Oh, is this inspired by my "details" post? Hmm, okay, let's try this:

"Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1" by Coheed and Cambria. It's a concept album and I could not tell you the fucking concept outside of like... misogyny and violence. AND YET... it has stood the test of time. The guitar on every song FUCKS. Interesting vocal tone. Experimental and nonsensical FUN rock music.

"Europop" by Eiffel 65. The blue da ba dee album. The rest of it is really fucking good pop electronica. Or it's just so nostalgic to me I can't see how generic it is. IDC, the synth goes oFF without being too high energy.

"Details" by Frou Frou, obviously. Similarly, "Speak For Yourself" by Imogen Heap. While these albums don't contain my FAVORITE songs involving Imogen, they are my fave collections of her work. Music that feels like nostalgia--like guzzling a sparkling potion that bubbles inside you and pushes your sadness and fears and LOVE from your heart into your pores. Pop music for people who care about storytelling, lyrics, and true emotional connection.

"Multitude" by Stromae. Another, "Idk if fmy fave songs are on this album, but the project on the whole is the best one." Diverse sound, brilliant execution every time.

"Heart Station" by Utada Hikaru. Choosing a favorite Utada piece is hard but I think this has the tightest collection of tracks? Similar appeal to Imogen, though the musical influences are ethereal in a different way.

"Las Ruinas" by Rico Nasty. It's hard to even describe this album but I like how Rico keeps pushing new boundaries. I do like the dancier tracks here.

"Alive 2007" by Daft Punk.If you know Daft Punk, this is essentially a megamix of some of their best songs.

"Coloris" by She. Chiptune, electronica, idk how to describe this album. Feels like your brain is being carbonated.

"Renaissance by Beyonce." Sorry, such a generic answer I feel but... she did it. She put all her power into a dance album with diverse sound, making it all accessible without being watered down.

"Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" by MCR because duh.

"Commit this to Memory" by Motion City Soundtrack. If you were an emo kid and wanted to kill yourself in the mid 2000s, you know this album. Even if it Kills Me is a close second, btw. Or My Dinosaur Life. I love a lot of MCS tbh. It's emo... pop rock, not surprising for me.

"eMOTIVe" by A Perfect Circle. It's alt rock. It's anti-war and depressing. "Passive" was playing in my head 24/7; I'd mentally turn it into an AMV every single day fo my life for like a year. I wrote a poem about it. "Thirteenth Step" is a very close second.

Technically, it should be "Hold Your Colour" by Pendulum, since it got me into Drum & Bass but I prefer the rockier depths of "Immersion."

"The Happy Star" Lexie Liu. Experimental pop music that reinvents itself each track, sampling from different genres. I just find it really enjoyable and keep returning to it. Might be recency bias.

"333" by Tinashe. An album tht contains the whole human experience--sadness to horniness. Good for her. You can dacne AND cry? Good for you.

"Remember that You Will Die" by Polyphia. Largely instrumental... prog rock meets trap meets electronica?

Choosing a one direction album feels like being threatened at gun point so I won't. Just know they belong here.

"Making Mirrors" by Gotye. People mock him for disappearing after someone that i used to know BUT DID YOU STREAM THE ALBUM?? Jazzy at times, rocky at times, psychedelic at times, BUT DID YOU LSITEN????

The Sims (Original Soundtrack). If you don't get it, I'm not explaining. Kill yourself.

"Perfect Velvet" by Red Velvet. I do think this album is the best kpop has to offer and I'm not fucking joking. I think SM put so much of their pussy in this track, it made their downfall years later inevitable. SM music is so sketchy now because the entir ecompany sold their souls (and pussies, bussies, and extraneous holes) for this album. "I Just" and "Kingdom Come" alone are like... god tier. R&B by a kpop group done CORRECTLY.

"Reborn" by Kavinsky. Feels like alternate timeline Daft Punk, including the The Weeknd knock off track. I couldn't... not love it.

Foster the People's "Supermodel." This alt-rock album got to me when I was profoudnly mentally ill in college and never let me go.

"Season of Poison" by Shiny Toy Guns. I love their first album just as much, tbh, but the anger feels like it's aged better. This album feels like a God's retribution. It feels a religious experience, including all the scary kinds.

"What's Your PLeasure?" by Jessie Ware. Disco-y pop. Sensual. Slick. Longing.

"1 of 1" by Shinee. CHoosing a Shinee album was HARD. Incredible kpop. If you want SIIIINGERS, COME HERE LISTEN OT THEMMM.

Sideswipe likes going to human parties, though it's not as often as before the situation with Sentinel and N.E.S.T. was terminated. Now that the Autobots aren't hiding, Sideswipe has gone to the dance club and sometimes gets invited to parties. Now he's amazed there are femmes who'd invite strangers now that he's learned how many human mechs treat femmes. Optimus only warns Sideswipe to be careful, while Sunstreaker hates when Sideswipe goes to parties or the Dance Club. Sideswipe does drink both high-grade Energon and human alcohol. The only times he's been drunk have been in the base, but Sunstreaker doesn't think Sideswipe will avoid getting drunk at human parties, resulting in Sunstreaker picking Sideswipe up from the party. "I've had to drag your aft up to our room from the cafeteria; that's my limit!" Sunstreaker argues, "if you do anything stupid at a human party, you'll have to deal with Prowl and Optimus."

Sideswipe gets a beer from the cooler and finds humans to talk to. Often he's talking to the femmes. He's distracted that he doesn't drink one can quickly. Most of the time, he finishes the can before leaving the party four hours later. Sunstreaker finds it disgusting Sideswipe thinks human femmes keep him from drinking too much. Everything is fine for two hours until everyone hears a femme yelling. "No! Leave me alone!" Everyone notices she's talking to a clearly drunk mech. "Come on, ley's havw a little fun," the drunk man says. "No! You're drunk. I know what you mean by 'fun'!" "No, I'm npt. I'm fine." "Hey! She said to leave her alone, so get lost!" Sideswipe yells. "Bacm off; she's mine." The drunk guy stumbles as he walks toward Sideswipe. Once he reaches Sideswipe, he throws a punch. The others are amazed he landed a punch while drunk. "Fughr md." "No way, you're drunk." "Fughr md!" The drunk manages to punch Sideswipe again. "I warned you." Sideswipe punches the guy, resulting in the guy struggling to get his balance back. He punches the guy again, hoping to get him to back off. Though drunk and struggling to not fall on his ass, the drunk continues to fight. The fight is nothing more than a show, and it seems no one is interested in calling the police.

Until everyone hears sirens. Sideswipe knows he's screwed even if Prowl isn't one of the officers heading toward the scene. The drunk still tries to fight. No one else tries to leave the property. Quickly Sideswipe and the drunk are separated. The drunk is cuffed. "Hands up!" Prowl demands, aiming his taser at Sideswipe. Oh, frag. Sideswipe thinks. "What? Prowl, you know me -" "I said hands up!" Sideswipe does as he's told before Prowl tasers him. Prowl forces him out of the yard and into his car. The drunk is put in another police vehicle.

The drive to the station is silent. Sideswipe knows he's busted.

Sideswipe is shoved into an interrogation room. "Sit down!" Prowl yells and closes the door. Let me guess, you're drunk? Sunstreaker asks through the bond. No, a drunk aft wanted to frag a femme. Sorry for helping her!

Prowl returns in less than five minutes. "What were you thinking?!" "That an aft wanted to frag a femme who said to leave her alone. He wanted a fight." "You damn better hope he doesn't press charges. You are banned from going to parties or the Dacne Club! Let's go!" Prowl forces Sideswipe up and out of the room to the back entrance. He's forced into Prowl's car.

Prowl takes the cuffs off and shoves Sideswipe into his room. "I'll be talking to Optimus about the rest of your punishment!" Prowl yells and slams the door. "Nice going," Sunstreaker comments. "Shut up!" Sideswipe can easily assume he'll be assigned extra patrols and other work all because he was trying to help a femme.

the vibes have just been off lately, i think it's the moon. but basically ive been super anxious about hanging out with my friends. for no absolute reason. and i feel guilty about it yadayada and so on and so forth et cetera et cetera.

panda is also mad at me for no reason.

oh and church today was wack. we just couldn't harmonise no matter what. the clergy were stuttering. and we were all singing wrong. my voice just like didn't work at all, idk why. and everyone else was all over the place too. and then the choir director felt sick and had to leave so we were there on our own and it was such a flop. like the vibes were just off. plus father paul wasn't there i hope he's okay,

i saw my zurich friend today and we walked around the lake and got ice cream. he shaved his beard and i noticed that he's actually quite good looking i was like okayyy bestie 👀

oh speaking of boys, i have an official church crush now btw. he's in the choir too and he's also a bit of a flop when it comes to singing just like me. we've never spoken but he looked at me once and now i look forward to seeing him every sunday. he looks like this intellectual type guy, so im glad we've never talked cos im sure he's insuffurable.

but anyway yeah, my zurich friend and i went to the lake. there was the afterparty of yesterday's thing. but it was under the sun like directly. and it was super hot. so we didn't stay there and got ice cream instead. and on our way back they were playing rasputin and i was like omg. so i started going feral with two drunk guys cos they were the only ones actually dacning. and everyone else just stood there and swayed side to side. and no one knew the lyrics and i was like guys it's rasputin wtf you're supposed to go crazy. and even the two drunk guys who were dancing didn't go that hard. so yeah, again, the vibes were off.

but whatever it is, you know what? i may be sad and lonely, the vibes may be off. but at least! at least im not at my father's birthday this year! mashala!

I'm probably not alone in this and I know it doesn't really matter but adverts really are just contemptible, aren't they?

Like, whatever, I don't care. There's some thought that goes into making adverts, I'm sure, and noticing them at all is probably all they really care about and I'm only one guy, whatever. But, like, I see these things, and I'm just filled with dripping, brimming contempt.

There's one that keeps slipping through the adblock. Amazon ad so it's already off to a great start. Some young woman in some drab flat. Buys plants from Amazon. Is real happy about it.

Just top to bottom everything about it is bad. Fuck you, Amazon. Fuck this premise. Fuck the 'inspiring' music you've set it to. Fuck whatever concept or feeling or idea it is you're trying to sell me. Fuck you from dawn till dusk, everything about this makes me taste bile.

Amazon is very bad for this because everyone knows what Amazon is. Everyone knows they're the bad guy in a cyberpunk story (or, fuck, that company from Sorry to Bother you) and yet they still pretend. They have those ones where they're like "Oh yeah Amazon is a great company to work for not a nightmare at all honest" and no-one believes them. No-one believes them. Everyone knows who they are.

Plan for the day. I am a YouTuber and artist under another name, so I still have that to balance with this new venture. I use just dance for my exercise because health is important and it is fun. I don't like sport much, but it makes it enjoyable. I have Just Dacne 2022 on the switch.
