Afro Bolero ft. Angelique Kidjo & Mo Laudi by Philippe Cohen Solal Out Now
We will not forget the fine team that allowed me to cook up this sacred cocktail: Flamme kapaya, guitariste congolais exceptionnel, le DJ-beatmaker parisien Lazy Flow et feu Hilaire Penda, Cameroonian bass player and an active member of the Parisian african musical scene, who unfortunately left us since.
Bénin, Afrique du Sud, Le Congo et le Cameroun se rencontrent à Paname, the capital of World Sounds, mais l'aventure musicale ne s'est pas arrêtée là. Les remixes nous emmènent directement à Londres avec Poté, à Berlin avec Daniel Haaksman et à Johannesburg avec le super-groupe Batuk formé par le parrain de l'électro africain Spoek Mathambo, the kwaito maestro Aero Manyelo, and the Mozambican singer Manteiga. À un moment où le voyage est interdit ou déconseillé, let’s be grateful, for music does not need certificates or passports and knows no borders.
Angélique Kidjo (Vocals) Mo Laudi (Vocals) Mweni Flamme Kapaya (Guitar) Hilaire Penda (Basse) Lazy Flow (Programmation) Philippe Cohen Solal (Keyboards, Programmation)

-Akmal Nasir
Pesakit covid19 meningkat...
Malaysia maintain 150-220 pesakit baru setiap hari atau buat selama2nya tanpa mahu turun?? Itu dah cukup baik bukan? Buat MCO, buat EMCO tapi di Hypermarket dan Supermarket malah Mini Market masih biar org berebut2 TANPA SD yg betul. SD awal hanya ditunjukkan masa beratur di pintu masuk utk check Temperature. SD akhir masa nak byr di kaunter. Tapi in between masa kat tempat brg2 basah..mak aii...berebut2, batuk, bersin di depan org, lintang pukang pakat pilih bawang, ikan, udang mcm2.
Hanya segelintir yg tak berani dekat dan menunggu. Majoritinya buka mask letak kat dagu..berebut mcm biasa.
Aku p Tesco, sama. Aku p NSK, sama, Aku p Segi Fresh, sama juga. Mana2 hypermarket pun sama. HEBAT rakyat Malaysia..!! Lepastu pakat dok heran awat dah dekat sebulan MCO tak nampak jangkitan harian junam, sebaliknya terapung dan flat? - - Zus Din

Kejayaan hari ini kerana
perancangan Kjaan PH pd Dis 2019...
Minister deletes all TikTok Contest postings after getting an online roasting...
Higher Education Minister Dr Noraini Ahmad is believed to have deleted all TikTok-related postings from her social media accounts after getting hammered by netizens. Noraini’s launch of the contest yesterday seemed promising after she kicked it off with a promo video of her making a video call to a pair of youngsters acting as her children, who were informed of the contest on the video-sharing social networking app TikTok.
Selamba dia baling Menteri bawah bas...
It featured the current hit remix of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s ‘ke sana, ke sini’ announcement, but Noraini’s attempt at capturing the hearts of netizens fell flat and she was on the receiving end of an online roasting since yesterday. “Air suam, Doraemon, kumbahan and now the TikTok Minister,” read one posting, in reference to the continuous stream of high profile blunders by ministers.
Noraini criticised over the timing of the entertainment-based idea, when her focus should have been on the welfare of students stuck in hostels at universities and institutions of higher learning across the country. Solutions were required both for their current situation during this Movement Control Order (MCO) and the resumption of their studies.
Others compared this to how the reaction from Noraini’s far right Malay-Muslim nationalist support base might have been had such an idea been concocted by a Pakatan Harapan minister when they were in power, when, as one netizen described tongue-in-cheek, “Islam was always under threat and Malays were apparently being discriminated against.” “Very Islamic!,” said another. - talkabout

Inilah padahnya berbuat baik kpd pembangkang dulu. Rakyat dah tak termarah sebab menteri2 PH terlalu baik dgn musuh tak bertempat. Bila kamu jd kerajaan... semua org jahat kamu tak ambil tindakan tapi bila kamu jd pembangkang, org jahat itu sanggup buat jahat kpd kamu kaw2 tanpa belas kasihan walau kamu tak bersalah..- Mur Ni
cheers.

Soundscape 010: Blotchy (South Africa)
MusicMap’s ‘Soundscape’ series is the easiest way to keep up with local music scenes and global trends. Every few weeks we visit a different country and serve up a mix of the finest sounds from that area.
Our tenth episode takes us to South Africa, home of some of the world’s most ground-breaking music right now. Our guide is the Barcelona-based Blotchy, who after leaving his hometown of London spent a decade living in Cape Town, where he co-founded the Cold Turkey night and set up the label Bombaada (described as “Cape Town’s Nonchalant Bass Music Label” on SoundCloud).
“The music coming out of SA right now is literally as diverse as their culture is”, Blotchy explains. “That might seem obvious, but it’s never really been the case. There’s definitely a long history of music in South Africa, but in terms of electronic music, for a long time the only genres that gained any real interest locally were Deep House, Kwaito and believe it or not, PsyTrance. This has definitely started changing in recent years and people are starting to take note, with the rise of interest in Gqom and other strictly South African sounds internationally.
“I wanted to showcase some of the more well known artists and sounds with lesser-known acts who are taking original South African rhythms and flipping them in a nu-skool kind of way.”

Populous - Azulejos (Daniel Haaksman Remix) by Daniel Haaksman Daniel Haaksman ́s remixes have been a fixture in the global club scene for years, offering up a hard-to-define blend of Brazilian and Afro sounds mixed with various club genres. “Remixes 2008-2017” shows Daniel Haaksman ́s eclectic sound melded into a more club-friendly format with eleven remixes for artists such as Schlachthofbronx, Batuk, Felipe Cordeiro, Omulu and Populous amongst others, most of which were released over the past nine years. The compilation “Remixes 2008-2017” now anthologises Daniel Haaksman ́s best remixes, covering his finest remixes from 2007 up to 2017. The compilation displays his preference for remixing a diverse range of artists from around the world, including Germany ́s Schlachthofbronx, South Africa ́s Batuk or Weird Together from New Zealand. The opener, a remix for Brazilian Nordestino star Felipe Cordeiro kicks off with a hip shaking, dembow inspired beat. Colombia ́s Makine Del Karibe gets reworked in a tropical house fashion, the Brazilian-French collaboration of Omulu + King Doudou receives a trap inspired treatment. The compilation excels when it showcases Daniel Haaksman ́s knack for transforming the original onto a club ready rework withouth losing the original ́s essence and identity. “Loco” for example by Cuban outfit Madera Limpia is remixed into a dancefloor bomb, deftly layering synths and percussions on a thundering beat. Other highlights include his recent remix for Italian up and commer, Populous as well as Montreal- Moçambican singer Samito. Creating a great remix is a delicate process, one that requires a relationship to the original, yet also a certain forcefulness in order to create a new production, rather than merely adding another beat to an acappella or melody. Over the last decade, Daniel Haaksman has displayed exactly this balance of reverence and confidence, creating his own sound in using the groundwork of others to build upon. This compilation presents Haaksman ́s capacity to produce remixes that sound today as fresh as they did when they were originally released.
