Darigan Yurbles Grey Tea Party!

(Based on my neopets hcktor and wyvmi)

Shape design studies with my Neopets Purgaramon the Ghost Cybunny and Fwipstie the Darigan Yurble.

I tried going with a sharper triangle based look for Ramoncito and a square one for Fwip. I did have more of a clear design idea for Ramon, and he also has some lore flavour text to him. He is essentially a dead nobleman who is tied with The Sway organization, and is desperately hiding the fact that he is a ghost with makeup and glasses, but everyone knows (his fashion sense is dated as well, you could try a bit better bud). Nobody in the organization likes him, but he is tolerated in fear of him giving out secrets to The Awakened. For Fwip I only have that she is his little henchperson.

I wanted to add a third Neopet, but I ran out of steam, so to cover up the empty space I added the colors I used for them lol. I also entered Ramon into the Beauty Contest, so wish me luck~!!

Talon: 100% a Kyrii, but weirdly enough ogrins and rukis also remind me of him???

there's no one paint brush i associate with al, but i associate talon with darigan paint color of course

Can I Tell You A Secret?

I've been dreaming of a Darigan Yurble for so long I willed her into existence. I couldn't believe it when a day after drawing this, I stumbled across Horns_the_Yurble in the Pound, and I couldn't be happier!

Horns and Thorns were proud to make an appearance this Yurble Day.

revived a couple old oc's as neopets (brown gnorbu ((with antlers)) and darigan yurble) <3 they are part of a trio but i am having trouble figuring out what the third friend would be as a neo >.<

Today on being entirely too indecisive regarding things that ultimately do not matter: I'm heavily considering a change in my Altador Cup team this year.

Back in the first Altador Cup, the "quiz" (actually I don't think it took your answers into account at all and just gave you a random option) told me to pick Darigan Citadel. So I did. And then I picked it again every subsequent year.

I like the aesthetic. Darigan is, in fact, on of my favorite Neopets Colours. But I am so bored of playing the same set of characters every year. I always hope for a swap or retirement or something, anything, but nope. Team Darigan Citadel has only had a roster change once and it was the year every team had a roster change.

If they won't change, maybe I should. But to where?

Dacardia would be a good option just because it's new and I could say I've been with them since their very beginning. I also like the Eyrie in the desktop background art. And I play that game. But uh, other than the Eyrie I think they're ugly.

The other team that has caught my eye so far with the press releases is Moltara. I like literally every player on the team - the Magma pets look great, the Yurble is purple, and I love Scorchios and Fire pets. I also think the little marriage plotline they have is cute and want to support one of those teams to victory. But Tyrannia isn't really my thing.

Haunted Woods caught my eye due to the Wraith Draik, but it's more that that one pet has the same vibe as Darigan Citadel than me liking the team.

Of the teams without press releases so far:

Faerieland has often been a temptation since Faerie is also one of my favorite Colours. I'm kinda tired of the Faerie focus lately, though, and the green/pink doesn't vibe with me as much as the pink/purple used to.

Lost Desert - I've always liked the Ancient Egyptian-inspired theme and the Lost Desert royalty are some of my absolute favorite characters on the site. They also have a Scorchio. And a Draik.

Shenkuu - East Asia-inspired is also one of the aesthetics I like. I also particularly like the designs of the Gnorbu and Lutari.

Yeah, that's a lot of options. I might have to leave it up to RNG between a few at the end. We'll see at the end of the press releases how I feel.

Oh hey the pound came back at some point today, nice!

I'm still thinking but I might wanna spin the wheel on the Yurble options. I always felt like Yurbles were one of the pets really screwed over by being forced into an awkward customization-ready pose. And I'd be fine with any of the three possibilities. Granted Faerie and Grey both look better than Darigan, but hey, at least Darigan would show off some team spirit next time the Altador Cup rolls around!

Skeith and Hissi are also major "oh wow customization ruined these" species, so I thought about those too, but while the UC Darigan Skeith is AWESOME the Grey one is kinda meh. Don't want to use extra NC just to guarantee Darigan. As for the Hissi... let's be real, the best Hissi option isn't even available yet (unless you're counting pre-existing UCs).
