Aymr / アイムール
Aymr is an implied replica Hero's Relic created by the Agarthans for Edelgard's use, tied to the Crest of Seiros. Both Amyr and the axe's Japanese name アイムール (rōmaji: aimūru) are derived from different renderings of Aymur, one of the weapons of the Semitic weather god Ba'al. According to the Baal Cycle, one of the oldest and longest epics written originating from the ancient Far East, Ba'al had long been rivals the sea god Yam. The first act (of what remains of the text) begins with the most high god El ordering the god of crafts Kothar to build a palace in honor of his favored son Yam. Kothar is evidently not pleased with this, as he tells Yam his station was earned boldly and without respect for his peers. He warns that Ba'al will not remain idle with the direction of things, and that Yam will fall to a magic weapon. Later, Ba'al and Yam find themselves in mortal combat; the latter is overwhelming the eponymous hero. To Ba'al's aid comes Kothar, who brings him two clubs. One club Ba'al calls Yagrush, meaning "chaser," and the other is called Aymur, meaning "driver". With the dual clubs in hand, he slaughters Yam and proudly announces of the sea god's death and his ascension to the throne.
The combat art of Aymr is Raging Storm or 狂嵐 (rōmaji: kyōran) "Maddening Storm" is likely named such due to Ba'al being a god of weather and storms. Similarly to the combat art of Thunderbrand, the Japanese name of Raging Storm is phonetically the same as 狂乱 (rōmaji: kyōran) meaning "fury; frenzy." This likely relates to the aggressive behavior of Ba'al. There is also a similarity to the word 狂瀾 (rōmaji: kyōran), which refers to raging waves; with Raging Storm simply substituting the kanji for "large wave" for that of "storm," it may be meant to reflect Ba'al's rivalry with and eventual defeat of Yam. Lastly, the phrase 狂瀾怒涛 (rōmaji: kyōrandotou) often refers to whirlpools, but can also refer to periods in which the state of things are in disorder—possibly in reference to the upheaval Edelgard instigates in Fódlan.
This was a segment from a larger document reviewing the name of most every weapon and item in Three Houses and Three Hopes. Click Here to read it in full.

Altruizine had a varied professional career, to say the least, and her weapons reflect that. As a bard, her favored bow is the Yoichi, one of Gerolt's masterpieces and by far her most beloved weapon. She considers it an extension of herself.
She is first and foremost a white mage, though, and through her travels encountered many different staves and foci for her conjury. Of them all, she finds the Aymur easiest to attune to. It seems to have a soothing influence on the elementals, no matter where in the world she is (or even on other reflections), and they will listen and offer counsel more readily.
She does also enjoy the properties of the Cryptlurker's Crook, whose reinforced blunt head and straight shape makes it ideal for the occasional but very important task of smacking an opponent or a disobedient teammate.
Third is Aettir. Ardashir and Gerolt's little experiment, she somehow befriended the being within it. Despite this, she found the process of creating the Anima weapons an aberration, and decided Rowena should not be allowed to manufacture sentient arms. She convinced all involved that the weapons were not worth the arduous processes required to make them and kept the prototypes.

Got the Aymur Anemos! ^-^)9 Stats be: Vit+313, Mnd+323, SpS+292 and Pie+204 ..... 5 MATERIA SLOTS!!! O.O)!!!
I also realized late that even the Anemos left-side gears are all 5 materia slots!! Waow :O I thought it was only the weap that had that!
Hmmm... Eureka's system is fine for me. I can say that the grind isn't as bad as people yell it out to be. I do have a hard time appreciating the map's aesthetic u.u) I wish it were livelier and has more boogey BGM (like Ragnarok Online's! kinda--) But alas... it's an abandoned place sooo :/
Still! Anemos gearset be a good investment :>
Seeing people work hard together in Eureka also makes me feel happy! People there help each other out (cept the unwanted adds-pull part... but then again people still help out on that) Faith in Eorzean humanity restored!! jkjk~ But yeah, protip: party up with people and focus on levelling up. Worry about the crystals later cuz really.. you'll get a lot of them in later levels :D Counting the crystals you need in total early on will just demotivate you and stress you out >.<
I also got the SMN Anemos weapon and all the SMN left-side gearset. My WHM is geared with 370s/360s from tomes and raidou, so I decided to spoil my SMN aaa~ I was about to share a smashin screenshot of my dyed SMN gear (to blue! cuz.. Bahamuut~ <3) But figured it would reveal my identitea (._.)
Hope y'all are having fun with the new patch! ^-^/ What weapon/gearset are you shooting for? Are you gearing your main or second class? Do you guys have special Eureka experiences? Puns found in the Shout there are interesting too hmmhmm~ Top of my head, I remember some like “Guess he short-Serketed” and “His days were Numbered” xDD hahaha!

Divinities Part VII : Kushor
Also known as: Kushor-and-Khasis (Skilled and Clever)
Parents: ‘Hunter’ and ‘Fisherman’
Siblings: Various
Abode: Menef (in Egypt), Kaphtor (Crete), Malage (Tarshish)
Planet: Mercury
Equated to foreign deities: Enki, Ea, Ptah, Hephaistos, Zeus Meilikhios, Vulcanus
Description:
Kushor is a craftsman-god, known for his skill at building and making things. It was he who forged Baal-Hadad’s two weapons, Yagrush and Aymur, in his fight against Yamm. From his home in Egypt, he is said to have first invented the hook, bait, line, and raft, while his brothers invented bricks. These secrets they taught to the first humans. He is also skilled in magic, and he first taught knowledge of incantation and divination.
When Baal killed the sea-dragon, Litan, he had Kushor build him his heavenly palace of gold, silver, lapis lazuli, and cedar wood. Kushor, in his wisdom, also had a window constructed, from whence Baal could send his life-giving rains to nourish the children of men.
In treaties, he is invoked alongside Baal-Zaphan and Baalshamem.
Because of Kushor’s great skill in making and crafting, in some creation stories, it was he who first split heaven and earth, and built the firmament to hold back the cosmic waters.

Trust Meme
I missed out on this when it was going around so, old meme here we go
Selection: “As you wish!”
Description: Renowned warrior in two realms, Elletha brings a unique set of skills to the party. Boasting in high healing skills and unusual amounts of damage, she’ll keep you alive while also taking down tough bosses with ease.
Weapons: Antiquated Aymur and The King’s Cane
AI Behaviour: She focuses mainly on healing and playing her favourite game of “how low can you go”. Will prioritise spamming holy and glare on packs of mobs over paying attention to the tank’s health until she is forced to use benediction or has generated a lily. In the case of boss encounters, she will start her rotation and focus mainly on dps until either the tank or party need healing.
While using “Presence of Mind” she will refuse to heal anyone regardless of how much damage they have taken until the buff expires, then she will deal with the aftermath. Only ever uses “Assize” for damage and mainly uses her lilies to heal. If party members are consistently low, she will enter “Panic Mode”, where she’ll focus on healing AoEs and applying all her buffs such as “Plenary Indulgence” and “Temperance” until the party is back at an acceptable level of health.
While keeping party members alive is her priority, if the Limit Break is at 3 bars she will attempt to save herself to get in a good position to cast “Pulse of Life”. Will use her own personal Limit Break if the boss is low enough and no dps role has attempted to use it. Her personal LB looks similar to “Afflatus Misery”, the target explodes into red lilies that whither and fall off once the damage has been done. Appears as if the flowers grew from inside the target.
Combat Lines: “I’ve got your back.” - Start of a fight “Are you alright?” - Healing Variation “Don’t worry!” - Healing Variation “Be more careful!” - Healing a DPS “That looked like it hurt...” - Healing after a tankbuster “You’re not done yet!” - Revive Variation “We still need you!” - Revive Variation “Come on!” - Reviving the same ally twice “Next time I’ll leave you there!” - Reviving the same ally thrice “I’ll get to you soon!” - Ally takes damage while PoM is active “Oh... merde.” - Ally dies while PoM is active
Limit Break: “I can’t do this alone!” - Pulse of Life “I’ve been holding onto this one for a while!” - Special LB
KO’d: “Oops...” “I need... to protect...” “I’m sorry I failed....” “My... dps....” - Killed in PoM (rare line)
Revived: “Apologies about that one...” “I should be the one looking after you, not the other way around...” “Oh that thing’s gonna get it now!” - Revived 3+ times in one fight
Victory: “Everyone alright?” “C’est un jeu d’enfant!” - (equivalent to “child’s play” or “piece of cake”) “I need a drink after that...” - If she died 3+ times during duty
Bonus: Elletha will have banter mostly with Alphinaud, Alisaie, Thancred or the Crystal Exarch. Banter is mostly friendly with some teasing in there, as opposed to her banter with Thancred, which is more full of insults and poking fun at each other.
Follows the tank around and refuses to go in front of them, will rescue other party members back if they attempt to pull before the tank does.
#final fantasy xiv#final fantasy 14#ffxiv#ffxiv trust meme#elletha#do I know anything about french? no#did I add it in? yes#I took french once in high school for like a year and retained none of it but fake french elezen is important to elle so I had to add some#this was a lot of fun tho and mostly a callout post for myself

Trust NPC || Rayn Atkascha
Selection: “I won’t let you down!”
Job: White Mage
Weapons: Aymur Anemos; A staff when wielded by Rayn glistens with a pink hue. When casting any magic, white aetherial butterflies float around the staff.
AI Behavior: Rayn will often stay behind the party as they travel through any instance. If travelling through a dungeon with darker elements, Rayn will walk closely behind whoever is in front of her and have debuff Scared placed on her. Scared will lower Rayn’s HP %, but increase Spell Speed and Mind. If party member is Friendly, Rayn will take hold of their elbow when Scared.
In combat, Rayn will focus her aether on consistently keeping Regen on the tank after they have established aggro. You will hear her rally the tank to pull as much as they’re able to, or are comfortable with. When fighting enemies casting large AOEs often, you’ll hear Rayn giggling, “It’s just like dancing!” When Scared, Rayn will instead whimper and maybe squeal as she narrowly avoids AOEs by standing right beside them.
After discerning the boss’s moves, Rayn will begin to catch on and preemptively begin casting healing spells and shields at the primary target. She will often overheal. If boss begins casting an attack with a stack marker, Rayn will erect a large bubble of white aether, ie Collective Unconscious. When party is near full HP and has Medica II, Rayn will begin focusing her aether on casting offensive white magic, ie Glare.
Battle Lines:
“This ends here!” - Starting Attack Line
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you!” - Using Curing Spells (on tank)
“I won’t let them hurt you!” - Using Curing Spells (on DPS)
“Yoink!~” - Assisting an ally (Using Rescue)
“No!!!” - Assisting an ally (Using Benediction)
“To me! Hurry!” - Assisting an ally (Using Collective Unconscious)
“This can’t be! Wait… I think if I… There!” - Reviving someone
Party Member specific lines:
If Eanrin Farthestshore is in the party:
“Show off.” – Upon Eanrin pulling a large amount of mobs (as tank), using large AOEs (as Bard).
“Oh no.. not again!” – When Eanrin falls below 50% HP.
“Ooh! I love this one!” – Rayn will hum along when Eanrin sings as Bard.
“Uhm.. Eanrin...?” – If Rayn draws aggro by any means.
“I can’t lose you, too! No!!!” - If Eanrin is KO’d. Rayn will quickly shield the party member with highest aggro, and then begin to Raise Eanrin Farthestshore.
If Mallo Ra’ri is in the party:
“Did you bring enough Pastry Fish?” – When starting the instance.
“Don’t you go getting lost again, alright?” – If Mallo falls behind Rayn.
“Get away from him!” – If Mallo is targeted with any damage marker, Rayn will cast Divine Benison to shield him quickly. She may even attempt to bind the mob with Fluid Aura.
“Oooh! What did you find this time?!” – When Mallo picks up treasure chests.
“I can’t lose you again, please!” – If Mallo is KO’d. Rayn will overheal the tank, and then combine Swiftcast and Raise on Mallo Ra’ri.
Limit Break:
N/A - Using limit break with 1 bar
N/A - Using limit break with 2 bars
“Even if it costs me everything, you all must live...” - Using limit break with 3 bars
KO’d:
“I.. I tried…”- Variation 1
“As long as you survive…” - Variation 2
“Take care of… the Embers…” - KO’d with Eanrin Farthestshore in the party.
“Watch over him...” – KO’d with Eanrin Farthestshore and/or Mallo Ra’ri in the party.
Revived:
“I can’t thank you enough…” - Variation 1
“I guess I’m still not strong enough…” - Variation 2
“I can’t leave the Golden Embers! You can’t cook, anyway.” - Revived with Eanrin in the party.
“Phew.. that was a close one.. did you at least find treasure?” – Revived with Mallo in the party.
BONUS:
Rayn will sometimes stop when travelling to study the way something is built, crafted, or sewn. She’s always looking for new ways to make things, and will usually talk aloud when making mental notes about how to construct something.
Tagged By: @tales-of-wanderer-sal I can’t thank you enough for always being so thoughtful and tagging me, sending me asks, and being just a downright awesome lady. ;_; <3 I hope you enjoy reading this, and I can’t wait to see if anyone uses it! <3
Tagging: @chammachamma @ramblingsofseh and anyone who’s reading this right now! <3 I’m horrible at tagging people because I’m shy (and also have very little contacts on here). So if you’re like me (super shy and nervous) and you find something amazing, don’t wait for someone to tag you, go for it! <3
I’ll probably be editing this in the future as more connections are made ICly. Rayn loves personal interactions with people, so stay tuned if you want your character to become Friendly with her! <3

SULTAN MURAD IV APPRECIATION WEEK!
1 day friday - au-history
• AU history: Paradise of Sultan Murad
"Cold, long winter, whose end you will not notice. Eternity flies not noticeably, along with this cloudy day ..
Only the strength does not suffice, in order to get up, grab for the last chance to bring back all life back. When you did not commit those mistakes that would be fatal in the future for you. You did not do those deeds that you never forgive. Where is the end of the torment? .. The end will come very soon, so quickly that you will not even notice. But how will you meet your end? In solitude, anguish? .. Without care, affection, even without the tenderness of love? ..The end will come very soon, so quickly that you will not even notice. But how will you meet your end? Alone, yearning? .. Without care, affection, even without the tenderness of love? .. Quiet, loneliness consumes you, it only remains to drink the devil knows what glass of wine and slowly die. And what happened before, Murad? Why did everything become so careless, endless, spinning in a circle? Death is the best cure for you, Murad. A sip of wine is harmful and only one sip will make you escape from hell. Last breath. Beat the glass on the floor. Darkness in the eyes. The end. But, maybe it's not the end? After all, the light that strikes the eye can not talk about the end. Only by opening your eyes will you see that it was not at the end, but at the very beginning. The beginning of a bright past.
— Murad ..? Light in the eyes, fragrant smells and tender voice reminds of yourself a bright memory and a bitter farewell. Ayse. "Life", "living", "living". There are many meanings for this name, but only one meaning comes to Murad's head - Love. Early, sensual, first and mutual love. How much can you be attached to the first love? — Murad ..? Again a gentle voice calls to him, stupefying his timbre. — Ayse ..?
Face, standing in the middle of a luxurious garden, charmed Murad in a snow-white, innocent and angelic dress. It was the first love that stood before him. His Ayse. A gentle dress developed in the wind, and her hair was like leaves of trees, evolving in all directions. Easy smile, instant reminiscence. Forgetting everything, Murad wanted to touch this gentle face.
— My Murad, Lord of my Heart .. A beautiful diva easily smiled at him, accepted him, his soul, heart and even a piece of pride. Murad immediately approached a wonderful diva and kissed Ayse's sweet, peach-like lips. Sugary taste, floral smell made Murad fly away from reality. After the kiss, she hugged him tightly, pressing with all her might that she could.
—I waited for you to come to me and we'll stay together forever.
And you came ...
Murad embraced her with a slight trembling, like a fluff that he did not want to crush. Letting go of this tender bird, he ran a hand over her cheek, forcing millions of creeps on Ayse's body. Tenderly and carefully, Ayse took his hand and squeezed it to the knuckles. She led him in the direction of the light that took in this magical garden. The tenderness of Ayse's soul was passed on to Murad, after which he slowly followed his lover. His heart was filled with trembling, and the smile that appeared on his face never disappeared .... "

The Edelgard and Garon comparisons made me laugh, because now I'm imagining Edelgard meeting Garon for diplomacy, and when he tries to kill her, she immediately shoves Aymur in his face because of how blatantly evil he was. Then Hubert shows up and casually mocks Garon for having the most conspicuous and obvious spies/assassins possible. Similar thing with Dimitri; "I am King Garon of Nohr and- AAAAAHHHH!" he's promptly cut off by Dimitri throwing Areadbhar at him.
even THSITD would be be contemptuous towards Garon

all stormblood combat job AF ranked by how good drividot looks in them (1/2)
before we start:
1. all the af3 is in its default dye colors because jfc, NO, i refuse to unlock dyes on all of them. no.
2. non-combat af3 is not included because it’s a pain in the ass in to get and i already had my inventory and armory bursting at the seams to do this. maybe later.
3. i picked one backdrop and one /gpose setting and did all the af under those same conditions, this may distort the results because, y’know, different colors look different depending on lighting conditions. whatever.
here we go:
that is a dang good sword, shame about the shield though. i appreciate branching out from plate and mail, but i’m not sure about motif coherency on the ornamentation. color scheme mostly good for driv excepting the pinkish tinges (although careless gold and silver mixing is one of my least favorite things ever). i don’t know--it was super hype at first, but i think it outlived its novelty.
PLD: ⭐⭐1/2
well it’s the best war set on driv yet...? (that is not a high bar to clear). still appreciating the step away from full plate, but less confident that this works as well as pld’s tabard. mixing all the different colors and textures of metal here is a bold move, as is adding feathers. it could be worse.
WAR: ⭐⭐
ohhh, i am so very disappointed by this. the initial drk af was nearly perfect on drividot, so this had a long way to fall and well, fall it did. i wanted to like the purple half-tabard thing much more than i did, and this set’s departure from plate makes it look like a kid’s foam-padded batman halloween costume on drividot. it is at least consistent and coherent, though. the best thing about this set is the sword, as its three-dimensionality and asymmetry are genuinely fun and interesting.
DRK: 1/2⭐
this turned out much better than i was expecting--but honestly, most of that is the chestpiece. the gloves, trousers, and boots are all distinctly underwhelming, and i’m still confused about why the tiara introduces the glowing teal gems, a color that appears nowhere else in the entire set. as complements to an actually nice chestpiece, they are functional. and while i think aymur is a beautiful design for a white mage cane, it doesn’t go at all with the rest of the seventh heaven set--not remotely, not in feel, not in color, not in texture, or ornament. the seventh heaven chest piece is good, but it can’t carry the whole ensemble.
WHM: ⭐1/2
aha. now we are cooking with gas. this is much less daring than the above ensembles, true, but it pays off in consistent, solid good looks. the relatively limited palette avoids over-ornamentation and mixing trim colors, so everything comes together really nicely. the green even manages to look good on drividot, which is something i had worried about. and though there’s not much in the picture, the weapon is absolutely gorgeous, with so many little details and creative additions. i love it.
SCH: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
remember how i said that some of the pictures wound up suffering for my refusal to adjust backdrop and lighting (because if i fucked around to optimize for each one it would have taken hours and hours)? this is the first victim. this looks completely amazing on drividot in most situations, but alas, the colors don’t quite look right here. that aside, though, i love this entire set: intricate, good colors, highly aesthetic--the only demerits i really have for it are for how the orange sash doesn’t have a dye channel of its own, and the whole problems with AST af and gender changes that have been an issue since the job’s introduction.
AST: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
in a reversal of the previous ensemble, i think that this set is actually being done quite a few favors by the lighting. as a whole, this set actually looks remarkably good on drividot, considering that it was optimized for character designs/aesthetics that are nothing like driv’s. it doesn’t clash horribly with his color scheme, and its flourishes and quirks (fur, fringes, asymmetrical elements) actually work in a way they didn’t with the various tank afs because they mesh well with and further the rough-and-tumble brawly-ness of MNK. also i adore magic-sigil fist weapons. can we have more of that? please?
MNK: ⭐⭐⭐1/2
the ultimate problem with all DRG af post-ARR is that they have to try and improve on the lvl50 DRG af, and that is really, really hard. and ultimately, this set doesn’t succeed at it, but strangely i find myself cheering for it all the same. the introduction of gold trim is very good, and it comes off as correctly spiky without being self-parodying. if drg af1 was the highest form of it, the peak, the fully parade-ready uniform of a knight dragoon, this af3 feels like a more “practical,” more “knight errant” on-the-road version of it. it honestly has grown on me since launch in a big way.
DRG: ⭐⭐⭐
hot DAMN. just. holy shit. there are some items in the game where i’m convinced the costume designers were thinking of red-headed dark grey duskwight boys when they designed them, this is the first time i’ve had that feeling about an entire set. from the color scheme to the cut to the slashing curves and points of the ornament, this straight-up looks like this was made for drividot.
NIN: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
this is another one that looks straight-up like they designed this for drividot--which was shocking for me, i wasn’t expecting to look good as a samurai. that being said, though, there are a couple things that disqualify this from a perfect score like ninja--most of all, that, like WHM, the chestpiece is doing 99% of the heavy lifting, with other pieces having only minimal presence. i really would like for the sandals and gloves to be better and more visible. and also i gotta say i hate the little chinstrap on the hat. (it’s petty, but i really really do).
SAM: ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2
