Colonists that have done wrong are being punished through public humiliation.
Hello fellow rebel New Englanders, I hope your Friday has been as rebellious as mine. So this is the picture I quickly sketched this morning of the event that occurred earlier at the town square. You probably passed by it too as if it was a common occurrence in our colony, well it is. We love public humiliation with all our heart, it seems to be the favored action of punishment. To be honest I’ve done some things in the past that could’ve gotten me onto that platform. I mean have you heard about the ban on dancing and singing in public?! Now that’s just STUPID, don’t you think? I should be able to skip down the rocky roads whenever I please. At this point I don’t even care if I end up on a platform, walking in circles, cause we’re rebels right?! Bye rebels.

Sassy Sewing Sessions
Hello fellow rebel New Englanders, I hope your Friday has been as rebellious as mine. So until now all I’ve done in my blogs is complain and I mean I have the right too, New England is all kinds of messed up. Though one thing I really don’t mind is weaving and sewing with all the other ladies. You’d be surprised there’s a lot of drama that goes on, and these little weaving sessions gives me a chance to catch up on all the drama. Oh I really shouldn’t be blogging this but Eleanor Humphrey has some serious issues. She wears this hideous red scarf (which btw is against our dress code so I give her some credit for it) cause it reminds her of “home”. But in my opinion I think she’s hiding something else ;). Anyways before I get off topic, this time of the day is the only non-boring part of my life. And the best part is that I can sew whatever I want. Once in awhile I even sew my self a nice pair of stylish pants. Not only cause they're so much more comfortable to wear, but they're also A LOT easier to sew. So if you're riding through my area don't be scared to stop by and join one of our top notch sewing sessions. Bye rebels.

Congregational Church Government led my men in a meetinghouse.
Hello my fellow rebel New Englanders, I hope you Friday has been as rebellious as mine. I always wondered what went on in these "super-secret" meetings that my parents wouldn’t allow me to attend. I mean I guess you can say I gossip - A LOT, but if I was told to keep a secret, I could! Honestly none of the information discussed seems to be really that secretive. I mean seriously I would love to voice my opinion and ideas about this colony which could help improve it greatly. Though to them everything that comes out of my mouth is apparently a sin. So once again my intelligence and the intelligence of the many bright women out there is going to waste. Bye rebels.

Hello rebel New Englanders, I hope your Friday has been as rebellious as mine. So before we get into the really juicy stuff, lets start of with discussing the silly outfits we are required to wear. They’re horrendous and repulsive, yuckkk. First of all, what are these colors, earthly tones? What about we wear some brighter colors so we don’t look like the WALKING DEAD. And come on why are we so afraid to show skin?! Its not like the sun reflecting off our skin will blind the World. Plus the young and old wear the same clothing! If I didn’t know any better, I’d ought to say we were all the same age. OH and we cant forget about the terrible summers. It might not even be that hot outside but our clothing makes it feel like 300 degrees.
Now sure I get that it's part of our religion and everything so I can't complain too much. Though what about the fact that only women can wear dresses and only men can wear pants. That’s just outrages! Why does it matter if I’m a girl, sometimes I’d like to wear pants and sit “un-ladylike”. AHH my fingers are burning up and I must calm down before I start ripping off my hideous clothing. Bye rebels.

Cause it’s all About ME
Hello my fellow rebel New Englanders and welcome to News England Drama. Here you will find the truth about this messed up society. I'm... Hmm lets not say since I'm a girl and clearly I’m not allowed to voice my opinions, so I'd rather stay anonymous. Though I can still tell you a little about my self, you can call me Charlie, that'll be my blogger name. Anyways I'm a fifteen year old teenage girl part of a very puritan family. I live in Massachusetts, which is part on the New England colony. Enough facts about me, let me express my opinions now.
I'm creating this blog to express the hatred I feel towards the crazy society I live in. It's so incredibly strict, its insane. If anyone even found out that I’m writing this blog they'd slit my throat, even better it would probably be my parents killing me. Anyways, of course you can tell I’m an English Separatist Puritan, but if you are for all these crazy religious ideals, then stop reading NOW. Because honestly I’m sooooo over these silly “Pilgrim” ways.
Now if you completely agree with me, this is the blog for YOU. I will update this blog weekly with the unfairness that blows through this colony daily. So don’t forget to check back every Friday! Bye rebels.
(p.s. The horse in my profile picture is my wonderful horse Cutie When I was sketching her, I decided to draw a heart on her head. You'll learn more about her and my other horse, Pie, in a later post.)
