Soma
Soma was a fermented juice drink which was believed to have been consumed by the Hindu gods and their ancient priests, the brahmanas, during rituals. Thought to be an elixir its consumption not only healed illness but also brought great riches. Soma is personified by the god of the same name who is also the god of sacrifices and who may, in some texts, be associated with the Moon. The drink is famously described and praised in a Mandala of the sacred Hindu text, the Rigveda.
The Drink Soma
Perhaps first used in ancient Persia, Soma juice may have derived from the fermented milky sap of Asclepias acida, a climbing plant which thrives in mountain areas. Other candidates for the origin of the drink, or partial ingredients therein, include hallucinogenic mushrooms, honey, cannabis, blue lotus, milk, and pomegranate.
In mythology, the gods gained their immortality by drinking Soma and it was the favourite tipple of the great god Indra. They then gave the drink to the archer-god Gandharva for safe-keeping but one day Agni, the fire-god, stole it and gave it to the human race. Not only drunk by priests for its sacred nature it was also credited with uplifting qualities, giving the drinker a boost in energy and alertness. These effects meant that the drink has been considered divine since ancient times; a beverage which brought humans closer to the divine. It was also commonly offered in libations to the gods by worshippers.

Hello
I saw your pushya nakshatra post! I wanted to ask
is Purva bhadrapada Nakshatra also not good for marriage as well? As it is Jupiter nakshatra and wanted to know how brhaspati plays an important role here as I can't say my life is as good in all aspects as pushya nakshatra it's quite the opposite in everything.
Thank you.
Pushya Nakshatra vs Jupiter Ruled Nakshatras
It’s not the same thing.
Jupiter RULERSHIP of Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purva Bhadrapada is an entirely different subject.
Pushya is actually ruled by Saturn. Pushya’s deity is Brihaspati, Jupiter, the Guru personified. You can’t compare it to any of the Jupiter Nakshatras. Brihaspati doesn’t rule any of them, because in the Jupiter stage we’re still learning how to use the planet properly, and as a Master of Jupiter, being the God himself, Brihaspati needs Saturn, the planet attributed to the highest spiritual power on the tree of life.
Each Nakshatra is ruled by a specific deity and our human lives mirror this deity’s story. Pushya has its own specific story of struggles with marriage that I described, that is unique to it.
Also, being ruled by Saturn, Pushya’s life is supposed to improve as you mature. As a Pushya, I’m in my 30s and kind of still waiting for it to happen fully, even though some things have considerably improved compared to my youth, I’ve literally been through hell. Pushya is more abundant for others than for oneself, sadly.
With Purva Bhadrapada, and whatever else you have in your chart, you’re gonna have your own challenges proportionate to that. Marriage difficulties can be caused by many chart aspects. The deity of Purva Bhadrapada is Aja Ekapada, the fiery serpent representing spiritual purification through fire. It’s a story of its own, separate from Pushya or Brihaspati.

Rejecting those who disregard his worship, Indra victorious lives through many autumns. In every figure he hath been the mode: this is his only form for us to look on. Indra moves multiform by his illusions; for his Bay Steeds are yoked, ten times a hundred. Here Tvastar, yoking to the car the Bay Steeds, hath extended sway. Who will for ever stand upon the foeman's side, even when our princes sit at ease? Gods, we have reached a country void of pasture the land, though spacious, was too small to hold us. Brhaspati, provide in war for cattle; find a path, Indra, for this faithful singer. Day after day far from their seat he drove them, alike, from place to place, those darksome creatures.

Jagannatha Mishra festival SRI CAITANYA BHAGAVATA Adi Lila Chapter 3. 1 Even before He took his birth, the Lord propagated the chanting of His holy name. 2 Streams of people went for their bath in the Ganga at the time of the eclipse and all the way they chanted the Lord’s name. 3 Some, who from their birth never once uttered the Lord’s name, now chanted that name on their way to the Ganga. 4 The sound of chanting emanated from every direction and the Supreme Lord, the best of the brahmins, smiled to Himself as He made His appearance. 5 Shri Jagannatha Misra and Shrimati Sacidevi glanced at their child’s beautiful face and were over come with unbounded joy. 6 Ladies stood around the child not knowing what to do; fussily they ululated in jubilation. 7 Relatives and friends hurried to see the new born child; Shri Jagannatha Misra’s house was a scene of great exultation. 8 Shrimati Sacidevi’s father, Shri Nilambara Cakravarti, found esoteric and wonderful signs in every house of the child’s astrological chart. 9 Shri Cakravarti was astounded by the baby’s beauty and saw all divine symbols on His person. 10 A much accepted prophesy in Bengal was that someday a king would be born in Bengal as a brahmin’s son, so Shri Cakravarti thought that only the future would prove whether this was the child. 11 In the presence of all, Shri Nilambara Cakravarti, an expert astrologer, began explaining the ramifications of different astrological signs in the Lord’s chart. 12 The further he delved into the child’s exalted chart, the more difficulty he found in describing the Lord’s position. 13 The child will conquer Brhaspati (the sign for learning and education) and be a scholar; He will be a natural repository of all divine qualities. 14 Present in that gathering was a great saint in the guise of a brahman who made predictions on the Lord’s future. 15 The brahman said, “This child is the Supreme Lord Narayana Himself. He will establish the essence of all religion. 16 “He will initiate a wonderful preaching movement and deliver the whole world. 17 “He will give everyone that which is forever desirable even by Lord Brahma, Lord Siva or Shrila Sukadeva Gosvami. https://www.instagram.com/p/CphotymoN8V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

In Sansakrit, Thursday is also associated with Jupiter too. As Brhaspativāra (बृहस्पतिवार) symbolised by the deity with same name; Brhaspati. Believable to be counterpart of Zeus/Jupiter.
Anyway, I like Thursday, since a little girl. 🧡 Still can't find a solid reason 😅 But Thor isn't the reason for sure.
Days of the week series: Thursday
Proto-Germanic - Thunraz
Anglo-Saxon - þunresdæg (thunresdag)
Old Norse - þorsdagr (thorsdagr)
Roman era equivalent - Dies Lovis /Dies Jovis
Although not often known as such today, Thor was one of the most popular gods in the Viking era. He is a fertility god, did not demand blood and/or human sacrifices and of course the weather is important for both farmers and seamen.
Thursday is the only day of the week which has a proto-Germanic base, Thunraz. Because both Thor and Jupiter wield lightning, the two were easily compared. The association was made strong already during the Roman conquest, while equivalence between f.e. Odin and Mercurius is less obvious and took place at a later date.
Germanic variations of Thursday vary between “Thor’s day” or “Thunder’s day”. Jupiter still lives in Roman languages, such as jeudi in French.

Rig Veda: The First Scripture Of Hinduism
Tumblr media
The Rig Veda is the first scripture of Hinduism. It is also called Rigveda or Veda-Vyasa. The word "Rig" means "praise" and "Veda" means knowledge. So, the Rig Veda is a collection of mantras (or hymns) which are prayers to God and the 'Pancha Bhutani' - the five forces: earth (Prithvi), water (jalam), wind (Vayu), fire (Agni) and sky (Akash). It has 1028 mantras or hymns in its 10 books known as Mandalas. These Mandalas are divided into two parts: Mandala 1 to 7: Mantras for Agni, Varuna, Indra, Soma, Rudra and Vishnu. Mandalas 8 to 10: Mantras for Indra, Brhaspati and Soma Explore more with us at 4veds.com

Sri Chaitanya Bhagavat Adi Lila Chapter Three By Srila Vrindavan Das Thakur
Even before He took his birth, the Lord propagated the chanting of His holy name. Streams of people went for their bath in the Ganga at the time of the eclipse and all the way they chanted the Lord's name. Some, who from their birth never once uttered the Lord's name, now chanted that name on their way to the Ganga. The sound of chanting emanated from every direction and the Supreme Lord, the best of the brahmins, smiled to Himself as He made His appearance. Sri Jagannatha Misra and Srimati Sacidevi glanced at their child's beautiful face and were overcome with unbounded joy. Ladies stood around the child not knowing what to do; fussily they ululated in jubilation. Relatives and friends hurried to see the new born child; Sri Jagannatha Misra's house was a scene of great exultation. Srimati Sacidevi's father, Sri Nilambara Cakravarti, found esoteric and wonderful signs in every house of the child's astrological chart. Sri Cakravarti was astounded by the baby's beauty and saw all divine symbols on His person. A much accepted prophesy in Bengal was that someday a king would be born in Bengal as a brahmin's son, so Sri Cakravarti thought that only the future would prove whether this was the child. In the presence of all, Sri Nilambara Cakravarti, an expert astrologer, began explaining the ramifications of different astrological signs in the Lord's chart. The further he delved into the child's exalted chart, the more difficulty he found in describing the Lord's position. The child will conquer Brhaspati (the sign for learning and education) and be a scholar; He will be a natural repository of all divine qualities. Present in that gathering was a great saint in the guise of a brahman who made predictions on the Lord's future. The brahman said, "This child is the Supreme Lord Narayana Himself. He will establish the essence of all religion. "He will initiate a wonderful preaching movement and deliver the whole world. "He will give everyone that which is forever desirable even by Lord Brahma, Lord Siva or Srila Sukadeva Gosvami. "Upon seeing Him people will feel compassion for all living entities and become callous toward material pains and joys. This will be the great benediction for the whole world. "Not to mention ordinary men, even hard-core atheists will worship the child's lotus feet. "He will be glorified throughout the entire creation and people from all orders of life will come to worship Him. "He is the personification of pure Bhagavat religion (eternal religion), the benefactor of brahmanas, cows and devotees and the affectionate, devoted son of His parents. "This child has come to accomplish great works, just as the Supreme Lord Narayana incarnated to re-establish religious principles "Who can explain the imports of this child's exalted astrological and esoteric symptoms? "How fortunate you are, Sri Jagannatha Misra, a leader amongst men. I offer my obeisances to you, the illustrious father of this child. "I feel greatly fortunate that I could calculate his astrological chart. His name accordingly will be Sri Visvambhara. "He will be known to all as Navadvipa-candra (the moon of Navadvipa). He is spiritual bliss personified." The brahmin did not speak further about Lord Caitanya's pastime of accepting the renounced order of sannyasa since that would disturb the loving emotion of His parents. Sri Jagannatha Misra was enthralled with ecstasy over the descriptions of his son. He immediately wanted to offer gifts to the brahmin. He was a poor man with few possessions, yet feeling great jubilation Sri Misra fell at the brahmin's feet and cried. The brahman also caught Sri Misra's feet, and everyone present shouted "Hari, Hari" in great joy. The relatives and friends were all praise for the child, and they blessed Him as they heard the super-natural predictions about His future. Soon the musicians arrived playing their respective instruments - clay drums, flutes and shanhai (a reed instrument) - and filled the air with wonderful music. Ladies from the higher planets mingled freely yet unnoticed with the ladies from earth in this wonderful gathering. The mother of the demigods (Aditi) smiled and placed her right hand holding auspicious grass and paddy on the child's head to bless him saying, "Long life". "Please remain eternally in this material world and manifest Your pastimes". This explained the expression "Long life". Srimati Sacidevi and the others noticed the extraordinary beauty of these ladies but they hesitated to inquire about their identity. The demigods respectfully took the dust from Sacidevi's feet, and she lost her speech in extreme exultation. Neither the Vedas nor Lord Ananta Sesa could describe the waves of jubilation that drowned Sri Jagannatha Misra's house. Entire Nadia seemed to be present at Sacidevi's house to experience that undescribable joy. Wherever the people were - in their houses, or on the banks of the Ganga, or on the streets, - they all loudly chanted the Lord's name. Everyone jubilantly celebrated the Lord's birth, unknowingly thinking the festivity was actually for the lunar eclipse. Lord Caitanya appeared on the full moon night of the month of Phalguna; this day is the most worshipable by Lord Brahma and other great personalities. This day of the Lord's appearance is the holiest of holy occasions; this day is devotion personified. Lord Caitanya appeared on the full moon night of Phalguna and Lord Nityananda appeared on the 13th night of the waxing moon. Both these days are all auspicious and transcendental occasions. If one properly follows these two holy occasions he develops love of Godhead and cuts asunder the knots of material illusion. The appearance days of pure Vaisnava devotees like the appearance day of the Supreme Lord, are also all-auspicious and transcendental. Whosoever hears the narrations of Lord Caitanya's birth is freed from all miseries in life and in death. Anyone who hears Lord Caitanya's pastimes immediately gets love of God and becomes his eternal servitor; he comes with the Lord each time He advents in this material world. The Adi Khanda text is wonderful to hear because it contains descriptions of Lord Caitanya's appearance. The Vedic literature describes these pastimes of the Lord as eternal, although He sometimes appears and sometimes disappears. Lord Caitanya's pastimes have no beginning and no end; I write them down by the mercy of the Lord. I offer my humble obeisances at the Lord's feet and at the feet of all His devotees. I pray that I may be excused from all offenses. I, Vrndavana dasa, offer this song to the lotus feet of my life and soul, Lord Sri Krsna Caitanya and Lord Sri Nityananda Prabhu.

Navratna Jewellery: The Complete Guide - Lasolitairejewels
Tumblr media
In almost all parts of India, the practice of wearing Navratna-encrusted jewellery is popular. The nine gemstones, or navratnas, represent the nine planets that Indian astrology is based on. They are thought to protect the well-being of the person who wears them, as each planet guards one of the nine gems and provides power. Critics, on the other hand, argue that pairing particular gems can be risky. As a result, it must be worn properly in order for the Navratnas to fit you.
THE FEATURES OF THE NINE GEMSTONES/NAVRATNAS:
The meanings of these nine jewels vary according to Indian culture. Let’s take a closer look at each of the nine gemstones to learn more about them:
Ruby for Surya (Sun)
Ruby is a gemstone that connects itself with the Sun, the Ultimate Energy Source. The Sun’s red cosmic rays provide active energy, boost self-esteem and have sight-healing powers on those who wear them. It improves focus and gives you the power to command. Ruby enhances a person’s leadership abilities, gives them independence and is a symbol of purity.
Pearl for Chandra (Moon)
The moon is represented by the pearl, which is a gorgeous white gemstone. When you wear a pearl, it has a calming influence on your attitude and disposition. It also helps with tension, stomach difficulties and marital concerns. It emits a good atmosphere around the wearer. It provides mental and emotional balance. Pearls encourage socializing and provide satisfaction by helping in the control of one’s thoughts.
Red Coral for Mangala (Mars)
The planet Mars is linked to red coral. When worn as a ring or pendant, the combination of opaque coral and gold protects the user from fevers, jaundice and other harmful ailments. The coral also serves as a strong barrier to evil spirits. It increases courage, strength, knowledge and the ability to win.
Emerald for Budha (Mercury)
The cold, green radiation of Mercury is absorbed by emeralds. The wearer is shielded from disorders with the intestines, liver, lungs, tissues, tongue and nervous system. It’s said to help with brain-related functions including memory and communication.
Yellow sapphire for Brhaspati (Jupiter)
The planet Jupiter is represented by the Yellow Sapphire, which instills honesty, faith and sincerity in the wearer. It helps in increasing the flow of wealth into your life. Wearing a yellow sapphire can also help with spiritual drives and yoga meditation. It broadens one’s horizons and increases compassion.
Diamond for Shukra (Venus)
Diamond is one of the most valuable jewels and it is thought to promote financial prosperity. Venus, the planet of beauty and love, is aligned with the diamond. It improves one’s appearance and invites success in life. It bestows all of life’s comforts, joys and fortune upon the person who wears it. It also attracts abundance and makes one successful.
Blue sapphire for Shani (Saturn)
Blue Sapphire is considered to bring you good luck and advantageous circumstances. It is extremely advantageous to those involved in commerce and business. This gemstone, which is ruled by the planet Saturn, is ideal for lawyers, judges and other authoritative professionals. It makes one humble, increases tolerance and matures a person.
Hessonite for Rahu (the ascending node of the Moon)
Hessonite is a powerful gemstone that is used to counteract all of Rahu’s negative impacts on one’s life. It also helps to alleviate acidity-related problems. Wearing the Hessonite can also help the wearer win court fights or negotiate better commercial deals. It improves a person’s ability to understand his or her own thoughts and self.
Cat’s Eye for Ketu (the descending node of the Moon)
People who don’t have a well-placed Ketu in their natal charts should use cat’s eye. The Cat’s Eye counteracts the evil effects of Ketu, which can lead to jealousy, a loss of rank on the job ladder, or an increase in rivalries. If Ketu is in the correct house in the natal chart of the native, however, it provides clarity of thought, vision and opens the door to spiritual enlightenment.
THE SETTING ARRANGEMENT OF THE NAVRATNAS:
Navratna jewellery can be put on mounting rings so that the stones come into contact with the skin. The weight of the stones is determined by the astrological chart of the individual. A ruby (representing the Sun) is always in the center, surrounded by a diamond, a natural pearl, red coral, hessonite, a blue sapphire, cat’s eye, yellow sapphire and an emerald (clockwise from the top). In a nine-gem design, no stone other than a ruby is traditionally put in the middle. Because the Sun is at the core of the solar system and its gem is located in the heart, doing so is seen as against nature.
CONCLUSION:
Although the claimed astrological benefit of wearing stones has not been scientifically proven, it has been used by both men and women for centuries.
Here at La Solitaire’s most exclusive collections, we offer a range of handcrafted Navratna Jewellery. Natural and original Pearl, Cat’s Eye, Sapphire, Recreated Coral are used to make the jewellery in this collection, which is a visual treat. Rare Clip of SPH JGM Nithyananda Paramashivam initiating disciples to materialise kumkum, bhasma, haridra, rice grains and gold specks.
This science comes from Paramashiva - called Shastanga Yoga. In this Yoga Pada, extraordinary happenings manifest only from the space of Oneness ( advaita ).These are referred to as 'shakti-s'
This is contrary to siddhi-s - which comes from the ego which manifests higher experiences.
If we look into our scriptures, the Vedas give us the right to manifest powers ( shakti-s ) .
SHIVA SUTRA,SUTRA 3.18 SVAMAATRAA NIRMAANAM AAPAADAYATI
Translation : Experiencing the objective world as the product of his subjective consciousness,he can create and manifest any object or matter or occurrence that he thinks or desires in this Universe, within time and space
Chamakam is found in the Samhita of the Taittiriya Shaakha ( branch ) of the Krishna Yajur Veda.In this portion,we are given the rights to celebrate the various forms of divine powers which comes from the space of oneness with Paramashiva.
6th Anuvaka :
a̠gniścha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ sōma̍ścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē savi̠tā cha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ sara̍svatī cha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē pū̠ṣā cha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ bṛha̠spati̍ścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē mi̠traścha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ varu̍ṇaścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ tvaṣṭhā̍ cha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē dhā̠tā cha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ viṣṇu̍ścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē'śvinau̍ cha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē ma̠ruta̍ścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ viśvē̍ cha mē dē̠vā indra̍ścha mē pṛthi̠vī cha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē'ntari̍kṣa-ñcha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē dyaucha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē̠ diśa̍ścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē mū̠rdhā cha̍ ma̠ indra̍ścha mē pra̠jāpa̍tiścha ma̠ indra̍ścha mē
Translation : May All These Be Mine : the powers of Agni,Soma,Savita,Sarasvati,Pushha,Brhaspati,Mitra,Varuna,TvashhTa,Dhata,VisHNu,Ashvinis,Maruts, the Vishve Devas,Prthvi,Antariksham,Dyau,Dishashca,Murdha and Prajapati.
Indra in the Vedas has an inner meaning - it means the master of the senses. So these power match with one who operates from pure consciousness and not from the the influence of mind and sense.
The power of Antariksham for instance, correlates with the power to do akashik reading - which is very commonly exhibited by the initiated disciples of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam.
7th Anuvaka :
