Coppertail and Sweetflower set out into the woods, with the barely rising sun behind them. It wasn’t an official patrol, just a short hunting trip before the day truly began. Their way let them through a small cluster of trees with blueberry bushes littered about. Smelling the scent of a squirrel, Sweetflower crouched down low in the bushes, following the scent until he spotted the animal high up in a tree, gnawing on an acorn. Trying to show off in front of the Clan’s deputy, Sweetflower creeped up to the tree and explosively launched himself up the tree, digging his claws into the bark. Unfortunately, he wasn’t fast enough and the squirrel managed to escape. Oh no. With his ears pinned back, he let himself drop back onto the ground, avoiding Coppertails annoyed face. “Great job, Sweetflower. That’s definitely going to feed the clan.”
