of her training.
Actually, his intros are hilarious.
I'm not sure what it parodies, but it works.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
He seems like a riff on the standard Video Game Final Boss to me.
RebelVampire
i think my favorite parody of them all is the one where apricot actually does wake up late and then takes the time to go get bread, and etc. etc. cause its just so drawn out in how long it takes. but its true, you cant go late to anime school without toast in your mouth.
Superjustinbros
lol yes
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
...realizing now that I don't actually have much personal experience with Video Game Final Bosses, I'm basing this impression mostly on how they get parodied in other webcomics. Like RPG World, or Adventurers.
mathtans
Heh. That was clever (the toast). I felt like it went on a bit long was the only thing. (Also, in the background, 11-11. Subtle.)(edited)
The language thing (are we speaking Japanese or English) felt like it went on a bit long too. I think it only stands out because usually the pacing feels very good.
I don't play the Video Games, I only watch Let'S Plays.
RebelVampire
i also loved the translation bit. it did go on for a bit, yet i think what sold me on it was the OK that was supposed to be english was actually changed to the correct universal font for trying to show things in english
mathtans
I did notice that. Another clever detail.
RebelVampire
he seems most assuredly a riff on video game final bosses, especially considering everyone mistook him for sephiroth at the convention
Superjustinbros
lol
mathtans
Do not challenge him. He will summon your parents.
Superjustinbros
that would be amazing
RebelVampire
one of my fave visual gags is probably this page https://tapas.io/episode/483838
mathtans
The navigation is also really clever (on the main site). My first time there, I just clicked right arrow. It brought me to the first page again, and I had to actually read what was going on.
RebelVampire
where shes telling jacques shes surely pretty under that helmet
but nope
Superjustinbros
those eyes tho o_o
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
And the "sorry if you were looking for recipes" in the header cracks me up.
mathtans
Jacques is creepy. Another nice detail with the missing a leg in human form, but like, wtf with birds.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I'm so glad she put the helmet back on
RebelVampire
yes i really loved that detail in the header
mathtans
Header's good too, yup.
RebelVampire
but makes me wonder how many ppl have gotten to this site wanting apricot cookie recipes XD
mathtans
I like how "Anzu" means "Apricot". Though it just adds more language confusion.
RebelVampire
oh lol, i didnt know that. never crossed my mind to translate her name XD
mathtans
I suspected, so I went to a translation program.
Superjustinbros
god bless translations
RebelVampire
smart. thats a great detail then
https://apricotcookies.net/5/21
i enjoy the last panel
about the adaptions
especially cause the hollywood one would be terrible
too accurate
but i also appreciate the art style switch in the next page
cause that takes some skill
Superjustinbros
yes
RebelVampire
and i love the filters kind of effect on it that references the kind of shit quality 90s anime had
mathtans
I'm bad for noticing art stuff at times.
Interesting how she started blonde though.
RebelVampire
i assume the blond is their natural color, and their hair only becomes black when infused with dark power
so ya know
typical anime stuff
QUESTION 3. The comic features a slew of colorful characters with even more colorful personalities. Which character at the moment is your favorite and why? Further, of the comedic moments related to them, which one do you think was the best? What sort of scenarios are you hoping to see this character in in the future? Finally, what do you think their relationship with our protagonist Apricot adds to the story? Speaking of relationship dynamics with Apricot, how do you feel like those dynamics in general might change between all the characters as the story continues? Overall, what typical manga scenarios are you hoping to see addressed in the comic, and which character are you hoping to see participate in them?
mathtans
It amusing that Apricot wants her parents to be dead in her backstory, but her real story is kind of messed up too.
Superjustinbros
Design wise, Meal Deal and Moonlight Spritzer.
mathtans
Cream ftw. For definite.
Can't beat teleporting and quipping like Spiderman.
I'm bad for noticing designs too.
Superjustinbros
Especially with a name like Cream
RebelVampire
im really sad there wont be more moonlight spritzer cause shes now an office lady
Superjustinbros
r.i.p.
mathtans
... ... I had always pictured it as "cream and sugar" until you said that ...
I was amused by "that doesn't count". I'm not a motorcycle fan though. ^.^
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I was thinking whipped cream. To go with the other desserts.
mathtans
I guess I was automatically onto the tea or coffee mindset.
Wait, butter's a dessert?
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Butter cookies are?
They're not all desserts, just several of them.
mathtans
Did not even pick up on that. Point.
Superjustinbros
mmm, butter
mathtans
Speaking of, Apricot's interest in Butter, like trying not to look at her transforming or how she reacted to the idea it was just the two of them at a sleepover... that amused me. Because of the yuri implications. ^.^
Though I guess Apricot's turned out to be... pansexual?
RebelVampire
they at least all have a food theme i think.
mathtans
Not sure if that's the right term.
RebelVampire
i assume apricot is just into whatever although i doubt were gonna get any actual ships going on alas.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Bisexual or pansexual would both work. Unless she uses a specific word in-universe...and AFAIK there aren't separate words in Japanese.
She just says she's into "men and women...and trains."
mathtans
Bisexual implies male or female to me though, versus the trains thing. ^^
RebelVampire
apricot x trains otp
mathtans
apricot x ships?
Superjustinbros
apricots on ships sounds liek the name to a song
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Eh, there are straight and gay people who talk about weird xeno attractions too.
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
Geh. 9A9 I'm late! jumps in anyway
I like the Apricot x Butter ship. XDDD
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
So many anime with trains/planes/boats/etc personified as sexy moe girls...
Superjustinbros
^
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
Much agreed with Erin. ; v ;
RebelVampire
i wonder if jacques plays hatoful boyfriend
mathtans
Erin: ... Point. I hadn't even gone there yet. O.o
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
It would be some epic planning if the endgame ships turned out to be foreshadowed by "they're named after foods that go together well."
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
I've had Apricot Butter before... 8L
mathtans
Well, the girls seem to go for harem-style guys (aside from Butter).
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
I do have to say, I didn't expect Butter to be called Butter because she's got a blue scheme going.
Superjustinbros
In before there's a yellow-themed girl called blueberry
mathtans
I wonder why Butter sleeps underwater.
RebelVampire
yeah butter's mostly blueness really stood out to me. but maybe reflective that you dont want too much butter
Superjustinbros
Yeah, lol
RebelVampire
cause you put too much butter on something and it tastes icky
mathtans
I can't believe it's not Butter.
Superjustinbros
Too much butter on something is kinda gross tbh
I can't believe I missed that reference/joke Math just said
RebelVampire
the character i really want to see more of is jammy smasher the head bully. cause she and apricot need to have that arc where they become the true best friends who still constantly bicker but are on the same team and all those shenanigans. cause im really interested to see what punches the comic throws at all those tropes
mathtans
Just gotta put Butter on Apricot.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I'd be into this Jammy Smasher arc.
mathtans
I could see that, Rebel, though it might get subverted.
ShaRose49
I only read some of the beginning so far but I wanted to say all it’s breaking of the fourth wall was great. I liked the lord of darkness guy the best or whatever his name was
mathtans
I'm still on about Cream. She knows more about Apricot's family now, could be relevant later.
Superjustinbros
always love me some good fourth wall destruction
ShaRose49
@Superjustinbros sometimes it needs to be broken
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
I actually got a bit confused when I started out reading because I thought Lord of Darkness would be the main character. XDDD
RebelVampire
he can be the main character in your heart
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
True, true. ;v;
RebelVampire
and im sure hed be the type to tell you everyone is the main character of their own life story
mathtans
Dude can't even figure out slide shows, let alone the internet. (Though I guess now we see where some of Apricot's incompetence comes from.)
RebelVampire
and his mom did say his love story with his wife would be like a 10 year manga so he can be the protag of that
and 100% its gonna get subverted cause this is a parody comic. no way theyll play it straight. i half expect apricot to turn to jammy in the climatic bond moment where they admit they arent so bad and apricot just goes "just kidding youre a bitch"
Superjustinbros
well stories aren't limited to just one main
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
That too~~. XD
Superjustinbros
Sometimes you get a side character or two that has such a large impact on the story that they become a major fofure
RebelVampire
i really did like the opening introduction though where the lord of darkness treats it like a business meeting and such.
although
who exactly are we in this context. like what if this isnt just a fourth wall break, but were just first person cameraing a character
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
I actually felt like I was being thrown back into the days when I was in Uni. XDDDD
Like, Lord of Darkness felt like a professor and his powerpoint struggles... ; v ;(edited)
RebelVampire
i enjoyed that he called tech support XD just wasting more of the time. and i enjoy that panel where hes crying about the wasted hours he spent on a powerpoint that doesnt even work
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
RIP oh great Lord of Darkness. XDDD
RebelVampire
QUESTION 4. Apricot’s one true dream in the story is to become a magical girl. Do you think that Apricot will achieve her dream eventually and learn to transform? If so, what measures do you think she might have to take to ultimately achieve this dream? How might this affect Apricot’s relationship with her family? Alternatively, will she eventually come to accept her role as the Princess of Darkness? Regardless of which event occurs, how do you think Apricot’s friends/school mates would react to finding out who her parents are? Do you think they’ll find out or will it stay a secret forever? Finally, what shenanigans do you think Apricot will get up to in general throughout the story?
💩 💩 💩 YY 💩 💩 💩
I havent' read that far, but I think Apricot will become a magical girl at some point.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I think she's gonna get a Devil Homura type of magical-girl form. And it'll be epic.
Superjustinbros
Yes
mathtans
(Back - little one's entered a fussier time of the evening.)
RebelVampire
that would be awesome if her form just winds up being pretty evil looking. as long as all the others comment loudly about it. like "Wow who would expect the ditz girl to have a form like this." "Isn't this form a little evil looking?" and apricot just has to flail assuring them nah its fine, perfectly normal
mathtans
The others are all aware of a great power when Apricot tries to transform. Thing is, didn't someone say at some point that Princesses couldn't transform? I think she'd need to renounce her throne for it to work. Which she might do, but then regret.
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I thought it was "only the Princess can transform without relying on her bird companion."
mathtans
I'm torn between thinking her form would show off too much, or like practically cover her entirely like a snowsuit. (There's few in betweens with her.)
Erin: Oh, that might have been it, good call.
Maybe that's the important thing the bird had wanted to tell her, the power's in you, I'm only holding you back.
RebelVampire
it was specifically the princess of light though. who can transform without a bird companion. and her sister is the princess of light and i assume its a there can only be one thing.
Superjustinbros
Hmm
Is that so?
RebelVampire
although idk what would happen if the parents decided to have a third child
very convenient they stopped after two
mathtans
Princess of darkness might have similar restrictions.
What if it was a boy? Would darkness have a deck of cards?
Superjustinbros
What about the princess of in-between?
RebelVampire
yes i support this if the third child is a boy. a boy who is destined for a magical cube that contains the soul of an egyptian pharoah. and that even as a baby he becomes the best dueller in japan.
and you cant have a princess of in-between. theres only light and darkness. this isnt real life where all the things are actually gray and cant be fit into two boxes O_O
Superjustinbros
Are you sure about that
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
I get the impression there could be multiple light/dark Princesses within the family -- it's just that this kind of power can't manifest outside the family.
Superjustinbros
Aah ok
RebelVampire
definitely can agree it cant manifest outside the family.
i def cant wait to see the fallout when others find out apricot's secret. not that i expect huge amounts of drama
but no way they wont react
i could actually see them encouraging apricot to accept her role
cause once her dad retires what are they supposed to fight if theres no ruler of the darkness
director of darkness
cause suddenly remembered the appropriate title
Superjustinbros
Director of Darkness sounds badass
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Maybe at some point they'll meet a girl who hates being a frilly magical girl and longs for a dark evil powerset. (With parallels/foreshadowing in how Starlit was born with the deck-of-cards powerset but wanted the frilly powerset.) And then she and Apricot can engineer a swap somehow.
Superjustinbros
Lol
Well not every girl wants to be some sweet and dainty rightly colored girl that's for sure
RebelVampire
this does seem like a potential arc, but more like the kind thatll blow up in their faces and not work out. XD
mathtans
(Back again.)
RebelVampire
i really hope chapter 7 is about cream though. cause as i think math mentioned earlier, i want to see cream deal with being the only one who knows at the very least that almond and apricot are sisters
mathtans
Maybe the family decides to adopt.
I just want more Cream! ^.^
Superjustinbros
*ads more cream to Math's dessert
mathtans
I wonder, if students transfer to Japan, do they get wrapped up in this stuff? Because there aren't magical girls in the UK, as Cream indicated.
RebelVampire
i think cream is evidence that yes
Superjustinbros
What about in the US?
RebelVampire
yes they do
it is destiny
the comic hasnt said anything about the US
mathtans
So what if they move away? Powers are sealed?
(Reminds me, they're able to toe the line rather neatly, what with tentacles and rope tricks, without crossing over.)
RebelVampire
thats basically what is implied. that they dont get to use their powers anymore. since cream was barely there a few mins before the visa kicked in
i was looking at earlier pages
https://apricotcookies.net/1/8
i wanna know who the figure is that got her own panel
cause that is the chara who shouldve been butter if we go by color scheme XD
mathtans
Oh yeah, the figurine. I'd forgotten about that.
Also, sleeping in hair ties for branding. Hah.
Superjustinbros
If only we had known
mathtans
(Was it Cream who said "in the name of the spoon?"... I forget but it sounds like something she'd say.)
Maybe the figurine is Mom when she was younger.
Superjustinbros
Anyways since the tea party's ending I'd like to wish Louis luck on continuing the comic, this is a great read so far and I'l looking forward to what happens next
mathtans
One last wondering, is Apricot's last name "Cookie"? Or is that a web cookie pun? Because her real last name is "Hikari", right?
Superjustinbros
Lol, that'd be one hell of a last name
RebelVampire
i assume its apricot's pre-chosen magical girl name
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
Same.
RebelVampire
considering her first name is anzu
not apricot
Superjustinbros
Fair enough
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
But anzu means apricot, yes? So that's just a translation thing.
RebelVampire
yeah but still her actual first name. i dont think its necessarily just a translation joke
mathtans
I suppose. I wondered about translations.
Superjustinbros
Anyways cya (edited)
mathtans
Anyway, final remark is the recipe if people hadn't spotted it yet. With 3D printing. Well done. https://apricotcookies.net/specials/2
All very clever.
