Pipeline and piping stress analysis is one of main business in Meena Development LTD. It aims to evaluate the stress in pipes, flanges, valves and loads applied on the equipment nozzles such as pumps, tanks, compressors and pressure vessels, etc.)

with his friends he was seon, english, the kid with the weird red cabbage dish for lunch. he was deceptively quiet, seemingly sweet but not afraid to bite back. he was an understated comedian, capable of giving out formal pleasantries and quick witted insults without so much as dropping the same sweet smile.
at school he was seon ryu, french, a good if under achieving kid. his parents always wanted better opportunities for their kids and in canada that meant being bilingual, which for a a kid that already spoke two languages felt a little redundant. which was probably why he didn’t apply himself as much as he could have, his teachers claiming he was a smart kid who just needed to put more effort in.
life was simple for the family, a moderately successful business kept them comfortable but never profitable and seon was just starting to flourish. but of course that could never have lasted forever and unfortunately for the family it would be halted suddenly by a tragedy.
it was a particularly harsh winter, the snow heavy on the roads and thick as it blew through the air. myungsook had taken seon out to a movie, the two of them enjoying a weekend with their parents away. the other driver wasn’t paying attention, the roads were too slick, the snow was too obscuring; any number of things could have been the reason but in the moment the truck hit their small little family vehicle none of it mattered, what mattered was the protective barrier myungsook became, instinctively pulling seon into her and bending over him. what mattered was the feeling of her body, heavy and slowly cooling over him, oppressive. what mattered was the blinding lights of the rescue workers tearing their car apart to get to them. what mattered was the way myungsook’s eyes stared straight up into the sky as they lay her on the stretcher. what mattered was the doa announcement he heard the paramedics making, what mattered was the hours he sat numb in the hospital his wounds tended, a sling cradling his arm to his chest. what mattered was the eventual appearance of his parents, his father stone faced and his mother openly weeping as they embraced him. what mattered was the empty space in everything he did from then on.
seon was 12, and nothing would feel quite right again.
at 13 his parents took him on a trip back home, a last ditch effort to try and shake their son out of his depression. that first trip to seoul was the first time in nearly a year when seon felt was was home, millions of miles from the only home he’d ever known. here the people looked like him, they spoke like him. instead of sticking out in a crowed and wanting to blend in he was just the same as everyone else. the return trip to canada was a painful.
things would only keep going from bad to worse, his family’s business started going under and the pressure started to break down his parents relationship. seon’s mother would be awarded full custody with his father granted visitation rights. seon’s father would see him for a full day once a week, then twice a week, then once a month and finally only down to a few times a year. finally his mother’s family offered to help them get back on their feet only if they agreed to return to south korea and after getting seon’s father to sign away his visitation rights the two of them moved back into seon’s mother’s family house.
at 16 seon was once again back to the only place he’d felt comfortable after myunsook passed. his mother started the long process of getting her son citizenship while seon started integrating himself into his new world. here the masks came in handy again, he had learned to be what others expected of him and became an obsessive people-pleaser; bending and shaping who he was based on who he was with.
things in south korea would remain relatively peaceful for seon, his mother would eventually reach enough economic independence to move out of her parent’s home, though remaining close by and she’d even eventually meet a man around her own age and remarry, giving seon another sibling; this time a younger sister jihae whom he doted on. he 19 at the time, a legal adult and though he approved of his mother’s new husband and loved his new sister he chose not to abandoned his father’s family name, the only thing he really had left of him and more importantly… the name myungsook had been buried with.
seon had decided to go into international relations, feeling his multilingualism to be an asset. he found he generally enjoyed his schooling and while he was never top of his class he did graduate with honors at the age of 22. at one of his internships during his post secondary schooling he met one particular recruiter and his interest piqued applied to the nis training program right out of school. there his focus was finally honed, directed towards undercover work.
at 24 he was a fully trained operative, and eager to be in the field proper. maybe a bit too eager. his first under cover name was sin dongwook, a name that belongs to a dead man now… officially. seon had had his first taste of failure and more careful for it he spent the next years of his service being more careful, more calculated.

seon is a singularly driven individual, while he can often appear to be flippant or laid back or even uninterested it’s all an act, when he has a goal he cannot be deterred. the real seon can be hard to pin-point, he is exceptionally good at reading a room and inserting himself seamlessly into an environment. he is a social chameleon, just as adept as blending into the background as he is being the center of attention. perhaps the real seon can be found in his professionalism, he is meticulous in his planning and in making sure everything is up to snuff. or maybe he is found in the softness he holds for his family and close friends. maybe the real seon is the man who will stop whatever he’s doing to try and make someone who’s upset crack a smile, who can’t stand the sight of very real suffering. maybe the real seon is the one that grieves, everyday, for all those he’s lost and all those lost at his hands.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Find: 1969 Ford Mustang 428 Drag Pack Convertible Is 1 of 8
When Kirt Fryer got a chance to buy a 1971 Mustang convertible, he didn’t let international travel hold him back. He packed up and hit the road for Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The fish on the end of this line was a big one: a 1971 Drag Pack Mustang convertible, which fits Fryer’s mantra that goes like this: “It’s a big-block, it’s a Mustang, it’s a convertible, then it’s pretty rare.”
Of course, rarity is relative. Every 1971 Cobra Jet convertible is rare, but what is super-rare is a convertible with the Super Cobra Jet, which these days collectors refer to as Drag Pack convertibles.
The 428 Super Cobra Jet was dusty, but complete and numbers-matching. The SCJ is also a ram air 428, so it has the optional shaker scoop.
The same step up from Cobra Jet to Super Cobra Jet is a huge one with the 1969-1970 428 big-block convertibles. It’s just that Fryer is well known as a 1971-model enthusiast, so he was extremely disappointed when he could not make a deal on the 1971 convertible, which was a real-deal Drag Pack Mustang. Then the seller surprised him.
“We’re talking and he says, ‘Well, I got another Mustang convertible you might be interested in, and I’ll make you a little better deal on that.’”
Fryer’s ears perked up. Maybe he didn’t have to go back home without buying a big-block Mustang convertible. This convertible was also a big-block, but a 1969 model. Plus, rather than being an extremely rare 428 Cobra Jet and maybe one of, say, 50 built, this convertible was also a Drag Pack, meaning a Super Cobra Jet, and in a 1969 model with an automatic transmission and a V-code (3.91 Traction-Lok) rear axle.
Our opening photo shows the Mustang after it was lowered, with considerable effort, from the third rack to ground level in an airport hangar in Canada. Here the car is in Kirt Fryer’s shop. Coincidentally, he also stores his cars vertically, but on lifts.
“They built eight of those,” Fryer told us. He knew this was the kind of car that comes up maybe “once in a lifetime.”
The car was stored in an airplane hangar, on a wall, on pallet racks. “This Mustang was three cars high. You had to use chain boomers to get it up off the rack, then take the slats out, so you could lower the car down, then you had to put the slats back in.” Fryer remembers that getting the Mustang down was quite precarious and downright “scary.”
He was very pleased to find a triple-black car, and one with an interesting heritage with an ownership history through the famous collector and TV host Peter Klutt of Dream Car Garage. The Canadian had owned the convertible for more than 20 years. The engine was numbers-matching according to an evaluation Fryer had Ed Meyer perform.
The sheetmetal was in good condition with no rust.
“He figured out the car had its original motor, but not its original transmission or rearend.”
No doubt, Drag Pack Mustangs saw racing use. This battery in this car was in the trunk for weight transfer on the strip.
Fryer was pleased the sheetmetal was original. Maybe best of all was the original paint.
This is an R-code, as denoted in the fifth place on the VIN, stamped into this aluminum plate on top of the dash, driver’s side.
Back home, he got the car running and driving. The car needed a good cleaning. Jason Billups, not far from Tulsa, replaced what Fryer called “stuff from auto parts stores” under the hood and other areas of the car with Ford Autolite parts.
The 1969 Mustang is a departure for a 1971 enthusiast, but Kirt Fryer is not complaining. He knows the car’s rarity and super high performance make this Mustang very special and very valuable, as well.
The vinyl interior is black, as are the paint and the convertible top, making this Mustang “triple black.” Just right for a “bad car,” says Fryer.
The date code is 15G for July 15, 1969, a very late production car. Fryer believes this is probably the last Drag Pack convertible built for 1969.

“Fleet washing will always be a needed service I believe,” says Paul Horsley, PWNA President. “Fleet owners cannot afford truck wash prices. Washing their own units always looks good on paper but it seldom works. It might take them a year or so to come to the conclusion that it’s not working. They have a very hard time finding and keeping people to do the work. The equipment seldom works properly and the people using it are not trained correctly. They never expected the high costs of repairs and of chemicals. These workers are usually underpaid and they do not care about the equipment. They usually have a high turnover during the year, especially during winter months. This is why a mobile fleet service usually does well.”
Recently Cleaner Times asked PWNA for insight into the area of mobile fleet washing and the challenges that the industry faces in the coming year. Several PWNA members who count truck washing as part of their business plan were consulted and responded to our request for information. The information begins at the top as PWNA President Paul Horsley, owner of Scott’s Pressure Wash in Calgary, AB, specializes in mobile washing among other things. Michael Hinderliter, another key figure in PWNA, owns Steamaway in Ft. Worth, TX, and also handles a lot of fleet washing. Scott Stone is the owner of A Mind for Detail in Mesa, AZ, and adds fleet washing to his list of services offered. Tom Bickett owns Combines Cleaning in Princeton, IL. And Don Flory is the owner of Envirowash in Baldwin, KS. CT thanks these industry professionals for taking the time to help with the article. The interviews are offered below in question and answer format. How has the increasing in fuel prices affected your business?
Horsley: Fuel prices are definitely affecting our operation; costs have gone up over one hundred percent over the last few years. We have only raised our per unit price ten percent. So, it cuts into the bottom line. We have had increases from our other suppliers also. Most are adding a fuel surcharge of five to ten percent. We have also added a fuel surcharge of five percent to every invoice.
Hinderliter: We have not raised prices in more than five years and in some cases it has been over ten years. Sometimes people think I am crazy when I tell them this but we have been able to do it by growing the business. More location to clean on a route means less travel time and being able to purchase in bigger quantities means lower supply cost. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to take advantage of these saving. Now we are being to micromanage soap, fuel and other supplies.
Bickett: All our vendors and suppliers are tacking on fuel charges and no more free freight. Also anything that is made with petroleum or has petroleum in it, has definitely went up in cost. Stone: Our fuel costs have gone up about thirty percent in the past year.
Flory: The increase cost of fuel is very frustrating. It has greatly affected our bottom line. We have toyed with various ways to keep up. We have been passing on rate increases each year and always wonder if they are enough. How has it affected the pricing of other supplies?
Hinderliter: All our soaps have increased in cost as well as many other supplies by twenty to forty percent.
Stone: I have not really noticed a huge increase in supply cost. I am certain I will see it in the near future.
What are you doing to adapt?
Hinderliter: We are trying to run tighter routes with less travel time. And looking for other ways to cut fuel cost such as lighter equipment and high fuel economy.
Stone: One of the things we did was to by a smaller truck for a routine job that did not require a pressure washer. I am contemplating another truck, but am unsure of the associated cost savings. Additionally, I am reducing the mileage that I am driving, trying to use the telephone and other methods to solve as many problems as I can.
Bickett: Tighten up schedules for crews, We limit the use our employees use company vehicles for personal use, running errands or picking up parts. Using a scooter that gets 90 mpg to go do bids and Estimates, instead of SUV. And of course increasing our prices and even charging a fuel charge on every invoice that goes out the door. We have increased some of our prices by 40 % and still are as busy. That being said though we have lost many accounts we’ve had for many years due to customer having to cut their cost and do it themselves for now. I believe the US dollar will continue to get weaker and weaker because of how everything hinges on fuel cost, as fuel goes up, everything else must go up to meet the same profit % or it will go ??? you guessed it DOWN. It is one Big catch 22.
Flory: We are taking hard looks at new contracts and one-time commercial accounts. We are seeing clients offering four-year contracts, bidder beware. How is labor affecting your industry?
Horsley: Finding labor is usually tough considering you need them to work weekends( our busiest time, road power is parked). This is when your going to do the most volume. I have always paid a couple of dollars more than most casual labor(warehouse workers). We have been very successful with offering benefits plus we also have a retention bonus – $1000 per employee per anniversary year. They look forward to the bonus every year. We ask them what are they going to spend their money on!
Bickett: The Labor in the Midwest has become quite difficult with the increases in min. wage. We were always known for starting our janitorial staff out with $ 1.00 or so more than min wage but now with the increases, everywhere is having to pay what we were always at. So it becomes challenging. Flory: We are blessed to have the same work force for a number of years and have not had to get too creative on the hiring front. Are you doing anything to help attract new hires?
Hinderliter: We have been pretty fortunate, most all our new hires are referrals now. We have a pretty good group. Are you doing anything to help attract new hires?
Stone: Craigslist; the last time I had a listing on Craigslist, I had over thirty applicants. They were all English-speaking, had a drivers license and many of them had experience.
Bickett: We are evaluating again, How we can fit in paying for medical insurance again since I believe that is becoming once again a great need for employees, also we are implementing a large marketing program which I believe has a double benefit to it, obviously exposure to getting customers, but also the more attracting we become to potential employees…..
Do you use any special pay structure?
Hinderliter: We pay a based on commission. Then calculate total hours worked to determine any overtime. The intent is to give our labors the incentive to be productive.
Stone: I pay straight hourly. There are too many jobs, with too many variables to pay any other way. There are times, on especially profitable projects, I will offer a bonus for early completion. I also make sure I take the really “sucky” jobs, and let them know it. It seems to breed loyalty, and I actually enjoy getting out and working from time to time.
Bickett: Just a honest wage for a honest day of work. We allowing our techs to up sell on the job and sharing a % of net profit with them and they are receiving more Tips $$ from so many customers. They love it and the company loves it Flory: Employees are paid only for the time they work and usually receive overtime. What about benefit packages?
Hinderliter: We offer a minimal benefits package but because most laborers are so young they are seldom interested in them. I do believe this will change in the near future as I believe the labor market will begin to tighten.
Stone: I have not yet had a need to provide benefits. All of my guys so far have had a spouse that had better benefits than I could ever provide.
Bickett: Right now, Just a lot of perks RE: employee of the month= free gas of car washes, Bonuses, Holidays paid (6) ect. Ect Flory: We offer paid insurance, simple IRAs, and limited ownership to full-timers. What are environmental concerns like in your area? Is there any enforcement?
Hinderliter: Enforcement is spotty and inconsistent. There are over thirty-five municipalities in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area and they all have their own agendas. Fortunately, most all of them follow the same enforcement guidelines – no wash water can leave the property.
Stone: I have not seen any enforcement to speak of. There are two local cities that claim enforcement, but I have only seen it once, about ten years ago.
Bickett: Enforcement? Very little, if any
Does your competition comply?
Hinderliter: Some of our competition complies, but I still find that many, most new to the industry, still do not comply. And they are able to do so because we are washing fleets in the evenings and on weekends when enforcement officials are not on duty. I don’t expect this to last, as I am finding more and more education programs and public outreach by municipalities to encourage the compliance and a watchful eye.
Stone: Fleetwash has all the equipment, of course, and it is all REALLY clean. Other than that, I am the only person I have seen that has any kind of reclaim equipment, and we rarely use it, because we have learned how to contain the water on the property of every location we wash.
Bickett: No Horsley: If you’re considering fleet washing you will need to familiarize yourself with local government regulations. Unfortunately, some of your competition might not be aware (or choose not to) comply with regulations. What people don’t understand is it doesn’t take much to comply. You should find a organization to learn from or a distributor/vendor selling environmental products so you can comply. Each one of our units has a custom made 300 gallon vacuum system on board. You’ll need one.
What do you expect in the near future?
Hinderliter: I expect that as the labor market tightens the demand for truck washing will increase. I also expect that the availability of education and information in the market place will cause a many more new comers to the industry especially if the economy continues into a recession. There is a lot of work out there and a place for many, good honest service providers will always flourish.
Stone: I think with the turn in the economy, that there will be some more new guys. I long ago established a relationship with a lot of accounts that require a set amount of experience, and also full recovery equipment. (of course, it helps that I helped write the contract.) I also think that prices on truck washing are going to have to increase. There are still companies here that are trying to compete with Fleetwash on price. The old pricing of ten years ago. The way I see it, prices are going to have to make a siginificant increase, just so contractors can remain in business.
Horsley: I believe we will have to pay attention to environmental issues as we move into the future, changing weather conditions such as drought/storms ect will effect us. We might have to change the services we offer and locations we works in. I think the biggest threat is being unorganized as a industry. We need to have one voice!
Stone: I am constantly exploring new services and markets to see if I can expand our sphere of influence, and to satisfy my ADD personality, that requires something different all the time. Plus, I firmly believe that I need to hit my competition where they are not. Once I get established in an area, it is a lot harder for them to come in and take the account, even on price.
Flory: It seems we are at a time in which management is becoming even more critical and a time which may separate the, “Men from the Boys!”

What We Learned: Getting a better look at the best goalies in the NHL

There are just a few goalies who, over the course of the season, have really earned a lot of accolades for their work to this point.
Everyone seems totally willing to give Devan Dubnyk the Vezina right this second, and for good reason. He leads the league in save percentages by seven points, and the two guys closest behind him have significantly fewer minutes played because they’re either a backup (Scott Darling) or missed a lot of time (Craig Anderson).
The other guy who got that kind of attention this season, right up until he fell apart in the past month or so, was Sergei Bobrovsky, who was perhaps the most crucial driver of Columbus’s incredible early-season success. Even despite having been terrible for awhile, he still has a .926 save percentage, tied for fourth in the NHL.

But the guy Bobrovsky is tied with is very, very interesting insofar as his name hasn’t really come up too much in the Vezina discussion. He’s the guy who won it last year. It bears repeating that Braden Holtby didn’t really deserve to win the Vezina last season because he wasn’t the best goalie in the league, he just happened to be a very good goalie on the best team (recall he had 48 wins in 66 games). Not to say that he wasn’t great, because he was, but he didn’t bring the level of performance Ben Bishop, Corey Crawford, or Cory Schneider did. Doesn’t matter now, though.
Holtby is following up a Vezina win with an even better performance. Few acknowledge this.
If I’m putting together a Vezina ballot right now (with 30 or so games to go for every team) that’s probably my top three. And I’d be tempted give the award to Holtby, to be honest. With that having been said, though, simply looking at save percentage alone probably isn’t the best way to evaluate talent these days. We have many more tools available to us.
The en-vogue move in recent years has been to compare overall save percentage with 5-on-5 save percentage, which effectively shows the goalie’s performance when it’s most independent from team performance. It was (and still is) instructive when determining just how well a goalie performed in a fairly controlled environment, and highlighted their individual talent level.
But today, thanks to shot location data you can get from NHL game sheets, we can also factor in shot quality in every situation, and use that to determine how many goals a netminder has prevented in comparison with what an average goalie would have stopped facing the same workload in terms of both volume and difficulty. That is synthesized into one stat: Corsica’s “goals saved above average.”
And when you look at GSAA, a slightly different picture of who has been the best goaltender in the league starts to emerge. Of the 37 goaltenders to play at least 1,000 minutes at 5-on-5 this season (goalies we can safely say are starters, in 1a/1b tandems, or working through injury situations), one goalie has a not-insignificant lead on the competition, and it’s not one of the three Vezina candidates discussed above.
It’s actually Cam Talbot.

A few things are pretty surprising right off the bat here.
For one thing, Cam Talbot leads the league in GSAA, which I guess shouldn’t be that much of a surprise given that he’s .920 (no one talks about this, either) on a team with a, shall we say, patchwork defensive group. The only situations in which he’s given up more goals than an average goalie are 4-on-4 and 3-on-5, which are both pretty rare game states in the first place. And regardless, the impact there has been minor.
Otherwise, you have to say that Talbot has been a credit to the Oilers in just about every way conceivable, which is no small feat. He’s faced more shots than any goaltender in the league, which makes sense because Edmonton is trying to ride him into the ground; he’s started 50 of the Oilers’ 56 games. With this in mind, wedging Talbot into your Vezina top-three right now is a perfectly legitimate stance. And what’s surprising is that it’s consensus-pick Dubnyk who ends up on the outside looking in if you want to go by the overall quality of the job done so far. (Which is to say that I don’t expect it to last, given how heavily he’s being used.)
Holtby of course saves the most goals at 5-on-5, which should come as no surprise, and has really only been victimized at 4-on-4 and 3-on-4, which you can’t really blame him for. Crawford and Price are likewise way up there in GSAA at 5-on-5, but shorthanded situations and 3-on-3 hockey have hurt their overall numbers considerably.
Another number I think is fascinating, though, is that for as much stick as Kari Lehtonen (.903) rightly gets these days, it’s not because he’s bad at 5-on-5. If we once again acknowledge that this is the part of the game over which a goalie has the most individual control, it’s worth noting his 5-on-5 GSAA is sixth-highest in the league (plus-14). It’s everything other game state where he’s getting smoked, particularly on the PK, and while you can say some of that’s on him, maybe his defensemen owe him a couple steak dinners too. That’s not to say goaltending isn’t a problem in Dallas, because it clearly is and has been, but there might be equally big fish to fry right now too.

Point being, if you want to look at the ways in which goalies are helping their teams, you can always dig deeper to get a better idea of how difficult their workload is and how valuable they’ve been. And by that measure, because of his workload, right now it looks like Cam Talbot has been the best goalie in the league.
What We Learned
Anaheim Ducks: Bear with me here, but what if Randy Carlyle just isn’t a good coach?
Arizona Coyotes: Who would have guessed that the ice in Arizona isn’t good?
Boston Bruins: Man, this is why Julien had to go: The Bruins are scoring more because Bruce Cassidy said “shoot like 16 percent.” Claude was telling them to only shoot 7.5 percent. What a dope!
Buffalo Sabres: Jack Eichel and Evander Kane seem to have something going lately, which only increases the chances Buffalo trades Kane.
Calgary Flames: Brad Treliving wants to be a buyer at the deadline, apparently? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.
Carolina Hurricanes: The Hurricanes head into their bye week now. Once the season is over, it’ll be interesting to see how teams across the league did coming out of their bye weeks.
Chicago: Hey, it’s a five-game winning streak. They’re still behind Minnesota, which is shocking.
Colorado Avalanche: The Avs only have 15 wins. It’s Feb. 13. Good lord.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Hahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahaha. Boy, when the wheels come off, they go flying, huh?
Dallas Stars: Jamie Benn had two assists Saturday night. Why has everyone been acting like his season has been lackluster? He’s over a point a game since October.
Detroit Red Wings: Man, this team is horrible. Blow it up. Put it out of its misery.
Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers go into their bye week sitting very comfortably at third in the division. Which, hey, you’ll take it.
Florida Panthers: The Panthers have allowed 10 goals in their last two games. Seems like a problem.
Los Angeles Kings: The Kings aren’t looking to make a splash at the deadline. That’s interesting. Wonder if that means Lombardi doesn’t seem them being meaningfully competitive in the West.
Minnesota Wild: Man, they just keep winning. Bruce Boudreau really ought to be the Jack Adams recipient this year if they win that division.
Montreal Canadiens: Here’s an idea: Fire Therrien, hire Julien. What a thumb in the eye to the Bruins.
Nashville Predators: Every time I think I have this team figured out they go and do something like this.
New Jersey Devils: The Devils took seven of the last eight points since the All-Star break. I’m sure that’s not a coincidence or anything. I’m sure it’s because they fixed everything that was wrong with them.
New York Islanders: Hell yeah, build a rink on Long Island. Why didn’t anyone think of that before?
New York Rangers: This is absolutely not one of the 100 best players in the history of the league. No sir. Nope.
Ottawa Senators: Bless Craig Anderson. What a player.
Philadelphia Flyers: This is the turning point, baby! Here come the Flyers! Yeah!
Pittsburgh Penguins: Get lost with this. Come on. They’re not trading for Matt Duchene.
San Jose Sharks: Logan Couture being out for any length of time would be, uh, bad.
St. Louis Blues: Another coach who is a big ol idiot: Ken Hitchcock. Why didn’t he tell the Blues to score a lot of goals and the goalies to not give up a lot? What a dope! Not even good at coaching to be honest.
Tampa Bay Lightning: Let me evaluate Callahan for you: He’s bad and old and broken down. Thanks.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Leafs are losers of six in their last eight. Probably, uhh, bad.
Vancouver Canucks: This is the kind of game that will convince Benning they’re really close and need to be buyers at the deadline.
Vegas Golden Knights: One suspects this is not a test the league will pass.
Washington Capitals: This is a laugh-out-loud great headline.
Winnipeg Jets: Why on earth are we talking about the Jets’ playoff position? They’ve been out of it since October.
Play of the Weekend
What this replay, bafflingly, doesn’t show you is that Drouin creates two turnovers then goes on a tour of the offensive zone before this sick no-look feed and tap-in goal.

Henrik Lundqvist has 400 wins now. Normally I wouldn’t say wins matter, but the reason he has so many is almost entirely because he rules. Chris Osgood has 401 wins for a very different reason, including the fact that he played behind an All-Star team.
