i havent been active in the beyblade fandom for years and lowkey i dont know if i want to be again because there's two types of people in it 1. ryuga and kyoya fans and 2. people who have apparently never done anything in their entire lives except consume every scrap of beyblade content in existence

this is not a diss!! i just am extremely intimidated by the knowledge that the BeybladeVerse is much larger than i can hope to unravel with only my own slightly-more-than-casual interest in the show

Group Sickfic: i'm not confidently sold on anything but I'm currently leaning towards either the HSR nameless via food poisoning or some variation of the Sumeru Cluster with ??? ideas not solid. Both may eventually be written. I'm leaning into the nameless group fic at the moment. The sumeru cluster... Will Happen. At some point.

Professionalism Failure: STRONGLY considering Alhaitham getting sick during a meeting bc he thought he could keep himself under control. ... not sure if reluctant Cyno dealing with him or Kaveh. Stay tuned!

free day: Kiana tried say something, she really did. But Himeko didn't really believe her since she had a habit of trying to get out of class. Fast forward to that evening when Himeko finds her in the bathroom dazed with a fever, etc.

sick for the first time: Stelle [HSR] has no memories of Before and so as an adult trailblazer gets to be sick "for the first time". It's miserable, but March and Dan Heng take good care of her.

Sick in More Ways than One: trailblazer! probably stelle! leaning into the stelleron doing weird shit! Thinkin she picks up something from the crew just in general but it's not Bad:tm: and then she also goes to help herta with SU stuff and things go... south due to a weird interaction in the SU!

sleepy sickie: Shortly after they're reunited in the Chasm, Lumine realizes something is wrong with Xiao-more than his exhaustion, though it certainly plays a factor in everything. He's tired, all the wants to do is sleep. But he's injured and fevered and it gets worse, before it gets better.

head pain/injury/ache: Fu Xuan has a migraine, and perhaps should be resting instead of working, but Jing Yuan has not returned to full duty and someone must hold down the Luofu, after all. (Jing Yuan is not particularly amused)

Havent had time to read the updates. But i do fully expect that the ROs will do something. Bad:tm: to the mc, like emotionally. But like varying levels of intentional, or at least premeditated intention. And idk mc might have another breakdown triggered by it or wtv. Maybe MC is used as bait for the monster.

But im also expecting for my mc to go in romancing one of them and end up so emotionally broken by them as to finish the story solo lmao

Hahaha some predications nonnie. I feel like you can see some light emotional hits when in antagonizing route. Although I think mc is stronger than breaking down based on what the ROs say (at this stage at least), they’ve unfortunately heard worse.

Although the bait thing could only work if mc is a girl. Maybe not, we really haven’t asked the killer about it’s opinion on the gender politics of the 90s, maybe I can give that option when mc’s leg is being nibbled

i do however have a thing for my azem and emet that i wrote a couple of paragraphs for feverishly and tucked away for when i get the correct vibes to write for it

WoL emet who realised "Holy shit that was a fucking MISTAKE" and then just spent the rest of his life trying to atone by doing the WoL stuff. constantly beating himself up for willingly sacrificing everything he held close for the smallest crumb of hope. When he knew he could've found something to do if he had just searched harder and not gave up

then on the flipside. my azem halcyon DID find a way to survive the sundering. and is like "WELL I DIDN'T HEAR NO WORK BELL I AIN'T CLOCKED OUT YET" and did their world walking azem thing and just kinda realised halfway through that "Holy shit emet was right" and then basically filled in the role of solus. joined up with the ascians and starting doing the rejoining thing and setting up the garlean empire to do bad:tm:

they essentially do a swap. While emet remains a sassy son-of-a-bitch he also mellows out more. And looks less like a guy who hasn't slept for decades and more like a "Life is awful but that doesn't mean i should be" attitude and doing the WoL thing throughout the ages. it takes its toll but also power of friendship:tm: and he has the people to support him when he cant, looking past their short lives and celebrating their memories and the evidence that they once existed, and taking their shorter life spans as a blessig to do as much as possible with them. and for them to do as much as they can

And then with my azem/halcyon. you had someone that was quite upbeat and happy just fucking s u f f e r countless lifetimes of finding people to care for. and losing them. constantly which turns them from a up-beat happy muscle mommy into a depressed hasn't slept for decades axe wielding maniac who is no longer happy. and no longer has an unwavering smile

it all has so much angst and so much potential and i wish i didn't require vibes to write

naryu being a femme fatale bisexual stereotype and playing pretty wholesale into hypersexual bisexual stereotypes is Bad:tm: bc bisexuality, esp. re: bi women (bc as you know bi men Do Not Exist in fiction), is often very highly sexualized and is often nothing more than a titillation device to bait straight men bc girl-on-girl is hot and bi women will still fuck you and directly reinforces actual real world harmful stereotypes that are still used to harm bi people right now at this moment. additionally, naryu's sexualization combined with the fact dunmer are pretty hard coded as non-white bleeds into things like her refined character design being arguably some shade of sexist with how it's designed with sex appeal in mind first rather than the actually very established theme of the morag tong, let alone the deeper racist implications considering dunmer coding.

on the other hand, as leader of the bisexual character council naryu being completely and utterly unashamed is completely and utterly hilarious and I love her girlboss energy for it

friend made a crude oil -> plastic production (Dyson Sphere Program, we're using Nebula mod for multiplayer)

he... didn't use a secondary coal input, he cracked the refined oil to make graphite for the plastic (hydrogen byproduct)

there is a patch of coal within easy access of the build site (can make graphite from coal)

he decided to buffer up to 12k graphite, 20k refined oil, 20k hydrogen

30 crude oil -> 30 refined oil + 15 hydrogen, 10 refined oil -> 10 graphite + 10 hydrogen (20 hydrogen catalyst unconsumed), 20 refined oil + 10 graphite -> 10 plastic

30 crude oil -> 10 plastic + 25 hydrogen

he didn't even paint any of the crafts, which would've, at least made it less Bad:tm:?

this was mainbase's only source of plastic, needed for purple science, and then it ground to a halt and i had to tack on a thing to use the coal to turn hydrogen back into refined oil

that said though this is an Experience

rouvastre shows actual signs of turning into a lightwarden earlier than kholusia so. hee hee

alisaie especially (but tbh most of the scions), who is intimately familiar with the process, is in denial the whole time. at least until they’re actively dying from it.

rouvastre is ishgardian by birth, and thus affected by the ratatoskr curse. this is Bad:tm: bc it means their body is already inclined to change without the force of five lightwardens spurring it on. ryne has a hell of a time trying to stem it and only just barely manages it

they’re particularly agitated in rak’tika; some of the worst of drk is happening at the same time and rak’tika is abt when they get really aware via y’shtola abt how much shit they’re in, but h/c time one of the early signs of light corruption is hypersensitivity.

the first of the skin conditions starts showing up in rak’tika. hard patches of scales, that sort of thing, first red and itchy then white. you just brushed against the wrong plant in the swamps, it’s fine, it’s not spreading

by ahm araeng they’re starting to lose time. awareness. a few minutes occasionally turns into an hour. two. three. it gets more frequent. thancred doesn’t let you take watch anymore after you spent an entire night completely unaware of what was going on around you. you don’t remember what happened that night.

by kholusia they’ve drifted away mid-conversation a few times. y’shtola looks terrified but you tell her you’re fine.

(fray keeps yelling at you to wake up, and that’s what keeps you stable. but they’re getting less and less distinct by the day.)

every morning you wake up hungrier. nothing sates you anymore. every day is a new ache, a new pain, but it’s fine. just damage from the road.

you collapse. you wake up to a light-bathed crystarium to fray’s voice yelling in your ear. it’s been six days.

(you assume you’ve been asleep the whole time. the scions will never tell you that you spent five of them awake and unaware and completely unresponsive. ryne looks utterly exhausted. everyone else looks broken and haunted.)

there is a nectarine sitting on your table. you don’t see it.
