Favourite character: i mean, cassian is the obvious answer. i am VERY ATTACHED to mon mothma as well, and Brasso makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and like there are some decent people in the world klfsdjklfdsjklfdsjlkfds

Funniest character: this show by and large is not funny but. it is also a comedy. case in point: every scene with syril karn simping for dedra meero. he's soooo pathetic. it's hilarious. it's sickening. it's HILARIOUS.

Best-looking character: Cassian and Bix, they're both ~my type~ so what was i meant to do!!!!!!

3 favourite ships: hard to ship people in a show where everyone's doomed. am i allowed to argue that cassian/jyn is in fact an andor show ship because jyn's presence hangs around so heavily? i also fuck with cassian/melshi.

Least favourite character: i kinda love them all, even the fascists are extremely well-written characters...!!

Least favourite ship: maybe cassian/bix doesn't super appeal to me bc cassian/jyn is so important to me??

Reason why I watch it: no joke it is the best star wars property outside of rogue one itself and it is one of the best shows i've ever seen. cries forever!

Why I started watching it: i didn't watch it for months because i knew i wanted to give it my full attention and not mindlessly binge it, and i'm really glad i waited until i was in the right headspace. unfortunately that does mean i was spoiled for quite a bit, but honestly i might not have watched the show without everyone i knew raving about it, since i was so burnt out on star wars last year! everyone's gifsets & meta convinced me it would be good and everyone was right.

Nutrition for Virtual Learners

With resumption of virtual learning, most kids are either not able to maintain their lockdown routine (since there is no routine) so we see either misbalance of meals or binge eating in few.

It becomes tough for such young minds to understand the importance of self-discipline. Virtual learning can actually get more disciplined, if the child is mentored to follow a fixed, specific nutrition schedule ensuring loop less supply of nutrient, steadying growth markers and teach them eating as per the situation and requirements.

Kids nutrition is apparently most imperative part to assessed and looked forward to ensure virtuous immunity with optimal growth and development. Paying heed to nutrition; at this phase of growth and development becomes extremely important and critical, the standing of right and precise nutrition in these footing years can influence growth and development in young children.

A few may throw tantrums; few may prefer skipping meals all together.

Since macronutrient like protein, is an integral part of wear and tear of body tissues and stand superior due growth periods like childhood.

In this write up, we are going to find ways of feeding protein rich meals in between the virtual learning sessions to improvise immune response, better conduct and focus.

1. Protein loaded liquids are more feasible and smart choices to align protein requirements.

Virtual learning can apparently bring an unforeseen change in eating schedule. Macronutrient like proteins, if used wisely can impart effective growth and development at this crucial period of growth and maintenance of body functions.

If determined, this phase of new normal, can be essentially used to inculcate healthy eating habits supporting growth and maintenance. The Growth of Jazz Music

In the turn from the century about 1920, numerous artists made their mark by playing in the discreet underground nightclubs called "Speakeasies" which are high class, "Blind pig" lower class or "Smokeasy" for tobacco users. The United States once prohibited the sale of alcoholic drinks and smoking tobacco in clubs as a constitutional amendment. One could typically find an underground nightclub by the thresholds without an indication to indicate that there was such as establishment inside. Those dives also had a secret doorway that lead out to a passageway or alley just in case the police came to investigate. The police had the power to arrest everybody in the position attributable to the fact that they were broke the law by being there.

Ten years after Jazz music became popular it was reinvented into a style that might be suitable for radio and dancing. This style was known as "Swing" which allowed musicians to improvise their own individual interpretation of the melody or style that was sometimes tough to do. In the Swing era Jazz bands grew into a more substantial size which was often noted as "Big Band" music that would always feature a soloist.

The band leaders and music arrangers for Jazz music who became famous for this style of music was Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Earl Hines, Fletcher Henderson, Walter Page, Benny Goodman, Don Redman, Chick Webb, Jimmie Lunceford, and Jay McShann. During this period there were racial issues of segregation between charcoal and white people, but it slowly died down sufficient for the white band leaders to find black musicians to perform with them. In the center of the 1930's Benny Goodman invited Teddy Wilson (pianist), Lionel Hampton (vibraphonist), and Charlie Christian (guitarist) to be a component of a group.

Each musician learned from the style of other musicians as a way to form their own. To Illustrate, Taxi Calloway, Dizzy Gillespie(trumpeter), Bing Crosby (vocalist) were influenced by the improvising of Louis Armstrong. Later, the vocalists Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, and Sarah Vaughn joined the scene with Jazz Improvisation known as the scat. To Scat is to vocally imitate instruments using such non verbal language as doot 'n doo bee yah bah loo bey doo ee ya boy lay bah doo doot 'n doo yah doo doy.

Before now of the 1940's Jazz music evolved yet again into a new style called "Jump Music" which was upbeat music using blues chords carried out by small music groups. These small music groups are the forms many bands make currently. Later, another style of Jazz music came using the music of the 1930's as an inspiration called "Boogie-Woogie" where the typical 4 beat bar section expanded into an eight beat bar section in the rhythm which Big Joe Turner took the lead in the 1940's.

In the 1950's, music reinvented again when turner turned to "Rock and Roll music". As for the Swing era music it was reborn in the employment of the modern dance trends. Kansas City made memorial for Charlie Parker in their American Jazz Museum that displays the history of the music and the individuals who made Jazz music what it is now.

I feel ya on creative stifling. We've been in transition for a year now and my family of 5 is currently shacking up with my cousin while we try to finish a career change & cross country move in the midst of a global pandemic. I just want to sew to keep myself sane - but i can't because all my stuff is in storage and we're too busy stockpiling every spare cent for new exponential housing costs to buy anything. I'm almost positive I'm going to lose my mind before this is over.

Oh god do we ever share the same hideous hat. I was desperately hoping we could cut ties with this area and move to another part of the country altogether, but that just couldn’t pan out for me. And with things going wrong in this house even before we moved our stuff in, I’ve been living with this sword of imminent eviction over my head for three years, just waiting for it to drop. Nothing really kills your creative expression like not knowing if you’ll still have a house tomorrow, y’know?

“Ain’t No Sweet Man Worth The Salt Of My Tears”

Ok so I binged Andor. Thoughts so far-

A) fully adding Cassian Andor to the “sad wet fucked up little man” collection. Also Diego Luna is a very good actor (also clear because I bothered to remember both names).

B) what the fuck is up the the Kenari? Why are they all kids? What happened to them? I’m intrigued and I’m fairly confident that’s the point so hope we get some more information on that even if we never get full answers.

C) Everything about this this guys story is just pointing more and more to “fucked from birth essentially”. Grew up in a tribe of children forgotten or abandon by everyone with no parents in sight. May never have seen a mirror before, or really afraid of/hates technology. Taken by some scavengers who he couldn’t understand to space, a place it’s likely he don’t know one could go to. Went to and imperial prison for three years at 13. Does nothing but crime. Seems just generally deeply sad and fucked up. The moment Maarva decided to take him is was like “ma’am I understand but also this is soo messed up”. It sorta feels like she tried to save him only to prolong the inevitable and idk what to do with that. There are some unexpected and brilliant layers to every part of this. It’s great.

D) So far doing a great job reinforcing how both uncaring and ruthless the empire is and how it fosters that mentality and corruption everywhere. Bix’s bf informed on Cassian and all it brought was destruction to his home and his own death. People don’t really have much reason to obey or follow the empire, it doesn’t foster loyalty just fear and fear can only go so far. I’m glad they haven’t tried to spin it as anything else here.

E) the hell is up with Dedra? What are her “type”? Why is she semi-undercover here? Is this some more of the program we see later in the sequels?

F) Im glad we already know Cassian’s fate, ultimately. I don’t need to worry about the character dying to have investment. But there’s so much that can happen from here to then that can matter. He can still have goals which can go well or go badly. He has plenty of issues to care about. Most of his allies can still die. Any number of things could happen. Episode 6 did show that definitively, the mission barely succeeds and over half the group dies.

I just binged book 5 of Can Ci Pin and can I say it was so well written?? Like the series is long and I was having a slump midway. There was lots of wars and complicated politics stuffs in book 4 but everything came together perfectly in book 5? I realized that the plot going slow before was so necessary?? It actually shaped everything. You wouldn't be able to fully grasp the essence if you skipped those parts. Like? Priest always does this, always! It was so ... beautiful? I think I've never read the ageing of characters and how time shapes everything so well. ( My baby baby Bixing) The yearning felt too real and everything how did she managed to make it a perfect balance? Nothing too complex, nothing too dramatic, spot on humour, the characters portrayed themselves in the simplest way ever possible but at the same time the anguish will crush you. That was so FUCKING WELL DONE. I AM SAYING THIS AGAIN , PRIEST, I LOVE YOU.
