Doll Inventory Part 18: My box of Frozen Dolls.

These are all my frozen dolls, and I have quite a lot because I REALLY like Frozen 1 and 2, and the shorts/specials too. I also in particular REALLY REALLY LOVE Anna. She’s my Favorite Disney Princess and one of my favorite Disney Characters ever. I’m borderline obsessed with her  lol. Anyways These are All My Older Disney Store/Disney Collection princess Anna Dolls with the original Face Sculpt.

- 1st row Left side is My 2015 Disney Store Princess Anna Doll. She was My First Anna Doll, I got her brand new back in 2016, and she’s my Favorite, most cherished Doll ever. I love her so much. I got her During a point when I was very Obsessed/In Love her her lol. While Her Hair is a Stiff dry mess, and she’s missing a lot of Hair Plugs, I still love her all the same. I did Trim her Bangs a few years ago, be more accurate to her look in the film, and I think it looks pretty good for the most part.. I also touched up her Blush Yesterday with some color pencil, and I think it came out pretty good. Usually I don’t have her in her Cap and her cape but for this Inventory post I had her wearing it.

- 1st row Right side is my 2013 Disney Store Princess Anna Doll, who I got a few years ago. She was one of the First Disney Store Princess Anna dolls released, and has a more detailed outfit than later Annas. Her Cape is Layered, had the Heart clips around the collar, the Purple trim/underside of the boots, and she has some furry gloves. Also Something I’ve noticed about the 2013 and some 2014 DS Anna Dolls is that they have a bigger head than the later 2014 to 2015 and onward Anna Dolls. Anna I also trimmed the Bangs on to be film accurate as of about a year ago. While The Later Annas use the more barbie style vinyl doll legs, the 2013, 2014, and some 2015 Anna Dolls use the awful Jointed Disney Store Soft Plastic legs that make it impossible for them to sit. But yeahI do really like her a lot.

- 2nd row Left side is My other 2013 Disney store Anna Doll, with her har uncut (and messy). She originally came nude when I got her but I later got her a 2013 Anna outfit. Also she has some weird Black stains on her nose and cheek, which I still need to clean off.

- 2nd row Right side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Princess Anna doll. I think she’s from 2013 or 2014 as she has a bigger head. Also the JCPenney Disney Collection Dolls are not as Articulated as the regular Disney Store dolls, and have the barbie like vinyl legs (one of which is broken on the inside on mine). When I got her she came in garish Bootleg clothes. In the Pic here she’s Wearing her bootleg Skirt but the Top and Shoes of the 2018 Disney Store Anna Doll. Also Trimmed her bangs to be film accurate.

- 3rd row Left side is a Disney Store Coronation Day Anna, I think she’s from one of the Box sets. The top of her Dress has no Details, Her hair style isn’t accurate to the film, as her bun is a little different, missing the braid in her hair, and the barrette. She also doesn’t have the Necklace, rather a black chocker for some reason. Also she got a Blue Stain on her nose at some point that I need to wipe off. I still really like her regardless.

- 3rd row Right Side is My Custom Coronation Day Disney Store Anna Doll. She’s Made from a Disney Store Frozen Fever Anna (Due to her Painted on Leggings), and a Disney Parks Exclusive Anna Doll Costume set that’s very hard to find. It’s the only disney store sized Coronation dress that accurate to the movie. However the set comes with high heels so I gave her the flats from the other DS Coronation Anna, and she also wearing the “necklace” that comes in the set, which doesn’t look like the necklace from the movie at all. Regardless I love how she turned out and is my other favorite Anna Doll

- 4th row Left Side is a Disney Store Epilogue Ice skating Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. It’s one of the ony DS Anna Dolls of her from her epilogue outfit from frozen 1. I’m thinking about trying to find another pair of her boots online to snip off the ice skates

- 4th row Right side is another Disney Store Frozen Fever Anna. I found her at a thrift store, and I decided to keep her hair down. Still need to style it.

- 5th row Left side is another Thrifted Disney Store Anna. Her hair was longer, and a but on the top was cut when I got her, but I decided to cut it short recently, and I think it looks great, Just need to style it.

- 5th row Right side is a 16 inch Disney Store Anna.  She has an intense Side Glance, some awkward arm articulation, and her chest lights up when she sings “For the First Time in Forever”. I’m wanna try to rebody her at some point, I just need to find a body her size that matches her skin tone.

Got 2 More Anna Dolls Yesterday, The 2015 Disney Store Anna (who was my first ever anna doll and means a lot to me) and the more recent Disney Store Hair Play Anna Doll.

First up is the 2015 Disney Store Anna Doll. Not much to say on her since I already have her. Asde from one of her braids getting messed up and it taking 2 hours to redo/fix, I’m really glad I have a fresh out of the box verison of her, for both comparisons with my other annas, and also for the bit of nostalgia from when I got my first anna nearly 5 years ago.

On to Hair Play Anna. Overall I do quite like her. While the curls at the end of her hair are gelled up, the rest of her hair is nice and soft, and the F2 Anna Face Sculpt Looks great on a Coronation Day Anna. The only Downsides I have with her are her overly glittery Dress skirt, how kinda cheap the dress looks, and how her top braid is a plastic Piece for some reason.

As for Accessories She Comes with 2 clip on hair Pieces, 3 Hair Clips, a Brush, and some glitter hair gel that i’m never going to use.

Coronation Anna released Nov 20, 2013.. LE of 2500 and retail price was $99 😍 When she first came out, no one had seen Frozen so she sat on shelfs with Snow Queen Elsa for days and then BOOM The craze began and all LE dolls became super popular selling for 6 times the price on eBay and creating a bunch of new collectors. I had to get her on eBay a few years after since I was not a collector at the time. She’s one of my favorites, doing an out of the box review soon for this doll and the other original frozen ones ❄️

THSR Designer’s Notes: The King And His Man Friend

And now, we turn out attention to the homosexual supporting cast:

Kristoff and Ryder are vital to the story - they’re the reason any civilians survive the third act - but they are firmly secondary characters to the drama, and their clothes reflect that. Not so stand-out or surprising, or as laden with symbolism as the leading ladies - but there’s still fun to be had. 

Let’s break it down. 

Kristoff’s outfit is very keeping within what you would expect. The shape is the same as his coronation suit:

But everything is lightened for the Spring Ball. The serious black exchanged for emerald green, and the autumn wheat decals for spring florals. As with his Frozen 2 palettes, he looks like Anna’s accessory:

Which does makes sense for this scene - he’s not all dolled up for himself, really.  But, it’s not just for Anna either. Where green and pink match her in the ball scene, the sky blue and gold match Ryder. 

Kristoff didn’t have to go so regal for the Spring ball.  It is a casual party, a public celebration for its own sake like Frozen 2′s harvest festival, but I wanted him to make the effort. This is the suit he’ll deliver his St Volcano Day speech in - when every depends on him looking and sounding like a king. 

With Ryder’s outfit, I had the most creative liberty yet, since his canon wardrobe is so limited and this is such a different context for him.  The cut reflects how he’s playing dress-up with silly foreign costumes - flowy tails, a dandy bouffant, and tasseled boots that are two decades out of style. 

I’m sure the tailor tried to help him pick out a more fashionable look, but Victorian fashion trends mean nothing to Ryder. He’s making choices for fun and exploration’s sake, not out of conformity. The look ends up being a bit like a cartoonishly flamboyant version of Hans’ ball suit from Frozen 1  - perhaps not a coincidence, since he has Marie as an advisor. 

The lines on Ryder’s suit are soft and round in contrast both to Kristoff’s and Marie’ boxy/angular cuts. He also retains his natural waistline, from his every day clothing:

Again, comfort over conformity. His palette is more or less intact as well, but highly saturated and lightened. Ryder’s not trapped in the gray mist anymore, and his choice in color reflect that. Sunshine yellow and gold, sky blue, and cloud lavender with a wind-like swirling pattern. 

The sky and air motifs will be even more fitting at the end of the Ball, when Ryder has his big day-saving moment with the Wind Spirit. 

Aaaaand that concludes all the Ball designs, and their permutations. All that’s left is the victory lap, and then the Designer’s Notes are done.

Frozen pre relase merchandise

First i want to say thanks to @hereisisa for let me use her tumblr to make this post, i have a lot of thing to say about frozen but no way to say them. this is a post i made with her permission

 This is the book anna icy adventure relased in october 2013, more than a month before the movie premiere, this is one of two books relased before the movie, a sister more like me is the other.

what is so great about this book? well not much really, is the story of frozen from anna point of view, only anna, all the scenes where elsa is alone are not present. but is interesting how disney was going to handle frozen before becoming a succes. lets beggin

Like i say the book focus only on anna, so we only know what she knows 

This is the first chapter, notice how start right in the coronation, dont have the flashback of the accident because her memories were changed, is sad how she dont have an explanation, elsa just shut anna away, still she believe elsa was a great sister ans was going to be a great queen. there is two things worth read from the first chapter

Anna is the free spirit, she was the one who want to be free, this is something planned since the first drafts of frozen

Anna only wanted to be with elsa again, nothing more, and elsa always have the attributes of a queen. but we already know this, i just want to make it clear again

The story dont change much compared to frozen, a little more dialogue and some scenes cut. except the chapter 7, this is where anna find elsa in the ice palace, and is very different from what we got.

ELSA GIVES HER BLESSING TO ANNA WEDDING WITH HANS! this is something i have never seen in any book, deleted scene, cut song or anything, is something the writter of the book put with disney approval or she came with the idea alone? this is a new side of elsa to me, she actually tells anna what happened that night, was not ambiguous, anna know what happened, the issue is never adressed in any other book of frozen media. “elsa laughs, i feel different” she is laughing because of anna, she really loves her but is afraid. this chapter is worth the whole book, this is the reason i made this post

This is the last chapter, same ending

I was not going to talk about the las chapter but after seeing the frozen 2 deleted scene “a place for our own” i think is worth 

Anna have some sort of resentment to her parents “do what our parents probably should have done a long time again” but i live how BOTH tell the citizens about the powers, anna never see elsa as a witch, i would love to see more scenes of anna talking with elsa about them, this is the closet i have

“when i do fall, i know the people who love me will always help me up”

i know this book have nothing to do with frozen 2 but i love that lines, i think they fit so well with frozen and contradict more the separation

Like i say except for chapter 7 the book have not much interesting things. but have a lot of awsome drawings. draws never seen again in any other merchandise. the book have a lot but i will show some

In conclusion what we can learn from this book? first of all disney have no idea how big frozen was going to be, this book is full of spoilers and nobody cares, was never leaked in any place and i never see someone make a post about this. i dont know why someone would buy this book back then in 2013, frozen have an horrible marketing, the trailer make it look like a filler movie, not the next relase from the company, the sisters were not the focus, was olaf, sven and the comedy. why this book focus more on anna than olaf? frozen crew want to focus on the sisters but the marketing team only want olaf? 

Another thing to notice, elsa barely appears, even if she is the person who move the plot anna is with no doubt the protagonist. back then anna and maybe elsa were going to be part of the disney preincess line, anna was just another “classic” disney princess, they think she was going to be the most popular character of the movie, like rapunzel, a good character but nothing special. then the movie was relased and elsa sudenlly become the marketing monster and nobody know how to handle the franshise since then. thankfully even when elsa is more popular than anna the subsecuent books will focus on both, elsa sell more dolls but the sisters sell more stories. 

If somebody is still reading i want to thank you, just to end this long post i want to make a comparison between how frozen merchandise pre relase was handled in comparisson to frozen 2. frozen 2 fool us believeing the sisters will be together, the books never have the ending with the separation, the spoilers were avoided. they know the separation was bad idea or they care about not having spoilers? who knows, i miss the days when frozen was relased, happier times

It’s beautiful to read how Anna and Elsa are described. Anna is far, far away from being Queen, and getting older doesn’t change that. She had a personality transplant!

There is a few line they used in the musical, the scene where Elsa sees Olaf for the first time, that “....and you’re alive?” I can hear it in Cassie Levy’s voice!

Anna thinking about real love after one kiss with K is omg so naive!

Now I understand better the writers’ pov, they don’t write for Elsa, it’s all about Anna. :/ I see this didn’t change much.

14. A random fact

Hmmmm.... well.... I started working at a nursing/rehab facility last year and a random fact I’ve learned that as people get older getting a UTI makes people go a little crazy. Like I’ve had people start talking about the IRS coming in to see them (but no one except family or nurses have come by) or fixing things that aren’t broken (but the maintenance guy comes in to “check” on it anyways) or sometimes not make any sense. And once the UTI goes away they’re back to normal. So I thought that was neat.

Im a fast learner but an eaqually fast forgetter... I can draw and surprisingly even tho I haven’t in a while, if I start again I can still art as well as I did before so that’s nice.... I’m good bringing ideas to the table but not of executing them myself.... I can do many things if it’s to help someone else complete their tasks or lighten their load, but I cannot sit down to do my own stuff... i can explain things good to people when they’re having trouble understanding stuff... i sing but I’m an alto so like my range is limited but that doesn’t stop me from trying to make Kpop covers when I’m bored (no ones gonna hear them unless I’m happy with them tho so...). idk of these are talents... these are more things I do... Hooooo boy.... okay. Uuuuh I got two big teddy bears. I got a big baymax, medium baymax, baby baymax. I have a big rainbow octopus (his name is omelette). Line friends sally plush (renamed her chicken) and an Apeach baby. I have a small white Scotty dog named Oliver. Little elephant named Phanti. A smaller one named blue (he’s blue dabadee dabba dai). a lot of Elsa plush dolls (one for every outfit and then a Christmas Anna and kristoff and a coronation Anna). A LOT of small TsumTsums like 3-4 medium ones and a big groot one. Dean and Cas plushies. A big bt21 Mang plush head (thanks bae). Little stingray named pancake. Vanellope. A buckwheat goblin and a black hug plush from the Kdrama Goblin: The Lonely and Great God. A care bear baby I’ve had since I inherited it from my sister (handmedown my sister is very much alive). A triceratops, a wooly mammoth. A few teddies. A Pooh and piglet in raincoats. A classic Pooh. A lot more piglets. Pete the dragon and Olaf from build a bear. some duckies. 49. A song that made me cry

Recent ones that come to mind are from Frozen 2. Show Yourself was my happy cry song (I feel like it’s the first time I had a happy cry song because all other songs I think about crying are sad heartbreak songs that remind me of sadness) and The Next Right Thing (sad cry).... An honorable mention is Astro’s Bloom just from feeling the music, then I learned the lyrics (didn’t make it better). But I knew if they had sung that song live at their last concert I would have ruined my make up but they didn’t and I was glad and disappointed.

In the Shadow of the Sun- Frozen Fanfiction

Anna’s POV: Days before Coronation Day TL;DR: Elsa’s not the only one who has made sacrifices Please see notes at the end for the inspiration for this.

I don’t think I realized, as a child, how I had been hiding things from my family. Well, from my parents, anyway- I couldn’t really reveal anything to Elsa whether I wanted to or not.

It would have seemed natural, at any rate- hiding things is a normal thing in this family. Just ask my parents or Elsa- they’re certainly hiding something from me.

But I guess, even subconsciously, that after seeing too many dark smudges beneath my parents’ eyes, after catching Mama in tears or Papa slumped over his desk, lightly snoring, my childish mind, even then, led me to feel that I should be less of a burden to my overwrought parents.

Anna, Papa once told me, a princess must be strong for her kingdom.

Strong for a kingdom? I didn’t know anything about that- I had barely even seen the kingdom except from the windows of the castle.

But being strong for my family? Well, I had a lot more experience with that.

After Elsa stopped talking to me and hid away in her bedroom, things changed. Besides me not seeing her much anymore, that is.

Elsa! I used to call, hammering on her bedroom door. Come out and play! Do you want to build a snowman?

No Anna, go away.

It wasn’t that bad, at first. I had other things to do and other people to play with. Gerda would play dolls with me for a bit, sometimes, and Mama made sure to have weekly tea parties with me.

Papa would take me outside sometimes. He helped me during riding lessons and started games of tag. Even a few of the guards would play hide-and-seek with me as they patrolled the hallways.

But Elsa didn’t come out of her room. Elsa didn’t seem to be playing with anyone inside of her bedroom, either. It was always quiet.

When I saw Mama and Papa leaving Elsa’s bedroom, I asked, were you playing with Elsa?

They shared a glance- an unreadable glance that I now just recognize to mean “how much do you want to tell Anna?”

No, Sunflower, Papa would say to me. Elsa has to work on some things, now.

I didn’t know why Elsa wouldn’t talk to or play with me. But she should at least be playing with somebody.

That night at dinner, I came to the table with my knit puffin doll.

It’s for Elsa, I said, solemnly holding the puffin out to my parents, head bowed. She needs someone to play with.

If I couldn’t be there to play with my sister in person, I had to provide someone or something that could.

Mama says that when she was pregnant, Elsa asked for the baby to be a sister for her third birthday. When I was born, it only took a minute until she couldn’t leave me out of her sight.

I love my sister so much, even now, and I’m used to the way our relationship works. But I can’t help wondering to myself- what changed?

I hate my hair - tangled masses of bright coppery-red. Papa used to call me his sunflower because of the color of it.

It’s funny- you’d think with my coloring I’d be like the sun, while Elsa, with her pale skin and hair so light it’s almost white, would be like the moon.

But this universe here at Arendelle Castle works differently. I’m used to it, now- Elsa is the sun. And I’m the pale, pockmarked moon orbiting around her.

My tenth birthday had been pretty nice, as far as birthdays went in the castle after Elsa shunned me.

Papa cancelled all of my lessons for the day and he and I rode our horses to a small stream within the castle grounds. Mama surprised us (well, probably just me, as I’m sure Papa knew about it), as she later rode up to us on her own horse, carting around a large picnic basket.

We sat under the sun and ate my favorite sweets while I did cartwheels in the grasses and even went for a quick dip in the water. Papa didn’t even get mad at me when I splashed them.

Later in the early evening, Mama and Papa came into my bedroom, their arms loaded with wrapped gifts. I chose to open the smallest one first. I had learned long ago that the fun lasts longer if you save the best for last.

As I was struggling to untie the bow, suddenly there was a crash from down the hallway followed by some odd whistling and cracking sounds. My hands stilled as I stopped to listen. It sounded like it may have been coming from Elsa’s room.

Mama and Papa had already stood up and were by the door. They shared that look again as someone knocked on the door, booming and quick.

Both Kai and Gerda walked in. They looked tense. Kai’s posture was stiff - tight like he was being drawn up by puppet strings. Gerda’s hands were in fists by her sides.

Your Majesties, Kai started, there is an urgent matter we need your assistance with. His expression looked like he was trying to tell Papa something else entirely. Gerda threw me a sympathetic look, her eyes resting on my fingers still ensnared in the strings of the ribbon on my first present.

Mama and Papa ran out of the room and down the hall.

I opened my gifts alone that night.

When I was younger, I used to cry over everything. The tears would let loose if there was no more chocolate cake, if I scraped my knee, when I didn’t get a math concept or couldn’t conjugate a verb in Swedish.

But when I started seeing Mama crying, I felt that maybe I shouldn’t be crying so much anymore.

In the beginning of Elsa and my separation, Elsa would still come down to meals a few times a week. As time went on, it became more of a surprise occasion when I saw my sister at dinner. One time when she was sixteen a whole month passed when I didn’t see her at all.

But even when she came to dinner, she usually didn’t stay.

Sometimes after I said something, or even when I had been totally silent, Elsa would startle. Sometimes her silverware would clink as it fell from her hands and hit her plate. Sometimes she’d snatch her hands away from her water glass, the liquid sloshing out and making a puddle on the tablecloth. Or sometimes nothing would happen at all, and she’d just stand up abruptly and ask, no, more like plead to be excused.

Half the time she didn’t even wait for our parents’ answer and would just run out the door. Those were the times I saw tears sitting in the corners of Mama’s eyes as she turned her head to watch her eldest daughter go.

Elsa hadn’t finished her peas, but I don’t think Mama was crying over that.

Mama always came to tuck me in at night. First Elsa, then me- that’s the way it was ever since Elsa got her own room.

Mama would tuck the blanket in around me and then stroke my hair as I fell into deep slumber. But sometimes after running her fingers through my hair, her hands would continue - tracing my eyebrows and lips, fingertips fluttering over my eyelashes. She'd rub my shoulders, run smooth hands down my back and stroke my legs until she reached my toes. It all tickled and kept me awake 'til she was done. But I let her do it- on those nights that she touched me more she came in with reddened eyes that dripped hot tears on my skin and sheets. I didn't think she was touching Elsa like that, for some reason.

Other times, when I was in my own room, I would hear yelling from down the hall - Elsa’s room.

What’s all the commotion? I wondered.

The loud arguments seemed to peak in Elsa’s teens.

You’ll be moody too, Anna, when you’re a teenager, Papa would say when I caught him and Mama outside just after leaving Elsa’s room. It’s a rite of passage everyone goes through.

He would slip his arm around Mama’s waist as he said this, pulling her close and giving her a comforting squeeze.

But if this was a normal thing for teenagers, then why were tears coursing down Mama’s cheeks?

I saw Mama’s tears so much, even though I don’t think she meant for me to see them.

My own tears, on the other hand, stopped – there seemed to be enough crying in this family already; I didn’t need to add to it. I would be a good, strong girl, and brave, I told myself. I won’t add to their troubles.

They both loved me so much, I know that. And they always did their very best job to show me that they loved me. So to show them how much I loved them, I tried my very best to be less of a burden.

One night, when I was thirteen, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t fall back to sleep. I decided to take a quick trip out to the gardens- maybe some fresh air and the stars gleaming above me would clear my head and allow my mind to rest.

Passing my father’s study, I stopped just outside the door when I realized the candles were still burning inside. Father must be staying up late tonight working. That was when I heard the hushed whispers inside.

I can’t, Idunn. I won’t stop until I’ve found answers.

There’s nothing helpful in those books, Agdar, you’ve already tried! They’re just stories, and that’s all.

I will not rest until I’ve found an answer. There must be something, some way…

Agdar, you’re killing yourself. And me. This isn’t helping anybody. We’re all hurting and worried, I know. But driving yourself crazy isn’t going to help our family. Or the kingdom, which is beginning to suffer in your obsession.

BAM!!

I jumped back, startled.

Do not tell me what I should or should not do. My father’s voice became dangerous and deep. I am working to save everyone- our Elsa especially. You know, Idunn, what will happen if I do not succeed.

Mama sniffled, her voice breaking. I know, Agdar, I know. I’m just….I’m just tired. Tired of all of this.

I know, I’m exhausted too.

I hurried off to the garden. As tired as I was, too, I didn’t think I’d be able to get much sleep that night anymore.

Just a year or two ago, now, I was on my way upstairs from the kitchens after sneaking a quick snack. It was time for another lesson soon and I was dragging my feet. Why did I have to learn all this stuff if Elsa was the heir?

Turning the corner, my eyes widened and I came to a halt, nearly stumbling over my own feet in my surprise. Elsa was huddled in the corner of the hallway, right outside of the main conference room. I couldn’t believe she didn’t notice that I was standing there, watching – Elsa always seemed so cognizant of everything going on around her. I knew from past experience that if I made myself known she’d dart away like a rabbit. So I stood there and observed for a moment.

She looked so much like Mama now it was uncanny. Except that Mama didn’t shake like that. Or breathe like that.

Elsa was hugging herself, trembling against the wall. I could hear her breaths, short and ragged, all the way from where I stood out of sight.

My eyes darted to the conference room door. She must be expected at a council meeting. I guess she’s…nervous?

Elsa? I called softly, stepping carefully around the corner so she could see me. Her neck snapped up to me, her eyes growing wide at the sight of me but they were unfocused and hazy. Her stuttering breaths became even more rapid and uneven.

I took a few steps closer as she pushed herself into the corner as if she wanted to disappear into the wall. I stopped where I was, then – I knew Elsa liked her space. I couldn’t do anything – I’m not smart like Elsa, or well-spoken like Papa, or gentle like Mama. But I tried to be everything I loved about my family.

It’ll be alright, Elsa, I told her. I wish she would let me hold her hands. You’re going to make a great Queen someday. Papa told me that you’re so smart. All those stuffy old men are going to listen to you more than they do to Papa.

I don’t know if what I said helped- she still was trembling, her gloved hands still fisted in the pockets of her jacket, and her chest was still heaving. But I think that she was shaking less, and her fingers might’ve loosened, and I think she may have shown me just a ghost of a smile before she turned away from me and entered the room.

I stopped asking Mama to practice French with me. I stopped asking Papa to help me with my math lessons and history. My grades didn't drop, much. I had a lot more time to study without a sister to play with.

I stopped asking for help with my own problems because I saw that everything was weighing heavily on Mama and Papa - they were already stressed and busy what with running the kingdom. But mostly, I knew that they had their hands full with whatever was going on with Elsa. I know, I know - she’s the heir, she should take priority.

But sometimes I was struggling. Mama and Papa do their best with me, I know, to show they love me with the scant time they have. But I never told them about how the diplomat’s son, who I exchanged letters with often, broke my heart. I never told them about the weird cold spells I used to get some nights, waking up shivering and unable to warm myself. I never told them about that one guard that smacked me, about how I wanted new paintings to talk to, or that I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday if it was just going to make me sadder.

I just knew they couldn't take one more weight on their shoulders by worrying about me.

I know my family loves me - well, I know that Mama and Papa do - but ever since Elsa shut me out, Joan is the only one that really knows me. (I think she does, anyway – sometimes she can be a bit forgetful).

And now it’s just you and me, Elsa. What are we gonna do?

I can see that you’re trying to stay strong when you walk to your meetings, now. I’m trying to stay strong, too. I won’t bother you like I used to. You’re going to be a great Queen, soon. And even if you don’t want my help, I’ll always be there if you need me – your right hand.

I don’t mind being the moon if you’re the sun, Elsa- but especially now, when it’s just the two of us and the days are so dark- I wish I could see the sun sometimes (and not only from the shadows).

Have you seen the movie Wonder? If you haven’t, you should. If you don't know, the movie “tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out." (IMDb) So there's this one scene in it where you hear his sister's perspective on everything. Basically, she loves her little brother with all her heart but is kind of pushed to the side by her parents because they have so much to do with already with her brother's medical condition. In addition, she also makes sure to be the perfect daughter and student so that her parents don't have to worry about her, because they already have enough on their own hands. And it made me think of our Frozen family- the King and Queen already had so much on their plates what with running a kingdom, and now add on a child with ice powers that she can't control and they have to hide. The King and Queen probably spent more time overall with Anna than they did with Elsa, but Anna sees how preoccupied her parents sometimes are with whatever is going on with Elsa. And Anna loves Elsa despite this happening, but still wishes she got some more attention. AND Anna is making her own sacrifices and being strong for her family so she doesn't stress her parents out anymore than they already are- even though she doesn't know what's going on, just that SOMETHING is.

Doll Inventory Part 19: My Box of Frozen Dolls

These are My Later Disney store Frozen 1 Annas, My Frozen 2 Disney Store Annas, and all my Mattel Annas

- 1st Row Left & Right sides are my 2018 Disney Store Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the newer Face, which I’m not the biggest Fan of. Long story short I inadvertently ended up with 2, so when I got the 2nd one (left), I decided to undo the hair on my first one (right), and later cut her hair shorter, which I feel looks a lot better. On it’s own it’s a cute face sculpt, but as Anna from Frozen it looks awful.

- 2nd row Left side is my Disney Store Frozen 2 Singing Anna doll. Rather than a button on her torso, you twist her wrist on her left arm to make her sing Part of “The next Right thing”, so one of her arms is fully articulated and the other isn’t. She also has Painted On leggings, though the Disney Store F2 Elsa Dolls have full cloth goods Leggings which is annoying. Also she has a ton of Styling Gel in her hair so she has Hella Curls

- 2nd row Right Side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Frozen 2 Anna doll that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Like the other JCP Dolls she’s not as articulated, doesn’t even have the painted on leggings. She doesn’t Have that much Styling Gel in her hair so it looks a lot nicer. I prefer her to the singing one due to not being a sining doll and her nicer hair. There is another Disney Store Anna in her Travel outfit that come in the Big Deluxe Box set with Elsa, the Nokk, Kristoff, and Mattias. That Version has the Full Articulation, Painted on Leggings, and a Slightly different Face, I wanna try to get that version Eventually.

- 3rd Row Left Side is a Disney store F2 Prologue Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Her Hair Bun.. isn’t a bun like it is in the movie it’s this weird lip shaped thing that tucks into itself it’s weird. Also she has the ugliest Shoes i’ve ever seen on a doll, they’re disgusting. That Aside I do really like her

- 3rd row Right side is a 2013 Mattel Anna, one of the first Anna Dolls to come out I think. From what I understand, when they were making these dolls they were using older designs for the characters, and by the time the dolls were already done the designs changed and it was too late to change them. I’m not a fan of the molded on top at all, and i think the design is weird, at least in doll form. I’m missing her skirt, but overall I like her even if she doesn’t look like anna, especially with that face.

- 4th row Left side is one of the later Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the updated Face. I do like her Face, it’s super, but it doesn’t look like anna that much.

- 4th row Right side is a Mattel Troll Wedding Anna that comes in set with kristoff, Olaf, and some of the Trolls.

- 6th row center is a Mattel Frozen Fever Anna with a Hideous Face, and a really bad default hairstyle covered in styling gel so it’s hard as rocks.

Well I’ll be Damed she does have her hair down. Also noticed how They’re finally starting to nail her bangs (started with the DS OFA dolls but it looks really good here). And while I initially wasn’t a fan of the new OFA Doll Face it’s been growing on me a lot and I Think it looks great, especially here.Still Kinda Annoyed that they Still Use that Plain black top Dress and not the Disney Parks one that’s more accurate but otherwise This looks Like a Really Great Set, Might try to pick this up when it hits stateside

Day 3-Final day 😭 I got magic morning so I was able to get into the park an hour early, I ended up meeting Daisy and Donald (for the first time in years). I followed Chip around who was riding solo and he later bugged me in line and signed my book. I played around in Star Wars Launch Bay for awhile, meeting Vader who was standing in the doorway waiting for us (not threatening at all). I showed him my Kylo Ren bag, not sure how he felt about it. Chewbacca on the other hand did not like it at all and I had to hide it (no one tell him I'm being Kylo next week for a con). I geeked out over the Star Wars merch and displays, including a huge Kylo Ren figure (someone loan me 630 bucks), a hat with goggles that Felicity Jones wore in Rogue One and a picture that was signed by her (I need 230 bucks, that needs to be in my house). I was walking to Pirates when I saw Alice and Hatter, Merida proceed to run up and scare Hatter (didn't work) and he asked loudly where her stick is (bow), her dress is really flowy btw and I followed her quietly until I saw Rapunzel and Eugene at Fantasy Faire. Of course I visited Rapunzel and Eugene, they loved my Tangled themed ears and the journal I brought with me. Eugene was concerned his smolder wasn't working earlier and I told him it worked on me from a distance. Rapunzel proceed to sign the journal since she wasn't there on Tuesday to do so, while Eugene said Rapunzel was totally painting a picture of him (since the picture inside of the journal is him with an apple and Rapunzel with her paintbrush) and he's her favorite thing to draw. (Otp alert). Aurora managed to pass by elegantly and the ducks nearby started quacking suddenly, she turned to them and said, "oh, I'm excited to see you too!" I met a girl from the Frozen Live show while in line for Snow White's Scary Adventure and told her how much I love the show and she loved my Hans doll (tell the Hans actors about him, please). Speaking of which, my family and I did see the Frozen show later that day, making it my third time seeing it on this trip. Still love it. I waved at the horses on Main Street, telling them they are beautiful. I make it my goal. My niece isn't the biggest fan of Small World but she loves Pirates. She also liked Sofia the First but cried when Minnie waved at her. I bought me a Disney Artist sketch of Anna in her coronation gown and it is gorgeous. I plan to frame it when I get home. My dad gave me a necklace of Cinderella's carriage that had a Swarovski crystal, the same type of crystals used in the 2015 Cinderella movie. To finish the night, I got a churro, walked through Sleeping Beauty's Castle, admired Snow White's Wishig Well and went to sit in empty Fantasy Faire, just taking in the mood and the peace. When it's late, no one is there and it was a nice farewell to my favorite place ever.

Finally! I can happily announce now that I own all Frozen limited edition dolls! Three of them OOAKs like this Winter Anna. I remade her using a Singing doll and LE Jasmine's box. I really do like how she looks next to Elsa. ♡ This was really a super big project. Painting the box already took several days. Wednesday is my day off, I was randomly checking my board when I saw the trailer. Couldn’t believe it at first.

Then had to watch it on bigger screen, my grumbling kids unhappy that I monopolized the tv for quite a bit (it’s usually Fortnite or the Loud house).

I don’t talk much about Frozen, my kids know how crazy I am about it, but family and friends don’t know. Talked yesterday to my sister that I wanted a doll (Disney limited edition Coronation Anna) for my 40th birthday, she laughed hard. I felt somewhat hurt. Happy not telling her about Frozen. And more than happy to have this amazing fandom.

Friendly but still astonished reminder that the Frozen 2 teaser trailer dropped a week ago and that Disney decided to do it as a surprise and that this random Wednesday happened to be my one (1) day off of the year because I had a severe cold and was at home

Clever marketing from them to my attention or blatant luck? Idk but I’m so glad none of my coworkers know that I’m a Disnerd because they could accuse me of taking a whole day off just to see the trailer on my sofa
