Saurav got married - Malcolm Willstrop reports

The Squash World was well represented at the wedding of Diya Pallikal - Dipika’s sister & Saurav Ghosal which began in Hyderabad. India,as would be expected, featured with Ritwik Bhattachayra, Joshna Chinappa, Mahesh Mangaonkar, Siddarth Suchde & Dipika Pallikal, as chief bridesmaid & Harinder Pal Sandhu, bestman, American based Ramit Tandon, John Kemp, Jackie Hawkes former PSA's Claudia Schurmann, Mick Todd & Malcolm Willstrop completed the list. It is hard to imagine a more beautiful setting than the Taj Falaknuma Palace, overlooking the city from on high, built in 1884.

The 1st wedding ceremony, Christian, was held on day one & the Hindu version on day 2.

Dipika & Harinder entertained the 100plus guests with there best man & chief bridesmaid speeches. Highlight of the 2nd day was Sangeeth, a dance, that brought together both families. The colourful Indian dresses & some quality dancing made it special.

The bride & bridegroom came into there own but outstanding were Dipika & husband Danish Karthik, IPL cricketer. Lookout strictly come dancing! left in no doubt what marriage means to Indians, hope Diya & Saurav have a long & happy one.
