idk how you can define how close the cast are to each other since they all kinda act the same around each other? like i would argue valenfield and cleon are closer bc we see more interactions of them? different types of relationships of course, but those friendships are the most significant for each respective character imo. like they're all friends. they have each other's phone numbers. that's all we know. that's all we need to know. we barely know what these ppl do outside of fighting zombies lol the rest is pure speculation.

Our summer trip for all the zoomates in Central Park Zoo to Hori-Zones indoor water park hit a flat in the bus dept, all the tires!

The weatherwoman Absol almost Wilded out undressing herself in the news station when her forecast called for extreme heat, 115°F!

Every furry critter got popcorned with their fur fuzzed and stewing in their sweat, and the arctic ones were stocking ice as if the World was melting! Even the reptiles panicked cuz of all that sun and multiple moltings!

WE NEEDED OUR POOLTIME!

Wait…Didn’t Gene n I use that outdoor tub on the Stuyvesant girl when some imp possessed her & her can gal Tina? filled it with enough salt n sand to make a beach n lure a rabid raccoon w/ a naked mongoose cashier lady, demon b gone! Tonia’s got plenty water fun stuff for the dogs she trains at her obedience classes, and that slide her dad gave her for the playground cud b an attraction at the zoo, plus maybe the Arises could spare a few giant ice blocks for our makeshift ACs in holed-out coolers from the frisbee dudes visiting from Brooklyn! We still owe that mongoose 4 the striptease bait, we’ll offer a go at our exclusive Park Zoo waterpark rides no charge? If Alice lets us, that is. She was happy to oblige mostly cuz her makeup wuz running, and some inhabitants were willing to make their spaces into attractions and pools with some summer gear of their own!

Then it’s settled: one Gimungo Water Park at CPZ for the whole damn summer, all residents n tourists looking for cool welcome!

2 weeks time, the grand opening of Central Air Water Park Zoo was in full swing! It wasnt Hori-Zones, but we pulled off wut we could with the junk from neighbors’ garages and the shed. Got the firefighters and mayor in on the action, securing permits to connect hoses to the hydrants and into the zoo’s main water system. And we made sure to direct those hottest of dogs to the chillest parts of the zoo, mainly the Polar Bear & Penguin habitats, but we added saunas in the desert and rainforest habitats for the tanners and steamers. Shame we had to charge $10 or $20 on All day passes for our guests, but 2-4 single scoop cones from a malt shoppe per guest/group wud b enough charity to pay for new bus tires after tarring on the blacktop!

While ringtail Gene ran the cashbox by the main gate, Matt & I played lifeguards with his dog cop buddies, thanks of officer Francine Doberman’s training, when she busted some fairground robbers at Coney Island last summer. Wigless, too: she didn’t want her hairpiece ruined by all that chlorine. And had to keep the gulpin poking out her bellybutton, Gulliver, from drinking “stew water” or it digested some unpleasing meat. I was keeping a sharp eye on Fenneko. My coworker was in heat looking to hook up “swim buddies” , like the two bros with their frisbee matches. I needed to make sure she didn’t try tasting their beef when she’s steaming!

Two hours into the Big Summer Chill-a-Thon, I seem to have lost one ringtail cat. Last I heard, Gene left the admission box to a Guagsire that also sold ice cream for the young guests. This one hippo lady, far too young to be in her golden years, haggled an orange sherbet cream pop as an entry fee for $15. The slimy blue newt took the twofer, but didn’t suck in the refreshing relief in its mouth just yet, rather it smeared it on its steaming forehead before biting into it! Not enough dough or a favor from this grueling heat, she made a bargain on that fee!

No wait, that’s Greta Dee, the sweet-loving elderly woman down in Hell’s Kitchen! Moved to New York from London five months back, set up her family’s candy store, Dee’s Luscious Sweet Shoppe, in the most rotten part of the Big Apple! Can’t b safe for any kid or adult geting their goodies and not b unalived by a crook!

I heard thru the grapvine that delectable granny was a witch of sorts with her assorted candies, not only did she smooth out her wrinkles & fat to a fetching pear shape, the sweets in her shoppe seem irresistable to not buy. That or, like in Hansel & Gretel, she was luring unwiting victims to make her goodies with animal sacrifices or sum sh!t

I’m in no mood for urban legends out of fairytales, not like I had enough urban fantasy adventures in my life without the ringtail going off on his A-side story. I got a needless b-plot as temporary lifeguard saving some unwiting college broskis from getting STDs from my horny-ass coworker. With her tiny size, she’ll play Lost Preschooler and get those meatheads on the arctic river floe by the Polar Bears virtual glacier!

OH! FICLET IDEA: The gang play Undertale, and Blinky has some comments.

Blinky looked at the computer screen then at the three humans. 

“Master Jim, could you perhaps explain to me why your character is fighting a flower?”

Jim’s eyes didn’t stray from the screen. He was focused, moreso than any other time Blinky had seen him. Toby pressed his hands down on the other boy’s shoulders. Claire, the responsible one, or so he thought, was watching with great interest, a bowl of popcorn in her lap. She placed a piece into Jim’s open mouth. 

“Is Master Jim alright?”

“He’s in the zone, dude. This is like, the bossiest boss battle ever,” Toby remarked. “Minus, Dark Souls. Still. Really hard.”

The heart icon danced in front of the screen, moving so rapidly it made Blinky’s eyes hurt. 

“I still do not understand the appeal.”

Claire spoke up, “It’s a video game about choices basically. A kid falls into a hole where he ends up in the world of monsters.”

This was sounding oddly familiar.

“He meets a bunch of monsters on his quest to return home and his choices affect the game, the characters, the dialogue, even the ending. You can either kill the monsters like in regular rpgs, or subdue or befriend them.”

Yes, very familiar. The image of Draal and Nomura came to mind.

“Befriend them?”

“Yeah. It’s different then other games. Jim’s currently trying to finish up the pacifist route.”

The screen flashed. Jim dropped the controller, groaning. “Damn it! What in the world is with this game? How am I ever going to defeat that stupid flower? Fighting Angor Rot was easier than this.”

Claire patted his shoulder. “There, there. Have another popcorn.”

“Jim’s been stuck on this level for awhile,” Toby said. 

“How many times has he played?” Blinky asked. 

Toby began counting on his fingers. “Let’s see….maybe 20, 25 times?”

Blinky looked over to the Trollhunter, the first human to take up the mantle, destroyer of Bular, Angor Rot’s bane, and the savior of Trollmarket, was screaming into one of Tobias’s pillows.

I’m late but some things I liked about Tales of Arcadia: Wizards

This is what I do when I can’t sleep:

-new characters’ designs (Bellroc, Skrael and Nari specifically). Like seriously they all look so cool! Even if two of them are evil lol

-Douxie and his whole character arc and learning to believe in himself. I like how he was technically always fully capable of handling situations, but just needed to have more confidence in himself. He’s probably one of my favorite protagonists of the Toa series

-Douxie’s friend(?) Zoe. I just want a spin-off with the two of them so bad, that would be so awesome!

-Krel. Would’ve loved for him to be in it more, but I guess we’ll just have to wait

-the way it was kind of like a prequel to the first trollhunters tv show. Seeing the backstories or everyone was so cool

-Jim and Claire being a grade-A healthy couple 👍

-Jim turning back into a human. Troll Jim was cool, but the design was a bit off-putting sometimes tbh

-Shannon’s girlfriend is a wizard, wut yes that’s awesome

-I don’t know if this counts, but the fan art! Oh my gosh the fan art for this show is so awesome and beautiful 😭

Bottom line is, I don’t know why but I liked this way more than I thought I would and I wish we were getting another season of this show. Still super excited for the movie tho :D

All others I can at least sort of understand where people are coming from, but Sastiel... you have 12 years of Cas and his Profound Bond and intense eye contact and I'll-go-with-yous and canon love confession with Dean, I want to know what deep dark hole you pulled Sastiel out of.

13. Unpopular opinion about [anyone in TFW]? I don't know if this is unpopular necessarily, but if we ignore the finale (as we should), I think Sam had the best character arc out of TFW. I really loved his journey from "I want no part of this life that has cursed me" to "This is a part of me and I'm a better person because of it." I know people hate the idea of them staying in the life, but I think it makes a lot of sense for Sam.

22. Popular character you hate? Might have to go into hiding after this one but we are going for salty here so: I don't really like Claire. I don't hate her, I'm just sort of ambivalent about her. I think 80% of this comes from me not being a huge fan of Kathryn Newton's acting (Sorry! She's fine...) but come for me if you must.

so wizards happened, what did you think of it?

My Thoughts (Spoilers Ahead)

I enjoyed it a lot. Was it perfect? No, no show ever is perfect. I think one of the reviewers for it gave it a B+ which is what I’ll give it as well. The animation has greatly improved since Trollhunters and 3 Below and the magical parts were really well animated. The voice acting was also good. The new voice actor for Jim has improved a lot since Trollhunters season 3 and it shows. Claire’s voice actress has also gotten better I think. And hot damn, Callista? She’s one of my favorite characters now.

The designs for the villains were killer too. Also Douxie’s design and character during Wizards is just great, so props to the designers and writers for bringing him to life.

Some of the pacing was a bit off, but with only so much episodes they were able to produce they did the best they could. Overall, I think my main issue with it was the ending for Jim, but I also understand why they went with it? For me, when they said it was a permanent change in season 3 of Trollhunters that was it, so going back on that rule kind of made me turn my head and go wut?

But I get why the writers did it as well. Jim has always sacrificed himself for others time and time again, so giving him something back (returning him back to human) makes sense. I know a few folk are now freaking out that Claire will outlive Jim but considering the old knight dude was still on the floating Camelot 900 years later makes me believe that even if Claire did outlive others (because I’m assuming the aging thing is a choice) Jim would probably join her since they are together.

I do hope Jim takes up Excalibur in the movie, as that makes the most sense thematically for me. Because Jim didn’t choose to be the Trollhunter originally, Merlin chose him in season 1. He was pressured into taking it again in season 3 as well. But Jim choosing to take on Excalibur is different as no one is pressuring him. It’s his choice. It completes his character arc, going from protecting humans and trolls to protecting magic and nonmagic alike. Plus, all the symbolism of James LAKE taking up the sword that comes from a LAKE in a place called ARCADIA. Like, come on.

Plus everyone else has a weapon now. If you give it to anyone else Jim is gonna be stuck with his cooking knives and I’m not sure how much damage he’ll make on the villains with...actually, forget everything I just said, that would almost be amazing.

Jim taking down a villain with a steak knife would make the most sense thematically for me now.

I found it really engaging. I was glued to the pages.

I like what Mara can do. A little terrifying but very awesome.

I never knew what happened if it was real or not. I like the guessing.

Love her relationship with her brothers.

Noah is not ordinary. He’s just as cool as Mara but not as scary. lol

I really like her friendship with Jamie. It sucked what the people at school did to him. Those jerks.

 I like the flashbacks or dreams of what happened in the past with Jude, Claire, and Rachel. 

That cliffhanger in the end! Wut is happening!?!

Mara Dyer knows she isn't crazy. She knows that she can kill with her mind, and that Noah can heal with his. Mara also knows that somehow, Jude is not a hallucination. He is alive. Unfortunately, convincing her family and doctors that she's not unstable and doesn't need to be hospitalised isn't easy. The only person who actually believes her is Noah. But being with Noah is dangerous and Mara is in constant fear that she might hurt him. She needs to learn how to control her power, and fast! Together, Mara and Noah must try and figure out exactly how Jude survived when the asylum collapsed, and how he knows so much about her strange ability...before anyone else ends up dead!

I didn’t like this as much. I was a little bored honestly.

Noah wasn’t really acting like Noah in this one and it wasn’t really explained why. I do like how he’s determined to protect Mara.

I like the dreams of the past of the original doll owner.

Jude needs to die a painful death! The things he did were absolutely terrible.

I feel so bad for Mara! No one believes her but Noah. Good ole Noah.

Jamie’s back. Yay! 

There’s more that have gifts/powers....whatever you would call it. And they're all different.

The truth is coming out about Kells. I never did like her.

That ending! Wow! Mara, you scary badass.

There was more on the past with the doll owner. The dreams or genetic memory showed who Lukumi was and how he played a part in all of this. And how to stop the gifts from passing down. Also what Noah and Mara mean to each other.

I like that Mara, Jamie, and Stella are determined to find out who is really was in charge of Horizons and Dr Kells. The information that they found out was mind blowing. The lives Kells took was terrible. Glad she got what she deserved!

I loved that her brother, Daniel, wanted to find answers to help Mara. I don’t think my brother’s would go to those lengths. lol

I loved that Mara gave zero f*cks when it came to killing people. Honestly those people deserved it. I couldn’t do it but she had no problems. 

That ending. What a wild ride.
